We ended up being that customer on Christmas eve, 15 minutes to closing we make our order the folks let us know it's no problem if we stay past closing because it's better to enjoy our soup fresh than takeaway. The service was impeccable the food was fabulous and the humility and consideration shown by staff is second to none 👌 it earned them a tip nearly equivalent to the bill we where handed. Hands down the best soup in mission with some of the kindest folks around 10/10 will be back again and again!
Ordered dinner for 6 on father's day. I expected it to take about an hour and half to be ready, which was very fair considering. More food than 6 people could possibly eat! Fed 10 of us with ease and leftovers! Staff were very polite. Price was surprisingly good.
**Update to respond** I know what happened today, & SO DO U! 1st of all, this was NOT a free dish. I paid for it & it was not what I ordered or paid for! 2nd, If your menu is not clear, there are mushrooms in chicken fried rice, then it would be the restaurant's responsibility to put on menu. Don't blame the customer because you're not doing so. Anyone with common sense wouldn't assume there would be mushrooms in chicken fried rice. I see your deflection here by making up all these false claims which never happened. In fact, I was nothing but kind to the young man. When I came & brought 1st rice back & picked up 2nd, no one greeted me, said a word to me, just u with your negative attitude. He came out, put rice on counter in front of me & walked away, & I walked out without 1 word being exchanged. Your claims & fictitious finger pointing are just a reflection of your inability to take accountability for your poor attitude towards your customers who have complaint. I sincerely hope u take this as a learning experience on how to be kind to people & not gas light or attack them personally with negative words because they post honest review. **Update** Aug 24, 2024 I wish I didn't have to do an update on the previous order that I had 4 yrs ago & I able to do review based on my experience today. However this kind of piggybacks off experience 4 yrs ago. Some things never change I guess. I will not give them any of my business going forward is solely based on their attitude towards customers paying their bills! Today I ordered chicken chow mein, no sprouts & chicken fried rice. On menu, it does NOT say chicken fried rice has mushrooms in it. If I wanted mushrooms, I would have ordered mushroom fried rice! Which is also on menu. When I get home with my food, I opened chicken fried rice & it looked like someone had eaten some of it. (Not full) When paying $15, u expect to get $15 worth. That little container of rice already isn't worth $15. Fill it up at least. I then noticed there was mushrooms in it, not chicken, just mushrooms. Receipt said chicken fried rice, so not sure how they missed that. So I called restaurant & have the young fella who took my order tell me he was going to address it with cook. Then the VERY aggressive female owner comes on the phone yelling at me, telling me I'm dumb if I don't know they put mushrooms in their chicken fried rice & too bad but it's not her fault!! Every time I tried speaking, she loudly yelled over me, "I know u, & u order here lots & if u didn't want mushrooms, then its up to u to u say something" WHY WOULD I SAY ANYTHING WHEN NOTHING ON MENU SAYS THERE ARE MUSHROOMS IN THE CHICKEN FRIED RICE!! Good grief! & there was ZERO chicken in mine. The only way she'd replace it is if I drove back to restaurant with rice.... We live in a world where u better do right by your customers, especially returning ones. This restaurant's owner (female especially) do not like being told they have made mistake. They get VERY defensive & that is NOT good business manners at all, especially in this day & age when there's so much competition out there & so many choices. 🙄 Ordered chicken chow mein & there was literally maybe 5-6 small pieces throughout whole order. Also VERY oily. When I called to address issue, the cook came on phone & was very aggressive with me. Not exactly how u should be treating paying customers. How about just apologize for the order not being correct, then offering to fix. Instead he just argued with me that I was wrong & the food was great. After I told him my review will speak for itself, He offered me a 10% discount with extra chicken next order. Tonight I ordered same dish, just to be yelled at by the female owner. These people have no customer service skills at all & do not know the first thing about customer satisfaction. They just yell & scream at u. Yelling & screaming, at a paying & repeat customer doesn't mean you're right, it just makes u look like a selfish business that would rather be right than have satisfied customers

Absolutely hands down the best Chinese food we have had.
Ive been eating here for years - as long as theyve existed. Im not going to lie, and say theyre the best Chinese food Ive ever eaten - North American, authentic, or UK; but its consistent. Its exactly what youd expect from a place of its type, and in line with other places if the same. There really isnt anything else to say - its average, in that completely enjoyable way. You know what youre getting, and you get it every time. Ill continue to eat here as long as this remains true. I didnt remove a star as complaint, just being honest with the theres definitely better out there sentiment. A 10 star system is much better, as Id give a 9/10.
First time we tried this restaurant. Food was great and ready for us when we picked it up. Staff was cheery. Definitely will try something else again.
$10 charge for delivery for only a 5 min drive 2.9km over kill. Also forgot part of our order our chicken balls we added into our order. He read it back twice and still missed it. food containers half full and bland. Pot noodles had more flavour. Don t waist your money here.
Came here tonight to escape the cold after a walk around mission. Were instantly greeted so wonderfully and friendly by the staff. Seated promptly and offered everything you could imagine for comfort. The chef even came out introduce himself and tell us to say anything we wanted. We ordered many items from the menu to try a wide variety and it all tasted amazing. Favorite part was the won ton soup. I haven t had great soup like that in years. So happy we dipped in! Now it s been years but here we go: Food and service were great. The veggies are mixed in with some garlic and it tastes great. I really enjoyed the wonton soup and chicken. Im so glad were here tonight!
I m from Surrey. My friend brought me all the way to Mission to try the best wonton soup ever and I totally agree with her. I will definitely come back next time I m in Mission. Highly recommended.

We paid 130 dollars and there wasnt enough food to feed our family. Containers were half full. Super disappointed. We called in, and all they could say was.. next time you order ill tell chef to add extra sweet and sour pork for you...There wont be a next time
Excellent food, though the portions are small, and so a bit pricey. Small restaurant, not much seating. I would recommend for takeout.

Er....how are these guys getting 5 star reviews? I almost called the health inspector after I ate here, seriously. The flavor was meh, they were using VERY OLD oil. You ever get food that was cooked in oil that had a weird taste and the ends of fried food were burnt, thats what I got here, no quality control. Everything had a bit of char on it. The server and employees were extremely nice, but the cooks either had a REALLY REALLY bad day, or other reviewers have not experienced fresh quality cuisine elsewhere. I will never come back here, it was that bad....sooooo many better and consistent offerings elsewhere.

First few times we ordered very tasty.. 1 year later and its hit and miss, more on the miss.. tonights 80 dollar dinner was soggy flavorless and I didnt know you could have dry chkn chow mein.. absolutely cooked with 0 love or passion

I just recently moved here and honestly quiet disappointed with the choices of Asian restaurants. This place was okay compared to the greater Vancouver restaurants.. The only thing I found weird is that there was mushrooms in literally every dish I ordered except for the wonton soup.. In the beef chowmien, the beef and broccoli and even the chicken fried rice
THE BEST CHINESE FOOD IN MISSION! Dont waist your money anywhere else. QUALITY QUALITY QUALITY!!!! And they deliver out of town as well.

I should have looked at the review that the previous review shared my story wow I have been to Hong Kong boys before and it was pretty good it has really gone downhill at this point Im not coming back dinner a was a dinner disaster and I am very serious it was really bad I dont want to get into the description of what happened but I highly recommend you dont go there
First thing my order was late. I know it happens with delivery but he was like 40% later than supposed to be. The rice was excellent with a good ratio of rice to filling. The sweet and sour pork was good with chunks of pineapple in it. Overall everything was pretty good. Definitely a good choice for Chinese food in mission

Today I came across the Hong Kong Boys restaurant and I got be honest, it was freaking awesome! The service was unbelievable. Not only was the young lady taking my order polite and full of smiles, she actually took the time to make some suggestions. Growing up Chinese food was always a comfort food, something we saved for special occasions, birthdays, mothers day or when one of us was sick. Hong Kong boys brought back some nice memories. Will I recommend this place? Absolutely I will!! Guys keep up the good work and the great service, and try not to overcook the broccoli. Lol! Tony

Ive eaten here a bunch of times. Some dishes are great, others not so much, but overall, its pretty good. The Hot and Sour soup and Dragon Beef are fantastic, IMO.

Best Chinese Food Ever! The Dinner For 4 is Perfection. I order this meal every time I visit Canada and just love it. On Christmas Eve I ordered this meal! The Manager was so helpful, we just loved the food. It was fresh, flavorful and absolutley delicious! Delivery was Super Fast too! Thank-you Hong Kong Boys! :) Compliments to the Chef!

We have been ordering from here for over six years. We have never been disappointed. Friendly family owned and the best Egg Foo-Yong! We come all the way from Maple Ridge to dine in or even take out.
We ordered for the first time last night. We had the dinner for three. The chicken chowmein was inedible. Yech, way too greasy. But I was happily surprised by the beef chop suey. (Not usually my favorite chinese dish.) It had fresh perfectly cooked veg in a tasty sauce. Yum.

Best way wonton ebrr
I have ordered from Hong Kong boysin the past and it was good. It seems there has been a change in the quality of food. I ordered from there 3 months ago the food was really good. Ginger beef was the first thing gone in our house. Tonights meal was barely eaten by my family. The ginger beef was gooey, tasted like HP sauce and no ginger. , Honey garlic boneless was soggy as was the sweet and sour pork. So disappointed tonight.
New owners. Very disappointed now. Closed whenever without notice. Prices/quality decresed. Dont bother...

We ordered Dinner for 5 on Saturday night and the food was exceptional!! Delicious, authentic and unbelievable quality of each dish! We ve lived in Mission for 20 years and remember when Henry and his brother, originally from Hong Kong, opened this gem up! When the new owners took over Henry stayed on to cook and teach how it s done. Now it tastes like it should!! Thank you for the amazing experience. We will NEVER order from anywhere else again!!
This place has been around for a long time and the reason is...... They have very good food! Food quality and taste is great. Service is good. The restaurant it self can get busy so maybe call before you go and see if there is a table. My 1 complaint is the parking.. There is never anywhere to park!

Couldnt find a menu on line so I called them to ask. Wanted a dinner for 4 but made a substitute from fried prawns to non fried prawns. Didnt tell me their was a difference in price but found out when I got my bill. Ten dollars difference!!! Was astounded!!! No apology. Food was bland especially the sweet and sour pork. YUCK!!! No flavour at all.

Honestly I didn t even pay for the food my friend brought over for dinner tonight. That being said I couldn t believe how horrible it is. You guys need to up your game. You know it s bad when someone comes to complain over FREE food.

Worst ever! Terrible food last time. Tried again 6 months later hoping for change. Order came an hour late and when it did, the driver couldnt find our place. He left by the time I got out there. We called back and cancelled. Just dont do it.

lastnight We ordered food from here. As we have many times before. But tonight 85.00 and the dinner went in to the garbage. It was greasy and the sweet and sour pork was really off. Spring rolls has filling. Called and all they would do is 20% next time. But we are not willing to order again.

Great food, and friendly staff. Enjoy missions only real war won ton soup. Served with seafood not just prawn and a very unique and better tasting broth. Egg rolls are twoce the size of others . Sweet and Sour boneless pork is citric and not drenched, deep fried items are crispy and yet the batter is not thick, just a perfect combination without massive greese.
Fortune cookies stay af...fatty sweet and sour pork ... bland nasty chowmein and salty special fried rice ..deep fried prawns/more like shrimp were half decent ... NOT IMPRESSED..at all ... blahhhh .. waste of money forsure !!
