Stopped by this cute little shop based on reviews. I tried the birrias and empanadas. Customer service was definitely a 10/10. And the birrias were so good that I forgot to take a picture. My kids really enjoyed the cheesy empanadas as well. Really hope to see this place expand one day so we can sit down and enjoy the food inside.

So good. I kept forgetting it exists, and remembered it on a whim. Had it last week, and I m bringing people to try it this week. Plan on getting it as takeout, there s minimal seating.

Sancocho is yummy but my favorite is the arepa rellena!!! Dine in is challenging, I really hope they have awesome success so that they can get a bigger place because the food is delicious! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options

Very small inside and gets hot, they make good birria tacos but unfortunately one of my tacos had what appeared to be a bite taken out of one of my tacos and I ordered two churros and got half the caramel it s supposed to come with I ordered two!!! The first time we ordered we got four churros and two containers of caramel why this time it s half full? Honestly the customer service is fake she would be over friendly with my bf at first but this time she was different, but now are order was messed with?

Lucy is lovely. Tried this place for the first time today and I will definitely be going back. My wife and I shared the three soft tacos (chicken, pork & beef), an order of flautas, an order of the battered shrimp tacos and finished off the meal with the tres leche. Everything tasted amazing. It was all so fresh. Lucy was so helpful when I was trying to decide what to get. She also, unbeknownst to me, slipped a small order of churros into our take out bag! They were the best churros I ve ever had. Will definitely be going back to try more off of their fantastic menu.

We ordered the Birria tacos, fish tacos , and cheese empanadas and WOW! Randomly stumbled across this place while googling taco places in Milton, and so happy we did! It is AUTHENTIC Latin cuisine! You know it s authentic when you have Abuela cooking in the kitchen! They have a couple little tables you could eat at, but we took it to go! Will be back over and over and over again! Highly highly recommend!

Impeccable food fresh wonderful ingredients! Combining that with the absolute fantastic customer service this place is a new Gem in Milton.

Authentic Latin food. We are from south America and had the chicharrónz tacos, and sancocho and loved it. They put work into the food and it comes out on the taste. The restaurant has a great story and commitment to cooking Latin food. Easily my new favorite place in Milton for pick up because the food has its work and comes out great.

Food is really tasty especially the nachos. However, It is a bit pricey for the serving size, everyone in the group was still feeling a little hungry except the people who ordered the nachos. For $20+ per person I was expecting a bit more to eat. The seating is really limited, so if you are a family of more than 4 make plans of where to eat your food. Dietary restrictions: There were plenty of options for Gluten Free and nobody was sick after eating here.

If you want pupusas please go to Brampton it s called La Guanaquita I assure you they are 9074849% better than these dry nasty pupusas if you don t believe me then go ahead and order them from viva la tortilla and try them yourself and you ll see what I m talking about if I could give -4 stars I would most likely the owner will remove this once she see it

We stopped by Viva La Tortilla this weekend and were pleasantly greeted by Lucy. She recommended we try their tasting menu they had advertised for Taste of Downtown . We enjoyed the beef empanadas, chicken tacos and delicious tres leches dessert. The beef empanadas were delicious, lots of tender beef on the inside of these tasty bites. Amazing authentic Latin food we will most definitely be returning to try the rest of their menu.

The Tres Leches Cake was very tasty. But way too overpriced for the full cake. Also it was not presented well. Just available in aluminium foil. They dont have anything to write on the cake as well. But the taste was really really good. Must try .. Its a takeaway only and did not try any other item.

Amazing authentic latin restaurant in Milton. Family owned and operated, everything they make here is amazing. Never go to a Burrito chain again, this place is the real deal! Note that this is primarily takeout, they have one tiny table but its mostly for waiting.

Location is quaint, comfortable, homey. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. The food we ordered was delicious. The quesabirria tacos were served in 3 pieces per order, each one filled with well seasoned slow-cooked pulled beef, folded into a freshly toasted corn tortilla with a mix of cilantro and onions; the consommé it comes with really elevates it. We also ordered chicken empanadas that were freshly deep fried. The filling was rich, creamy, and perfectly flavored. The crema and salsa dip combined really compliment them. All in all its a delightful restaurant, and its a strong recommendation from me. Essentially the only authentic Mexican eatery in Milton, its a no-brainer: get a meal here. Vegetarian options: Cheese empanada Parking: As this plaza is not overly busy, the parking available is ample and easily accessed.

This place not only has some of the best authentic Mexican cuisine in town, but also has phenomenal service and such a cute atmosphere 10/10 recommend!

Ordered a chicken tostada, medium heat, and a chicken tamale. I had been craving a proper tostada for a long time and this was perfect. Crisp shell, nice presentation and well distributed fresh ingredients. My only complaint is that I ordered medium heat and even with the included sauce, there was virtually no heat at all. Now on the tamale.... at least that what it was supposed to be. When I opened the container, I couldnt tell if I was to pick it up or use a fork. Since there was no fork, I attempted to pick it up. Mushy and brown. Honestly, it looked disgusting, but I know not to judge food by its appearance (otherwise Id never try guac!) I tried to take a bite .. and hit bone. I pulled out a chicken wing! Whaaaat??? It might be just me. Maybe I was to expect that? Its probably the first tamale Ive had in 10+ years so maybe my memory of tamales is distorted. So, the tostada scored some big points. The tamale experience not so much. Other pics in the reviews look pretty good and it looks like everything is quite authentic. I will likely try it again but I think I might stop by and ask some questions about the tamale. Service & Atmosphere I rated only because it was delivery; no reflection on the business, and I didnt want to unfairly affect the averages.

I tried Viva la Tortilla yesterday, and i had some of best tacos I ve ever had in my life. 3 good sized tacos filled with fresh pico de gallo, Crema and beef, plus a drink. Total came out to $11, incredible value for the delicious food you get. I ll be bringing my friends and family back!

The people that run Viva la Tortilla are super friendly and you can see they take pride in their restaurant. We ordered the Bandeja Latina - it comes with a bits of different meats, rice, beans and plantains, Tortilla, crema and salsa. Delish! And filling. Also had their tres leches cake..it was light and delicious. Would definitely go back.

When looking through google for a place to get lunch I seen this spot as an option that I hadn t seen before and decided to try it out. It s a great little spot and is well needed in Milton. The food was great and the price point of their items on the menu is very hard to beat. The service was great as well!

I finally don t have to travel to Plaza Latina or North York to get my Latin fix for authentic tamales, popusas and tacos. Food was great!

A new hidden gem in Milton - family owned, all made-in-house, with daily specials. Clean kitchen, very fresh ingredients, some nice desserts, fresh juices and a few groceries available.. We ordered burrito, empanadas, plantain and beef salad bowl. Everything was cooked perfectly and amazing flavor. Plantains were some of the best Ive ever had...craving them already (must try!). The beef was delicious and excellent value for price. Empanadas are a must order as well. The restaurant is small space and hidden in the back parking lot of Troys diner building. Mostly for take-out but there is a picnic bench just outside that we enjoyed our meal on. They have used the space very nicely just it is small. Customers can call in advance for larger take out orders. They have opening specials right now, $5 $3 so visit asap! Highly recommend. Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten-free options.

Super clean; friendly and delicious!!! Finally great Latin food at a reasonable price and so close!!! Vegetarian options: Bean and cheese popusa and they have shrimp tacos on Friday. Parking: Parking shared with other vendors but there was plenty of space.

A true hidden gem. Despite the bad location (small and not street facing with little room for exterior signage, at first we thought Google had made a mistake until we spotted the small sign) its well worth seeking out. The prices are a good (empanadas fully loaded, carnitas, and vegetarian burrito for under $40) and the food? It was incredible. Service was excellent, and a mistake with the order was fixed quickly and cheerfully. The only negatives are both based on the location: Literally no dine-in area, just two picnic tables outside the door (one normal and one child sized); and the previously mentioned difficulty in finding it. Not a great dine-in option even in nice weather, but just fine for takeout. On the plus side for the location, the restaurant interior is bright and inviting. I dont live in Milton, but Im definitely going to make an effort to come back to this restaurant when Im in the area. Vegetarian options: Not a huge vegetarian selection, but what they did have was excellent.

Tucked at the back of Troy s diner you will find tiny Viva la Tortilla. For lunch we ordered the small but good beef tacos (3 for $9). The beef had good flavour but the single soft tortilla fell apart as we ate them. The worst part was as we opened the take-out bag they forgot the Pico de Gallo. They didn t give us any sauces even though they asked if we liked it hot (spicy). We had walked to a park so we were too far away to go back. It would have added another layer of flavour. That s why I have to take away one star from my rating. We also tried the Pupusa ($4) and we really liked the taste. The crunch of the chicarron was especially nice. I would order that again. Service was friendly, there is a picnic table outside if you want to stay and eat and there s ample parking.

This is a beautiful hidden gem in Milton!! My friend and I decided to go here since there was a Car Show yesterday! We ordered 3 hard pork tacos and 3 soft beef tacos, and guys let me tell you something... the tacos were *DELICIOUS*. Literally, you can tell that everything is made from scratch. Highly recommend going to this place.

Tried to go grab some food on a Saturday evening..showed up at 6:15pm. The place was hopping...we walked in only to be told they closed at 6 pm... who closes at 6pm on a Saturday night (prime time for dinner)? I think you are missing out on a lot of $$..stay open till at least 8 pm Fri and Sat...Im sure it will be well worth it. I will update my review once I get a chance to eat here. Finally made it in. I had a beef and a pork burrito along with a pupusa. Everything was delicious. I definitely will be back to try more.

My husband and I used to loooove this place! So delicious! Great portion sizes but recently they significantly decreased portion sizes AND raised the price. It s so disappointing because we love the owners and they re such nice people, we d love to support them but we will no longer be buying from them. The price increase is understand but the portions look like half of what they used to be and I cannot spend my hard earned money on them anymore

This was absolutely horrible!! The food is overly salty and the tortillas are store bought. Once I went there my tortillas were MOLDY!!!

I hope people dont take too much of my review because this was just my personal experience and it wasnt very good... so as not to make this review too long... I ordered 6 chicharron pupusas with cheese and 1 order of tacos... The tacos were all good, the pupusas came with only cheese and the worst thing was that 75% of the pupusa was pure dough and 25% cheese and no chicharron. I know that these mistakes happen, the lady who called me was very kind, I dont know if it was the owner or worker but I dont recommend it because of my experience. I also dont want to leave you this review. I hope that the owners contact me here to just give me an explanation of what happened and I write this review because I know it was a human error

Came with a friend as restaurant was recommended. The staff was super helpful and very friendly. The place is small, not really a restaurant it s more for pick up orders. We tried a couple of items in the menu: flautas , tacos de birria, burrito. Good tasted good but portions are very very small, the birria tacos had very little meat. Same with the fried tacos that they call flautas , it barely had any chicken inside, and we payed two dollars more for the extra loaded tacos The burrito was decent. When I compare them to other Mexican restaurant that I been, I can t justify the cost. I drive far (40 mins) for my fav birria loaded tacos, and I guess I will have to keep driving far for them. Too bad as viva la tortilla is very close to me. I really wish your restaurant best of luck.
