Very disappointed as we usually enjoy symposium. Loved the decor and staff was accomodating. However this location failed us badly in cleanliness and food. As my 4 yr old daughter was eating her Mac n cheese, she said ew mom whats this. She came across a black bug inside her food. Looked like a sow bug. I didnt get a chance to take a pic as I couldnt get out of there fast enough. The whole car ride home I just pictured my daughter eating this bug infested mac n cheese and my heart kept sinking and shivering from the image. We didnt eat anything and left. I expected more. Please dont do that to families. It was big enough for your cooks to clearly see.

Fantastic service from Akash. Had some issues with the food but Akash was amazing with solving our issue. Wed come back just for the service!

Fantastic! It was my first time there...met friends for Sunday brunch. It was delicious. I will go back again and would like to try their lunch and dinner menu items as well. Easy to find and lots of parking behind.

I would say this is a much better alternative to a chain like East Side Marios or Kelseys. The waitress was very attentive and was always available when we needed something.

He came to our table after we were there for a hour and said hey we need this table you were told you have to leave by 12 , it was just after 11 am . He proceed to say they had reservations for big party at 12. I called earlier and was told they didn t take reservations on weekends . He could have been nice and say do you think you will be done by 12 we have a big party coming . His approach was unprofessional and rude.

Tried to call this place to place a pick up order and no one answered the phone, then someone picked up and hung up the phone. When I arrived, there were maybe 3 tables and I asked if something was wrong with their phones because I tried calling 3 times. With the response from the manager saying oh yeah when its busy we dont answer. Completely understand that but did not seem busy to me as after the server and manager went to the bar to look at their phones. Aside from that, the pick-up order for the breakfast was fantasic and delicious they really know what they are doing in the kitchen. Front of house needs work!

Ordered seafood pasta. Forgot my mussels on it. Then I found broken shells in my pasta. Manager came over to see how our meal was. I nicely pointed out the broken shells. He never acknowledged my comment but asked my husband if he wanted another beer. NOT A GOOD MANAGER! waiter was nice though. Would I go back? NO

ordered fettuccine alfredo, the chicken was dried out and almost even tasted like turkey.. the sauce was basically water for what there was of it. and the noodles were barely cooked. nasty food. won t be ordering anymore.

Excellent food, ambience, and service. They even provided crayons and coloring sheets for the kids. Since it was my birthday, they even gave us a slice of cake with all the icing and decor to make the day special. Very courteous staff and kids menu is free on Sundays.

My wife and I have always received excellent service (Kyla some months back and most recently Christian). The desserts are delicious.

I ve been to the Woodbridge location of this restaurant and thought I d stop here with my mom and aunt for a brunch date. We ve all been to the Woodbridge location, so we expected this to mirror the quality of food we received there. It did not mirror at all! When we received our food everyone s order was wrong and/or burnt. To top it off there was a strand of hair on my food. We all agreed this location was subpar compared to the Woodbridge to top it all off the prices here seem to be higher ; which is insane! I don t know if these were isolated incidents, but I d rather NOT spend so much money yo find out. Lesson learned.

On Monday, like always, my husband and I had a wonderful experience at Symposium Milton. The staff are always kind, the waitress that helped us, Olivia was very kind and enthusiastic. The manager at this Symposium, Chris is always managing perfectly and is very kind. The food is great and tasty and I love coming here to eat. Service great, food great, and atnosphere great. I would 100% recommend.

Breakfast is borderline pitiful, ordered 3 eggs with choice of protein. Asked for the eggs cooked over medium and asked for turkey sausage. Received pork sausage and the eggs were cooked over hard, yolk was dry and crumbling to the touch. Asked for tomatoes instead of home fries and the tomatoes were yellow/green/unripe.

My siblings and I went for dinner here this week. We ordered drinks, an appetizer, and meals. The server was originally pleasant, but then appeared to be irritated with us for the rest of the evening. We are pretty easy people, and after getting some clarification about the menu we put in our orders so it s not like we needed much assistance. The main reason for my two star review is because two of my siblings ordered the butter chicken poutine which they were both excited about. Both of them had stomach cramps within an hour, and then were sick for the rest of the night, which is really unfortunate.

i had a rough day at work and just needed a drink. Candice was working the bar. she was great. seeing her interact with myself and other customers. althouth constantly running to serve she still checked up on everyone. its something you dont see a lot of these days. it was a real breath of fresh air. shes great

Christian is the guy who serve us dinner at Symposium . He made sure that everything is ok with the food and what else we wanted to enjoy our dinner. He was very attentive to the customers need to the point that he even look out the table when we left and found out my husband cellphone left unattended. Thank you Christian the good service. My mom and I have been customers at Symposium for the last 15 years and the quality and service keep improving every year. But I digress, I wanted to give a special shoutout to two amazing servers at the restaurant: Tim and Marina. Those two are such a delight to be served by and they remember us as customers. Please reward them for their efforts.

warm-cold breakfast and cold bacon, burned on edges French toast. Server was sarcastic towards partner, advised manager food was cold said sorry about 4x and left. Did not comp anything on the bill. $50 for a wrap & salad and cold French toast with bacon. Never again. Unfortunately huge disappointment.

We had brunch as a party of 5 and our server Naveen was so wonderful! He was so friendly to us and was patient with our order customizations. He also promptly exchanged toast that was burnt for me and even apologized which wasn t at all necessary, but shows his integrity. He checked in on us often, and truly provided excellent client service!

Orders came out fairly quick after we placed them. I ordered the chicken club sandwich with fries. Ordered truffle parm fries and dusted calamari. Chicken club: chicken was under seasoned. Bacon thin and i think two short slices were inside. Ciabatta bread was good. Truffle parm fries: im not sure if the dressing they lace on top had truffle in it. The parm was the powder kind.

Something has changed in this restaurant. We were there for dinner last night and the experience was underwhelming. The prices for items on the menu seems to have gone up. The quality of food was below average - chicken tenders were too salty and over fried, rice was a little overcooked, presentation was average. We used to love coming to this place, but not sure if we would go back.

I never regret visiting this location of Symposium. The food is delicious, and their hospitality is out of this world. We visited for my wife s birthday, and they ensured to make her feel special. This little spot in Milton was a great stop. A genuine smile from the hostess at the front door, amazing attentive friendly service from Matt and even the manager stopped in to check on us. Being treated with kindness and professional service nowadays is EXTREMELY rare. Thanks for making our family brunch so enjoyable this morning.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Symposium Restaurant, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. I would love to talk about my experience with Samuel, samuel provided me and my group the upmost support with everything we needed. He was on point and made jokes along the way. It almost makes me want to ask for his number and be friends with sam what a personality he has. We used to eat at this restaurant before we moved away. We tried the Symposium restaurants near our new home but neither the food quality nor the service compared. We were passing through recently so we tried our old favourite. The menu and staff were different but we were happy to observe that the experience was still excellent. These folks care about what they serve and how they serve it. We cannot ask for more.

This restaurant has gone downhill lately. There was a bad smell outside the restaurant and we decided to sit inside. It was very hot, but we werent even offered water (usually they always did)! I ordered Casadilla, Calamari and broccoli and cheese soup. The portion of soup was much smaller than what we had ordered before in this restaurant. Casadilla was served with spoiled salsa. The dishes and cutlery were dirty. There were a lot of annoying flies flying around inside the room. Calamari was served with a terrible smell of ammonia, which I smelled as soon as the order was brought. I didnt even try the dish with the smell, I immediately refused it. The waiter and manager said that it was ok, since it was seafood and they can smell like that and they agreed to return me only 50% of the money for spoiled Calamari). Of course, I said that it was not ok, that seafood with the smell of ammonia cannot be eaten, it is spoiled and harmful to eat and demanded a refund for this dish. The manager began to argue with me for a long time, that seafood and other food ( salsa souse) had undergone food inspection and everything was fine, so they cannot refund my money. Then another restaurant man came and began eat Salsa sauce to show me that it is not poison). I was very angry with such behavior of the restaurant. In the end, after a long argument, they still returned the money for the Calamari, saying that they would have to pay for me. This is the first time in North America that I have encountered such a situation, when they do not want to refund money for an obviously spoiled product! I think this is very impudent! I am very upset that the quality of food and service have deteriorated greatly(. DO NOT GO THERE! SEAFOOD WITH AMMONIA MEANS THAT THE PRODUCT IS SPOILED AND IT IS DANGEROUS TO EAT IT!

This place has gone downhill after ownership change. The place belongs in Brampton. Ordered a chicken Souvlaki dinner, it stated in the menu Herbed rice what came out was plain white rice. When I inquired with the waitress I was told thats the rice it came with, looked at the menu and it said Herbed. Speaking about a diverse work force.. NOT. EVERYONE working in this this place was of south Asian decent. Servers doing homework at the bar, floors as slippery as ice and dirty. The place is garabge. I will never be back.

Came in to meet a friend for breakfast. The breakfast menu has an extensive selection of items. Ended up ordering the veggie omlet, and my friend had the avocado toast. The food was really fresh and extremely tasty. Our server Olivia was beyond accommodating. She helped make helpful suggestions from the menu for my toddler. My little one devoured everything that was ordered. Olivia checked in regularly throughout our stay and made sure our time was as pleasant as it could possibly be. First off, Ive been here many times over the years and always liked it. Today, however, was somewhat disappointing. To begin, the floor was slippery. It left some kind of slippery film on our shoes that we felt while even walking back to our car. The food was ok not great. The calamari was stringy and rubbery. I literally watched the chef pick off the mushrooms from my salad after our server saw he had put them on there.... he missed one. My husband ordered chicken souvlaki. He received plain white rice with it, although the menu said it was served with herbed rice. He mentioned it to our server, and she insisted it always comes with plain white rice. She did give us free fries, which were great. I dont think we will be rushing back here for a while.

I recently visited Symposium Cafe, and as always, it was an outstanding experience. Tims and Akash served us and their professionalism and welcoming demeanor really stood out. We ordered a Margarita, a burger, and wings all of which were fantastic.It was amazing to watch Copa America and spend quality time at this restaurant. Ive been here multiple times before, but I noticed that the management might have changed, as there was a new face supervising and ensuring that customers were leaving satisfied. This place will definitely be my go-to spot for soccer matches. I highly recommend Symposium Cafe and look forward to my next visit!

I took my daughter here for lunch after not eating at this restaurant for a very long time. There are new owners and from what I have heard it was a much needed change. I had the cobb salad and my daughter had an omelet and both were delicious. Honestly, it was probably one of the best cobb salads I have had in a long time.

I think this is probably one of the best breakfast cafés Ive ever eaten. Their hashbrowns were amazing and their staff was very friendly. Definitely my go-to for breakfast.

Service took a while to take our order initially, though we did not flag someone down, I would think someone should come to our table within at least the first 10 mins. It was about 20 minutes before someone came to take our order. Once we did get served though, our server and manager were extremely personable and friendly. I got the flatbread lunch, the flatbread was tasty, but my Caesar salad had quite a bit of wilted pieces of lettuce. Overall the atmosphere was pleasant and we enjoyed our time.

We had a wonderful experience at Symposium Cafe. The food and drinks were excellent, and the service was equally as good.

The rib and chicken meal was too much for 1 person . The chicken wrap full of chicken pieces. Salad was fresh ! Akash was our server and he is very attentive ! Parking: Handicap accessible

Terrible food paid 20$ for literal garbage never eat here again !!

June 1st 3pm visit. Server was not patient or helpful despite the fact we were given a monday to friday menu and a happy hour menu that ended as we sat down. Server very unhelpful and unconcerned over gluten allergy. We opted for breakfast because who can botch that??? Well the scrambled eggs looked old and dry as if they were from a steam tray. Ham darkened like it was refried, bacon crinkled and thin like ready crisp. Food was not hot or fresh. Completely disappointed. The place was quiet, we expected best service possible, took unusually long to bring the meal. Id like to try again but after this fiasco, THIS WILL BE THE FIRST AND LAST TIME WE WILL EAT HERE !!! Dietary restrictions: Mature Female server completely unconcerned and unhelpful regarding dietary allergies. Shrugged off questions, clearly inconvenient for her to have to deal with this subject. Menu has 3 salads and French fries as the only gluten free items. Why theres nothing on a breakfast menu marked as gluten free is a mystery....eggs, bacon, ham, fruit couldnt be identified as safe...????

Very friendly staff and huge space for big groups. Ambiance was great and tidy place. All staff was very professional and helpful. Keep up the smile !

Oh so delicious! We ordered the fresh fruit banana milkshake, Tuscan tomato bean soup, spinach dip and the symposium burger with sautéed mushrooms. Everything was incredible and the service was so nice! Definitely coming back to try the desserts.

Server was good. I should have but I didnt send the food back. Been coming here for years however thats off the list now. Chicken Portuguese was overcooked and barely edible. Fish tacos had less than 2oz pieces in each of the 2 tacos.

Honestly the food was TERRIBLE!!!! I ordered the chicken teriyaki bowl, it was tasteless and drenched I oil. I have never seen something so horrible. The cocktail and service was good. Would not recommend for food but would definitely recommend for cocktails hours.

We came here (Symposium in Milton, ON) for an early (the day before) Mothers Day breakfast with family and as has been the case in the many previous times we have had breakfast or lunch, the food and service was very good. Prices are reasonable, portion sizes very good. All in all a lovely experience.

I ordered Fettuccine Alfredo and Carrot Cake through Uber Eats. As my daughter was eating the Fettuccine, she felt a crack and when she spat out, there were broken hard plastic pieces !! She could have choked on these - naturally we threw the food and will never be eating or ordering from this Cafe. If they cant control what goes into a simple pasta dish, I shudder to think how the complex food will be like.

1. Spinach and mushroom carbonara 2. Teriyaki chicken stir fry bowl 3. (Replacing #2) Chicken melt with salad The server was very good except the follow up perhaps could have been a little faster. Pleasant and helpful. Wasnt very busy as of 8pm but it picked up considerably after 9pm. The food was not good. Our first meals arrived amazingly fast but the quality led me to believe it was some kind of prepared meal or reheat. #1.. no bacon in a carbonara? Not very hot, spinach was mushy, mushrooms glossy kind of like Chinese food garlic sauce. The egg on the carbonara. No parm on the plate or offered. Overall bland taste throughout. #2 .. sticky mess of what was supposed to be distinguishable rice, veg, chicken. Could have served with an ice cream scoop. Bland taste. Cooled quickly. Sent it back. Got .. #3.. salad was decent but a bit oily. Sandwich was supposed to be on a chibatta, not a grocery store hamburg bun. Bun and sauce was flat and mushy. Tiny portion of sauce offering very little of what was supposed to be the highlight flavour. Lettuce that covered most of the plate hanging out of the bun. Hard bit in the final bite of the chicken. Been here for some decent lunches but a big fail for dinner this night.
