My family member Had called previously about a high chair request the day before for their kid and had been sent away from their ability to eat here because of lack of responsibility to accommodate the request

The service is friendly, and the atmosphere is welcoming, making it a great spot to enjoy a meal with friends or family. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy delicious food that never disappoints!

Nice Italian bread is now replaced with burger buns. There used to be nice waitresses, they were replaced with wait staff who have no idea what customer service should be like (I guess this one s cheaper to keep) . Marko (owner or co owner?) was very rude. More tables than it used to be. Place feels like a zoo now and it used to be a nice little gem. Greedy and obnoxious, read negative reviews on Google and Trip Advisor , sadly they are true.

Nice authentic food, great specials, reasonable prices

The food was fantastic, the service was top notch, and the owner/manager who served us personally made sure to chat with us and was a made it a very nice experience for our celebration dinner.

These guys are hands down one of the best in the Halton region. The owners take very good care of the guests, love going there everytime in town. You just need to reserve during weekends and at times weekdays too as they only serve dinner timings Food

Amazing food but very small restaurant which is very unfortunate. Tried to get reservations tonight doe my and my girlfriends one year as it was the first restaurant i took her too. I was greeted on the phone by a very unfriendly hostess that informed me I will not be able to come for 6 this was no problem but wasnt given any other options and not said in the friendliest way I asked if I could come earlier or later and they said 5 oclock.... it was already 430 sad to say I didnt get to visit and this experience left a bad taste in my mouth Had to update this after a year we went back and have been blown away amazing service food is impeccable I would definitely recommend things have turned around by the looks of it !

Went for a ladies night out dinner with some friends the other night and will likely never return. I ll begin by saying that my Sea Bass meal was quite delicious and perfectly cooked. No complaints there. It was a very busy night and the staff was over worked, but we enjoyed our wine and the quaint cozy atmosphere while we waited for our meals. Again, no complaints there. My complaint is with Frank (owner) and his customer service, or lack thereof. A friend ordered the chicken Alfredo pasta and the chicken was still slightly frozen and the pasta very hard (beyond Al Dente). When she told our server the issue with her meal, the server took the food back to the kitchen and moments later Frank came to our table in a highly defensive attacking manner claiming the food was perfectly cooked and accusing our friend of trying to get a free meal. He even asked her what do you want me to do now, keep cooking it or make a new dish? in a rude condensing tone while he shrugged his shoulders and shook his head at her like she was a toddler who just threw something at the wall. The cherry on top of this all, he walked away mumbling something in Italian not realizing one of us was Italian and understood every word he said. He said disgusting face and attitude . Needless to say, I don t care how good the food is here, I won t support this kind of behaviour in any form. Arrivederci!

Fresh made pasta daily ? Hard to believe. But this may have been the closest I ve seen to it. I felt sceptical.. but I was nice, ish.. Muscles especially tasted very bad .. I wouldn t even dip my bread ( which was warmed, not fresh, just bought at another store and warmed perhaps) The muscles may have been fresh but I doubt it base on my experience but I can honestly say I ve never experienced this taste before in a good way. Everything told me it was not fresh and I would not even try it after two times the lobster stuffed ravioli canned at best. Not so very nice. Sorry friends, won t be back.

La Locanda is my family s favourite restaurant in Milton and beyond. Marco, John Frank and their friendly staff alway provide exceptional service and delicious food at a reasonable price.

Great, intimate place with great food.

This restaurant has been our go to place for date night because the food is always amazing! We ate there over the long weekend and I was a bit disappointed with the service. The servers were obviously overwhelmed with the number of customers and did not provide the level of service we have come to expect. We will continue dining here and I hope this was just an unusual situation.

This is our favorite restaurant. The food is delicious, classic and amazing quality. The prices are so reasonable. The atmosphere is lovely and intimate. My only criticism is the staff make you feel rushed to eat and leave when you want to take your time and enjoy the food and wine

Made a reservation for our 17th anniversary. We arrived on time and were told it would be another 15-20 mins before we were seated. Once seated we ordered two apps fried calamari and another both were under whelming. We moved on to our mains. My wife had veal parm I had 14oz rib steak and mushrooms special. My steak steak was cooked perfectly there was just absolutely no flavor my wifes veal was over cooked and tough. The funny thing is her veal parm contained no parm lol. The manager and assuming owner was super nice. The place was nice the food was horrible though. Dont be afraid of some spices even salt and pepper would be nice.

I wanted to like this place.. My husband and I made reservations to celebrate our anniversary we showed up on time but due to large parties we had to wait - no problem we waited. Once we were seated inside we were at the worst possible table near the bar and empty dirty glasses and stressed out servers requesting drink orders, there was also something spilled under the table that made my shoes slippery Im guessing it was oil? We ordered sparkling water and then our waitress came back to take drink orders, appetizers, entrees all in one shot.. okay no problem. We received a bread basket and our appetizers which left 0 room on our tiny table but we tried to enjoy the very over cooked calamari and prosciutto burrata crudo (2 pieces of prosciutto and one ball of burrata on lettuce) it was very underwhelming. Our entrees arrived before all the appetizer plates and bread basket had been cleared so those were removed as we received our entrees. My husbands steak was cooked to perfection but unfortunately tasted like nothing, my veal was extremely tough and not very flavourful, I was also surprised i was not offered fresh parmesan for the veal, the server offered pepper but no parmesan. We ended with Tiramisu it was basically thrown at us and again it lacked flavour and was very bland. Our server was extremely rushed and trying her best but the dining experience was terrible and the food was not good, the owner (manager) seems really nice but unfortunately our dining experience wasnt great and we will probably not come back.

Absolutely LOVED it here! We live in Milton and came by for a birthday bite for my fiances birthday. The food was exceptional, the service was friendly and felt like I was visiting a familys house for dinner. Loved it. Beautiful space, and a well run kitchen. We ordered the seafood spaghetti, calamari, and mussels. 10/10. Well be back!!!

We ordered two meals, and two appetizers. We had them bring them all at the same time. We tried to figure out what was the best dish, and we honestly couldnt. They were all excellent! We came to the conclusion accidentally that a mix of the Alfredo sauce from the gnocchi, mixed with the rigatoni alla Locanda sauce & the wine sauce from the calamari was unbelievably tasty. We also had a small amount of their house hot pepper oil mixed in there as well. We finished off sharing a creme Brule, which was for sure in the top two either of us have ever had! I dont think youll be disappointed with any choice here! We cant wait to go back, and try out some other dishes. An attentive owner, and top notch staff made for a fantastic date night! Parking: Free Municipal parking lot just up the street on the opposite side of the road.

Best restaurant and service in Milton!

Unfortunately I didnt take photos because I was with my toddler. BUT we all had a wonderful experience. The prices and the portions were perfect and the staff was wonderful. Will absolutely come back. I had the vodka penne, wife had the gnocchi. Loved it. Mainly went there for the cheese ball to get the experience. They did not do it like the videos I saw they put the pasta in and stirred it around and scraped up some cheese and called it a day. The owner was rude to the girl working there telling her to put people on the other side of the restaurant and she shouldn t have seated us there. The food was ok not the best I have had. The restaurant is nice but the owner should treat his staff nicer.

The best Italian food in Milton. The house special is rigatoni and red sauce mixed in a large cheese wheel that is fantastic. Only thing missing is pizza but for fine Italian food in Milton, it cannot be beat!

We ordered the lamb chops that were still barely defrosted when they got served to us. When we complained to the waiter that it tasted frozen, he took it back. But minutes later, the manager came out with a raw piece of the lamb chop trying to prove the food was fresh and screaming at us for saying the food tasted frozen. He tried to flip it on us saying we ate the food and wanted to send it back to save money. Will never come back here. Save your money and go to Fortinos if you want frozen food

Over priced, sad food, overcrowded.

Vegetarian options: I know there were veggies on the menu. Were not vegetarian, so didnt really pay attention. But they are very accommodating Kid-friendliness: We had 3 adults and 3 kids with us. Owner came to the table to speak to all of us, including the kids. Very friendly and welcoming.

This is a fine Italian restaurant with great tasting food. Quite enjoyed ourselves. Back again last night and had the spaghetti and ceasar salad. Food here is unbelievably good.

This was our first time dining at Locanda and we were thoroughly impressed! I had the roasted red pepper soup and Penne alla Vodka and they were both delicious! My husband had the 12 oz striploin and the Mista Salad (which was beautifully presented) and loved both. His food was so good that by the end of the meal he looked at his Crown and Coke and realized he hadnt touched it . We both finished off our meals with a perfect creme brulee! My only criticisms were that my soup was too hot... which sounds silly, but when you have to blow on EVERY bite, it gets a little frustrating - normally after the first few bites, a bowl of soup starts to cool down enough to eat, but this wasnt the case. It was still delicious though! The other criticism I have is that the service was a little off putting... it was Valentines day, so maybe our server was just extra busy. But it was a strange, not very personable interaction. But will definitely be dining there again!

Cozy place full of life and great staff. My wife had the seafood pasta (red sauce) and loved it. I tried the cheese wheel pasta but the pasta themselves were cooked a bit too « al dente » for my taste. They took it back and I believe they baked it to cook it a bit more. The taste however was good.

Very nice place in the middle of Milton. Great Italian food. Atmosphere was nice and the food delish.

I am a local business owner and have been going to Laconda since it opened. My wife and I supported them through covid and even have told others to support. Marco the owner/manager is extremely rude and doesn t have time for anything as he s running around like a maniac most of the time. My wife called to order take out the other night and ordered two pastas and a side salad. Upon arriving to pick up our meal, Marco handed my wife two pastas and 5 salads. My wife stated we ordered a side salad and Marco got very angry by this and told her you said 5 salad! To which she replied no, I said side. She even apologized for any miscommunication but Marco did not acknowledge her and was extremely rude. We will never support a business like this again and it should be known by the many comments on here about how rude Marco is.

Most recent visit didn t have a great experience. Food was not like the first time I visit, very bland not much flavour. Service was lacking. First visit, Small cosy restaurant, went with my husband on a Tuesday night and it wasn t busy. Ordered 2 pasta dishes, they were not bad but lacking a little bit of flavour to my taste, the dishes were very simple. Service was excellent.

This is a great spot for amazing Italian food. Small place so the servers were always around. Portions were good so you were not leaving feeling sick. Prices were more than reasonable considering the current price of food. If youre in the area and want a good Italian dinner, highly recommend.

We just had dinner at Locanda for our 2nd time tonight and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was delicious and so were our beer and wine choices. Marco was very gracious and the service was great. Our go to restaurant in Milton.

Came here with the intentions to get the rigatoni mixed in the cheese wheel which I did not get and when the pasta came out on a plate with no cheese wheel show it was very undercooked almost had a crunch to it and when I brought it up to who I assume was the owner he said that s how fresh pasta is supposed to be, to my knowledge fresh pasta is usually softer than dry pasta. Only reason this has 2 stars is because the waiter I had was great, employees here seemed great but the owner is pretty rude and for him to tell me fresh pasta is supposed to be crunchy

Weve eaten here many times and were truly satisfied. Today however the restaurant over booked their dinner seating. We had a reservation as well 4 other tables at the same time. While we were waiting another couple arrived with a reservation for half an hour after us. They were seated ahead of us and the owner lied straight to our faces, even though we had a conversation with the couple. Is the food good yes, but I can not tolerate an owner that would lie to my face. I will not be back.

We went out to celebrate a special birthday. The service is classy, Marco and his staff provided outstanding and very personalize service. The restaurant has a family oriented atmosphere. The food is authentic and delicious. I highly recommend Locanda!

Went for dinner with a party of six to celebrate Nona s 78th birthday. Food was outstanding from the get-go. Evening began with warm, homemade rolls and balsamic vinegar and olive oil for dipping. We then ordered the shrimp, calamari, and the bruschetta. Everything was excellent. Choices for entrées included the seafood pasta, chicken, parmigiana,spaghetti aglio olio, gnocchi, and the rigatoni mixed in the massive parmigiana wheel, outstanding! The level of service was impeccable with four different servers coming by to ensure that everyone our table had everything they needed. The owner paid attention to details, and we only in passing mentioned that it was Nona s birthday, but that was enough for him to take the initiative and bring out a birthday dessert for Nona, with the entire restaurant clapping and singing happy birthday in Italian!! What a great experience for Nona. The tiramisu and the Americano coffees followed and were in keeping with the level of quality foods that we experienced in the two previous courses. Will definitely go back over and over. We left a very healthy tip, as all the staff was exceptional. Parking: Located at the rear of the restaurant. It s limited capacity isn t a huge concern, as there is ample street parking.

Locanda is one of our most favourite restaurants. Marco, the owner, is personable and always suggests a perfect wine for us. We are never disappointed.

We made a reservation but the restaurant didnt seem to have any space, but in the fifteen minutes we were waiting, the fairly substantial smoke in the restaurant really started to bother me and we decided to leave. Its a shame since their food looked good and the ratings seemed good, but they definitely need an air purifier or something in there since it was pretty visibly smoky.

Not one of my favorite visits. Food was lacking flavour and service was lacking attention. Didnt even have to opportunity to express my concerns about my food because I wasnt even asked.

This place is simply amazing!! The food was ridiculously good. We had the lamb, penne al la vodka, spaghetti meatballs, buratta prosciutto and tiramisu. All was homemade and delicious. The owner was fabulous and service was impeccable. It is worth the drive to Milton!

Chose this place as a little outing for myself and 2 other moms. We had reservations for 6pm. We ordered entrees, some wine, desserts and a tea to finish off the evening. We were having a lovely time. However, the servers were hovering a lot. They asked to bring the bill before we started drinking the tea. We advised we were going to finish tea. They ended up just bringing the bills anyhow. We paid and we were just chatting finishing our tea when the owner came and said he needs the table. We were awestruck. He literally asked us to leave. Unapologetically. Never in my life have I been asked to leave a restaurant. He literally wanted to herd people in and herd them out. Zero customer service. He was 100% concerned about cash flow in. I will never be going back to this restaurant again.

Came from Toronto to check out this place based on a friends recommendation. While it was good, it wasn t good enough that we d return. Food was average. Got the shrimp pasta and steak.

I just searched Google and decided to come based on google review and ranking. The food, quality were really good with fair price. And other people s reviews were true: service was just ok. The restaurant was busy but not full yet, just felt it seemed all staff were very busy. The environment is ok, a little small restaurant though. I might come back, but would try some other similar restaurants nearby as a comparison.

Small but atmospheric restaurant. Great food!

Food was great but the owner really needs to learn how to back away and let people enjoy their meals. It s not fun to eat dinner with them standing 5 feet away from you staring at your back. I get that the place is small and probably some of the appeal is that the owner is friendly and treats you like family but there s a limit to where it just becomes awkward. We felt we couldn t even have a proper discussion because it was like someone was spying on you. We also didn t know there were specials until after we ordered and overheard another table being read them by another server (whilst we were served by the owner). Some other minor things like not refilling drinks or offering until requested, which is odd considering how closely we watches the diners (keeping in mind there were only two tables other than ours and it was empty for quite a while)

Amazing. Food, service and vibe. Gives you that small intimate downtown Toronto feel. The food was delicious. Like, enough to convert Locanda into one of our favourites. Youll have a great time!

Regrettably I had dinner at Locanda and I have never experienced a more awful encounter. If there was an option to rate this restaurant in the negative I would be giving this restaurant less than a zero. For starters the food was not memorable but this review is not about the food, although it could be, it is actually about the customer treatment. From the very beginning of the night we felt very rushed for our party of three. Our reservations started at 6 pm and by 8 pm we were personally asked by the owner to leave. You heard me right! He walked up to our table and asked us to leave. The experience prior to being asked to leave was no better and consisted of the following very pointed reminders. Before dinner was even finished (my fork didn t even make it to the plate) we were asked if we were done eating and if dinner could be taken away, we were then asked very promptly if we were interested in dessert, to which we ordered dessert along with tea. As the tea arrived we were asked if we would like the bill. We kindly indicated we would have like to first have our tea and within five minutes after that the bill arrived (that no one asked for). We paid for the bill (regrettably with a healthy tip) and by 8 pm (2 hours after being seated) with not one person visible waiting for seats we were confronted by the owner at our table who asked us to leave. Do yourself a favour and put your money towards other wonderful businesses that will appreciate your support like Casa Americano, Pasquilinos, La Toscana just to name a few. You ll get good service, authentic food and a bathroom that doesn t feel like a meat freezer.

Best Italian restaurant in Milton! The food and customer service is amazing and some of the best pasta I ve ever eaten. The prices are also fair and not like some of the other restaurants in Milton. Can t wait to go back and enjoy some pasta on their patio!

Great value and good food. Doesn t try to be bigger or fancier than it is. Addition of the front patio really boosted things for warm weather dining.

The food here is amazing. Celebrated my birthday dinner with their famous chicken parm. Their selection of wines is excellent. The owners are such nice people and make you feel very welcomed and the service is impeccable. Been a few times and always a five star.

Quite a nice Milton spot! Their patio was perfect for lunch in 30 degree weather, with lots of shade and cold drinks. I had a margarita, which was great, though it was so light on the alcohol I m not even sure it had any. The service was good, the place felt homey and authentic, and their vegan options are good, though there are few of them. Their spaghetti aglio e olio is fresh and delicious, especially with chili oil added on top. The portions were not bad as well. Overall, a nice summer experience at Locanda.

I agree with some of the reviews here, that people working there sometimes want to push you out from restaurant while you are having a great time. Food was decent and so was atmosphere, I could have liked a bit more privacy, less staring from the owner and less hovering of waiters around the table. They asked us two times if we are done and food needs to be packed for takeout, if you are near to the closing of the restaurant, dont bring customers in. Third time owner just came and picked the plates without even asking. From reading the reviews, I think its how this restaurant and owner works and they dont want to change it.

AMAZING! I was taken to Lacanda for my birthday celebration with close friends. The wait staff were so welcoming, knowledgeable, and absolutely so kind. Our food was mouth-watering delicious. From the Gamberoni alla Diavola to the 14oz Ribeye cooked to perfection. Thank you for a memorable evening.

Came here for a dinner out with another couple. There were young children running around and yelling (at 8:30pm) with their parents completely oblivious to it. The food was ok. The calamari was very basic and bland. The sauce in the ricotta ravioli tasted like it was from a can. The service was rushed. We received the main course while people were still eating their starters. We all agreed that the best part of the entire meal was the drinks. Wont be rushing back anytime soon.

The staff was very friendly. We were always taken care off. The food was wonderful. I was celebrating my daughters birthday which was a few days passed. The server noticed her opening up her birthday card, came over and said Is it your birthday? We said it just passed. He then came back with a shot of this very tasty lemon and i think lime shot. We were not expecting this. What an awesome surprise. Highly reconment this place and will be back. Thank you Locanda for a 1st time impression.

Terrible service. Was jammed in a corner by the bathrooms because it was raining and rushed out of the building in an hour. Food is ok at best. I wont be back

They advertise gluten free items in their menu but have no knowledge whatsoever of dining with celiac disease. I got sick after eating supposedly safe gluten-free food at this place. Service was lackluster as well. I do not recommend this place to diners with dietary restrictions.

Had an absolutely wonderful dinner here tonight, the owner was so gracious as we went in on a whim for my mothers birthday and had a delicious meal and were treated to a great evening. Thank you so much for having us and making my mom feel special.

I booked a staff retirement party at Locanda based on several recommendations. Boy did Marco and his staff over-deliver on expectations! The food quality was top notch and the service was excellent. Marco oversaw the event as he understood how important it was to me. The special touches he added throughout the dinner certainly made our dinner a memorable one for all. Locanda is worth the drive to MIlton. It has earned a spot on my Go To list.

Great little italian place. Tomato based pastas get tossed in a giant cheese wheel which tasted amazing. Vegetarian options: Its italian food... pasta..

Had a fantastic dinner here. The food was fantastic, service impeccable, and the atmosphere was charming. Will certainly be back again. Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options.

Came here to pass the time before our scheduled date nearby. Place was busy and there was a line up but we were seated right away! Amazing food. Fast and great service! We ordered the SeaBass and Lobster Ravioli with 2 glasses of wine and it was perfect. Too bad we had to rush eating to make it for our time slot at Pumpkins in the Dark. Will definitely come back again.

Excellent service and delicious spicy oil. We had complementary bread. Unfortunately my lobster ravioli was not great. Would return to try other things on the menu.

Great food, very good service. Its small inside, so as it got busier it was pretty loud, and the air got a bit hazy from the kitchen, but it was Saturday night.

Food was great. Our table had all pasta and i had the one where it gets tossed in the cheese bowl. Although we were not in a rush, could have had our wine or drinks topped up a few times. It was busy, reservations recommended.

The atmosphere and dishes were fantastic. Service was on point and staff were friendly and attentive. Prices were also moderate.

Well we have to agree with many of the people who posted here. I have never in my life been asked to leave a restaurant because they need the table, even though they had several empty tables including one that sat 8 and could be made into smaller groupings. We do not live in Milton but in the area. We were meeting friends and looking forward to trying a new place. It was a social outing and we were enjoying ourselves but were pressured all the way through the meal with similar experiences; attempts to snatch plates before finished, pressure to order. You have to use a QR code for a menu. For some folks this is, not only, more than they can handle, but reading on ones phone while the waiter is hovering.....scrolling, scrolling...and in dim light, is, not only, not that easy but does not equate to fine dining. When asked if they didnt have a menu, one was told a very curt no. Mix ups with who was having what. Shoved in a corner table by the washrooms despite making a reservation almost 2 weeks ahead. Doubt many reserved 2 weeks ahead. They couldnt manage another table? Dining out is no longer cheap. The food isnt bad but not great. Certainly, not anxious to go back when one is felt to be unwelcome and the spirit of what dining out means, is missing. Pushing people through like an assembly-line can be done at McDonalds

We have been to Locanda several times and keep going back. Marco makes us feel at home. The food is consistently delicious and comes hot and fresh. We have tried everything on the menu. Every time we consider going to a competitor nearby, we never end up going. This place is a gem and service is always with a smile. We will continue to go back. Today was my birthday and I chose to have my dinner there. Instead of cake, I had a grown up candle which was a flaming Sambuca shot. Love it.

A quaint and lovely place to dine as a couple or group. Marco the owner is one of the nicest in town. As an Italian it is wonderful to go have a plate of pasta that truly reminds me of home cooking.

Salty salty . Mushy eggplant Parmesan. Felt Rushed the whole time ..asked for more food was told no kitchen closed. No customers no business. Not returning. Not used to being treated poorly .tried Locanda because usual places were booked for parties Etc waste of time and money.

A small, friendly dining experience. We have been several times and the meal is always delicious and the service is always friendly and prompt. We will be back many, many more times. Edit: Split with the wife so havent been back for some time until last week. Absolutely nothing has changed, a wonderful experience still.

So sad to be writing this review when I genuinely loved this place. I order here frequently; whether it be on a Friday night, or cater out for an occasion. About a month ago, I ordered the pasta locanda for a relative that orders the same thing almost every time she goes here and I ordered the meatballs and spaghetti for myself. Once I reached my destination after picking up my meals, the pasta locanda was literally dry with no cheese or sauce. We order this all the time and it never comes like this. I called the restaurant to let them know and the owner simply said thats how it comes all the time, next time order extra sauce on the side it wasn t worth the argument but it s just sad to know that was his response to a regular customer that supports his business. The meal ended up going to waste unfortunately. This is a place I refer to many of my friends and family members since I love supporting locally but I will not be doing that anymore. I m very big on principle and customer service since being apart of a family that owns multiple businesses myself. Overall, This was just my personal experience, the food is obviously a hit or a miss. I will be taking my business elsewhere though. Sasha

Truly authentic Italian with extremely reasonable prices. Marco was the best in adding to the authenticity of the restaurant. We will definitely be going back. I had Penne alla Vodka with meatballs on the side and my partner had Fettucine Alfredo with chicken. We. also had the fried calamari and caesar salad. Everything was cooked just right. Lastly, Marcos wine recommendations were perfectly chosen as per our taste preferences which we explained to him.

Was on the road looking for Italian cuisine, found this place. We had a great experience. We ordered Calamari, Alfredo fettuccine with shrimp, Seafood linguine. Everything was amazing. Our server was awesome. Hope I could visit them soon.

Food is very good prices are reasonable and suitable for the value of food, service good, but the place needs a lot of renovations and a touch of beautiful decoration. and maybe some music as well, For now , it s a place where you have good food then you go home

Returned after a pandemic pause, totally thrilled with the service, the food and genuine hospitality. Marko will treat you like family. You know you have missed something when you take pause, which I did a few times, do yourself a favour and spend a couple hours here talking to your loved one. The whole experience including the food won t disappoint

Amazing food. This place is very italy like so dont expect your chain restaurant overly cheezy or saucy pastas. The Tiramisu and cappuccino were great too.

I went here for my boyfriends graduation with his parents, they serve amazing food and have very friendly workers. We ordered their bruschetta and calamari as appetizers, the bruschetta was just average, however, the calamari was amazing. Additionally, boyfriends mom really enjoyed the wine menu. All of our dinners were delicious, and their homemade hot pepper oil dressing was a hit! The restaurant appeal is lovely, especially the outdoor part. The inside of the restaurant is a little dark, but overall I would highly recommend Locanda!

Ordered take out. Picked up on time and brought straight home 5 minutes away, 10 minutes to the table. Never again. Calamari was like cartilage! The marlin steak was very bland, like hospital food, or like if beige was a flavour. The caesar salad with chicken had no chicken. The penne was alright. The chicken alfredo was garbage. Dry, bland, flavorless, not nearly enough alfrdo sauce. The one tiny potato was pretty good! Very Disappointing to spend good money here, but at least I know not to bother with this joint ever again. Terrible.

Nice little gem in heart of Milton, nice decor and music and large patio. Recommend a rez, we found this place by chance as our other spot was closed for the weekend. The host is amazing, servers are quick and very pleasant. The food, simple and delicious. My wife had the rigatoni ala parm wheel and I have the lobster ravioli which was stuffed well. Both dishes were great, good size portions with a wonderful silky rose sauce. Thr bruchetta was authentic, simply delish as was the spring mix salad which had slice of fennel it in which was great for the taste buds. We end with tiramisu, omg!, never had one that was so decadent and light, perfect end to a great meal. We will frequent this place, it has great food, great service, and the price point is great too; although you dont mind prices for a supreme experience. Cheers

Best Italian food in town. Always come here for spaghetti pomodoro and fettuccine Alfredo. So so good! Also the chilli oil is really good, they should start selling their house chilli oil.

If I can give this more stars I would! Absolutely amazing experience from start to end. Got greeted right away and sat at our table. The service was absolutely amazing and everyone was so friendly. Food came out quickly and it was so delicious. The Lobster Ravioli melts in your mouth and the Gnocco was so soft and light. The tiramisu for dessert was one of the best I ve ever had. So light and fluffy. The atmosphere, service, and food created one memorable dinner. Definitely coming back again!

I recently moved to Milton and a colleague highly recommended this restaurant, so we were excited to have a great experience. I made a reservation and when we walked in, we were told to take a seat by the window so we did. A few minutes later the same guy asked us to move because he had a party of 6 and needed the space. Without hesitation, we moved. A few minutes later he came by (balancing plates he had cleared from a table) and asked if we were ready to order. I found this odd as usually you would be asked if you want water for the table and or drinks. But we went ahead and ordered. Then we noticed the party of 6 people we had been asked to move for, arrive, and be seated. What I noticed next was the same guy who took our order introducing himself to the ladies as Marco and proceeding to explain to them what the specials of the day were and offering drinks. This was in complete contrast to the reception we had received. So my partner got Marco s attention and asked the question why the difference in reception? (By now we had received our Calamari starter, wine, and water for the table). His response was that he was busy and he was doing his best. So too busy for us but not too busy for them had no logic? We asked why we were not told about the specials for the day to which he responded, they are all on the menu so you can see them yourselves, you are not missing anything . At this point, we asked him why he was behaving like that and with a lack of apology? My partner told him that we would prefer to end our experience there to which he was told that Marco was going to box up our main, he fumbled to try and pop a cork back in the wine and stormed off to the kitchen to tell them. My partner got up and followed him to let him know that we did not want food in boxes and an open bottle of wine to leave with, we just wanted to leave. Marco is co-owner with one of the chefs who gave my partner the dirtiest look which also seemed threatening. Then Marco proceeded to drop a bill for $79 on the table and asked us to pay and leave. We told him we were happy to pay for the starter but not for a bottle of wine that had just been opened. At this point, he crumpled the receipt, grabbed the wine bottle and the two glasses he had poured, and stormed back to the bar. During this we were extremely polite, the rudeness and bad energy on display were like nothing we have seen before. We are foodies and have eaten across all continents and have never seen this type of behavior. Such a shame as the starter was nice and looking over at other tables it would have been nice to sample their cuisine. Whilst we appreciate restaurants get busy (it wasn t full) without customers you don t have a business. I hope Marco and his partner read this and at the very least appreciate this was poor behavior and an experience they really wouldn t want diners coming to their restaurant to have. I hope the reasons for the behavior were not for issues we are trying to rid the world of. Extremely disappointing!

We read all the good reviews before we decided on this restaurant, pleased with our experience. Pasta was fresh, wife loved the Lobster Ravioli. Ceaser salad wasnt the best, nor was my wifes mixed drink but their prices are very reasonable for what you get which would certainly bring us back again. Cheers!

The hospitality is great. The staff are friendly and pay attention to detail. The food is authentic. That chef knows what he is doing. I had the Seafood pasta. Great flavours and cooked perfectly. I also tried a bite of the sea bass. It was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. It s very small and intimate. Great atmosphere.

Really fresh meals with the best ingredients when I say fresh if as if it came from the farm directly the food tastes so wonderful and the seasoning is just done right.... really authentic Italian food! And the meals come out so quickly never a very long wait
