Dec 2024: This was my first time back in years and wow has my opinion changed. We ordered take out. Waited in the restaurant. We were offered a seat and water which was super sweet. Got home, tried the food and all I can say is Ill be back. We ordered the red curry (panang) to share. Enough for two people. The spicy levels were amazing and it was so so flavorful. Highly recommend. 6 years ago: Food looked amazing, smelled amazing but lacked flavour. Didnt have that kick of thai spices. I ordered the veggie pad thai. Dont get me wrong, there were spices but just a hint of them, not enough to develop proper intense flavors you would want at a restuarant if youre spending $15 on a dish. My friend who ordered a thai curry said she liked hers but also agreed the pad thai didnt taste very good.

Quick friendly service. Food is really tasty and good sized portions. Cozy atmosphere and well kept. Vegetarian options: A few vegetarian options that s incorporated into the regular menu. The only plant based protein option is tofu- but the tofu was fresh so that was a bonus.

A great place to satisfy everyones different cravings. A little bit of everything done really well. The manager is an awesome person. We will be back.

I love axia restaurant we do quite a bit of take out from there we especially love their spicy shrimp and chicken dry pot ,red chicken and shrimp curry , shanghai noodles, steak udon ,black pepper steak and yen chow fried rice its a great dine in place as well... new dishes added to menu Thai fresh rolls and coconut curry noodle is so yummy you must try it out

We recently tried their new Thai menu and everything was amazing. We ordered the green curry, pad Thai, and the Tom Yum noodle soup and were impressed by how fresh the food tasted and by all the flavours. Axia restaurant has now gone a step further and introduced Thai cuisine to their menu. Paneng Curry and Pad Thai are both delicious and reminded me of my visit to Thailand Sticky mango Rice another Thai special. Manager Rick and his entire team go above and beyond to keep everyone happy.

We had a recent wonderful experience at this restaurant near me, prompting me to write this review. Axia, a restaurant I ve been to a number of times over the years, just released its new Thai menu and provided me and my daughter and friends a five-star lunch! My meal included a deliciously sweet, crunchy, and umami mango salad, fabulously creamy Thai green curry; and pyramid of fragrant jasmine rice. The rice was of a high quality, making the whole restaurant smell of its heavenly scent. My friends opted for Tom Yum noodle soup and Pad Thai, and my daughter went with a Japanese Chicken Katsu Bento Box instead of Thai food. Because of the new menu, we also got to try mango berry cheesecake and Thai iced tea, on the house! Delicious treats! I really like the ambience of this restaurant, with its more private seating areas and its beautiful decor, and the service has always been very good. The food today was better than usual, perhaps due to the new menu, and it was presented beautifully, too. I ve always been happy with the food at Axia, but the green curry, in particular, was divine with its pleasantly chewy, golden-fried tofu, broccoli, red pepper, and eggplant, all retaining their bright colours and a tender-crisp bite, amidst the creamy coconut based sauce. Yum! We will definitely be back! Prices were reasonable, as restaurants go, at around $21 for an entree. Vegetarian options: B

Very tasty food, and nice service, polite people

Axia never disappoints! Our family has been coming here for years. The general tso chicken is crispy and full of flavour. The shu mai is also flavorful and moist. It s such a nice calm atmosphere, perfect for our little one who gets overstimulated easily. Friendly service too. Can t wait to be back Kid-friendliness: High chairs available. I ordered the Tuna Poke Bowl, a Taro Milk Tea, and split Korean Dumplings (mandu) with a friend. The food was really good, and so was the service. I really liked the variety of options and the marketplace atmosphere!

More often than we care to admit, the quality of the places we spend time in rest in the memories we build there. It was our first time at Axia. It was a double date with a lovely young couple. Were celebrating 2 birthdays and this couples 1st wedding anniversary. There was a lot of reminiscing and reflection among the 4 of us sharing thoughts of Gods goodness and His promises of a blessed future. The remarkable, friendly service coupled with tasty dishes along with the spacious, welcoming ambiance added to make it a memorable evening. We got so engrossed in the moment that we stayed until closing. However, even with streams of people coming in we didnt feel the pressure or signs from staff to leave. In fact, it was the opposite. They always graced us with an inviting smile as they passed by and kept refilling our water so quietly so as not to disrupt our engaging conversations. They made us feel so relaxed - almost at home as guests in a friends house. Well be coming back in a heartbeat! Special thanks to Liana and Ria for the excellent and warm service. Note: the coconut cream pie is simply divine! Dont forget the unforgettable sizzling beef, calamari, and sweet and sour chicken!

My friends and I had a wonderful dining experience today while celebrating two birthdays. The food was well-priced with impressively generous portions especially the noodles! We tried several dishes, including the Singapore-style noodles, Chicken Katsu bento, sizzling ginger beef, vegetable supreme roll, Sake Lover s bento, Japanese roll bento, and Cantonese chow mein. Everything was flavorful and enjoyable. Alfa, our server, was amazing, and Rea was very thoughtful, checking in on our experience. We ll definitely return!

Everything was excellent. The poke bowl was extremely high quality with very fresh fish. The lamb stir fry was well done. The spicy dry fish came in a sizzling wok and had more fish than veg and had the perfect amount of numbing spice. Good quantity in each of the dishes served and had leftovers for lunch the next day. The service was excellent and restaurant was very clean.

We had an amazing date night here few days ago. Loved the sushi bento box with the miso soup and the spicy shrimp sizzlers! Second visit and same great experience. Tried the spicy schezuan chicken stir fried noodles and they were delicious !! (We asked for medium spicy)

Axia is my go to for Asian food. One of the best places in the GTA. Definitely a must try. The chicken dry pot and the sizzling beef are insanely good. Service is pretty good too. I wholeheartedly recommend Axia for any group gathering or even a one on one catch up with a friend

I had high hopes for this establishment, particularly because of its fully halal menu. Unfortunately, my dining experience earlier today left much to be desired. We began with the shrimp dumplings, which were disappointing. They lacked the freshness and flavor typically experienced at other Japanese restaurants. Additionally, they were served lukewarm, which detracted from the overall experience. Even AYCE spots such as Heart Sushi or K&B serve up fresh/hot dumplings so this is inexcusable. The sushi, while passable, did not justify its high price point. Compared against sushi establishments such as sushi4u, Dai Ichi, or Sushi Omigato which offer better value and higher quality tasting sushi, this was a major let down. Additionally, it was surprising to find that the menu lacked any tempura options, a staple in most sushi restaurants. Our final dish was the chicken chow mein, priced at nearly $20. For that amount, we were served a bowl of egg noodles, broccoli, and a few pieces of chicken. Both the flavor and portion size, particularly the amount of chicken, were underwhelming. In summary, while the concept of a fully halal Japanese menu is commendable, the execution fell short in terms of both quality and value. Would not recommend

Axia is our go-to place for after work dinner. Food selections are amazing and excellent customer service. My favorite to order is the Chicken Katsu bento box. The dessert, white chocolate blueberry cheesecake is delicious and the bubble tea is refreshing!

Some dishes may not have the taste that you d expect but most of their dishes are really good. Love their sushi as you can tell by the taste that the fish is 100% fresh daily!! Overall the food is great, love the decor and vibes of the restaurant, and the workers are ALWAYS so sweet and kind to customers! 10/10 service.

Was in the mood for sushi in Mississauga. Looked at google and found this place. We were pleased and satisfied with the sushi, sashimi and chicken dry pot. Alpha was our server who created a pleasant experience. We look forward to coming back. Hope to make this one of our goto spots.

We got there are around 7. Took us about 10 mins to be seated for a party of 3 even though half the restaurant was empty. The restaurant has a good ambiance and decor. No plates or cutlery was brought to our table more than 10 minutes after us being seated. No one even bothered to come to our table to ask us for water or drinks to start with. We had to flag our waitress down to get her to take the order. Ordered the Har Gow, 3 soups, a Sushi and Maki tray and the sizzling ginger beef with 2 bowls of white rice. Another 10 minutes and we had to flag someone else down to get our cutlery and plates. An additional 15 mins, we were brought our sushi and maki tray but no appetizer. After reminding them, it took another 5-10 mins for them to get the 2 out of the 3 ordered soups and har gow to us. The food was good but the service left a bad impression. After finishing what was served, we were still waiting for the beef and rice which would have taken even more time and at that point, wed lost our appetite. The problem imo was that for over 50 people in the restaurant, there were only 2 waitresses running around the restaurant. The were understaffed for the evening. If youre going to open for service on a holiday when most restaurants are closed, you should expect traffic and should have enough people working.

The Chicken Katsu Bento Box was very good, along with the sizzling ginger beef. It was very juicy, and the chicken was crunchy. Sushi was amazing, and the bento box was just amazing overall. Definitely recommend going here next time, not to mention the White Chocolate Blueberry Cheesecake is sweet, and delicious.

Food was great. Cheesecake doesn t taste like it s homemade, didn t like it. Tempura Oreo was good. Service was very fast but they don t check on you very often. No wine.

I went to Axia a couple years ago and remember being quite impressed by the food, so yesterday I suggested it as a dinner spot for my friends and I however we were very disappointed with the food and service. The food did not taste as good as I remember it being and the service was quite poor. Our server was taking long to take our order despite the restaurant not being busy and each time we asked for something such as napkins, a straw or a drink it took so long for it to come out. I didnt even end up getting my Perrier water that I ordered. Not to mention, they charge you for hot sauce....I assumed this is complimentary when ordering food. I dont think we will be going back.

As an experienced foodie - from Yasu to food truck - the food quality at Axia is subpar at best. Poke bowl is unflavored and has mostly rice and limited fish. And I cant recall any place Ive dined at didnt give out wasabi or soy sauce when ordering Japanese food items - I had to ask for it. Service is ok. They do have 1000 selections from dim sum to stir fry to pad Thai to poke, could be a good spot for someone to sample cultured dishes perhaps but far from ideal to someone who appreciates authentic food.

Axia is always a great go to place for Asian Fusion food.

While visiting family on this side of the GTA, I had the pleasure of eating here twice. I reside in Markham and I am very familiar with Asian cuisine and thoroughly enjoy it. This restaurant does a great job of fusing all kinds of Asian dishes under one restaurant. The owner is super friendly and accommodating. The staff know how to make a very delicious dirty martini and the menu prices are extremely reasonable in my opinion. The food here is well prepared and innovative. I have never had beef gyoza dumplings, fried. Looking forward to returning soon!

The restaurant was clean and the staff were friendly. Two items thats start the experience on a high note. The menu was easy to understand, and the menu pricing was fair for what our table ordered. So far, its a pretty good place to be sitting and about to order. The dish presentation was excellent and colorful. The food was abundant and tasted so fresh and good. The meal was filling and satisfying. Its a place I would revisit and extend to others to visit. Its a little ways from my home, but I look at it as part of the adventure going out and meeting friends. Try it, youll like it. Vegetarian options: Since its fish and vegetables, you can safely eat to your own preference. Dietary restrictions: Lots of healthy choices to choose from. Parking: When you see the restaurant and drive to an open parking spot. Park and get out and walk to the door and enjoy the experience.

We have been here yesterday evening for the first time. Impressively kind staff and atmosphere that gives you Japanese vibes. We liked being there. It s a quiet nice place to be with a family and friends. Waiters were so friendly and welcoming also helpful with menu . We tried noodles for the first time and we liked it also it was best Halal sushi I ever had in Mississauga .I m so happy that we found this place. There was plenty of parking it was easy to find the place . There also an outdoor place too . Next time will seat there

We didnt know there was such a restaurant in Erin Mills, but were so glad we know now. The food was amazing, especially the bento box . Also, the restaurant itself is fantastic it definitely gave a Asian vibe. Definitely will visit again.

Great experience! Our second visit here. First.time we went it was very busy and took awhile to get a table. We ordered chicken katsu bento box, the hot pot lamb, and noodles. This time we ordered the same plus salmon, and shrimp rolls. Food is really great. Manager was offering water top up to everyone whi h was so humble and kind. Compared to American restaurants you would never see the manager and they would definitely be dresssed differently than the staff. Several times we were asked if everything was to our liking. Service was magnificent and a novelty these days.

I love this place! This is the second time Ive been here and both times, the food was amazing and the service was excellent! I was surprised that there werent that many customers on a Sunday afternoon. Theres a good variety of foods to choose from ... Japanese, Chinese, Korean & Southeast Asian. The portions are generous and can be shared among friends and family. We had the sizzling ginger beef today and it was nice and tender and tasty! (Rice and sides are not included though.) Last time, we had the Cantonese Chow Mein and it was delicious! The dining area was spacious and clean ... and I loved the decor! The waitresses were very friendly and helpful! Lots of free parking as well. Please try this place out! You will be glad you did!

Went for my daughters 16th birthday. The food was very good however the service was initially quite slow. Took almost 40 mins to get some edamame. When the food started to come out, it was much quicker. The ambience was lovely.

We got the fried rice and it has 0 seasoning, was white and plain. The sushi was bare min, tempura bits mostly, the bbq pork app was 95% fluff with the smallest amount of beef. The food was just not very good, I remembered it being much better will not be returning.

Would say this was a top Knotch spot.. but after recently ordering takeout over the weekend. To spend so much money just to have your whole order mixed up and wrong.. i would say you need to train new staff much better.. if they do not no how to take a proper order.. they shouldnt be upfront.. very dissapointed with my purchase

Used to be good, but now the food is mediocre. I used to go here a few times a year, but I will not be going back again. We like the sushi, spicy salmon rolls. For the mains we ordered the sizzling beef skillet, it was chewy, and chili chicken, which was too spicy to even eat. The cheesecake dessert was overpriced and tasted like it was from a grocery store freezer. The waiter bringing water was great, but our server was slow and didn t clear the table for a long time after we finished.

Went to Axia for date night and boy were we glad to come here. We drove all the way from Winona and were not disappointed. Finally a good non hakka chines place that serves all halal meat. We ordered dim sums, hot n sour soup, axai dragon roll, udon noodles and the beef dry pot! Everything was off the charts! If you like spicy food then their dry pot was is the way to go. The udon were extremely flavorful. I asked for sticky rice (steamed rice) and it turns out that sticky rice is a special rice dumpling with chicken or pork and since thats not what I ordered they took it away and off the bill even though it was my fault and the manager kept apologizing. Even though the food alone deserves 5 stars but the service was the cherry on top and sealed the deal. Surprised that we havent heard that much about this place. Really excited to come back again.

There is not much to say about this location because I did my order online. It was simple to navigate from online but I went to pick up my food and they gave it a certain time that it would be done and by the time I picked it up it was hot and ready to go. The staff were nice and greeted with a smile it was a quick pick up and go and that was good enough for me because I would not want to show up after 45 mins and wait more time so I was happy. When I got home I set up the food and ate, it was good hot and fresh and cooked good with flavor. I would try to eat in next time to get a better experience and recommend you try it out for yourself, and again I did only pick up so done in might be different experience.

My wife and I eat here and order take out all the time it is the only place we get our Asian food fix. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Cute Asian restaurant

The ambiance was great. Nice looking restaurant. But unfortunately we went there on Father s Day, and I guess they were short staffed and / or poorly managed. We had to wait over 20 mins for a table that we reserved a couple of days in advance and the waiters themselves look stressed out. We had 3 different waiters during our lunch. Thankfully we were informed as we sat, food will be delayed so we ordered it all at once to avoid further delays. The last waiter, Lianne was nice. She saved the day and hence the three stars. Our Hot & Sour soup came out to be too sour ( all you could taste was the vinegar) so she was kind enough to give the kids bubble tea and ice cream on the house.

Amazing variety, beautiful presentation and excellent quality sushi. Good portions, calamari was great, good sake selection. On our most recent visit, the fried rice seemed like it was not stir fried, and a very light colour. Maybe due to struggling to keep up. Poke bowl had nice sushi fish portion, but really needed more vegetables. Been here several times over a long period, and they seem constantly understaffed. They clearly work very hard, but the servers are also doing some of the food prep so there is a long wait every time. You need to be patient to go here, but its good food.

We ordered take out from this place. The preferred service provider ChowNow scheduled the pickup for after the restaurant closed. I couldnt find any updates as you need the app and you apparently cannot download their app in Mississauga. I tried calling the restaurant multiple times with no answer for over 30 minutes only to have them finally pick up and be sassy with me that I havent picked up my order and they were about to close. You need to make changes to your preferred ordering system and your staffs attitude. The food was good though.

I tried the California and shrimp tempura rolls , both were so delicious and the rolls are quiet big

Visited Axia for the first time and enjoyed each and every dish. There was nothing that we did not enjoy. All the members of the staff are also very nice.

If you like spice and thicker noodles the Spicy Schezwan Chicken StirFry Noodles from the Chef s Menu is a must try!!

Restaurant was overwhelmingly busy a long wait for service and food. But proactive server kept us informed and brought us extra appetizers while we waited as well as apologized multiple times for the delay!

The varsitie of food and quality are top notch. My family and I have been coming here for more than a decade for many different occasions and never once have been disappointed. Depending on how busy they are, the service can be hit and miss but the staff are very pleasant

Food was alright. However our server was completely lazy, rude and not a bone of service in her. This was Sunday 24th and for the most part the restaurant only had a few other tables. We were not provided any napkins for our food, nor water was refilled. I asked for napkins and was never provided any. After receiving our food we asked to order white rice which was never provided to us. When the server came around after almost an hour we explained she never came to give us the white rice we ordered and not once did she apologize or even ask if there was anything else she can do. The fact that she made a mistake by not providing all the items in our order she didn t provide napkins ask us how we are doing or even refill our water is beyond me. She had no sympathy and did not once acknowledge her mistake. All she said was ok she provided us the bill and didn t even ask us how we are paying and if we wanted to split the bill and just left. This was absolutely unacceptable service. The lighting is extremely dark even in the women s restroom it s basically a dark room with a horrible stench. The whole restaurant was smoky and I kept coughing due to it. There needs to be a better air system. Never coming back here again because of the lack of service. She clearly had issues with us for whatever reason abd this was completely uncalled for.

Wide variety of options. Loved the Sushi and Ginger beef and Shangai noodles. Fried rice and soups were decent. Tempura cheesecake & blueberry cheesecake were yummy.

Got the sushi sashimi platter, its pretty expensive for the quality youre getting $70 for 35 piece, plus surcharge to replace the 6 California rolls with spicy salmon. You can get much better quality fish and rice at an actual Japanese restaurant for same price or less. The salt and pepper calamari was pretty good though. Service was really slow for a Tuesday night too.

Food is amazing, good portions and fair pricing. The service is great and the staff are always friendly they always acknowledge a returning customer.

As soon as we entered Rhea greeted us with a smile. It was our first time at this restaurant the place was clean with nice ambient lighting. The food was made fresh and the price is moderate. I highly recommend this place to friends and family as the food is made fresh with a friendly service. Hope to visit again soon. Parking: Lots of parking

Its our fist time here and when you entered the restaurant its really nice atmosphere, people are nice and very professional! We ate general tso chicken, sizzling chicken and fried rice its really delicious! The tiramisu cheesecake its fantastic! Not too sweet just balanced taste! We are going to come back for sure!

Our go to restaurant. We enjoy the food here. The staff are friendly & accomodating especially Rhea & Caira. Highly recommended.

I hate to leave a bad review, but I am not sure how else to really notify people and the owners of fixing their ways in order to provide better service. I work closely with merchants in the food service industry and I am aware of many things that are of minimum level requirement when it comes to dining and take out. I was appalled at the level of service we endured the other night (Eid Night to be exact) where out of 10 tables, only 6 of them were full. We had a larger group (6) people which I don t find quite large especially when they are seated in the middle. Our food was late, after 20 minutes we got appetizer, then 40 minutes later we got our first dish which was Shanghai noodles and we re supposed to come with another dish we ordered together. Our waters were practically finished by the time the food came and no one came to check up on us on refill. Other diners were waiting to pay their bill, even though the kitchen was cooking and we can hear all the sounds. Majority of the staff were standing at their pos systems for most of the night and running around when they seemed fit. From my perspective they were prioritizing delivery food over diners which is rudely unacceptable. Because we arrived at 7:45 and only started eating our main dishes at 8:45-9:00pm. They gave us a complimentary noodles dish for the inconvenience but having four servers is not understaffed. It means you are not managed properly and have no idea what priority is. This would be the first time and the last time I go here with a large group. Thankfully what saved them from us walking out of there and not needing to pay was that the food tastes good. Not great, not hot and fresh, not terrible, not cold just good. Needless to say I wish the owners or managers would take care of their in-house first and put a pause on the deliveries or take some initiative into bringing in more staff to take care of in-house diners.

Good tasting food! ..when you get it lol. waited 1 hour 15 mins before we got our meal and the staff s excuse was we re slammed .. which wasnt really the case as there were open tables throughout the restaurant. If you dont have enough cooks, then thats just signs of poor management. I would of given the benefit of the doubt as everyone has bad days.. but this is a recurring issue at Axia and needs to be addressed immediately.

Love this place!! The atmosphere is so pretty, and relaxing. The staff are vary friendly, kind, and courteous. Would highly recommend this place and definitely come again!.

Delicious food and service.

What a shame that such a big and well known restaurant charges their customers for a basic chilli oil that should be given with the food regardless, as a condiment considering it s a Thai restaurant. Moreover there is inconsistency in what their servers say, it s not the first time I ordered in and all of the times I wasn t charged and today they decided to charge for a tiny winy box of chilli oil. Moreover the customer service was rude and arrogant. Such a shame that this used to be my go to/comfort Thai restaurant and due to one bad customer service experience it no longer will be my go to! Thanks Axia for charging a customer for something basic that must come with the food and for being arrogant about it when questioned that this was never the case.

Best Chinese food in the town. Chicken and beef dishes are mouth specially watering and halal . Reasonable prices.

The food was delicious and the price is great for the amount of food you get (you can easily split one portion for two people).

We had a great experience. The host and server were very polite and gave us updates often when our table is ready. The food was delicious and seasoned to perfection. Hats off to the chefs. We order the sizzling eggplant, sizzling ginger beef and dry pot lamb. Meat was tender and juicy. Food came out pretty fast too. The best thing on their drink menu is their LYCEE SOJU!!! They make their own recipe in house.

The food is always good. The one thing that me and my family dont like is why did they change the way serve the curry. There is only chicken and NO curry. Why would they serve only very little curry in this new serveware. Bring on the same way you used to serve before.

I got the katsu bento. The salad and katsu were really oily and the rice was kinda wet and overcooked. The sushi was good though. Recommend the sushi if your coming here

Chilli chicken is my favorite here

We visited the place recently to try the sushi. The staff were welcoming and helpful, especially in recommending dishes. The chicken is halal. We tried a few dishes such as california roll, spicy shrimp roll sushi, vegetarian springs rolls, and Korean vegetarian springs (Mandu). The atmosphere is great and the place is clean and neat.

The quality is good, but pricing is crazy and the sushi menu is limited.

Ill just say its FANTASTIC and never tends to dissapoiht when Im just craving some fresh good sushi, complemented with the service and ambiance. Youll just want to come back again for sure!!!

Awsome food .Service needs improvement. Must have a new owner or manager now, quite a few mixups and incomplete orders. Check your order before leaving. Well its been a great improvement since last visit. Food stiil great but service has improved dramatically and atmosphere is much much better. Great comeback. Keep it up.
