Italian staples, like pizza, pasta & panini, plus a full bar on offer in this airport trattoria.
4-5 times at this airport restaurant. Usually everything good. Tonight though the waitress Ana A was very rude. After 50 minutes of being here she asked me to leave and didn’t want to refill my water. Thank gosh the host was there to get me some water. Worst service ever. What a disappointment. Was usually my restaurant in Toronto airport. Will not be back if it is to be talked this way
First time trying this restaurant with a colleague. We didn't wait long...even though it was very busy. Excellent pizza and the service was friendly and quick! Had a great meal just in time for boarding!
It's my favourite place to eat when I have a layover at Toronto airport. Food is good, service is very fast and friendly. Atmosphere lost a point but only because you're still in a busy airport.
Tasty pasta right by gate D41, you'll get to enjoy some pasta while you wait to board your plane. The service was excellent and the surrounding is nice. It is a bit on the pricey side, so it'll depend on what you're craving. We had the shrimp pasta, Bolognese, and the penne. The shrimp one was a bit spicy, but otherwise they were good.
It’s frustrating how you can’t seem to find good food at airports, and this spot at Pearson was no different. My partner’s chicken penne Rosa had maybe three mushrooms in it and cost $26. My $27 vegetarian pizza was a disaster—burnt arugula on top and a soggy mess in the middle. I sent it back and ended up eating yogurt and granola for dinner. They took the pizza off the bill, but honestly, it’s just overpriced, basic, and sometimes awful food.
I dined with my husband, Food was okay. Not very seasoned. I understand it can be busy but we waited a very long time for our server to come check on us. We were done about 15-20 minutes, I went to the bathroom and came back and still didn’t have our bill or box for left overs.
I ate at Boccone Trattoria in Pearson Airport Terminal 1 and loved it. As someone who grew up in Italy, I can say the pizza here is very close to authentic. The thin crust, tasty mozzarella, and fresh toppings were perfect. The fries were crispy and not soggy. The atmosphere is good, and we got seated quickly. The decor and bar in the middle make it look nice, even though it’s a bit small. It felt private, which was nice in a busy airport. Our server Eunice was attentive and friendly. The food for four people came in 23 minutes, which was great. It’s the best place for good pizza at an affordable price in the airport.
The food isn't that bad, but the price is the downside. $21 for an advertised drink is just not acceptable nowadays. The service is okay and typical of an airport restaurant. The pasta is good, and the bruschetta had generous toppings. However, the Pepsi was flat...
It s ok for an airport. Not great but better food than most places. Certainly better than Starbucks.
The food was OK but I feel the way I was dressed was the reason she only filled my cup once in 45 minutes. She talked to the man next to me 3 times., we were at the same table. I regret giving a tip.
Life changing breakfast at 5am. Thank god.
Funghe pizza was amazing, great thin crust and lovely sauce. Service was very friendly!
Convenient open space right by the gates so you can keep an eye and ear on what s going on at your gate. Tables or the bar with sports on the TVs.
Overpriced sandwiches. Not good value for money. Not very tasty.
Airport lounge Service was fast and great. I ordered the Massimo which was delicious. Food : 4/5
Right by gate 41 and I ordered the braised ribs and they were excellent. Things what I will order whenever passing through YYZ
Cecelia is the absolute best! Great service! Excellent hospitality! Highly recommend!
Cecilia was an amazing bartender and really knows her stuff. The atmosphere and service was top notch! Give her and your establishment a round of applause!!
DO NOT EAT HERE. My experience here was horrible. My 8oz alcoholic beverage was as expensive as the pizza ($23). It was a double shot and I didnt taste a hint of alcohol. I ordered a Margherita pizza and it came out D shape instead of an O shape, and was burnt. The server didn t feel like telling me they ran out of basil either so the cook overcompensated with a gross amount of parmesan. To top it off, when I brought my concerns to the owner he said I don t want to hear it and stormed off. 0/5 STARS.
Several items were not available on the menu I ordered hot water and was charged for tea as they said hot water it costs money. The table next to me started ordering when they ordered water the same server asked them if they d be ordering other stuff as the water isn t free, they were getting food. The way she was talking to us came off really cheap. Even tough I was paying for my hot water it was completely forgotten. For an Italian restaurant I m surprised they don t have Parmesan for my pasta when the table next to me had parmesan for their pasta.
Services is good. Beer and cocktail are over price
Terrible service by the waitstaff. Very rushed and 0 hospitality. Came on here to see if the reviews for food would be worth sticking around. Finishing my drink then heading to the Twist.
I moved to another table with a plug in and IM NOT JOKING 3 minutes later the waitress cancelled my food order. Obvs I understand anyone in the food industry would do the same. I ve been a waitress for 10 years BUT the timing was ridiculous and my fault. I only had a beer and the waitress said that she would have to pay for the bill. Which I said good, you cancelled my food the manager hunted me down to get the $10. She should ve looked. She should ve confirmed Then I get hunted down in the terminal like I m a criminal.
Best meatballs! Service seems rushed Nice atmosphere for an airport restaurant Food : 5/5
Decent place for a break while waiting on flight. $3.99 for a coke and no refills. Most places will do this as a courtesy (how much of an expense is this really??). To have a policy of not doing it - I call that pretty chintzy.
This place has gone downhill. I will not go again except in 4 or 5 years to see if they have reverted to their once excellent food. Its too bad they have slipped down to below average status in my opinion
Ridiculous how they wont let you sit in if you buy right from the counter. They gave a rather rude rebuff as well. Not really the best addition to YYZs already stressful atmosphere.
Overall the food was okay; but what really made it bad was the awful taste left in our mouth from the server (Ana A 623). The whole table was visibly uncomfortable from her behaviour. There was plenty of seating left in the restaurant at the time and the host decided to sit us in the largest booth (which we did not request). Only one in our party was eating and drinking of three (which was decided after seeing the menu). Our group could have easily been placed at a smaller table if asked. Which we would have gladly done. Once Ana A realized that only one from our party was ordering she made a very rude comment Should have sat you at a table for one then . It was said in a very disrespectful undertone and ultimately we did not decide to sit there. For starters: 1. We did not request the 5/6 person booth. There were smaller tables available. 2. Secondly, we were only planning to stay for a short period 25 min to grab a quick bit to eat before the flight. 3. Thirdly, there were ample tables available and a very small line outside the restaurant (which everyone waiting was seated very quickly) 4. Fourthly, She then proceeded to give us foul looks throughout the entire dinner service 5. And finally, she did not check on us to see how the food was and was absent during service. It ruined the entire dinner experience for the three of us. Needless to say, I will not be returning anytime soon while going through Pearson, which I frequent often.
The pizza was okay and penne rosa was good
Pretty crap service from Phylicia. But its the only place open early morning
Belligerent, rude and disrespectful staff. Will be taking business elsewhere.
Whats the lovely experience
Deeply regret eating here. Listless staff served me dry toast that was too cold to melt butter along with a terrible steak. At least they managed not to botch sunny side up eggs. Several notches below Tim Horton. This place should close.
Wish I could give this place no stars! I used to eat here every year when I flew out of Pearson Airport, NEVER AGAIN! The waitress Marija U, didnt even take our food order. She took my menu and then did not come back for over 20 mins and ONLY because I had another waitress grab her. She ignored us and walked by 5 times without any acknowledgement! Do Better!!
Its fine - usual airport pricing levels - coffee is fine and no wait compared to the miles long time Horton and Starbucks lines nearby
Where do you start. Prices have recently changed despite the menus showing something different. When asked, the new boards are on order so, here s a tip for the manager / owner. Charge the new prices only after you have updated the menu/boards, otherwise it is tantamount to mis-selling. Nice beer at the bar, but the older bar tender needs serious customer service training. He was unpleasant after we ordered one beer and, in the process of him pouring it, ordering an additional one from an other tap, thinking this would be standard practice and with the capacity of a bar tender to deal with such requests. He told us to pipe down, and that yeah I heard you . We thought it was already odd when heard him speak to another member of staff as soon as we sat down that these two are British strange Canadian hospitality and accounting techniques from this place, which we have not come across elsewhere during our stay.
The service was horrible! Service was very cold towards us. Our food was service almost 10 minutes apart, and mine sat under the light for 5 of them with servers walking by it multiple times. After an amazing vacation and heading home it was disappointing to have poor service at our final vacation dining experience. The food would have been good I think had it been served hot instead of cold.
I had lunch today with a business colleague at Boccone s. I was greeted at the front of the restaurant by Omar who was as unpleasant as one could be. Cold may be a better description of the level of service that was provided. When my colleague showed up, Omar s lack of hospitality continued. In my opinion the hospitality industry may not suit this person. The two pizza s that we ordered before our noon flight were good so hats off to the cook. The one star reflects the poor customer service and not the food which we thought was good
Classic Toronto airport experience! Rude, angry, and horrible food.
Were not up to date on common service dog laws and protocols even when presented documentation. Claimed allergies were the reason for their policy. If I had a visible disability instead of a medical alert dog I am very interested on how this exchange would have differed.
Had the panini and salad. Good sandwich. Enough food to fill you. This restaurant is right near all the Doemstic gates at Pearson to the rest of Canada.
Good attention. Patients with the tourist Parking: Without any problem. Spacious and safe Wheelchair accessibility: No problems. Ramps, and privileged places for people with wheelchairs
Very rude staff. Please don t go there. Old women doesn t know how to talk.
Very slow to be seated plus the bartender is rude. There s other overpriced establishments to eat/drink at in YYZ terminal 1 that are better.
Food was nice.
Great place to get refreshments at the airport, fast friendly service.
Chain food pizza. Acceptable for airport.
Soup wasnt available at 10 am, no reason provided. Staff was so slow, unhelpful, and almost made me miss my flight
I enjoyed the meal
Had a Cesar salad for lunch. The worst salad ever. Insufficient dressing and 1/4 of an egg diced up. You end up tossing half your salad since there is no dressing.
Good sandwiches and coffee, expensive but very fast and tasty. Not a good place for drinks.
The Restaurant has recently chg the menu so I thought I should try the rapini pasta. Was really looking forward to it as I love Rapini pasta Unfortunately the chef was very heavy with garlic to the point the whole dish was bitter and not enough Rapini. We typically don t complain but our lovely hostess checked on us and asked did we enjoy the meal, I said honestly and explained Then the waitress and manager came by asked for info Again we said not complaining just feedback as we were asked The manager offered a discount etc Honestly a great experience as they all really cared about our experience We look forward to returning and trying another meal as the service was impeccable, better than most full service restaurants Natalie
Great meal, great service
This food chain is alright. What I like is that they have a bar, sandwiches and pizza and other things that you might enjoy. The service is decent at best and they do cater to the people and do what they can. When we there the food was good, pizzas and sandwiches were warmed up and good and delicious. Downside is that it s pretty pricey and hopefully then can reduce the pricing.
They serve Lavazza coffee and it s great. Probably best coffee in the airport. Haven t tried the food.
We grabbed bite to eat before boarding our flight. We used the QR code on the table to select our food and drink, then placed our order with the server. We each had a classic Caesar, listed online for $14.99 - only to be given the bill that charged $21.49 each. When questioned, the server told us he gave us a Titos Ceasar and that the QR code on the table was out of date (though it included the new limited time drinks as advertised on little placards on the tables - so not out of date at all). We didnt get what we ordered and were forced to pay a premium price for a pretty sub-par drink. The price was a gouge to begin with, but adding $7 to each drink is insult to injury and downright dishonest. Also, the server was not friendly at all and cleared our table of condiments before we finished eating. Do not recommend this scam of a restaurant.
Took a long time to be served, the food was good but the prices were outrageous, $10 for a slice of pizza, $7 for a wrap.
Long wait for food, and one of the waitresses had a horrible attitude
The server is very rude, especially the East Indian guy. He should learn how to talk to customers, if he is so unhappy this hospitality industry is not for him.
Airport rip off to another level. After spending $ 31 for a coffee and mediocre sandwich, we were not allowed to sit in seats that were near the window because they were only available to patrons consuming alcohol. It was 820 in the morning. The owner might revisit the policy. Food
First off, it s an airport restaurant, so think $$. Beet salad is very good. Servers are friendly and helpful. Local draft selection OK.
I really dislike having to provide critical feedback. The service was good and I feel for the serving staff as their tips are likely suffering because of the following facts below They do not offer pizza half and half for toppings, the reason why is simple. They pre make the pizzas and simply warm them up when ordered. I literally had 4 pieces of cheese and a few basil flakes. The pizza was luke warm at best. What a shame .the owner needs to take a real good look at improving or else this place will be gone in the coming years. The reason why it s still around is due to flight passengers that do not know any better, likely tired and just want something to eat. They do not offer pepperoni seriously, that s unreal. I hope the restaurant reads this and takes action but then again this will come as no surprise to them. Ciao
I was seated at the bar, waited nine minutes to be asked by the bar tender if I would like anything. I could see the alcohol in front of me so I asked for a Hieniken, he obliged. I did not recieve a food menu or alcohol menu, so I asked for both. I finished my beer and placed the empty bottle as far out as it could go on the bar top so he could see it was empty. I waited 18 minutes and then asked the waitress walking by for a beer and she said you have to ask your bartender for that very madly. She then walked in the other direction and swiftly came back and loudly said he is very busy and I should know to ask. Then another 6 minutes went by and he finally asked me if I wanted something else, so I got another beer. I have never felt like such an idiot trying to have a peaceful drink after a day of travel. So I sit here having a beer, hungry, angry, and maybe needing a smile instead of insults.... Ive been traveling the country for 27 years eating and drinking everywhere I go and this is the worst service I have recieved.
Typical airport sit-down eatery.
This was a clean, bright, quiet place to catch lunch and watch a sports game. Great service and a good menu with reasonable (airport) prices. We would return again when at Pearson.
Aside from rude service and mid food, I also watched the bartender use glass in the ice well to scoop ice, multiple times. What if it chipped, potentially hurting someone?
Truly awful. I know its an airport, but wow, this place serves the worst food at the most ridiculous prices. Menu sells the idea of a carefully crafted, artisinal sandwich, and then you get a hamburger bun with stale frozen chicken and wilted lettuce on it. Even the French fries were stale (which is a remarkable achievement because theyre frozen, McDonalds type fries that had just been cooked). Staff seemed nice enough but totally disinterested. I would be too if I worked at such a subpar place.
Grabbed the shaved roast beef panini and salad during a layover. Highly recommend. Service was really fast and the food was great.
Good food selection
**2024** Pizza ok. The meat toppings felt like deli meat Calamari good. Has fried onions and Peperoncino. **2023** Nice staff, big eating area with plenty of light, and the food isn t bad at all. Tried the Penne Rosa with chicken, onions, mushrooms, tomato and it was pretty tasty. Needed a bit of salt but that s not a big deal. I wish they would offer some sort of bread on the table so you can enjoy that sauce to the last drop.
very expensive sushi and very bad. INFESTED WITH WASSABI. looks old
Pearson. Pricy and just ok. But its an airport...
I never visit it. I have no idea about this place.
Service as pleasant as a root canal treatment delivered by a waiter smiling like a granite cliff. Fortunately, the meals have certain qualities and the tip goes with the appreciation of the service, we made some savings.
The welcome is as warm as a prison door. Since tipping goes hand in hand with appreciation of the service, the waiters are heading towards cruel poverty. Fortunately the food is decent otherwise we would have rated this restaurant negatively.
At Pearson D gate departures. We waited for several minutes while employees fiddled with their lunches and Tim Hortons coffees, without greeting us. Eventually we gave up and went to Starbucks... If they were so uninterested in serving us, they werent going to care how they made our coffee.
Almost forgot we were in an airport! Comfortable little booths, and very attentive service.
Beer was good. Gin and tonic was good and the fries were good!
Delicious food and excellent wine selection! Perfect place to sit and relax but still close enough to the gate in case there are updates or announcements.
$25 gets you 2 bad pizzas and a half full cup of tea. $4 for tea? Shameful.
Great food for an airport restaurant!!
Omar is a server at this restaurant who is the most pathetic person in world. Completely misguided us. Took 10 minutes to serve water. Did not serve us the food at all. Such person is a disguise to business and perfect recipe for disaster and business closure. Should be fired for business to survive and no one should hire such a person who works with no sense of urgency. Raj was atleast polite.
Nice airport
Overall experience was great!! Highly satisfied with everything. The manager Arham is very nice with the customer.
I ordered the beet salad and was not originally a fan however, the manager Arham was quick to quality check and very eager to correct the meal. I hate complaining and would have just paid and not returned, but he saw that I didn t eat it and had it remade without me even asking. Love how much they care about the quality of their food and their service. Beet salad 2.0 was a 10/10.
I purchased a margherita slice on Boccone at YYZ airport and then I took a seat on a table almost in front of the window. The lady from the bar (also Boccone) told me that particular area belongs to the bar sitting area. Even with a purchase from the same restaurant you cannot sit o any spot. And there is no even a sign mentioning this!!! It is especially unpolite to remove a customer from a spot after he sat. My receipt chk#: is 4471, location 7102125, date: mar/14/2023 at 6:22PM. You guys deserve 5star for the food, but for customer relations = 0. Humberto
I went here before my flight because it was the only place open, and staff were very rude we waited about 20 minutes in front for a table then we re told we can come in and sit anywhere and then got yelled at for picking a seat because that side is now closed but people were still sitting in that section of tables. Then we get the menu and the waitress was so disrespectful she said you have 2 minutes to pick what you want or get out from there I was already feeling disrespected but I let it go, then we order and the food was terrible it was fries with cheese but the cheese tasted weird and the wings but the wings tasted even worse, there was no seasoning it was like they just threw every thing on the plate and gave it to us. Then at the end I felt so disrespected the waitress gave me the machine to pay and I obviously gave her no tip because she was extremely rude and she points it out oh no tip too right and she should have known from the get go how she treated me and my friend. This is the WORST restaurant I ve ever been to. Tim Hortons is way better than this place don t waste your money and brain cells with this place
If working at an airport bar I would think a sense of urgency and good observation and multi tasking skills are needed. Sadly this place has none of the above. My geriatric grandmother moved faster than some of the staff, young & old...if working the host station I also think a smile and some sort of enthusiasm is beneficial.rather than a look of wanting to be anywhere but there.
Very expensive for Very average food and service even at the Airport in hindsight I should have picked a busier choice.
Good place for a drink and a bite while youre waiting for your flight
Great service. Pizza quality was high.
Nice place in the airport. Everything was very good
Good service and ample seating. The location is handy and close to multiple gates. Three Massimo sandwich was bland, could really have used summer garlic mayo, or a little salt. Vegetarian options: Some veg options including sandwiches Kid-friendliness: Kid menu is available Wheelchair accessibility: Good access and table space
I ordered a beer and had it delivered only to be told I can t bring in outside snacks because it s a company rule . As someone who works in the service industry I would never deny a customer who is spending money at my business. It s an airport not a michelin star restaurant. Super busy airport with no where to sit and eat, guess I can t even enjoy my beer after a 6 hour flight over a Tim s donut. WHAT A JOKE. Our server was very kind but the host is having a power trip literally losing money.
Bright and open with friendly staff. Tables are not jamed together. I dont know what brand of bacon they use, but the taste was awesome. When I pass through Pearson, I always eat here if I can!
The worst experience I have ever had in an airport restaurant!!! I came back from a 20+ hour flight with a headache, we ordered some drinks and then I leaned on the table and the waitress came over to tell me she couldnt sleep. Not only did the waitress assume I was sleeping, but the way she spoke to me made me feel like I was doing something wrong. I was thinking of eating but with that deal the only thing I wanted was to leave as soon as possible. I didnt even drink the drink. Very badly
We had breakfast at the bar and a few drinks. All were delicious. The best part was our bartender Mackenzie. Fun, professional, prompt and an expert Caesar maker. A very engaging and lovely human. Will definitely look for her next time we head through. Vegetarian options: Had the egg panini without meat option. It was delicious: included tomato and cheese.
2 Star for the service rude
A perfectly fine place to kill time when your flight gets delayed because your airline is incompetent lol.
Good food and good service
Im stuck at the airport for a layover. Needed to grab lunch. I had the Stella and Italian salad. The salad was a little underwhelming. With the ingredients it had, it could have been amazing. I think the dressing needs to bring out more flavor. Staff was friendly and attentive. Good amount of outlets along the bar. Overall good location to set up while waiting for your next flight.
had a verde pizza (i don t exactly remember because i threw the receipt out :( )and a latte and the lady that took my order was iccha i think she was very nice and friendly 9/10 would def eat again
Delicious food and amazing service from McKenzie at the bar! She was prompt, friendly, and made all the customers feel welcomed. I would definitely come back to see her!!
The food is good.Customer service is very unprofessional and the lady was so rude to all our colleagues during purchase. She need to be more patience and maintain good attitude.
Food was good but server and staff were rude.
Konstantine is absolutely wonderful. He will ensure your time in the Toronto airport is not stressful and he will be very attentive to provide very professional and polite service. Thanks for enabling me to have a stress free time at the airport for the 11 hours I was there.
Very expensive chicken Caesar salad. Overdressed to the point I could finish. $45 for a salad and a beer. Ouch. Service fine and it was fast.
Above average for an airport restaurant. Having been an infrequent visitor of Capras kitchen, unfortunately my expectations were high. Still - Ill choose this over the other few restaurants I saw in the same section of the airport.
Service is ok. Food not so great and pricy.
Nice place
Mackenzie has to be the greatest bartender I ve ever met, amazing customer service and a genuinely fun person to be served by! Thanks Mackenzie :)!
Remarkably good food for the airport. Open to the airport so rather noisy and staff are too busy to be attentive.
Food and service were good Pricing high compared to breakfast menus outside of airport Food : 4/5
Pizza was warmish, paninis were really thin (1.5 slices of meat) and actually just folded flat bread. Not sure they know what a panini is. Very expensive, beers were $14cad.
Not bad at all for an airport restaurant!
Tried the Italiano burger, it was decent, can definitely get something better for the price Hostesses were nice but sadly couldnt say the same with the servers.
Brutal. Avoid this place.
It was ok, not the best
The hospitality was good and the customer service was nice especially Arkham I liked him his personality.
As a very frequent traveler, I was flabbergasted to be lectured after consumption of two drinks with a food order about the potential to no longer be served at this establishment. If you have had a long day already, and your flight has been delayed for hours... I certainly suggest unwinding at any other restaurant prior to arriving at the end of D gates. At premium pricing of $20 per drink and $17.50 for two eggs... I am surprised that they would attempt to embarrass their captive audience at all.
Usually stop here when waiting to fly out. Great food for what it is and the service is decent given the size of the area. Its wide open seating and people are lining up to board flights while you are eating/drinking if you are sitting on the side area.
Thus my favorite restaurant in Terminal 1. I willcome to airport early just go for a drink and a pizza. Yummy
Got the Italiano panini. For 20 CAD I expected more than 6 think slices of meat, a dusting of lettuce and some sort thin sliced veg. This place is overpriced and subpar.
Great little restaurant to sit down and eat at the airport
The beer measures are a joke in edition to being eye watering expensive. I paid for a 20oz beer and had it served in. 0.5ltr glass which is 16oz.
One of the great place at the airport YYZ!! Pastas were amazing
Dietary restrictions: They work with you if you have any dietary restrictions Wheelchair accessibility: There is no step so a person with a wheelchair could easily eat here Food : 5/5 |
Hidden gem!
Service was terrible sat at bar for an hour without mention of menu for food, had to beg for a glass of wine, bartender should find another job, customer service was not in her skillset. Adding my review here. The food was good, service from the manager was rude and disinterested just like last time. Can t beat the location but if they ever get real competition it will be a problem for them. In the meantime they can serve good food and treat the customer like the trash.
Pretty awesome place to hangout while waiting for your boarding time. Great pizza and great service!
First of all, 31 dollars for a small bowl of pasta is over doing it. But $31 for a small box of cholesterol should be illegal. There was so much oil dripping down my mouth and my bowl. This seriously need to stop.
Everything was great!!
Horrible, horrible service. The staff dont want to work, and it appears that no one is supervising. Maybe someone should tell them that veloce means fast in Italian?
Service was fast and friendly. I had the gamberetti ($28), which is pretty good for airport food honestly. The dining area is open so you can see the nearby gates, which is a minus for atmosphere but nice if you are departing from there.
Very poor quality food. I had bruschetta that was dry, unseasoned, and had ice berg lettuce? The Parm fries were equally horrible. The neighboring table had an equally bad experience. One table had a good pizza though.
Wow the bar tender is phenomenal. I had a few drinks during a layover from lisbon and she was so effortlessly friendly. A blond gal with curly hair I can t remember her name. But she is awesome:)
For an airport eatery, it was great. But the best was our server. I want to say her name was Maria? Absolutely lovely.
Good food, service and prices especially for an airport restaurant
Delicious Croquet Monsieur!!
Very pleasant place to sit and enjoy a long layover in Pearson Airport. Service is exceptional for an airport restaurant. I requested a table that I could charge some of my devices while waiting for my next flight. There was no issue for my request. I was very impressed with the service, environment, and food. Prices were not too bad, considering the monopoly of airport charges.
I have been stopping here on every lay over I have had in the last 7 years in Toronto and the food quality just keeps going down. I decided on a windsor pizza slice to go and it had no taste and all the toppings were stuck to the wrapper it was served in by the time I got to my gate.
Good pizza and convenient location.
One of the worst Caprese salads Ive ever had. Maybe I am too used to european capreses...
$10 for a tasteless old slice of pizza. Better off eating a paper plate.
Excellent on all counts, especially the smiling staff. A little higher, worth it. Separate takeaway counter too
Staff shortage led to waiting 10min at the takeout counter for my order to be taken.
The food was alright but $22 for a panini is absurd, even at an overpriced airport.
Pretty good atmosphere for being in an airport. Food was tasty and the beer was traditional which was first experienced in Italy itself. Service was quick and the team checked in several times.
Good food at a good price
The Google review order goes Food, Service, Atmosphere, but Ill start with service because it influenced my food choice. I have a small appetite and generally have to take leftovers home which isnt an option when flying so my server Georgina gave me an idea of the portion sizes so I could order something fitting. Georgina, and the hostess Taz were fantastic. Food: I got the Bruschetta and it was a good value for the money especially considering airport prices. I finished most of it but there was still a lot of toppings that fell off that I couldnt. It was really good, a nice onion, tomato, garlic mix; the bread was crispy but soft enough to bite through. The only thing I felt was missing was maybe an optional balsamic drizzle that would have elevated it a bit! Atmosphere: They did their best being an airport and all, it has a variety of seating from tables to booths to accessible access to a couple high tables in the middle, and a bar with 3 sides of seats around. It was right by my gate (D41) so bonus!!
This review is for the *T1* Boccone Pronto Toronto Airport location only. If you have to eat at the second worst international airport in the world and you would like better quality and bigger sizes for the rip-off airport prices that you will be paying, then slide over a few steps to the unassuming Upper Crust which is right next door. The sandwich display case at Boccone is cleverly stacked so that it appears you are getting more than you actually get. You will get friendlier service though at Boccone, if that is more important for you than your food.
Had a great meal and fantastic server.
The service was horrible the worker was extremely rude and disrespectful off the first encounter which led me to not even order food the service needs to be better.
Had dinner here waiting for our connecting flight. We had the calamari, polpette spagehetti, tagliatelle bolognese and penne rosa. All items were actually pretty good for an airport restaurant. The calamari was excellent. Our server was very good and efficient.
Very nice
Just finished breakfast at this restaurant, TO airport. Very friendly young lady gave me a menu and said I could sit where I d like. Then it went downhill fast! Absolutely the worst human waited on me- tall skinny male with an attitude- spoke about 3 words the entire transaction, and now after reading the comments on this page I wish I had done that first! Eggs were swimming in oil, burnt toast and my god can not get past this person they have working there, A total waste! Why on earth is he working in that industry? I don t think it was just a bad day- he s rude by choice! Never again spend my money here, always check reviews - always - lesson learned
Sherwayn the manager is so rude, he has no respect to customers. L
Only 2 drink maximum per hour. Irritating for the prices they charge. Will not be back. Ever.
Very good pizza! Fast and courteous service.
This place was way too overpriced for what you get! We thought the food would be really good for the price but there wad barely enough to eat and it was barely edible. Do not eat here
Sad airport panino. Good service though.
Quite good food for the airport. Very good service!
