Unfortunately, it seems like this restaurant is closed. It used to be my destination for crispy fresh fish and see food. Sad to see it go

This food was absolutely delicious!! The chicken shawarma was juicy and had tons of flavor. The beef shawarma was absolutely divine!! Prices are great! although there s a big line but it s definitely worth it!! I highly suggest coming to this restaurant it was overall amazing!

I didn t think it was worth it, honestly. The best thing was the Samaka Soup, and that got a star for itself. My husband and I spent 80CAD on an average food, nothing special besides the soup. Even though the restaurant was empty, I had to go find someone to get a container and the bill. I wouldn t recommend it, sorry. Oh, they only serve bottle water from Nestle brand, no tap, not sure why, but I thought this was odd.

I havent visited the actual restaurant but I have ordered their food online . The grilled / fried Salmon is one of the best I have ever tasted . Also you have to love ethnic restaurants and their generous portions :) taste , fresh and filling :) Food

Samaka is by far the best Egyptian seafood place in Mississauga. Highly recommend their grilled sea bream, grilled shrimps and fried calamari.

It s so good but overpriced, I paid 47$ for one person

I just ordered from them on Ubereat and I got the fish not cooked well. Very disappointed

The salmon was thin and dry. The seasoning in general is not good. The avocado in the salad was inedible! I can t believe they actually served it to the customer. Absolutely disappointing.

The staff was very helpful and welcoming. Enjoyed the food just like at home.

The fish was cooked just right, Singati style (grilled) with some extra spice I requested. It was moist with some herbs. Fries were great as well, crispy with some herps on top.

I had the pleasure of visiting Samaka today!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND the fried sea breame and the singari grilled fish .When I tell you the food was amazingg, I mean it We got the singari style sea bass , the fried sea breame, the fish (haddock)and chips, the eggplant and garlic potatoes as a side, the baba ghanoush and the hummus with bread. Everything from the hospitality , to the plating of the food and of course the taste was 200/10!!! The chef Tauseef was really killed it! He was also super friendly and checked in on us to make sure everything was okay. The waitress, was super friendly as well and was able to knowledgeably answer all our menu questions.

I was here a while ago forgot the name since I m from Ottawa. I had calamari, fries and salad. The calamari was so fresh and tender I have not had anything like that here in my own city. Please open a restaurant here Parking: Large lot with many spaces in the plaza.

Excellent experience for our party of 5. The Molokhia with shrimp was the perfect starter, and the fish was fresh and perfectly cooked. Prices were very reasonable. We cant wait to go back.

Recently have been on a Mediterranean diet and Im very pleased with the grilled fish they have to offer, it also comes with rice and salad (very balanced dishes). Additionally, I highly recommend the calamari. Cant wait to try more things on the menu!

We went there today for a birthday celebration and the whole experience was excellent. The fish and the calamari is delicious, the restaurant is clean and the host is the best! We will be back and thank you so much, we had a wonderful time!

Showed up here at lunch time on family day after calling ahead the night before to confirm availability. The place was just opening when we arrived after 12 and the staff looked surprised and unprepared to serve us. We order coffee and tea to start and received puzzled stares from the server who said they only have Arabic coffee despite the menu indicating two options normal coffee and Arabic coffee . They also did not carry any milk. It took over 30 minutes to get served our teas and coffees which were brewed beside the counter by our server. It s important to note that we were the only guests in the restaurant at this time. We opted to pay our bills and relocate elsewhere after our drinks arrived. Can t comment on the quality of the food but the interior of the restaurant and atmosphere was not as expected based on the photos online, ratings or the price point of the menu items. It looked more like a well decorated cafeteria than an upscale dining establishment.

I didn t have much expectation, but the food arrived, and it looked amazing and tasted even better. As you can see the picture, I couldn t wait to poke in the fish :) I got the fried fish and the grilled shrimp and they were Both very good tested like authentic Egyptian seafood. Highly recommended.

Really enjoyed our birthday dinner here. Loved the shrimp appetizer and the Lobster dip and chips. The specialty fish was delicious and cooked perfectly. We had never had Egyptian food before tonight. We felt welcomed and very well taken care of by the chef and waitress. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Its a different experience of fish food. You can see the fish and select what you want to eat. Fresh and tasteful.

Food was delicious authentic egyptian seafood! Service was great. Only advice would be to teach your staff the art of selling. Luckily I know what to order but I was trying to ask for whats good or recommendations but there was no interest. Every time I order something and ask for more details I get a robotic answer of thats it? Buddy I am here to enjoy and eat you could have sold me the entire menu with minimal human interaction. Be careful these small things would highly affect your customer loyalty and sales.

This place has great food and the fish is the highlight! We got the Sea Bass with lemon and herb and the Sea Bream. Both tasted delish. The fried shrimp and seafood soup were so good. I would recommend this place to everyone who loves seafood!

Every item we ordered was absolutely delicious and so fresh! (The only exception was the steak, which we requested medium but came well done; its not a big deal given that everything else was amazing) What really elevated our experience was the service provided by our server and the restaurant manager. They really went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic dining experience, and that we did!

Nice place

Had dinner on a Saturday night which I understand is probably one of the busiest days. But to have absolutely NO service is hard to comprehend. The owner seemed very nice and and Im sure he wears many hats keeping his business going but he needs to have better people working as servers. We had our orders taken by a girl who didnt break a smile once and then that was the last we saw of her. A few guys came to deliver the food we ordered with absolutely no communication. I had to get up several times to get things like a spoon for the soup they just brought out. Drinks that we were told we had to get ourselves and again to ask for a container to take home some leftovers. Then lastly to get up for the last time to pay at the counter where the only thing they didnt forget was to show us that a tip was required. Not sure for what because no one truly offered us any service. If they want to be a fast food style restaurant then they should just follow Tim Hortons lead and offer counter service. Its a shame because the food tasted pretty good. Not amazing, but pretty good. But the service was non-existent. Theyll need to do better if they want to last. Unfortunately, we wont be back.

Lovely time at this restaurant. The fish was beautifully cooked and the soup and salad was different but very tasty. The staff were friendly and explained out the different ways the fish could be cooked. Served with a lovely Turkish coffee.

We came a group of 20 people . It was our first time . We loved the food, it was so tasty and fresh. What we loved the most was Khater, the owner. Besides, he is a great chef. He took care of every one of us. I highly recommend this place to all. Definitely will come back.

Went for a family lunch, and the dishes were beyond our expectations! It was nostalgic of authentic Alexandrian Egyptian cuisine. We shared the Sea Bass (Cooked Raddah style), Sea Bream (Cooked Singari style), grilled shrimp, and fried calamari. Each main dish that came was fresh, packed with flavour, and piping hot right off the grill. The side dishes also had a lot of care put into them (Salad, sayadya rice, dipping/dressing). They were also able to accomodate for my allergies, and replaced tahini with spicy mayo and lemon & herb mayo. Portion sizes were great, and staff even asks if you need more rice, fries, etc. without adding more charge. The staff here are extremely knowledgeable about the fishes, when/where it came from, and what cooking style it pairs well with. They were super friendly, and definitely put a lot into making sure all customers feel welcomed, and cared for. Highly recommend visiting Samaka, and wish I can give beyond 5 stars! Dietary restrictions: Owner was able to accomodate for my allergies. I am not able to consume sesame seen in tahini on their menu), and was provided both spicy mayo and herb & lemon mayo. Both were delicious, and also a large portion for dipping that lasted me all my dishes! Parking: Lots of parking available in the plaza.

We were a large group that kept increasing in numbers from 12 to 22. They were super accommodating and friendly. The food was delicious, the service was superb and the atmosphere was lovely. I highly recommend the ringa dip, the tajine, and the sea bream singari. Totally worth the drive from the North end

Food resembles a truly authentic Egyptian seafood cuisine which is the first I found to my liking in Canada. I am on a short travel in Ontario and thought of giving Samaka restaurant a try, and I can say that I didnt regret it. This is certainly a come back when we revisit Mississauga at any time. I loved everything I ordered today as its simply delicious. I was skeptical of ordering online but I didnt have time for dine in, and surprisingly the food was delivered as hot as it would have been at the restaurant. Tahini is one of a kind here in Canada, Molokheya with shrimp is done to perfection not watery or oily, thick and very tasty. Calamari tasted great too; it wasnt crunchy, but to be fair I was ok with that as it was covered until delivered which puts the crunch off. Grilled shrimp is appetizing. Overall, i enjoyed my order and would like to thank the team at this place for the positive experience they offered :)

The chef made the best tasting sea food there was and it tasted incredible, even after a slight mistake was made on an order it got replaced instantly and completely free of charge!

We had amazingly good seafood from here. It was wonderful and fabulous. Soup is a must try. We had arabian coffee, soup, sea bream and sea bass. Definitely worth a try. The ambience is very nice and interior design is something different. Highly recommend this place.

Stumbled across this place randomly as my mom and I were looking for a seafood spot in Mississauga and this was one of the very few that showed up. I m so glad we decided to come here because it is a well deserved 5/5! - The restaurant is clean and does not smell very fishy, despite the display of fish to choose from (bathroom was not as clean!) - the food was so delicious, reasonably priced and well portioned. My mom got the sea bream and I got the sea bass, neither had a fishy taste at all. Perfectly seasoned and grilled sangari style! I want to come back to try the other types of cooking. We got an extra plate to take back home for my dad because it was so good. Such a simple but beautiful meal. Be warned, it s a whole fish so there will be bones! - the service was awesome! Shoutout to our server Tauseef who even offered to take our to go meal to our car!! It was ~$100 for three full meals. I m totally gonna come back!!

We had the fried calamari, seafood linguine, grilled fish and grilled shrimp and calamari. The food is excellent, the fish is the best and the freshest I ve tasted in Canada. They also offer you complimentary salad and tea. However the 2 stars reflect the service and shady practices of the owner that upsold us so much food and then promised to take care of us. Only for him to disappear when the meal is over and send someone else to take the bill, which btw is completely fine, however, after we pay and finish off our tea he comes to the table claiming why did we pay and that he was busy with a big order in the kitchen when we had already been waiting 15 mins for the bill and were seeing him chatting in the kitchen. Overall won t be back.

Just finished our lunch here. A simple restaurant with great food. We just came back from Greece & Turkiye. Dine with a number of very highly rated Mediterranean restaurants there. This restaurant is on par with them. Seafood soup is a must order.

All the seafood I have eaten in Canada has been Western seafood, except for this place. If you find yourself asking, whats western seafood ?, is there a difference? What is it different to ? Then you are one-step closer to discovering something that we in the middle east quite frankly, take for granted. Get the grilled shrimp, and either the sea bass or sea bream, ask the cook whats the best way to cook it if you are unsure, he will hook you up. Trust me, you wont be disappointed. Fish and shrimp cooked in a style I have never experienced in Canada before. This place does it right. Only thing thats missing is an ocean near by to cook fresh caught fish If you love seafood, do yourself a favor and try this place.

The food was medicore, had to wait over 1hr for the food to come. The overall atmosphere was pretty bad as well, tables werent really nice, chairs werent super nice either.

Food, seating, and service was all top quality. Ordered the shawarma and it easily topped any other shawarma place in the plaza, you can taste how fresh the food is.

The service is absolutely amazing

Soup was great, great tasting seafood and fresh, definitely on the salty side. Portions are very generous.

Ordered the grilled king fish and sea bass singari. Keep in mind that this is an Egyptian food style restaurant. Sea bass was pretty moist and tasted clean and fresh to me, but the king fish was overcooked and dry. Flavour wise I think they are keeping it simple not much is happening for the fish. The music was too loud, the place smelled fishy, and it can be a bit cleaner. Overall it s not too bad. The food is simple and good if you know what to order.

I came here a couple years back and I just cant forget this place. I must go again! The food was fresh and so unique, its hard to find a halal seafood place you can trust that does not use alcohol in their food. The service was amazing. The owners took our order and Subhanallah, they are such kind people. I felt at home as they were so social and truly made us feel comfortable. We were unsure what to order and they helped us with what we might like. They are such honest people- I was going to order something expensive however after hearing my preference, they recommended another item that was less expensive. That is how you know they care about their customers and arent just here for the money- this honesty is truly appreciated and I have only good wishes for them and their business. I had a fantastic dining experience at this restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was top-notch. I come from a Mediteranian region and this is one of the best food I ve tasted. By far, the best seafood restaurant I ve tried in Canada ! Will certainly bring friends and come back !

Im portuguese and its my first time here at samaka, we loved it, it fantastic! The decor is gorgeous, my son is only 1 year old and loved the fish kept asking i want more mommy. I would recommend everyone looking for seafood to come here..

Really great ambience! Freshest salad at a restaurant. The soup was delish! Customer service 99.999% Only feedback, watch your steps as you go back out - there is slight descent as you step out of the restaurant. Will come back again!
