Ive been searching for a good plate of fish and chips, so I decided to try this spot out. I arrived near closing time, but the gentleman who served me still engaged in a good conversation and recommended that I try the haddock and chips. I gave it a shot, and lets just say I will be returning.

Loved the fish here! Got the lunch special (a worthy deal) - also tried the fries, coleslaw, and calamari rings here. Service and cleanliness of this place was 5/5! Would recc when youre in the area!

A little disappointing. Fries were not seasoned at all, shrimp were coconut shrimp which we dont like. The halibut was pretty good, but overall disappointing.

After trying the other fish and chips shops in Milton, years ago, and realising I could make better using frozen fish and chips and an oven, we found this gem. Lovely owners and really good fish and chips. Great prices too. Having lived on the coast in England for 30yrs, I am really picky about my F&C. If anything, I just wish they still sold cod and offered mushy peas, but still cant complain.

It s a take out only place that s why I understand they didn t really make it with a great atmosphere for ppl since you re supposed to come pickup and go.

We loved the batter and the fish, and the fries were perfect! Onion rings, yummy! The only to thing was the coleslaw needed more dimension! It tasted very oniony and needs more colour. We will be back. First timers as we always went to the other place but their food has gone bland.

Decided to try Milton Fish & Chips instead of my usual place in Milton and was I ever pleased. The food was fresh, hot and tasty. Will definitely be going back more often.

Soooo good, wonderful portions, so worth the trip

Today, Good Friday was our first visit. After almost living in town for 13 years, we finally tried this gem. It was awesome! There was a lineup, and we were told of an approximate 60-70 minute wait for food, but the line moved quickly, and efficiently. Staff were very nice, and seemed to appreciate the patience customers were showing. The wait was SO worth the food we received! Huge portions, and it was fantastic.! We normally go to another local fish & chips in town, but no more. We will now be regulars at Milton Fish & Chips. Thanks so much for a great meal. We are looking forward to the next time. Thank you!

Great lunch special.

Recently we ordered the 5 piece Haddock which was not alot of batter and ALOT of fish. Its like eating a fish steak its so thick and tasty I give it a 5. The french fries were dry probably double fried. We ate them but they could have been better. In all fairness we went in on a really busy night. I would definitely go again.

I usually get the haddock and its a good portion - nice and meaty with a nice batter coating. Have ordered from here half-a-dozen times so far, and have yet to be disappointed. The place is clean and the couple who runs it is very nice.

This was my first visit. I liked it very much. The portions are full size, the quality of cooking oil is clean! The other compertitors cut the fish, so thin, one can hardly taste it. Well they lost my business for good. Hope this shop maintains quality, or else we will move in. Keep up the good cooking, Cook!

Best fish and chips Ive ever had. Mostly because of the batter on the fish. We had the cod and yeah... It was seriously so good. The fries had a nice taste but could have been crispier.

Always a great meal no matter what time of day. We usually get a combination of halibut, haddock and sometimes cod. All the fish are tasty and always just enough batter. The chips and onion rings are fried up with just as much care and very flavourful. The attention to detail even goes down to the coleslaw which is a great side dish.

One of my favorite restaurant. My two daughters are huge fan of this place as well. Clean and solid food. Two thumbs up

This place came highly recommended so I went... I order 2 pcs of Halibut and fries to share with someone at work... This cost $30 (which is very expensive to me for what I got). More batter than fish and the fries were the smallest portion Ive seen... I understand fish and chips are supposed to be oily but this was a whole new level.

This is my main fish and chips spot in Milton. I like the batter and the fries better than the other places. The lunch special is a good deal. And the owner is really friendly. Its steadily busy whenever I go, so that speaks to the quality and popularity. It has a small dining area of 4-5 tables, but one is usually open. Fresh cut lemon quarters and fresh tartar sauce would be my only recommendations.

The owner had said the halibut and haddock were the customers go to - I can see why. I highly recommend the haddock. Coming from toronto where there are some major contenders, Milton fish and chips doesnt try to reinvent the wheel, they just give you some great seasoned fish fried to golden perfection.

We were on our way to Toronto and stopped here for lunch because of its high rating. Well it deserves that good rating. The fish was crisp, hot and delicious. The cole slaw was crunchy and cold. Nice place. Very clean.

A cozy little restaurant, a nice place to go when youre waiting for an oil change or your tires to be changed around the corner. You cant beat a 7-dollar halibut and chips lunch special and its not like Im expecting Bruce from Jaws as a fish portion with declining fish stocks in the North Atlantic but to throw in a few more french fries to bulk up the meal wouldnt be a bad idea either. (Are potatoes drastically expensive in Milton, or what?) The Cole slaw, not included in the lunch special and not expecting it to be, wasnt very tasty nor did it break the bank in cost. Dude, head down the street to Golden Fish And Chips for lessons in French Fry portions and in making a zesty Cole slaw. All in all, certainly not a bad dine and I would head back should I be temporarily in the vicinity without access to a car. The owner is a friendly congenial fellow and deserves a little more business with such a positive attitude.

As an Englishman fish and chips is never the same as in the motherland, however this is as close as I have had in Canada.

Halibut is fantastic, hand cut to order, thats so good to see quality still matters. This is fish n chips done right, will be back.

My first visit. Staff were very nice & friendly, I had the Haddock fish & chips lunch special. Hot & crispy batter, delicious & great well made fry s. Good serving size. All the condiments (vinegar s, lemon juice, ketchup, tarter provided). Ate in and had table service. Please make the choice & I think like me, you will be returning. Enjoy.
