Average Italian food. I ordered the chicken Parmesan. The tomato sauce had barely any flavour, the penne was tasteless and the vegetables were plain as well. The actual chicken itself was breaded and cooked decently, but overall just tasted average. I wouldn’t come back.
Casa Americo, you really outdid yourselves! We celebrated my husband’s birthday here on a Monday night, and I was pleasantly surprised at how busy it was for a weeknight. We didn’t make reservations but were lucky enough to be seated right away with our group of six, including two little ones under four. The service was fantastic! The staff was super friendly and offered some great appetizer recommendations. We absolutely loved the grilled squid with bread for dipping – such a delightful treat! The kids’ portions were impressively large, and I won’t lie, we were thrilled to have some tasty leftovers for the next day. Everything we tried was delicious, and the decor is beautiful, perfect for capturing family photos. Overall, it was a lovely night out, and we can’t wait to return!
We were initially greeted by a personable server. Then the owner came over to introduce himself and take our drink order and made himself available the whole time. Everyone there was amazing and so friendly. The owners wife gave us the bill and chatted a while. It was also nice to see the servers and owners get along in such a team friendly manner. It felt comfortable and welcoming. I would definitely return again! Thank you for a wonderful dining experience.
Here on business and back to Casa Americo again.. My work partner and I are from the US and love the fact the owner not only recognized us, but remembered where we sat 2 years ago in his restaurant. Met a friend for lunch and decided to try out this lovely restaurant. Was hoping to sit outside on the patio but unfortunately it was closed for the season and they were updating the outside facade of the building. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the owner is a pleasure to deal with. Enjoyed the appetizers and the Antipasto Piatto was delicious with their homemade Italian dressing. Unfortunately we didn’t eat any pasta dishes but would go back and try a dinner dish as it all looks amazing. There is a huge parking lot just on the side of the building which is easily accessible from the main road.
Had a nice anniversary dinner here, service was excellent and friendly. Restaurant was very clean. We decided on 3 main, mainly based on the pricing of the starters and wanting to try a pasta. The osso buco was great and perfectly cooked. The mash was fairly good. The 4 cheese ravioli were tasty but a little shy on the filling, though there were a substantial amount. The special this week was parmesan crusted halibut. It was tasty but quite overcooked which was unfortunate. There could have been a bit more sauce as well. The chive risotto served alongside was great.
We got the lamb shank and mushroom risotto. Delicious. Service was very nice, the owner was also super friendly- we had a nice chat with him!
My family and I used to come to this restaurant all the time and only stopped once my grandma moved away. I was pretty little and still remember the amazing customer service and delicious food. As soon as me and my grandma walked in the owner instantly recognized us after all these years along with many details like going across the street to get me ice cream just out of the kindness of his heart. Not only was the customer service the same, the food was somehow even more delicious. We shared a caeser salad and some bread. Our meals came fast and VERY fresh. The portions are very generous and well worth the price (keep in mind the prices are already well reasonable). My grandma got the Rigatoni Jambalaya and I got the Penne Alla Vodka. Both were so delicious we could not stop raving about it. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone. We will be back!

My daughter and I decided to stop somewhere to eat and are so happy we chose to come to this restaurant. As soon as we walked in I noticed the elegant atmosphere and really liked the vibe. The dishes, napkins and glassware are such nice touches. We loved the bruschetta, it was perfect. Just the way we like it. Crunchy, cheesy and with just the right amount of tomatoes. She had the gnocchi and I have the risotto. She loved the sauce so much that she was soaking it up with the bread. My risotto was cooked to perfection. The owner was super nice and I recommend you come to the restaurant for a meal. You won t regret it.

Last minute find for us as we were in the neighborhood. It was very busy with reservations but they accommodated us. The food was fantastic. Every appetizer and main looked beautiful and tasted even better. The staff was all very welcoming and attentive. Will definitely come back again.
I am continually shocked at the high ratings. The owners are lovely but the food is not authentic Italian. I know because I am 100% Italian and grew up with authentic food.

When I arrived, the owner seemed confused about my reservation, even though the restaurant was empty and there was a reservation sign on the table we were seated at. The service was slow at first, as no one came to check if I needed anything while I waited for the rest of my party. While the staff was polite during the meal, the end of the evening felt rushed and uncomfortable. With an hour left before closing, the lights started dimming, the music was turned off, and we were eventually told the restaurant was closing. I understand it may have been a slow night, but the way it was handled came across as rude and dismissive.
I went there last November and then again yesterday. The owner is always hoovering but not friendly, just awkward. Both times the service wasn t great. This time was even worse than the last. We chose this location because it was open late. Over an hour before close (had been there under 2hrs), they brought take out containers (I guess they wanted us to pack up), our bills, started to dim the lights, turn off the music and then said we re closing early because it s a quiet night and that s what we normally do. Would have been nice to be notified instead of being passive aggressive. Tilapia was ok, everything was doused in butter. I still ate it. The reservation system showed they were fully booked at 6:30pm so we booked for 7pm. There was only one other table occupied. Won t be back.

We celebrated a confirmation for over 20 people at Casa Americo. The food was fantastic, but what was even better was the service! The staff was very accommodating and extremely friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant.
The lamb shank was perfectly cooked and the flavor did not disappoint. A little pricey for the portion sizes of secondi, but no complaints about the quality of food and service. Others had penne pomodoro, mushroom risotto, rigatoni jambalaya & penne chicken supreme. All were satisfied.

I came here for the first time with a group of 5 and the servers were professional. Food was great, I ordered the chicken supreme and it was very good. All the food was served timely and we felt really taken care of. They were able to accommodate for a couple gluten allergies as well. Would highly recommend for all.

We ve been coming here for years. Hands down best food and atmosphere. The owner is so passionate and attentive, always nice to see his smiling face. No shortage of staff so the service is always top notch. Recently I finally gave the Halibut special a try and I have to say it may be my new favourite. The penne chicken supreme and bruschetta are our other favourites. So happy this place has done so well and has lasted the test of time. A staple of quaint downtown Milton.

A very disappointing experience; the meal itself was decent but when it came time for the cappuccinos to arrive mine was entirely spilled on my bare arm and clothing. In an effort to avoid hot coffee raining down on me I lunged backwards and a plate was broken at the empty table behind me as it landed on the floor. When the bill arrived it was granted I didn t need to pay for the cappuccino and the manager bypassed the tip option. It was also noted to me at that moment that I broke a 25.00 plate trying to avoid being burned by the coffee which I feel was not my fault nor did it require a mention. There was no offer to pay to clean my clothes nor my meal which would have been appreciated even if not required. I am grateful no children were at the table to receive a burn with more tender skin. I believe it may have been in their interest to offer to cover my bill, and not focus on blaming the patron for a broken plate. Will not return nor likely will my friends, not good service or management policies.

Mushroom risotto was amazing !!!
I went with a large group last night. We were greeted at the door with a warm smile. Service was quick, friendly and helpful with menu options and specials. Appetizers were out quickly and DELICIOUS! The Bruschetta was so good!! The main came out quickly but perfectly timed with our appetizers. All in all, a very good restaurant with excellent service. Whoever is running this place is doing an amazing job. I will definitely go back when Im in Milton. Thanks!!
Casa Americano has become my favourite upscale restaurant. The owner is a kind man with a good eye for decor and art. The ambience is refined but still relaxing. There must be a magician in the kitchen because everything Ive had there is culinary magic. The service is attentive without being overbearing. Extensive menu offered. More expensive than an Easy Side Marios but hey, that would not be a fair comparison and though its a little more $ it is worth it. A nice wine list for those who enjoy vino. I highly recommend. You will not be disappointed.

My friend and I went here for dinner this evening. It s on the Main Street in Milton and a parking lot is close by. We started with garlic bread with cheese which was tasty. I had the rigatoni with chicken and shrimp which was excellent and very filling. My friend had the capellini and said it was delish. We had tiramisu and cheesecake. We also had Sapporo beer and coffee. Their coffee is very good so we had two cups. Service was good only little complaint is if the music could be a bit louder so we could hear it as it was lovely background music. The patio is small and quaint.

I wish I could give zero star if I can. We had the most horrible and unpleasant experience at this place for lunch on Oct 5,2024. Receipt attached for proof. When we called restaurant asking to see if there is free parking. The owner aka the Indian guy with glasses said you should read signs along street and figure out yourself. I don t know where you can park. I don t live here. I was like wow that s not very nice. But it s okay. We could figure it out as he said. I had a quick thought in my head , hmm shall I give someone business if he is not that nice? but we just finished visiting halton railway museum and it s was almost 3 pm. and we were all hungry. We ordered lamb shank ($36), seafood risotto ($38) and kids meat ball pasta ($16). The food looked delicious and owner came to ask if food was okay. At that moment I had not tried mussel in the risotto. And we liked lamb shank. So, I said food were delicious. But when I tried mussel, it was bad and not fresh. It tasted like washroom. So we called waitress and told her the mussel was bad. She went to talk to the Indian owner and after that nothing happened. The Indian owner didn t even come to check with us and he just sat at the corner watching us. We lost patience and called the waitress again and asked her if they were going to do something. The Indian guy finally came. I told him the mussel was not good and not fresh. He said but the risotto is okay and you can eat it right? This was the moment he turned on the ANGRY button on me. OMG, so I raised my voice and asked him you want me to finish the risotto which has the seafood I am not sure if it s safe for me to eat anymore? He said to me, I guarantee you that our mussel was cooked by white wine and it s safe to eat. WOW because they were cooked by alcohol so that it s now safe to eat even they were rotten?! He then accused me by saying that he saw me continued eating the risotto. Pardon me? My hubby was sharing the mashed potato with me and put some on my plate. So,the whole time you were sitting there and watching us was to see if I continued eating the risotto instead of coming to us to solve the rotten food issue? He pointed out that I were saying food were okay how come now I said it was not okay. I have told him with my voice raised that because I hadn t tried mussel when he asked me. In total, I had 3 bites and put some risotto on a small plate for my baby to try and also gave some to my hubby to try. He kept asking me to lower my voice and calm down and treating him like a human. And to give him respects. Excuse me, sorry I couldn t. I could no longer stay calm at the moment he asked me to continue finishing the risotto. If I were not treated like a human. It wouldn t be fair for me to treating someone genuinely who are asking me to endanger my health and possibly ending up in emergency room. And I couldn t calm down when I was accused for his own ridiculous suspicions. Basically, the Indian owner accused me for wanting to have free meal. We were 3 adults and a baby. If I wanted to have free meal, why wouldn t I have ordered 3 main courses instead of 2?I have to admit that I made a bad decision to eat Italian seafood dish in an Indian person owned restaurant and I should have trusted my gut feeling when he asked me to look for the parking signs on the phone.In the end, I insisted that I did not want to eat anything from his restaurant and he took the seafood risotto off from my bill. We still paid for tips since the waiter and waitress are nice. Now I regret I did so. I should have insisted to pay for the rotten mussel risotto because my 23 month old baby had diarrhea when we arrived our Toronto home. My baby had 2 table spoon of this risotto. We are big fan of seafood. We have ordered mussel dish in other Italian sea food place. Mussel is a quite common dish to have when we eat out. If you don t want to torture yourself and have a bad day and if you have young kids. Please avoid going to this horrible place.

The meal was amazing. I had Osso Buco D Angnello lamb shank and it was so delicious. The meat was tender and slid off of the bone. The service was great and I would return.

We have been to this restaurant and it is a very good restaurant.
This is my, and my wife s favourite restaurant in Milton. Casa Americo is our celebration restaurant (any time we have good news to celebrate, or when we are taking friends and family out, this is where we go. We even had dinner here with both sets of parents the night before our wedding). The food is of course fantastic. We have had most of everything on the menu, but we keep coming back to the veal/chicken parm. So good. Key appetizers are the crab cakes (when available) and the bruschetta. We had dinner with friends there tonight, and my buddy said, This is the best bruschetta I have ever had. I agree. It is fantastic. The food quality is always superb (this is one of the only restaurants where I look forward to eating my veggie sides). The atmosphere is nice (the porch is great in the summer) and one of the best parts (aside from the food) is the owner. We always enjoy chatting with him when we eat at Casa Americo. You can tell he takes great pride and joy in his restaurant. Downtown Milton definitely has a winner and a jewel with Casa Americo!

Great place to visit! Hosting and food are equally great! Very warm serving staff. Can do better by adding fresh flowers and plants for fresh vibes Vegetarian options: Great vegetarian options like different pastas, soups, salads, panini (grilled veg panini is excellent here), mushroom risotto is really good! Parking: Weekends can be difficult to find parking. Weekdays are great!

This is such a beautiful piece The food was amazing. The staff was absolutely incredible. The ower is a husband and wife and I m sorry I forgot their names. But they were so friendly and walking around checking in on everyone. The three of us sat down with entirely different dishes, but all had the shared feeling of how bland everything was. When Angel hair spaghetti comes out as mush and the seafood tastes like a mixed frozen bag of seafood - it s disappointing. The service was spotty at best and the bill hugely expensive for how underwhelming everything was. I used to like this place a lot, I don t anymore.

Right when we walked in I almost fell on the slippy floor, it was wet from people walking in with snow and there was no mat so it made it very dangerous. Kind of small in side and are table was infront of the door so every time someone came in we got a cold breeze, i did like the roses on the table did make it feel more fancy, but we had a weird view of the back of the restaurant with stairs that looked like went to an apartment upstairs a large group of people walked threw the restaurant and went up there and hadnt came back down by time we left, looked a bit crowded and i felt like if we needed something no one was there to help us untill they came to the table or walking to another table which wasnt that often, the wait for appetizer was about 15 mins and 35 mins for the main dish. Not very many alcoholic beverages that I liked so I got iced tea. I didnt get dessert because i was full from my dinner they had a pumpkin cheese cake as a special. They have many seafood options i personally dont like seafood so i got the penne all vodka and it was really good i just recommend stirring the pasta before eating so the sauce is not all at the bottom and if i had a choice id put less red onion in the sauce but i was pleased to see fresh ingredients for a decent price i will definitely give them another try. Also parking is not bad just up the street theres a free parking lot! Update: I came here with my bf family and they seemed to mostly enjoy it other then the fact that they gave them dirty beer at first and clean the pipes and then the beer was much better, I got the penne alla vodka and it didn t taste the same as it did when I came the previous year which was a bit disappointing as this time I left with my stomach hurting! I m sad to say I don t think I ll be returning but I d say give them a try !! The bruschetta is really good id recommended that.

The butternut squash soup was excellent. The wine was excellent. The ribeye steak was thin and fatty. The parmesan mashed potatoes were not flavourful and had large solid pieces of potatoes in the dish. The creme Brule was like a whipped mousse (thick) and flavored like a smell of a harvest pumpkin candle not like a creamy egg custard? Odd.

The feature crab salad does not specify imitation crab meat is used instead of real crab meat, disappointed to say the least. Just state it. Had I known prior I would not have ordered it. Server s reply was irrelevant to me pointing it out. Definitely won t be back to risk finding out what else isn t as stated.

We tried the Chicken parmesan supreme and Rigatoni jambalaya. Both were really good with authentic Italian taste. Ending the meal with a wonderful Tiramisu which was incredible and melted in the mouth.
Great lunch. Two of our party have gluten intolerance and they have a separate gluten free menu. Dietary restrictions: Fantastic separate gluten free menu. No dedicated frier but staff are knowledgeable about cross contamination.

Great tasty food but after dinner, we both ordered decaf cappuccinos and I asked at least 3 times if they were decaf (especially since we had a pregnant person in our group) and the server insisted they were decaf. They weren t. That was disappointing

Enjoyed a very late lunch on the patio. We both enjoyed our meals very much in the relaxed atmosphere. I have celiac and I have eaten off their GF menu 2x now without issue. Even enjoyed a creme brûlée for dessert. Will be back and recommend it. Dietary restrictions: Great experience as a celiac with their GF offerings
Okay restaurant with okay service and underwhelming food. Not authentic Italian food. Husband and I had the summerilicious special with brushetta, pasta, salmon and cheesecake. The cheesecake tasted like it was from the grocery store. The pasta was too oily with too many flavours going on, salmon tasted like it only had mustard for flavoring. We only saw waiter twice - when he took our order and for the bill.

First time going. Had a great time very nice staff and delicious food, will go back.
Decent food, the crispy food is good, the rest is more meh. Expensive for what it is. Server pacing was all over the place, bread was not good/fresh. Veggies were too plain just steamed.
