Bad food! The food is terrible! Waste of money!

Consistently good food and great, attentive service. I always leave satisfied. One of our favourite stops in Miramichi.

Dont go there, there is nothing fresh, too long on the stove, very expensive for what it is, $26.40 taxes included, worthy of the 70s, a very small buffet at lunchtime, a meal frozen at home will be better! , to flee....

I have always loved the food here, I ve always gone here since they moved the restaurant from Neguac to here and the rice is my favourite, I can never seem to re create it, and I ve been trying for decades. They treat you like family here, it s a very traditional restaurant and the owner remembers you by name. The only thing is that the buffet can be a bit pricey, but I personally think it s worth the cost.

An incredibly charming little buffet. The food is lovely (the wings are notably crispy and nice) and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Over priced for what you get. ( dinner for 4 was just under $20 more then what we paid in ON, I find this shocking) Not great food, small portion sizes, not much variety.CHOW MEIN was bland, mostly sauce, looks gross, I wouldnt eat it, my husband did, he said bland, not good. We did take out dinner for 2 and shrimps, we were given 1 tiny pack of soya sauce....I ve never seen only 1 packet ever, you usually get more esp for more then 1 person.Lady at counter very friendly, sadly it seems we will not be eating Chinese food in Miramichi, it was a waste of money, small portions, not good at all.

i got dinner for 4, food was very good and hot, and the owner was closing and she still took my order and said to me ill cook it for you even were closing, so it was very kind of her..

Great food as always, been going here for decades. Now I can only go here when I come down home to visit family but they still never let me down. Great service and food!

Went for the buffet with my partner today- food was absolutely delicious. I was able to get my fill of chow mein with actual stir fried noodles and the beef and mushrooms was incredible. We tried a little bit of everything and nothing disappointed. The woman working there was friendly and polite, and was quick to check on us, top up water and clear dishes as needed. Good value for price. Will definitely be back again soon.

Update Oct 1 2023: The good quality got even better and now there are deep fried shrimp as well in the buffet, service is always great too. Just be considerate and dont fill up a plate only to waste it all, the margins for businesses like this are pretty tight and while it is buffet its rude to waste... Plus if you do that too often theyll go out if business and Ill losey favorite lunch spot in town lol. Absolutely phenomenal experience! Moved from Edmonton and havent had Chinese for months after having hundreds of options, and after trying welcome back and enjoying the food but it not being quite right my fiance and I found our spot here. They call it Vietnamese noodles but thats actually chow mein, just like weve been looking for, and it was in the buffet so as much as we wanted! Quality was great without being too bougie, and definitely wasnt anywhere near bad like some of the other, obviously angry life living, reviewers said. The chicken wings were juicy and well cooked, both honey garlic and the salt and pepper, the veggie dishes had thick sauce unlike Edmonton and were far better than expected with a mushroom and peppers dish that was insanely tasty to the point I went back for 3 servings. Wonton soup with non-packaged hand made wontons, with chunks of pork instead of cheap fatty ground?!?!? Yes please!!! Broth was legit top notch, made the whole experience for a chubby food lover like me to be honest. Chicken balls and lemon chicken were also pretty good, not THE best but still great. Big fan of the lemon chicken for not being battered heavily, makes the meal lighter and leaves room for ice cream which there were 4 flavours of. For this area, out of this world level service and food, and comparing to big city options its definitely still at the top of the list. The lady running the show was so friendly and welcoming to my pregnant fiance too. Loved it, Ill be back as often as I can afford for sure.

The price just keeps climbing, up to $19.95 now. The buffet was poorly stocked, only one kind of ice cream, and no cake. Price keeps going up, quality/selection keeps going down.

The buffet had lots of variety, but all the food seemed just ok at best.

It was probably one of the worst birthday dinners ever, I spent 100$ and everything was atlest a day old everything was either crispy hard or soggy and gross , now Im from Ontario iv been to the rice king everywhere and not once have I had an Experience like this for 6 people no one touched anything everyone said the same thing and when we brought it in to get my money back today they wouldnt accept the fact their food was bad and didnt want to give an refund, and I didnt want more food as it made me sick the first time why would I try to get it a second time because no one wanted to eat any of the food and as Im allergic to fish for everything to be deep fried together is a health hazard and for me to be puking till the next afternoon id suggest no one to go here and expect to get fresh dinner or polite services

Buffet not stocked with new good food

It was a terrible experience. The girl at the counter when we walked in looked at me like i had two heads & she wasnt genuinely polite. Almost sarcastic when we were asking her questions because it was my first time there .i was with my daughter and husband. She made us feel very unwelcome. We ordered anyway. Was some take out. We were outside holding the bag because we just didnt want to be inside waiting for our cab then i noticed all the liquid contents went all over my husbands jacket. We were careful with it so i dont know how that happened. I suspected it wasnt packed very well. So i went inside and asked for a napkin so we could wipe his soiled jacket. We got home and were just hoping the food was good. So we ate it. It wasnt terrible. But it seemed like it was lacking alot of flavor. I usually dont complain i am a very patient person but i will never go back there again. I never felt more unwelcome. This was my very first experience and my last. Go to welcome back the food taste better and the service is friendly.

Food was ok but my 9 year didnt like what he took . The waitresses started to yell at us cause he didnt eat everything in is plate. The waitress was yelling after my son nonstop Crazy place never going back.

We where there today and qasnt pleased at all. The food was just warm and when they brought put new stuff the mixed it with the old stuff. My mother went and got some ice cream and she found long black hair in it and my mom has short hair. The price $17.95 is very steep for the quality of the food and there isnt much to choose from. Plus their fish balls are mostly batter and have no taste. We will not be back

This was once a great go to for good food at a reasonable price however, they have raised their prices, decreased the amounts of their more popular selections and the food is not kept up enough to stay satisfactorily warm
