i order nihari and biryani. nihari of beef peace was frozen inside. not fresh as saying FALSE on FB, also gravy of nigari was testless i just like desolve flour of wheat without proper way. biryani was so so. worst thing provide nihari with frozen parata. when i saide i need Naan who eat Nihari with parata. they saide we dont have any one to make it. that person very unprofession. The Worst thing they mostly charge over billing it happen with me, and with my friend too.. Becare full check bills always. dont be relaiy them ..

We decided to try this place after we could no longer ignore their social media videos popping up on TikTok. We ordered the chicken tikka, nihari, and their special lassi. The flavors were enjoyable, well-balanced not too spicy but the nihari beef felt undercooked Service was spotty at best. Despite being seated early, most tables around us were served well before we even got our first item, which was the lassi. It took an additional 10-15 minutes for the rest of our order to arrive. We felt rushed while eating. The staff seemed eager to free up our table for other customers. Ultimately, we decided to pack up the remaining food to take home. It was disappointing to see the use of plastic, non-reusable cutlery. No care for sustainability. Wed pay extra for proper cutlery. The wait times are long. The restaurant doesn t take reservations, and there s no online waitlist. Overall, the experience was underwhelming. The food is decent for the price, but everything else service, wait times, and environmental concerns is a mixed bag. YMMV but we re not sure it lived up to the social media hype.

The food was very average. However, I found a hair in my food, and the paratha was most decidedly not a lachha paratha. It was thick, not soft, and had no layers. The tea was ok, nothing to write home about. Food also arrived cold. Service was ok. The servers were nice and welcoming. The owner (who was walking around the restaurant talking to guests) was dismissive of feedback for the most part. We were not able to make a reservation on the phone and were told we would get a tabel but had a 20 min wait when we arrived. The owner said the lachha paratha was the specialty. However, as I said, it was not even close to an actual lachha paratha. The restaurant itself is very cramped and chaotic. The atmosphere is below average. I would not recommend it.

Went there with family visiting from Edmonton - wanted to have a nice chai and snacks for the kids. Thats what the name Chai Paratha implies, right? So we sat down and ordered our chai. It was a busy night at the restaurant. Asked for a few snacks for the children, but they didnt have half the items shown in the menu. Still, we ordered some. As soon as our chai arrived, the reception guy walked over and told us to hurry up and finish because they wanted other customers to have our table. We were quite surprised at this, and he told us its because the other guests wanted to order food and we had only ordered chai. That was pretty rude - why open a restaurant and turn it into a revolving door where people should just walk in and out, and keep paying you? Open a drive-thru place then! Anyway, we decided to order food too, so we asked for biryani platters and 1-2 dishes as well. But we were rudely refused again, saying our choices werent available, and could we please leave immediately because the waiting customers had already placed their order! We hadnt even been there half an hour. We couldnt believe the rudeness of the guy! It was infuriating to have to leave suddenly, with our guests from Edmonton and all our kids. Would never recommend this place to anyone and certainly wont go there again.

Best Pakistani restaurant Worth it Food

If youre looking for authentic chai or paratha, this might not be the place for you. The chai was neither doodh patti, karak, nor any traditional tea style it lacked the essence of what youd expect. The paratha was disappointing as well; it wasnt a proper lachha paratha but more of a bulky, chewy version, lacking crispiness. The seating could use improvement, as the chairs were quite low compared to the tables, making it less comfortable to dine. That said, the ambiance was pleasant, and the service was commendable, which made the experience somewhat enjoyable despite the shortcomings in the food.

If youre at a table in end, be ready to get up and let the staff know what you need. The food is pricey for no reason. Quater chicken leg burnt on the grill is $12 + tax. Its ridiculous. I spent $95 on food that shouldnt have costed more than $40 to $55. So upsetting.

Over rated place due to social marketing. I visited last week with my family keema was like ok ok and Parth a wasn t Lacha paratha hard to eat like leather it wasn t fresh lacha partha I believe even I don t think so they know the meaning of lacha partha tea was like only Patti in tea . Rest over crowded not enough space also if you visit there make sure you have to wait 45 minutes outside. Would not recommend anyone to go there for garbage platter. They will note down your number and will not call you. Sorry man this is what this is

Nihari and chicken tikkka were both really really good - just like Karachi and highly recommended. Nihari was quite spicy, even according to desi standards (which I actually enjoyed). Naan were really yummy too. Rabri was quite disappointing, unfortunately - it was really dry and completely lacked sweetness. We got 2 of them and they were definitely not worth the money. Overall, it was a good experience. Will definitely visit again with family. Update: Turns out they mistakenly served khoya instead of rabri. I emailed Chai Paratha team to request for a refund for the 2 rabri and they immediately processed it. Thank you for your professionalism Chai Paratha.

While the service is extremely slow, and a few overlooked things in the ambience take away from the experience (such as eggs left out near the door, trash being taken out of the main entrance, fruit flies galore, and loud staff), the food is commendable. Nihari was served hot and provided comfort on a cold day, the naans were soft and fluffy, paratha was reminiscent of Karachi, and the chicken tikka was the best we had tasted in years. We missed having the doodh Patti, but the karak chai did a decent job. A few tweaks and this place could really make its mark.

Went before the rush hour so getting a seat wasn t an issue. The more you delay the more is the waiting time of course. The service was extremely slow. Has to wait an hour for the food to come in. The servers didn t even get us water in the mean time. Very poor. The food was alright but on the oilier side for sure. The taste wasn t anything extraordinary. Kind of in the fence if I d recommend it. The kindest I can be is, check it out once.

The Nihari at Chai Paratha was absolutely amazing! The meat was incredibly tender, and the gravy was rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. Paired with their fresh, naan, every bite was pure comfort. The garnishes added a refreshing touch. Highly recommend!

Today we went to chai paratha @ 7 we were 5 people it was very busy they said that its a wait of 45 minutes give your number and we will call you so we decided to wait but after waiting for 20 minutes they called and said sorry we cant take you we asked them to split the table in 2 and 3 but they said they cant do it which is very surprising how can they turn down their customers very disappointing

Imran catered us, and he was very welcoming. The food was amazing, and i bought pure honey after a long time. I would 100% recommend this spot if u wanna try Pakistani food, then they are the best. TERRIBLE SERVICE, DONT FALL FOR THE HYPE ON TIKTOK To start off, the service needs a lot of work. Because of the service, I will not be going back. Had to wait a while for the waiter come take our order. When we asked her questions, she had no idea. All we asked was if they sold seekh kabob, she told us they have something else. We asked what that is and she said Gravy . They need to educate their staff what s on the menu. When we got the food, the salad was missing. They gave rice and it was cold. The chicken was nothing special. The owner overhyped it and would much rather have gone to a different restaurant. When we asked for Parathas, we waited 15 mins, waived down the owner only to realize he didn t tell the kitchen Originally came in for Nihari. We were told it was sold out. That was when the owner hyped the chicken tikka. It s 5pm on Sunday, you claim that s your speciality and you re sold out before dinner time? Need to be better prepared. But it s crazy how the table beside us came after us and got 2 orders of nihari

This place is exceptionally busy! I waited about 45 mins for a table during Sunday brunch! The staff is exceptionally kind and understanding. The nihari was pretty good! You need to definitely ensure you place all your items in as a pre-order otherwise the wait to order extras at the table is very long. Parking: Its a bit confusing to find the parking lot as I accidentally went into the wrong plaza twice! But theres a decent amount of parking.

I dont think my review adds anything to the already amazing reviews, but dining at this restaurant is an experience worth mentioning. When I decide to eat out, especially for Desi food, I do a lot of research and prefer to go on weekdays. This restaurant is a hidden gem with a lovely ambiance and a straightforward menu. I appreciate how they focus on their specialties instead of offering pages and pages of options. I loved their chai paratha plate, with keema, chana, halwa, lachha paratha, and chai... OUTSTANDING! So sad that I cannot have it more coz I dont live in Ontario but its my regular place to go whenever I visit.

My God! This has to be one of the best tikka parathas I ve ever had in the GTA! The restaurant s atmosphere is absolutely amazing, with decor that beautifully captures the essence of Pakistan. From the warm ambiance to the intricate details, it truly transports you back home. The flavors are authentic, the BBQ is spot-on, and the experience is unforgettable. Food was tasty and delicious but expensive ,just one small Pepsi by 3$ and Nan by 5$ and space was so small they have bigger that if they want do a good business cause there was a big lineup for table to sit but but there was no space.

Very disappointing experience. Poor customer service. Lengthy wait times to sit, order and serve. They werent very attentive. Food was tasty, however, the price to quantity ratio was shameful. Chicken tikka legs were very tasty but did not reflect the expensive price. Parathas were worse than the store bought frozen ones. They didnt have naans so we got rotis which were okay. Nihari was disappointing. Qeema was tasty but it was a very small single serve dish that was 60% oil, 40 % qeema. Rabri lassi was just your average lassi with some malai. We paid almost $30/person and they gave us plastic disposable plates for hot food, especially the boiling nihari. We had to request proper plates. Overall, disappointing experience and do not recommend.

So i went there with my friends and this guy idk his name, he is on every tiktok video of this restaurant , he literally forced all of us to give a rating and he is right now standing right infront of my face just to make sure i am giving a 5 star rating ( Forcefully ) Better luck next time bud. Rabri lassi nihari

Didnt quiet live up to the hype or other business name. The laccha paratha is no less than plethora of grease and very chewy.The food served in a thali (Chana masala combo) was cold, the halwa tasted liked rose pudding. The chai both kadak and buffalo,has no distinct flavor or taste.The chicken Tikka was overall the best dish. The customer service is extremely poor. The staff wont check on you. The owner and the server literally turned their back while we were still placing the order. Preferably would rather eat at a place where the staff would acknowledge you unlike just another customer. Wont be going again.

Quantity was good but no taste at all seems like rotten meat specially qeema excessive red oil extreme use of red Chilli so hot and spicy. The nihari was very spicy; unbearable to eat. You can not produce taste by just adding spice. Would not recommend

Yesterday, we visited Chai Paratha and opted for the deal that included chai, paratha, halwa, and pickle. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The paratha was excessively hard and difficult to chew, and the halwa was of poor quality, containing undissolved, hard portions that made it inedible. I could barely eat one paratha and left the halwa untouched. Additionally, the quantity of chana provided was insufficient only about four teaspoons, which felt inadequate. Overall, the quality and quantity of the food need significant improvement. Based on this experience, I would not prefer to return for breakfast in the future.

This was our first time at Chai Paratha and we had a wonderful experience. We ordered the lachha paratha platter and everything tasted delicious including - channa masala, halwa and keema karahi. We also got chicken tikka and desi omelette which was also very yummy. If you re looking to try some delicious authentic pakistani food then definitely visit Chai Paratha, it s totally worth it. I tried once but I feel they are over priced for thier parathas they charge 4 dollars a piece which is crazy for a small size paratha and the extras are more . You would end up spending easily over 80 bucks minimum for a family of 4

We were asked to leave because we ordered only tea. The owner/manager came around to us and told us that there are others waiting who want to order dinner and basically said we arent welcome here. I should say that it this point we had been at the restaurant for 20 minutes, and had not even received oir teas. I would understand if we had been loitering for hours. While this was rude and unreasonable on so many levels, we still decided to order food so that we could sit there and spend time with family that was visiting from out of town. Only to be told that two out of three dishes we order were not available. It seemed like they did not want to serve us. So we just paid for our tea and left. Never had such an experience. Especially when the place is called chai and paratha.

So so SO good!!! If you re looking for real authentic tasting Pakistani food this is where to come the biryani was first class and the flavour of the tikka was amazing! Staff was super friendly and helpful and atmosphere and decorations were so cultural Everything was delicious and will definitely recommend this place to everyone I know.

Chai was absolutely not good. Not kadak and paani wali. I tried chana and kulche. Chana was oily and laccha paratha was chewy. Surprise with reviews . Nothing special however good spot for hangout

The food here reminded me of Pakistan. We ordered a platter and additional parathas. The platter was good enough for 2 people and already came with 2 parathas. We couldnt get enough of those lachaa parathas so we ordered 2 more! Loved the ambiance and the hustling staff. Must visit and bring friends!

Tahir was very friendly and prompt with his service. Food was good and the atmosphere was lively. The tea (chai) took a little longer than expected but it tasted great.

Came in today after watching the stores TikTok video!! When I say the food was amazing, like it was out of the world. Me and my husband and my brother took our first bite and knew that we would be coming back here forever. Very clean, and fast service. We had the BBQ chicken with Paratha

The restaurant has a cozy ambiance, but my visit left a lot to be desired. The service was disorganized, with multiple delays and confusion over our order. I asked for drink they gave me after I finished my food. The food was just average except Tikka ( so good).I believe with better staff coordination and attention to food quality, the restaurant could improve. For now, I wouldn t recommend it unless changes are made.

I visited Chai Paratha Restaurant and had high hopes, especially after hearing great things about their food. The chicken tikka was absolutely cooked to perfection tender, flavorful, and delicious. However, my experience took a negative turn when I realized they do not serve water unless you specifically purchase it. When I brought this up to the owner, he responded rather dismissively, claiming that they arent obligated to serve water and that they are simply too busy to manage it. While he mentioned that they could provide complimentary water if asked, this didn t help much in the moment. It left us feeling disappointed, as it s such a basic expectation when dining out. The food may be great, but the lack of customer care and unwillingness to make basic accommodations like offering water is something that can really affect the overall dining experience. I hope the management takes this feedback into consideration for future customers.

Food was excellent.Their nihari and chicken tikka leg are an absolute treat and are probably the best in GTA. Suggestion : Please serve water to your customers.I know it might be a little bit of extra work and cost,but common man just serve some tap water.cheers Food
