This is my second time ordering from Empire Wok (1st time was a lunch special). I ordered lemon chicken, breaded shrimp & sweet & sour spare ribs. Although the food quality seems decent, it is ruined by the rancid oils they are using to fry the food or perhaps they are reusing oil that is too old & should be replaced more often. Unfortunately, we fell ill after eating the dinner we ordered & we were disappointed after spending $40 on this meal. I would consider retrying Empire Wok if they improve their cooking methods by replacing the rancid oils they are using. Also, the spare ribs did not have any bones; it seems to be rib tips with a hard cartilage in the pieces. I would suggest updating the menu item to specify rib tips.

Had the worst experience in this location. When in wearing a mask My order for three combos $55 which I thought was a little pricey. Was told to wait 10 mins which I had no problem while s at a sing outside near my vehicle. I was approached by a much older man who came very close to my face because I wasn t wearing a mask yet I m outside. Not even near the store!!! He harassed me for a while until I decided to call the police and than the owner while watching The whole incident happen decided not to let me in the store to grab my food. I had done nothing incorrect or wrong was respectful and wore a mask pair my bill and instead of helping a WOMEN who is being attacked in your location you did nothing and decided to bring my food out as if I had done something wrong. Worst experience food not even worth it. And the owner is a (excuse my language) a coward like the gentleman who harassed me for absolutely no reason. Please think twice before supporting individuals like these.

The food is good, but the service and price is ridiculous. The person taking the order rushes you and then gives you the wrong order. I ordered chicken I got beef, I dont eat beef! This has happened 3 times now. Ive noticed the new menu is never the price they charge you when ordering. Every week the price changes to their liking, going UP not down. I dont mind paying for my good, be fair and give the right order, dont rush me!

Oh My God... save yourself and dont order. Worst Chinese food I have ever had in 36 years. Chicken balls are shaped like chicken tenders or bits, Sweet and sour sauce tastes like it came from an old rusty tin, (woke in the middle of the night and mouth tasted like metal again alonf with a sodium headache) They use old grease so anything deep fried is dark brown. Had 80% left over and always look forward to left overs of cold chinese food. We threw this stuff out. We will never go back

Really fast service whether you call or walk in. Always delicious love their mein feng, ho feng and the mixed vegetables are to die for! Serving size is a large 2 portions for each item. I always have leftovers. Would recommend!

I ordered seseme chicken, was around $20...Chicken was hard to chew and had to spit parts out, rice tasted like the plastic and wasnt enough sauce to put the rice in and i got very little amount of broccoli. I use to enjoy this place few years ago but now i wont be going back.

We decided last minute to order Chinese for New Year s Eve so we attempted to call, clearly they were swamped as to be expected so we drove over and placed our order. The staff serving us was friendly and helpful with our order even though they were extremely busy. Given the current circumstances and restrictions with COVID the team here did an excellent job handling all of their orders and ensuring good tasting, fresh food. Thanks for all of your hard work last night you all did a great job under pressure and we will be happy to return next year.

My fiancé and I have always enjoyed our favourite Chinese dishes from Empire Wok. This was no different on New Years Eve. We lined up outside first for a short while around 4pm. Once we were able to go inside to order, as it was 5 customer maximum, they were happy to take our order even though it was clear how busy their kitchen was. They told us it was about 40mins wait - no problem. We returned 50 mins later and they said about another 10-15 minutes. Not a worry. We waited outside so other customers could go inside to pick up their dinner orders. By this time, the outdoor lineup was quite long and they also had a group of people, like us, waiting off to the side waiting for the young lady to call out our order #s that they provided. Given it s probably their busiest night of the year for food orders, we feel they did an amazing job - each and every single person worked so hard and we thank you for our hot and delicious NYE meals. It was perfect while watching the Team Canada hockey team win another game. During a pandemic and a second lockdown, probably being their first tome handling customers and orders at this capacity - well done Empire Wok!!

The vegetarian dishes are good. The meat had a funny taste so I wouldn t order the meat dishes again.

The worst food ever.veg rice and spicy noodles went straight into garbage. 40 min wait for stale , tastesless, barely warm food. Will not order from there ever again.

Order schezuan shrimp (supposed to be spicy) and I got sweet and sour shrimp with no heat. Call the restaurant and he says our schezuan is sweet and no heat....really omg first time and last time here. ZERO RATING

Called to ask a few questions and I felt like I was a burden. First she told me that the don t deliver when it clearly says they do on google. And then I asked if the had any gluten free options and she aggressively said no like I was a bother !! Not very friendly!! Left a bad taste in my mouth and I didn t even get to taste the food !!

This restaurant deserves a WAY higher rating-even more so NOW!!! Pre-pandemic I was just looking for a decent spot for good Chinese food. I had tried this once prior and totally enjoyed it:) But during the pandemic, I always seemed to default to the delivery apps - they werent there. SO - I tried others...not gonna mention the others becuz I am not here to fight. BUT, Ive literally thrown out full delivery meals from places that are rated higher. So whats different? The food just tastes better! ZERO weird aftertaste, fresh and crispy vegetables (vs.limpt/sogey) and the BEST honey garlic spare ribs Ive ever tasted! AND when you order from them directly....NO hiked up delivery costs from delivery apps. Its a WIN/WIN:)

Had the chicken wings lunch special. Everything tasted fresh and flavourful and was made in a reasonable time frame! I ve had similar meals at 2 other local Chinese restaurants and Empire Wok wins.

This used to be our go to place for Chinese takeout. The food is pretty good and reasonably priced. The last time I called the lady who took our order was so incredibly rude and inpatient. I thought maybe she was new but after looking at these other reviews I can see she has been a problem for years.

Lady who answers the phone has no manners. Quite rude and pushy. You are in the service business and you need to treat your customers with respect.

Its okay, but their recipes arent close to authentic, i could have made it and that says a lot. I ordered Shanghai noodles and they gave me Cantonese noodles and just dressed it in red chilis. Their fried rice tasted like jeweled rice or no flavour biryani rice. Their egg roll wasnt that great. Its okay, its just not what I expected. The quality sucks.

Quality has gone down and we have since stopped going here; I also hate the stinginess with chopsticks and hot sauce. If you dont want anyone asking for it, dont have it all. We go to Gold City or Mr Dumpling now.

No matter what you order, it always seems to take 10 min, which is a good thing. Food tastes great, large selection, which is usual for Chinese take out. Four stars due to the pricing, just a tad bit high in comparison to China Star. Place is pretty clean.

Its not the greatest, but its good. The price is good and the food is consistent. Never had bad service here like the other reviews say. But I also dont require much when I go in. I just order the meal I want and dont substitute anything. So not sure if thats why. Theyre always quick and Ive always received the right meal.

After my last order at this place I will never buy from this place again. The call I made for pick up was a very disappointing experience, lady on the phone was rude and not helpful. When asked to explain about a menu item she just try to change the conversation to another item in my order. I really wanted to hang up but I already told my colleagues thaf we were having Chinese food for lunch. Pick up was onn time. But lady at the front, didnt even make eye contact like she was already mad at something and shout the price of the order. I payed and leave. I brought the food to work flavour was ok. My boss found a long black hair jn his share of the meal. Empire wok never again!

Bland food, poor quality ingredients. I have picked up three times from these guys. Ordered dinner for 4 and chicken dishes tasted the same because they all use the same sauce and ingredients, but one was slightly spicy. The cheapest tasting egg rolls Ive ever eaten. This is not good food.

Tonight was my last time to ever order from Empire Wok. This was the third time in a row that they screwed up our order. So we will not be returning there again. Will be trying out another Chinese Restaurant from now on. We had been goin here for years and enjoyed the food til they screwed it up. Oh well another restaurant can start having our business!

Some of the workers are a little rude but with a bit of a language barrier I didnt really care. Also, food is delicious! General Tso especially (from lunch menu). Youll walk away clutching your gut from the vast portions but its all worth it for the flavour!!!

Empire Wok has always been a great place for chinese food since I started going there back in 2007 or 2008. Today my order was General Tsos chicken, lemon chicken, steak and snow peas, vegetable chop suey and 2 orders of steamed rice. Took less than 30 minutes to deliver to my house, the price was reasonabe and service was good.

Really poor quality wontons and over cooked chicken wings to the point where we could barely eat it and the wonton soup seemed watered down alot

Horrible Service . So Rude. I went in and I asked a simple question , I said what is popular on your menu?, and the lady raised her voice and said, I dont know what you want! , then continued to text on her phone and ignored me. Yuck! One of the worst places I ever ate at.

I have ordered here many times and usually spoke to a very nice girl, however this time I got the terrible pleasure of speaking to a lady who was clearly very annoyed and VERY rude that I was calling to place a delivery order. Just for that reason I would rather take my business to someone who appreciates it!
