The restaurant delivered an incredible experience with authentic Jamaican flavour. The curry chicken was tender and well-seasoned, while the oxtail was rich and perfectly slow-cooked. Both dishes were complemented by rice & peas and a refreshing kale mango salad, making the meal truly memorable.

Outstanding food. Presentation, portion size, price and especially taste/quality were superb. Five stars in every respect. Atmosphere and service were also superior. You cannot go wrong eating here. A true gem. Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access.

My partner and I are Jamaican and we have been searching for some good Jamaican food in milton, it was not until I was in the hospital giving birth to our daughter that a wonderful nurse told us about this restaurant. We decided to try it as soon as I was discharged and we have been hooked since. This kind of cooking reminds us of our mothers home cooking. We have tried every item on the menu and still not disappointed. This chef is God sent and its obvious his hands are blessed to carry out this passion of his. Ordered an order of wings and a red pea soup that I was told came with oxtail. I got 1 bloodclot oxtail ! For $30? I get it you re in Milton but 1 oxtail in my whole soup is crazy.

Was an amazing experience at Journey s Cuisine! The chef really puts his all into the food and you can see and taste it as soon as the plate is put infront of you. This restaurant is the definition of cooking with love! From our waitress to the chef you can really sense the care and passion they put in. I will definitely be back! Amazing service

As we walked in we were warmly greeted by the friendly staff. Our server was great she really knew her stuff and gave us the best choice options from the menu for each of our individual tastebuds lol. The food was immaculate and the portions was superb my mother is one hard person to please when it comes to eating out and when she doesnt leave anything back then you know she loves the food we would definitely rate the food we had out of 10 a hard 11 and we definitely plan to return it was worth the trip from Etobicoke!

The place is clean and cozy with white tablecloths...something rare today and much appreciated. Service is professional and polite. The only small thing is one morning we came in and the music (which we like) was too loud. Other than that no problems..will be back.

The food was simply delicious. I ordered rice and peas with curried goat and oxtail. The food was very flavorful and tasty. You tasted the real Jamaican touch to the food. It was the real deal. The servers were also very attentive and friendly. Definitely would recommend this place.

Stayed at the attached hotel for a competition and came in for dinner and can t say enough good things about this place. The jerk chicken is hands down the best chicken I ve ever eaten. The service is 11/10, the staff are so friendly, attentive, and welcoming. I will absolutely be back, I will drive in from Hamilton just to eat here again!

We dined there on Sunday May 26 2024. We celebrated the engagement of our niece. This place is perfect. Thanks chef Courtney, thanks, waitress Cam. The smoked jerk chicken was wonderful, the shrimp mac and cheese dish was a massive hit. The salads could not have been better. Thanks for suggesting the salmon, oxtail and curry goat. This restaurant is truly a hidden gem in Milton! The food is incredible, the staff make you feel so welcomed and the family-friendly atmosphere is wonderful. Wow. This place is great. It s attached to the Best Western Hotel; at first sight I thought the great reviews couldn t possibly be true. But they are. The food, attention, service, and family/ community vibe were wonderful. I had the oxtail stew with rice and salad. I ate the whole thing, and it was a big portion home cooked, fresh and amazing. My friends had the jerk chicken and the burger with fries. Both were excellent. The desserts different cakes and pies are all homemade from scratch and baked on premises. We shared a piece of the cherry almond cake. Really great, not too sweet, and moist. Then the chef came out, and he was talking to us. What an interesting, interesting guy. He opened a restaurant in the Plaza Americas in Varadero, which I had actually seen a ton of people eating at when I was in Varadero about a month ago. Just a super interesting and really nice man and obviously a great chef. I m happy we went here and will definitely come back. An unassuming and genuine gem.

We stayed at the Best Western hotel attached and had dinner and breakfast. An outstanding experience. Everything was well prepared and fresh. Very good flavour. Had a minor issue which was cleared up immediately. This is what customer service used to be when I was a kid. These people know how to serve customers. We will be back the next time we stay down south. As we are from Northern Ontario. We ordered Caribbean food. Oxtail=good. Rice and peas = good. Fried plantains = good. Side salad = fresh, light and exciting. I m saying good but I mean great. Breakfast was also good. We had a veggie omelette and blueberry pancakes. This is normal white boy food. And it was good as well. Good sized portions. Took me twice to finish the oxtail and rice. Do yourself a favour. Don t sleep on Journeys. We took it to our room. They use very good quality take away containers. Not flimsy garbage. Parking: Lots of parking.

Was specifically there for an event at the hall in the hotel, the restaurant catered it. Delicious food, well seasoned, service was excellent... The staff were courteous and helpful. Appetizers and main course were brought out in a timely manner, coconut shrimp were delicious and coconutty and crispy; The spring rolls were perfect. The mango kale salad was absolutely delicious, highly recommend getting that. The jerk chicken was extremely delicious - - often times I shy away from eating jerk chicken, because a lot of people dont do it well (Im Jamaican, so my standards are high lol), but I absolutely recommend the jerk chicken here. You cant go wrong with anything here really. Vegetarian options: Vegetable pasta salad Parking: Lots of parking available, as it shares space with the Best Western hotel. Wheelchair accessibility: Be mindful in the fact that disabled parking spots are limited

Wow! This restaurant is amazing! The servers are beautiful people and you feel the love. The food is delicious! One night our party had jerk chicken, shrimp pasta, burgers and chicken wings; each dish was beyond expectations-no complaints at all. The next morning we had breakfast sandwiches which were awesome. Our only complaint is that we didn t eat here every day/night of our stay! Thank you chef!

The staff were really nice and professional, i didnt know what to order so i asked her what the best thing on the menu was and she gave me many options! Probably the best West Indian or Caribbean food in Milton. I enjoy yellow bird when its randomly open but journeys goes the extra mile for that home cooked meal vibe. I do wish the servings of the oxtail were a bit bigger for the price but inflation is real lol. Went here with a big party. Enjoyed the atmosphere. The servers were friendly.

A solid dining place inside the Best Western! The oxtail was so flavourful but I would have liked the meat:bone ratio to be higher (: The real winner of this place are the servers who are so kind and friendly - they welcomed us like family from the moment we came in. Would recommend!

The food here is a must try! We came because of the reviews and they didn t disappoint! Coconut breaded shrimp was amazing! Jerk chicken and their salmon with mango salsa was delicious and huge portions and we even tried the chocolate almond torte which was gluten free and the best cake ever!! I stumbled upon this restaurant as I was searching for places to eat near the Toronto premium outlets. It had great reviews so I decided to check it out. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint. We ordered Calypso shrimp, coconut shrimp, jerk chicken and salmon for mains and the chocolate almond tort for dessert. Everything was delicious! Our server and the chef were very welcoming and warm.

After a few visits to Journeys I have to say that their food has always been constantly amazing. During every visit the staff has always been extremely friendly and accommodating and have made me feel at home every time. In terms of Caribbean restaurants, this gem is one of the best options out there.

I cannot begin to explain the luxurious flavours that came out from the kitchen. We were there last weekend for a friends 50th birthday and it was, what I would coin as Top Shelf Casual. The curried goat was the G.O.A.T.!!! With an appetizer of cow foot soup, oh baby!. The rest of the gang were amazed at the jerk chicken, fried shrimp, unbelievable mango salad...etc etc. Sweet, savoury, floral. Phenomenal The menu fare will accomodate everyone. (Side note: the club sandwich looked awesome, will try that too one day) And it was so pleasantly affordable... OMG The staff were super inviting and a blast to chat with. The chef greeted us after and received applause from all. Food 10/10 Vibe 10/10 Would I return? 1000/10 Thank you so much for treating us like family. Until the next time.

Delicious affordable off the charts. We were there last weekend to celebrate a special friends 50th. Not only was the food phenomenal but the kitchen staff and chef came out to make sure that we were enjoying our food. We just tried Journey s after our friends recommendation. We tried the Jamaican cuisine and it did not disappoint! Chef Courtney is serving up elevated versions of traditional Jamaican dishes. The oxtail was a refined version of a dish we have had for many years in Jamaica. The jerk chicken is by far the best I have had in Canada. It is the closest to Scotchies (google it) I have tried. The mango kale salad is an impressive interpretation of the traditional coleslaw. The curry goat special tasted homemade! Amazing all around. I have found my new happy place!

If you want authentic Jamaican food Journey s is the spot. The food is very well seasoned and the portion size is filling. My husband and I ordered veg spring rolls as appetizers and oxtail and curry goat with rice and peas with their signature mango kale salad for dinner.

Honestly if there was a 6th star, you guys deserve it. The jerk chicken has the right flavour and spice. Oxtail was probably the best I have had. Fall off the bone tender, full a flavour. Mango salad was phenomenal and the cowfoot soup was boss. This time was takeout, will definitely be back to dine. The ladies at the counter were friendly and courteous.

It was my first time coming with my family and it is an experience worth having! Our server was Pauline and she was kind, hospitable , understanding and funny. First of all my food was amazing. I had the fried plantain, festivals, wings and spring rolls for the appetizer. It was on point! For my main I had the oxtail meal with rice and peas with a kale and mango salad and a beautiful edible flower to top it off! The flavours, portion and plating were more than expected! ALL FOOD CAME TO MY TABLE HOT and DELICIOUS! I definitely recommend for business meetings, family outings, parties etc! Parking: Very accessible.

What a great meal. The service was great too. I had the oxtail on a rose pasta, which was not on the menu but I saw on other reviews. Great. Also the coconut shrimp and plantain were a treat. My friends had the jerk chicken which has a bit of a kick to it but was good and flavorful. The only complaint is the bones in everything. The Caribbean food was authentic and very filling.

The best hidden gem in the GTA for a sumptuous Caribbean flavour! Never a disappointment despite your craving! The location is just off the 401 corridor and the decor is absolutely welcoming while the staff are super friendly but let s talk about the food . The flavours are bursting at the seam - authentic Jerk Chicken, Lemon Ginger Salmon, succulent Oxtail, Fish prepared to your palette, well season fried Chicken, tender curried Goat, Steak . Went here for my birthday and they gave us a private room. With all of the running around we had today there was no time to pick up a cake, I was offered a cake on the house (no other restaurant would do that!). The food was absolutely amazing and our waitress Pam was 10/10. We will be back, food can t compare to other restaurants. My friends took me to Journeys Cuisine for my birthday dinner. They were closed for the night, when we arrived, knowing it is my birthday the staff reopened to serve us for the night ,the entire staff is delighted to serve and host us ,they went beyond to recommend and put a great menu for my birthday dinner seafood ,my friend meals scrumptious with mix and match meat,also edible flowers to garnish the meals. Pleasant staff all of them really host us well .I will recommend everyone to visit Journeys Cuisine you will love the experience, lovely ambience and clean place.

I love this restaurant, it has delicious authentic Jamaican food. A hidden gem for sure. My only issues, is that they are NEVER available on Uber eats, and when I try calling the restaurant to tell them to put themselves on Uber eats they don t answer. I don t drive so I can t pick up, it s very inconvenient. PLEASE try to go on at least once a day for an hour or so.

This is my favourite international restaurant. I travel a distance to get the food & experience the service. The chef & waitresses are so friendly and the atmosphere is so welcoming. I ve been here three times now just for the food. This time we stayed at the hotel so that we could have dinner & try the breakfast! My church sister hosted a wonderful birthday lunch for approximately 25 guests at this exquisite carribbean restaurant last Sunday, and I must say that the food was delicious It was my first Introduction and I give the service and staff a thumbs up for their hospitality with patience and a smile.

First of all our server Cam was impressive . She was so professional and efficient when dealing with our table of 16. The coconut shrimps, ackee and salt fish Spinach and cheese doeuvre was so good. I had the oxtail and sautéed vegetables. The oxtail was so well-seasoned, tender and delicious. Thank you Courtney we ALL enjoyed our meals.

I ve dined in twice and had a great experience both times. My first visit was for business meeting over private dining. Courtney opened early to accommodate my reservation. Appetizers were served almost immediately and our entrees very closely behind. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the ambiance was A1! My second dining experience was for an event. Courtney and staff hosted our group of 15, as well as, another smaller group. Our meals were FANTASTIC! I had the oxtail dinner with rice and peas. The oxtail was nicely seasoned/flavoured and fall off the bone delicious. I am a forever fan! Thank you Journey s Team!

Stayed at the Best Western for a night to relax and tried their new restaurant downstairs. Absolutely amazing! Not only was the owner willing to and did bring my food up to my room, the presentation on the plate was beautiful, the food was fresh and tasted delicious. Ordering such a delicious dinner made me also order breakfast the next day. I will definitely be back even without staying at the hotel. Milton finally has an amazing Jamaican restaurant!

This Hidden Gem is a must try, especially for all the Jamaican food lovers in town! As you all know, we have never had any really impressive west indian cuisine in Milton, and this place is filling a needed gap. I have had their salmon and their oxtail, and both are very good, they are prepared with love and it shows. The salmon is actually spectacular and their little mango kale salad is the perfect compliment to all of their dishes. The restaurant itself is quite nice too, so Im looking forward to dining in when that becomes a normal thing again. Hope to try everything on the menu in time.

My family and I had a wonderful evening at Journeys to celebrate my grandmothers 88th birthday. The friendly staff catered to every need of our large party of 14. The food was delicious, with generous portion and beautiful presentation.Our server recommended the shrimp pasta- the shrimp was seasoned to perfection. Thank you to the talented chef for the complimentary engraved watermelon sculpture. You made my grandmothers evening extra special!

Amazing Food!! Two years ago our family went through the unexpected loss of my brother. This was just prior to COVID lockdown. On the day of the funeral we had to quickly change venue from a community center to our home. Courtney and his crew was so accommodating. He went beyond our expectations, adding some special touches like a carved watermelon with the flags of my brother place of birth and one of his favourite sport basketball. Friends and family enjoyed and complimented on the amazing food. Now that we are slowly getting back out to socializing we went to Journey s International restaurant yesterday and chef Courtney did not disappoint. We had shrimp noodles, rice & peas with oxtail and jerk pork. Everything was superb. Nice place for dine in dinner or takeout. We will be going back to celebrate by friend birthday in a couple weeks. This will definitely be our go to restaurant. A gem in GTA. It s worth the drive to Milton, you won t be disappointed.

These guys go over and beyond your expectations. Recently placed a take out order for a work colleague who was leaving. The food was amazing and they even threw in a carved out watermelon with her name - fabulous beyond words and would totally recommend them if you re looking to cater for an event or if you re just looking for a meal

As a Trinidadian living in Milton, finding this restaurant on UberEats was like finding gold. I wish I can give more than 5 stars. The oxtail and rice dish was perfection. Planning to visit their restaurant today to get take-out. Have very high expectations.

I am a very good cook, but when I want to eat somewhere, where the flavour pops in your mouth and the presentation is next to heaven, I enjoy the atmosphere, the cleanses and the promptness in getting the order. I especially like when the chef came out to ask about our meal. Classy and homey at the same time. I ll be coming back for more and telling my friends. Keep doing what you are doing. P.s. the portions made my husband happy.

My family had an event at the BW which was catered by Journeys Cuisine. I can honestly say the food was delicious! My family and I had seconds and even arranged to take some home. Would definitely recommend if you re looking for authentic delicious Jamaican cuisine. 5/5!

Second review for Journey s cuz today s meal was THAT good! Got an order of ackee and saltfish, asked for the chef to prepare provisions to accompany it and ordered some festival .it was SO good, and it fed myself and my husband for $25! I used to make my own ackee and sailfish and it was good, but doesn t compare to chef Courtney s, so I won t be making it again anytime soon. Chef, you put your foot in this one! Repeat order coming next weekend!

There was a catered event going on when I went down to order take out. Food smelled great! I spoke to the chef and she was very nice and helpful. We looked all over our Hotel room for ordering info for this restaurant that was in the hotel. Youd think there would be a flyer or even a sticker or something directing you to the ordering site online...or even a phone #! Gosh! I had to go down stairs and get menus! Food was good though.

Was looking for carribean food in Milton and I stumbled upon this place thanks to Google. They had great reviews so I had to check it out,.... best decision I made. Food taste great and well presented. They exceeded my expectations.

Really impressed with the authentic Jamaican dishes done by this family owned restaurant. We tried their Jerk Pork as well as Ox-tail and we couldn t stop until our plates were emptied. Definitely returning to try many of their other great dishes. The food presentation was great and the friendly service was even better! Many thanks! Update: Went again today and another mind blowing dinner. What a great way to enjoy this warm Autumn day! (We had cow foot and curry goat - yes, sometimes they have items that are not in the menu! Ask them and they will let you know what s available!)

Recently moved to Milton and my colleague suggested here. What a lovely experience! This is a hidden gem in Milton. Authentic caribbean food and the service was EXCELLENT! Courtney, the owner took the time to come and introduce himself and ask if everything was ok. A huge plus! When he spoke to us, you could hear the passion in his voice. The oxtail, jerk chicken, curry goat and fried snapper delish!!! Cam and the other waitress were really nice. This is my new home away from home restaurant.

Great food, great service and a very faire price

Had an early dinner this Sunday with family, celebrating 3 birthdays. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with smiles and engaged in genuine conversations. While hubby and I have been here several times before, this was a first visit for my mother, mother in law and my sister. The food was fantastic as usual, from the appetizers right down to desert, fruit skewers. Courtney and the staff was extremely accommodating on short notice for 8 of us and treated us like family. Even my 13 year old son who is the pickiest eater, ate his entire meal and commented on how good it was. We love love love the shrimp pasta, the kids loved the wings always, and the moms went all out with oxtail, jerk chicken dinner and hubby absolutely loved his salmon and special salad. Thank you to the entire staff for a wonderful family dinner.

I visited Canada recently from the USA and stumbled upon a little restaurant called Journeys cuisine. Guys, it was more than I expected, I had their lemon ginger salmon and a bean salad. It was everything!! I highly recommend this restaurant. Check them out.

I have heard about Journeys cuisine restaurant in Milton at the Best Western hotel for a few months now, and my mom s birthday is November 29th. My family, & I decided to go to Journeys cuisine to celebrate & check the place out. Wow we were all very impressed with everything! The food, the service, the atmosphere, the ambiance, the light music playing in the background, this place was the complete package! The staff was very friendly, and welcoming! And our server was a Jem , she was very attentive, & pleasant, at one point the chef even came out to check on us to see if we were all ok. All of this really made my mom very happy, & help to make her Birthday celebration even more special! The food at Journeys cuisine was very delicious! We all had several different appetizers, & I had the chicken pasta dish, very good! I must say we were all very pleased! We had a lot of fun at the birthday celebration my family left Journeys cuisine very happy! At first some of my family members said it was too far to go to the restaurant, but at the end they said it was well worth it!

This is a must-try if you are staying in Milton. Spent the night at Best Western and thought about ordering in. Instead I thought I d try the restaurant downstairs in the hotel. So glad I did!!!! Food is amazing. Perfectly seasoned and visually stunning even in the take out container. The staff are very kind and warm, passionate about their food. I had the oxtail, so tender and flavourful. Served with some great hot sauce on a small container, just the right amount of heat. With aromatic rice, and also came with a vibrant green and delicious Kale salad with Mango. 5 stars all the way. Even a cute sticker on the container that made me smile.

Rarely do you get to eat somewhere that such great food, nice ambiance and a great service. This is a gem! I will definitively go back there on my next stop to milton. We were there first thing at 6am in the morning and we got the best service ever. The breakfeast was prepared with care and a lot of efforts and details were made to make what could be a boring dish into a great one!
