My friend asked the lady at the front that she needs a table and her friends are coming up too, she denied and mentioned you need reservation maybe just because she was from different community. Atmosphere was nice. My table was right next to the live music stage which made it difficult for me to hear people on my table. Food was not great. Some not fully edible.We ordered veg Sliders. The buns were so hard that you could not chew them. The only good thing was the chilli gobi. For food they said it shouldnt take long since i was in a hurry but it took over 15 minutes . We ordered naan kofta and Briyani. The yogurt with briyani was soured. Naan was good little but too oily. Kofta was okay. Briyani wasnt even close to the best i had. Two mocktails we ordered were meh too just syrup and water barely any flavor. I had to keep looking for hosts they would only check on you if you called them out or tried to make eye contact Overall its overhyped cause of atmosphere. Food is not worth it

I had dinner tonight (Dec14,2024). Food was great. As everyone aware about GST & HST exclusions, I was charged HST ($45). I requested staff about this and he responded saying Owner has some issues. Just after reaching home(30 mins) , I called at restaurant and requested to explain me the HST charge that I was charged, staff replied me to visit restaurant back and get refund of HST. I didn t understand what happened in 30 mins and they have asked me to revisit restaurant for refund. Additionally, the staff was not well responsive. When I asked for this issue in restaurant, he said I am just and employee, owner has some issues for this (HST).

After we ordered it was again no show for another half hour.once food served the server was in more rush to take dishes. Had to ask for cutlery also. The tables set too close.

I recently visited Tamarind Modern Indian Bistro. It was a great experience at this place. Service was excellent. The food is fresh and great taste. I recommend coming here and enjoying Indian cuisine.

The lowest end service you can imagine. Prepare to wait over an hour to get the food. The food is ok. Way overpriced for what you get. The atmosphere is more like a designated eating area in a factory.

Food and service pathetic. Don t waste your money. Went there to celebrate birthday of my sis. It took them forever to bring in deserts after requesting them 3 times. And to add way overpriced for the tasteless food and service.

Food was excellent, very good quality. The tamarin rice, lamb chops, kofta curry were a few of our favourites. Would definitely recommend the pani puri shots!

I had high hopes for Tamarind in Mississauga, especially after seeing it featured in the Michelin Guide. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of expectations. The live music was unbearably loud, making it difficult to enjoy the meal. The food, overall, was disappointing. From the small plates, we tried the Crispy Chilli Gobi, Chennai Chicken 65, and Lahori Fish Fry. The Gobi pieces were too large, resulting in a mushy texture with no flavor. The Lahori Fish tasted more like Fish N Chips, lacking authentic desi flavors. The Chennai Chicken was also bland, leaving all the appetizers underwhelming. For entrees, we ordered Malai Kofta, Paneer Tawa Masala, and Punjabi Mutton. While the Malai Kofta was exceptional and truly delicious, the other two dishes were lackluster, requiring extra salt to enhance the flavor. We also opted for the Bread Basket, which turned out to be a mistake most of the naan and roti were cold and uninspiring. However, when we ordered additional naan separately, they were fresh and perfectly prepared. Avoid the Bread Basket, as it seems they serve older breads in it. The desserts Gulab Jamun Cheesecake and Rasmalai Sundae were a highlight, both delicious and beautifully presented. Overall, the dining experience was underwhelming, with a few notable exceptions. If you re seeking authentic Indian cuisine, you may want to explore other options. Spending ~$230 for this meal left us unsatisfied. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback constructively and makes adjustments to enhance the dining experience for all guests.

11/2024 Dine in, great ambiance, great food. *****Good take out Indian food after a long time. Had the Biryani Shrimp, Malai Methi Chicken, Achari Chicken and naan. Asked for mild spicy. Was not disappointed at all and I was pretty impressed with the flavor and freshness. Biryani had a good number of shrimps and came with a cooling raita (yoghurt). The naan went well with the creamy chicken that soaked up the gravy. Looking forward to trying out other items on the menu. Parking: 2 hour free parking

Our experience at Tamarind was a mix of highs and lows. The Rogan Josh had a flavorful gravy, but the mutton was chewy. The cocktail presentation felt quite ordinary, especially for the price. On the brighter side, the Afghani Chicken was a standout succulent and delicious and the Rasmalai was delightful, though it took nearly 20 minutes to arrive. The ambience left much to be desired, with the place under renovation and the washroom inconveniently located outside the restaurant in the building. While the food had its moments, the overall experience could improve with better attention to detail and a more inviting atmosphere.

DELIVERY: I placed Uber eats order through tamarind my payment processed and they cancelled. I called them to ask why and the lady was so rude 1:15 pm today. Their reason was ask ubereats why it happened when fully Uber eats shows restaurant has cancelled . IN PERSON : Tables always dirty , flies are inside, their centre piece plants have worms on them or dust , windows area always greasy and gross, water jugs are yuck.
