Young's Kitchen Sushi is a great neighbourhood Japanese restaurant. The first time I ate there was for a takeout snack. The second time was for takeout dinner. I ordered the Tofu Teriyaki Donburi with an order of their Boston Sushi Roll. The donburi was very good; the breaded tofu tasted light yet piquant. Everything else in the donburi was great. The sushi roll was delicious, sensing that balance of flavour that good sushi should have. The service was greater than great. They said they would have my food finished by quarter after 7, however I received it more than 15 minutes before the expected time. I was also asked for water or tea by the waitress when I was waiting there. My only complaint about the restaurant is that the space was pretty small and the interior look was pretty basic. Overall, this restaurant is not just great of convenience, but for great food and service as well. I will definitely be coming back to Young’s for more.
The restaurant has maintained the excellent quality of service for the past 10 or so years. The owner and the staff are always kind and exceptional and the food is very delicious with very generous portions.
I have spent over a year hearing phenomenal feedback about this establishment and had the opportunity to experience it today with a friend for their birthday. I ordered my classic taste test dish, Ebi Sunomuno, it was balanced and fresh, leaving me satisfied with my appetizer and eager for my next dish. The Gomae was especially appealing, the presentation was unique and remarkably unlike other establishments, the color was a beautiful and refreshing contrast that had me eager to share it with my friend. Our rolls were fantastic and fresh. The salmon was delicious and tobiko was perfect pop on top. I will definitely be returning and I can finally agree and join the town talk that Youngs Sushi is truly delicious!
My new favorite sushi place. I ordered takeout: dragon pop, chicken udon, chicken teriyaki, veggie roll, and dynamite roll. All were delicious, fresh, and flavorful. They have a diverse menu with unique appetizers and many fancy rolls to choose from. Staff were super friendly. I'm very much looking forward to my next order from Young's!
We went to have authentic Sushi here, since I am pure vegetarian, we ordered vegetarian sushi platter. Believe me it was the best sushi I have ever had. Their service was top notch too.
Young's Kitchen: Delicious Sushi, Filling Portions, and a New Look! I recently had the pleasure of dining at Young's Kitchen in Mission, and it was a fantastic experience! From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the recent renovations. The restaurant has a fresh, modern feel with more seating options, making it perfect for a casual lunch or a relaxing dinner. The service was good. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and happy to offer recommendations. Based on her suggestion, I tried the Dinner Special with Katsu Chicken, and it was absolutely delicious! The chicken was perfectly crispy and flavorful, and the accompanying sauce was the perfect complement. My wife had the beef teriyaki don, and she was equally impressed by the tender beef and savory sauce. Both portions were very generous, leaving us feeling completely satisfied. This is definitely not a place where you'll leave hungry! What truly sets Young's Kitchen apart for me is the quality of the sushi. The fish is always fresh and flavorful, and the rice is cooked perfectly. This is pretty much the only place I go for sushi in Mission, and it never disappoints.
Just moved to mission from Vancouver and wanted some quality Japanese food and this right here's the spot! The lady taking the call gave good suggestions and was super polite when picking up the food. They aren't doing dine in so it's take out only but inside the restaurant is clean and welcoming! What we ordered: * Black Orange Roll (Recommend) $13.50 * Mountain Roll (Recommend) $13.25 * Chicken Yakisoba (Recommend) $13.75 Both the rolls were tasty, the salmon and Unagi were fresh and delicious! The chicken yakisoba had lots of veggies, the sauce was flavourful and rich. Overall very tasty items, average prices would come back to try other rolls and menu items!
Ordered:- crunch roll, dynamite roll, California roll, prawn tempura, chicken teriyaki and miso soup. Tempura was light and not greasy at all. Delicious. Chicken teriyaki was well prepared and very tasty on a bed of cabbage, sprouts and rice, crunchy and savory sweet. All of our rolls were well prepared, with only a few breaking apart after handling, but so delicious. No miso soup left over, my favorite soup. It was our first time here, ordered ahead and picked up. Twenty minutes wait and a short drive for a very pleasing dinner with enough for the missus to take a lunch to work tomorrow. So good, thank you.
Another one of those tiny little places with fantastic food made by great folks. They have only a few tables to eat in but many folks take out. Little gem.

When I was young, I enjoyed eating fancy rolls covered in North American sauce. However, as I got older, my taste buds changed and my values changed, and I came to enjoy the natural taste of the ingredients a little more. And I can definitely say that Missions Youngs Kitchen makes rolls that are most faithful to the basics. All rolls are provided only in medium size, bite-sized for easy eating, the sauces on the rolls are homemade rather than ready-made products, the ingredients are fresh, and the amount of rice, sourness, and grip strength are balanced so that you can eat them continuously without getting tired of them. Maybe thats why it was perfect for me, who was tired of provocative roles. Looking for a good sushi restaurant in Mission? Then I recommend Young s Kitchen. These not-so-fancy, yet non-irritating rolls will ease your stomach and make you feel the happiness of simple gastronomy.

A lovely jewel in an unassuming strip mall in Mission, BC. Youngs is not much to look at from the outside, but the interior is warm, inviting, cozy and even classy. Every single item we ordered was very fresh, high quality and delicious. Vegan sushi was particularly good. Service was stellar - better than many more expensive and high class establishments. Parking is ample and free. Vegetarian options: Vegan sushi and vegetarian sushi is amazing Dietary restrictions: Very easy to order items with no dairy, gluten or animal product.
Awesome food and Wonderful Staff! Its a small neighborhood restaurant. You can see the chefs kitchen and see how clean everything is. We usually eat there 4 times a month lunch or dinner. Never been disappointed....

I ve had a variety of different sushi rolls here and they ve all been really tasty and fresh. Had the chicken teriyaki a couple times and wasn t a fan of the chicken. Stick to the sushi and you can t go wrong.

Fantastic sushi .clean and some interesting options I m trying the beauty and the beast next time .my only suggestion is a better sign out front, the red awning red light and red sign had me and my failing eyes doing laps around the plaza ..big white lit up sign and more people will know about this wonderful sushi spot ..

They only offer takeout since Covid became an issue, and that doesnt seem to be changing any time soon. Their rolls and chicken yaki soba are delicious. I will definitely be getting food from here again.

This review is based off of the lunch special. It was pretty lackluster overall. The roll was good. The chicken teriyaki was pretty sad, I wasnt expecting boiled chicken.
Weve been going to To Young,s since we moved to Mission 4 years ago, and the food and service have been excellent. BUT unfortunately in the past 4 orders we have had 3 mistakes. We have had the wrong wrong roll, a missing Sunomono Salad, and a missing roll. Also, the quality and consistency have diminished. It is time to say goodbye to Youngs.

Have ordered at all of the local spots over the years and far and away Youngs Kitchen topped them all, the wait was a bit crazy but 100% worth it, the staff were so kind and apologized many times over. We will for sure order again.
Youngs is the only place I will order sushi from. Always fresh, tasty AF, staff are fantastic. Veggie roll, crunch roll, red Dragon roll, avocado roll, tempura, karaage, gomae, sunomono salad, it s all SO GOOD. During their closure I tried every sushi place in Mission and was consistently disappointed. I am SO GLAD Young s is back. Take my money!

Chicken was dry and the teriyaki sauce was bland and runny like water Our Sushi roll tasted.little fishy .. i only ate 2 pc and decided its not for me With all the good reviews in Social media i expecting a kittle more authentic experience Tempura was good..Enjoyed the Miso soup Would not be my first choice to return

Very slow service. I dont know if I just came at the wrong time. They said wait is 30-40 minutes so I agreed. But it had been more than an hour. I could have ordered somewhere else if the wait is gonna be that long

Today was my 1st. visit to pick up my order of the Chicken lunch special.The food was very good, large portion, quick service. I love mung beans and there were LOTS under the Teriyaki Chicken. Most restaurants give you none or very little. The broth could handle a bit more flavour however over all VERY PLEASED. I will order again.

Fair priced, decent sushi rolls. Most other sushi places if they are cheap their quality of inside are disappointing nothing but fillers and if the inside is good their price is very high paying $18 for single roll! This place is well balanced. I would recommend anyone who wants to eat a decent sushi without paying high.

Im actually surprised how tasty the rice was. Usually places here have dense unflavored rice. Here you can taste the rice vinegar and soft rolls. The maki rolls were spot on

Wouldnt answer the phone so I had to order in person for takeout. Said 40 minutes and took an hour. Wont be using them again. People that came in for sit down long after me were served first and my order was only 20 dollars.
Been here once before and thought I would give them a try again. The guy that came in after us received his food before us. Took way too long to get our food. Once the food came, it was just mine and was almost finished before the rest of our food came to the table. Wont be returning.

Tempura was good and sushi tasted okay, but thats about it... Price is close to downtown Vancouver, but the taste will be so much better in downtown. The chicken udon was bad. The chicken was so thin that I thought they gave me wrong order... The soup base has a very strong black pepper spicy taste in it... Sorry, Youngs Kitchen is not my bowl of soup...

There arent a ton of workers so yes, the phone can be busy... but thats what happens when youre the best. Fantastic meal with great service. Very fresh ebi sunomono, tender and delicate toro, custom made rolls, great value in the dinner box and generous portion of ice cream in the dessert (your choice of mango or green tea- both are lovely). Side note: it is also a really clean restaurant! The back end, kitchen, guest bathroom are all well cared for.

The sushi is very good for Mission, busy at lunch however, the staff are very rude. Very strict on not allowing you in the restaurant at 1125, they open at 1130. Other then that, the rice bowls, don and seared salmon and tuna are very tasty.

Very good place... I don t normally get full at sushi restaurants that are not all you can eat but the sizes of the tuna and salmon etc really filled me... yup it s that big and also the service was amazing they treated us very well and the waitress always had a smile on her face.

One of the best places in Mission for sushi. Recently I had a very bad experience at another sushi restaurant in Mission regarding a bully chef and very bad smelling sockeye nigiri. This place is above excellent! Service is exceptional and I leave stuffed every time!! And the sockeye salmon is as fresh as it gets!!
The non sushi items are good. Sashimi is fresh. Service is good. But the rice on all the rolls and maki is dry and hard. The seaweed difficult to chew through. Makes the over all experience sub par. Will try again next month. 3.5 star

Absolutely the best sushi place in Mission! Super friendly staff, super fresh tasting sushi, and nice and small. There is always people coming to pick up. Plus the quality and quantity for the price you pay is amazing! Totally worth every penny! Only wish they delivered or had skip the dishes. Even though order for pick up only takes about 20 minutes. Not a lot of dining space but worth it if you have to wait for a table.
