Loved the place! The food and the ambience was simply amazing. They made us wait a bit longer even though we had made reservations well in time, still, a wonderful place to enjoy dinner with family and kids. Their chef entertainment is enjoyed by all. They even make real efforts to celebrate your birthday in a special way! Would recommend and go back again!

Had a great time with a group of 7 in one of the private rooms. Zack was on top of service making sure our group was comfortable and happy. He was super helpful explaining the menu and the chefs were interactive. Decor and vibe was great - portion sizes split for the group was filling (was warned, haha) SO FULL!

Vegetarian options: Yes. Tofu, mixed vegetables, options are available Dietary restrictions: I eat only halal meat. And they had that available. Chicken powder in the miso soup is not halal, the staff took their time to explain it to me. Rest of the meat options were halal Kid-friendliness: Yes, kid friendly place. We went to celebrate our nieces birthday, great experience. They bring little drums amd sing happy birthday. Very pleasant for the children no doubt

Great experience.....A dinner and entertaining show, we all enjoyed it. Just make sure to call ahead of time to ask for Halal meat at reservation. The Miso soup is not halal but compensated with ice cream....really enjoyed the evening Dietary restrictions: Halal meat is available for extra charge.

The food was good, we had a 730 reservation but the restaurant only had 3 chefs working and it looked like a full house of tables waiting to be served. We didnt get started until about 815pm. I felt our hibachi experience was rushed because of the chef situation. Overall it was ok. It was our 1st time here, the chef did a few tricks and some didnt work out, which is expected but also the rushed feeling is probably what made the tricks fail.

Great place to see live cooking... enjoyed halal steak

No words just terrible experience. They said my gift card didn t work, and then charged us for the meal. And then as we were leaving, she checked the card again and it worked. The manager was also extremely rude at first. Very unorganized, the food was ok, but the manager and staff were a mess. Would not recommend this location.

The experience at the Square One Mississauga location was top notch. From the moment my husband and I came in to the time we left, we felt so at ease and comfortable. Our host Oleg had the warmest demeanor and endured were catered to throughout our visit. The food is the best Ive had from anywhere in a long time. I see myself returning again and again. Definitely value for money, hands down. Cant wait to bring my visiting family from Wales to enjoy this wonderful experience.

This is such an amazing place I cant stress that enough. You get an awesome show my a chef preparing your food right in front of you. He will do tricks, crack jokes, and even flip food into your mouth. Had an amazing experience and the food was delicious. Its not cheap, but its definately worth it for the quality of food and the shoe you get. You sit at a table with several others so you can also get to know people and have a chat. Will definately come back.

No logic from the host staff and their reservation system is abysmal. I put a reservation then you put the onus back on me to call in the day off to confirm it? I placed the reservation, you should call me instead. Food also isn t that great. Try it if you want then come back to my review and like it if you agree

Unique experience and good atmosphere.

I attached a photo of the salad, if that doesnt say enough. Honestly, Im sure you can go to my reviews and see I eat worldwide. I usually never give 1 star. Hibachi teppanyaki is meant to be fun, and the food should taste good. Very simple basic salt and pepper dishes. No chilly oil or homemade sauces like other hibachi spots. All I can say to the owner is Google Ohana Steak House in Des Moines, IA, and you ll see what hibachi teppanyaki is supposed to be like, with flavors that will have you coming back. Im in disbelief with the food competition in Canada. This place operates with garbage food. They wont last long. If you like this place you havent experienced a good place yet. Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu, but this places sucks

Be careful if you re Indian, apparently they don t like Indians! Everything was fine until we had to pay.. Paid the FULL bill yet the server got mad. Followed us outside and said Stay in India! Not even from India..

The food is good, however the service and ambience needs massive improvement The entire place needs to be properly ventilated it s stuffy, the smell of food is unbearable. Your clothes, hair, everything will be covered in food smell and you may experience mild irritation in the eyes due to smoke and onions. The servers forgot we asked for cutlery on two separate occasions, which was frustrating. We have been here multiple times, however after today we won t be returning.

In just one word AMAZING from food to service to atmosphere!!

Really inauthentic hibachi experience all around. The chef looked like my little brother doing his best impression of a hibachi chef; he stumbled through all the tricks and missed our plates putting food on them. Food was bland just salt and pepper and loads of soya sauce to flavour. None of the typical sauces you d expect and we didnt get soup or ice cream like you generally do at teppanyaki restaurants. You also had to pay for pop refills which I havent done in a restaurant since like 1991. The washrooms were disgusting which added to the disappointment. I was shocked to read positive reviews because I cant stress enough how underwhelming this place is.

Aaron was very kind. We had great food that was cooked perfectly, and there was a lovely show put on. We had so much fun. Will be back.

Experience was amazing! The customer service at this location was one of the best I ve experienced. We loved the show from the chef, food was amazing! Definitely will be coming back :)

Ive visited this restaurant several times because my wife enjoys the food, but each visit has been less pleasant than the last. There appears to be some tension in the environment, especially involving interactions with the management, which affects the atmosphere. Ive noticed that the staff often seem stressed or uncomfortable after speaking with the manager, which can make the experience feel a bit tense for guests. On one occasion, even with a reservation, we waited almost an hour for a table. The hostesses were professional and courteous, keeping us updated on the status, so there was no issue with their service. However, during another visit, I overheard comments from the manager that seemed rather inappropriate for a workplace setting. There also appears to be a massive communication gap with said manager, which can make it difficult for customers. I hope to see improvements in this regard, as the restaurant has potential. For now, though, I may wait until theres some positive change before returning.

For what it is, its not worth it. Pros: Food was ok, one of the chefs seemed to care and interact. Ordered chicken, and well, it wasnt bad but the fried rice was pretty meh. Cons: Quick to serve and turn the tables over, expensive for basically fried rice and protein (we had chicken and steak) and kinda a rip off since you can pay 1/3 the price by eating in the food court at square one. Cant say Ill return. If youre looking for a different restaurant vibe and atmosphere, maybe this is for you but if youre looking for good food, go elsewhere.

Its a great concept, but on the weekend, the wait is over an hour even if you have a booking. Service is good once you are seated. We were moved around to different tables before seated.

Gone in to celebrate a birthday. Reservations for 8 PM. Seated and re-seated by 9 PM. Small portions of meat. Food taste and quality was good. The live cooking over hyped. Needed to change and take a shower after getting home as the food smell was in the clothes / hair. Pretty expensive for the mediocre experience. Dietary restrictions: Halal options. Charged $2 per person more for halal.

Went there for FIL s birthday (near square one location) food was tasty but the chef didn t give one of our guests veggies because he ran out as he was cooking and distributing.. he said he will go to the kitchen and be back in 5 minutes with the veggies .. they never came . When the bill came and we told the server .. he didn t care and didn t even apologize or make anything right . Will not be retuning to this location .

We had tried Teppanyaki while on vacation at different resorts in the south and were pleasantly surprised to have the same experience close to home. It was our 37th wedding anniversary and we were made to feel special on our special day.

Took my family here for my moms birthday. The initial service was horrible. I had called and made a reservation well in advance for 5 people on a Saturday at 9pm. When we got there, they said they didn t have the reservation.. We waited an additional 30-45 mins to be seated because they didn t properly reserve our table. The chef was great and did his job super well. But all other support staff lacked. I understand it is close to end of night but people are still having dinner. They barely came around for drinks or if we needed anything we had to hunt a server down. At one point our server was out of uniform and avoiding us (I m assuming their shift was over) but they could have let us know that they were done for the night and had another server take over. All in all, food was good but service was bad. I would not come back here nor would I recommend anyone I know to try this place out :/

Literally the worst meal of our lives, this must be the worst managed restaurant in town. We had a reservation but had to wait. It was my sisters bday. We waited to order for a bit, but on a busy Saturday it was acceptable. And then the real waiting began. We received nothing but the teeny tiny salads and miso soups that come with our hibachi sets for TWO AND A HALF HOURS from the time of our reservation. every time we pointed out a long wait we received different, conflicting excuses from various staff. I feel so sorry for everyone who works here, the owner seems like hes NOT a nice guy and instructs his staff to just LIE to guests when things are going badly. The hibachi chef was so late we almost got up and left. Our waitress did the utmost that she was empowered to - giving us free drinks and apps - but we wanted our actual meals and (even though I never do this) we wanted our meal AT LEAST partially comped after a dining experience that took over 3hrs for no reason, most of which was spent waiting for various reasons. Any other restaurant would have done this without us having to ask. The waitress said the manager/owner refused to comp anything and so we paid (for 5 people) over $300 for the privilege of having my sisters bday dinner ruined. Btw we still tipped because this was the MANAGERS FAULT, NOT THE WAITRESS. We felt bad for her and were trying so hard not to take it out on her but this was absolutely the most infuriating dining experience in my whole life!!! Negative 10000000 stars.

Always a great, pleasant time coming here with my family and friends on special occasions. The food, especially the Steak is great quality and always top notch. Love their Fried vanilla ice cream too! The chefs at the stations are generally nice, funny, and entertaining. Most of the service is professional and prompt. Definitely a fan of their designated party rooms too for large groups of peoples or for big families. Nice that they have this great option for families. The young woman working there at the front and taking us to our table could be more friendlier and more patient for waiting for my grandma to come through the entrance or just walking while we told her that all our guests are here before showing our rooms. But overall, the food, service, and atmosphere usually doesnt disappoint! The food is worth it.

Came for lunch today and had high expectations. Last time I was here was a year ago and the food was good. We ordered the salmon and steak tepanyaki with upgrades to soba noodles and chicken fried rice, and chicken karage for an appetizer. Everything was over seasoned and salty, especially the fried rice. I let the chef know and he redid the rice. He seemed annoyed with my feedback. We could barely hear or understand anything he was saying, so the entertainment side of the meal was poorly orchestrated. All I could taste was the excessive salt. The host kept coming to check on us and each time he did I told him about the quality of the food and how salty it tasted. He didnt seem bothered or really care about my feedback so why ask us if everything was OK? Horrible customer service. Bring back the chefs who know how to cook and you might have a chance at gaining customers again. There were only 4 of us at lunch. That speaks volumes about the quality of food and service. There is a reason it is empty at lunch time despite the 30% off promotion. The staff have made a mockery of true teppanyaki. Delivering a great meal isnt something Hibatchi is good at.

The experience was great service was best i genuinely want to thank our server Naren he was so polite, and always smiling. He made sure we were comfortable, how we liked our drinks, water everything. Absolutely suggest you all asking for him whenever you go there. I will definitely be coming back to try the delicious medium rare steak sooooo gooood. And ofcourse the fabulous service.

Everything amazing except Tofu. This was my first but not the last experience at Hibachi. This was the first time ever I was trying something different that was a live kitchen where you are served the food cooked right in front of you based on your taste and requirements. The Chef (Antonio) was amazing. We ordered items with Tofu for myself and Steak for a guest that accompanied. Fried rice was common for both the items and those items looked amazing. No complaints for the service or the ambience or the non vegetarian options. One complaint about Tofu is it turned out to be really soft and not up to the mark. If you want a different experience with your friends and family, please do visit this restaurant. You will love the staff and the chef. Vegetarian options: Limited vegetarian options. Some are good but some are not up to the mark. Please try to order something different than Tofu. My experience with Tofu cooked here was not good.

Worst location ever one not authentic two the fact they did not want to substitute a KIDS rice for FRIES is quite disgusting. Kids are picky eaters and would prefer fries any day. To take away from their experience and their appetite for an extra dollar is horrible. The waiter was also very lost asked for the bill and take out items such as box n sauce she literally brought one item at a time knowing I had to leave. 2 out 10 the 2 points is for the chef who didn t overcook the meat.

The staff struggled with clear communication and seemed unable to fully understand customer needs, which impacted the overall experience. Additionally, the chef appeared inexperienced, lacking familiarity with basic culinary techniques, such as efficiently breaking an egg, which gave an impression of unprofessionalism. The 15% gratuity is automatically added to the bill, and its applied on top of the tax, which felt excessive. Unfortunately, the food itself was quite average, with no standout dishes or anything particularly memorable. I can compare my tepanyaki experience in London which is far better than Hibachi. Not really worth for a birthday celebration.

Food was good but a few items were missing from my takeout order. When I called the restaurant whoever answered was being rude and tried telling that it was our fault. Pls do train your staff better.

For the price, I expected higher quality. This felt like someone making takeout in front of me. I ordered scallops and AAA Striploin Steak (yeah right), the chef at the table didnt know how to cook scallops because he overcooked the entire scallop, seared only one side and then served these hard soapy tasting scallops, they were obviously low quality wet scallops which is why they tasted like that. The chef also asked everyone how they wanted their steaks cooked then proceeded to just chop them up halfway through cooking, mix them all together, and overcook all of them. The chef did have some good skills messing around with his cooking utensils and the food, thats about it. I couldnt reccomend this place when theres lots of better alternatives in the city.

Smaller food portions compared to the other Hibachi locations, not very generous and not as tasty as other locations. Our chef was: ARII and he was pleasant and interactive to have. He was able to get the table going and we enjoyed his personality as a chef. The blonde hostess (whom we were informed was very new) has a lot of attitude and is not afraid to display it on her face without care. She did not seem bothered if there was an issue and she lacked the typical customer service approach and demeanour one would expect from a forward facing customer service role while trying to resolve any issues. She seated us where a member of another family was already sitting and this individual was away from the table at the time. Leaving us unaware and also leaving us to sit somewhere where another guest was already seated at. Nonetheless, when it was brought to our attention by the other guests at the table we figured we should discreetly bring it up to the hostess attention in private, as to not make a scene. She was not interested, showed careless behaviour and proceeded to pretend like she did not understand what had just happened. Instead of taking accountability, moving us to another table, or simply even apologizing for the oversight and uncomfortable position she had just put us in, she simply shrugged her shoulders, became aggressive and just instructed us to sit at the seat next to it. Her way of responding to our situation was strange, I would hate to blame it on a generational issue but it just may be the reason. She lacked attention to detail, understanding, taking time to listen, empathize, ask open ended questions for clarification and paraphrase if need be. Asking us to sit at the next seat placed one of us out of the chefs table so we did not feel as involved as we should have been. Hibachi normally seats its guests around the chef so all can view the chef and enjoy the interactive dining experience. It was brought to the attention of who appeared to be a supervisor, who was an absolutely lovely young lady, I didn t catch her name but I believe she had Indian origins. This lady needs a promotion! She excels in customer service, she listened to our concern and she addressed it promptly and discreetly. She was caring, understanding, and explained that this was not what should have happened. She brought it to the attention of the manager who explained the hostess was new and would ensure some additional training would be provided for her to improve in her position. We appreciated how the manager & supervisor recovered and handled the situation however we don t suppose we will visit this location in the future. I have included photos, from where my plate is you can see that I am actually behind the chefs cooking area and it caused me to not be fully included / involved in the experience. Plenty of free parking available. Close to Square One Shopping Mall.

Food was great, the razzmatazz display by our chef was fascinating, it was my first time, I will go again for sure, my only concern is the shared table, I could not take good pictures from where I was sitting as the good folks we shared table with might be offended. Overall it was a great experience.

We celebrated my birthday here. Although, it was dead on a Monday night they had 2 chefs so we did have to wait a tad. The chef was spectacular.... service was good, food was tasty. We upgraded to chicken fried rice and two orders of Two Different Items of your choice so we chose chicken, steak, shrimp and scallops. We also ordered 1 kids meal with steak. We had a good time and the servers were attentive. They knew it was my birthday and gave me free ice cream. I did not upgrade for $10 for the hat, Japanese cheese cake and song.

Host/Waiter wasn t very friendly. No smiling or greeting that makes you feel welcome. I called ahead to book reservations and inquire about birthdays, I was told to mention the birthday when I get there and they charge $10 for the package. I mentioned it when I got there and they did nothing. Though it wasn t charged I was annoyed they forgot. I had planned to bring my daughter for her graduation but now reconsidering based on the experience. EDITED - Returned for my daughter s graduation dinner and it took 45 minutes to be seated with a reservation. After being seated nearly 30 minutes to get drinks. Wouldn t come back to this location again

First time here and it was amazing! The food was absolutely perfect, the chef was so friendly and funny. At one point he even pulled a (toy) chicken out of his hat while cracking eggs! Hearing we had traveled from afar he shaped the food into a heart. Definitely recommend coming!

Right off the bat, the food is average at best. Youre really going for the show. The teppanyaki chef was amazing. He was friendly and engaging. He made sure my dietary restrictions were met. Id give service 5 stars if it was left up to him. Unfortunately, the rest of the service was meh. They disappeared when we wanted more drinks. And when I ordered one, it never came (even though I asked for it twice). That didnt stop them from putting it on the bill. None the less, had a pretty decent time.

Worst customer service ever. We came in and were told to wait a few minutes . My sister with crutches and broke leg came in and after we were waiting she asked for a glass of water from the MANAGER to take her pain medications. Then the manager said you can get water over there! (He pointed at the bar). And my sister responded but I cannot walk then he just RAN AWAY from us. I also saw a lady complaining to the employees because she was waiting for her chef to arrive. I usually don t leave negative reviews but how could I not. Never returning back here. The manager needs to be replaced. After 40 minutes of waiting we just left.

Not sure what I experienced. It definitely was not worth the money and service. First impression in walking in was dirty and windows as well. The servers seemed inexperienced. Food taste wise was good. Everything was small portions. The steak was barely a decent portion. Shrimp app was 4 shrimp for 10.50. The salad was tiny and was made with no care. When they made the fry rice there was some left over and they just threw it away. You assume they would just plate it. Why waste good food. I would not recommend going here. For the same amount of money you could get way better food. I was also told by the server you have to tip. I would obviously tip I was just figuring out the amount I was pretty annoyed at that.

My experience here was nothing short of excellent. Food was phenomenal and the kind staff made it all the better. Special thanks to my chef Rupesh and my server for making my first time here so special.

I brought gift cards from Costco and came there on last holiday, why the manager said they can t accept gift cards on holiday!!!!!! I have to pay credit cards for my dinner!!!! It so ridiculous, never come back ! If you don t want customers , then never selling cards in Costco,

service was horrible. the servers all seemed lost. forgot our soups and salads and our sauces, we had to ask multiple times for them and also forgot some of our drink orders (or would give them 15 minutes later). Drinks were below average. no professionalism and when we were asking questions and they were taking our orders, they did not seem to know much to help. the teppanyaki chef was nice and the food was decent but nothing special. would not choose to come here again over other hibachi places.

We had a great time! The chef was fun and engaging, the restaurant is nicely decorated, the food was delicious, we had the prix fixe menu. I think an important part of the experience is the chef and how he interacts with the group. We would recommend giving this restaurant a try.

Food way too overpriced ! We waited for a chef quite a while and to get our water almost 20 min. Was extremely surprised that for the prices they charge refills on soda are not FREE. Very disappointed

Made a reservation a week before my birthday. Came to celebrate on Sunday( father day) and the manager told us that we have one and a half hours to leave. No one mention this to us before not even when we call a day before. Manager was telling us that it said on the massage they send to confirm but there was nothing about it and we show it to him. We had a private room. We asked for it a week before event and they said there is no charge for it.On the day manager informed that if we want to stay he can give another private room but we would have to pay 400. We had to leave. Honestly, ruined the whole experience. Poor management. Would not recommend this place.

Good Hibachi place, they make the food in front of you, and its very fun and entertaining! Halal meat and fried rice is $5 extra. They have Chicken, Steak, Lobster, and many other options. Food is very tasty, and full of flavour! Would recommend.

This was the very first time that we have been to anything like this. It was really fun, the show, the staff, the service, it s all top of the line. We would come back if we ever have another family event to celebrate.

Wanted to like this place since Iron Chef closed down. If you are looking for an authentic Teppanyaki experience, this is not it. There are no Japanese cooks, just poorly trained imitators. Realize that Hibachi Teppanyaki & Bar is just a chain restaurant, the McDonalds of Teppanyaki. There is no love or care of the food prepared. The chicken tasted old and rubbery and full of cartilage, like the same as the gross Costco chicken except here you will pay a minimum of 40.00 for that one gross piece of chicken. The steak was even worse, they just cut a piece of steak up on the hot plate without first removing any of the fat or grizzle. Since the meat only cooks for a few minutes, its impossible for all the unedible fat to render down, resulting in an almost unedible dish. Bottom line is the food is gross, which makes the ridiculous high pricing even worse. Unauthentic experience and dont recommend anyone spend their money here. Try Princes Teppanyaki on Eglington near Centennial Park, it is much better and authentic instead of Hibachi Teppanyaki & Bar, the McDonalds of Teppanyaki. Parking: Dirty, uneven old lot Wheelchair accessibility: Spots are not very wide or suitable for a side entrance van. Curb cutouts are terrible and are in need of serious repair.

Frequent Hibachi Burlington often. Tried this location for Mothers Day (unfortunately, stick with what you know.) Myself + daughter dined. It has smaller cooking tables than Burlington, very crowed at the table. I ordered the spring rolls, chicken set w/ upgrade to chicken fried rice, & my kid just wanted basic chicken fingers + fries, shes picky, but I wanted this for Mothers Day. Our cook came, he introduced himself I cannot remember his name, (mid-late 20s perhaps India background, wearing what I believe is called a patka, apologizes if Im incorrect). He went around the table to confirm orders, he got to myself & child, in a condescending way said, winner, winner chicken dinner. He repeated our order aloud & said you really like chicken & nothing else apparently. And laughed, yeah not very funny. Just before he started cooking myself & kid slid our chairs back a bit as we were anticipating him lighting the grill into flames like they always do & we did see while waiting at this location. He NEVER DID, thats SO disappointing. He started to cook & asked about allergies/food sensitivity etc... practically everyone ordered a type of seafood (obv except us), I asked not to cook my meal w/ the seafood, he said hed cook it after. As hes cooking, I said, you didnt light the grill into flames. He VERY CONDESCENDING replied, I will, just wait, this isnt my first rodeo. ( yikes sorry I said something). I knew from experience that shouldve already been done. *He actually only did the fire onion volcano. While dinner is moving along, I keep asking our (M) server where my childs chicken fingers were, she received her small plate of fries w/ the sauce that I had asked not to add which ½ her fries were in. I ended up having to ask another (F) server & the (M) host for her meal, she didnt get her chicken until basically the very end just as our server was already asking the kids if they wanted ice cream. Thats how long she waited, she hardly ate the fries bc of the sauce, & was upset as she was hungry & in turn making me upset. During this he was still cooking the chicken & steak, he looked at me & said, Ill start the seafood here & pointed to the empty area on the grill, I didnt want him to but bc he was already condescending to me twice, I wasnt interested in more from him, I just said, ok thinking the seafood wont touch the chicken & and there wont be seafood taste to my chicken (yes, it has a taste when you dont like it). Nope I was incorrect, he used the SAME COOKING TOOLS for both. I tried my chicken, it had a slight seafood taste to it (enough for me not to eat it.) My daughter is getting upset as I am. I asked for containers, the bill & machine. I paid very quickly & left in a hurry as my child was near breakdown. The dinner experience was EXTREMELY LACKLUSTER AND MEH... he never lit the grill on fire, no egg catch into his hat, no squirting water out of a bottle that looks like a man is peeing onto the guests for a laugh, just broccoli toss, a bit of jokes, & a whole lot of banging the cooking tools against the table/grill. Ill keep my business in Burlington. Also it wasnt until later that night that I saw the charge on my credit card. I was shocked almost $100 he said he removed the charge for the chicken fingers. I called the restaurant for them to explain, I spoke to 3 people, then they had to call me back. He said they dont have chicken fingers at that location, huh? How did my child get them just as dinner was ending? How did I take them home & have a picture. They charged me for the fries =$8 which she never ate bc of the sauce & chicken karagge =$10 WHICH I NEVER EVEN ORDERED. Ill dispute those 2 charges with my credit card company!! My error as I shouldve checked my bill, oh & by accident I tipped 19%

Food was good. Service was disgustingly horrible. We were here for a birthday party and they warned us about coming on time with a 15 min window. We were here earlier and had to wait 1.5 hours before we were even served water. Took 30 mins after that to get a drink and food started. The chef was amazing ! He made the food with so many passion and we had a great time with him. The service on the other hand, it s as if they are paying us to eat here. Like we owe them a favour and have to eat under their tyranny. Never ever ever coming back here again.

Terrible experience. Bartenders rushing clients to leave the table. Broccoli was totally black, made whole dish burnt flavour. Some of the food extremely salty. Service and staff wasn t the most friendly one. And manager extremely rude.

Current finishing eating here as I post. Cool was nice, inviting and entertaining. Food was really good. Definitely worth a visit
