Levant Restaurant in Mississauga

Visited the restaurant for the first time to have some breakfast the food was actually good. The server idk a bit confused with bill probably coz of the language barrier but the guy for shisha was very polite. I must suggest to check out the menu before you go as it a arabic place and everybody only speaks arabic.

Great food with nice ambiance

After watching a TikTok video about this restaurant, my daughter suggested we try it for dinner. I invited my sister and daughter to join me. My sister arrived first and was seated at the back of the restaurant. Despite waiting for 10 minutes, no one offered her a drink or brought her a menu. When we arrived, we made eye contact with the staff and tried to get their attention, but still, no one came to our table. Eventually, we managed to flag down a waiter, who informed us that someone else would take our order. Meanwhile, three staff members seemed focused exclusively on a group of gentlemen smoking hookah, ignoring us. After waiting 30 minutes without any service, we decided to leave. This was, without a doubt, the worst service I ve ever experienced at a restaurant. We felt completely unwelcome as customers.

I hate leaving bad reviews but I couldn t stop thinking about how bad this restaurant was. As soon as we walked in the smell of shisha is overwhelming. The server took way too long to come take our order . We wait about 20 minutes for food and we were super disappointed! The portions were so so small.. we asked the mixed platter for 1 and wanted salad instead of rice or fries and the bowl for the salad was just a bit bigger than a sauce dish, the whole dish was so tasteless!!! I also got the lamb in the yogurt and regretted it after 1 bit, I almost ended up putting a tablespoon of salt in it because it was so tasteless. We also got another dish with bbq chicken which was super dry and tasteless. Kebba was good after i added salt but had wayy better. The waiter didn t come around at all to check in on us, we didn t get any napkins or except the ones on the cutlery. Overall everything was so dry, tasteless and very overpriced! Do not waste your money on this place definitely the worse $163 spent. The only reason i went to this place because Marcelloeats(YouTuber) said this was a hidden gem and honestly it should be hidden because it was no gem.

Amazing place with delicious food and nice customer service

I ordered take out from this place for the first time. Food was of very average quality. Prices are high. Portions are tiny. They charged 30 dollars for a platter they claimed is good for 1 person, not sure what that means as it was definitely not good for a normal adult. Never going there again.

I heard about this restaurant and decided to try it out. I read the reviews before hand and noticed that many people complained about the service not being prompt. Still decided to try it out. It was simply disappointing, we sat down and nobody came to our table for almost 20min. The place wasn t busy and there was staff behind the counter cleaning cutlery and other on his phone. We decided to get up and leave since we didn t even have a chance to order. I also noticed that the other table next to us was not having a pleasant evening due to the wait. I do not recommend at all and if there was an option of zero or minus stars, that would be my rating.

Expensive for the quantity. Took a lot of time for the food to come. The fish grill the fish was really small. The food is like a regular Arabic restaurant wondering why proced so high just for the seating. The quantity was very less. People smoke shee shaa where you sit so you need to find a place to sit. I invited my friend for lunch at Levant Restaurant today and was extremely disappointed and embarrassed. Hummus had no taste and the traditional texture, mix grill platter had one thin index finger size beef kabab, perhaps four tiniest pieces of sish tawok, and same size n quality with beef. We also ordered lamb shank which had a different name in the menu served with barely 4/5 tblsp of rice. EACH AND EVERY ITEM THAT WE PAID FOR HAD MO FLAVOUR AT ALL!!!! Nothing looked like not even close to how food was presented in reels on their insta account. Total waste of money and time! Will never go back or recommend Levant Restaurant anyone. **not to forget- even the cappuccino coffee was not authentic and tasted like hot chocolate drink!

The food was delicious and fresh. Everything we tried was so tasty. The price was also very good. I went with my husband and three teenage boys and they loved the food so so much. Definitely coming back.

Highly disappointed with the meal! Aside from the flavorful fattoush salad, everything else was undercooked or bland. The mixed grill was undercooked: the chicken was raw and flavorless, the meat was too bloody. I ve never left food on my plate after a bite. They ended up not charging us for that dish. The lentil soup was more runny than it should have been and lacked flavor. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.

Its my favorite place when it comes to oriental food. The service is good, the staff are friendly and kind, the prices are reasonable, the food is very delicious, especially the shish tawook, and their breakfast is great.

I drove 60 km to visit this place that I heard from social media was the best restaurant. We ordered mixed kebab; the lamb and chicken were not tasty at all. Also, the price was high for this kind of food; its not worth it at all.

Please save yourself the headache and do not go here. They will scam you for overpriced water without telling you. Food is bland and the music is terrible. Shisha flavor is also really bad. I would give this place a negative rating if I could.

I hate to leave such a review but the service has to improve!! More employees and more being attendant to customers. Its a middle Eastern cafe we are know for hospitality so this definitely ruins it for me. Hopefully the next time we go the improve there service...

Really nice place but poor service and bad customer service. They ask you if there is a reservation and the place is not busy, then they tell you on the weekend the minimum per person is $30 if you want to sit outdoors. Food

The place was not clean, the tables are sticky and need to be wiped down. I had to wipe down my own table. Certain things can t be ordered because the baker left and don t know when they ll come back .

Very bad service!! Bessam must not be organizing at all, he is too unprofessional and disrespectful. He must be in the kitchen as he is not in the right spot.

Where to start 1) Forcing people to pay a minimum of 30 dollars for each person on a table, therefore cornering you into ordering food specially if you arent a smoker and definetly not planning on having 6 drink items. 2) Untrained staff that has no experience or appropriate SOP of dealing with customers and took ages to serve us except for one person (Bassem or Bassam didnt catch his name) who was nice enough but others were too confrontational to the point of asking us why are you asking about a lunch item when its dinner time like why do you care? Just answer the customers questions. 3) Bland, unseasoned mix grill plate that obviously was old and probably either microwaved or oven heated. Stingy one ply of pita bread with one piece of Kofta and a couple of pieces of frozen chicken tawook and pretend Kebab coz that was not Kebab. Oh and I forgot the Costco fries. If the plate can talk it would scream cost cutting. Used to like the place but I dont think I will be returning

Levant Restaurant is a fantastic dining spot! The food was incredibly fresh and clearly freshly cooked, which made the experience even better. The customer service was outstanding, and the staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this place for both the amazing hookah and the delicious food. If you re looking for a great spot to relax and enjoy good company, Levant is the place to be!

As visiting from quebec & the gulf region , it was quite disappointing experience for a brunch ! for the quality, tastes and mostly the quantity which is inproportionate to the high prices(2 manaeesh for 44$). But , must not forget the Good attentive service by Nicole and the nice seating and atmosphere outside in the empty garden...

The place itself has a beautiful outdoors seating area (this is why I go there). Service needs some serious improvements though. Their shisha (hookah) is not bad (not the best either). This spot is usually for when you re close to Missasagua and wanna have a cute little outdoorsy place.

I am greatly disappointed with the food. Was not good at all. Usually the Syrian breakfast is wonderful. The amount of food on the plate was minimal. Very pricey. Its a ridiculous amount to pay, considering its just breakfast items. No meat except for the meat pastry. Not a happy client at all. My advice is to make sure you know what you are paying before ordering.

Very very slow service. We were not checked on once, had to ask for our bill three times and still sat for 30 minutes waiting. The server is very friendly but extremely slow and forgetful. We eat middle eastern food a lot and would say the food is decent, nothing special. Quite similar to chain middle eastern food like paramount. Overall, we found the portion really decent size and the menu is good for options, but the taste is only mediocre and nothing special. We especially didn t like that the kitchen staff were smoking shisha while preparing food, which we found quite gross. Overall, I d give it a 1 or 2 star and we won t recommend it and definitely won t return. Nice staff, but very slow. Big portions but they taste average. Plus there were flies around our food, which isn t ideal.

Dinned in and waited for 1 hour just to order! On a Friday night, there was only one guy taking orders for indoor and outdoor! when it was our turn to place our order, the guy decided to talk on his cell phone for 5 mins and vape at the same time! The guy taking orders should not be working in the restaurant business! He had no idea how to talk to customers! Ordered the half chicken and it was really dry! Save your money and go somewhere else!

I called to book a table for 9 on the patio seating area, they told me 9 is fine but they do not take reservations for the patio and it is only walk-in. When we arrived there, they said that they can only give us a table for 8 and they can NOT arrange a table for 9! Also they told me that they have w minimum charge of $35 per person and they claimed that they have informed me on the phone while they did not. When I showed that I am upset they did not even care about it and hence we left. They used to have a good management/service in the past but they have been rude to customers lately. Such a terrible experience. We will not go there again, that s for sure!

I had a delightful evening at the restaurant last night with my friends, enjoying some refreshing fresh juice, particularly recommending the avocado variant. Mr. Bassam, the manager, was incredibly welcoming, and the staff provided excellent service throughout our visit. Highly recommended

We got the beef kabob and the shish taouk. The flavors are good and I like the style they cooked the French fries. Also the hummus is good because they add olive oil on top with chickpeas and pickled onions. The service is also great. They have shisha and play great Arabic music on the speakers. But I must say, it is not authentic flavour. I like the patio with the water fountain it is so lovely. And also the wall art of Fairouz and other Arab singer.

I wish I could give negative stars reviews!!!! Worst service ever. It took us a while to get seated, few of us were missing chairs. We had to get them on our own. The person came to take our order after 45 mins. Food came missing 2 dishes, they just forgot about them. 2 dishes came not edible, we asked that we didnt want them, they were denying our taste and said this is how the dish normally. And they didnt take them away. We ordered 3 shishas, after 40 mins, they tell us they ran out of 1 shisha so they can only serve us 2. There was a group who got seated after us and got all their shishas. So we werent priortized at all. At the end, they tried charging us for all the missing items and charged us for 6 shishas instead of 3. When we told them we only got 3 shishas, they didnt believe and had to call the shisha guy to confirm. They tried to charge us for the 2 dishes that we returned, and they told us that we didnt tell them to take them out properly. Very very very bad service. No napkins or utensils got to us. We have to ask for them and remind them. I understand that theyre super understaffed but the communication between was a bit not in a professional tone. We came to celebrate Eid with family but turned out to be one of the worst experiences. Food prices were not in sync with the portions at all too. The place was very nice but the service made us not enjoy the experience!!

Very disappointed with the experience we had coming here. Very pricey for food that did not match the experience. Got a shawerma plate with fries expecting the fries portion to be as generous as how middle eastern places are usually but instead put in the smallest portion on the smallest plate.Why open a restaurant if going to cut portions of the fries your serving to customers. To add to that paying above 20 bucks for a mediocre manouche is just mindblowing.

The place is secluded however the background music was too loud. We had to literally shout at times while tilting on each other to hear the other party. The service is amazing and staff is really friendly. We couldnt try any menu items because their kitchen was closed at 9:30 PM. except the Green Tea, Turkish Coffee & Muhallabiya (Rice Pudding with Rose water). To be honest, we found the Muhallabiya to be plain and just so-so, nothing special. The Turkish Coffee was too little like a couple of sips and thats it and also the Muhallabiya, which was in very small bowls/ containers. Comparatively, the place is expensive. Wed ordered 2 Turkish Coffees, 1 Green Tea and 2 Muhallabiya, that costed us around CAD. 55 + TIP. Well probably go there some other time to try their other menu items, but this time it was not a great experience.

Great, cosy spot in Mississauga near square one; family run Halal business offering Syrian Mediterranean cuisine. Great tasting lamb that falls off the bone, kibbeh cooked to perfection, shrimp pasta. Kunnafeh was perfect. Really loved the experience!

Food is pricey for ridiculously small portions, I visited the place twice once in June and now in December, I ordered the same Gordon blue meal, and you can see the same price with surprisingly smaller portion truly disappointing.

Very welcoming staff. Yummi food specially the kibbeh. Amazing atmosphere.

I had an incredible dining experience at this restaurant in Mississauga. The food was truly outstanding, and I can confidently say its some of the best Ive ever had in the area. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious meal. Additionally, the staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive, making the overall visit even more enjoyable.

We came here for the first time with 2 kids , they were smoking shisha at 11am . The owner came and asked us to leave because someone is smoking and we have 2 kids so if someone from the city would come and sees us . They would get fined! Why would you kick 7 people out for the sake of one person smoking at 11 am ! The city should go inspect those idiots !

We came in today with my kids at 11am to have breakfast, we just sat down and then were asked to leave because they have people smoking shisha and dont want to be caught and fined for having kids in the same place where there is smoking indoors. Who serves shisha in the morning?!
