Established in 2006, Little Saigon opened its first store in Mission BC with the goal of serving customers MSG-free Vietnamese cuisine made only with the best and freshest ingredients. Saigon's extraordinary beef broth is made with the leanest Canadian AAA grade beef simmered for 10 hours with hand selected spices yielding a broth that is unique and refreshing. Little Saigon's series of sauces have also found its way into several major BC grocery stores, a testament to Saigon's dedication in providing Canadian families with healthy options right in the comfort of their homes.
Food used to be great here but lately it’s really bad for spending 60$+ and receiving bad food not worth it I’ll drive to Abbotsford , I’m not sure what changed but the food is not good anymore .
Delicious food! - big portions. Great and friendly Service :-) I will definitely come again!
Went to have lunch with my older infant. The restaurant has no highchairs at all so I had to take my good to go. Squirmy kid and hot soup don’t mix. Anyone who is a pho fan knows it’s not the same for take out. Also no change table in the bathroom. Not a family friendly restaurant which was a disappointment. Our soup was very yummy but the take our portions are small, I got one slice of jalapeño only and one tiny quarter of lime. I was excited to see they now have bubble tea and although it was yummy it also was small for the price.
Not what you expect for Pho. It is not what I would want for Pho. It is not traditional flavor so that makes it not Pho. Lemongrass chicken is mixed wet stired with sauce, not what I expected as a traditional dish. Not recommended if you are wanting to taste authentic Viet dish or Pho.
The food is fantastic. The restaurant is sparsely decorated with chairs and benches at the tables. Today the server, a young man, seemed to be alone in the store. We got our water but were never offered anything else or asked if we wanted anything else to drink. We ordered our food, both got the #27 vermicelli special. So much delicious food. This restaurant is known for its sauces, you can buy them in the store and they used to feature them at the table to add to your food, chili oil and sriracha too, but there were no sauces on the table today, or any other table! The waiter never came by again and I had to approach the till to get a box to take home the bosses leftovers and pay the bill. Great food. No sauces. Lack luster service.
Little Saigon in town is definitely worth a visit. Despite my initial skepticism, my friends and I tried their beef and seafood pho, paired with a satisfying combo meal. The food exceeded expectations, and the service was impressively fast. While the place may be smaller than other restaurants, the ambience surprisingly wasn’t bad at all. The reasonable prices just add to the overall appeal.
Very friendly service. The chicken wings are delicious. Soup was decent.
Came for a very early dinner tonight. Food came out quickly. It was hot and delicious!!! Added the hosin sauce and siracha in the chicken noodle and it was everything I've been craving. My daughter had the lemon chicken on rice and although they do not have a child size she ate loads of it .... meaning she loved it as well 10/10 would recommend 👌
The meals were okay, I stopped by after the tour.
This broth doesnt have the depth of a proper pho House. Pretty small portions and everythings very expensive.
Excellent food! Prawn salad rolls are awesome.
This is the first time that I didnt have to put hoisin sauce or hot sauce in my pho. I am absolutely blown away by the taste of the food. Highly recommend.
Fantastic food, the beef broth was so flavorful. Got the #14 and some deep fried wontons Wheelchair accessibility: While I was dining, a patron came in using a wheel chair. The hostess was very polite and made sure the table was good for him.
Food is delicious .... but the price and portion size is absolutely ridiculous! Completely ripping people off! I wont be back!
Good service and good food. Will come again when I m here around.
Good thing i didnt listen to any of the bad reviews, the service was very good. And the food was very delicious!!
Burn your money instead. Food was ... trying to use the right words.. it was actually insulting. I felt disrespected. How does a restaurant, serving food from one of the flavor capitals of the world, stay open serving this insulting garbage? Food had no flavor (wrap your mind around that), it actually had negative flavor! Absolutely no connection to the country it supposedly represents. Its a shame and I regret spending money here.
Very Small portions, broken noodles and bland.
Favorite pho place in Mission, I believe this might be a chain. Parking: Its in the junction shopping center Food : 4/5 |
Saw the 3.4 rating but was the only Vietnamese restaurant in the area so gave it a try. We ordered two phos.....shouldnt have gone. The soup was so bland and not much meat. They charge for the tea and the tea tasted better than the pho. The service was good.....of course we were the only table to serve.
Very nice people but frequently forget items in take out order. The food is very good. Just check your takeout order to ensure youve got everything.
Super fast service. I had beef satay. Could have used a lot more flavour.
The worsted soup I ve had was small and very pricey for the size no flavour. The service was excellent
Not terrible, but not great(very bland, and barely passable). Peanut sauce is sub par(tastes literally like watered down peanut butter, rather than peanut sauce). Frozen store bought spring rolls, or at least taste like/textured like it. More than the food being lack luster, the biggest problem is the cost/portion size. One of the best parts about Vietnamese food isnt just how tasty it is, but its usually very fair prices for large portion sizes. This place is literally twice the price, for clam shell containers half the usual size - compared to every single Vietnamese establishment Ive been to anywhere in the Vancouver/Fraser Valley area, or on Vancouver Island. Very much not impressed. If the cost and serving size were comparable to every other establishment, then the food itself would be passable; at these prices and serving sizes, the food quality should be a 10/10, but its not even close. Best I can really give is a 5/10 for the food, but thats honestly trying to be generous because nothing stands out directly as WRONG or gross, just lacking. I wouldnt really call it authentic, either(unlike the many genuine places in BC). Customer service itself was fine. The person on the phone was friendly, and polite - pickup was also pleasant. Lost some stars because the lack of quality is still a customer service issue, especially if the spring rolls really are pre-made store bought frozen ones.
save your money, Pho for $18 tastes funny, better to drive to Abbotsford.
Quality and flavour has gone down significantly.
The food brought back memories of my trip to Vietnam.
Ordered take out, coconut curry stew asked for vermicelli and they gave me rice didnt realize until I got home, but the salad rolls are huge could use some more peanuty sauce to dip it in was pretty watery.
Love the shredded chicken noodle soup ...broth is so tasty!
Ordered a meal for pick up. The subs were very hard to distinguish if we were eating the correct meat. Not a lot of flavour in the sub. Spring rolls were good. The two vermicelli bowls were almost inedible due to the flavour of the meat. The one order was incorrect but didnt realize until we got to our house.
I ordered a soup, and ate 1/3, then found a bug(fly), was terrible, and serious stomachache all day long...
Just Ordered takeout from here. Paid $25 for the tom special. The Broth was the same size as a regular pho and the noodles were not even long or stretchy. Its like they crumbled yhem up before they cooked them. Not a good experience so many better pho restaurants out there
New to Mission and looking for a new pho spot - tried Little Saigon on Skip. Ordered a large Pho Tai with extra meat and noodles and was really disappointed in the portion. 10 pieces of meat, 1 cup worth of noodles and broth. Ended up disputing the charge for the meat and noodles as Im hoping it was just forgotten and not what they consider extra... The flavour was good though and I would try again if the other local options arent better...but definitely trying the others first.
For being a small place they should be way more popular Always good havent tried anything bad and Im pretty picky Easily one of the better places to eat in mission
Should have listened to the reviews. Stale thin sandwich. Inedible. Called and they just argued. Dont waste your money
Love eating here amazing food and amazing staff, only down fall is you can only order pick up online which I have trouble doing so I haven t eaten here as much please allow phone calls again
I ordered the grilled prawn vermicelli and the prawns were not grilled. They looked and tasted like they were steamed. I also ordered the calamari which was $19. There was about half of a normal portion and it was so tough I couldn t chew through it. There is no way to get a hold of them on the phone either to let them know I was disappointed with my order.
Will not take pick up orders over the phone. Tell you to order online. Incredibly inconvenient.
Go here instead of Abbotsford location. Its good here.
Asked to put in an order for a salad roll - they said they didn t have that here. Then asked for pho, they said they didn t have pho One guy came in to swap his order since they gave him the wrong order. Then another guy got denied for ordering take out. Shortly after they shut their doors early. LOL
Ridiculously overpriced, small portions, unfriendly staff. Used to be good but it s drastically gone downhill.
Waitress was outstanding:)) super helpful when ordering, and food was amazing!!!
Great option when you want something healthy and light to eat.
If this was my first introduction to Pho I would be wondering what the fuss is all about ! The chicken I had in my soup was dry , yip thats right dry even after sitting in the hot broth for a while ! My gf had the Toms special and didnt finish it either she was definitely not impressed.
Dining room is nice. The soup...its not Vietnamese pho flavor? There was too much five spice or some sort of other flavour in it...nutmeg? Anyways, its not the usual flavor and gave me nausea afterwards. Good luck.
We went there to celebrate my daughters first (and we hope only ), abortion. Ordered 6 meals and only 2 of them went through apparently, extremely dissatisfied with the service. Unacceptable at such a hard time for our family. also the chef in the back was extremely rude and avoided any eye contact.
Clean and nice small pho noodle cafe
We ordered take out from here and will never again eat here!!! Which is sad because we used to eat here quite often a few years ago and it was delicious! So we were very shocked at how bad it was! For $17 all we got was rice and 2 small pieces of dry, tasteless beef!!! Do not go here!! And the lemon grass soup had no lemon in it! It was a waste of money.
Great food. Great service. Depth of flavour is wonderful in all dishes. Love the Bahn mi sandwiches, the salad rolls, the grilled pork, the chicken curry stew, and the PHO! If you are hesitant about trying Vietnamese food, dont worry. You will love it.
Possibly the worst pho Ive ever tried in my whole entire existence.
Well Ive been here tons Im a regular awesome food however today I was asked to leave as there was no waitress and only a cook sorry but if the cook cant take an order theres a problem all were doing is skipping the waitress I couldve told her what I wanted but ya anyways not at all impressed with todays visit very upsetting
Was cool food and service
Service was good, but as I was the only customer it should have been. Food was mediocre and overpriced for the quality. Wont be going back.
Love this place
So frustrating to see it open online but closed when you get to restaurant. I just moved to mission and wanted to try this pho, I will go to pho song in maple ridge in the future.
Do NOT eat here!!! My family and I came here today. The food was off , I knew something was strange as my food was a bit sour tasting. I ve eaten here before. Later this evening my son has been throwing up all night! He had not eaten anything prior to this incident, just half the sub. My husband said his stomach was not feeing great either. Long story short, my son got food poisoning from eating at this place. He had the chicken sub and my husband had the other half along with his pho. I should have known better, when we arrived- there were no other customers during the lunch rush . The service wasn t great either. Very disappointed. We will not be returning to this restaurant.
Love lil saigon soooo yummy everytime mmmm... and my fav cooked pork salad wraps again, today...wonderful as always
WAY over priced ! probably one of the least authentic Vietnamese noodles houses i have had the liberty to eat at. I ordered the pho-satay and for $17 it left me asking where i was going to immediately eat after i left little saigon. the broth was watered down and lacked the rich depth of traditional vietnamese pho, the soup came with 4 tiny chiseled away meat balls and several anemic slices of rare beef , i was left wondering where is the brisket or well done beef ? to skimp out on the EXPENSIVE meat is one thing but to deliberately not deliver an adequate portion of noodles is heresy. I definitely would not recommend eating here if you are looking for a traditional bowl of pho.
Twice now weve been disappointed. Very inconsistent in quality and portion sizes. Large (15$) rare beef pho as pictured.
after seeing so many bad reviews and so little people going in this store im going to SKIP the over priced mr noodles being served here, REVIEWS SAVE TIME AND MONEY so skip this place till the recent reviews start getting better
I agree with the recent reviews. Expensive and bland food.
this used to be one of my favorite places. The staff are great but the price is awful for what you get and the quality of it. What i paid $30 for tonight should have been $15-20 tops. Disappointed.
Called three times over the past month and no one picks up the phone to order, very confusing.
Best Vietnamese food in mission. Also the only Vietnamese food in mission
What a disappointment. I made a pickup order on my way home to maple ridge while passing through mission, paid $28 for what would normally be $18-20 of food. Oh well I can live with that but when i got home I discovered very small quantities of food, and when I re heated the broth to cook the steak a lovely scuzzy foam formed on top which is usually cleaned off in the long process of cooking the broth.
We havent been here for a long time. I saw the other reviews and was worried it wasnt going be very good.. it was great , really enjoyed our meal. Kids first time for PHO and they loved it. Nice and clean inside too ..
This place is way too overpriced for the quality of its menu. I guess the reason would be because it is only pho in Mission. Dissapointed.
I was hesitant to order here for my first time after reading the reviews. Usually, when I order for take-out for the first time, I dont tip until Ive tried the food. The girl working with red hair this past Sunday night on October 24, 2021 was nice as pie to me up until it came time to pay for my food. After I paid with debit she printed my copy and immediately I can sense here body language and tone change. I asked if I could have the itemized food receipt and she didnt even use words. Instead, I received what appeared to be a pissed off disappointed eye contact expression. No thank you, or enjoy your meal, etc. The food taste was good (not great). Quantity and value for what your pay is a rip-off. I understand that Covid has impacted every business and increases in the cost of food drives up overhead costs. Personally, as someone who comes from 25 years of experience working in the hospitality industry.....First impressions from start to finish of the customer service experience (regardless of IF they choose to leave a tip) are the MOST important. I love to support local restaurants versus big franchise restaurants, especially in this pandemic. Sadly, I wont recommend or return. Prices, food portion (barely any proteins with soups and rice dishes), and customer service (need an attitude adjustment).
Was super disappointed with their customer service today. I asked for a specific meal, the same one I always order, and yet once I got home, was the wrong one so I called to ask what happened, and this young lady abruptly and rudely let me know that I did not order the meal I had desired. I said, yes I did, its the only one I order, and she just responded, No you didnt. No apologies, no politeness, just No. So rude and disrespectful. Train your staff to serve your customers properly, or you wont have customers like myself anymore.
The Siagon special is amazing
Love the cold salad rolls & spring rolls on vermicelli. Friendly and good service
Nice small restaurant. Service was good, Pho tasty, portions big and prices reasonable. I am impressed and will return.
Always great food
When they first opened the food was great, the portions were decent, staff were good and the menu was simple, and place was always busy but worth the wait. Its changed many times over the years and the menus at one point were so terrible to figure out that the table beside us actually walked out after talking a length about the new menus and not understanding them, a couple of times we almost did the same out of frustration . Went in a few days ago and wont be back, the prices for what you get now is absurd ,looks like we arent the only ones to realize this place has slid way downhill as they only had one other couple in it in the afternoon
Food and service was great. Highly recommend
Had the Little Saigon Special! HUGE bowl of tasty, fresh food! Almost finished it..
The food, and customer service was fantastic! Will definitely be back.
Been here numerous times and this place has got to be one of the best pho restaurants I have ever, ever tried hands down. Its a damn shame they dont have a location in langley. Id be a regular pho sho!
Its ok. Ordinary Pho, at above ordinary prices.
Love their food, service was iffy but all around decent night out
Went every week. But soup is bland now. The lady that runs it is so rude to the staff. Btw one person is not enough staff.
Good food, large portions
Staff are excellent. I have only ordered the Pho soup. I find that the portion size for a large compared to other restaurants on the small size and the price $2.00 more. The Pho itself I would rate average. The restaurant is really clean and tidy give that a 4. Will return again and recommend
Went in for dinner. Place was about half full and soon after we arrived was basically full. Our server was very polite and even though she apologized for being slow, my wife and I had zero complaints. She was not slow at all so I said as much. We had a great time and loved the food and the ninja iced tea lol. If you are looking for good food that isnt going to empty your wallet you are in the right place. We will return. Probably in a few days.
Both this Little Saigon location and Little Saigon-Abbotsford are my preferred places to order Vietnamese takeout. The food quality is excellent. The saigon satay is my favorite menu item but everything Ive tried from their menu has been good. The service is prompt and courteous and my orders have been problem-free. This venue is small, so I havent dined in, but theres ample free parking.
favorite pho
Kind of disappointing with Pho soup taste.
This is the best Pho in town! The coconut curry is delicious too.
Nice, clean little restaurant. The staff are friendly and service is fast. Food is great. I had the chicken vermicelli bowl and it was pretty great. The iced tea they serve is absolutely delicious.
First time there.... Really good meal.
The soup tasted not right. The service and environment was ok. Not MSG issue, the beef soup did not taste like beef soup. The beef was too hard to chew.
Great service but the phô broth was watery and bland unfortunately.
Moved to kamloops still come back everytime I am in town! I always get the little Saigon special!
excellent food
If I could give no stars I would. Went with a group of 4, 2 got the stir fry which was served cold with pieces still frozen. Another got grilled chicken with rice, rice was old and hard. I got the Banh Mi the bread was so hard I couldnt crush it while trying and so little toppings in it I felt like I was just eating an old stale bun. Absolutely no customer service and we were the only group in there. Dont waste your time or money.
Little Saigon is great vietnamese food! The staff are amazing and will do everything in their power to make your experience the best it can be. Thanks for all the delicious meals, Ill definitely be back again and again! Keep it up staff and management!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pretty good
Very low quality food. Steamed brocoli and cauliflowers were definitely off, sadly very disgusting. 40$ for 2 people at this low level of quality is totally not worth it. One dish was barely tolerable. The rest we couldnt eat. Im pretty open minded in life and food but a ripoff is a ripoff
Great food
Great food and service
Best Pho around. Prices are on the high end. Or else 5 stars
Excellent food and service. A small restaurant in small that has a large menu. we enjoyed our Saigon platter with an extra side of pork spring rolls. We finished with fried banana and ice cream. Great dining experience. We will be back here!
The food quality is low There is no love put into the dishes We had a sticker on a vegetable cut up into our meal Very very pricey for salad and noodles and very small amount of meat The waitress was nice we did get credited for our meal We left there hungry tho Looks like we wont make it back to this one The Abbotsford Saigon is good but still pricey
Always good!
Super surprised to find this little gem working out in mission. Great friendly waitstaff, decent portions & a good price. Most likely the best pho restaurant I ve ever been to!
The poor girl running the front was super under trained and kept bringing dishes to the Wrong tables. Gave me the wrong dish but called it the one I ordered and did the reverse to one of our friends. Then the machines went down and we were told cash only. Train you team and don t waste our time, if I wanted to pay cash I would.
I got the pho nam its soo good. Great place!
Overpriced but good food
Love the food and am always down for some beef salad rolls.
Ordered Toms Special Bowl. Extra proteins. Was not disappointed. Great atmosphere and excellent service
love the saigon special. always has been good have ordered many times.
Good food, occasionally not the greatest service
Super great staff, delicious and timely food.
Awful awful awful. Showed up for lunch, before we even ordered they come up and grab condiments off our table for another couple without so much as looking at us. There were at least three other empty tables to do that. Staff was so rude and food was over double what I d pay at a usual place. Awful first impression and they re not getting a second one.
If you order their large size serving you will definitely get a large size meal. Restaurant was clean and quiet when I came in. The only thing I would pick about was that the seasoning between different Meats was inconsistent. Some were extremely salty and others were very playing.
Food was just OK. Service OK. But waaaay too overpriced for pho, usual Vietnamese fair. Small servings as well.
Hey folks, before you go here, you need to know that the owner doesn t pay their employees properly for time worked! Disgusting ethics here.
Pretty good pho
Best pho Ive ever had! Great service
Really unremarkable pho. Not very flavourful, and it took a lot of doctoring to get it to the level I was hoping for. My girlfriend had their meal combo #5 (all vegetarian) and was happy with it.
This is a little Vietnamese jem. Excellent food and excellent service.
Food was incredible & the service was excellent
consistently awsome
Top-notch vietnamese cuisine!
Horrible u can make this at hi.e with no cooking skills expensive and not worth any of it go try pho Abbotsford best pho in town its well worth the drive dont waste money here
Very expensive compared to most pho for a product that is subpar compared to others as well. Youre paying for the service and decor, not the food. Unfortunately its the only place to get pho in mission. If there was an alternative I would not come here again.
Food was good for me
Poor service, the staff ignored us after we placed our order. We waited for over an hour then the waitress asked us if we wanted the food to go.
Bean coming here regularly for awhile now, never dissapointed. Great service and food.
Great pho, good broth. Little pricy and few options for pho.
Great service and food.
Good Vietnamese food. The only thing I hate is that they serve tea in canning jars rather then pots Nd tea cups.
Delicious food, great atmosphere. A wonderful place for a date
Extremely disappointed! We ordered take out at 6:35 pm and were told our food would be ready for pickup at 7:00. We arrive at 7 and my husband stood in the restaurant for 30 mins watching people who had obviously just been seated get served their food while ours was still nowhere to be seen. When our food was finally ready at 7:35 he got to the car and noticed that our green curry had leaked inside the bag and made a giant mess due to it not being packed properly. At this point I was extremely frustrated not only was our time totally wasted now our dinner was a giant mess. I went back inside and requested to be given a discount off our order. SIX DOLLARS is all Little Saigon decided that 30 mins of our valuable time wasted and a ruined entree were worth. This restaurant obviously has major staffing issues and needs MORE staff. The poor girl inside was frazzled and the kitchen employee looked much the same. TWO staff for an entire restaurant during dinner rush is unacceptable. Little Saigon I gave you two stars because last time I ordered food from your establishment the service and food were much better.
Very delicious shredded chicken soup. Especially on a rainy day, or if Im feeling under the weather, this savoury soup hits the spot! Lovely Spring Rolls- he makes his own peanut sauce which is scrumptious. I often buy a bottle to take home, as he sells it there. My dads favourite was the rare beef soup.
Food is good, normally do take out and Ive never had an issue with them running late... But last time I picked up food it was a mandatory 15% tip... for take-out? Get out of here...
Food is okay and service is meh
Low quality pho and over priced If you want GOOD pho head to maple ridge on lougheed and go to Pho Songs .... half the price and double the quality with amazing service were the owner remembers you and if you come back will even remember what you like
Just paid $17 for a small, horrible sub par vermicelli stir fry. Won t be going back.
Went to pick up an order. Gave us wrong one. Then blamed my boyfriend for not paying attention. Food wasnt good. Wont go again. Used to be good.
The food taste off. And the prices are crazy. When I told the staff I wasnt paying for the pho she still insisted I paid... I took one bite and was completely turned off. Ive eaten at tons of pho places and this was the worst... The just need to update their ingredients
I fully agree with the other reviews that the quality of food is top notch. However, it is beyond frustrating that when ordering take out from this place, for the second time now theyve forgotten something on our order. Once it was meatballs for the meatball soup and now its peanut sauce for the salad rolls. That being said... Im sick at the moment and I cant suggest a better place to get pho than little saigon in mission. Nothing clears up your sinuses better than a big bowl of hot soup loaded with chili oil.
The staff are friendly but the food could use quite a bit of work. Raw spices in most of their soups is just the start of the issues.
Their large order is as large as their medium so questioning why I am paying more for the same amount? A little stingy on veggies as well. Food is decent enough
Great and quick service - very consistent high quality good - delicious!
An awesome Vietnamese experience. Great food. Friendly staff and quick service. Will definitely be back on my next Vancouver trip.
Excellent food very fresh
