When I called to place my order The lady picked up and just said Hi, so I wasn’t even sure if I had called the right Number. Portion sizes small and expensive.
Owners and staff are very friendly and nice to chat with them. Highly reccomend this restaurant. Take out only and worth it !!
Had a 40 gift card and still paid an additional 60 for food one NYE that was disgusting. Beef and broc was dry ( no sauce ) the rice was not cooked .. is there no pride in food anymore....
Every time I come back to the Miramichi I have to stop by and see the Trans, lovely family, awesome food, good price. They no longer allow eating indoors, but there are plenty of places to sit by the river.
I ordered here about 2 years ago; ordered chow mein & got chop suey. It was good but I didn't go back out of fear. Today, we ordered a dinner for 3, wontons & extra egg rolls. Wow, it was so good! The ribs fell off the bone, chop suey was so tasty and the wontons had an amazing crunch. Overall, such good food for a great price. My husband's picky and he said 2nd best Chinese food in Miramichi.
Kind of a different type of review as we ordered from there on new years eve. Called ahead to see the wait time and was told 25 minutes for take out, ended up being 55 minutes or so. They place is very small and cramped and like most Chinese food restaurants needs some updating for sure. The staff is very friendly here and very patient. Food is subpar Chinese food at best. Food was lukewarm and not a whole bunch of flavor. Definitely better choices in miramichi.
VERY overpriced, small portions. My "spicy" Szechuan was sweet and mild. Two sandwich-sized plates of Szechuan (one beef, one shrimp) plus a small bowl of $4.50 steamed rice (see pic) and one can of pop cost almost $50 before tip and we left still hungry.
Trans Palace. Well. If you like good Chinese food. Then this place is it. But don't expect any frills like "friendliness" or "service". This cut and dry Chinese place is good and will satisfy that Chinese craving. I called, as one would if you had a question. I asked what time are they open. "We open now!". Oh. Thank you. *Click*. Ha, my gf and I just burst out laughing. We get there and a little old Chinese lady came walking out. She took our order and said be back in 15 minutes. I came back in 15 mins and it was ready. I asked if there was soya sauce and sweet and sour. She says "Everything in there!" And turned around and walked away. I came out laughing again. I'm coming back for the food and the comically bad service.
Best Chinese food in Miramichi!
I went there Dec 22 and debit machine wasnt working, so I thought, so I went to ATM cane back paid 80 cash, but cone to find out my debit was charged 79.60 , I tried to get refund once I saw it taking out of bank...i called and they did not offer refund, gave my number cause was told owner would call me back, been few days no call back...ill give ut few more days..then Ill forget about it and forget about eating there in future..
Was a good service but now food tastes old and poor service.
My last meal from here was excellent. Im not sure what changes but it is for the better. Wheelchair accessibility: Road parking only. Would be difficult for a wheelchair.
This is my first and absolutely last time I will ever going to this restaurant. First of all it was filthy I should ve walked out but I didn t. The lady that runs the place had absolutely zero personality and it shows in the food. The egg rolls were flat like pancakes I ordered Soo guy almond with the sauce on the side thank God I got the sauce on the side I almost got sick when I tasted it and I m not exaggerating. I had posted a picture of the chicken that they gave me which is supposed to be a full order it weighed a total of 4 ounces and that was in the container. Ordered Cantonese chow mein with chicken and I am afraid to eat it because there is Gel coagulated on the chicken. If I could give us a zero I would give it a zero.
Amazing food and service. Best Chinese food on the river. And very little to no msg in their food for people who love Chinese food but can t have msg.
This place has always been my favorite the company and owners are very polite and they always remember your face so the next time.you go its always with a smile and a welcome greet.thw prices are fair the food is delicious the plates r always full you get your moneys worth and thats good

Wanted to place a takeout order, called and girl very pleasant. Told her had to check on an item and would call back (took less than 5 min). Tried to call back over a period of 15 min got tired of trying so drove over with another person trying to call arrived went in heard one at cash complaining about too busy not taking anymore orders. She talked to 4 other customers, totally ignored me, made no confirmation I was even there. I ended up walking out
I am not one to complain but I was very disappointed when I tasted my meal. I ordered wong tong soup. There is zero flavor and all the wong tongs were doughy and not cooked. Very disappointed pregnant mama :(
I have only ever gotten take out, but I am never disappointed! I always get two meals out of my combo (D1) and it is very fairly priced.

The staff here are sooooo friendly. Would revisit just on that basis alone but luckily the food is pretty good too. The Satay chicken is my current favorite with rice stick soup a very close second. My only complaint is that they are only open until 7pm.
