Went with friends to see a live band, who were wonderful. The servers were extremely professional, not just with serving food and drink, but they were also extremely capable in handling the special demands of a live music venue. The only reason that the food did not get 5 stars is that my risotto arancini were not as flavourful as I would have expected them to be. The pizza was excellent and there are dishes to suit most tastes.
Dinner was great! Our server was polite and considerate. We did not feel rushed, hurried or anxious. The food was savoury, delicious and most importantly, served hot!
Fantastic place! The bands are awesome! Back patio is the best for bands. Staff is amazing! Food is delicious. I’ve been back many times .. by myself and with my husband… always friendly and fun! 😊
The meal started well with a pair of nice crab cakes that elevated our expectations for the rest of the dinner. Unfortunately, the calamari was dry and flavourless. It was hand dusted and the batter was decent, but the calamari itself was chewy. The stuffed sole was decent but some of the scallops inside were not fully cooked. The seafood linguini was well presented but the pesto sauce lacked flavour and the pasta was lackluster. The meal was unfortunately marred by a number of flies hovering around and diving into our food, which is rather off-putting.
We recently celebrated our legal wedding ceremony with a dinner at the Shore Grill and Grotto with a group of 13 and our pup. We have nothing but wonderful things to say about our experience. Maureen and her team were able to set up a beautiful table and help set up a menu for our guests. Our seafood appetizers featuring calamari, mussels and coconut shrimp were delicious. Every one of our guests tried a different entree and everyone enjoyed their meal. Some fan favourites included the seafood linguine, penne gorgonzola and the chicken marsala. Some of our guests were vegetarian and gluten free, so it was also very nice that they had options. There even was a pup menu! The night was made especially special as there was a live band playing. It was just such a great meal and perfect setting. We definitely recommend this wonderful establishment for any celebration or just a nice (not too pricey) meal and a cold beer on the patio with your fur family. This place will always be one of our go-to Port credit spots and now hold a special place in our hearts. Thank you again to the Shore Grill and Grotto for hosting a memorable evening dinner for us!
Went here with my family the other day for dinner. The servers are nice and attentive and the decor is nice. I ordered the chicken parmesan. The serving size is nice and it tasted good
We changed up our Christmas eve and decided to dine here with friends. We had to walk through the bar/performance area in order to get to the restaurant. We were greeted by attentive and helpful staff who promptly took our drink and appetizer order. Mostly everyone was happy with their meal, except for Steak asked to be done Medium, was not to the satisfaction of the recipient. More a personal preference then a kitchen issue. The waiter kindly offered to bring it back to cook a little longer and all was well. The saganaki appetizer was delicious and a little more well-done then I am used too, but still provided the desired cheese pull. My salmon was cooked to perfection and those who enjoyed the Haddock and fries went home happy. It was a perfect start to the holiday weekend.
I went to the Shore Grill and Grotto this past weekend with my family, a group of 8 adults, 2 babies, and a puppy (the patio is pet friendly). We went for lunch and had a great time. The service was incredible, and the food was even better. I have some picky individuals in my family, and there wasn't a single complaint. I will definitely be visiting here again. Thank you to the Shore team for a memorable experience.
Relaxing atmosphere. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food was tasty
Drinks were mid. And the beer was metallic tasting. They replaced them tho. If youre in the dining area you cannot see the band. Food was fantastic. And good sized portions Food
I just had an Amazing Pasta dish in the Grotto.. The waiter Elio was very friendly and very accommodating as I changed the Linguine dish to a red sauce.. Which was so tasty.. With the band playing in the background, it was the perfect atomispher... Had a delish piece of cherry cheesecake to end my lovely evening... Again... the perfect evening at Shore ...
Joined my brother and cousin for a family catch-up dinner mid-wk (Thurs). Chose this place solely because of the good reviews, and expectations were exceeded! Great menu, superb food when it arrived, and a special thanks to Marnie, our server / immediate friend, who made the evening even more special. Strongly recommended!
You have to try the PIZZA I was a Sous chef from many years ago, travelled 63 countries and have never tasted a Pizza like Adams, the Pizza God at the Shore. One time I ordered 2 on the same night. Try the Margarita, you won t be disappointed. Adam deserves a Michelin Star! Well done Adam!!!
The food our friends ordered was decent, nothing spectacular. Pretty average. We came to enjoy the live music and some drinks. The drinks unfortunately were NOT good at all. They all tasted watered down. I ordered a vodka martini and friend ordered a double rye and Pepsi - both didn t taste anything like they should have. The manager came to our table and served us a vodka shot in front of us from the bottle and in an effort not to make her feel bad we told her it was better but in reality it wasn t. It still tasted pretty watered down. The manager was very sorry and promised us that the alcohol wasn t tampered with. Whatever it is, it wasn t what we were hoping for.
Shore Grill and Grotto offers everything fun and accommodating for an excellent evening out. Food, the staff, and music, the perfect winning trifecta rarely seen in many bars and restaurants, especially since the days of Covid lockdowns. Patio events, during the summer months are exceptional and the haste and efficiency with which staff recovered from a recent and unexpected downpour by moving everyone inside was so much more welcome than merely cancelling music for the evening. Thanks to staff for getting us reseated and moving our food inside. A special thank you to the band for the heavy task of moving gear inside, setting up, and preparing sound to be able to get playing again and even stay a little later than planned. I look forward to many more visits!
Andrew, Matt & Gail were fantastic. Beautiful upscale restaurant on the water. Fabulous view. You gotta go here! Vegetarian options: Pizza Parking: Very accessible. Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible
Weve been to Shore several times, sometimes for dinner and other times for drinks and to watch the bands. We had a group of 6 there last Saturday, and the food was delicious, and service was great. We watched- Red Velvet perform, and they were outstanding. So much fun, great band and set list
The band is so loud on Monday nights
Food was excellent!
Great place and atmosphere!
Great service, food and Drinks. It wasn t loud at the time we went(5.30) very nice experience Food
Had coconut shrimp as an appetizer, over fried. Husband had salmon dish super bland. Atmosphere was super quiet and floors look like they hadn t been swept in weeks. Will not return!
One of the best places in Port Credit for live music. Outdoor patios, great service and good food. The best ingredients for a good night out.
We sat on the back patio. It was a nice atmosphere, with live music being set up behind us. Caesar salad was very good, service was great. They are dog friendly, which was very helpful for us. They even have a pup menu, which was cute.
The food is amazing! Best steak Ive ever had. The service is excellent! The staff are friendly. Wine and drink list is extensive. Great for celebrating birthdays or other special occasions. I highly recommend them!
Food was good. There was a live band the night we visited- too loud There was a mixup with one order. Food
Had the entire dining room to ourselves for lunch, but we werent mad about it. Food was plentiful and delicious, service was impeccable and would not hesitate to return. Thanks, Louise for the great service for a birthday celebration!
Great ambiance and live music.
Went here for my mother s 50th birthday. Unfortunately the customer service, especially at the bar, was poor to say the least. While the dinner service was alright; the band (which was the main draw for us) was to start at 7.15 and by the time we were leaving 2 hours later still nothing. Adding to that, the absolutely rude bartender (blonde, high ponytail) who stated we MUST order a drink to sit at the bar (after having already ordered a full dinner and several drinks before and during dinner). A bar we were sitting at to see a band that was supposed to start 2 hours beforehand?! Definitely can say customer service is not their strong suit. Maybe good vibes, if and when the band gets going, not that we would know.
We tried the Oyster Tuesday as we had a craving. Staff weren t sure what kind of oysters they offered, which seemed strange since it is a special every day. They checked, and ended up being New Brunswick product that week but assured they were fresh. They were good, with horseradish crème and seafood sauce as condiments. Also had crab cakes that were okay and risotto balls were dry. Wine prices were high but did have daily specials. Staff were very pleasant but not that attentive, as we had to seek out someone to pay up. Will try again with live music, as that would definitely be an asset.
Overall
Great little place, nice view from patio, good food, somewhat reasonable prices, and service is decent
Usually a really awesome experience. Disappointed recently. Was there last night in the band out in the parking lot area played so loudly that even after having To move tables, I asked for my bill and had to leave. The music was so loud and the base was playing so heavily that it was unbearable I couldn t even eat my food or enjoy my company The band was mediocre to boot. You could hear the music two blocks away I have no idea what they were thinking or how the owner or manager of this place thinks that that is reasonable. I ended up paying $29 for a hamburger and a pop. Apparently, they charge six dollars for when the band is playing, Which, if it was more of an experience, I would have no issue paying or at least being told about it I should add that when one of the servers asked the band if they could tone it down a bit, they publicly became sarcastic about the volume and made a statement about trying to compete with El jefe s across the street.
Great place to go!!
What an amazing restaurant on so many levels. Great vibe, music, the food was incredible from the Pizza to Chicken marsala, coconut shrimp, salmon, burgers, calamari, wings made to perfection, to the perfect dessert platter. The service was impeccable by the dedicated staff. Maureen and Cam (owners) could not do enough to make our occasion special. They even ordered special wine in for the Birthday girl. Reasonable pricing which we expected to pay more by restaurant standards. Ambience was perfect from outside patio to the Grotto room for dinner. We couldnt have asked for anything better. A must go to in Port Credit. Thank you to everyone at the Shore Grill and Grotto. Anita Marshall
Evening at the back of this business is incredible ! Benches nicely set up. Nice setting with a band. A must visit. Summer only.
We were drawn to the shore because of the pet friendly sign. I was so so happy that we could dine with our pups and boast a pup menu! Our server was so pleasant and service was great and the food was Amazing! Thank you and see you again soon
HORRENDOUS experience! Its such a shame as it could be potentially a nice place, but the staff except one guy is absolutely outrageous. Obnoxious, snarky at best. We will NEVER come back and make sure none of our friends do. Some people are just miserable and should never be in a customer service period. One thing the blonde girl with a pony tail and a baseball hat did do, though, she has managed to make us feel incredibly unwelcome. So good job on that. Its no surprise to see other reviews complaining about the same person as well as other staff and how they treat customers. Hopefully, she stops driving people away and changes her attitude.
Food was excellent. Tried the baked penne pasta. Id definelty go next time im in Port Credit. Service from both girls working that night were amazing. So friendly and nice. Highly recommend. Parking: Parked my boat at snug harbour.
Dropped in this past Canada Day weekend and I can t say enough wonderful things about our experience and the service received. We were served by a fantastic woman named Rebecca or Rachel (unsure of which) but regardless of the name she made our evening memorable. Thank you for providing my husband and I with above and beyond service and for providing us with some of the best customer service imaginable!!! The music and food was on point, we will return soon.
We came to shore grill and grotto as a group of eight and let s just say we are not going back. I ll start with the service - not a great experience. The server got our drinks wrong, charged us for an extra drink, wrote everything down and still got our bills wrong. I am not sure if she was over worked or what was going on but she seemed so dazed and not at all polite or apologetic. The drinks were so watered down, I could barely taste anything but ice. I think everyone s food was average not the best but me and someone else ordered the fajitas and I am not even sure how this was served as food. The chicken was burnt and unseasoned. Request to the restaurant and kitchen - please don t serve this to anyone. The waitress asked us if we wanted to speak to the manager and we said nope - we just wanted to pay our bill and leave. She brought us our bills, it was wrong, but again we just wanted to leave. Now the wait begins, after 20mins of waiting we got up to go inside to find someone who could help us so that we could pay and leave. Turns out our waitress was looking for a machine. But I don t think she was searching very hard because we were able to pay inside on a portable machine. I will say this, they had plenty of staff to bring out the food and clear our plates. They were very efficient with that but overall it was still poor. I think enough said - I am sure they are really busy on a Saturday night but our experience was very mediocre.
Would have been 5 stars except there were definitely not enough chairs on the large patio, picnic tables are to supplement the other chairs that had a back for support. IMO the lower patio is where most of the business is during the weekend and a large amount of people are over 40 and have broken bits here and there! It s an amazing vibe, great live music, dancing and amazing food! It s is a prime location on the street so that you can continue to the next venue after the band finishes at 11:00 pm (noise by-laws)by walking down a street full of pubs and food. We all had a great time and plan to visit monthly, as we live about 1- 1.5 hrs away ! And special appreciation for Becky, our server and the person who was flying around to other sections just to help out with a smile. No matter the request, Becky gets it done and done excellently! Check out Shore in Port Credit for sure!!!!
Never had a bad meal here, bonus with a live band on the weekends
Food wasnt great, plain, tasteless. We ordered two pizzas, and 3 mains, that didnt arrive at the same time. The waitress although very friendly, we barely saw all night, water wasnt refilled and everything took so long.
Met at the Grotto with a bunch of friends, Nice place at Port credit area. The gathering space was a bit stuffy for 15 and the lights were a bit low. The menu was small but everything was tastefully prepared. It was an enjoyable event and I recommend a visit with family if you must. Patio seating was ok. Live band on weekends is always welcome event!!
I wanted to like it but the burger was so dry it should ve been illegal to serve it like that . Pizza was mediocre as well I would eat elsewhere next time
Fantastic experience. Live music. Great food. Service was good.
Nice place
Fast service, super fast service, best waiter, took care of the patio and dinning and served everything within seconds. Bravooo!
Went in to see the live music - did not plan to stay long at all. There were 4 of us and our group ordered 1 appetizer and 1 order of alcohol. The lady who served us, maybe in her 40s, blonde hair with ponytail, kept pushing us to order more food. I understand we need to order to sit inside, but our group did order stuff and wasn t just sitting and drink water. It s not a big order, but we weren t obnoxious. We walked in at maybe 8:30 PM and didn t even sit for no longer than half an hour and this server kept hounding us to order stuff. I understand policies, but the condescending tone put us off. I ve been to Shore and it was great - but after the interaction with this lady, I might reconsider that.
Excellent place, food was so good, big Portions btw, try to share a meal between 2, music , atmosphere, place so nice Food
Food variety missing, fun place, great service
Me and friends was looking for a patio and drinks. We stumbled to this place and its cozy. Loved the vibes but i hope they have more cocktail choices. Also, Kinsley (server) was very friendly.
We sat in the front patio which was cool if you dont mind the Latino music across the street. The food was amazing!!! Nothing to complain about except for the overpriced Edamami. Food
Great location and the food/service equally as good. Nice place to relax.
Parking: Large parking lot. Food
Ah Shore! As a friend of mine put it so well. Shore is an oasis of live music! And the foods great! If you want to have a nice meal, drinks, you can stay on the dining room side. And you can go to the bar side and see great live music almost every day of the week. And in the Summertime they have a large sunny patio out back with live music Thursday to Sunday! One of my favourite places.
Love this place. Great food, service and atmosphere. Cant wait to get back!
Excellent vibe with pure live music to bring all the elements together. A mature crowd without the drama. Food : 5/5
Good gave me diarrhea.
Our server was great, and my son had a great medium rare steak, but the nachos looked like they came from a high school cafeteria (there was no evidence that an actual chef assembled them), and the margarita pizza was burnt on the edges and raw in the middle. We were the only customers in the dank, uninviting dining room at the time, and there was constant laughter and chatter coming from the kitchen which in itself is fine, but in this context, it made it clear to me no one was paying attention to the kitchen s output. The food spoke to laziness all around.
Wonderful experience, great staff & the live music was so much fun
I love coming to Shore Grill & Grotto. Inviting atmosphere with live music every night. I love coming out for Jam nights. Staff and service are amazing. I had the nachos last night and they were fully-loaded and delicious!! This is my go to spot in Port Credit. Highly recommend!
Great food, even better people can t say enough good things about this place, highly recommend!
The food was delicious. The Halibut Chowder was amazing as well as the Halibut and Chips. And the mussels were perfect, and the size of the order was huge. And special thanks to our server, Melinda, and chatting with Maureen on our way out was very nice. Wil definitely be back!!
Recently , my family and I embarked on an Easter weekend dining adventure at Shore Grill and Grotto, and the experience surpassed all expectations. From the ease of booking to the seamless organization upon arrival, every aspect of our visit was top-notch. Upon our arrival, the staff greeted us warmly and efficiently accommodated our group, which spanned from the tender age of three to the venerable age of 90. As we perused the extensive menu, we were pleasantly surprised by the diverse array of options available, catering to every palate and dietary preference within our group. However, what truly impressed us was the impeccable execution of each dish. Our food was excellent and it s safe to say that the food exceeded our expectations, leaving us delighted and thoroughly satisfied. I must give a special commendation to the Shore Grill and Grotto team for their ability to handle larger groups with such finesse. The seamless service and attention to detail ensured that our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Shore Grill and Grotto, particularly for those seeking a memorable dining experience with family and friends. Whether its a special occasion like Easter weekend or a casual gathering, Shore Grill and Grotto delivers on all fronts, making it a standout destination for food lovers of all ages.
Always a fun time, live bands every night!
Band on Thursday night is killer best band in Toronto for sure. Great staff!
I ve been thinking about the seafood linguine for a month now since I got it. The food here was really good, I got the seafood pasta and the garlic bread both of which I recommend. The seafood pasta with lemon sauce was just so refreshing with perfectly cooked seafood. The service was really good, we sat in the dining area but we could hear live music coming from the other side it was nice. Really nice ambience, would definitely come back.
Had a lovely dinner with my friend. Parking could be a little difficult to find
You have to walk in through the bar area to get to the dining. The environment is nice and calm, theres booths available. The seafood linguine was 10/10. I highly recommend. The 12oz NY strip is exactly how youd want a good steak to be. Portions are great. The service is top notch. Very please with the amazing service. Will return again.
Normal bar favs. Nice view in the enclosed patio area.
Mississauga staple you gotta try
Stopped in to Shore Grill and Grotto this past weekend. They had a live band playing which caught my attention when walking by. When I got inside it turns out they have a live band every night! I loved the atmosphere of the lounge and even checked out the back patio. There were TVs and heating lamps so it was comfortable enough to be outside too. This will definately be my new spot come summer. As for food, my waitress suggested I try the fajitas and I was not dissapointed. The food portions were huge and it was served on a sizzling hot plate. Next time I will try out the pizzas as I saw a couple fly by me to other tables and they looked delicious. Would definately reccomend you stopping in to this local Port Credit hot spot for your next night out. You will not be dissapointed!
We hosted a birthday celebration in their private dining space. Maureen was incredibly helpful and supportive throughout, and ensured that the evening was special and executed as planned. The food and drink were fantastic, and the overall atmosphere was perfect!
Cam Wife is kicking people out poor people go there terrible service
Perfect!
First time visiting this place Ive heard so much about! I didnt get to stay long but will definitely be back!
This is the best spot in Port Credit!! Amazing amazing staff.
Shore burger is the best Great price Good company Food : 5/5
I have been going here since DAY ONE .. last year the goof behind the bar that thinks he owns the place .. which he does Not JUMPS the gun because he is desperate and comes to my table harassing my wife s .. meanwhile she has been the focal point of harassment on the past because yes she is hot and the old farts don t like her.. so this guy comes over playing big shot taking my drink away saying WE are the issue when we have done nothing wrong but him being the hero makes a scene saying both of us are the issue meanwhile the table of drunk old girls are NO ISsUE .. so we left .. NEVER TO COME BACK this male bartender who thinks he owns the place needs to be taken our back and taught some manners!!!! Maureen .. you need to be far more accountable for your sloppy staff . That is who kills your Business Next time he talks to my wife that way we can talk in the back Alley behind the. bar one to one Cheeer
I came here for my birthday and was pleased food and drinks were amazing
All eyes on me and my partner as we walked through the bar and then while we stood at the bar waiting for service. Waited 5 minutes, with the eyes still upon us. We left instead of staying for a drink!
Real great service, staff are amazing, the band crushed it. Its worth it going!
My first time and the food was delicious, our server was excellent and the atmosphere was great. The separate dining room was perfect to enjoy a quieter dinner while the band played in the bar area. I didn t notice a choice to book the bar or dining room when I made my reservation as I definitely would have picked the bar. I guess I ll have to go back!
Amazing atmosphere and a very cozy place. Especially the dinner area. I didnt try the food since I was looking for a cup of tea and a cherry cheesecake. I got exactly that. The host was amazing and welcoming. She made sure everything was taken care of. I definitely recommend this place. Parking: Plenty of paid parking on the street, side streets, and also public parking
Great food, portion sizes, selection, service, live music ( Saturdays) and dog friendly patio. Would recommend if youre in the Port Credit area.
Awesome food and good portions, live music is a plus, some of the drinks(that i tried) were delicious.
We celebrated our anniversary with our family, including our children and puppy (patio is pet friendly). The service was excellent and all dishes were absolutely delicious. We will be visiting again.
Condescending and uneducated staff really is the perfect combo to get rid of return customers. Make sure to check your plates and cutlery on the table as they were dirty and had previous customers food or hair on it. Food that was ordered was great and saved the review by a little but overall disappointing service and atmosphere.
Great dinner and service
We come here for the Amazing Seafood Linguine and desserts...Melinda our server, made our experience that much better.
Love that I can bring my pup to the back patio, lots of other cute dogs there too with kind staff! Cant wait to come back for some pizza, but the apps were perfect for the hot day :)
Brought my pup here and she was not happy and being loud/barking. We had to leave because she was giving us trouble but the staff were very kind and the customers were understanding. We were able to try their grilled calamari and it was delicious! Cappuccino and beer was fresh! Will definitely come back without the pup!
Crab cakes were not that good.. the bruschetta was expensive. The mains were ok. The service was fine.
This place would be good for the live music and some beers, but dinner wasn t for me. I got $30 fajitas that were mediocre at best and my buddy had the $40 steak that came from the local breakfast diner. Great atmosphere and location, but I ll pass on the food.
Great spot with live music. Good selection of beer on tap. Back patio has a good relaxed atmosphere.
Place was okay, stuffs were nice and fast, but the food was so average we ordered two different pasta and drinks. It didn t satisfy us, it was lack of even salt and pepper. Only for drink and environment can be tried.
The service and atmosphere were good but the food is mediocre. My seafood linguine was drenched in oil and lacked flavour and my husbands steak was over cooked and dry. The plate portions were a good size but I am disappointed in the food.
Had the mussels in white wine garlic sauce and fried calamari. Everything tasted great and service was friendly.
When someone says thank you for your money after a tip makes me question myself why I go out inthe first place
Quite a nice bar but this place doesnt care about the city they operate in. Their back patio concerts are every single night and disrupt the lives of every single person living nearby. My child cannot sleep. I cannot relax in my own apartment. My neighbours all have similar issues and are hating living in the area thanks to this place. The bar also ignored my email. Why do you think the back patio concerts should be EVERY SINGLE NIGHT and at SUCH VOLUME until 11pm? Have respect for the neighbourhood.
One of my favorite spots to visit while in Port Credit. Great food and atmoshphere. The back patio has really brought the community together with the live music that takes place Thursday-Sunday. Love it!
My first time and I look forward to a second visit when I can afford to gain 4 lbs. from the seafood linguini I plan on ordering. I had the lobster ravioli. Highly recommend it!
Large space with a front patio , indoor dining and 2 part back patio - 1 part covered and other part is bench style. There is live music at 8pm on Saturday, not sure about other days. The food is average, mostly Italian based pizzas pastas etc. Ordered the spinach dipp which is served with nacho chips, bruschetta which had slices of tomatoes. Main entrees were the ricotta ravioli , southwest linguine and vegetarian pizza. The pizza was alright and pastas were good but not out this world. Vegetarian options: Pizza pasta
Great atmosphere, an awesome menu, delicious food and outstanding staff. Definitely the best place in Missisauga to watch live music, 7 days a week. Their back patio is the greatest place to kick back and enjoy a meal or live music during the summer months. If you havent experienced The Shore, Id highly recommend it.
Not so good experience, some dishes were great while some below average. Try your luck Food
Very good spot for late night snacks and drinks. They have live music bands most of the week. It is located in Port Credit which is perfect for day or evening walks, small trails and parks. The parks have grilling pits.
I own a physiotherapy clinic in Mississauga, and as a business owner I understand the importance of excellent quality and customer service. Shore restaurant provided both of those things in every aspect of our visit. The staff was friendly and efficient. The food came faster than I swear any other restaurant weve been to and it was hot and fresh. The food was absolutely fantastic, it was flavorful with great sizes, great quality and excellent variety. The owner seemed genuinely interested in ensuring that her customers had a top-notch experience, and also seemed genuinely interested in connecting with them. My wife and I went here for a date night, which is a rare experience for us being that we have three young children and busy professional lives. And this was honestly the best date night weve been on. Thank you to the shore restaurant for an excellent job well done!! We will be back for birthdays, work parties, and more date nights!
We visited for a family dinner to celebrate a birthday. The food was mediocre at the most. Definitely not the quality we were expecting for the prices. The appetizer portions were small and served on a bed of wilted leaves. Our calamari came with no sauce. The rib eye steak was dry and extremely salty. The pesto ravioli also incredibly salty and drenched in oil. The shrimp in the southwest linguini not fresh. Service was the same. I would say this is a good place to go late in the evening for drinks and live music but save your money and go somewhere else if you want a nice dinner.
In the heart of Port Credit, Shore Grill & Grotto caters to all tastes. If you want a high end meal, wings, great wine, draft or bottled beer, they ve got you covered. The front and back patios are summer destinations for both locals and tourists. Shore is also the top live music venue in PC.
Didnt like one thing about here. Went to a birthday party...there were 10 of us. The staff seemed overwhelmed and unsure of themselves. Our waitress was really pushing for drinks rather than assisting with our meal orders. Yes, she was kind overall, she lacked knowledge of the menu and diligence with taking our orders. I was the only gluten-free patron at our table, and I was pretty much forgotten after the rest at our table had given in their orders. I easily waited an extra 20 minutes thereafter. I had to flag someone down. Okay, so Ill give it that I was there on a Saturday evening and it was notably busy, but the noise level was insane. I mean, it was so loud that even trying to speak to someone next to me was a challenge. The food was less than stellar, like totally missing taste. Extreme line cooking at its finest. At one point, one of the guests at our table asked for a straw, didnt the person she ask come back with a straw just in his hand? How gross. Not even the manager came to our aid. Total mess. Food was sent back because it never tasted good, and sadly, there was quite a bit of food waste because of that. Orders were wrong. The bills were incorrect. Madness!!! The kicker was that 18% gratuity was added to each of our bills, and we barely even saw her. Will I go back? Not a chance. Dietary restrictions: Allegedly have gluten-free options, but Im not convinced this is truly the case.
The food was good and there was a love band playing on a Monday night!
The food was not NEARLY as good as its been in the past. My fajitas were burnt, the food was flavourless, the veggies and meats tasted cheap and the food came out to around $200 for four people. This is ridiculous.
All of the food we tried was fantastic but the best part was the service. Louise was amazing and went above and beyond to make our visit great! There was a large selection of food and there was even a lot of options for vegetarians. The patios are dog friendly and when we realized we hadnt fed Harley yet, we ordered chicken, which they happily cut up and served in a take out container. Thank you again to Louise. You made our day! Vegetarian options: Even if there was meat on some options, they were more than willing to remove it completely or serve meat on the side. No hassle like other places!
Great spot with a nice atmosphere. Calamari was a solid 7/10. The main dishes were very bland and not seasoned. Did not finish my meal.
*****THEY DO NOT HAVE OYSTERS ANYMORE**** great now thats out of the way.. Ill give it a 2 Because theres clearly a good vibe here but it was NOT what I was looking for. The crowd is mature 35+ with live band and packed bar. Looked like fun. I however, unknowingly went there for oysters.. which they havent had since covid, my fault because its not listed on the menu. I did a Google maps search and Shore popped up with the picture and I went of that. I then decided might as well try their other dishes had brushetta and mussels. I uploaded a picture of their bruschetta...do with it that what you will. Mussels had 0 flavour. Ya. Dont go for the food.
Service is great! Pizza was fabulous!
The staff and food are amazing 10/10 highly recommended. The hostess staff are so sweet and my waitress was kind. Ill be coming back!
Staff is above and beyond they really made the whole experience, the food is spectacular! Overall 5 stars is not enough for this establishment!
I had the penne gorgonzola and it was amazing! My partner had the wings and a caesar salad and he enjoyed it as well. Drinks were good and not too pricey, she had the Shore, I just had a gin and tonic. Only been in the Winter, was so pleased to see the band outside! Worth it for the music alone!!
We went here for a friends Birthday dinner. We were seated outside at a picnic table (my back was killing me the next day). The atmosphere was so much fun! Our waitress was great too. The band was awesome. The food was meh. Calimari was like rubber!!! I had this Mango drink that was amazing! Id go back for drinks but not for food!
Erin was such an amazing server!! Very knowledgeable, friendly, and kind. Customer service was great. Full bar is a bonus! Food was decent with good selection. Definitely coming again. Make reservations if you want to sit on the patio!!
I would like to comment on some questionable pricing practices at this establishment. The menu contains fine print which notifies that prices may differ during life performances. However, it does mention by how much. Well, I was amused when we received our bill. The price of a pint of beer increased from $8.15 to $8.90. Thats fine, but a glass of virgin cocktail (a mix of juices) became $7.45 (30% increase from $5.70 or so!), and a glass of pineapple juice jumped from $4.25 to $6.00 (a staggering 41% markup!!!). It was my kids who ordered these juices, I guess, the bar punishes patrons for being sober... Dont get me wrong, I dont mind paying a cover fee, I just hate when Im not told in advance what the charge will be, and Im especially furious when the markup is applied based on who knows what kind of whimsical idea.
Went to the Shore for the first time on Saturday, the waitress and the owner were rude to myself and my partner because my partners ex girlfriend was too afraid to come to the restaurant (she is friends with the owner and she saw us enter the bar) so the owner asked us to leave after a couple of poor drinks. The service was awful, the drinks were terrible and the band was as boring as a band could be. Unfortunately, 60+++ year olds behave like children yet can run a restaurant. Wont be returning under any circumstance!
Great little bar by the water
Patios are nice, but noise pollution from Lakeshore unreal. We were inside too!
I ve been going to this establishment for years and I throughly enjoy the options for live music and the food selection is diverse. The owner Maureen and her team are outstanding and always accommodating to me and my family. Shore is a pillar of the Port Credit community and I always recommend Shore when my out of town friends and family visit me. Well done team Shore!
Great neighbourhood hangout with a music scene as an added bonus. Friendly staff and a wonderful crowd
If you are looking for good food, a great ambiance, and live music in the city, The Shore Grill and Grotto, Port Credit is the place to be. Monday Nights aka Tom Barlow Jam Night is the best way to shake off a Manic Monday!
The food and the victuals were so delicious.
Went here today, and while the service was very good, the food wasnt. Had some fajitas and artichoke dip. The fajitas were okay, but very bland and the ingredients were very low quality. The artichoke dip wasnt fresh, and the chips were stale. Beer was nice. Overall it was okay, and its nice nice that they allow dogs on the patio, but id look for other options if I were going for food.
Vegetarian options: Beyond meat burger Food
Do not even have the words to describe how amazing this place is!! Owner, Maureen is so dedicated to providing excellent service, food and top quality music as well as being a leader in the community! We were visiting from Vancouver Island and delayed our flight just to spend one more night in this magical place. Thank you to ALL of the staff for making our trip one of the best. We will be back!!!!
I have been here a few times. Really good Italian food.
Always a great atmosphere at The Shore and always great service from the staff. Their daily live music is definitely top-notch entertainers and always provides a great evening out. I always recommend The Shore when someone is looking for a fun evening out. And I almost forgot to mention they have the best summer patio in Port Credit. Good times!
I had the most amazing experience thanks to Savannah. She is single-handedly responsible for the massive success of the establishment. The customers who frequent shore should worship her and tip her generously
Went with a large group 18% gratuity was already added to our bill. The waitress never mentioned it and most of us ended up tipping on our bill. When we mentioned this to the waitress she just got annoyed with us. Like wow you just got double tips from all of us and then be pissy cuz we didn t hear you say it s included. The food was 5/10 at best for the dishes we had. The pineapple shrimp dish didn t have an pineapples? Overall not a pleasant experience.
I went here about 2 weeks ago and honestly was very disappointed, my husband ordered the steak and the sauce that comes on it tasted like it was spoiled, my pasta was supposed to be in a cream sauce that was more like water, I returned it to be fixed and all they did was drain the sauce. Our waitress was not attentive and asked us to remind her what drink we wanted when our food came.... We were so excited to go there for our date night as the place is beautiful. But the food was just so terrible. Our waitress asked how our food was and we were visibly unhappy. Nothing was done to our bill. We will never be returning. I work in the restaurant industry and it seems like whoever owns this beautiful place just does not care or know how it should be run. Its a shame.
This is the second time we went to this place for the band that was advertised but they claim they canceled. They had an entirely different band that always shows up instead. As a musician I can say bands don t just cancel last minute a lot . I think it s false advertising. Also, service was slow. Not cutlery was given to us when our dinner arrived and we were left sitting there wondering when our server would come around again. Food was cold. Barely saw our server until we needed to pay our bill. So 1 out of 5 stars this time. Stop false advertising.
Always a great time when we go to the Shore
Live music and bar section probably the better bet. We were on the more formal dining room side of the restaurant. Martinis were terrible (maybe stick with wine). Mussels were alright. Tables felt perpetually sticky. Dishware looked dirty and full of fingerprints. If youre going for a beer/wine and live music (which is GREAT by the way), this is the place to be! Otherwise, probably not my first choice.
Mediocre food, friendly staff!
I recently attended a private event in the upstairs function area. The staff were really friendly and attentive and the food was delicious.
Amazing experience!! Food and staff are great!! Not to mention live music
We enjoyed the fun and friendly atmosphere and the food was delicious. We will definitely recommend the Shore Grill to all our family and friends Food : 5/5
With two girlfriends, we thoroughly enjoyed our long overdue dinner at Shore Grill And Grotto. The food was delicious, service wonderful and servers were very understanding about us not being in a rush as we had a lot to talk about. When one of my friends queried the spiciness of a dish, the server brought her a sample to taste, so she could make an informed decision. Its these extra touches that make Shoe Grill And Grotto a favourie choice.
Pet friendly
Staff are outstanding
Great experience! Good food, great service. Live music is always a good time.
Great place to have a drink and a dinner fix. The menu is vibrant with a variety of dishes along with dietary accommodations including gluten-free and vegetarian options. Also, I would recommend the specials including seasonal dishes like oysters and the ever changing Soup of the day
Great live band
