We had a lovely meal here last night with recommendations right for us. Got to try new flavours and enjoyed every bite of our meal. I ve been looking forward to trying Bistecca Alla Griglia at Casalinga Ristorante for a while, and was so glad that I did! The food was so delicious and the service was really great, too! Be here so many times and it s been amazing, the apps are good but it s hit or miss. Sometimes the servings are huge and service is great. Sometimes it s pretty bad all around.

We have an eaten here a many times and the food has always been great. But we were recently there for dinner with some friends and the dishes we ordered were awful. The apps were great as usual and the service was prompt. But the steak and veal chop meat quality was the worst .. fatty and chewy .. the sauce and flavours were good. But I was spitting most of the steak out as it was inedible.. i recently read that the steak here was melt in your mouth, so why did I get the worst cut ??? The veal chop was mainly fat, we have eaten the chop before and this was not the case, very disappointed as we wanted to have a Christmas dinner here with the office, but now NO WAY. On a plus, the comp bread is always a lovely gesture, salad, pizza and dessert was great .. but we still cannot figure out what happened to our main. I could not finish my tough steak and my partner his extremely fatty veal chop. We had to eat cereal before we went to bed.

Have been eating here constantly for 3 years. Always stellar!! Service and quality of food always on point. First time we ordered takeout pizza, it was stone cold and we picked up 10 minutes early. Disappointed to say the least.

Booked a table for 7 at short notice to ensure space was available. Good sized tables; they didnt try to squeeze us into a space designed for six, but offered us plenty of room in a space normally assigned for eight. Drinks were ordered and served promptly, along with bread, olive oil and balsamic vinegar to appetise. I asked for and received sweet balsamic paste which was a real treat. The menu offered a good range of starter options and a wide selection of main dishes, all with an explanation of content (so no need to guess what youre ordering...!) Our meals were served quickly and were all highly enjoyable. Desert was equally pleasing for those who had space after the hearty meals, and our coffees were smooth and rich. An extremely pleasant memory to end our month long holiday. Thank you Casalinga.

Always have had great food at Casalingas. Their staff is warm and welcoming and always looking to help. I have ordered their daily specials both times and can t ask for better Italian food in GTA West.

Always a wonderful event!

We come every now and then here. Pizza is amazing. Came to celebrate my wifes birthday. Everything was so nice until our server vanished. We sat there over 15 minutes without anyone coming to see us. Sorry but I do not accept poor service like that. Busy there yes but no more than a normal Saturday night. Oh well.

I love the service and the ambiance but the food was really poor, we ordered 4 dishes and none were of Italian standard. The representation on the menu was very appetizing but the dishes itself were very basic. The gnocchi had simply tomato sauce from the can, not even herbs for flavour. The servers were very helpful on adding Parmesan to improve it a bit. The ravioli in the menu is mentioned to have truffle, no traces of truffle on the dish which was very salted. The lobster spaghetti was very very dry and sticky, but the lobster itself was good. The pizza capricosa was fine but not delicious. The crème brûlée was great.

Weve been at Casalinga several times for celebrations since 2009 and it has grown and improved all the time. The service is good, food is great and staff is polite and looking after our table. I rarely give 5-5-5 stars but its been very good so far. Reservation is recommended since its is usually packed.

This place is so under-rated. Its a little Italian restaurant that you can easily miss driving by it on lakeshore and Southdown but dont! It has amazing pizza made fresh, the lamb gnocchi is my personal favorite but they have a lot of great dishes. Oh and the service is always friendly and professional. Cant say enough about this place.

The hospitality and food are top notch, and you always get good value for dollar.

We found this place only because of proximity to the go train, but loved the food and friendly service. We will definitely be back. I recommend the lasagna!

Tastes like home cooked Italian food. Great and affordable but if youre comparing to quality at Scaddabush I dont think they can compete. We had the seafood pasta, risotto, and pesto. Pesto was abit too oily. Seafood pasta was lacking depth in flavour of sauce. Risotto was OK. Service is excellent though and free parking out front.

BEST RESTAURANT EVER! Mario is fabulous. Food is always perfection. Service is outstanding. They are like family. We will be doing our rehearsal dinner here because there is simply no other place.

We came to Casalinga for the first time and it wasnt very busy. We got there at a good time and watched it fill up during dinner hours. The service was quick and top notch. The Spaghetti allo Scoglio was fantastic! The owner seemed welcoming and charismatic. 5 stars

My family and I have been visiting this restaurant for almost a decade now. Anything that I have had on menu, the absolutely professional precision of the staff and the Casalingo atmosphere has made me want to come back for more. I, in the past 6 months have become vegan I made the decision fully aware that I may not be able to enjoy the establishments that I held dear. I recently visited Casalinga and to my surprise (not really) the kitchen unequivocally accommodated my diet. The house made gnocchi with carefully prepared tomato sauce was astonishing! Fantastic food, I know its in a strip mall but seriously traditional Italian food

Food was really good, the only item that was just okay was the pizza. Other than that, everything we ordered was delicious. We had the frittura mista, arancini, fried Calamari, Lasagna, lamb gnocchi, Spaghetti allo Scoglio, branzino and the pizza. The service was great, they were friendly and great with the kids.

My wife & I have been ordering food from Casalinga Restaurant for several years now. We have tried several dishes over the years and have never been disappointed with the flavor or quantity of our meals.

Wonderful little slice of Italy tucked close to the lake. With wonderful staff, and a pleasant atmosphere, it felt homely. We came when it wasn t busy so the service was fast. The only thing I may say I didn t like was the clams in the spaghetti. However the soup of the day, complementary bread, great service, and wonderfully cooked pasta makes up for it.

Came here for dinner with my brother, dad and a friend tonight and we had an excellent time. Was impressed with the menu and all of us agreed that the starters and main courses were delicious. Frosty glasses for the cold Moretti and Peroni. Kudos to Jojo for the recommendations and fantastic service also for putting up with us. Definitely will return, thank you!

This is a decent little italian place. Pasta and meats were very good and service was excellent. We were in a bit of a rush so our server ensured we were well looked after and done in an hour!

We chose Casalinga to celebrate our wedding anniversary, marking my first visit there. Right from the start, it had an authentic vibe. Despite being vegetarian, I found plenty of options to choose from. My wife went for their veal chop, which she proclaimed as officially the best steak shes ever had. I indulged in their daily special soup and the fungi pizza, both of which were fantastic. The staff were incredibly friendly, managing to be attentive even on a busy weekday night, ensuring our order arrived just in time. Were glad we made a reservation, as the place was even busier than I could have imagined now, Im not at all surprised why. This anniversary turned out to be exceptionally memorable, all thanks to the wonderful team at Casalinga

It was ok. The pizza was pretty good! The lamb gnocchi was pretty good. Soft with good texture. Sauce was flavorful, not acid, not bland. I did ask for extra salt, though. The pasta also nice. Overall good food, just wasnt something spectacular, that I couldnt cook myself at home. But maybe Im just a good cook? Lol. I probably wouldnt come back, but I dont think anyone eating here would be upset or disappointed. Im just always searching for at least one item in the menu thats unusual, interesting, that leaves me intrigued and thinking wow, how did they do it?.

Not friendly for single diners/ pretty much ignored and barely 10 people there dining. Wait staff barely made eye contact, just not friendly or welcoming at all. They have good food but made to feel so uncomfortable doubt I will return

We had a girls night out there and the food was great but the waitress, the one with tattoos on the arms, was rude. My friend was asking for another coffee and the waitress said that we had to give the table back soon. Well, no one told us that there was a seating limit when we booked. We were only there for 1 hour and 20 mins and there were other customers who were there longer than us. I didnt understand why she only said that to us and not the other customers. Other than that, the other waiter was very nice.

I have eaten pizza throughout all of Italy and the GTA. This is by far one of the best quality pizzas I have ever tasted. I am very impressed with how this restaurant has been able to hit the nail on the head of how a pizza should be made.

Such a pleasant experience, the service and food were graceful and welcoming on a cold winter Monday night. Well surely return for another wonderful meal when we are back in the area.

We were very pleasantly surprised by the excellent service and amazing food. It was a last minute spot we randomly chose but it is now become one of our favourite places to go.

It is not a horrible place, just not as authentic as expected. The food is average. Servers are very delightful I must added. They check just enough to make sure customer is doing well. It was just the quality of the food. It lacked flavor/right seasoning.

Busy on a snowy mid-week evening. Make reservations. Excellent food and attentive service. Acoustics are so-so, but no canned music, so manageable.

The variety of menus was so good. A typical restaurant has one menu to skip, but it has everything. Every little thing here seems to be handmade. The food was as fresh and so good as their efforts. Our first visit. Seems fairly popular and it appears the customers are satisfied with their dining experience. Hats off to the staff who treat you like friends rather than customers. I had a salad and pasta dish that was plentiful and tasty. The atmosphere was pleasant and relaxed. We could hear each other as we spoke over dinner. Prices were upper-mid but we thought the meal provided value for the money. We will return as we are curious about a few of the other dishes that caught our eye. In short, a good experience. Get there early as parking is limited.

15/4/23 I went before the evening rush. The decor and atmosphere were very clean and spacious. I had the special, minestrone, prosciutto, and lamb shank a la risotto. The taste was fairly good for the price.

I have been eating at Casalinga now for a few years. I have traveled Italy extensively and I can honestly say, this Italian Food is out of this world. The food quality is always top notch. The service is matching as well. I generally order for take out and the product travels well on how they pack it, and the flavors are always so tasty. My family recently had the restaurant cater a party at our home and again, quality, service and attention to detail was over the top..... Excellent food and wine, with top-notch service and a great vibe. I ve had several meals here now, and each one has been fantastic.

Was there for my birthday in December 2022 and again in April 2023. Both times were very pleasant, and my veal Parmigiano was delicious!

Simply superb! Calamari , branzino, gnocchi, pistachio cheesecake - the whole affair was wonderful!

This restaurant is always packed because the service and the food are always outstanding. You need to make a reservation because it s so popular. Even regulars don t leave it to chance. This place is a gem on the southern border of Missussauga and Oakville. The staff goes out if their way to accommodate everyone. Sometimes it s just too busy. No one is more disappointed than the owner if he can t seat you. This place is the best.

Came here on a Wednesday thinking they are open until 10:30pm as listed on Google maps however the kitchen closes at 9:30pm. Beware if you plan on going late that food has to be ordered before 9:30pm. Appetizers and main course are brought out all at the same time. It was strange to just be starting my appetizer and have my main course already sitting on the table getting cold. Not sure if I would return again

I have been ordering take-out from Casalinga for many years. The food never disappoints as it is always delicious and made fresh. Loveee the Penne alla Vodka with chicken, Arancini Siciliani, and Margherita wood oven pizza. I could not recommend a better place for authentic Italian food. The staff (such as the servers/chefs/owner) are also amazing which is definitely a bonus!!

The service was very friendly and the atmosphere is nice. The staff is exemplary and goes out of their way to make sure that you are happy. The food was good and the toppings on our pizza were all delicious and fresh. The salad was outstanding. I would highly encourage people to go here and support an independent restaurant.

Had a great meal here. We came without a reservation and the staff was able to give us a seat as long as we could be done in 90 minutes (which wasnt a problem) cant go wrong with the pasta and grabbed a Calabrese pizza to go. Also had a tiramisu for desert, which is made in house. Portions were decent, if youre really hungry grabbing just one plate wont fill you but it will taste really good. Recommend getting a reservation first as it fills easily. Will be back.

One of my favorite hidden gems. Corner restaurant where youre always by a window, and the best Italian food in the city. Simple and deep flavors give your tastebuds a party... Meatballs to start with some grilled calamari on the side and a funghi truffle pizza.... Peroni on the side... Perfect date night. Thank you team

If youre looking for an authentic Italian restaurant experience, this is the place for you. After many years, we returned for a family dinner, and the food was still phenomenal, and the service was excellent.

An infrequent visitor and Im adding my reviews after 5-6 visits over the last few years. Very good Italian fare, with wonderful personal sized pizzas. Gnocchi with pear and gorgonzola cheese was the stand out; we also ordered penne in a white wine sauce and spaghetti in a pesto based sauce (was low in salt though). Among the pizzas, the Margherita stood out. Dessert was Creme Brulee and one of the best tiramisu you can find in Ontario. Espresso was fabulous too (Reunion brand, as I had to ask Mario, the owner, considering how tasteful it was). We were too eager to eat the food that we skipped taking pictures. However, treat yourself if youre in the area!

went here for a shower, it was a cute venue to host a bridal shower, baby shower etc especially if it isnt a huge gathering. food was good I had a cappuccino, it was a little small but very tasty. the bathroom isnt very accessible if you are going there with babies and need them to be changed. a few moms (including myself) had to change their kids on a chair/ Two chairs pushed together. not what some people would like to see while eating. fortunately we had the place to ourselves for the shower and everyone knew everyone so no one cared.
