Ive been coming to this restaurant regularly for the past few months, and its always a great experience. Manmohan and Abhinav have been giving tremendous customer service and have been standing with a big warm smile on their faces every time I visit, the food is consistently delicious! Highly recommend this place!

Absolutely lovely restaurant. We came here with no expectations, but we are surprised by the quality of food. Ordered chicken tikka, do pyaza, butter naan. Food tasted premium, seemed made with lot of effort and just not with canned gravies like most restaurants.

The food was good. The service was horrible. We waited 10 mins to get greeted by the host, even though we had a reservation for our brother that just proposed to celebrate. We were seated with two menus for 5 people. No cutlery. Then we waited for a very long time to order. Our tables were not getting cleared. They instead they were clearing the empty tables near me (tables with no guests). We called ahead to get dessert to come out as this is a proposal celebration dinner. We had to ask for that. They brought out a slice of cake, but with no plate or cutlery. Understaffed. Not customer oriented. We were not happy with the service. The food was good unfortunately the service was not.

They have these really fancy seatings for 5 people and up. We thought it was really cool. Food was nice. Not top notch, but good. Garlic Naan and lamb Biriyani were our favourites. Place seemed a bit understaffed so service was a little delayed. However they gave us complimentary dessert. Overall we had a good experience and will be back when we visit Mission next time.

So we ordered naan. Overall the naans were so hard to chew that we almost choked. We called to complain and the guy said he will call us back but he didn t so that s a bad customer service there. I mean we are not here to get free food if they think we were but please make and sell stuff that are good and worth a lot for the price you guys are selling for. My kids couldn t even eat properly as one of them also has braces. I wouldn t recommend these guys as they don t even call back and fulfil the customer needs.

Best Indian food ever so delicious and flavourful and also generous with the meat . Servers were very kind and informative. I got butter chicken and rice pilaf and garlic naan and samosas . I know typical .. but sooo good they put a lot of work into the interior seemed like a great place to host a party too :)

I recently dined here and was thoroughly impressed by both the cleanliness and taste of the food. As for the taste, every dish I tried was bursting with flavour and expertly prepared. Its rare to find a place that excels in both aspects, but Maharaja restaurant certainly does. Had our first visit there yesterday night.. food and service was up to mark compared to rumours about this place only thing is tandoori roti is always not fresh at any Indian restaurant in Mission which is kinda normal now but other than that good hoping to served with entire fresh food next time

Upon Ravneets recommendation we tried their very first breakfast menu this afternoon, pav bhaji was delicious and Abhinavs service was exceptional as usual. They have very attractive breakfast options, 100% recommended.

Had their masala omelette, very tasty. The best $12 I ve ever spent. Their Gur Wali Cha is a must try. The best Indian food in town indeed.

The atmosphere at Maharaja is always very nice. I ordered their Aloo Puri for breakfast. It tasted exactly like home cooked food. I was astonished when Abhinav informed that there were no onions or garlic in the dish, exceptional taste. It is the best value for your money and the ambience just elevated the entire experience.

Being allergic to gluten, the best breakfast I ve ever had is at Maharaja. I ordered Masala Omelette, our server Abhinav was kind enough to substitute the hashbrowns with fries because of my dietary restrictions. What an amazing Indian twist to eggs, kudos to the chef!

My husband and I have eaten here several times now and the food is some of the best Indian food we ve had. Never disappointed! The restaurant is beautiful inside and our server tonight was Monica who was so nice and attentive. It s one of our new favourite places to eat at. Every single dish we have tried has been incredible and it s so nice to have somewhere like this in Mission where quality restaurants to dine at are few and far between. Highly recommend! We had dinner here and the service was friendly and the food was tasty. They had amazing naan that they brought to our table for the buffet and it was crispy, soft, and delightful. I would definitely recommend this place.

Small portions for the price.

Just wanted to compliment the staff on turning around a mixed experience here tonight. The food was incredible as always, but we waited almost an hour with our friends who had a baby that started getting fussy. The staff apologized but offered no discount and charged a mandatory tip for a group over 7 people. The staff apologized again when we were leaving and I thanked them but said I was disappointed there was no accommodation for the wait. The manager promptly refunded the tip and provided a complimentary dessert, which was very appreciated. So, thanks for that.

Amazing food

My wife went there to pickup food. We spent over $100. If you read their website it says feeds roughly 10 people. It fed 3 or maybe 4 people if they were not starving. Tons of nans and rice which was great. It was not worth $100. Also on their website it states the pricing is a lot less. When she asked the owner he said that s for our Surrey location. She even showed him online. If you click the mission location for there webinar it comes up with cheaper pricing. When my wife asked him he just stood there was rude and wouldn t even acknowledge her. Just played dumb. I d like to know why you think that s okay and why Surrey would be so much cheaper especially in mission . I just can t get over how rude he was. We get the same amount of food from Sangam Sweet and AMJ for $60 and the food is great! We tried this place because we love supporting everyone in Mission. I rarely leave bad reviews but when my wife gets treated like that, that s not okay!

The long awaited Maharaja Indian restaurant in Mission does not disappoint. The food is delicious and its properly done with marinaded meas and sauces spiced to perfection. Highly recommended

We ate here for the first time in December with our daughters and granddaughter. The first impression was fun I didn t feel like I just walked off of first avenue! The ambience and decor was clean and inviting! We were welcomed by friendly staff and loved the seating and layout. We ordered chicken korma, aloo ghobi, lamb saag, and naan and was SO impressed with every bite. Flavourful, fresh, good portions and fairly priced. Our server was so attentive and inspired us to try dessert, which we loved.. specifically the carrot pudding - Gajar ka Halwa delicious a must try if you never have. We will be back and I hope the Mission community will support this wonderful restaurant.

Tonight I ate at your restaurant to celebrate my mother in laws birthday. There were 4 adults and a10 month old. Immediately on entering we noticed the epic renovation that took place. The restaurant doesnt look like it belongs in Mission. Next, the food smells coming from the kitchen made us all realize how hungry we were. Ive eaten a lot of South Asisn fare in my life. Ive grown up, being blessed eating home made, but also in many restaurants. Every dish was made with so much love, care and attention to detail. Everything was so flavorful. Nothing tasted alike. The raita even, was the freshest and tastiest Ive ever had. Seriously, have the Raita I dont know if the cooks or chef have special experience, or if the ingrediants used are the highest quality - maybe both Im hoping. But honestly, youve got to eat here. We had; Garlic naan Mixed vegetables Fish pakora Butter chicken Prawn korma Chilli paneer A lamb dish I cant remember how to say or spell it The naan was also incredible. Was not super thick and doughy and the garlic on it was so fresh and strong, but not overly so, and nice and buttery the way you want it. The mixed veg, was actually an assortment of veg! Had green beans, carrots, tou, potato. Not just green peppers and onions like many other establishments. Everything in the establishment was clean. The service so friendly, especially when my 10 month old threw a bit of a screaming fit. (There are high chairs.) They can accommodate large parties. Now Mission, this isnt cheap food. Food costs have increased everywhere. But it was what we expected, and for what we received, was exceptional. Lets support amazing cuisine in our town! No more fried chicken and pub food. Thank you. We will be back.

Hello to all we went to eat mahataja in mission bc I had my family with me restaurants is beautiful #10 of 10 , food was good 8 of 10 , little or pricey like plain naan every were is from $1.50 to 2,50 max there price is 3,50 and potions is too small then normal naan , and service bad we had to wait 65 minutes for our food to come #2 of 10

First time dining here, and it was exceptional. The interior is clean, simple but classy, with comfortable seating compared to hard wood chairs at most establishments. Our dinner was extremely tasty with perfect blends of spices not too overpowering. I don t like dishes where all You taste after a couple of bites is heat from the spice and the rest of the ingredients get lost. The dishes here are Very refreshing, flavourful and filling, enjoyable to the last bite. Our server was very attentive and friendly. Wonderful service! We did however not receive a drink and appetizer we ordered but it wasn t a big deal because our main dishes were more than enough, and it certainly won t deter us for wanting to go back. Great atmosphere, and definitely would recommend trying. Thank you for the phenomenal food and service, will come back!

My first visit to the restaurant, and its the first of many. The staff is friendly and welcoming, with phenomenal service and knowledgeable of the menu. The prices are fair and the portions are modest. The taste of the food is whole and round without too much spice. The drinks and deserts are also fantastic! With the amounts of choice for vegetarians as well, I will definitely be coming back for more. Super satisfied with the entire experience. Will recommend. Vegetarian options: Fan vegetarian selection that doesnt leave you feeling left out.

One of my favorite foods is indian food. Ive had ill luck trying to get my S/o and son on board. Last week took them to the very new Indian restaraunt called Maharaja in Mission. I thought its best to let them try out the lunch buffet, so they can try some new things and find out what they like. Anyways both the boys ended up loving EVERYTHING from the buffet including all the curries, and gravies. They finished off two full plates and stated I have to bring them there again. Maharaja feels more like a high-end Vancouver diner. When you walk in, the decor and the service is superb. Highly recommend. Even if youre not sure about indian, I suggest you try the buffet. Raja - not sure if I spelled correctly is a wonderful waiter and extremely knowledgeable on all dishes served. What a gem to have here in Mission! Only downfall is their lunch buffet is very small. However, it still gives you the opportunity to try something new if youre unsure.

Excellent food here. Not just the best Indian in Mission, but Id argue best food in Mission in general, especially for the price. We get takeout at least weekly, and have been since they opened, the quality remains top notch. Vegetarian options: A lot of food is vegetarian by default. Any paneer dish is fantastic here.

Found out about this restaurant at the mission shine bright festival, Absolutely fantastic food! The staff were incredible and kind. Beautiful atmosphere. The bar is also really nice. Prices are normal for good Indian food in my opinion! Definitely coming back and brining my family and friends.

My husband and I dined in for our anniversary. Great atmosphere and delicious food. We shared an appetizer of fish pakora and my husband had the lamb saag and I had the lamb korma and we shared the naan ( hot, light and fluffy.) Every morsel was a delight to our tastebuds. We were served a complimentary dessert for our anniversary of many years. My husband said that it was worth another year of marriage for this dining experience

Have been loving the food here since it opened and have ordered butter chicken many times, but today the chicken was all dark meat when it s usually chicken breast we did not like it and if we d know you were changing to chicken thigh I probably wouldn t have ordered chicken. Curry still had good flavour but was turned off by the meat. I hope this isn t a permanent change as I don t think I ll order again if so.

First time trying the restaurant. We were in town for the weekend and fancied some Indian food. Wow! The service was great and the food was absolutely amazing! We had butter chicken, and the fish curry was the dish that stood out the most. Sooo good. Beware - we ordered cocktails, they didnt ask size (single/double) and while we thought we were getting singles, when the bill came we were surprised to find we were charged for doubles! Also, got the lamb korma but it was not a good cut of lamb. The meat had too much fat on it (which also affected the taste). In short, expensive and under par main course. The apples were great and the staff were friendly.

Wow. This is probably the best Indian food I have ever eaten. I kid you not! My wife had the Paneer while I had the lamb curry and we were not disappointed. Surprisingly, neither was too spicy (although I can handle spice & I could have asked) but when I took a bite, it was so good that I didnt think to change anything. Although I like curry, it can be a one note dish but here it is much more complex. Different flavours mixing together to make something more than your standard curry. You need to try this restaurant. You will NOT be disappointed.

We have ordered take out from here a few times and it s honestly the best Indian food I have ever tried! Their butter chicken is to die for, so creamy and packed with flavour. We had a nice sit down dinner here and just tried the lunch buffet. Both visits were very good. The staff is friendly and attentive. The restaurant is clean, comfortable, airy, and a nice step up from what is available on Main Street. The food is of quality ingredients and spiced nicely. The portion sizes are smaller than what you are probably used to and you may not have leftovers, but you wont go hungry. Everything we have tried was quality, was tasty, and was presented beautifully. We recommend you give it a try.

We have tried many Indian restaurants, and Maharaja is the best by far. The food is consistently excellent, weve never been disappointed. Super clean and great service.

Ordered first time yesterday. The butter chicken tasted like butter and oil and there wasnt any taste other than that. Chicken wasnt tender either. The paratha was decent but lamb curry was heavy on oil as well. Too rich to digest. It was an effort to keep the food down after eating. The morning after I had an upset stomach. Unfortunate experience and not ordering here again.

Good food, a choice of roti or naan cooked to order, nice relaxing environment. Went on a weekday for lunch buffet and it is 5 stars. I am very particular about my East Indian food, and I always tend towards buffets rather than a la cart. I am very content with this meal.

Great service from Monica and Rohit, food was amazing and they treated my friend with a awesome cheese cake for her birthday on the house. First time there and will definitely being going again soon. I took my mom here for her birthday since shes been wanting to go for a while. The food was Really good especially the fresh naan. The service was great as well, we were served by Monika who was taking great care of us, making sure we had everything we wanted. the experience was more than i could as for and id recommend this place.

We ordered take out from this restaurants and we are Indians. The food was stale and there was no taste at all. We ordered Butter Chicken and Lamb Curry and you can never go wrong with Butter Chicken! The gravy was full of ghee/butter and it seemed like it was old stale food and they just reheated it in a lot Of ghee and butter. My husband and I were both sick after eating the food, I kept waking up in the middle of the night due to acid reflux! And had upset stomach the next day! Worst food ever. We have had better Indian food in Abby and Mission from Veerji and Sangam! Our experience was so bad that we literally threw all the left over and we generally never do that, we relish the left over the next day lol. This was our first and last time ordering from this place. I m not big on reviews but I had to post a review about my experience and the diarrhoea this place caused me!

Service and food were excellent. The best we ve had in a long time. Monica was a wonderful server, great attention to detail and very kind. The restaurant itself is beautiful and clean. We had the aloo tikki, paneer tikka, butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, bhindi, garlic naan and tandoori roti. Paneer tikka was so good that we got 2 orders of it.

Came from Edmonton to visit relatives, decided to try Indian. Excellent taste ,superb chef, awesome waitress, like the music being played right volume . Will make it my regular next time we come to mission Food

Best food and service in town. We did birthday party here for 25+ people and everything went very smoothly. All the staff and manager (abhinav ) did more then excellence job !! Thank you and will visit again !

Vegetarian options: There food is so delicious and always fresh. Whenever I ordered from this restaurant I never get disappointed. Love their kulcha naan plate. Bahtora chana, samosa plate sooo yummm. Gur chai so good. Always fresh and flavourful Food

Probably one of Missions nicest restaurants. They have excellent food, friendly staff, and a nice dinning atmosphere. Weekdays they have a lunch buffet too :)

Ok so went for lunch today. Recommend by a friend. It was fantastic. The restaurant is clean and looks great. The customer service was fantastic. And I absolutely loved the food. I would consider this to be in the top of my list of restaurants. Looking forward to going back.

Walked in yesterday for a take out order and I m still impressed. I ordered butter chicken which which was incredible with lots of flavour and chicken. I also got garlic naan which is some of the best I have had along with Roti. It was ready in less than 10mins made me even more surprised. I just had the leftover s for lunch and it was even better than last night. Very impressive for a restaurant open for 3 days and I will be back and can t wait to see their full menu.

Sitting at Maharaja right now and cannot say enough good things. It was delicious!! We shared the paneer pakora and Malai Kofta. Both were as good as Indian food we ate in Surrey, the service was quick and very polite, and we are very full. Will 100% come again. Oh and the view is great, watching the cars drive by is fun!

Absolutely amazing service from Rohit! We asked him for some recommendations apart from the usual butter chicken, naan & samosas. Everything he brought to the table was so fresh and delicious, it was hard to choose a favourite dish. He even made us a custom cocktail he called the Mango Sizzler (fresh mango, mint and vodka) 10/10 recommend and will certainly be back! Best Indian food we ve had.

Best Indian food in Mission and Abbotsford!

I honestly dont go to many indian restaurants because homemade always tasted better, with the exception of here. Its easily just as good with great service. ow its lovely

Excellent Chili chicken, surprised the butter chicken was not very flavorful. Maybe it was just an off day, because all the essential elements were there. The naan,roti, were really good. Dont think I will pay 8$ for rice again, but maybe thats the new normal. Still wow 8$! Beautiful atmosphere. Will be back!

We had the Dal Tadka, Channa Saag, and the Bhindi Masala - So good. So fresh. So NOT OILY! Amazing attentive staff. This restaurant was amazing and puts others in the area to shame.
