Halal South Indian non vegetarian and Indo chinese.
Had a wonderful burst of flavours at Madras peppers! We ordered lamb sukka biriyani, chicken Szechuan noodles and parotta Salma which tasted exactly how it does in Chennai! The virgin mojito was fantastic! I would definitely recommend they increase the quantity of the drink for $6.99! Haram served us, and she was quite fast and very friendly! It was our second time and we didn’t find any difference in taste! Will definitely go back
I tried the Parotta ,Chicken 65 and Schezwan Noodles at Madras Peppers, and both were excellent! The parotta was flaky and buttery, pairing perfectly with the spicy, flavorful Chicken 65. The Schezwan Noodles were packed with bold, smoky flavors and the perfect amount of heat. Great food, cozy ambiance, and friendly service. I’ll definitely be back!
New restaurant that opened up in central Mississauga, my brother and I were very excited to try non-vegetarian South Indian food and this place did not disappoint. We got lamb kothu parotta and the chicken 65 with cheese dosa, accompanied by a generous helping of shrimp 65. All the portions are massive and the food is delectable. We decided to go back the next day to try more items, I got the lamb pepper dosa and my brother got the chili chicken kothu parotta, which were also great. I really want to try the biryanis at this place in the future, we will definitely become regulars here.
Review based on my biased opinion. This visit was unplanned, and I already had drank a Large Hot chocolate from Second Cup, so review is based on my wife's feedback. The atmosphere and vibe of this place is 10/10. Like how they have installed bells o. tables to call the help. That's quite cool. They have redone the Interior nicely and man, that menu card looks premium, I am not talking about the items; but talking about the menu card in general. Attaching photos for reference. They seemed understaffed on our visit. We ordered Honey chilling potato and Masala Dosa. It was not the greatest, we have had better before. But it was not bad either.
The chicken and cheese dosai was made to perfection. The sambar was spicy and one of the best sambars I have ever had. Beautiful interior and the 2 ladies who served me, extremely polite and attentive. I will definitely be back.
Madras Peppers, Mississauga – A Flavorful Experience I recently dined at Madras Peppers and was thoroughly impressed by the food and service. We ordered a variety of dishes, including chili parotta, fried rice, chicken lollipop, paneer curry, chili beef, and buttermilk. The food was fantastic! The chili beef, in particular, stood out with its authentic flavors, reminding me of my time in Chennai. The chili parotta was perfectly crispy and delicious, and the sauces accompanying the dishes were spot-on. Although one of the chicken lollipops was slightly undercooked, the staff handled it graciously. The waitress apologized and promptly replaced the dish without hesitation, which speaks volumes about their customer service. Overall, it was a great dining experience with excellent food and attentive service. Highly recommended for those craving authentic South Indian flavors!
Amazing food! And the ambiance is great as well, very clean and tidy. Located just across the Kariya park, it makes it a good spot to grab something to eat. The staff are very friendly, shout out to Sara for being vert attentive to our needs! Will definitely come back. 😊
Tried out this place as it was accessible and the kids were hungry. We were the only ones there on a Thursday late afternoon. We ordered a Bombay chicken- I asked the server if the onions were large pieces or finely diced. She gave me a look and sort of sneered at me saying it would naturally be larger pieces. I asked if the onion could be finely diced. She nodded. We also ordered a veggie fried rice and a cheese dosa. The kids liked the food but I didn’t find it too tasty. I had ordered a Madras coffee which was pretty good. That was the only item that I enjoyed. Something seemed off with the service at this place. I’m not sure if it’s the button on each of the tables that when pressed, summons the server to come to your table. Perhaps it’s being abused and the servers are annoyed?
Great food and friendly staff.
Very average taste. Can be better
Highly recommended Balwinder was our server, she was very courteous thank you Food : 5/5
This was my first time here trying the south indian food. The food was amazing and Prab was very sweet providing excellent customer service.
Amazing food. Prabh was very helpful in getting us the food and service. Food
Would like to say Thank you To PRABH - Who serve us like most Important Guests
Prabhleen at Madras Pappers Restaurant is an exceptional waitress! Her service is top-notch, always attentive and friendly. She goes above and beyond to ensure a delightful dining experience. I highly recommend her for anyone visiting the restaurant.
Prabhleen at Madras Pappers Restaurant is outstanding! She truly enhances the dining experience with her exceptional service. Her attentiveness and friendliness make every visit a pleasure. I highly recommend her for anyone looking for great service at the restaurant.
Madras Peppers: A South Indian Gem with Unforgettable Sambar Idly! Madras Peppers is an absolute treat for anyone craving authentic South Indian flavors, and their Sambar Idly is the standout dish! The soft, fluffy idlies soaked in their rich, flavorful sambar create a harmony of textures and spices that is nothing short of perfection. The sambar is the star here aromatic, hearty, and seasoned to perfection with just the right balance of tanginess and spice. It complements the idlies so well that each bite feels like a warm hug from South India. The portion size is generous, and the dish is served piping hot, making it the ultimate comfort food. I tried chilli chicken, Mysore masala dosa and Mango milk shake. All of them were excellent The attentive service by Prabh was appreciated and cozy atmosphere further enhance the dining experience. If you visit Madras Peppers, the Sambar Idly is a must-try. It s a dish that stays with you long after the meal is over. Highly recommended!
The Sambar here is excellent. It is spicy, which feels great in the cold weather, yet not too spicy. We tried Sambar idly. Idly was also good. We also tried Chilli chicken, mysore masala dosa, gulab Jamoon, and mango ice cream shake. Everything was great.
The waitress Prabhleen at Madras Papers is a gem! The dosa was on point, and the service was excellent. Definitely a must-visit spot for some tasty South Indian food.
Excellent food, dosa was really good must try their gobi Manchurian and Szechuan noodles and masala soda
The ambiance of this restaurant is so dreamy and cozy. Prabh is the waitress and the way she served us the food was exceptional. I will definitely suggest this place for a visit.
Great food costumer service from prabh was real great always smiling
I visited Madras peppers. The dosa and chatneys are very delicious. Staff are very cooperative and talk respectfully.
good quality
The food was awsome and employee name Prabh she was helping alot and very friendly and very helpful. 5 stars for food I never tried Kothu Porantha before but it was so tasty ..
The food was amazing. Balwinder and the other two staffs were polite and sweet. We will come back again.
This is the second time I am visiting here.. this place always fulfills my craving for dosa especially the Kara masala dosa .. and I love the ambience here , not only that but the service provided is also excellent .. it was balvinder who severed us the second time as well. She is just so pleasant and never hesitate to help us . Overall great service.
Lowered my rating after dining at their new location in Mississauga downtown. Unfortunately, they seem to have lost their magical taste. Its still very good but it used to be an exceptional place for spicy biryani and mouth watering Madras beef. The beef curry had drastically lost its flavors. Original Review: Best south Indian food, best Tamil Nadu food, best Biryani. The most authentic Tamil Nadu food one could find in Canada.. The taste is even better than many restaurants in Tamil Nadu. Its run by people from Tirunelveli. You could feel the taste of real spices and the real south Tamil Nadu preparations. Must try their Biryani, Parotta, Madras beef.
I had a wonderful experience at madras peppers today! Their service was fantastic Actually their server prabh greeted us with a big smile and was so cheerful throughout our meal. Her positive attitude really made our dining experience special. The food was delicious, and her attentive service made everything even better. Totally loved it .!!
Good food and service
Very expensive
Food was delicious. Must try! Visited again and was served by Harmeet. Service was faster than before and food was delicious as usual. Vegetarian options: Have good selection of vegetarian dishes.
Thank you to Harman for doing an amazing job and suggesting us the best apps and mains!
I had an incredible dining experience that brought the authentic flavors of Madras to life. We ordered ghee idly, parota, and Chettinad paneer gravy dosa. The ghee idly was perfectly rich, and when we asked for extra ghee, they provided it for free. The parota came with a generous serving of salna. Plus, the owner was kind enough to assist us with parking, ensuring we had no issues. Overall, it was a delightful meal with a wonderful personal touch.
I would repeat Madras pepper solely for Prabh hospitality. Food was good but the service was the pinnacle satisfaction.
Such a huge menu of food to choose from and everything we got was really good. The service was great from Sara and the place is very comfortable. Highly recommend, we ll be back!
Just had a date night here, the food and service were great. Their chai and mango lassi were the cherries on top. Thanks for the great hospitality Sara o/.
Amazing restaurant and ambience. More than food, i loved their customer service (balwinder and sara)
Food is good but overpriced, 3 idlis for 10 cad wow.. many famous South Indian shops are there serving awesome food in a nominal amount. I will prefer other options.
The food was delicious and the service was also awesome.
Food was delicious and our server Harman was lovely thank you
Good food, good vibe, good service. Paid parking around the restaurant.
I landed at Madras Peppers since Udipi Madras was opening at 11am and we wanted to have our breakfast at 10am. I was happy that it happened . The menu was amazing and the service and staff (Harman) was extremely courteous and customer friendly.
I recently dined at Madras Peppers and was thoroughly impressed! The Idly Sambhar was perfectly fluffy and paired beautifully with the rich, flavorful sambhar. Each bite was a delightful explosion of spices. The Masala Dosa was equally exceptional; it was crispy and generously filled with a savory potato mixture that had the perfect balance of flavors. The accompanying chutneys elevated the meal even further. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the service was top-notch. I cant wait to return for more! Highly recommend!
Had masala dosa and pepper chicken dosa for breakfast. Nice crispy dosas and tasty fillings. Good ambience and pleasant service
Visited this place for breakfast, idly, vada, masala dosa.. all served hot. Sambar and chutney were delish.. super courteous service.!! Maybe they can increase the breakfast spread/variety. Cheers! Food
Unhygienic
Best tamil food! Authentic taste and will visit again! Madras briyani made by chef Danaraj was extraordinary tasting exactly as you get in Tamil Nadu
Good food and ambience. Recommend the Mysore masala dosa. Harman was prompt, kind and great at her job!
Food was good and harman was very helpfull
Worst taste. You have really good options in gta for South Indian
Decent food, worth the price. Thanks Harman for the awesome service.
They don t even give you plates to eat biryani in. Upon asking for plates specifically, we were given one plate for 2 people. Never heard of Basic necessities/decency???? Average food/taste.
Had a fantastic experience. We tried the Mysore Masala Dosa, Masala Dosa and Chilly Paneer, both were delicious the Dosa was perfectly crispy, and the Chilly Paneer had a great spicy kick. Special thanks to Sara, for her warm and attentive service. Highly recommend!
Food is okk ... hygiene js zero... while serving the food as well.. there is seating area near washroom and it stinks. Seating area is not managed properly Unfortunately they were under staff service was slow . Food is also very spicy and not very fresh Food-2 Hygiene -0 Atmosphere-1 Staff need more training
We had a great breakfast this morning. Idli Vada & karam Dosa were delicious. Masala chai didnt disappoint.
Parking: Friendly and prompt service, authentic and tasty food Food
I visited Madras Pepper on the evening of November 9. There was only one staff member, Prabh, managing the entire dining area. She did an excellent job handling customer service, taking orders, and billing. Despite working hard to keep everything running smoothly, it was clear she could use some additional support in managing the dining area. Overall, everything was very good, but an extra staff member would enhance the experience.
Their Biriyani was excellent but their chicken kothu parotta was not really good and had lot of tomatoes and it was not the real taste of madras. Chettinadu paneer and beef fry was excellent Food
Sara was really hospitable and the food was really good
Mysore Masala Dosa is very tasty and sambar is so good it had an authentic Tamil Nadu style taste
Best dosa ever. Tastes so so so gooood.
Madras Pepper is an absolute gem for food lovers! From the moment we walked in, the welcoming ambiance set the tone for an exceptional dining experience. We indulged in both the South Indian and Chinese cuisines, and every dish was a burst of flavors, prepared to perfection. A special shoutout to our server, Prabh, who elevated our experience with her exceptional service. She was polite, kind, and carried a contagious smile throughout the evening. Prabh went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Its rare to find such attentive and warm hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a delightful culinary journey with impeccable service. We ll definitely be back!
Great place for family dining and food was awesome! Mainly parota salna combo tasty briyani and starters also perfect!
Harman was really good , right from the beginning, who suggested the right amount of food with right spice levels. We enjoyed our lunch .
Very clean and spacious place with a selection of great South Indian non-veg and veg food. Service is quick, courteous and friendly. Food is great in taste, portion sizes are a bit small for the price. But overall a good experience. Vegetarian options: Lots of veg options in dosa idli uttapam parota etc. Wheelchair accessibility: Ground floor so easy wheelchair access
I often come here and their service, food everything is Top notch.. Yesterday we had tandoori moms Gobhi 65 and virgin mojito..Great service by sweety girl Sara and another girl .. suggestions given by her were great ..
The egg curry was awesome and good hospitality from Harman.
Good location. Tried Gobi Manchurian with gravy and paneer scheczwan fried noodles. Gobi Manchurian with gravy was tasty and flavors were bursting. Noodles were good but broken (wasnt expecting it to be broken). Spice level for both is super hot. Serving quantity is good and sufficient. The restaurant gets busier as it gets late eve. So long wait can be experienced. Staff is good and helpful.
My wife and I bought the Madras Special Chicken Biriyani , without any doubt I can say this is the best South Indian Biriyani I have had so far in Canada. The smell, texture and the taste was spot on and top notch. I highly recommend trying this place out. We are excited to try other items in the menu.
Great Dosa and great service
The Madras Chicken Sukka Biryani was spicy and tasted great. Taste was authentic as we find it in Tamil Nadu.
Horrible food
Must visit place!
A huge shoutout to Harman, who made our experience a memorable one, as she made sure everything was perfect for us to have an amazing lunch.
Food was very good. Service by Aman was excellent. Dietary restrictions: They are very welcoming about allergy sensitivity. Food : 5/5 |
Hopeless and worst restaurant for vegetarians! Ordered gobi Manchurian and fried rice from here, the oil smell was so bad and the gobi Manchurian was plain try without gravy which I dint ask for! Also the oil smell was so bad that it was yukk. Even one star was not worth giving these idiots.
This small restaurant is staffed with friendly knowledgeable people. What a grand taste adventure! We loved all the dishes we had and appreciated our servers recommendations. The decor is basic and very clean. Affordable and tasty offerings. Definitely would like to return.
The food was good. The ambiance was nice. The customer service was really exceptional. Nice place to hang out.
Very delicious. I like your parotta with Salna. Thank you Dietary restrictions: Many options available here. Food : 5/5 |
The food was decent, but the service was awful.
Great food and service by harman!!! Thankyou so much!!
Just loved the food all the spices were perfectly balanced and talking about the service an employee named harman served us in a very well manner completely worth it Vegetarian options: All
Thanks a lot to server Harman, as she made our visit a pleasant and happening one
Food was excellent, We had ordered Mutton biriyani. It was good and also not very spicy, just perfect. Poori with saalna was excellent. Also , Thanks to Harman for givithe excellent service. Highly recommended place.
Just went there for dinner. Had an amazing food served by an amazing server prabh.
Very good service, the place was pretty busy still the servers made sure every table was attended and they did it with a smile always. Special shoutout to Harman for her excellent service. Food
Fried rice is really good.
We had dine in.. overall it s good. Just a suggestion if Manchurian garlic momos world serve with tandoori momos instead fried!!Moreover, hospitality by Joy is superb
Best breakfast. The only Indian restaurant that is open at 8:30 for breakfast. Ive always wondered, why dont indian restaurant open soon for breakfast.. the food was awesome. And loved it.
The food made me sick for the entire night after dinner. Ordered fish without breading, but it was heavily breaded. Dietary restrictions: I was not able to get what I wanted
Sara and Prabhleen are superstars! Hardworking and always greeting with a genuine smile.
Really good food and amazing service by Sarah and Prabhleen
This place was great!!! The food was amazing and the prices were extremely fair. Harman, our server, was super friendly and welcoming. It was very clear that she genuinely cared about the satisfaction of her customers. When we asked for a to-go box, she made sure to get us a fresh box of Sambar, which was very thoughtful. Overall, I feel very good about our experience and I would 100% recommend!!!
Food was very mediocre. Needed some more flavour. Ordered the momos. Was told that it was freshly made in house but certainly didn t seem to be as it looked like store bought Chinese wontons. Masala chai made from a powder not freshly made. For the price being charged for the dosas., the size of it was really small compared to any other South Indian restaurant. Dosa choices are extremely limited for a South Indian restaurant. Definitely not a place to revisit. The server was nice though. Kinda made up just a tad bit for the mediocre food. $65 for two people. Ordered a masala dosa, mysore masala dosa, Manchurian garlic momos, mango lassi(no sweet lassi available on the menu) and a masala chai (powder :(
Paneer butter masala - please dont order this shit (2/10) Parotta 3pcs - they said that it includes channa but it never came to us in time (1/10) Noodles - different style but something was off (4/10) Honey chilli potato - only recommendation but very expensive (7/10) Masala dosa - okay okay (8/10) Virgin mojito and masala soda- took forever to make drinks? (0/10) I had a really bad experience last night when I went there to dine-in with my family. I was expecting their service to be quick than really very very slow. I tried to cancel my drinks because I was really fed up after waiting for almost 45 minutes just for drinks(lol). The complimentary channa never showed up on our table even after insisting about it several times. Paneer butter masala was too sweet. I had a really great expectation about the restaurant but since last night I am really pissed by their late service. P.S - waiting for so long really annoyed me, idk what took so long to just make some drinks. Vegetarian options: Not worth to try them Parking: No parking anywhere in the area
The Madras Peppers in Mississauga is a gem for South Indian cuisine lovers. The ambiance is cozy and welcoming, making it ideal for family dinners. The dosas are standout, crispy and flavorful, complemented by unlimited free chutney, sambar and channa masala for poori and parotta with attentive service and reasonable prices, its a great spot for a satisfying meal. Highly recommended.
Absolutely empty but the service people wouldnt offer bigger table when asked. I don t care about the food when the service and rating is this poor . Not recommended for family
Incredible South Indian food! Everything we had was delicious.
Exceptionally friendly staff, flavorful food, and a nice atmosphere. Authentic South Indian cuisine. Highly recommend!
Great service by joy we really loved their dosas
We are here for the second time, Joy served the food last time and this time too. She is very welcoming and hard working. I loved her nature. Food
Food was great. Especially kari dosa and madras style chicken briyani were execellent.
food here is really good specially ghee podium idling and parotta wrap
Happy with the service by Sara and the tasty dishes .
I had special chicken biriyani, but it s not up to the mark. By seeing others reviews I thought it would be good. Apparently it s not that worth for the amount we paid. One single takeout biriyani for 21$ is not sufficient for me, also the rice is not that good. Overall it s not a suggestion for biriyani eater. Not going to have again!
Awesome place, tried koli rasam as stater which is best. Sara s and joy s service was outstanding managed crowd very well Vegetarian options: More options on veg
The place and food was awesome. The only issue was to find the restaurants parking, which we need to go all the way to the building other side to find the underground parking.
Great food loved the Indian food offerings. Harmon was a really good server. Great ambience
Food tasted good. Sukka biriyani was delicious.. service was also good.
Sara was awesome. She gave great suggestions and provided top-notch service. The food was also excellent and priced reasonably.
Food is amazing and so is the service. Sara was out of the world more people like her will make a world of good Food
Place was very neat and clean service is very nice specially the staff name aman she is very excellent Parking facility is available too good enjoyed my lunch i would recommend this place Food
Horrible service. Took 45 minutes to deliver and then came with only half the order. The other person had to wait till one was having his mean. No delivery of spoons, tissue. If you request something, they are least bothered to come back and give. PATHETIC!!
I got a chicken 65 biryani; it had 4 small pieces of chicken and it cost me 20 bucks! An egg curry for $17 . Exploitative even by Indian standards! Food
This was our first time here, and we loved everything that we ordered. Tried their tandoori momo, ghee podi dosa, egg dosa, idli with sambar and their chicken biryani. The customer service by Sara was great. Will definitely visit again.
Kid-friendliness: All the staff were nice. Especially the waitress Sara. Food
It was delightful experience to have lunch at madras peppers. The service by aman and another girl was so good too. I had like home food after a year. It will be in my lifetime memories. Thanks.
Good taste of food and satisfied with quality of the items. Tried about 5 different items and all of them are tasty. Definitely a must go place
We just moved to Mississauga and had a first experience to visit this place with 2 of my friends... We ordered idli, sambhar, masala and maysoor dosa. I really like the taste, hospitality and the best thing is they refill the sambhar free and it was an authentic south Indian taste.
I had to wait over 45 minutes for my take out order. Food was below average and overly spicy. I was not even asked for the spice level. This was my first and last time of ordering food from this place.
Food was nice and service was good.. Harman severed the food on time and her service was excellent
Ordered chicken kothu parotta and chicken briyani for take out. Loved both. Kothu parotta was surprisingly not dry like in any other places. It was soaked well with the gravy and was tasty. Chicken briyani tasted just like back home. Had to mention their salna accompaniment. What a delight it was to smell and taste the authentic parotta salna that we get back home . The salna came in a good portion too. Only con was i felt the mains quantity a tad bit less. Otherwise, Great job team for bringing the authenticity of Tamilnadu to Canada.
Really good food must try chinese here and the staff is amazing as well jot served us on the spot and was amazing with her service loved it! Vegetarian options: Must explore
I recently visited Madras Pepper and was thoroughly impressed. The food was outstanding flavorful and well-prepared. Equally notable was the excellent service, with attentive and friendly staff. Highly recommend!
Great food authentic taste and good service by sara
Good south Indian style food.
Harman did an amazing job. She s a star.
Great place .. wonderful service by harman
Pros : Food is really good. The perfect blend of Masalas and flavors in all the items we ordered. Loved their Schezwan baby corn, Chicken Kothu Idli, Chilly Porotta. All were really good. And quantity is great too. Cons: they could improve the cleanliness. The plates and glasses were not clean and we had to ask them to replace it. Even then, it wasnt fully clean. The glasses had watermarks, and the waitress told us that it had those bcz it was directly coming out of the dishwasher. Feel like they should improve that part.
best food ! and amazing service by Harman kaur with warm and welcoming smile !
The service was down right horrible. The food was mid at best. Just go around the corner to Udupi Madras cafe and save yourself the time energy and money.
We had wonderful experience. We ordered chilly parotta, dosa, Lamb Biriyani and butter milk. Food was tasty and portion was well enough. Worth for money. Good service. You must try once.
Great and honoring service by Prableen at the table. Amazing food! Food
Food was great. Excellent service from Harman.
I ordered Mutton Kari dosa, Chicken 65 and Chicken Noodles and the taste was on point. The quality and quantity of the food was excellent. Mutton Dosa- The mutton stuffing is so flavourful and the Salna is too good. The two chutneys were fresh and delicious! Chicken noodles- Lots of veggies and chicken pieces. Perfect spice level and the noodles texture was on point. Chicken 65- Pieces are soft and crispy at the same time. Not greasy and soggy. Overall highly recommend this place and after a long time got the feel of eating in Chennai!! Kudos Madras Peppers !
Food was really great . Specially mashroom manchurian and parotta. It was the best dish i ever eat. And also really good customer service.
Very authentic food and excellent service.. would highly recommend
I ordered chicken Kottu paratha. Quantity is really good. Taste is okay.
Very tasty food and reasonable price. Very friendly staff. Plenty of places to sit and environment is nice. Set dosa is super nice. We had different soups and all were good. Special mention about the parata, really good
Very nice food, reminded me of Bangalore. We ordered masala dosa and Madras Chicken Biryani. Staffs are very friendly. Sara and her team made us feel welcome. Thank you!
My personal fav parrotta and chettinad chicken curry
The food is a bit expensive for the quantity. I know similar restaurants in the area that have better, cheaper food with good proportions.
Authentic cuisine and amazing service
The food was delicious and the service was also grea
Had noodles and Manchurian. Taste was very nice.
Food was amazing! And service by Prabhleen was exceptional! Definitely recommend the chilli paneer parotha
I felt real chennai taste with chicken briyani and fried rice . Good South Indian restaurant
This restaurant was excellent! We ordered Porotta, Chettinad chicken and masala prawns. The ambience was great and the food as well, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. The service provided by Sara was top-notch. She took the time to explain everything on the menu, which was really helpful for a first time family visitors.
This place was recommended by one of my friend and the food was damn good. Also Harman was so courteous and sweet serving us!
Our server Harman was very polite and served us really well.
Very tasty food.
We had some delicious Tamil Nadu-style dishes, prepared in the Chennai style. The sambar, in particular, tasted just like the one from Chennai Saravana Bhavan. Both the vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes were so good! Vegetarian options: Dosa, Momo and so many
The girl name prabh is so sweet and humble. The way she gives services is so nice ! :)
Customer service was amazing, prabh was very helping and friendly. I really liked the quality of food as well
i really like the food and customer service prabh was very friendly and amazing i really like her.she treated her so well
Ordered chicken kothu parotta for take out yesterday but struggled to find chicken in it....disappointed.
The food was delicious and the service was up to standard. The chicken Rasam was excellent. We were welcome and served by Sara and she was excellent and gave us the best options when we had doubts about what to choose. For sure will come back again
Sara was a very pleasant and excellent waitress who helped us with our order. Such a pleasure to deal with. Overall the food was good. The kozhi rasam, the sambar were awesome. Just some minor recommendations...the calamari could be more authentic rather than the breaded version. The pepper chicken dosa can be replaced with kheema dosa. It would be a better choice.
We got vegetarian food Vegetarian options: Food was fast Kid-friendliness: Good
Amazing food if you like south indian
I dont find 0 star to give for service . If anyone wants to spoil the evening go to this place. After getting table had to wait for 30 mnts to place the order. Food came but no plates. Half food was over and no napkins on table. After asking napkins, had to wait for 5 mnts to get napkins. Mashala dosa with very little mashala, asked for extra mashala, never came. Usually across GTA Veg manchurian always come with rice, but only manchurian came. I asked to take order for rice, waitress said she will be right back to take the order and never came back. I had to come back hungry after paying the bill. Worst experience of my life..!!! Vegetarian options: Mashala Dosa has very little mashala Veg manchurian with no rice Worst service ever experienced. Seems owner is not taking his business seriously and not sure how he got so much rating.
Must visit! The whole experience; right from the ambience to the hospitality of the staff, it all has a welcoming feeling. To top that, the food served here is so comforting and good, it reminds me of home. I absolutely recommend the Nellai Lamb curry with some ghee rice or parothas. Believe me, you will want to come for more. Definitely worth visiting again.
1. We weren t attended by anyone by any server for at least 25 minutes. 2. Harman(The Manager) finally came to us and said I ll be with in a moment and said we can order after 15-20 minutes as it is busy. For which we said we already waited and still you ask us to wait and she replied as it is a busy night (Wednesday night) and we have important group we have to attend them before you. Since when one guest became more important to different in a restaurant???? 3. We mentioned this is very rude the way you are talking and behaving and we will like to talk to manager or owner- she said owner is not here and she is the manager so if you want to say anything you have to tell me. And for her rude behaviour she said its been a busy day ( which doesn t gives any right to behave rudely to anyone for the fact specially someone who is visiting for the fist time in your restaurant and you are showing this kind of gesture). 4. We gave our order and as usual it came after an era. 5. Food was really good. It was served by Sara and Harman (server not manager). They were continuously asking us if we need anything or food was as it was asked or not, after which i was relieved that service is not worst here. Food was 10/10. Overall i will suggest to order a takeout instead of having food over there.
Amazing food, a must try
The food didnt feel authentically South Indian. The idly was hard, and the dosa lacked flavor. When I ordered a filter coffee, they gave an instant coffee and was served in less than a minute. Very disappointing.
Tasty food with ambience. Service is good.
Ambience is good, the service really great, especially joy & joth service is great.....will be recommending this place to my place l......
Food was so good and jot was doing a good job for customer service
If you want authentic Chennai style food, this is the place to go. The relocation and interiors are great. Staff are extremely friendly. We had the Biriyani, Chicken 65 and Gobi 65 - it was like we were transported to the south of India. Slightly expensive, would prefer they had more competitive prices, that s the only downside and what could prevent the average customer from returning very often.
Reply to the owner: No, not all of your orders were served to guests. I am not hawking over every table in your restaurant, only the ones that were close to me since everyone was sat around us within a 10 minute difference. The table next to us also had the exact same issue and was waiting 25+ minutes for his one dosa order. He also mentioned the same thing to us as we were getting up to leave, he didnt mind waiting more but we certainly did. Youre more than welcome to check your cameras to verify my claims. Again, have your servers actually check up on tables that they are meant to be serving and this would have never happened and SHOULD never happen to any paying customer. Original review below. ------------------ ------ So I am absolutely disappointed to have to leave a negative review for something that should have just never happened. We arrived on the 5th of August at 8:15 PM, we were quickly sat down within a few minutes by one of the servers. She was kind and polite, the restaurant was busy so it took them another 10 minutes to take our order at 8:25 PM. This is my second visit at the restaurant, the first one was very similar with a 20 minute wait but we gave it another shot after a month hoping things have improved. A different server had taken our order and once our order was taken, there was no follow up whatsoever by that server at all. Not once. The table next to us whos order was taken AFTER us had 4+ dishes arrive, meanwhile our single Masala Dosa order is no where to be found. One of the servers brought a wrong/different order to the table next to us to which we chuckled thinking it was meant to be ours, when asked about it that was actually not even the order meant for us. We eventually got up to leave at 8:58 PM because a 45 minute wait for one dosa is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. More so, the initial server who took our order should really just consider following up with their tables to see if theyve even had their food served. Absolutely appalling behavior that left my mother upset. I am truly sorry for the server who had initially sat us down because she had to hear some harsh criticism from my mother which really was meant for the server who took our order. After listening to us for a minute she did try to check up on our order and asked us to give them another chance but sorry after 40 minutes of wasting our time and completely killing our mood, we werent going to wait around further. How a single order is this delayed vs massive orders for tables seated after us kept coming is just insane to me. I really feel bad for the server who sat us down because you could genuinely see how upset she was with this situation. Management here really needs take accountability and address these issues, after reading reviews I am not the only one who faced these issues with this location. Saying were going to make sure it never happens again in multiple reviews doesnt help when this issue is still existing. Its really a shame because we wanted to try it together as we are residents in the same building and now we for sure know to just go on the other side to Udupi Madras Cafe where the only long term wait may be for seating due to a full restaurant but the food comes after 10 minutes of placing your order. The first time we visited this location, we had a similar experience on a weekday to wait 30 minutes for food when it wasnt even busy, I figured that was a one off so I brought my mom along thinking that was maybe when they first opened but I think this will definitely be the first and last for us. Please value your clients time and address these issues so your future clients might not have their time wasted like us.
A five-star restaurant for South Indian cuisine enthusiasts. Its a must-try spot. We tried mutton chukka biryani and chicken kothu parotta both were excellent. The service was warm and attentive, with staff serving with a friendly smile.
Food quality is not good and the price is very high. Not worth for the money.
Very poor service. The attended was very careless about the table they don t even bother about orders even after we press the table bell. Also the madras Biriyani was not a Biriyani it should have been Dum ,rather they mixed the gravy with rice, which is not Madras or Chennai style Biriyani. But it s a North Indian biriyani. I recommend they should change Madras Biriyani to Normal biriyani so we will not be disappointed.
Extraordinary service, really good food, beautiful patio. 10/10 service by two girls with pretty smiles. Very welcoming and helpful staff.
Love idly, sambhar and nonveg saag. Not a fan of dosa- not crispy enough, biriyani taste like pulao and aaloo stuffing is thin and too smooth for me.
We took 3-4 times Madras Special Chicken Biriyani, it s awesome. Whenever we need biriyani, we know where to go.
We have had their chicken kothu parota, parota with chicken salna, Nellai chicken curry, red chilli chicken and green chilli chicken. Everything has been amazing except ted chilli chicken, maybe its because we are not a fan of it since the start. Talking about the staff, I placed an order on phone for a pickup to Jot. I specifically asked the staff if their chilli chicken was red or green since we dont really like red. The staff said, there is both but andra chilli chicken is green. I made sure she knows am placing the order on green chilli chicken, but she ended up packing red chilli chicken. Then we called her up regarding the same and she started arguing saying she had confirmed and stuff. I think they are a bit careless when it comes to orders. But for me all that mattered was food. So yeah, do try but be careful about what you order and what you get.
Yesterday I ordered Masala Dosa and its full of oil and tastes sour. The sambar and chutneys taste was not good. Really bad experience.
Dear Management, I would like to provide feedback which we had recent experience with your restaurant take out, actually we disappointed with order we placed since nowadays tastes are not keeping same as before. Yesterday (14, august 2024) we ordered parota Salna, Chicken fried rice and Hot&sour chicken soup($40.63- Takeout around 9pm). With respect to Soup is good. But chicken rice was tasted badly as it was like not fresh, In addition to this Salna quantity is very much less for parota and taste also not as good as provided earlier. There is no sufficient quantity as well. We appreciate if you consider my suggestion. Thank you.
One of the best south indian restaurant near square one. Most of the dishes are with authentic taste and good quantity Their parotta combo and Chinese cuisine is really good I would recommend this place Food
Good food and service. The vegetarian options could be better. Food
To be honest, poor service. They have very few people to help around, to take orders and serve. Next, the quantity is really less. For $18 you get 7 small tiny pieces of pepper fish. The biriyani was like coloured brown rice with no flavours. Disappoint maxxx!!!
Food was good but not that much that it can cover other flaws customer service is really bad. We waited for 20 min on the table to give the order then i went to the front station to give the order...1st item came after waiting for 20min...with no tissue no cutlery. Cutlery came after 10min of food Item 2 came after 15min and again no cutlery no tissues. And then by gods grace 3rd food item came after 10 more minutes and without cutlery and tissues. We asked for extra chutney and waited for 10min then went to front station again to remind them. Honestly still have more story to tell but i would end it here today Good luck guyS Okk lets edit it add more...i ordered 4th item and guess what they never added it to order and we got to know when i went to front station again
I recently visited Madras Peppers Restaurant, and unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. Firstly, the service was incredibly slow. Despite the restaurant not being particularly busy, we had to wait an unreasonable amount of time for our food. When it finally arrived, the food was lukewarm and lacked the authentic flavors I was expecting from a place that touts itself as a South Indian cuisine specialist. The staff seemed indifferent and inattentive as they were seemingly understaffed, which added to the disappointment. Our requests for basic items like water and extra napkins were ignored or took a long time to be fulfilled. The ambiance also left much to be desired, with the decor looking outdated and the overall cleanliness of the restaurant being questionable. Moreover, the food was not fresh and the chicken was stale and dry.(chicken 65) Overall, my visit to Madras Pepper was a letdown, and I would not recommend this restaurant to others seeking a quality dining experience.
This was my favourite restaurant a year back for seeraga samba biryani but these days they lost their flavour.
Pure taste
This restaurant was a great experience. Our waitress, Joy, was friendly and the service was great! I ll definitely visit again.
The ghee podi dosa took me right back to India. The sambhar was over in minutes! The staff was the absolute sweetest. I will come back here soon A very humble dinner. Vegetarian options: Many veg options for dosa as well.
I had an extremely disappointing experience at Madras peppers. After traveling 4 hours specifically to dine here, we waited for our main course for over 1.5 hours. Despite enquiring multiple times, we received no satisfactory response or updates. The restaurant was clearly understaffed, with only 3 front house staff members attending to nearly 60 diners on a busy day. This led to poor service and communication. Ultimately, we left the restaurant without even getting our meal. This level of service is unacceptable, and I would not recommend this place to anyone.
One of the best restaurants ever visited in Mississauga.
Vegetarian options: Overall nice place to visit Food
Costly compared to food taste.
