Good food, prices, and service

Ordered $200 worth of fajitas and got barely any vegetables; lettuce, tomatoes as well as hardly any cheese. Wasn t enough for most of the folks to put anything on their very very small fajita wraps. Btw was so small couldn t even close the wrap and never mind put hardly any fixings on the wrap because each one was the size of my palm. Queso was half the size it was when I ordered same amount a few months back. Less chicken and less steak! Getting cheaper cheaper Lonestar! How can you justify the amount you charge when every time we get less and less and you charge more and more! Paid way too much yet again for nothing!

The most unbelievably mid experience Ive had in a while. It was slow to seat us. It was slow to take our order. Our drinks arrived then we waited another 10 minutes for the chips and salsa to arrive. Eventually our entrees arrived. As expected, my fajitas were good. My Daughter said her quesadilla was good but the fries left a lot to be desired. Shes also still waiting for the water she ordered. I used to be a big, big fan of the Lonestar but I feel like theyve taken a few steps back both in service and food quality.

The staff was amazing and highly recommend Paisley, stellar service. The table side guac is next level.

Our recent take out family meal chicken fajitas was good but expensive and the peppers and onions that came with the chicken was minimal. Hardly anything. Very disappointing and honestly can t afford the price increase anymore. Thank goodness we didn t dine in and could at least save tipping

I got take out Nov 10.2024 & waited almost an hour for my food. One girl at the counter told me it would only be 2 minutes and disappeared into the back when I got there at the 30 minute mark. I waited there for another 20 minutes for someone else to show up. The food was cold. Go to a different location

The place is cozy and familiar. The server was friendly and efficient. Everyone in our group ordered beef or chicken in different dishes, and everything was perfect and delicious!

Walked in at 7:30 PM on a Sunday night waited Forty five minutes for a takeout order for 3. We enter to a near empty restaurant. Ordering 2 fajitas and a burger. The food was sub par and the fajitas were build your own. Not impressed

Disappointing service

The food at Lone Star is very good. My wife and I love their steak fajitas, the tortilla chips and salsa and the unlimited fresh tortillas. The service was not good. It took a while to get our order taken, for the food to arrive and for the server to check in on us. I had to reach out to other servers for help.

Great fast service . food was great . had taco bowl which was awesome but too much for me . so 2 people could share . lovely time .staff on their toes .

Such an ignorant staff. They should respect all people. I was there for to pick up the Uber order, when I entered I smiled, and I think he was the manager he asked so rudely Uber 5min I was like ok, waited there for 10min no one bothered to ask or come by to check. I ve seen one server she was ignoring me. Like come on respect every one we all are doing our job. They don t even deserve even one start I did not have any choice I have to give. Pathetic service.

We ve been going to this location for several years and we had good experiences. The past 2 years, they ve gone downhill and keep going lower. Servers no longer greet you with fun, made up names, portion sizes have decreased along with food quality. And wait times to receive food whether busy or not are increasing. The last 2 visits we waited an hour to receive our food even after checking on its status. Our children like the atmosphere and the TV s in the bar, which is why we kept going but at our last visit 2 weeks ago, we vowed we d never return. COVID is long over so can t use that as an excuse for the poor service and low food quality.

Service was extremely friendly and accommodating. Smiles. Making an impression and made feel welcome. Had the smashed guac made table side, and the TAQUITOS Vegetarian. The Taquitos are an experience. Both highly recommended.

I came here for my birthday on tuesday, what a disappointment. the restaurant wasnt even busy we were the only ones pretty much there around 6 pm. The service was so slow, the promo for $6 tacos was such a waste they were so small, i could of got a bigger taco from taco bell for half the price. We wanted to try their margaritas and they were so sour you couldnt taste anything else but that. We asked the waitress if they do anything for a birthday and she flat out said no we dont, said it is not that kind of restaurant, but yet when i looked online it fully said they do when i showed it to her she was like ohhhh well i guess they changed it and brought some apple pie that was sizzled and it was so horrible, the ice cream was melted completely, the caramel was all burned and stuck to your mouth. To say the least, we will never return here again. This place used to be so good and ever since covid it has gone downhill completely save your money and go somewhere where you dont spend $120 bucks and still be hungry.

Good place for family group celebrations. Menu is mostly limited to tex-mex food, few alternative options. Our server was GREAT!

We went on a Monday to celebrate my Sons graduation. The person who took our order did just that and no more! The individual who delivered the food had the tray around her shoulder and her hair falling INTO our food. I was so disgusted. When I brought it to the managers attention, he showed no interest and other than checking the kitchen for our order, he also did nothing more than that, which probably explains the lackadaisical attitude. No one asked if we wanted more drinks, no one brought ketchup for our DRY BURGERS...what a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE for over $159.00 (with a side of hair!)

Wrong request and cold food after 45m waiting

I came to this place before I wouldn t say it was great but it was ok but the last time I came in there portion where so small and expensive and not worth the money we paid honestly with what we got and the prices we could have went to THE KEG I wouldn t visit again

The food was so bad I Asked for a medium rare and I got a small Not 7oz Hocky Puck. My husband asked for a 7oz Blue steak & got a medium idk what.. Really disappointed that it doesnt fall on the servers, waiters and or front of house staff. This is a message for the KITCHEN...... Been looking forward to this place, Have been strolling past this place for a while. The Only GREAT Item I got on the menu was the Frys They was fresh and perfect.... really sad that was the only item that was great. we are disappointed really with the kitchen staff that cooked our meal...

Was extremely disappointed with this experience at this restaurant. Food and service was not worth the money at all. We got the fajitas. The cheese was dried up pellets that looked like carrots. The rice tasted like it was a day old and dry. The kids burgers were small dried up burnt burgers. Service was extremely slow. The whole experience was just over 2 hours and we just couldn t find our server to get things moving. Ended the experience going to the bathroom that was pretty gross. The urinals were so dirty. No soap in one of the two dispensers. Only good thing was the Mexican bulldog drink we got, but even that was $18! Sorry for the bad review, but it was not worth the money at all for the quality and service.

First time to Lonestar we won a gift card. Food was ok, the ribs were not as expected and we were so floored by the overwhelming response we got to our question/complaint. Not only was our food remade it was taken off the bill. Super surprising customer service, we will definitely be back.

Went for lunch with 4 guys from work. The kitchen were obviously having problems. First half the orders came out in 30 minutes. These orders were eaten before the second round arrived. They service was very poor. They did deduct 1/2 of one plate and 100% of the other plate that came very late. Saw this was happing to other tables too. Has potential but needs work.

Went to Lone Star Milton tonight for dinner. Montana was our server. She was wonderful! Vey friendly! Her table side guacamole was delicious! Our daughter loved it!

Not much available off the menu for vegan options. I had to specifically ask for a veg only fajita as the only options listed include animal based protein. Our server was wonderful though and very friendly. The food tasted great. Just not recommended for vegans. Dietary restrictions: No realt vegan options.

I think its whiskey who caters to our little ones needs. Much appreciated Always a pleasure and great drink menu. The whole staff always takes care of our family. Update: Their Patio is madly underrated.

We had guacamole made at the table which was very good. The food is always good. We had tacos. Drinks are excellent.

These candy margarita flights are honestally the most delicious margaritas Ive had.....I drank one so quickly that I got brain freeze. We also ordered a burrito and chimichanga, and both were very yummy. The service was wonderful as well. We had a lovely dinner and cant wait to return again

Had a new to us server tonight, Ameretto. What a server. She was fast, efficient. Always kept my cup full of water. And I didn t have to try and track her down. There was an error with my meal because of the kitchen didn t read the request and our server corrected it right away. It s not often you run into such an awesome server. She will be my requested server!!

Food was barely ok. Skip the queso. Had to remind the server about the chips and salsa. Also, skip the margarita and just order the fountain minutemaid lemonade. It probably has the same amount of alcohol. We were left in a corner and forgotten, no refills, except when food was dropped off. The salsa for the chips was really good.

Disappointing experience. We were there for 2 hours. Everything took forever. Server disappeared for about 40 mins. Another server came over and said the kitchen was backed up and refilled our drinks. Manager table checked the table next to us and then left.....our server finally appeared. I asked her how much longer as we were ready to leave. Food came out 5 mins later. Server disappeared again. Had to ask for takeout boxes. Waited......this our 3rd bad visit this year. Time for a break.

Really good atmosphere and very nice inside! They are friendly as well. I do things during their peak hours probably because a lot of people order fajitas that not everybody s comes out sizzling hot, which I feel like it should. Unfortunately ours were sizzling hot. They were more warm but we still had a nice time.

They have gator bites!! I have never eaten gator before especially seeing it this far North. It was good I really mean it..I was a bit apprehensive about trying it but just had to so I could say I did. Yup I will order them again for sure.

I feel like the quality of this place is starting to go down. I did t like the upsell of the guacamole mix. I get it the servers are probably told to offer it. I think there is a fine line between respectful and insisting. I also notice the prices increased. I get it inflation. Portion of my Tres fajitas was also pretty limited. I got it for myself my son and my dad. It was sizzling hot but more room temp. Might be awhile before I head back.

Ordered fajitas for two. Meal came out just warm. No sizzle. The fajita platter had minimal flavour. Sampled the chicken and beef by itself - wouldn t have guessed I ordered a fajitas platter, as it was lacking that mesquite flavour. Portion was very slim for $30+ per platter.

Was there yesterday food was gross Spent $70. Biggest waste of money ever The chicken fingers were small and dry as dust and one little scoop of mash potatoes, and the quesadilla was so small and barely had any meat in it. I got fries as the side. There were about 18 small little fries, it was a joke I thought . Also the main dishes came out first and then the appetizer about 4 mins later. Thats not how that works lol Im sorry I made the suggestion to my girlfriend to eat there. Such a waste of money and we had to go to Wendys after to get food because we were still hungry . Save your money go somewhere else !!!

Visited Milton today and had an great experience. The server was excellent and was attentive even with a busy dining area. Always a favorite place to go.

The restaurant and server were nice, but the food I ordered was bland and the chicken my daughter had a weird texture. The prices are completely bonkers for what you get.

I really love their fajitas and always get the flour tortillas. Others at my table got corn tortillas and said the taste wasnt good and they fell apart. Service was really good! Dietary restrictions: My MIL was really happy with the gluten free option.

Food came out Hot and Delicious 10/10 (Nashville Sandwich) My wife is in love with their Mojito Drink...and that was a perfect 10 according to her. Thank You Peaches!.. for a perfect evening out...

As a whole most restaurants have done down hill since COVID. Lone star use to be my fav go-to but last few trips it has never impressed like it did years ago.

First time at the Milton location.. Super friendly staff. Our server was a really nice young man. We had the alligator bites, chicken enchiladas and two 7oz steaks. The alligator bites were nice but the portions could have been a bit bigger for the price. The steaks were cooked very well and seasoned to perfection. The enchiladas were okay. The Texas mule and the Texas tea were both great drinks. Enjoyed our dinner here.. Definitely a place to return to in the near future. Edit: visited again last night.... Service was average and the server barely came to check on us...l wanted a beer refill and she never came to ask us so I skipped. Worst brisket sandwich I have ever tasted. Absolutely terrible. It was dry and more like shredded beef than a well cooked brisket. The sauce tasted burnt as well... The garlic butter broccoli was just steamed broccoli with no hint of garlic or butter. We asked for a medium rare steak and it was served well done... The tortillas for the fajitas were so thick and not evenly cooked...

We were brought to our table and a little pile of garbage was right there we had to watch we didnt step in then we waited over ten minutes to be asked if we wanted drinks. Look Im not fussy but when you spend 150$ tip included with that I expect good service thankfully our server was good he was really good and saved the day lone star wish I could remember his name. The Rib steak could have been a little more charred and done. The hostess needs to pick up her game and make sure the floor is clean before she seats people and maybe ask if people need a drink or send someone within a few minutes 10 to 15 minute wait is not acceptable when youre paying that much. For a few dollars more well be going to the Keg next time.

Food was good. A little pricy for lunch for 4, was $130 + tip. But 2 of us had an appetizer and a main. We had Deep fried pickles and onion rings for apps. The mains were a steak quesadilla, a chicken wrap and 3 chicken tacos with a Ceasar salad. To drink, we had 2 iced teas and 2 medium draft beer. The service was good.

After a busy day in Toronto we stopped here after 9pm for dinner. Whilst initially it took a while to get served (not busy) was worth the wait! Food enjoyed by all 4 of my party. Cool Interior and everything we wanted it to be.

Party of 8, missed an order, food was either bland or too salty. Fajitas, quesadilla, Cajun chicken tacos, and kids meals. Not what we remember from this opening years ago. Not returning.

Fajitas didnt come out sizzling (like some other tables and like at every other restaurant) and chicken was dried out. Quesadilla is covered in salt????complexly overpowering. Had to ask for cutlery (again) AFTER the food was delivered to the table. The wrong side came out with the kids meal, but the orders are entered by the server while at the table into a tablet, so where does the fault lay. Margaritas and lemonade is good though.

After a few bad experiences, we took a break from this restaurant. We gave it another shot, and wow are we glad we did. Not sure if a change in management or leadership has occured, but tonight was fantastic. Great food, served with near perfect timing. Service was amazing. Ask for Bourban!! Great job to whomever has had such a positive effect. I highly recommend giving them a try.

I have never walked out of a restaurant, but had to today due to no server even acknowledging even us for 20-25 minutes . We sat down exactly same time as the table next to us. They got their drinks, apps and main while the server ignored us. We had a toddler and even asked the person that sat us to see if we can have someone help us but NOPE! Never have been this disappointed. Will not be returning to this location.

The food was amazing and it came out very fast. We came in during rush time on Saturday and despite the 20 other people that were also waiting to be sat, Luna was incredibly attentive and kind, made my daughter laugh, and was able to get everyone in almost immediately despite how busy they were. Best customer service I ve seen in a very long time. We will absolutely be returning 10/10.

Food was amazing and has no issues until it was time to pay. Was overcharged for my drink, and was told they couldnt change the price because I drank it already, even though the server admitted it was her fault....asked for a manger and they finally changed it. There was also a group sitting behind us and the server dropped 2 entire meals on the floor. The rest of the party got their food and was eating. They best the restaurant did was a visit from the manger and give them their side of fries for free. Very disappointing with how the customer service is at this location.

Great place to eat we love it. My only complaint is the fajita steak should be cut across the grain. It really makes a difference. Usually not a problem but this happened twice now. Please correct that or train new guys to do so. Love this place Thx

Great place and value driven. Steak was as actually better than the Keg the night before at a 2/3 the price. Honest and great staff. Forgot my briefcase and they were fantastic about setting aside for me the next day. Ace was kind enough to take my call after hours and secure it for me. Big shout out to a great group of people. Came on the weekend after a trip to St. JACOBS. It was fairly quiet which was good. We had a great waitress who was attentive and patient with us. Food was great as usual. We ordered fajitas for two. MIL ordered shrimp Taco which she found spicy but it wasnt. Our friend ordered a Taco bowl...he wasnt bowled over by it, said it was just ok. We ordered calamari and anijitos as well. Wine, beer and cocktail rounded out our lunches. I wasnt expecting it they sang happy birthday for me. My husband was told thats it...thats all they do now just sing you happy birthday. No more free dessert or treat. A bit disappointing for sure that part but the staff were enthusiastic so that was ok. Plenty of parking outside. The washrooms were clean as well. Definitely coming back

Absolutely tasteless. Have not been since before covid. Used to love their fajitas, now they are no longer served on a hot skillet, zero seasoning, and the chicken tasted like processed meat. Horrible. Music was so loud you could jot have a normal conversation. Never again.

Lone Star s Milton location is the definition of 5 stars. From the super friendly staff (Bambi and Wild Card) to the amazing food, this is the location to go to!!

Loved this place for its ambience. They had some margarita fest going on and we tried a few from their menu. Personally, Im a big margarita fan and I loved them at Markham location but here it felt not up to the mark. The alcohol content was low and it appeared like a sweet mocktail rather than a good margarita. Also I ordered a veg fajita salad bowl but the fajita felt really dull and soggy.

Specifically for the Milton Location. Good service. The owners greeted people and checked in on things, clean, fast food. Look its chain food, so what can you say but was hot and not too greasy and the kids ate it. My only suggestion is to have non-alcoholic beer for those of us who have to drive kids home. Otherwise it was an enjoyable visit

Ive always ordered via Uber, so decided to dine in today. Place was clean and has a nice Texan vibe. Our server was great. Steak wasnt cooked the way I wanted, but they went ahead to replace it and took it off my bill. Guac and nachos was perfection. Same with their sides and pickled slaw. I also love their Frankies curly fries. Highly recommend. Will def be coming back.

A little pricey for what you get. You now have to go out of your way and ask for chips and salsa, but they don t tell you that. For the time of day (Sunday 1230) it was slow service. Beans were cold and under cooked but overall the flavour was good.

This is my second time visiting a lone star and probably my last. The food was not the greatest for what you pay for. The nachos were alright, I would remove the lettuce though. We asked for extra sour cream, because what was that tiny portion in the middle? But the portion you get is not worth the amount they are charging you. The fajitas were ok, was not a fan of the tortillas. Definitely lacking a lot of flavour. Service was good though.

Lone Star used to be a great place to go for great food, great service and a great time, portions used to be huge, now portions that come to the table seem like a business trying to penny pinch, taste is very different and service has fallen to way below average, it s sad to see another great place destroyed by becoming so commercial.

First time at this location and it was EXCELLENT! The service level from the manager at the front desk, to the friendly young man who seated us, to our lovely server Dixie, and even the lovely young woman who brought our food . they were all extremely friendly and efficient. The decor is great and the food was delicious. We usually visit a location closer to us, but have been disappointed with it for a while, so we will definitely return to the Milton location.

Ordered take out. I have celiac disease and have safely eaten here many times. Order fajitas and they are good alternative to cooking. Manager even called to ensure safety. Great service! I also react to less than 20 ppm for those with celiac. Make sure instructions are clear. They do a great job of following messages non the take order. Thank you Lone star. Service was kind of slow, but understaffed like most places. But, there was no manager to be seen doing table checks, helping, etc. Not sure if they even have one. Parking: Milton

I recently dined at this restaurant location and my experience was disappointing. First, the service was delayed. We waited for over an hour to be served our food, and it wasnt because the restaurant was busy. Second, they had run out of Bud Light beer, which was the beer on special. Third, When our food finally arrived, we ordered wings, as they were on special. However, two of the wings were undercooked, which is a serious concern for food safety. Fortunately, the manager was responsive to our concern and took the 10 of the 50 wings off our bill. I appreciate their willingness to rectify the situation. On a more positive note, the staff members were friendly and accommodating. They maintained a pleasant attitude throughout the service, which helped ease some of our frustrations. Overall , despite the friendly staff, I am hesitant to return to this restaurant. The exceptionally long wait, limited drink options, and undercooked food have left a lasting impression that overshadows the positives. While the managers response to the undercooked wings was appreciated, it wasnt enough to make up for the overall disappointing experience.

We went on a Tuesday evening before a movie. Service was ok. We all ordered chicken fajitas. Several different people brought out the food which was odd. The chicken was bland, the rice was hard and crunchy, the pico looked liked it had been sitting out all day and every was just blah in flavour. It wasn t cheap but the food quality sure was.

We had an amazing dinner here for our first visit. Came to celebrate my birthday with 2 young kids. Very friendly and fast service which is always great when trying to dine with kids. Food and dessert was seriously amazing, so good. Atmosphere was great. Very clean. And the manager was outstanding. We ll be coming back often! Good service but portions are small and prices are VERY expensive. Paid close to $50 for a fajitas bowl and pop with tip. Food was good but like $15-20 good. Disappointed with prices across the menu for mediocre food and portions. Probably won t be coming back

I appreciated sitting down at a table that was already cleaned before I got there. The menu had plenty of great options. The food came relatively quickly and the order was correct. The atmosphere was interesting enough but if youve been to one lonestar you have been to all of them. Our servers were polite and attentive.

I ordered the chicken grilled fajitas, and got exactly what I ordered! Great food, the staff are friendly and know what theyre doing, and the music is great. Theyve also got a decently sized menu, so itll have what you want. 5 stars, been here a ton, will continue to do so. Kid-friendliness: Great kids menu and theyll sometimes let the kids play with fajita dough.

I would have to say nothing makes my day better than coming into this lonestar. I recently stopped by for some wings and a beer and was very pleased with my visit. Bambi was the best server I ve ever had, she was extremely nice and understanding with my order and made sure I had everything I needed. She delivered my food fast and beyond my expectations. I would 100% be returning in the future.

I had the pleasure of trying the Grilled Chicken Enchilada, which was a delightful mix of bold flavors and tender chicken wrapped in a soft tortilla, all smothered in a deliciously seasoned sauce. It was a dish that truly captured the essence of Tex-Mex cuisine, with every bite more satisfying than the last. Equally impressive was the Bowl with Grilled Chicken. Served in an innovative and crispy taco shell bowl, it was not only a feast for the eyes but also for the palate. The chicken was perfectly grilled juicy and flavorful and the combination of fresh ingredients in the bowl made for a harmonious blend of tastes and textures. Plus, the fun of munching on the taco shell bowl added a playful twist to the meal. As if the food wasnt enough to win me over, I had the chance to witness their in-house fresh chips being made with their very own machine. Its always a treat to see where the magic happens, and those chips were nothing short of magical a perfect companion to their salsa. In summary, Lone Star Texas Grill exceeded all expectations with their delicious food, pristine environment, and top-notch service. Its a place I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an authentic Tex-Mex experience. I loved everything about my visit and Im already looking forward to my next meal here!
