Messy front environment when going to pick up my food (till area). I ordered chicken teriyaki and it tasted like the chicken was potentially boiled? Was not crispy and parts were chewy. Very high prices for whats coming out of that kitchen.

I ordered the chicken teriyaki and rice, the rice was hard and not fresh, and the chicken was chewy. The miso soup was okay at best. Overall I wouldn t buy here again, but it was edible.

I have to say since living in mission this sushi is so far the best it s fresh, flavourful, quick service and very reasonable prices I give it s a 5 for sure

Main server lady who I believe is the manager is always super rude, no customer service skills, we walked out more than one occasion after waiting for menus, to be greeted even, etc

Best Spicy Tofu rolls Ive ever had

Sushi Te was one of the best Japanese Restaurants in town! I recently (Feb 1 , 2024) went there to order takeout. I ordered many things and it was ready right away. I thought it was odd because there was only one chef and the waitress there. When I got home I knew why. All the rolls were cold like they were refrigerated and pre made. They all fell apart and weren t sealed properly. The Philadelphia roll had NO smoked salmon only the worst imitation crab. Agedashi Tofu tasted like the panko crumbs were stale and not crispy at all. The rolls were awful and had the opposite ingredients that should be in there. The gyoza was burnt. To be honest, everything tasted like it was pre cooked and they microwaved everything. It was the worst food I have ever had! The chicken teriyaki was terrible too! It was NOT teriyaki sauce but tasted really bad. The chicken didn t taste like chicken. My husband couldn t eat it. NOT worth the money. This restaurant has new owners and it s not the same atmosphere as it was before. Nothing was made fresh. The food was disgusting. Would NOT recommend it.

Great family meal - especially for take out. Ordered sushi, terry don, veggie tempura. Would have given 5 stars if the veggie tempura was thicker, but still super happy with the quantity and quality. Also, the best ratings from FHA inspections, so I felt safe feeding my family. We ll be back soon Food

I got takeout and the girl at the cash register was so beyond sweet!! They pack up your food all individually which is great. 10/10 Food

The food was great. The service however sub par. I asked for my sashimi sliced thin, and rather than a regular portion 4 pieces sliced thin (8 pieces total) they gave me 4 thin slices. When I confronted the waitress on this she had the nerve to tell me it s the same portion, for $11.95 I was clearly not interested in paying for this size of portion, and I m not born yesterday. The polite thing to do would be to take it to the kitchen and make sure it was corrected, instead she avoided me entirely running past me around the restaurant. When she finally came back I asked her if we can talk about this as I wasn t happy. And I suggested she take it off the bill, and she said ok and stumbled away. Her personal skills need work. If its so busy you cant serve the people sitting in your restaurant, STOP TAKING TAKE OUT ORDERS AND SERVE THE CUSTOMERS SITTING WAITING FOR A MEAL.

I d recommend giving this place a try I m new around here and felt a bit unsure about trying somewhere new. I ordered teriyaki and gyoza. While it s a bit on the pricey side, the food turned out great, and the serving sizes were just right.

We called for an order and were quoted an hour. I added a couple things on later, and they specifically said OK, see you at 6:10. The order was not ready until 6:50. Let me be clear, I am not upset about a 2 hour wait. Im upset that it took an extra hour that was not communicated. My children were hungry, my husband was waiting for an hour on his birthday for food while all his friends were at our house. Just let us know so we can plan properly. I called to talk to a manager. Was asked to call an hour later. I called an hour later, at 7:51. I was told again that it was very busy, please call after 8. So.... 9 minutes later. I asked if they would be significantly less busy in 9 minutes and was told hold on. After a few minutes, I hung up and was called back later. They said that next time we visit we get a free roll. Once again to be clear, I dont want free stuff. I want to be heard and encourage a change. A night gets away from you in a restraunt sometimes, sure. But it resulted in someone missing an hour of their birthday party as well as kids going hungry because we expected food anytime, it was already so late. Just call me and say hey! Its 6pm. We said 6:10. Definitely not going to have it by then. Come at 6:45. Communicate with me, dont try to buy me off with a $5 roll next time. Sushi Te-- you called me after I hung up. You have my phone number, you know who I am. Call me if you want to set this right.

Service and wait times can be average at times (always respectful though) but the food is good. Its still our go-to in Mission.

Great asian cuisine in Mission with wide variety of choices. Dont forget about hot sake - its absolutely delicious on those rainy days. Its great it reopened after covid.

The sushi rolls were okay, and they got my order right.

Got food poisoning, havent been able to keep anything down for two days, gives me the excuse to stay in bed, not much else, would not recommend, My order, (could have been what I got idk) Super California roll, Spider roll, Goyzas

Awesome Sushi, always quick with the food, love coming here! Still need vax pass and whatnot to eat in, can order over phone and dine out without still though! So thankful for that! Cant wait to come back when the world isnt so crazy.

Japanese owned and lovely sweet people. Can be pricey at times but learnt almost everything in mission is aswell.

Always good food, we dined in. Definitely a bit of a struggle, so busy with dine in and take out at dinner rush - but worth the wait forsure the food didnt lack. Eveyone getting back into the swing of things etc...

Walked in, restaurant was busy, one server on. Friend ordered tea and miso to start. Was not asked if i needed anything then waited for 20 min. In the middle of my food order server walked away and did not return. Restaurant closes at 8:30, when someone finally came back and I attempted to finish my order, was then told kitchen was closed. It was just after 8. Initial server is one of the owners. Very rude, bit my head off when I asked for ginger and told me that they did not have hot water. Will not be returning. Horrendous service.

come here all the time, the lady serving is the sweetest person ever, depending on the time you go the food is amazing!

update- the food is still delicious but our server is over worked as usual she does her best and is running ragged!!. She is very over worked! We used to come here 2 or 3 times a month, now we have been driving to Langley because when we come to Sushi Te the tables are full of dirty dishes and the one server is running trying to serve the tables that are eating, clean tables and serve take out. They dont have enough front of house staff to allow the server to do her job properly. There is one other person who comes out of the back to do take out briefly but that is all. We have been eating here regularly since 2004 and have never had a bad meal! Delicious! But they need to staff the front of house properly!

Fantastic food. The server, there was only one, was well over her head. The poor woman could hardly take a breath. Im suprised she didnt have a breakdown. To her credit, she handled herself with composure, even in the face of some very rude and disgruntled patrons. On this point alone Id recommend this place and the wonderful food and its a sure thing. Hoping they hire more staff soon...

My # 1 go to sushi spot in Mission. The quality is comparable to well known establishments in Vancouver, but the value here is even better! Cannot beat fresh sushi at a fraction of the price. Portion is also very good for a sushi joint!

We went there on a Sunday afternoon and had an experience in waiting and patience. We waited for close to 35 minutes for a simple order and our main dishes came in parts and we had to remind the waitress of our order and even with that some dishes were missed but they showed up in our bill. Not sure what is going on but there was distinct lack of customer service. Will not be going there again.

Nothing to rave about....have had way better sushi in Maple Ridge. There was only one front of house staff member, who was totally inundated serving tables, dealing with the phone and all the take out orders. She did her best and was very pleasant, but the service wasnt great...the food itself was meh. We wont be returning...

Our first experience with Sushi Te when we moved to Mission a couple of years ago wasnt great. So for my birthday eve lunch my wife and I decided to eat here. I couldnt believe how good the food was. I had the unagi rolls (eel) and their soft crab rolls. Both were excellent. The eel was giant and tasty, and the crab was amazing. We definitely will come back!

The quality of service have gone downhill in comparison to last year. Had an awful experience due to an extremely impolite lady staff s behaviour.

Not very good food at all. I order from here probably once a year and always think maybe it s better than I remember but nope it s actually gross ! All sushi in mission isn t very good but the best place to order from is the junction sushi.

Was greeted by a very nice server. We got our menus and was offered no drinks. 15 min later and we still hadnt been acknowledged. I attempted to flag the server down and she ignored our group and said one second. 10 min later (now 25min) and nothing. So we got up and left.

I ve been there twice over the years and the first time my friend and I walked in, the waitress sat me down then we waited 20 min and not even a glass of water so I walked out with my friend. Then I went there with my daughter (it s been a couple of years) this past week end, waitress sat me down and about 7 min goes by nothing. (Not even a glass of water) Waitress walked by I put my hand up and she dismisses me (she says in a minute but she was very short) okay it s busy I get it, then another 7 min or so and same and only waitress walks by and I put my hand up and again and she dismisses me a second time saying the same thing. My daughter and I get up and walk out. Very bad experiences there will never go back.

High quality shushi at a affordable price. I would recommend Shushi Te to my friends and family.

Had a replacement sushi, there ended up to be hair in it, got another replacement, half way through my daughter and niece eating it they found another long black hair... they did give me a refund which was nice. Also suggested I just not buy their sushi again? I thought that was strange. Than my daughter and niece got food poisoning and that is the only different thing they ate. There was 8 of us in the house and theyre the only 2 that got sick and no one else ate the sushi. They definitely have food safe issues at this restaurant. We obviously wont be eating there again, not only from getting sick and having hair in the rolls 2x in a row, but they asked me not to... hmmmm?

Great food as usual

So-so experience. Poor customer service. No tea top up, no checking if we needed anything. Worst of all is they utilise single use Styrofoam plates! Bad for taste, bad for the environment. And lots of cheap sweet teriyaki sauce.

The last visit was the 4th time I have walked out of the restaurant because of no service, it was Valentines day and there was only one lady working, she sat us down and after 30 minutes of no service started taking someones order who were seated 10 minutes after us, then we heard a man go to the server and ask if he could get the beer he ordered 40 minutes ago the sushi is good there but we are done with this place why would they not have servers on Valentines day

Solid Sushi location. Great value. Mind you this is a Korean style sushi joint, which is a different take on the traditional Japanese sushi.

Late getting it ready, they said 35min but took 50min. Also they got order wrong.

On my way home from a long trip last Friday I called 20mins prior to a pick up order. I could not even get through calling multiple times and finally reached a lady who spoke little English and immediately put me on hold....I waited the entire remaining 12-15 mins on hold while driving there...walked into the restaurant and literally watched her serve tables, take payments and ignore the phone. It felt like she wanted the line blocked so it wouldnt ring....shame when pesky customers are calling to do business! No assumptions to why they were short handed but there was someone in the back just puttering around (besides the sushi chef) I politely but loudly stated my case and nobody really cared...I walked out and will NEVER return after coming here a good 25-30 times over the years when returning from trips. Ruined our night as every other place was closed....no sushi for us and no more business for them!

My wife and I came up from Vancouver and we have to say that this is one of the best Sushi restaurants - it s much better than most places in the lower mainland! The fish is extremely fresh, and their tempura extra crisp and the special rolls are to die for! Brian and the team are very friendly and the service is excellent. We would definitely be coming back here again. I would give 100 stars if I could!

One of the chefs was arrogant and a bully when confronted with very fishy smiling sockeye salmon. We ended up not finishing our food, paying and leaving. Never eating there again.

I Googled Mission sushi. I came up with the 10 best sushi restaurants. Sushi Te came up 1st or 2nd. I have to disagree. Yuck. Spicy tuna roll was disgusting. The fish was so minced I questioned the species. I have never in 20 years had imitation crab taste and smell so fishy. Service was nice and order placed correct. Restaurant looked nice.

We have Japanese, wine, and beer! Knob, udon, tempura, etc. are fine . Please try the eel roll. The customer service of Miyako-chan, who is Japanese, is wonderful. ^_^

Not that good! Rolls that were like the Alaska rolls is suppose to have smoked salmon. Didnt have.it just regular salmon. And a dynamite roll had teriyaki strange . I didnt.like it
