I had a very disappointing experience. The Boy at the front counter was extremely rude and unprofessional. Instead of being helpful, they seemed irritated, which made the entire visit unpleasant. Customer service is a crucial part of any food business, and unfortunately, it was completely lacking here. Dont visit there..

Served cold food not up to standard the taste varies depending on chef and moods of staff as well as the portions very unorganized establishment.

Called up for a party order, but it doesn t give all the details in the description about the no. of pieces, so had to call up and ask. First time we called, they asked us to call back, which we happily obliged. We called up after 10-15min again, the person attending was one of the most rude person we spoke to( we were very polite). He made us feel like he was doing us a favor to take the order. We generally order every other weekend from this place. But this experience- really not happy. If you do not have time to answer queries, or if you are busy, ask politely to call back later time, don t need to be rude.

I don t generally like to leave negative reviews, but rude behaviour of waiter Nikhil has made me write this review. We arrived at the location at 10:40pm, 20 min before closing to order takeout. Nikhil didn t even let us see the menu and forced us to decide under 30 seconds. He did not even answer any of our questions regarding menu items angrily rebuking us and telling us that he only cares about closing at this time. Such rude and condescending behaviour is unacceptable, should not be tolerated under any circumstances. As avid lovers of biryani, we no longer would be visiting this establishment of thebiryaniwala milton to encounter such hostile hospitality.

We had heard so much about Biryaniwalla and were looking for this place to open and we were not dissapointed. We ordered boneless chicken biryani, Konaseema mutton biryani and Gobi Manchurian. Gobi Manchurian was crisp and i would say must have dish. The biryani was well cooked, the mutton and chicken were fresh and properly cooked and we could literally smell the flavour...I have been a connoisseur of biryani for many many years and cook it at home...I can tell the quality of biryani when I come across one. DEFINITELY a go to place in our small town.

I have always ordered biryani here.. today i ordered chicken fry biryani which had a weird taste and the chicken was not fresh its was hard and not tender as the chicken should be.. I called out on saying and the manager got angry and called his chef to taste the food and he tasted himself and told me everything is good I told him it s not the first time iam ordering food from him but he was very defensive and told me that he will not take any more order for me.. I don t understand i told him very politely that food is not tasting good he refunded me the money but he was very rude However the chef was very polite to me I don t think here feed back is appreciated please don t return the food even if the food is stale.. the manager will not appreciate a good feedback.

Ordered a couple weeks back and had the worst biryani in terms of quality. The biryani tasted like washed rice and washed chicken. I guess they were using the washing machine to cook the biryani (or the dishwasher). Seriously needs help. Would not recommend from a quality perspective. Also super expensive for what you get

This is easily the worst Biryani Wala location. The chicken and paneer portions are always small, and the chicken is often undercooked. Scarborough has the best taste, followed by North York, and then this one. Unless you have no other choice, avoid getting food from here. The staff is friendly and seating is fine, but the food quality and taste are terrible.

The food was average. Its not dum biriyani, In the ready pulav they mix chicken The,mutton or curries. The staff were very rude.

Unfortunately and very alarmingly, found piece of what looks to be metal sponge in the biryani. How did it end up here? Thinking twice before trusting here again... Weve been getting biryani from here at least twice a month. Gongura biryani is usually our go-to. The past 2 months, I feel the quality has gone down. Lately its been quite dry, and very dry and small pieces of chicken. Doesnt taste fresh. Sorry, wont be a regular anymore.

I usually order Biryani from this place and have always had a good experience. Today, I ordered a tray for 10 people, and the person who took my order over the phone said it would be ready in an hour. However, when I arrived to pick it up, he told me my order was delayed due to some Uber orders. He also mentioned that for large orders, I should have ordered a day in advance. I told him that he should have communicated that when I placed the order, and he responded by saying I don t care about your order and was very rude. While the food is great, I think the staff needs to learn some basic customer service skills and manners.

The Hyderabadi Mutton Dum Biryani was average overall. It didn t quite capture the authentic flavors of traditional Hyderabadi biryani. The taste was a bit underwhelming and could definitely use some improvement to bring out the rich spices and distinct layers typical of a genuine biryani. The dish seemed more like a chicken rice/pulav preparation rather than an authentic dum biryani. The Hyderabadi Mirchi ka Saalan was disappointing. The consistency was far too soupy, which made it feel more like a thin gravy than the thick, flavorful curry expected. Unfortunately, the dish lacked the rich, balanced taste usually associated with traditional Hyderabadi Saalan. It could benefit from a richer blend of spices to bring out the authentic flavors. Customer service was good and they attended us well. Infact the lady was very generous and also took our feedback positively. Overall it was average experience but I think they can improvise it to make it more authentic.

Ordered konaseema paneer and Pachinirchi chicken biryani, that taste and quantity hits just perfect ! Must try ! I Highly recommend this place !

Had high hopes with this place as its newly opened and while visiting my friend in Milton I picked Boneless chicken and Paneer Biryani. Surprisingly, the biryani is 95% rice and 5% chicken/paneer respectively. After eating them we were left with almost 50% of rice with nothing in it. Generally we haven t seen that ratio anywhere else. I hope they know what they are doing in name of a business. Taste is also not that good. For sure first and the last time. The friends we visited also had the same thing to say and one of them has more than 10K followers. She is going to post the same on her account to make others aware!

I am writing this feedback based on my last three orders, and I must say I am deeply disappointed with the overall experience: Order 1: The biryani lacked masala entirely, which ruined the dish. When I called to report this, the response I received was We have tried mixing masala in the base; that s why it might feel like the masala is less. I felt it to be an excuse rather than effort to solve problem. Given my recent experience I started calling restaurant every time i place my order to make it good but nothing has changed in the recent two orders. Order 2: The salan was spoiled. I chose not to report it because I had already faced an issue with the previous order, and I did not want to go through the hassle of complaining again. However, this left me highly dissatisfied. Order 3 (Today s Order): To my utter frustration, the salan was spoiled once again. When I contacted the restaurant, I was told, You are the first person to report the issue, and upon checking, it is spoiled. You can ask for salan the next time you come to the restaurant. This response was infuriating. Instead of addressing the problem with the current order, the only thing offered was a half-hearted apology and a vague suggestion for the future. What should I do with my current meal? Am I expected to just throw it away and bear the loss? This kind of service is completely unacceptable, especially from a reputed franchise. Three consecutive orders with issues show a clear lack of quality control and attention to customer satisfaction. The casual attitude of the management and the absence of any meaningful resolution leave me feeling disrespected as a customer. Until the franchise takes serious action to ensure consistent food quality and implement better customer service practices, I will not be ordering again. I expect better from a brand that claims to deliver quality food.

Do not order from their website. Every entree comes with a rice or naan, but only if you order it over phone or in person. If you order from their website, they only provide the curry for the same price. It was pretty disappointing that even the manager there couldnt do anything about it. Please fix your website.

I ordered chicken & vag., biryani but no taste at all on chicken biryani and the sauce they gave on side was totally tasteless, Vag., biryani was also not that good, no vagetables only 95% rice. I called them about it but they were not concerned about it at all. This is my first and last time for this place

Attention if you have allergies please don t trust them. Ordered twice before from them and i was told no nuts in my order. Today the person ignorantly kept saying they cannot share recipee when asked if the same dish i have ordered twice has nuts in them and continued to deal with me rudely, so not sure if i was risking my family s health by trusting them or they hired someone new but don t risk it

I just ordered Palnadu Chicken Biryani. I have order earlier also, this time taste was different and when I called the restaurant they told me that Management has changed the receipe, this was not expected as I was not told in advance when I ordered the the food. Really disappointed by the service.

Tasty Biryani and tandoori chicken! Other dishes are average. I usually always order biryani here, bucket, different flavors. There is not much difference in flavors though. Biryani is tasty and also chicken tandoori. I once ordered naan and a chicken curry. It was average in taste. Vegetarian options: They have veg dishes!!

Originally this started out as a favorite from the time they opened. We ordered tray and after tray week after week. Then the quality of the food degraded, so we ordered less often. However, the final straw was the lies and deceit. They have a loyalty system where every tray you order you get a stamp on a loyalty card. After 10 stamps (meaning you spent about $350-500 with them) you get any biryani tray for free. However the catch was if you ordered by Uber (or similar companies) you do not get a stamp. This was never mentioned until after you placed the order. Second thing, they said we could redeem for any biryani. No restrictions. I mean after spending hundreds of dollars with them it makes sense. However they lied and upon redeeming they said it was for select biryanis not everything. The quality degrading and the lies stopped us from ever coming here again. They lost a loyal customer forever.

Got take out twice on separate occasions. Both times it was the mutton biryani. I was pleasantly surprised as the biryani tasted perfectly delicious.

While i am rating this i am astonished that the average rating is just 4.2 in google. For me this is the best biryani in town (i have tried almost all biryani places in milton and none can compare to this). Just love the palnadu chicken biryani amongst all the other equally good biryanis that i have tried. Keep up the great work!!!

Worst experience when I ordered with Uber one. After like 20 mins of ordering, they called me and said no food available. They were not even ready to give a different briyani for the same price. It s happening to me second time and I feel they are doing it purposely to pull customer to order higher amount briyani and just showcase offer in the app. By the time they cancelled the order, all other restaurants were closed as well. I had to do something else for the kids. Worst customer service in the phone as well.

Ordered a bucket of hyderbadi briani.. honestly it was an ok briani not a great flavorful wow biryani as expected...rice was well cook but dry n colorful.. charging 29$+ which is almost 2.5 the single portion price,chicken also should have been properly portioned like 5 pieces at least.. despite telling the guy at the counter, he shows no empathy at all.Seems to be another newbie in the business...

Went in to get dinner for me and my dad, ordered their tandoori half chicken, chicken quorma and 3 tandoori rotis. Got home and the quorma was actually butter chicken. The tandoori roti was half inedible due it being hard/brittle. The tandoori chicken was undercooked. Overall an embarrassing showing. Even silver spoon has better quality control than this place. Dont eat here go elsewhere

I ordered mutton dum biryani along with chicken biryani and some breads from this restaurant through Uber eats today(jul-16-2024). They surely sell 2-3 days old biryani. The mutton biryani was so soggy, stinking and inedible. This has surely ruined my experience with them and would think twice before ordering next time. I called the restaurant and they accepted the food was old. This restaurant surely lacks basic quality and safety checks with the food they prepare and serve.please order with caution, especially when you have kids at home.

Do not order trays from the Milton location, they send stale food! As I read other reviews here it clearly seems there s a trend of the location sending stale food. Also staff do not appreciate feedback so don t bother calling in. Just avoid the Milton location.

Nice to have biryaniwalla in Milton, I like their taste and drive to Scarborough to taste their food but now they made it easier for me, even it has dine in options for this location which made me more happier. I have tasted almost every biryani and they are maintaining good quality as of Scarborough location.

Ordered mild shahi paneer biryani and butter chicken. Portion sizes were too small, minimal paneer and chicken. Biryani was flavorful but spicy. Have had better butter chicken in the area. Will be taking my business elsewhere.

I dined in on Tuesday June 11. Positives were the ambiance and the service. The waiter was nice, the place was clean and the chairs were comfortable. The food was ranging from okay to undercooked and/or stale ingredients. The dum chicken biryani was okay, a little bland for my taste. Overall the taste was South Asian food for non-South Asians . Please read on. The special mixed grill chicken was undercooked which is dangerous, see the photo. The hyderabadi chicken curry was CLEARLY using old chicken tossed in what must have been refrigerated sauce. Giveaways were that the dish came out lukewarm, the curry sauce was not steaming, and there was no separated oil indicative of something that was freshly made and fried, it was all homogenous. The chicken piece I tried to eat had a hard exterior like it had been previously cooked and kept, no way it was freshly fried and cooked in the curry. I had the manager or non waiter person put his hand on the dish to see how it was not hot. To his credit, he comped the dish and the undercooked barbecue chicken. Maybe it s not this bad every day, judging from the reviews, but food like this shouldn t EVER be served.

We usually only order biryani from here, tried paneer and kofta biryani they have previously been great but yesterday we ordered khadhi paneer and it was so oily and tasted very stale, the color of the gravy was also off putting. We pretty much threw it all away. We also ordered kofta biryani this time and it was very dry. Please maintain quality or you will lose customers you had gained

Great taste, great location , great staff, affordable prices , clean and what not. Been to this place today , with no expectations as this is a new restaurant but am fortunate to be more than satisfied with everything. Service was great they help you in recommending dishes , and in explaining whats what if its your first time trying these dishes.We had paya soup, chicken 65, and a starter platter including chicken and mutton buryani. I wouldnt rate even a single dish less than 5. Dishes are not too spicy, no unnecessary Masalas added, pleasant aroma will leave you happy. Regardless of how much we ordered , the bill will leave you surprised when compared to any other restaurant prices. Go try this place, you wont be disappointed.

Ordered Garlic Naan, Hyderabadi Chicken Curry and Malai Chicken Tikka ! Garlic Naan was too thick ! Hyderabadi chicken curry was good ! Malai Chicken Tikka should have been named Charcoal Burnt Tikka ! It s over burnt , stale (should have been prepared hours ago and reheated in the oven for us) and hard as a rock ! Malai chicken tikka was supposed to be soft, creamy and juicy but I don t know what it was they gave me !! Wouldn t recommend this restaurant !

I had the Hyderabadi chicken dum briyani! It was mildly flavored and authentic in taste. The bucket for 3 people is worth the price. Service was good and pleasant. If the standards are maintained, it will be a go to place for briyani.

Waste! Overpriced and with only 7 to 8 small meat pieces. $20 for their best seller, Hyderabadi Mutton Biryani, which has a lot of rice and only 7 to 8 small pieces of meat, with no drinks. Insane! This negative feedback is solely for the person who is running this place. I live in Milton, and the reason your biryani place is always empty is that you are not providing anything better. Instead, you are charging much more than others. Try Dera Biryani, Silver Spoon, or Biryani Boys. Paying $20 for biryani for one person with such small portions and no drinks is too much. One of the worst Biryani s from Biryaniwalla. I order Mutton Fry Piece biryani just to find out that there are NOT enough Pieces in the Biryani, just Oil and Rice. I have to dig into the entire Bucket biryani to find handful of BONELESS pieces. (Yes, not even the bone pieces) I say this while comparing the Meat quantity and quality of Biryaniwalla s outlet in Scarborough and Cambridge. I am never getting Biryani from this place again. I feel that I have being robbed of good food and lost $50.

I was looking forward to enjoying a great meal, but the bad smell and stale food really let me down. As a paying customer, I expect a certain standard of quality and taste. Mutton Dum Biryani - Too Good

This was my go-to place for Indian food since they opened last November. I ve ordered from them on multiple occasions, and the food has been amazing. However, since the last 3-4 orders, the quality has declined, and consistency has taken a hit. Sadly, another great restaurant is joining the group of mediocre restaurants in Milton.

I am a huge fan of Biryaniwalla in Downtown and Scarborough locations. I tasted the biryani at Milton location and was disappointed with the taste. We got the Egg biryani and Chicken Biryani. The chicken was extremely dry, it felt like the chicken was in the fridge from last night and was just heated up before order. Biryaniwalla has a great reputation and infact we thank you for bringing the taste of Telangana and Andhra to GTA. Please maintain the standards and taste. Cheers

Not a good biryani at all

I guess I got a tad delayed in visiting....its been a while that they opened shop in #Milton. I ordered #Looseprawns for starter and #MuttonDumBiryani. Both exceeded my expectations presentation wise and taste wise. They have a lovely assortment of Biryanis from across #India. Its a lovely place, I shall visit again, soon.

Their Hyderabadi chicken biryani was outstanding, it was delicious !!! They also had a buy one get one free deal which I was happy about as well. This place is highly recommended if you are a true biryani lover.

We were a group of 3 people went for dine-in around 8:45 or 9 pm. We wanted to try the mutton biryani but they said it was sold out so we opted in for Chicken dum biryani. They suggested the bucket for 3 people. The food taste was mediocre, there were only 4 pieces of chicken in the bucket when they charged close to $30. This was a rip-off. The taste was ok. There was a large music blasting in the cook room and someone singing loudly when we were having dinner. So was an unpleasant experience overall. Will not be returning again.

As a food enthusiast, my friends and I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance and were impressed by both the atmosphere and the delicious food. The vegetable kofta biryani and cholle bhatura were particularly outstanding. However, as we began to explore other menu options, we noticed a decline in the quality of the food. This was especially evident when we ordered the same dishes for a special occasion yesterday; the biryani and cholle were disappointingly spicy and not cooked to the usual standard. Additionally, there were instances where the koftas were undercooked. In summary, while the restaurant was excellent a month ago, it now appears that they may have become complacent and overly confident in their culinary skills. We ordered Spicy kadhai veg biryani which was more like fried rice and was not spicy at all. Earlier we ordered same biryani a month ago and it was very good and we were expecting the same quality. Also, this time it had very minimal paneer pieces so it was degradation in terms of both quality and taste.

We ordered paneer biryani and it was good but we also ordered paneer dynamite and it was foul, the paneer was bad in taste and felt like it was few days old.

Fantastic food and friendly staff who were knowledgeable about their product and able to make excellent recommendations. The Gobi Manchurian and Cashew Paneer is a must try.

Worst biryani . I ordered veg kofta biryani and i am sooooo upset with kofta, i am not able to even cut it with the spoon, i didn t know how stale is the veg kofta even. Worssssttttt, i never had to leave such bad feedback.

I am a big fan of vegetable briyani and try all possible options. Briyaniwalla was my bucket and when we ordered our first briyani it was just a rice over mixed vegetable. We mixed the briyani ourselves. The reason could be because I ate only briyani which were already mixed. The taste was okay.

Had mutton briyani last week . Food was bit spicy . Quantity was not bad in bucket order. Staff was supportive when I called back will try again their famous Dum Briyani .

Yummy and amazing biryani, I tried Hyderadi Mutton Biryani and found it delicious though a bit spicy. It s value for money. I would go again and try other options as well. There is also a decent sitting arrangement and free parking in front of the place. Excellent customer services.

Ordered schezwan egg fried rice and regular veg fried rice through Uber Eats. Both looked and tasted the same, even though one was supposed to be schezwan fried rice and the other a regular fried rice. We could not get a taste of schezwan sauce in the egg fried rice and the quantity of egg was disappointing. Overall, not worth the money. Probably a good place for biriyani, but not for fried rice.

It s just a month that biryaniwalla opened in Milton and now we see some of the drastic changes in the quality of food. Biryaniwalla s usp is biryani and I don t think they are serious about it. Chole nature was at 7$ which is not available anymore and in biryani, every biryani taste the same. And the spice level is extremely high which hide the taste which they are trying to serve. Come on guys buckle up if you increase the price people will still come to you specially me but don t compromise with the taste

Vegetarian options: The kadai pneer and malai kofta is best which I taste here. Thats awesome and delicious Food

The food was delicious. Went out to lunch with work colleagues on my recommendation because I had bought takeout biriyani from them before and I loved it. My work colleagues too were very impressed with the food. We ordered 5 different dishes including two kinds of Biriyani and naan. The taste was awesome. Would recommend this place hands down!! Oh and we also had chai after our meal. It had the perfect blend of spices, milk and sugar! Well done Biriyaniwala!!! Pls keep up the good work!! Will definitely be back!

Gobi Manchurian and chicken dum biryani tasted good.

I have been a long-time patron of Biryaniwalla, even before it opened in Milton. Mississauga was the nearest joint and I always came out satisfied and enjoyed their food. I was thrilled when they opened in Milton and immediately took up to it. However, my last experience was different. We ordered for a party of 5 people and had a very embarrassing experience. Though the biryani was tasty, the mutton was almost missing. I hope they read and listen to this feedback in the right spirit. Despite this experience, I still rate Biryaniwalla high and would like to see them prosper.

We are biryani fanatics and we have tried a few restaurants with biryani in Milton and came for takeout twice from Biryani Walla and concluded that this is the best biryani in town - for us at least. First, their service was amazing. Their variety of biryani was very wide and so we needed extra clarification on each dish. They spent time explaining the differences and gave us recommendations after us describing what we usually got from other restaurants. Their recommendations were on point! Secondly, having said that, they have a very wide variety of biryani to choose from along with other dishes. Thirdly, this is a very important point for us - their biryani and other dishes are always fresh and hot coming out from the kitchen. We never have to reheat it when we get home, which we always had to when getting takeout from other restaurants (driving distance from other restaurants to get home are similar). Always appreciate when food is hot and fresh and you can, especially when you are all hungry thinking about their biryani. Finally, is the quality of the food and the value you pay for it - amazing! Best we love were their Channa Masala, Mix Veg Korma, Shahi Ghosht Biryani, plus the garlic naan - those were the only dishes we had tried and we loved them all. We highly recommend!

Its authentic Hyderabadi style biryani. Not too spicy and right amount of protein (chicken) in it. Its different than Sindhi Biryani but has its own taste.

My family tried for first time on Jan 14. Ordered mutton biryani, butter chicken and nan. Very very delicious!! Was not oily. Well balanced spices. Even my 12 yr old daughter gave a big thumbs up. Compared to other places in Milton, this is now our favorite. Friendly service.

A cold vegetable raita is all time classic. It always work to clear down your craving for more biryani. I go for it!
