Seafood specialist overlooking the water, with a relaxed, modern interior & outdoor patio seating.
Our first visit to Snug Harbor. We went for a Saturday lunch. We had a reservation but didn't need one as there were plenty of open tables. The food tasted wonderful. My only concern was my scallops order had only 5 small scallops. Thet were good but seemed a tad small for the price. Otherwise I would say there are other options on the menu but don't order scallops if you're hungry.
Snug Harbor was fantastic. We were seated right away, and our window seat didn’t disappoint. The interior is beautiful—such a cozy vibe. We started with a big bowl of clam chowder to share, which was perfect. For our mains, we had the Salmon Florentine and Canadian Whitefish. The portions were huge, and the flavors totally exceeded our expectations. Our server, Maya, was friendly and served with a big smile, making the experience even better. We’ll definitely be back to try more dishes. Solid 5/5! Highly recommended.
The best seafood restaurant in Mississauga port credit, its located besides the lake, lake view on meal, foods are similar as more than 5 years ago I came. No busying weekend lunch time, but we really enjoy the food and service, enjoyed a great lunch in such a Beautiful fall day. Free parking, you can walk around the lakeside after the meal, there is some nice store nearby, will come back.
Dinner at 5 pm was nice and peaceful, greeted by friendly staff to our table at the patio. Upon being seated, the view was outstanding and relaxing with a nice harbour breeze but the outdoor windows and poles were covered in spider webs, dead bugs and chewed gum which made it unpleasant. After ordering our food, I was given a dirty plate with dry white sauce smeared on the edge, the waitress didn’t seem to see it until I pointed it out, the napkins given were covered in dry bird poop, another waitress glanced at it and didn’t decide to give us new ones until we asked. Other then the terrible service, the food was amazing. Crab cakes were rich and light I love the sauce that goes with it. Sea scallops were definitely the best scallops I had, usually they overcook it but these were out of this world. They were seasoned and seared to perfection. Seasoned vegetables and crispy mini potatoes were also a hit. Rainbow trout cooked perfectly with a nice crispy fish skin! Overall the food and somewhat of the environment made this a wonderful experience! Improve your service please!
Lovely food. Wanted to visit for a while. The greeter was a little abrupt, but we managed to get a table. The food was quick. Service excellent. The only issue I have is not having a choice of tip. I really dislike having a minimum of 18% thrust upon me, despite great service. If you need to do this, pay your servers more money. I only got two fish tacos, whereas this price would have gotten me three elsewhere. Anyway, it's a lovely spot and was nice to try out, but I probably would choose another restaurant over this one. For the ability impaired, we did note that the restaurant was not well modified and a gentleman struggled to get his wheelchair over the doorstep; despite being helped by staff, which for me, shows some lack of attention to customers who have special needs.
My first time and I’m hooked. Sitting right on the water in the marina with a perfect dining experience both inside and on the patio. Service on par but the food was impressive. We had the shrimp cocktail and crab cakes (omg). Mains we did the lobster tail and what I found to be the hit of the night…seafood ravioli. Insanely tasty. A huge thx to Amanda for her wonderful service.
A nice spot for dinner by the lake! I recommend reserving a table so that you get the best seats, since that is essentially what you're paying for. The food is okay, it's not the best but it's still good. It's definitely overpriced for food, but since you're sitting right on the lake, the atmosphere is really where the experience is coming from. The food portions are not bad though, everything comes in a pretty big size. I recommend the pizza (pretty large) and the clam chowder (large size for sharing) -- those were good! The service is a little slow. We went on a casual Tuesday evening and there was a lot of vacancy in the restaurant, but the tables where the view was the best were almost all taken up. I wouldn't come here again since I prefer better food than views. But, that's just my opinion! Overall, good spot.
This is a great place to fix your seafood cravings. The taste of the food is awesome and the presentation is really nice too! We ordered the Blue Crab Cakes and Beet Salad for starter which was pretty good. The portion size of the main course could be better though. We ordered 3 main course for a party of 3, so we were good. We ordere 2 desserts both of which were good.
My favourite restaurant in Mississauga, sny time of the year.
Very good , excellent food.
Service was fantastic, food was ok.
Dinner 8 on a Saturday night. Everyone throughly enjoyed their meals. Ambiance was great. It is quite loud though so talking was a challenge down the table. Not unexpected for a busy Saturday evening. Just an fyi. Service was attentive and the meal pacing was great. Parking: Parking may be a challenge in the warmer months or during the day but we went in November and it was fine.
Amazing food service and atmosphere
Always classic dining
Booked for a table of 10 for a get together with hospital colleagues that hadnt seen each other for 6 years and one flying in from overseas. Our friend booked the table & received email confirmation. One of our colleagues arrived and was very rudely told by someone who should not be in the service industry, there was no booking. Our friend that had booked the table arrived with the confirmation email which had the wrong date on it. A phone call had been made to amend this date prior to our arrival. A table was hastily set--up in a corner. We had friends arriving a little later and others leaving earlier. A bit of a revolving door at some points as colleagues were coming from work. Food was excellent. No issue with the waitress, she was incredibly embarrassed for us. Our table for 10 was booked from 3 - 8pm. At 6pm the Manager, I want to say Sherry was her name informed us that the table needed to be vacated by 7pm. We were stunned to say the least. Looking around the restaurant there were many unfilled and unbooked tables. The Manager ended our, what was to have been, a very happy and long overdue reunion. What a shambles. Never ever would we return or recommend. Awful awful Manager. Shame on your establishment for having someone so anti customer service employed in what used to be such a great establishment. Very upset at the whole event.
The food, for the price, was probably a little bit of a let down. Just a little. Other than that it was a good experience great location and I can t compliment the staff enough, super friendly and welcoming.
Amazing Perfect for a romantic dinner Food
I got food poisoning the following morning after eating their clam chowder for dinner the night prior. Poor food quality, dont recommend
The fish and chips were exceptionally delicious, and the presentation was impeccable without being overly oily.
Honestly love this restaurant.. fresh oysters all the time. Food is really good and the Ceasars are sooo good. Its one of my top 5
Absolutely love this place! If you visit Port Credit, you have to visit this beautiful restaurant Vegetarian options: Can add more
Great atmosphere. Overall good.
The service from Alex was amazing! We started with a Caesar salad which was good, very simple. The muscles were great but the Jack Daniels burger was extremely dry, a bit disappointing. I also found it a bit strange to have wet naps/wipes set up with the cutlery at the start of the meal.
Nice restaurant!! Will definitely go again
I love Snug Harbour the food and service have always been outstanding. However, I was a bit disappointed this time to find only chocolate options on the dessert menu. A bit more variety would have made a perfect meal even better!
Location is amazing , the food and service were excellent would definitely visit again.
Love the vibe and gorgeous view! Food are ok. they do come in big portion, are are perfectly cooked, if not too cooked. And the flavors are... edible. Except for the clam chowder with bacon which was more like bacon chowder with some clams.
Amazing location and great service. Food unfortunately doesnt hold up to the same standard. While everything tasted OK, we felt like the Bruschetta (which tasted nice) might have been from the freezer and the other dishes just were a little bit boring and nothing special. Expected more from this one
Have been going to Snug for many years. Always a great experience
A nice restaurant space wise, but below average food thats priced high (for what it is). Probably wouldnt return. Calamari (and presumably most other dishes) cooked from frozen (not validated but highly suspected). Pasta sauces are heavy on the cream (otherwise lacks real flavour). Mussels smelled very fishy, and the broth had half an inch of oil sitting on top of it. Fairly young servers who are service oriented. The space itself is quite nice, and waterfront. Id also recommend sticking to wine or beer, versus cocktails.
Lovely dinner here this evening. Thank you Jay for your amazing service. Only thing I can nitpick is the scallops were a tad mushy. Apart from that, my pasta was just the comfort I truly needed!! Really appreciate your hospitality . Keep up the great work. It s no wonder the place was so packed
Food is mid, youre paying for the ambiance.
Really nice restaurant. I lived around the area for years but never went . Had a Friday off, so I went for lunch . Clean nice atmosphere, great service food was really good .
My first time there..I probably won t go back. The service was awful. 3 different servers promised to bring me some hot sauce. I begged. But they never came with it. The food was not worth the cost. Over cooked salty fish. Poor service, not happy with the food.
An amazing dining experience
I loved food, drink and atmosphere.
Got salmon florentine for takeout. Really nice, warm, classy female host who let me sit at the bar even though I was just waiting for my food. I ve been to the restaurant multiple times before and it s been great.
My dislike is the ladies washroom! I like this restaurants food and use the restaurant when Im boating in Port Credit, foods decent; however, the ladies washroom has a distinct horrid odour of sewage emitting from the pipes. Its a total turn off for a restaurant. Please fix this issue...the smell of sewage and food dont mix.
Food was mid but good vibes
Very nice restaurant for seafood
Food was good. The Bruschetta could have been better. It was a bit plain but the calamari and seafood ravioli was great. Our server was a bit much. I m glad that the server checked in but it was a bit too much. I would be back hopefully on a day the weather is good so we can enjoy the patio.
Good food and drinks ambiance is nice
Our drinks took 25 to come to our table. We were not offered water. I had to leave my table to go to the bar to ask for water. Food prices have increased, quality and level of service has decreased food was served cold The servers were not friendly. I will not be returning
I am updating my review following tonights dinner. I ordered the scallops. They looked burnt and were very chewy. Ive never had scallops like this before. There were 2 pieces of broccoli overcooked, and the remaining vegetables were very hard and not edible. The calamari was very thin. Felt like I was eating fried batter. The coconut shrimp were good, but we received 4 for $18. After tonights meal, I doubt I will return. Over $200 for a family of 4 and we didnt order any drinks, water only. Not worth it. Oysters are always excellent. The restaurant tends to be pretty busy in the evening, so either make a reservation or you might need to wait a bit. Love being next to the water.
Great for family functions. Reservations are recommended.
2024 Sept. - The food was fantastic. It was very good, everything tasty. Yummy yummy yum Wonderful location by the water. Extra nice when you have lovely warm weather. The staff were exceptional. There was one issue that was thoroughly and very quickly rectified. I appreciate the great training and how personable the young staff were. Well done. There is 3 hour free parking across the street at the Library. After dinner walk to Evas around the East corner for excellent ice cream cones or in a dish. Then you eat that while you stroll the waterfront. A great date night out.
I love Snug Harbour. Weve been coming here for years. We were pleasantly surprised on the menu. We normally dont eat salmon so we thought ....lets order it and see. We tried the sweet pecan Salmon. It was to die for. They never fail us on the menu or recommendations. Our only complaint was the music was so loud the patrons were even louder. We couldnt hear each other talk. I think they should have the music on but as it gets busier shut it off. I hear so many people say I love the place but the music is too loud. TRY IT PLEASE!!!! Another trip to SNUG HARBOUR. They didnt disappoint us. Our server SIMONE, was an absolute GEM. She patiently met our needs and we couldnt be happier. So next time you visit SNUG HARBOUR, ask for SIMONE, and be generous with the Tip. She deserves it.
We went here with a large party and found the service to be still very good. They were able to accommodate some special requests including the loud speaker music near our corner and some seating arrangements. We also had a Bee incident that the server was able to rescue me from! The food was decent. Although I wouldnt have anything specific to say about it, as it wasnt memorable. We had the Tacos and the fish plate. Our kids had the fish and chips. Youre definitely paying for the atmosphere more so than the food. Parking was limited in the lot adjacent to the restaurant. Its shared with the Public for the Credit River trail area. Dietary restrictions: Peanut allergy. But not able to accommodate for desserts.
Very delicious food and excellent service
I wanted to take a moment and give a giant thanks to Aimée for her wonderful service during our dinner. I had quite strict dietary options and she still recommended and found me delicious food to eat. Aimée also took the time to make us comfortable, helping us with the outdoor heater, making sure we werent feeling rushed despite staying past closing! She made us laugh throughout our time. I had a great experience thanks to her wonderful service. I so very much appreciate all the recommendations! Will be back soon!
Amazing spot on the Harbour with incredible seafood! The seafood pasta is to die for!
Great food!
Today was a beautiful day so we decided to go have lunch on the patio by the water to enjoy this day. We had never been here before but we will definitely be back. The fish and chips was the best I have ever had. I never eat tartar sauce but what they served was so good I made sure to dip my fries in it too. Also the homemade coleslaw was so good we also got 3 orders of it to bring home. To put it mildly if it had not been a bit busy I probably would have licked my plat off it was so good!!!! The service was excellent and all of the staff we interacted with were polite and friendly. You are doing something right so please keep it up. See you doon. Parking: Lots of parking and it is free.
Great food experience Riverfront Nice patio Fair pricing Good service
Absolutely love this place. From being seated to leaving service was fantadtic
Our server was great, she did everything right, no complaints there. However, our main courses came out way too quick. We had a salad and oysters and we literally just had our 2nd oyster and didnt even get into the salad when the mains showed up. The food was great and we would definitely have it again. Next time though, we will ask to have our mains delivered later or just order them after we are done with apps. Atmosphere was pleasant but the acoustics inside made everything too loud, so much so that we had to raise our voices just to hear each other. Overall a great spot and great food and service. I would definitely recommend going there and giving them a try. Cheers Parking: On a hot summer day or especially weekend parking might be a little restricted due to people using it for going into the park. Wheelchair accessibility: Ramps, automatic doors, planty of space inside and on the patio.
4 people, 4 different dishes, all were amazing. 100% we are going back. The crew over there is very very experienced, they know how to serve, they know how to recommend food based on your questions, they are always there for you. The food is just amazing, everything we ordered was stellar. We also loved the ambience, we sat inside but I can say with high confidence, inside or outside, the experience will be amazing.
Frozen fries! At a restaurant like this Id expect fresh fries. Its a small effort that makes good fish and chips great. The oysters and service were fantastic.
This is one of the best family owned restaurants Ive been to, very spacious and lots of seating options. The food is fresh and delicious. The view is even better. We had the pescatore and fish + chips and let me tell you. Everything was seasoned great and the staff was kind and accommodating. I would definitely be coming back.
Very tasty food, especially the grilled ribs! We were served by a very nice waitress, Maya!Thank you very much!
Best service, amazing food and great views. Winner all around. Cristina is absolutely lovely! Have not had this level of service in a while.
The wife and I had lunch here and the food and service were excellent.
The 90s called and they want their food back
Went here for my dad s birthday, and while our server was nice, the other 3 staff we interacted with were plain rude. Would definitely not come here again. The food was good, but I can get good food and way better service elsewhere.
Great service. My husband enjoyed his oysters. I had salad
Great location, food was good. Service was awesome, thanks to Vanessa who was very attentive and cheerful..made for a memorable experience
Wonderful place for food romantic night with your love
The girls on the reception are very rude and not welcoming, I went once more on Thursday 15/8/2024 with 8 guests that I invited , we reserved the day before and went on time at 1:30 pm , the reception made us wait for an hour and 45 minutes and when we started to complain she start to talk to us in a mean way and very disrespectful way she was not polite we were shocked, there were empty tables in front of us but they kept telling us they are booked, though they have a rule against booking on the patio, and they would not let us sit at any other empty tables to wait. I asked her to call her manager and she called another waitress from the front. then I insisted to call the manager and she came and she was very kind and solved the problem very quickly, since the restaurant was almost empty because it was weekday. The restaurant was one of my favorite restaurants in Canada we always have family gatherings here and we bring our guest to this beautiful restaurant. Beautiful view delicious food. We like the fish and chips especially the seats on the Lakeview and the lighthouse. I don t recommended to everybody. because of the hostesses they are not polite.
Fish and Chip is the best in the menu also try the chicken and rice Parking: Less waiting time for outside dining and inside is cosy Food : 5/5 |
Snug Harbour Seafood Bar and Grill located on the waterfront specializes in fresh fish, seafood and other flavourful Canadian cuisine here in the Port Credit area of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
Went with my mom for a cute night out by the lake. The scenery there is beautiful and restaurant decor is as well. The service was good at the beginning but slowly deteriorated. The food was not good at all. My scallops were burnt and my moms fishes tacos were not seasoned well. I paid a lot of money and wanted to like it but unfortunately did not. Probably wont go back :(
Very scenic. Beautiful area. Very roomy restaurant. Awesome staff.
Amazing food, average service, fantastic location and atmosphere.
I spent a wonderful afternoon at the bar. The bartender was simply lovely. I had the salmon, it was delicious. Cooked perfectly. I ll be back!
Everything is horrible!!
Very enjoyable Saturday afternoon
The food was not bad but a little pricey. The best was the server, she was AMAZING!! Becky, thank you for your service, you made our lunch enjoyable. All the best for you from the big family at the corner . Food
Romantic lighting, good for your dates.
I had an amazing experience at Snug Harbour! The atmosphere was perfect, with a beautiful view on a sunny day. The highlight of the evening was definitely our waitress, Alexandra. She was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the night. Her recommendations were spot on, and she truly made our dining experience exceptional. I highly recommend Snug Harbour and be sure to ask for Alexandra if you want top-notch service. Can t wait to come back!
If youre craving seafood, do yourself a favor and skip Snug Harbor Seafood and Grill. This establishment utterly fails to live up to its name as a seafood destination. First, the calamari was a major letdown. What I received was barely recognizable as calamari mostly just breaded and fried remnants that had clearly been cooked in old oil. It was greasy, flavorless, and anything but fresh. The seafood clam chowder was equally disappointing. It tasted like it came straight out of a can likely a can of Campbells soup. There was none of the rich, hearty flavor you expect from a well-made clam chowder, just a bland, watered-down imitation. Then there were the fish tacos. What should have been a highlight of any seafood menu was instead a disaster. The fish was clearly frozen, and after being thawed, it turned into a soggy, tasteless mess. The tacos were poorly assembled, and the entire dish was far from appetizing. As a seafood restaurant, Snug Harbor deserves no more than a two out of five. The only saving grace was the Jack Daniels burger, which was surprisingly good. The burger had a nice, flavorful patty and was well-prepared. The Caesar salad and chicken were also decent, but neither of these are what you d come to a seafood restaurant for. In summary, Snug Harbor calling itself a seafood place is a complete misnomer. The seafood offerings were abysmal, and it s clear this is not where they should be focusing their efforts. If you do decide to visit, stick to the burgers and avoid the seafood at all costs.
Made a reservation for earlier in the day for lunch so parking was no issue and we also got a spot on the patio overlooking the water and got a peek at all the yachts. Food and service was wonderful, ordered the fish & chips and Canadian whitefish. I would definitely order the whitefish again, the lobster sauce was amazing. Definitely coming back for more seafood.
Came here for a date this past Friday, the patio was perfect beautiful view and not a lot of noise. We both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Great time, could be better lit. Amazing Service, Did the Oysters, Calamari, and Catfish along with a delicious Smoked Salmon Pizza! Well done!
Food was pretty good but on the pricier side, to be expected given the location. The patio was great but certain tables are better than others as, depending on when you go and where you sit, and if they have the windows/plastic up, you can get baked by the sun. The seafood linguini was limited in their seafood offerings - there were no mussels or clams - solely shrimp and scallop with the linguini. To be fair, the menu description only lists shrimp and scallop but I did expect more seafood from a seafood linguini. The scallops and shrimp were a good size and satisfying. Sauce was tasty, but you couldn t taste a strong lobster flavour. Oysters were nice and fresh with a generous amount of sauces. Calamari was nice and light and not heavy at all, which was a delight. Parking: Free parking lot but very hard to find spots as it is very busy (people park here to access the beach, parks, etc)
Nice atmosphere, food tasted fresh!
A friend took me to this place for lunch on a Sunday. We couldn t get outside seating within a reasonable time, so I d recommend booking a table if you plan to visit on a weekend. Since there were just two of us, we didn t wait long, but larger groups were continuously waiting, which suggests longer wait times. Planning ahead might save you some time. We had the Fish & Chips and the Black Tiger Shrimp for lunch, and both dishes were excellent. The Black Tiger Shrimp, in particular, stood out with its flavor, aroma, and buttery gravy delicious and well-deserving of its reputation for seafood! The interior is quite posh and aesthetically pleasing. Maybe next time I ll be lucky enough to get an outside seat
Visited twice now, consistently good food and very polite and friendly staff, indoor and outdoor seating.
I went to snug harbour for dinner, this place needs to improve the quality of their food and cook it properly, we ordered the Canadian white fish, it was ok , I wouldn t order it again , clam chowder soup was average, my son wanted the steak, the menu said market price so I asked how much it was and she said $62 for a 10 ounce steak which I thought was ridiculous for this place it s definitely not fine dining, I ordered it and it was awful, dry and tough , very poor quality and not cooked medium as we asked. I would not recommend this place for dinner all they have going for them is their location.
Live nearby and thought would try this place as always see it is always filled with people. Came here for a celebration, once seated it took them at least 10 minutes to come and ask for drinks I was on the urge of leaving. Once food was order it took nearly an hour and a half for everything to arrive. The food was bland and the fish and chips I order although was a big portion the fish had barely any meat in it and the fries got really cold and oily. Might try this place again maybe during the winter when it s less busy but at the moment don t recommend
This is my second time within 1 week, visiting this place with my family. Amazing delicious sea food variety! Gives you a feeling as if you are in an island resort. You have a view of the lake while you enjoy the food and drinks.Love the sun, piercing through the windows, and the lake looks even more beautiful. Servers are very polite. Very professional yet friendly environment. The restrooms are super clean. The whole neighborhood gives you a Caribbean feeling. Ample free parking available.
Everything was great I went back the next day for lunch as well. The seafood raviolis are amazing.
Nice
Smoked salmon pizza simply heavenly!
Menu has variety to offer and food is tasty. Service is good, peak hours it will be hard to get a table. During warm seasons the patio is nice, however, indoor dining atmosphere is average.
Atmosphere at Snug Harbour was nice although our patio seat was in the corner. So my husband couldn t see the marina only the parking lot. It was quite busy but, our server was great. Andrew was his name I think. My husband ordered the fish and chips and said it was quite good. The portion was good. The restaurant was cheap with the ketchup of all things. It was served in a very small one ounce takeout container not enough for fish and chips. He didn t get a chance to ask for more. I ordered the Chicken Dijonaise $27.00 unfortunately it was a total disappointment. It was to be lightly breaded but, it was thick and hard. The breading actually look like a hard case around the piece of chicken. It looked like the kind of cheap frozen chicken you buy at a big bulk grocery store. The veggies were ok and the slice of garnish fried sweet potato was burnt. The dish could be much improved. We split a chocolate brownie desert. It was ok but, in a high priced restaurant the whip cream shouldn t be a vegetable eatable cream. Good atmosphere and that s what you re paying for. Maybe the seafood is better.
Thank you Nicole for being the master of ceremonies for our event - your timing was perfect for the champagne, wine and birthday cake. Thanks to you the event was flawless. Everyone enjoyed their meals as well. Thanks to all - we will be back.
Oysters were delicious and super fresh. Seafood pasta was loaded with huge shrimp and monstrous scallops. Sauce was creamy without being heavy. Waterside table was superb. All staff were up beat and attentive. Great experience.
Nice view but terribly slow service, very noisy and the food was just ok. Reasonably priced.
Good experience
We had a lovely meal with a spectacular view. The service was excellent and our waiter, Brennan was wonderful. He made the evening extra enjoyable with his friendly nature. The salmon was delicious as was the beet salad.
was perfect for a relaxed date night
The customer service was terrible and the attitude was very bad. We hadnt finished eating and they brought us the bill, and in the end the waitress threw my ticket at me, and all because she wanted to finish her shift.
Customer service is the worst , they treat us badly . I did not recommend this place at all
I come here often for good quality mussels, and oysters, never been disappointed, always great mussels and oysters
Great oysters. Mussels to die for. Best Ceaser cocktails
Portions can be a bit bigger
Great spot for lunch especially on a sunny day. if you can get here by 11:40-12pm then the seating beside the river is choice! The Haddock was fantastic and the rest of the meal was cooked to perfection. 5 s at least on this particular day anyway. Liz our server was great
Server did not come to me once today to offer anything or ask
The oysters were great. It would have been better if the wine had been served with oysters, but not ten minutes earlier.
Excellent experience from entrance to exit.
The food, unfortunately, didn t meet our expectations. The fried calamari lacked flavor, so we had to send it back. The chicken Dijonaise and ribs were decent, but nothing particularly stood out. While we left feeling full, we didn t feel fully satisfied with the meal.
Nice and relaxing
Lovely restaurant by the lake, perfect for a relaxing dinner with family/friends
Parking: Can be full at busy times beautiful place overall Food
One of my all time favourite restaurant and I love the food taste and presentation and all the lovely people working there I m going this place since 2009 strongly recommend five star rating Parking: I always get parking no problem at all
Great food in a picturesque spot. Service was great, food was great, lots of parking, clean washrooms. Recommended!
Great service and food! And the view!
The waiter serving was friendly. There was no delay in service. You have to be careful as the waiters take the plate away from you while giving you food. Its a bit stuffy inside, with a view of the outdoors, and its pleasant.
Fantastic lunch here today. Can highly recommend clam chowder, then Canadian Whitefish stuffed with prawns, lobster and scallops. Others in our party enjoyed Catfish, and fish tacos. Sat on patio overlooking harbour. Attentive friendly service.
Great food, fantastic service, and a lake view! A great place for the whole family.
I was in actual disbelief of how far this restaurant has declined since my last visit a year ago. We arrived at approx 10pm and we were told the kitchen closed in 20 min so we would have to place our orders quickly. Appetizers and mains all arrived at the same time for 5 people, we were reminded by the minute the count down time to when they were closing. At about 10:45 some of the lights were turned up indicating leave! We were told when we had 5 min until close and we better chug our drinks and basically get out. At 11pm on the dot all of the lights were all turned on brightly , and what had been a full restaurant moments earlier with people enjoying their evening, had been abruptly cleared by the staff who clearly had more interest in getting on with their plans for the evening than providing a standard level of service. We thought maybe this was just young kids wanting to get on with their night, but then at 11pm the manager came out and told us to leave and we were not allowed to finish our full drinks of which we were not inclined to want to chug them. They were quick to kick us but not befor paying almost 450.00 for this horribly unbelievable experience. In addition, our plates were not cleared, the food quality was terrible. I will not ever be returning to this restaurant again!!! I would recommend that this restaurant have a final seating time and treat the last customer the same as the first. In addition the food and drink quality were cheap, should be reviewed. The owner needs to pay attention to what is going on in this restaurant with their staff and food. Its really bad
Nice seafood restaurant in the Port Credit harbor. Great service and food.
Had a great dinner here. You can Tell that food is fresh. Great portion size. The service was great from the moment we arrive and till the end. Great hidden gem. We would highly recommend coming here. Food
Reception very rude and condescending. Place was almost empty but best seats for our reservation were in front of a wall. Eventually sat early in order to get a not so great patio location while waiting for our friends and she reminded me again that we would have to start ordering as soon as we sat down as we were being seated half hour before our reservation in an empty restaurant. Waitress was nice enough , drinks were watery, food was edible but not very good, and waitress had no idea where from or what the fish was that we were ordering for upwards of $40 plate and on the menu. Never served water. Skip this waterside restaurant for a real restaurant that knows how to treat guests and serves good food. This place exists because it s on the water but the rest is a one star. Ownership should be ashamed of this place.
Tracey was lovely. Great server.
Dropped for the first time and it was over the top enjoyable Great atmosphere Fantastic food - I had fish and chips while My partner had a very tasty chicken dish. On the water on a beautiful Day with great service - this on a Busy lunch day! Highly recommended!
Drinks and our meals we excellent. The service was also great. My wife and I enjoyed our time there.
Waited a long time to get served so we left. Saw servers walking back and forth but didnt even ask if we wanted water or even to let us know that they would be a while. We would have stayed if they at least let us know instead of rudely ignoring our existence. Felt unimportant on such a beautiful day. Wont be returning. If you cant attend to customers then dont seat us.
Great food and cocktails
One of our favorites.
Food is fantastic, view is great, service was good until there was a shift change and then our table was somewhat forgotten. Would come back again.
Delicious lunch in a beautiful location. We were seated faster than quoted on a Sunday afternoon, the outside patio is charming and the service was impeccable. Tracy was our server and other customers were hugging her on the way out and saying hi when they came in. You could tell she is a favorite. My favorite meal on our long weekend.
pricier than your average restaurant but good location and food! tried the whitefish & Cajun style catfish both super tasty, calamari was alright abit extreme on the breading. overall worth a try good date night spot
This is a fun and lively spot, but it was a bit messy and service was very slow (it took 15 minutes for a server to show up to our table, and it wasnt even at full capacity). The calamari was great, the catfish was very bland and a too soggy for my liking.. I was hoping it would be a bit crisper like a typical blackened catfish. It is pretty pricey for what you get. Location is beautiful. Parking: Large parking lot, but always packed at dinner time in weekends Kid-friendliness: Lots of families with kids
Service was great. Food quality wasnt quite as good as I remember from previous visits.
Just had a wonderful time here. We were served by Natalie . She served us very well . Her recommendation was perfect . Moreover she was very quick , responsive and was greeting every guest in so welcoming way . She was very sweet and charming . We got very good vibe dining here . Definitely satisfied with food and service we received. She is best at her work . (She definitely deserves a raise ).
A must visit restaurant in Mississauga
The worst service ever the food is garbage the people inside are so inhospitable and the waiters and waitresses are so unprofessional overall I would never come back again
Food is subpar for price. Ive been here many times. They need help on taste consistency.... simple things like seasoning of food...needs work.
Seafood was fresh and every dish was well prepared!
Arguably one of the best patios in the GTA next to the river/marina. Food is a bit pricey but not far off the norm for port credit. Great location to grab food and cocktails when visiting PC
Food made me sick
Great restaurant, relaxed ambiance, good service and very tasty food (I had the salmon florentine)
My SIL wanted to celebrate her 50th birthday so she made reservations and we stopped in. We had a great seat at the very back of the patio which overlooked the water and had beautiful shade. Our waitress was friendly and patient and had our drinks out to us in a very good time. She was attentive and took our orders repeating it back to us and sharing what she enjoyed off the menu. It was that weird time frame between lunch and dinner. The patio was very busy but also very laid back. There were two young men bussing tables and they were impressive as they moved effortlessly around everyone tidying up and clearing tables etc. We ordered a calamari to start and it was absolutely perfect. It wasnt greasy/oily or overly chewy. It was the perfect crispy treat and the spicy mayo dip was amazing. Do yourself a favour and actually squeeze that lemon over the calamari, it makes a significant difference. The tang of the lemon compliments the calamari and the dip just brings all the flavours together beautifully. I ordered the Seafood pescatori it was absolutely delicious and this is coming from a person who isnt the biggest pasta fan. It was filling. SIL ordered the scallop meal and MIL ordered the Fish Roughy (I cant remember the proper name). MIL says the fish was too spicy for her (we didnt think so at all....lol). Overall, we all enjoyed our meal although both enjoyed mine more. The bathroom was very clean and you can tell its checked often. As it is at the very front of the restaurant one could expect no less. We walked along the pier after lunch and it was a perfect ending to the day. Will definitely return for another meal.
Good spot but there is no variety of dishes. Its strictly seafood. The prices are also astronomical. Dietary restrictions: There are no accomodations for diatary restrictions.
I went for lunch, it was my first time here. Having read several mixed reviews, I was somewhat prepared to be underwhelmed. I ordered a small Caesar salad (the menu at the restaurant as well as the online menu shows a price of $10), but on my bill it was $11. Not a big deal, but if prices have changed, perhaps they could update their menus. The salad was average, with very small bacon bits. We sat on the patio which was completely covered and basically like sitting indoors. Isnt the point of sitting outside to be able to enjoy the sun? I also tried the calamari. Let me be clear, Ive had calamari at many restaurants, from lower end restaurants to very high end restaurants. This was probably the worst Ive had. Small, thin rings overly coated with whatever thick crusty coating they used (panko? flour?). The exterior was extremely crispy and the actual squid was dry. So much crusty exterior that I could not even tell what was on the inside. My friend tried it as well and agreed. It may as well have been deep fried shoelaces! I sent it back and asked if they could make another one, noting that it was dry and to please not overcook it. The second one was only slightly better. The sauce it came with was pretty good, but not worth $21. My friend had the salmon Florentine with potatoes and vegetables, although the amount of vegetables given was sad. For $32, theres no excuse to give such a small serving of vegetables. Also, I did read some reviews about the noise level which I had assumed referred to the inside of the restaurant. But even though we sat outside, it felt like we had to talk loud to hear each other. The views outside were nice, but I wont be coming back.
The only thing this restaurant got going for them is the location otherwise everything else is mid bit overpriced
I literally had the utmost best solo lunch experience, on the patio. First time here, found it by accident after finishing work early, in the area. Fantastic service, from beginning to end, ( coming from someone with a passion for, and extensive hospitality experience ), perfect dirty martinis, great oysters, tasty food all around, and I cannot emphasize enough how lovely, accommodating and ON POINT my server (Kira) was. She truly made my experience perfect Kira is an asset and an ace when it comes to personable and prompt service. I don t live nearby at all, but look forward to coming back to Snug Harbour again and again, and trying some other items, and having more of their oysters. Yum! Whole bit was simply 10/10 and money well spent. I was very content and look forward to my next visit. Also, free parking on the north side of lakeshore, just 3 steps away from Snug, and the busy chaotic pay parking lot beside it ;) you re welcome
The oysters were delicious. Other than that overall quality down from previous visit. We felt quite rushed to finish our dinner so the restaurant could service the next party.
The only good part about this place is their Location which is good and the food is coming in very small portions and it is tasteless and the meat amount they use is not what they charge you for the servers were ok but definitely is not worth to eat there it s just a good location
The atmosphere is good. Service is prompt. It is a bit pricey - but to be expected
Great place. I went for the first time with my wife for our anniversary. The food was fresh, and the service was friendly no complaints at all. The prices were reasonable, and the portions were quite generous. However, the restaurant is quite loud, so if youre looking for a quiet place for conversation, this might not be the best choice. Parking: There are free parking spaces available since it s located next to a park, but finding a spot can be extremely challenging. There is also a paid parking lot nearby with plenty of spaces.
This place is magical and holds a special place in my heart. Unbelievable location on the water, gorgeous views, yummy food and very warm and friendly service. My sister worked here years ago and had many happy memories of being a waitress- owners are lovely and they always make our visits there special.
Nice ambience and view but food is quite disappointing.. its supposed to be a seafood place but Ive had better seafood at chain restaurants.. after being disappointed by the appetizers I thought Id play it safe and get fish and chips.. its deep fried so it should at least taste good, was my thinking.. but it was quite disappointing.. fish was dry and tasteless, the fries average .. calamari is probably the worst Ive had lol.. the oysters are ok quality but definitely not for the price
Always new it existed in the backdrop of Port Credit but never actually tried it out, but tonight I did. Excellent food, AMAZING SERVICE from start to finish, wonderful views of the lighthouse and lake. Our server AMY was incredible,. At the end of the night I realized I forgot my jacket and they noticed and had it waiting at the front desk before I went to get it. Impeccable team! Thanks for making our experience a memorable one.
