Went there for my birthday very bad service food was bad

Having grown up with Cunard commercials on TV all the time, I needed to try this restaurant and to be honest, it has lived up to its hype! Located in Miramichi, 2hrs away from home as a kid, this wasnt somewhere I could easily pop in to. As an adult, it has become a regular spot to stop in when visiting Miramichi

Very disappointed with todays order. The chow mein was slimmy and soggy to the point we were scared to eat it, the spare ribs were dry - i pre ordered for openeing so it honeslty looks like left over food from the night before. My sons meal of chicken strips and fries looked amazing however.

Placed my order on line - asked for a 4:00 pm pick up time - The restaurant was only open for take out and they were very busy, however food was ready at 4:02 - so that was a great start. Got home with my food and it was all there as ordered. My order consisted of: Egg Roles - average Wonton soup - Very Bland no seasoning or flavour (surprised there was absolutely no hint of Sesame oil - added some and salt to it at home). Mushroom Fried Rice - good Almond Soo Guy - very tasty and good amount - I should have asked for gravy on the side. I would order this again. Beef and Broccoli - enjoyable - tasty beef Cantonese Chow Mein (With Noodles_ - it was ok, not a lot of items besides noodles, the bits of seafood were not the freshest. Sauce was tasty. Chicken Chow Mein - There was no bean sprouts - just lettuce and cabbage - I was very disappointed with this. Besides that it was very mushy - would not order again. Honey Garlic Spareribs - the sauce was ok but missing a deepness in flavour. The spareribs for very meaty but a bit dry. Overall - I rate this experience as very average -I see Cunard is rated very well so this order did not measure up. I might give them another try but would expect much better to convince me to become a regular. Over a $100 order (special occasion). I expected better quality.

Always great food at a reasonable price no dine in yet has not returned since covid but prior to that its a great restaurant to have a very enjoyable meal quiet dim lighting atmosphere

Always good food, But the hours and the days that its open are alway a mystery.

We ordered 2 hours before they opened for 5pm pick up, we told no problem. Arrived for pickup, and watched 50 people pick up as we waited and waited and waited. When we complained after waiting an extra hour they blew us off.

Good food but went there 3 time this summer and all the way from cap pele and take out only I think its about time you open your kitchen if you want business.

Love their Restaurant. Food is great, staff are friendly. We buy their Chineese quite often and every special occasion. Just got a big order for Christmas. It was delicious and Im picking up an order today. Ready for New Years Eve.The restaurant is so busy at this time. I rate them 5. Star.Great Service!

Good quality seems to have dropped in the past couple years, prices didnt though

Ordered food ahead of time with the understanding that mothers Day would be busy. However it was well over 2 hours late and the phone line was so busy that we only just got through to ask what happened. We were told that they were 2 hours behind on orders and had only just started our order, blaming first the fact that its a busy why the order was taking so long; we then mentioned that we made this order ahead of time it then became because we ordered too many dishes was because it wasnt ready on time. We then asked for a voucher which was promptly ignored and cancelled the order being well over 2 hours late with no definitive time for it being ready. A more reasonable explanation was that way more orders than what could be reasonably done on the timeline were taken prior to mothers day and people were just expected to wait until they got around to it. Only thing I can recommend is to order something small or not at all since no responsibility was taken on the restaurants behalf. Wish clear limitations on what we could order the day before or limit how many orders can be taken.

they use one generic sweet sauce for every thing to taste the same there are 3 Asian restaurants ill try the other 2 if this is the best option ill just eat in

I will never eat here again . I was totally grossed out . I got 2 dinners and in 1 of them was a dead fly . The fly was in amongst the spare ribs . I understand that sometimes something like that might happen but to actually experience it really another story..

Best Chinese Food I have ate since Toronto. Friendly customer Service. Fast take out. We drove home 40 mins and food was still hot. Highly recommended.

Wasnt bad but Ive had better not much chicken too much better.ibs were ok .It seems like ahit or miss lately

OMG INCREDIBLE!!!!! I remember seeing commercials for this place when I was just a kid. Always wanted to try it. We went to the miramichi for our honeymoon. This place is absolutely amazing. The food was incredible. The staff was friendly. When in miramichi you MUST stop here!!

Three of us got the dinner for 2 plus Chicken soo guy....It was the most tasteless meal we ever had, we didnt eat hardly any of it. They still charged us 50 % for the meal. We will never return. I cant believe they are still open with the most tasteless food I ever had.

Happy to have a Chinese food place in Chatham. Food taste good. Little expensive but comparable to other restaurants in town.

Havent been here in a long time but was pleasantly surprised. Last time food was a bit bland but greatly improved on this visit. Not the best Chinese food Ive had but good nonetheless. Service was prompt and pleasant.

My favorite Chinese place. A place my mother and myself enjoyed and had many laughs at. When you can go to a restaurant that has good food , good smells ,and great customer service, then you have a great experience that makes you feel so good inside I guess it creates a laughter. So my mother, brother and I had a few spots at restaurants where we good out to eat at that became what we called it our laughing spot. After some if our favorite places closed we had to find another place for our laughing spot and that ended up being Cunard. Last place my mother and I ate at before she went home to her heavenly father. Love ya MA wont ever forget all the great laughs.

This is the best Chinese restaurant around Miramichi however it is a bit dated looking.

Love this place for Chinese food

Food was fine, bathroom fan was clogged by hair and dirt. .. Not sure I wanna know how clean the kitchen was... Service was really slow and they brought my spare egg roll as an appetizer which was weird. Wonton soup was pretty tasteless. Rest of food was generally good, typical Canadian chineese restaurant experience.

Expensive

Food was bland and unappealing looking. Very oily, restaurant was a bit dirty looking. Overall not a good dining experience.

The food was very poor. We ordered 3 chicken dishes and there was barely any chicken in any of them. It was mostly onions and cabbage. Also, the food tasted watery. I found egg shells in my dish (there was no eggs in the dish) and there was a grocery store tag (from vegetables) in another dish. The rice was also a bit burnt. The food was not worth the wait or the price. However, our server was very nice.

Best place for Chinese food in Miramichi!

Unfortunately since I was ere last I have to downgrade my review. The food is still fresh but doesnt seem as fantastic as i remember it being a year ago when I was here last. Still worth checking out and deciding for yourself, it is good food.

Food was decent but service wasnt great. We showed up at 1.15 for the buffet which ends at 1.30 but were told it was already over and they werent very apologetic or accommodating. The only other time we went they wouldnt let me sub anything on the dinner for one plates.

I was really hoping for some spectacular Chinese-style seafood, so I ordered the seafood supreme. I was pretty disappointed that there was nothing interesting to the dish. My basis of comparison are some of the (better) Chinese seafood restaurants in Toronto; with awesome dishes like black bean lobster and garlic ginger shrimp. This was more like they did a generic arrangement, but with shrimp, scallops and lobster instead of chicken or beef. Not as much meat as I would expect for the price either. Not bad, but far from blow-you-away.

Filled the void because I was hungry ..that was about it ..
