Rogues Restaurant - Fine Dining Restaurant in Mississauga

We recently hosted a holiday party at Rogues Restaurant, and while the food was fantastic and the ambiance enjoyable, the service fell far short of expectations, especially given the restaurant s strong reputation. Despite being warned about tight table arrangements (which we appreciated and accommodated), the evening was marred by unprofessional service, inconsistent hospitality standards, and poor communication. Specific issues included: Unprofessional responses to simple requests, such as sarcastic remarks when asking for bread or being told brusquely, I am not your server. Tables were not cleared promptly, leaving them cluttered and messy. Careless handling of dishes and utensils, including tossing utensils onto plates and slamming down hot sauce on the table while interrupting conversations. Drink orders were either forgotten or denied without explanation some guests received double espressos, while others were told they were unavailable. The main server poured wine in sips, rushing off before allowing us to request more. To address these issues, we spoke to the front-of-house manager, who was dismissive and lacked understanding. We also followed up with multiple emails to share our feedback but received no response, which reflects poorly on the restaurants commitment to customer service. Additionally, an 18% gratuity was charged on the grand total (including taxes) instead of the subtotal, which is not a standard practice and felt misleading. I chose Rogues based on recommendations from my manager and colleagues, who spoke highly of its food and service. Unfortunately, the rude service and lack of professionalism overshadowed the excellent food. I hope this feedback prompts improvements, but I will not be returning or recommending the restaurant at this time.

Rude staff, i just saw a staff being rude to a delivery guy when i was having lunch. Very unprofessional.

Rogues Restaurant does not compare to anything else. The waiters are always pleasent, and very knowledgeable about the menu. The food is always exceptional, and cooked to perfection everytime. Rogues has always been able to tell me exactly the ingredients used in their dishes, as I do have some allergies and have always been more than accommodating. If you are looking for a nice quiet, intimate night out, this is the place to go!

We had dinner in a private room, 15 people. The service and food were amazing. Contrary to previous posts I have read, the food was served at a very good pace, not rushed, and no delays. Everything was delicious! Randy served us and he was fantastic.

I was in Mississauga last weakened and looking for a place to have dinner. I literally googled best restaurants in Mississauga and came up with Rogues. The restaurant was fairly empty for a Friday night. The service was top notch. Restaurant itself had a nice atmosphere and was very clean. The server knew the menu inside and out and was very attentive. Cocktails were great. My guest and I had the Lobster Spaghetti and the Salmon. Orders arrive incredibly fast.. Almost too fast. less than 5 minutes. Sadly the food did not meet expectations, especially for something in that price point. In fact, I would say it was absolutely terrible. Was told the pasta is all made in house. I dont know what kind of flour the use to make it but the noodles tasted like ramen noodles. The sauce was watery and the lobster was not cleaned properly. They served us parts of the meat that still had green stuff on them. The dish was filled with little pieces of shell as well. The salmon fillet was dry and to me tasted like it had been frozen, though they insisted it was fresh. The butter lemon sauce was a watery puddle that tasted like lemon juice from concentrate. We barely touched the food and complained. The restaurant did offer to make us something else but we werent feeling it anymore. To their credit, they did offer to comp the food and the drinks, which was more than we expected. I feel bad writing this review as the service was so good and they were very apologetic about the food. I might be willing to give it another try, but considering the price of their menu, my expectations may be higher than they can deliver.

Thos place was excellent. The cocktails were great and the pasta was even better. It is tucked away in a plaza in Mississauga. This place is truly a hidden gem. I highly highly highly recommend the gnocchi gorgonzola. I also recommend any other house cocktails.

Good food, lady helping to bring food out was great

Wow, found this gem of a restaurant in Erin Mills (Dundas & Erin Mills area) for our date night and so glad we did. Service was wonderful and personable. Even given feedback on the dishes we were considering on ordering as two overlapped (very similar taste) and provided excellent suggestions. The lobster bisque was absolutely delicious, the shrimp & scallops pasta was just perfection of flavour and size. The special pasta (spinach pasta with lemon and shrimp) had robust flavor with a light pallet. To top off this absolutely delicious dinner, we opted to share a chocolate mousse that is the best I have ever had (and I had chef training in my younger years). This team has been around since the 80s, they know what they are doing and they do it with absolute excellence. We look forward to returning in the near future.

I have worked years with Canadas best chefs. This was great as well.

Good food. With a group of 10 we were relegated to a small side room. Air Conditioning was way too high and we were looking directly at a blank large TV screen. With so many options for good (pricey) food in the GTA I would not go back.

Excellent food amazing service.

Veal was excellent. The bruschetta was nothing special. The service however was top notch. Amazing waiter. Should remake the menu with some sort of pictures or give reference on portion size.

Perfect Italian restaurant. The shrimp on appetizer menu is absolutely delicious.

Rolled Eggplamt appetizer was hands down. Zesty meaty flavour of Swordfish complimented the dinner. Prompt and cheerful staff made the dine-in experience very enjoyable. Food : 5/5

Hidden gem! Randomly found this restaurant on Google. Best service Ive had in a long time. The wine selection was amazing. Included my favorites and the food was delicious. The daily specials blew me away but the standard menu was fantastic. Looking forward to going back!

My sons engagement party at Rogues in the dedicated room was amazing! The staff was super attentive and made sure every detail was just right. Everyone enjoyed the delicious and wonderfully presented meals they couldnt stop talking about how great the food was. The dedicated room had a nice vibe that made the celebration feel special for our family and friends. I m so thankful to the restaurant team for their fantastic service, which truly made my sons engagement party a big hit!

Waited 3 hours for our mains only to be served raw chicken (see photo). The waiter apathetically offered a substitute meal, however I lost my appetite. To make matters worse, another individual in our party was served raw chicken as well. It s a bit of a stretch to call this fine dining if multiple chicken orders were served raw.

Exceptional food & service

My wife and I took 3 dear friends to Rogues for dinner on Wednesday March 27th. The experience was 5 star in every way. Paul Galipeau, the manager, is an exceptional person to greet and seat all the customers. Brad, our server was polite, friendly and very helpful in our decisions to order our choices. It was truly an enjoyable evening with delicious food and company. We are looking forward to our next visit to Rogues.

Over rated

My partner and I dined here last night and it was the most pleasurable dining experiences we ve had in a while. The staff were very friendly, and very accommodating. We had to shift our reservation and still ended up being a bit late due to a flight delay. We called to let them know and it was no problem. I had first chosen this restaurant when I saw the rack of lamb on the menu, as well as the numerous 5 star reviews. Well, Rogues did not disappoint and neither did the rack of lamb! The crème brûlée was also amazing. It was a special date night for us so we didn t mind spending a bit more than usual. Dylan our sever was very attentive and also quite funny. We look forward to dining here again.

Went to celebrate a special occasion! The food and service was par excellence!!! Our server, Randy, was very courteous, friendly, and offered greal meal suggestions. He was simply amazing! Since it was a special occasion, they gave us a complimentary dessert which was the cherry on the cake! Highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be a regular patron!

Can never complain! Great food and Great Service whether it be Jesse, Jon, Randy or Ken - or even if Paul is available to help out. Fresh, well flavoured (seasoned) and nice portions. In these days of shrinkflation, it is nice to see Bevan and his team HAVE NOT jumped on that wagon like so many others.

Good food. Top-notch service. You will feel that you are taken good care of. The ambience was just okay considering the price. We tried beef tenderloin, Veal picatta ,baked escargot and chicken liver plate.

This restaurant has really gone down hill. I was so disappointed today with the food and service. The food is overpriced. I wasnt impressed. My friend ordered the bruschetta and specifically asked for no parmesan cheese because she has an intolerance. The server brought it with parmesan and when she stated she shouldnt have it with the cheese, before she could finish, he rudely walked away. He behaved as if he was mad. Then I asked for hot sauce about 3 times. The third time I asked, it seemed like he was frustrated. The restaurant was not busy and we did not have many requests.

Our dining experience at Rogues Restaurant was superb. The ambiance exuded warmth and elegance, creating the perfect setting for a special evening. The menu offered a delightful variety of dishes, each expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. The service was attentive and professional, with our server offering helpful recommendations and ensuring a seamless dining experience. However, the portion sizes could be slightly larger for the price. Despite this minor flaw, Rogues Restaurant exceeded our expectations, and we look forward to returning for another memorable meal.

UPDATE: Visited for a second time December 2023. The first time I visited was summer 2023 and I gave the food a rating of 3 stars. On my second visit the quality of the food has noticeably gotten worse. I now give the food a rating of 1 star. It was bad & extremely underwhelming. I dont know what to make of this restaurant honestly because the service continues to be great and I like the decor and overall atmosphere/ambience. But the quality of the ingredients and the food coming out of the kitchen really does a disservice to this restaurant. I had a three course meal and every single item was mediocre at best. Their prices are also high so the cost is not commensurate at all with the quality of the food. They need to fire the chefs and hire much more competent ones instead. Wont be visiting again, even if the meals were for free. Avoid it and frequent another establishment where the prices are more in line with quality food that will leave you satisfied and overall happy with the experience. Dined there only once. The service was 5stars, absolutely immaculate. The ambience was an easy 4 stars, could ve done with music more fitting the atmosphere though (maybe something like jazz as opposed to whatever pop songs they had on?). Food was alright. Not terrible, but not memorable either. If they upped the quality coming out of the kitchen & the ingredients they use, then this place would be an easy 4-5 stars.

Rogues is one of our favorite fine dining restaurants in Mississauga. The food never disappoints, and their weekly specials keep it interesting -- especially when they have wild game. And if you havent tried Rogues Underground, you really should. Their smoked meats are amazing. Weve done dine in, takeout, and delivery.

Our go to place. Feels like home . I I ve the view into the open kitchen. You can speak to the chefs on the way out and the have this cute little herb garden. This restaurant has been there for me and it s a constant on our restaurant circuit. I m gonna try the Shrimp Rogues next time Just came again over the Xmas holiday , warm salad a must try

Fine dining so little bit expensive. Very fresh and awesome dishes. One of the best old fashion whiskey cocktails.

Very nice restaurant. Friendly staff. Excellent service and food. Had the broccoli cheddar soup. It was creamy and had the optimum temperature. Beside being delicious. Also the roast chicken was cooked to perfection with a nice sauce. The portions are very reasonable and the representation is picture worthy. Liked the open concept kitchen. Will go back and will recommend to friends.

For a restaurant that advertises itself as fine dining, it was more of a loud bistro atmosphere. The lobster bisque was watery and lacked flavour. The chicken fettuccine pasta was good but the chicken itself was bland and had a boiled texture. The service was as expected but the waiters from other tables were boisterous and very loud. It was not a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy a meal.

Friendly staff,good service. Ordered agnolotti, which was tasty. Family ordered veal, and they enjoyed it. Fairly quiet and private.

We went to Rogues last night as part of a birthday celebration I had the asparagus soup which tasted like a salt lick. I then had the lobster spaghetti it was Awful. The lobster was tough like the stuff you get out of the frozen tins. The spaghetti was beyond description bad. The waiter described the specials to the other end of the party and not a word to us. I have had great meals here before but this was a huge disappointment

Excellent food, great service and wonderful staff. Chef owner Bevan was very hospitable. He and his family made my Valentine s Day dinner with my wife very lovely and memorable. Ps. The hot sauces are fantastic!

Our visit to Rogue for the first time was fantastic and we had a good experience. The ambiance of the restaurant was aesthetic and gave a roomy look because of the dimmed lights. The table set up was up to the mark with all the required cutlery being placed and the music was soothing according to the ambiance, not too loud. The food was very scrumptious and eye appealing. The taste of the food was nice, but we were not satisfied with the service given by our server as he wasnt paying attention to our table. He didnt know how to interact with the guests. The restaurants location is convenient and had its own parking space. We had to wait for ten minutes for our dishes to be served after every course. We didnt expect the server for asking tips from us. Even after giving tips to him as per our budget. He also immediately requested a tip from us. He said, I paid from my pocket for your service, because he hasnt gotten the anticipated tip. This is not the service one will expect from fine dining.

Loved this place! My first time going and went for my birthday. Got the salmon which I never do at a restaurant and it was delicious!! The gin and tonic was great too! And great service.

Went to celebrate a birthday, great staff, great service, great food and wine. Why did I not know about Rogues earlier? One of the best experiences in a long time and totally fair prices. Had the venison and liver, both just perfect. Will be back!

Our favorite dining place in Mississauga. Expensive but worth it. The only thing that would make it better is if they put in hepa filters and CO2 monitors and the staff masked to keep customers (and their own employees) safer. Like the model set by The Apricot Tree nearby. It should be the standard for all restaurants. Covid is still ripping through the population. its just not publicized by the government.

We celebrated our anniversary with a spectacular dinner at Rogues. The meal was fabulous. The veal piccata al limone and the snapper topped with lobster were perfect. The service was extremely friendly and helpful. All things considered the dinner and venue were perfect. Dietary restrictions: The staff were very knowledgeable regarding what gluten free means to someone with Celiac. No worries as there were many options to choose from.

Too noisy ..for the premium price we expected a.much quieter atmosphere. Could barely hear the server ask us for our dessert order. My suggestion is to space out reservations or to cut back on capacity because you will.lose long term customers like ourselves. We.were practically in the conversation of the table next to us.

We went to Rogues fine dining for Father days and this is not the first time we been here. Rogues fine dining has been our go-to fine dining restaurant for some time now because their services are excellent, their food is delicious, and the atmosphere is very spacious. We had pork chop & scallop, artic char, beef tenderloin, and ribeye with foie gras. I am reviewing Rogues underground Smokehouse. Does not seem to be an option. Brought home two sampling platters. My boys absolutely loved them. Said one of their favourite meals of all times. Highly recommend if you like brisket sausage ribs wings Yum! For me personally, I would ve preferred the brisket to of been cut thicker. The way it sliced is more for a sandwich. I would like more texture to my brisket. Their salads on the other hand. Absolutely love, their corn bean, and their baked bean, the other two there s a flavour thing that just didn t work for me. Potato salad and red cabbage, both of which I adore generally but not in this time. Don t mess with the classics maple syrup and potato salad not gonna happen.

Had a great experience! Came here with a party of 10 and each person raves about their dishes. Most of us got something different, I personally had the bruschetta as a starter and swordfish as my main. Extensive wine list with great service. We ended up running a little late past closing time and the staff was very accommodating (they didn t say a word, we knew we over time finishing up) and it was overall a great time. Would come back!

Perfect. The whole entire dining experience was perfect. Best restaurant experience Ive had in the last ten years. We booked online, got seated immediately and the festivities began. Ken took care of us and he was a masterclass in food service. Funny, prompt and well informed he delivered a five star experience. Swept the crumbs, replaced my knife, discussed each dish and traded jabs with us for the 90 minutes we were dining. Appetizer (melon porscuittto) and main (beet risotto and wild game horseradish bolgnese) were well prepared, presented immaculately and were exploding with flavour. Many times I was tempted to lick my plate to get just a little more culinary excellence on my palate. Bravo, Rogues. It was my wish to treat Mrs Thurston to something special and the whole hospitality team put on a full court press. Wish we could have stayed for coffee and desert because I am certain it was equally as delectable. Easiest recommend Ive ever made as a Local Guide. We will be back! Parking: Tonnes of parking dedicated to this specific plaza.

Ive been going to rogues restaurant for awhile, the food and the service is top notch and delicious. I would recommend anyone to go to this restaurant as it is outstanding.

The service was fantastic, the wine selection was great, and the bartender knew how to mix a drink, but it seems to have been an off night for the kitchen. I know this place has a reputation for great food, but I ended up with 3 courses that I would not order again; much less for the price. None of the food was bad, but you expect things to be a cut above at Rogues... and we got expensive Applebees instead.

Sunday evening dinner for my birthday. Restaurant is very inviting. Staff are fabulous and attentive without being intrusive. Martini and dark and Smokey cocktails to start. Yummy! We had the caprese salad and soft shell crab ( special) appetizers. Main course was pork medallions with scallops with scallops( special) and the risotto feature was beef tenderloin and oyster mushrooms. The presentation and food was outstanding. Extensive wine list and we selected a nice bottle. Tartufo with a candle came to the table to celebrate my birthday. Loved our evening! You won t be disappointed!

Visited the restaurant today for lunch, after many years. Went in with a work colleague and we had a great lunch. Both of us ended up ordering the special, listed below. Herb Gnudi - Smoked sausage, grilled vegetables, crumbled goats cheese, olive oil brodo. The flavors and balance were splendid and I would want to return back just to have the same dish again. One of the best Italian restaurants in Mississauga / Toronto GTA.

Excellent dining experience. All four in our party thoroughly enjoyed the warm salad appetizer and the entrees - veal picatta, peppercorn pasta, and swordfish. The wine list reads like War and Peace, but staff helped us choose a perfect white and a perfect red.

Excellent service. Amazing food. Lovely atmosphere. We went last night for Valentine s Day and we did not have a reservation. The young manager went above and beyond to find us a table. Our server John was fantastic from start to finish. Making wonderful recommendations of wine and dinner options. Started with the Eggplant rolls - so good! The rack of lamb was perfectly cooked and the best I ve ever had. My boyfriend is an executive chef and Italian and he agreed that his chicken Parmesan with spicy rosé was on point. So flavourful! The cheesecake and crème brûlée were delicious and a great end to a fantastic meal. We will definitely be back! Thanks for making our Valentine s Day so memorable! :)

My husband and I went for dinner on Feb 12 to celebrate Valentines day, we had been here 2 years ago with a group of 10 and we were very impressed with the food, service and the selection of wines so we decided to comeback and we were again very impressed with the delicious meals and desserts. Wow wow absolutely superb desserts ,our waiter was definitely very professional and attentive, his customer service was impeccable. Being a former banker I know very well what good service is like ,thank you Randy for making our night very special and welcoming. Thank you again. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for an excellent meal and service.

We six of us visited Rogue after few years. Rogue has nice layout and overall ambiance. Service is good but we didnt like the food quality from a fine dining restaurant. Particularly deserts. We order chocolate mousse and cheese cake. Chocolate was hardly mousse type and cheese cake was like volcano with a burnt crater. Salmon with vegetables was good for Salmon but all vegetables were full of butter, here goes the healthy option. Vegetarian choices were very limited so was the available dishes.

A friend invited me for dinner at Rogues. I have not been to the restaurant in years simply due to the pandemic. The moment I walked in, I was taken in by the ambience! It was classy, elegant, romantic, yet warm, and cozy. The food was authentically Italian! The ingredients were fresh and high quality (as someone who cooks, and uses only high quality ingredients, I could tell). From the main entree to the desserts, the food was absolutely delicious. The service, from the hostess, our waiter, to the owner coming up and offering to hang my coat, was top class. I am planning another dinner date at Rogues in the next week. So looking forward to returning for another lovely experience. And, I must say, this restaurant is a GEM in Mississauga!!

It was amazing how the manager was able to have a seat for my family (7 of us) during mothers day as it was very busy. We agreed to have our dinner around 8:30. The server asked us for drinks we want. We asked for pina colada and he said its not available but they will try to make it. We said its ok if they dont have it, and if they have a menu for the drinks we would just pick from there but he didnt give us one. So they served us pina coladas that tasted half right. That was ok. My dad and my dad in law was having a good talk and the server told my dad the food is here. My dad did not notice him as he was conversing so I called his attention. The server then said Do you want to eat? Then listen . His tone was not rude but it was sarcastic. I just let it go since it is mothers day. Food came, the veal was awesome, the pasta was not what I expected. It tasted a bit acidic. But other than that we enjoyed our appetizers and entrees. The server then asked what dessert we would like. He told us we have chocolate cake or cheescake but its a bit late now so what do you want? I was baffled. Do they talk like this to customers? As we were full we declined dessert, but its like saying you can have desert but were closing now . Then we payed the bill which is almost 800. The server said did you enjoy tonight? We replied yes, then he answered But I do not see it here though again in a sarcastic way as he pointed at the receipt. I was confused but then I realized He was refering to the tip . Everything was alright but this server was something else. All other staff were kind and generous and polite aside from this server we had. I know it was late as we were the last ones to leave, and he may be tired, but its not just right. I felt embarrased cause my parents and in laws are there. It would have been ok if they did not have us for a late dinner we would understand, but the manager was kind enough to have us. I will never return here. The ambiance is lovely, food was alright, but its just this server. It was our first time with rougues as well And I am just in disbelief. I hope this experience is different for others. Maybe try not to do late bookings especially in special days so you wont be hurried to leave.

Had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. Everything from the staff, to the food and the ambience was remarkable. Writing this a few weeks late so Ive forgotten the specifics of what we ordered, I do remember it all tasted amazing though. It was my birthday and I was also offered a free desert! 10/10 would recommend.

When you find a restaurant that becomes your home away from home. A place where the food exceeds all your expectations and surprises you each and every time. Experiencing Rogues is like having arrived to a place where they know your likes and dislikes and they strive to make you feel welcome and care for. The food is excellent and they provide enough variety that you will find the special dishes that will make you feel rewarded and satisfied. It is the best place to eat in Mississauga. The perfect combination of class, excellent ingredients and superb cooking, with a an extra touch of love. Chef Bevan Terry is the best at its craft. Come for the experience. Great service & excellent food! We had - Truffled Chicken Liver Pate, Baked Escargot, Smoked Salmon & Corn Chowder, Shrimp & Scallops, and Salmon. Each dish was deee-licious! Will come back.

Ordered takeout for the second night in four nights. Just the shrimp rogue because I remember going here with my dad as a kid and they were perfect. The first night were perfect. Tonight I requested extra sauce and rather than upcharge me for it which I would have been fine with they watered down the intial sauce. Very very disappointed. Dads spinning in his grave.

We were treated to a fantastic meal this week. Theres a wide variety of tempting dishes to choose from. I had a delicious crab cake for an appetizer and then the most tender and melt-in-your-mouth steak tenderloin in a peppercorn sauce. The kitchen and serving staff deserve a standing ovation. We will definitely be back soon. Thank you!

Exceptional food, service and atmosphere! My husband and I visited for our anniversary. Our server Ken was wonderful. The food was delicious and everything was cooked perfectly. I can see why this restaurant has been in operation for so long. Definitely go here!

I will go back. I had the Kobe steak and although undercooked, may have still been the best tasking steak I have ever had. Great apps and deserts also. The local Credit River beer (or whatever the name) was a nice local touch that tasted great.

We love the executive chef and his wide and team . Consistent service and food ! Dietary restrictions: Extremely patient and understanding of our restrictions.

I was here for lunch and they were serving their game menu which usually I am big fan of. Although the service was top notch, I found that the game meats were tougher than usual (I know I know it s game meat)and I left slightly underwhelmed. I will still come back maybe not for game

Best lamb Ive ever had at a restaurant. Great service, food and ambiance.

Service was friendly but extremely slow. The kitchen may have been backed up but clearly this restaurant wasn t staffed properly. The food was nothing special for the price and the serving sizes will leave you feeling hungry.

My girlfriend brought me here for my birthday last month. Great atmosphere, friendly service. The food and drink was beyond my expectations. We had the duck liver pate - which was absolutely melt in your mouth! The Cesar salad was SO on point. I had the duck breast which i will 100% defiantly recommend. My partner in crime had the beef tenderloin which was heavenly (i had a taste). We shared a bottle of Chilean red which was so superb. We would for certain return if in the area - great place for a special occasion indeed.
