Been there several times now for breakfast, food is always exactly as it should be. Fast and friendly service, with multiple stops to fill up for coffee. Fresh bread is awesome! Will be back again!
Best breakfast I've had in Miramichi so far. Eggs cooked nicely, my eggs Benedict was delicious and so were the potato pancakes.

Fantastic breakfast. Nice sized portions. Eggs and sausages were cooked perfectly. The homemade bread was soft and tasted great. Perfect start to the morning. The coffee was perfect as well. Do not miss out on a meal here.
I, regretfully, must change my review after the painfully bad experience we had on our 3rd visit where we decided to try lunch. Both my soup (small bowl of chowder) and lobster sandwich were no good... Not only did I get charged $9 for a $4.95 soup (price according to the menu), but the $15 sandwich for some reason ended up at $17 and was pathetic in portion size on run of the mill grocery store bread... It was tiny and I left feeling ripped off big time. The soup flavour was great, but the price and portion were severely lacking. I could shrug that off but then my fiance ordered a cheeseburger with fries and the fries were limp and not tasty, passable as best but even fast food would have been better... The server asked if she wanted the works and my fiance said yes but no pickle or relish... So her CHEESEburger came with literally ONLY relish, no cheese even! The flavour, size and overall presentation of her meal was not good across the board. Normally we would have spoken up about the multiple issues but we didn't have time due to an impending appointment, but especially since the service was going at about half speed despite it not being very busy at all. 1st visit: Very good breakfast, can't wait to come back and try out their lunch stuff. Phenomenal service too! 2nd visit: We came back for breakfast again, after we have tried almost all other restaurants serving full breakfasts in town, and concluded that Goodie shop does the best coffee and sunny side up eggs. Service was great again, and super fast since it wasn't as busy this time around. Noticed the part of the menu for breakfast buffet on weekends so going to have to try that out soon too 😁
Styled as a NYC diner in the 50s, the decor is interesting but the breakfast menu was varied. Wait staff were super friendly and checked on you regularly, coffee pot in hand. The Eggs Benedict were delicious. So good, I left an extra $5 tip for the cook. Hollandaise sauce had the perfect amount of lemon. Eggs were poached to perfection. The onions were grilled extra as requested. Very highly recommended!
We used to love this place for breakfast. I have recently found a older bookstore like smell in the place, which takes away from the overall feel. We will still go there though!

Recently had lunch here was inpressed with there chicken nuggets made from fresh white chicken meat ,very good. Kid-friendliness: Chicken nuggets made fresh were a hit for my grandson who is not easy to please but cleaned his plate.

Ive been going to the goodie shop since I was young. Came home for a visit and couldnt resist having breakfast and seeing old faces, even if they didnt recognize mine. I strongly suggest stopping in. If you can find a seat, its well worth the wait. Parking: Sometimes near the goodie shop is full, but there is a huge parking lot immediately next and around the restaurant.

I had a club and a poutine when I came here. Club was delicious! The poutine was good but the gravy was a little to watery.

Service was great.. food was very not good. Eggs was too cooked and the potatoes with onion was not cooked.. we werent impressed with that.
The service was great but the food was not! My husband got a breakfast wrap which was less than satisfying... MacdDonalds wrap is by far better. The pan fries were not cooked enough It seemed as if they took choped boiled potatoes and put them on the grill to warm them up. Not fried at all! Im assuming that they changed cooks because this place once served an amazing breakfast!

No scallops in stock. Get my lunch without them, they throw in extra shrimp and apparently extra clam stripes thinking it will make up for no scallops. I get the bill and no break on the bill for me not getting what I wanted nor anything discounted for the better half who ordered the scallop dinner and had to settle for something else. And the best part was it took them 15 minutes to discover there were no scallops in the house.
My go to restraunt for breakfast. Fresh, fast, and very tasty. Must try. The breakfast poutine is one of my favorites. This places food is consistently delicious.
The server was very nice . The food was not . I got the chicken salad sandwich toasted . The toast was burnt and there was not not a drop of Mayo to be seen .. it came with what they called chicken vegetable soup .. it was gross and I am positive it was canned chicken and not actual chicken with zero flavor.
Great place to go have a coffee and have a bite to eat. I really suggest the eggs Benedict. I have it almost every time, I love their hollandaise sause. Parking: There is usually plenty of parking around the area of the Goodie Shop.

All day breakfast. Great service and the food is also great. Came in with the girlfriend with less than stellar expectations because of past experiences. I was not a fan of the food. Today was different. I ordered the Hearty Breakfast. Eggs over hard with homemade toast

I would like to give the goodie shop a five star review because I have gone there many times ... it actually is one my favourite restaurants... I love their food they have a wonderful variety and they have a great staff very friendly and helpful... If youre looking for good food and friendly staff its the place to go

Would give 0 stars if possible. We didnt even get our food as we had to leave because the workers were not wearing masks, both in front and out back, and it didnt seem like they were observant of whether guests were either. No one made sure we had signed in or sanitized our hands. When we asked to simply pay for the drinks we had amd told them we were leaving because of the lack of masks, the worker (with her mask down and standing beside the plexiglass) looked confused and asked who. When we said her for one, she claimed the plexi was enough, despite her walking around the restaurant with it down as well. Overall, not a good time, and will not be back.

Our go to breakfast place now. The food is so good. So reasonably priced and all the staff is fantastic. Theyre so friendly. The food comes out quickly. Not too large portions but not too small either. Perfect sized portions. Delicious!!
Disappointing lunch. Watery coffee, dry below average cheeseburger, terrible poutine - sour cheese, lumpy, odd flavored gravy. Extraordinarily slow food. Second time here and likely the last.

The food is fantastic, the classic setting is wonderful and it feels like eating in a old timey diner, the service is great; its one of the best places to eat in Miramichi if you want good, homemade food. Even the kids chicken nuggets are homemade!

Not crazy about the decor as I was born in the mid-60s so I have no connection to it. But I highly recommend this place. Eat breakfast menu is long and varied. The eggs Benedict are sensational. I have not been there for lunch nor dinner, I suspect it would be very good.
I do really like their breakfast but the portions is rather small compared to other breakfast businesses such as the fries.

Breakfast buffet was almost entirely empty for the duration of my visit. In fairness I was there around noon and breakfast slowed down but it was still offered so I think it should have been kept up.

They have a great variety of breakfast meals as well as a buffet... So if youre looking for good food for a good price served by a very friendly staff by all means stop into the goodie shop

I find the food here to be a bit hit and miss, sometimes its really good, sometimes they really screw it up (like the soggy microwaved banana and strawberries on my waffle). Their portion size is smaller than a lot of other similar style restaurants in the area. You get just enough, so you are able to eat it all ... but sometimes I like a good bag of leftovers for home, so I always kind of feel like I paid too much for what I got. The service is generally really good though and the waitresses know what theyre doing.
