VERA Kitchen & Bar in Miramichi

I absolutely loved everything about my evening at VERA! And great service! Dietary restrictions: There were a few gluten free options!

Server was good. Food was pretty good. Was with a large group. Food arrives in a hap hazard order. Some had finished their main course while others awaited apps. I discretely mentioned this to the server, who was headed back inside. A short time later, my (clearly embarrassed) server approached me with initial ticket from my order. Having reported my one minor complaint to the owner, who was inside, they sent the young server (seriously, she was naught but a teenager) back to me with the ticket to point out the time stamp in an attempt to prove me wrong. I felt embarrassed for this young lady who was sent to do the owner s dirty work regarding an issue that I wasn t really that upset about. Poor kid. I tipped her generously. The next time I drop a few hundred dollars on a large meal, it will be elsewhere.

A wonderful meal! We tried the pork sliders, PEI Mussels, salmon carpaccio, pork sliders, lobster crostini, and lobster Mac-n-Cheese. There was nothing that was a disappointment.

Best food and drink to date in our journey around New Brunswick...MacnCheese with pulled pork....terrific. All the specials drinks...sublime !! By the way, the prices was perfect too...not overpriced at all Enjoy !! Food : 5/5

Lovely views in summer. One of only about 3 restaurants in Miramichi worth going to. Menu is a bit limited currently, zero chicken options, everything is seafood or pork with a few vegetarian options. Local raft beers are on rotational draughts. Gets busy and no bookings unfortunately so may end up waiting a while for a table.

Great location and good food. This place has so much potential. It is a shame that Miramichi is not a tourist destination as this place would have been packed and a lineup to get in. Sitting on the patio looking out at the river, the bridge in the distance a small lighthouse makes for a great backdrop. The food was fresh and great for sharing. Service was friendly but like everywhere right now a bit shorthanded. I will definitely try to get there again before the end of their short season.

Great spot. There are not many restaurants in Miramichi that make dining a culinary experience or are 5 stars worthy. Yes, In a larger metropolis this may not be rated 5 but a 4. But the reality is this is a solid 5 for Miramichi. Naysayers upset about the restaurant not taking reservations on the patio haven t experienced a larger city. Most restaurants do not take reservations for patios because they simply do not know when a guest is going to be finished. I m sure they would be even more upset that if they had a table on the patio and the wait staff indicated they had a limited time due to a reservation but they wanted another drink. Top 5 reasons to visit: - View - Mac n cheese - small plates - great drinks (Paloma & Sangria YUM) - great place to go with friends

The food was gorgeous the view was Beautiful taste of the food was OK but feel like something is missing that is the only thing that prevented it from becoming five stars could just be me but It s a need to try for summer.

As someone who has worked in hospitality and can appreciate spending hard earned money at a restaurant that is highly acclaimed this was far from a positive experience. For the prices and acclaim that this place has received this was a complete disappointment . The portion sizes were far from adequate to the prices they charged, the waitstaff did not give the order correctly and the food was mediocre at best. For a $60 meal this was a very large waste of money.

Great place to have cocktails and share appetizers. Beautiful sitting out on the deck.

Hello if I could give 0 stars I would, half of the menu is missing

I guess they are trying, but.. Service took FOREVER! Pizza with prosciutto was like little bits of folded up ham on a big stale cracker with a little tomato sauce. AND, they overcharged me which I am disputing with my Credit card company. Nice view and nice spot though. There are certainly worse places to waste you time and money.

The terrace is really great for admiring the river and the food was really surprising! I recommend this address ;)

One of the best spin dips Ive had! The bruschetta and drinks were also great. The patio was beautiful and the service was good. Looking forward to coming back!

Delicious while eating, but that night was aggressively throwing up and was quite sick for a few days after, went to hospital after seeing blood in urine and was diagnosed with good poisoning . Completely ruined my vacation

The food was very good, but I can only give one star because I witnessed an indigenous group being refused service. They were ahead of me in the line. They asked if there was room for a party of 8 and they were told no room. I was told there was a one table on the patio available. I just thought I was lucky, sat down and placed my order. As I looked around, I noticed 2 tables empty. There would have been room for the party of 8 who were before me. The tables remained empty for most of the time I was there.

Have been there a few times this year. Best food, best service. I am originally from Montreal. Veras is the most wonderful treasure that I have found in a long time. Keep up the good work!

Absolutely enjoyable! Little hidden place behind a park with a waterfront terrasse. Staff & service are great! And the food!!! We shared leak-cream mussels + lobsters crisps + proscuito-pear pizza and we deeply enjoyed it all! The detour was so worth it!

Great place for drinks, light fare, and good conversations. The Stuffed mushrooms and the lobster mac and cheese are delightful. I brought colleagues from Ottawa and they thoroughly enjoyed the food and environment. Beautiful views from both the patio and inside the restaurant. We happened to drop in during a lightning storm and got quite the show. Great staff who take good care of patrons.

Amazing food and drinks, helpful and friendly staff.

Nice spot but service was not great. My food arrived after my friends had finished eating. My wifes arrived as we were leaving, and wasnt what she ordered. Sad as people who had arrived well after us received the same food well before our orders arrived. It happens, but to then discount an incorrect order that arrived as you are leaving by a whole 10% is an insult. Will not likely return other than for possibly a drink if friends want to go there.
