The worst Yakisoba I’ve ever had! They literally threw some over cooked noodles and veggies with watery sauce on top for $11. No flavour, no taste. Very disappointed
I should have left a review years ago! I have been ordering from Yamato Japan since 2009 (approximately). I moved away from Milton right before the pandemic and was worried that they may have closed down. But when I returned for a visit a few years later, I was delighted that the lovely couple were still there! (I apologize, I do not know their names. But they both recognize me and always ask how my mother is doing. Very sweet!) The Teriyaki Chicken is the most popular dish but I also love the beef and shrimp. The teriyaki sauce is incredible. I have been unable to find another. I prefer sweet flavours in general and this is the only teriyaki sauce I have had that is just sweet enough. The kind man will also provide another scoop of the sauce if asked. Located in the Milton Mall, I recommend anyone in the area looking for a delicious meal to head over and give it a try!
I sent my wife here to pick up food because I hadn’t eaten all day! I was so stoked when I read the reviews and was looking forward to stir-FRIED noodles with teriyaki sauce. DISGUSTING 🤢 Not only are the noodles soggy and wet, they are the furthest thing away from being fried! I asked my wife to get extra meat and the meat portion seems the same, to top it all off the meat is dry and blend with two pieces of mushrooms. God awful! Makes me think that the people who dine here never had good food or have no taste buds! What a disappointment! Will not recommend and not return, the noodles were a huge let down with weird texture and flavour. I had to get food from elsewhere!
I have been coming here for years. The food is fantastic and the gentleman that cooks is so humble. I don't live in Milton anymore and still come here to get my Teriyaki fix. The portions are the biggest your going to get anywhere.
I went all the way from Kitchener to Milton Mall just to try Japanese cuisine & I wasn't disappointed. Halal restaurant. Foods are delicious. If you like rice, try teriyaki. If you are fond of noodles, try yakisoba. I tried both & both were good.
Was looking for a nice Asian place to eat at with my boyfriend on the way to Springridge Farm. Happened to find this place with hella good reviews. We ultimately decided on this place since one comment mentioned that the chicken was halal. However, when we arrived we quickly found out that all the meat they serve is halal (besides the pork option, obviously). In fact, the other restaurants next to this place also serve halal meat, which is really great considering most places don't do that. Overall, I'd say that the food was good but not mind-blowing. However, the portion and the price were outstanding. This place is definitely worth the visit if you're looking for a quick, hot, good meal. The service was also phenomenal. The older gentleman helped us out and he was very efficient and friendly. 10/10 would visit again and recommend to others 😋 Oh, but if you wanna give any tips make sure to bring cash. There's no tip option on the pay machine.
I love the chicken teriyaki!! Perfect amount for decent price was around $10 with a pop. Rice is perfection! Edit: It was good at first I just had Cartledge in my chicken and hurt my jaw I had to stop eating I was very disappointed this time as I normally never have any complaints!
Sweet older couple who were super friendly! Walked into the mall randomly and their chicken/beef teriyaki sign caught my eye. $8.99 plus tax for a good portion! Really good deal and I'm definitely coming back. Food was very tasty, teriyaki sauce was good. It didn't seem like the generic ones you get at other places. Best part was that the meat had a nice char taste.

Absolutely the best
Food was really good, however I am still not 100% certain if the chicken is really Halal here. Seems like a trend, all the three restaurants in Milton mall all have a similar halal sign but none of them have halal certificate. I asked the owner where they purchase their halal chicken from, and he said some name and said it was from Scarborough but I had no luck finding the place online. Maybe I misspelled the name of the meat provider. If any Muslim goes there next time, please do try to verify their source for halal meats. Fantastic teriyaki. Big portions and well-priced. Its in the food court, so there are plenty of tables for dining or you can take it away.

Great service and price. Ok food. Flexible with my request of adding more broccoli to the veggies at no extra cost. Very generous portions. I ordered teriyaki tofu and veggies rice. However, teriyaki sauce was very light and watery and there was no taste to the food even after adding hot sauce and soy sauced. I missed the taste of garlic and ginger.

The chicken teriyaki here is sensational, I have been coming here since I was a kid and the guy making the food never misses. The chicken teriyaki is always fire, its cheap, not terrible for you either. I love it.

Wow the beef is honestly disgusting. The lowest quality meat you can get . All fat . I couldnt eat it so took it home for the dogs and they couldnt even eat it so imagine .

I had originally come across this restaurant because I was visiting the restaurant beside it but was so intrigued that they cooked the food in front of you at Yamato. I ended up trying Yamato a few weeks later and got the Chicken and Beef Teriyaki. It was Delicious. The second time I went was the day after and I got the Chicken Shrimp and Pineapple Teriyaki. I loved how the pineapples, Shrimp and Chicken were fresh and super delicious. The Teriyaki comes With Japanese rice, Mushroom, broccoli and cabbage. It tastes amazing especially with the additional Sriracha Sauce to top it off!

I think I m addicted to their teriyaki chicken and rice. You get a good amount of food for the price. Nice people working there. Be warned, they may close a bit early on a Sunday. Might be a good idea to call ahead.
We have eaten here regularly for 15 years. They are a lovely couple and the chicken teriyaki is something the whole family will happily eat. I just ask for no mushrooms in one order and were good to go!

I always go here for a quick but filling meal for dinner! I always order either a chicken or beef teriyaki and for $6.27 plus tax you really can t go wrong with the amount they give you and just eating half of the food I m already stuffed! HIGHLY recommend this place as it s my families favorite well worth the money for and makes a great dinner!! been coming here over 4yrs now and still love it!! Clean area and the guy cooking/serving is such a genuine kind person! :)
Amazing food and service. Highly recommended. Best price for what you get in this mall. Food is made fresh everytime when you place an order, and tastes amazing. Their meats are marinated for overnight before they grill them. Other teriyaki places usually dont marinate their meats. You can taste the difference and lastly portion is very generous for what you pay. Other two restaurants next to it sells junk and deep fried garbage. The only healthy option in this mall is this teriyaki restaurant.

Really looked forward to trying! Hubby brought home as take out. Very disappointed!! First of all you need better containers for take out, as the sauce is all over the bag and containers. The noodles are so over cooked, that they are actually slimy... so gross. The only thing edible was the beef and few veggies.
So with Lowes moving into this mall hopefully some desperately needed foot traffic will bolster these shops that have been on the verge of closing - as have several, including A&W, already. That being said, a little less time on the cell phone and a little more time chopping and grilling would be ideal. I politely indicated that I waited sufficient time for my meal and the little lady absconded with her cellular into the kitchen to carry on one heck of a long conversation leaving absolute chaos for her husband to manage. Its retail, business is bursty, a polite call you back in five... Would have been apropos. The meal wasnt bad, at $6.25 for the lunch special you cant go wrong. But with increased foot traffic coming from Lowes moving in, customer service needs a little tweakin...
They are so nice and you will get a big portion of teriyaki for a good price. The only thing that i dont like about this place is that they dont accept debit/credit. They only accept accept. It would be very handy if they accept debit or credit. The owners are really nice too.
