This place is a hidden gem. Totally wasn't expecting the food to be so fabulous and with reasonable prices and smiling service, what more could you ask for. Check them out. You won't be disappointed.
We wanted to support a local restaurant and try this place out. We were seated for 15 minutes without receiving even a coffee or having our order being taken. While all the servers were chitchatting at the counter completely ignoring us to serve us. We walked out . The restaurant was not full there were empty tables. Will not return.
THE PLATES ARE HUGE! Best breakfast restaurant I’ve been to for the food! The food has so much flavor and the presentation is super nice! My compliments to the chefs!! The service was super good a couple month ago… But now it takes us 45 mins just to get the bill… (It’s the middle of the week almost nobody was there and it’s 11:00 in the morning)… Very disappointed…I really enjoy the food but just because of the service each time I want breakfast I hesitate to go just because it takes so much time…
We have been working over at Mirabel Airport and needed to take a long lunch break. I am so glad that my colleagues and I found Restaurant La Préférence. A very nice new building with a very extensive deep menu of plentiful offerings and variety and quite reasonable prices. My order arrived at the table very large and super fresh with quality and great taste. Our server, Melissa, was delightful and made my colleagues and I feel like we were superstars. She even told me that I was "cute" for trying to speak in my broken French and referring to the meal as "nourissant". Whenever I am back at Mirabel for work I will be sure to have another breakfast-for-lunch meal here and hopefully Melissa will again be serving my table.
Absolutely the BEST breakfast place! We travel 40 minutes to go for breakfast almost every Saturday. Prices are more than reasonable, portions are huge and quality of food is superior to most breakfast restaurants. Service is A-1.

Worst service I ever had! The waitress couldn't keep up with her 4 tables, she even made a disrespectful comment about the other waitress to us, no team spirit at all. We waited about an hour with our finished plates in front of us. Other than that the food was ok, some good options but my husband had to wait a whole 15 min to get the rest of his order (ordered a 2 eggs, bacon and pankakes he got the eggs and all but no pankakes we had to ask twice for them). Sad, it used to be a nice place.
We we’re visiting the area from Ontario, stopped into this restaurant for Lunch. So glad we did, with so many restaurant choices we didn’t know what we would get here. Can’t say enough about the menu choices the quality, quantity of the food the price and the service. We had the black and blue burger and steaks omelette. Wish we had something like this back home. This place will definitely be on our list of places to visit when travel each year.
The BEST lunch restaurant I have ever been to. The food is perfect, everything is good and fresh. The waitresses are very friendly and attentive. Dietary restrictions: My friends son has allergies and they were super attentive and careful. Kid-friendliness: High chair and booster available.

Ç avait l air exquis, mais l endroit semble victime de son succès (ou manque cruellement d organisation). Premier en ligne en avant, plusieurs tables disponibles, 30 minutes d attente, juste pour pour s asseoir et une fois assis, on parle d un autre 30 minutes minimum. L objectif est de déjeuner, pas d y sacrifier la moitié d une journée. Plutôt dommage!
The service is not always 5 stars, but the food is really good, the portions are generous and the prices affordable. Its the lunch restaurant! 10 customers in the restaurant, 2 waitresses....17 minutes and none of the 2 waitresses come to see us. We left. No service.

This lunch restaurant is my favorite, for the quality of the service, the originality of the choices of dishes offered and for the prices which are very reasonable. I like healthy meals but at most breakfast restaurants the healthy options are pretty unattractive. On the other hand, at La Préférence they have several healthy meals that are delicious and satisfying. I recommend the buckwheat and grilled vegetable pancake or the healthy omelette.

We arrive we are seated at a table there lady tells us I will come back with spoons she never brings them to us forgetting to brew our only cup of coffee of the service with a knife she comes back to order we ask her again with 2 glasses of water we order 2x 2 eggs meat with a plate of brioche the lady doesnt even bother to write our brioche which she senva comes back with the 2 plates 2 eggs no glass of water no brioche no coffee constantly talks with its colleague instead of coming to us even the restaurant is empty no service....

Small restaurant for lunches. Well maintained. The people are nice. The menu is very varied with several options for all tastes. Prices are ok. The food tastes good. The day we visited, the service was very disjointed and there was a long delay before our order arrived.
The service was very slow. I dont recommend it. There isnt much parking.

Good lunch. Very fast service and friendly and efficient waitress. The only downside when we mention runny for Benedictine eggs is that they must be runny and not a little runny. Otherwise the lunch was tasty.

I went there for lunch. The food is very good, but always waiting for coffee is unacceptable. It took about 45 minutes to get our food after ordering, even though the restaurant was not full. Really disappointing and unlikely that I will return.

Very good lunch, good portion and above all the flavor... and for the number one breakfast potatoes... The only problem is that some waitresses are slow and forget that they have customers to follow up on (coffees and invoice)... Otherwise, enjoy your meal!

I went for a quick service lunch, basically it wasnt any worse but I was treated to a piece of hair hidden under the bacon and I found that the potatoes were too soaked in oil and the air conditioning was too cold for me. taste

Excellent food, excellent service and nice and comfortable space. We went Sunday morning, around 10:30 and we waited for table for around 15. The entrance is spacious enough and there are also some chairs inside for those who wait. Its definitely going to be our favorite breakfast restaurant from now on! Kid-friendliness: They had many high chairs for the little ones and many choices for the kids in the menu.

Where to start... I came home to get a menu to look at for a takeout. The hostess was really nice and let me bring the menu to my car to look at with my wife. When I came back I was ready to order and the hostess went to get me a waitress. It took 20 minutes before the waitress came to see me to order but I saw that they were busy so I said thats okay. After ordering, I asked how long it would take for it to be ready. She replied to me 15 minutes max..... 40 minutes later and I still havent received anything.... I went to see the hostess to ask if she could see with the waitress if she was going to take even more of time because if so, I would like a refund. 10 minutes later the waitress brings back my dish and I leave. Arriving home, I was really, really unsatisfied and disappointed with my order. The crepe wasnt even cooked, you would say it was put on the stove for 2 minutes.... And the taste was very ordinary. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Very good job from the hostess though!! It was the only positive thing about the restaurant. THANKS

After 3 different experiences its over for me Very expensive $40 for 2 Super slow service both in takeout and in the dining room (takeout at 10 a.m., arrive at the restaurant at 10:15 a.m., receive my order at 10:38 a.m.) Arrogant waitress (the Thursday morning waitress in tk) A big 1/10 in terms of service, at $40 for lunch Im going to go to another place I dont recommend it to anyone Im going to go back to Le Détour in St-Jerome well before coming back here

Unfortunately very disappointed 1 hour wait and I dont even have my plate 20 minutes to get my coffee asked the waitress 3 times for a straw for my young boy and I have to ask another waiter to get it.... I have already come to eat here when I was legsspress and I was great now I dont know if well change owners but I dont recommend that the potatoes were burnt and the fruit wasnt fresh no thanks
