Overpriced, cold sandwiches even if you ask for them toasted. Slow service. They can't even make sandwiches correctly. Avoid.
I want to start off by saying, my food was subpar. One sandwich was good and one was the lousiest sandwich we have ever gotten. However, there were a few things that did not settle with me when I arrived. First, I placed the order about 30-40min before I actually arrived and the food wasn't done. There were two employees working with about 4-5 active customers waiting in line. I waited for about 5-10 min and when I found a moment to ask, I asked how much longer my online order would be. The heavier set employee stated that it would be coming up next. That was the least of my worries, it happens. As I was standing there waiting, I hear the next customer in line order a 6” #31 on the menu. He started to say his basic customizations and the employee stated that “Unfortunately, I cant customize that sandwich. My hands are tied with Subway’s new sandwiches. They are stricly forcing customers to get it as is.” Im sorry, but I have NEVER seen a Subway deny a customer their rights to customize a sandwich. Not to mention, that it would lose the opportunity for Subway to upsell the product with extras. Then he finally finished my sandwiches, and handed them to me. I put in the notes on my order that I wanted a side of mayo to go with the sandwich. Not a tub, soup crock, or bag… Just a ramekin of mayo. He said “Since you already placed the order online, I cannot get you the extra side of mayo” I have gotten the same subway sandwich with the same request every single time for the last 2 years at Subways across both Franklin and Chittenden counties and NEVER have been denied a small side if mayo. He then added in “We don't have a whole lot of mayo left anyways”. It was 6:45pm. Regardless of when they close, they should fulfill a customers request. If there was a spot to add extra mayo beyond the “More Mayo” option, I would do it. All in all, it seemed like this individual just didnt want to take the time to do simple tasks. They crumble under any bit of pressure. Worst of all, they lied beyond measure. Even though my sandwiches were made half ok, I will not be back to this location. I will add, the other younger employee was calm, personable, and seemed reasonable. I wish I dealt with him instead.
Went to the subway in Milton,VT this evening and want he to order a subway series sandwich and when I started requesting no onions and wanted to add other veggies I was told you can not customize these sandwiches you have to take them how they come, 2 employees argued with me as i thought that was absurd because some people may have an allergy to an item… they said nope order any of the original sandwiches your way but not the subway series ones. Well I left and went to towns over and ordered it how i wanted it and that location said the Milton,VT location is 100% wrong you can have any sandwich anyway you want.
Today I went into subway with my friend and my son. The owner proceeded to yell at me because I ordered a bacon sandwich but did not want to bread toasted. I told him my child will not eat it if the bread is toasted. He continued yelling at me and accused me of being a “secret shopper” and wanted to get him points off his store. If this is a store policy. I am okay with ordering it a different way, but it is uncalled for a grown man to be screaming at a paying customer especially in front of my small child. Also take it off the option on online ordering if it is a “store policy”. My friend and I go there frequently and we both agreed that they have lost our business.
No problem with subs typically but EVERY TIME without fail, when we order salad, it’s wrong. We’ve decided tonight was the last time we’ll ever get another one from them. Such a disappointment. Have tried calling to rectify the situations and let them know what’s gone on but ‘no one ever answers the phone.’ You wouldn’t care so much if you weren’t PAYING for it, especially additional items that are missed entirely. What a shame.
Not sure what other reviews are talking about, Roger has been very friendly each time we’ve ordered. Milton Subway makes the best sandwiches, it’s always ready when I arrive after ordering on the app. Would go out of my way to pickup at this store vs others.
Didn't accept coupons I received in the mail in the same county. I was advised of the No Coupons policy when paying. Unfortunately, I didn't think of simply leaving and going elsewhere at this point. I did not see any signs saying No Coupons Accepted. Ordered roast beef sandwich. They have a meat slicer but already sliced roast beef from cooler went into my sandwich. I picked out bits of hard crusty roast beef that I couldn't chew from my mouth. Gross. Thankfully, there was no one to impress in store. I did notice one of the workers going above and beyond with customers. He was awesome. Other workers were not.
Went in today and ordered 2 sandwiches. Roger was helping me. Not sure if he is owner or manager??? He was not friendly and had an attitude. When I asked for just my bacon to be heated he said that in the future I would have to have my whole sandwich toasted or not get bacon because people were burning their fingers on it. Instead of training employees let say you can’t have it..when the other employee was finishing my sandwich I asked for onion, green pepper and extra pickles. When the employee put the extra pickles on Roger chewed him out in front of me and said any more then a few pickles needed to be an extra charge. Mind you I only asked for 3 of the 7-10 items that are available! This is not the first time Roger has been unpleasant. It will be a long time before I go back if at all! There are 2 other deli’s with better sandwiches for the same money if not less. If I do go back you can be sure I will ask for every item available and toss what I don’t like.

Stopped in there tonight and ordered a couple of sandwiches....A young kid was working the counter and another guy came out front to help...Had a bad attitude not friendly at all...the young guy was putting veggies on my Sandwich I asked for extra onions and he said NO I cant I said are you serious and he said Yes if my boss comes in and watches the camera and sees me putting Alot on I will be in trouble. I said that is not right I am paying for it. I will NEVER go back there again. But they can put extra mayo on without asking....
My turkey sub was very good just seemed as though manager ignored customers while one employee attempted to make subs for several people .
I was the third person in line I waited 40 minutes and never got a sandwich, two people walked in behind me and also walked out. There were two people working one was an older guy with a long gray beard with no name tag he never served anyone the whole time, the other younger guy made all the sandwiches and checked everyone out. I would have been served either then 40 minutes but gray beard was barking orders at the young guy to make over 8 sandwiches that were called in, what made me mad was that they came in wile I was there waiting and not only cut the line but were made president over real people waiting for sandwiches. All said it was bad business and I hope the owner sees this comment!

During the week never a complaint dont bother on the weekends my Sub was taken out before it was toasted then didnt even put it in a bag with napkins and wasnt even cut in half... again during the week great
Went two weeks ago didn t get my cookies I was like whatever. Got a chicken bacon ranch sandwich today, they gave me a rotisserie chicken and it didn t even have bacon
Veggies are fresh, sandwiches are made quickly, correct ingredients, good service! However, I could see through the cheese slices, theyre so thin. There was such a small amount of turkey, I couldnt taste it at all.
Milton Subway was crazy. I went there to order four subs and only two of them they had some of the stuff for. They didnt have any tomato wraps any avocado any anything. Very disappointed in that. The boys who are working in the Milton Subway said it was their supervisor manager that doesnt know how to order.
I truly enjoy subway. Everything is made fresh right in front of you without delay. The staff were very friendly. The shop itself was quite clean. It was a very positive experience.
Great monster sandwich. There was a sign on door coming in stating they did not accept discount Subway coupons. The manager said they did not make any money on coupons. They do not offer any type of senior discount. So if you receive Subway advertisements for food specials, you cannot use them at the Milton, VT Subway.
Always friendly, always helpful. Everyone seems to know how to make everything, unlike some other subways in the area. Would definitely recommend Milton Subway if youre looking for lunch or dinner.

Absolute waste of time. Special instructions are entered online (and print on receipt) but are ignored. It s a simple instruction of crispy bacon but every time is anything but crispy. AVOID!!!!

Worse foot long sandwiches Ive had before. I ordered an Italian bmt with extra mayo and cheese and a chicken ranch and bacon. The sandwich had no extras on it and all you could see was a thin line of vegetables when you looked fat it by the side. And as for the chicken ranch and bacon. I had like 8 small cubes of chicken hardly any bacon or ranch. Very poor quality. And when I asked about a promo, free foot long if you buy 2. The guy says he doesnt do the promos because he has too many coupons out to do both. Uhhh the promos is what draws people in and dont skim on meat etc. Because we can go anywhere else for a lousy sandwich at a better price. Totally unhappy and will never go back.
Most of the staff are great. One guy is so rude and has no personal skills with people. Literally hate going when he s working.

Sandwiches are standard Subway. Theyre okay but not mind blowing. Plenty of options for toppings. Lowering my score as I found on Saturday theyve ditched online ordering. Online ordering has been a huge help on days Ive cared for an elderly parent and then made the 40 minute drive home. Waiting in line just isnt appealing at that point.

These guys are amazing. My Dad comes and visits my family every Thursday and likes to bring us dinner. We always order from here. We call ahead so my Dad can just pick up the food and they are just wonderful to us and him. We are so thankful for that. Not only is their customer service amazing, but so is there food. The owner here is very kind. I came in with 3 coupons and I wanted to use them all on one order. Usually coupons say you can only use one at a time, but these didnt say that. The owner came to the register and said to his employee shes right she can use them all then he went on to help process my order. The subs were great too.

When you are open until 9 and someone walks in at 7:30you really should have more then just three 6 inch rolls to offer. What the hell you sell for the next hour and a half.

I went in to get a sub. This kid behind the counter had on a filthy hat. He put gloves on and kept touching his filthy hat while making my sub. I asked him to start over with clean gloves and to not touch that filthy hat. I have not been back there. Are there no adults in charge of these young people to monitor the place?

I just had the most pleasant experience at the Subway in Milton. The guy who made my sandwich was very friendly and even offered to put less onions on my boyfriend sandwich to benefit me later =) The girl who cashed me out complemented my manicure and they both wished me a great day. Its the simple things that make this experience so much better than any other subway Ive ever been to. I only wish I had remembered their names so that I could call them out personally here for being great at what they do

They are lucky they are even getting a 1. If it could be a .5 or less than thats what it would be. Now, this rating doesnt reflect the workers, well to some degree it does as they rae the ones that apparently arent keepin food refrigeratored properly or something. Someone there isnt doing their job. The job folks Im referring to is food management/prep/whatever the case may be. So why a 1 or .05 or less, yes folks I got food poisoning and so did my partner. She got it from one end. I had the joy of throwing up ALL night and in the am (had to go to ER for fluids). I know it was food poisoning as Ive had it before and it (The symptoms projected themselves as they had before and my partner of 16 yrs told me that she thought the meat looked weird and something else, kinda wish she had said something earlier.. LoL! Not funny but wanted to break up this awfulness. So, FOLKS...DO NOT EAT AT THIS SUBWAY IN MILTON PLEASE. I have called that Subway and I plan on taking it further. If I had a way to do less stars I would. I sent my husband there to get me a sub. They threw the sandwich together with no care then without even asking toasted it. My husband not knowing thought thats how it was made. The fact that they took little to no care in putting it together and just made assumptions on how to make it I wasted my money on a sandwich that shouldnt have been hot anyway. Never going here again
Sandwiches are always thrown together. When youre asking for toppings on your sandwich you should probably ask for extra lettuce to actually get enough to cover your sandwich. Not to mention it is a bunch of young kids who act as though they could care less about being there helping you. We live in Milton and have on several occasions traveled to Essex to get Subway in effort to avoid this one!
