We love the Birria tacos! Also the pulled pork ones are delish! The shredded chicken quesadilla was lacking and little bit wet, I was not a big fan but it was edible. I keep coming back for the Birria tacos over and over! Have ordered several times now for pick up and only once the broth was clear watery and not flavourful, instead of rich brown. I gave it another chance since then and it hasn t missed a beat since! Must have been an off day. Defs give the birrias a try!

I ve been here a couple times, but there has been such a big improvement since I ve been here! Friendly and accommodating staff, (and a wonderful authentic atmosphere. Very friendly staff and delicious food. Had the Quesa Birria which had a great crisp to it, and a Pollo Asada that was very flavourful. Palomas were smoky and well made. Best Mexican food in Mission.

The chips are definitely store bought, I asked for salsa and even told the lady I wanted salsa again when she first brought out pico and I still needed up with pico. This is not authentic Mexican.. it may be authentic to those who have never had real Mexican food. Make the drive into Sumas or Lynden for real food

I have never eaten here before, but I have to say it is freaking delicious! I had their shrimp quesadillas and the shrimp was so fresh and the portion was so big I could only eat half! When I told the guy working here that it was my first time he was so super friendly and the service was amazing! I told him I like Picanti, which means spicy He brought me their homemade habanero hot sauce, which was fu ing hot and delicious made My tongue tingle, so I needed to drink my iced cold Pacifico beer with lime down to cool off the taste buds Can t wait to come back! Have had decent meals here before however our most recent delivery order was terrible. We both ordered the Flautas and were extremely disappointed. The tortillas that were meant to be oven cooked however tasted extremely stale and chewy, the chicken, particularly on the ends were singed and extremely burnt making them almost black in color and very hard and crunchy, and the flavours overall were very bland and unenjoyable. Ended up taking a few bites and could not finish my meal. Perhaps in restaurant would have been better due to freshness but will not be ordering from here again.

Went for lunch here today, we were coming back from camping and wanted Mexican. Got there as they opened and we all ordered different things. The chimichanga is amazing. I got the shredded chicken and there was itleast a pound of good! Shredded chicken in it. Really good food!! Amd their drinks look good. The owner is a great guy

After our 1st order was VERY messed up We voiced our concerns we were told we would have those meals replaced the next time we dined at this establishment. So for my moms birthday we decided to order again. we were missing half of our order (this was pick up not delivery). After calling and talking to the nice receptionist she let me know the owner was busy and he would call me when the place was closed. I asked her clearly that he was going to call that night and she said yes, the date was March 27th. He never called. Our first meal we were ripped off & then again on our replacement meals. I took photos of the bills & food each time to make sure the issue wasnt on our end.

Awesome place really enjoyed the food and the owner was a very nice gentleman. They even made the sandwich that I liked even though it wasnt on the menu. Thank you very much

Came here to check out before the movies. My partner and I got fajitas and enchiladas, as well I also got a frozen pina colada. The Atmosphere was welcoming and laid back. The service can be better as things were forgotten. The food was pretty good Mexican food but a little plain. The speed of seating to receiving the food on the table was fast even though all the tables were full.

Came here for a birthday supper with a big group and I didn t know the restaurant existed to start with. But easily the most fun atmosphere and best Mexican food we ve all had in a long time. We tried the nachos, tacos, enchiladas, quesadillas and also a burrito. Very good! The chef came around multiple times to make sure food was good and was so much fun to interact with, and great service! You could tell he loves it there and loved cooking for everyone. It is the best place to eat authentic Mexican food

My friend Priscilla ranted and raved about the food at Coronas. She always said that the food was so incredibly delicious! I called the restaurant and asked for recommendations. We ordered nachos with Tinga ( chicken); Queso Birria Tacos as a dinner plate with beans and rice; Fajitas Cameron, 1 large side of Guacamole and Churros for dessert. Everything was absolutely Delicious! The flavours were AMAZING !! The taste was authentic and incredible. We shared the whole order and our plates were full. There is over half of everything left over. Four people could have easily eaten the meal that the two of us ordered. We couldn t even eat the Churros we were so full. But tasted the sauce and it was superb. I can t say enough wonderful things about this Restaurant and the love and care that they bring to each ingredient, plate and food.

The welcome into the restaurant was amazing, great energy, good service. We ordered 2 different meals. I have to say, I am a little traumatized by the chicken quesadilla. I used all the napkins, I had to spit out bones, but also joint/ muscle/ bones. I love mexican food. Its my go to. But I have never ever had this many bones and grotesque msucle/ joints in a quesdilla. I understand If I ordered a different meal, bone in. Honestly, it really grossed me out. I understand a mishap of one slipping through, but I filled the napkins for 2 people full of joints/bones for myself. I was really turned off.

We picked up a take out order from here, and the food was inedible. Our nachos were soggy and wet. The kids meal was the smallest portion I ve ever seen and spicy, which it does not state on their website, otherwise we wouldn t have ordered. We ordered 2 orders of the Birria tacos, and it tasted like the sauce was badly burnt to the bottom of the pot which made the tacos taste awful. I had called to address this issue and was OFFERED a full refund and was told to come in to be refunded. I went in the same day and the transaction would not go through, I was offered gift cards for another visit but I refused. They told me to leave my email for an e-transfer refund. After calling multiple times asking when we will be refunded for this disaster and being told that they will refund us, we are now approaching 4 weeks with no refund and no solution. I have never seen a business with such a lack of professionalism. Would give 0 stars if possible, how disappointing.

Was craving real authentic Mexican for dinner so we stopped by Coronas restaurant in mission, BC. I would say this is the best mexican restaurant in the fraser valley & worth the drive out to try.. Service has always been excellent and waiter guy always has a smile on his face and super friendly. The only thing missing to go with the decoration is the sandy beach and the smell of the ocean.

We were told find our own seat, which is fine I have no problems with that. The table we chose still had food on the table and chairs. The place was dead. I would expect a clean restaurant when you have nothing better to do but watch the football game with your buddies who came to hang out. Work before play. Not to mention this is your livelyhood. The food took FOREVER to come out. Did I mention it was dead? Any mexican restaurant Ive ever been in the food came out fast and piping hot, even the plate was hot. Oh and the plates were Chinese patterned plates. Did they buy them from a Chinese restaurant that was going out of business? If you cant get the food right at least serve it on mexican looking dishes. There werent even orders going out for Doordash or Skip the dishes. I had the chicken chimichanga. It was burnt on one side. Arent they supposed to be deep fried? The refried beans were tasteless they had to be unsalted and they were SO DRY!!! They must have opened the can and just plopped them on the plate. The rice was also dry. My friend had quesadillas, there was like a tablespoon spoon each full of sour cream, guacamole and Pico de Gallo. That is not enough condiments dude. The first time I had their food was a Skip the dishes order which we picked up and took home only to discover it wasnt even our order!! Well I tried them twice and both times it was and epic fail. Adios amigo

So shameful!! The food use to be so good! I mean really good!! The service was mediocre. But the food easily made up for it. We began to slow down on going there as I found the mother/owner to be quite rude and arrogant. But it was suggested by a friend that we go again. So we went in there and ordered 3 fajitas. We didn t even need the menu as their fajitas were known to be good. They had a new girl working there. And the owners son looked like he just got back from 2 years of camping. The food then arrives .. The tortillas they gave us FOR FAJITAS were cut into small triangles, the rice had ZERO flavour and were hard and well undercooked, the refried beans were not even edible, the steak was burnt, the vegetables were literally next to raw!! I mention the tortilla issue to the son. He then brings us 2 tortillas to split between 3. He probably felt that this was ok as these tortillas were a foot and a half in diameter!! And made for Burritos! The response for Roger (owners son) was I m so sorry! thank you for your feedback. We don t know these things if people say nothing! It s like he was embarrassed even. This was his chance to correct things. Instead, he goes behind the counter again and plays on his phone to never return! If it was busy, that s one thing. But they never are. And in this case, there were 3 tables occupied. And they would pass us multiple times without checking for drinks or even water! And this new waitress?? Also non existent throughout our time there. Our friend also had to go up to the counter for the THIRD time to ask for her ice tea. I m assuming that they felt ice tea didn t need ice?? I asked them if they had a new cook maybe?? But he didn t even have a response for that! What blows my mind out of this, was that they expected us to pay for this! And to insult us with a 20% discount. Anyways, I ve spent enough time on expressing this not so fine dining experience. NEVER TO RETURN AGAIN At least they live up to Missions reputation of not having any quality restaurants! I recently moved to Mission from Arizona, and I was missing good, Mexican food. Coronas did not disappoint. The server was very helpful and quick. We had street tacos and elotes. Everything was absolutely delicious! Ive seen a couple of reviews complaining about the tacos, which is unfortunate, because these are very authentic. Authentic tacos are not like Taco Bell. If thats your idea of authentic Mexican food, you will definitely be disappointed because this is NOT that. If, however, you know what authentic Mexican food is, you will be very pleased. Im looking forward to going there again

I went with my sister and we both decided to start off with nachos and a couple drinks. Our drinks came out and were amazing (Pina colada is my recommended always!). Then the nachos came out and both my sister and I were shocked at the serving size. We got through the entire plate with over-full stomachs because the nachos were so good. I am for sure coming back here with more people to tackle those nachos! Kid-friendliness: They have many virgin drinks for those under 19!

My wife and I tried Coronas tonight for the first time and it was delicious! We ordered a couple of Enchilada dinner platters for pick up. The staff was very friendly, the food was piping hot, and so good! The decor and music made for a great atmosphere in there. Nice to have authentic Mexican cuisine in Mission and not just fast food burrito places. We will definitely be back.

Fantastic authentic Mexican food the owner operator provides excellent service. Probably the best mexican food in the Fraser Valley, definitely the best Ive had around here. Only downside is the place is a little on the small side, could use 3 times the patio space on nice summer days.

2nd order, edit: The nachos were not baked the cheese wasnt melted, an entire half an avacado was under a bit of guac and the sour cream was stuck in a clump on the top/middle. My enchilada order was wrong, spicy when I asked it not to be, I ordered chicken and received pork. The fish tacos were only some pickled red onion and the 1 piece of fish. Nothing else in there. They used canned pineapples instead of the big fresh chunks we were given the first time we ate here on the al pastor tacos. The rice was kind of mushy and tasted more of tomato paste then anything else. The chorizo was tasty, elotes were good, and were not sure why the orders are so inconsistent. When it tastes good its good! But worried about ordering anything else from here that is not an appy if we order again. --- Tried my first Elotes here, they are so good! Will order again. The nachos were also bomb, my partner was happy. Sadly tho our burritos were just okay, it was mostly guac with some rice, lots of onion, and it was for both of ours. My partner got tinga, and I got Al pastor. I didnt find pineapple in mine, and it being largely guac made eating it not as enjoyable. The other pics of burritos from here didnt look like ours so Im not sure what happened.. our tacos were nice, the salsa Verde is spicy! I wish it came with some lime wedges. I want to rate it a 3.5 because the burritos were disappointing, but we loved the other food we got and the guy who served us was friendly and nice! Well be back but going to avoid the burritos.

Just got home from our first time at Coronas.....we spend a lot of time in Huatulco and this is the closest weve come to the food there! The service was amazing! I think every staff member served us! The margaritas are perfect! I almost dont want to tell everyone to go there because we want to get in but seriously.....GO THERE!!!!

Coronas was a great experience. The staff are friendly and the food was fantastic. I had the Carne Asada and loved every bite. We went on a Wednesday and there was Karaoke for all ages. No door thresh and wide open corners for easy accessibility for chairs and scooters.

Great restaurants with fantastic people

Some of the worst Mexican food ever experienced. Do not go here even if offered for free. Visited here in July for our anniversary dinner. ALL tables were dirty and had not been cleaned...we checked each one in the hopes of finding a clean one to occupy. The owner was sitting there eating in the restaurant. When asked, she cleaned a table for us. She was friendly and always has been. This was not our first time here and the food was never great, but has deteriorated tremendously. Other reviews mentioned that the kitchen was full of dirty dishes and we noticed that on our way out...even though there were few customers. The sour cream and green salsa were obviously diluted which was easily seen from the consistency and from the taste. There was no taste difference between the chicken and the pork and both were without much flavour. There was an adequate amount of food, but sadly we could not enjoy it due to the complete lack of taste. We really tried to like this place, but this was our last meal there. This restaurant will not last if things do not change drastically and quickly.

I ve been to many, many different Mexican restaurants. And this is one of the worst. The food was either too spicy, or tasted like nothing but onion. No other flavours. The people who have given this place a 5 star must be deaf with no taste buds that have never had any good Mexican food in their life. The place is small. Really small. Way too small to be playing music at full volume. And there is no signs up saying it s a karaoke bar! Horrible music, so loud they can t hear you for taking orders outside. I would not recommend going here if you want tasty Mexican Kid-friendliness: The music is to loud for young children.

This was our first visit to Coronas. We were greeted very cheerfully, and had a great dinner experience! My husband had the enchiladas, and was able to order a variety of flavours, rather than all 4 being the same. My choriqueso was delicious! Our margaritas were perfect, not to tart, not too sweet, and the rim spices-yum!

Extremely disappointed with the value of the meals here. Website says 4 tacos for $14. The menu now says $16 with no mention of amount at the restaurant. We receive 3 tacos. Small tacos with a single tortilla that immediately falls apart so a knife and fork are needed to eat. The service was good and they brought two extra tortillas when they saw it falling apart. But that should never happen in the first place, and two extra tortillas for 6 tacos didn t help a ton. The food was good, not great but good. It s just impossible to justify these prices. 3, 4-inch tacos for $16 is crazy. We love to support local and are big fans of Mexican food so it s disappointing to find out we ll never be back here.

Had to make a review, dont do too many any more. But, they decided to take us a little later as we showed up after closing time. I enjoyed the Fajitas which I ordered vegan. The sizzling cast iron dish with the vegetables on top was an amazing experience. I like how the vegetables where lightly charred, and they were not even a hint of being greasy or oily as Im used to seeing on other Mexican restaurants. The only thing is next time I would order about 2-3 more corn tortillas with the meal. I also thought the decor and music in the restaurant added to an authentic Mexican experience. I will return again !

Great people and fantastic food

Absolutely love coming here! I typically come here on special occasions. I believe this place is family run with mom and son typically running the front (I could be wrong) they are both beyond friendly and are always a joy to see when I go in. For my bday I ordered a (non-alchohol) Pina colada and the chicken birria tacos. I love love love the taste of (non alcohol) Pina coladas and the tacos with consume were soooo full of flavor! Will continue bringing all my friends and family here

This is a small hole in the wall type of restaurant but does not disappoint in terms of quality tasty food and warm hospitality. We ordered the fajita chicken , fajita vegetarian n nachos. All were made with fresh ingredients and aptly spiced. They also had three different types of spicy sauces to go along with it depending on your palate. The most spicy one is not for the faint hearted, for sure. A nice luncheon experience on the whole and will recommend anyone who wants to try out some good Mexican cuisine.

Toughest carne asada I ve ever had. Salsa had wayyyyy too much salt in it and the cherros were old. Both means my daughter felt sick after.

Update 02/22 - We have been here a few more times since my first review and their food is still top notch. I order the tacos and all three meats are great. Theyre not greasy, just super flavorful and the pickled onion is a great touch. My boyfriend has ordered the flautas a couple times and says they are delicious. We tried the Choriqueso appetizer, an in-house made Mexican chorizo and melted mozzarella cheese, served with chips. Holy moly, house made chorizo and melted cheese dip, its decadent and so tasty. Tonight we tried the Bunellos, Deep fried pastry with sugar and cinnamon for dessert. This dessert is huge, perfect for a large table of people. The pasties are crispy and crunchy and drizzled with cinnamon. The main server, possibly an owner is always so so friendly and enthusiastic. Thank you for your hard work and quality food.

Had a nice birthday celebration for my mom here, food was delicious, the staff were friendly and enthusiastic, they even sang happy birthday and gave us a yummy dessert. The maragaritas were excellent. They expressed a lot of gratitude to us for coming in and we were just as grateful for the lovely experience. Cant wait to come get some margaritas in the summer.

Coronas Mexican Restaurant in Mission bc Located in the somewhat center of mission the Restaurant boasts plenty of parking as its right beside the Mission Cinemax. Upon entering you can smell the Mexican flavors inviting you in for a great meal. Its not a big place, about 8 tables and the option of being on the patio during warmer weather. We got to our table covid card in check Now i have been to at least 40 plus Mexican restaurants in my time. I can count on 1 hand how many times there was no chips and salsa upon being sat at our table. Guys take note.... chios and salsa. We ordered 2x Modelo Micheladas. Bam!!! Impressed, well made great flavor. I ordered the Beef Borrito with rice and beans. Sorely disappointed. Now this is a staple food found in 99.999% of Mexican restaurants. I found mine dry and a huge lack of flavor. The Salsa was even an extra charge. Latin food is supposed to be the best comfort food packed with taste, emotions, spices, Life!!! I felt i was at a funeral wake and someone hid all the spices. Too bad as i am at a loss. I truly hope they had a bad day or try and improve on their presentation and taste. Not the Mexican food i was hoping for.

My family and I are the occassional take-out lovers. Thank you guys for the beautiful and delicious food. The style is quite authentic. I dont even see this high quality in some local shops in Mexico.

Authentic food, amazing customer service. What more can be said. If your in the area, definitely worth checking out. Make sure to try the special hot sauce I feel like eating everyday.

Great little Mexican Restaurant. Lady running it is super friendly and the food and drinks were amazing. The beef, pork & chicken are all amazing and really different from each other.

Not too impressed- Meat was too black and hard, their knife even had a hard time cutting it, the red rice was cold and had a funny aftertaste, i also expected a different enviroment, first impression reminded me of a fast- food restaurant. We travel to Mexico City twice a year and eat at Sanborns, Copa Cabana and Liverpool. Meat is always juicy and tender. We were there with a few people and did not receive the meals at the same time, the last person received it when i was almost done. Very pricy also. We wont be returning.Sorry, i am changing my review to only 1 Star, as this would be more appropriate, didnt realize giving 2 Stars, i must have been shaking to much writing my review.

First up - it s not a great start when your takeout arrives in an ACTUAL garbage bag and the entire bottom of the bag is filled with a lumpy brown liquid (I m assuming it was beans), but it was very unappetizing to say the least. I ordered a chimichanga and it was a soggy and sloppy mess and my rice was undercooked. I was really disappointed.

Local Mexican joint in downtown Missionnext to the theater. Tried to order fajitas but then had run out of peppers so we opted for chimichanga. Not nor normal crispy outside since they coat the outside in a green&red sauce but the flavors were on point. Rice was a little crunchy and left something to be desired but guacamole and chips fresh! Only waiter was very friendly and down to earth guy. Would recommend if in area with Mexican craving.

The food is authentically Mexican, as are the owners. The service was friendly. Although the prices are relatively high, the portions are fair, and I can recommend the Carne Asada and the Fajitas. This was the first Mexican restaurant, however, that I ve ever visited that didn t offer free chips and salsa as an appetizer.

Terrible customer service and even WORSE food..waited 45 minutes for our food and when it finally came it was disgusting, the rice was hard the avocados were Brown and had a bad rancid taste I sent that s*** back. You guys give Mexican food a bad name!!! Shame on you Will never go back

Was here a few weeks ago while on a road trip for dinner despite living in Las Vegas where we eat Mexican food all of the time, we couldn t seem to get away from it on this trip! We shared the chicken fajitas - it was probably the MOST meat any restaurant has ever given us for fajitas which was so great. They also gave us an ultra spicy sauce wow that was intense! The margaritas were absolutely massive. Super reasonably priced and they did a great job! Our waiter was also the friendliest human ever.

Okay food slow service

2nd time trying this restaurant. 1st time forgot to give us a dish and the food was soggy. 2nd time, missing chicken and flavor in the quesadilla, nachos were also soggy and the cheese wasnt even melted, the steak tough. Our daughters dish the rice was partly uncooked and very tasteless except for the 3 salsas which we didnt want. Wont be back a 3rd time.

I ordered a delivery and the food was bad, it smelled like spoiled food, it was barbecue, no, the smell was really strong. I tried to leave the comment through the app and communicate with them but I didnt have an answer so Ill leave it here I had to throw it away I lost my money

Guacamole was rancid and browned. Pico de gallo was bland. Found prawn tails still in my quesadilla. Service was ok but it did take a bit on the longer end to get the food considering there was hardly anyone in there. Yeah won t go back.
