Long-standing institution with romantic lighting, opulent decor & a vast list of global wines.
The service is spectacular. Seafood appetizers are delicious. We were a group of four people. We all had an amazing experience at this place. Omg their dessert creme brûlée was a hit with a beautiful cappuccino. I would for sure go back and would definitely recommend to everyone.
The NY steak was cooked perfectly but the meat wasn't as tender as I expected. Meat quality could've been better. Service was great, staff is friendly and there's plenty of parking.
Best restaurant I've ever been too in my life! Great food, excellent service and ambience!!!!! I will definitely be coming back! I gave the highest tip I've ever given at a restaurant and have no regrets. It made my mom's birthday exteremly special. Thank you team!!! 🙌🏽💕
The atmosphere and service was amazing! It feels like you're dining in an old castle My husband and I really appreciated that most of the wait staff was older gentlemen rather than younger servers - they really paid attention to all the details and actually cared about the patrons dining there Food was good, but I've had better Large portions! I'd definitely go back for the service and vibe.
Zorro's Steakhouse offers a sophisticated, old-world ambiance with high-quality food. It attracts an older clientele, likely due to its upscale pricing. Despite the servers' potential judgment based on appearances, they remain accommodating, even during busy times. The menu is detailed, and each meal includes appetizers, making it a good value. it’s a must-try for a fine dining experience.
We have been going to this restaurant for over 25 years . I can honestly say one of our favourite dining places ! Service as always amazing , food always delicious Steak always cooked to perfection we can never find a fault ! Service the best we are always grateful for that ! Thank you for always making our dining special when we go there !
Good restaurant! It was not outstanding but also did not disappoint. I missed out on trying the house specialty steak but the dishes were tasty nonetheless. I adore the cozy atmosphere and it felt very homey. The service was okay, nothing in particular spiked my interest. A great place to try out but definitely get a fan favourite dish!
The prime rib was excellent. I ordered the Zorro's cut and didn't regret it. Unfortunately that's the only thing worth remembering. The fries, side salad and bread were similar to what you would get at a cafeteria. I ordered an old fashioned (pretty simple cocktail) which was horrible and tasted like water and maraschino. The snails were soaked in oil that did not taste like butter. The new york strip steak was mediocre as well as the boiled vegetables. The reviews were great so I decided to try it with my family. Its located in a ghetto plaza with abandoned stores and warehouses. If it wasn't for the good reviews on google I would never have come here and athough the prime rib was amazing I probably wont be coming back.
As always everything was top notch!!
Been here a few times for dinner. Always a pleasant experience. Great atmosphere and amazing service. The food is always cooked to perfection!
My steak was cooked perfectly, unfortunately you can tell the quality of the steak was the same as what I can get at metro. If I pay 70 bux plus on a steak, the texture of the mean should not be grainy. The waiters did not even pour my beer in the glass, there should be a level of service attributed to the cost of the meal. this level was not met. Disappointing considering the reviews.
Elegant, Old World Atmosphere! Staff are Top Star! Service Immaculate! Food dishes are Huge! And might I add, Extremely Delicious!!! Absolutely one of my favorite restaurants when I want to Indulge or celebrate with friends & coworkers! High Class!
The food and service was excellent
Fantastic food and service.
Always nice to have a meal here. Good fish options for those who prefer to not have a steak. Always a great service.
Hidden gem
Old age charm combined with delicious food. Every single thing we ate was delicious. Bring your appetite!
John & his staff are amazing! The food is unbelievable we love their Zorro s Steakhouse seafood platter! Highly recommend this fine restaurant!
Fantastic! First time dining here. Many tables. Extensive menu. Great service. Amazing food. Very generous for both food and drink. Definitely recommend
Fantastic ambiance, top service and excellent food!
Zorros is a cut above While pricy, it is worth every penny. They have maintained an excellent level of service for the 10 years I have been going there Food : 5/5
Its a older steak house but the staff are always great and the food. The vibe is very chilled.
We love Zorros and the old school type steak house that it is. Not many left in the city.
Great service, food portions large, worth the visit.
Perfect food, great customer service and amazing interior which takes you back in history. 10/10!
The food is amazing. One of the best steak houses in Toronto area
The best steakhouse I have ever been to hands down
Amazing food, best prime rib around. Service is traditional and exquisite, ambience is traditional and cozy, could use some updating.
Top notch
Great fine dining. Attending this restaurant for 20yrs
Food and service is great.
Hands down our favourite restaurant! Incredible food, service and atmosphere always. And we re treated like family each and every time we visit. A staple in Mississauga.
Great place!
A romantic atmosphere, great attentive service, delicious food, and a beautiful night out! I almost got full off of the garlic bread... very tasty
# 1 in my international list
Fine dinning !!! Good Place !!!
A total mess of a dinner experience for long standing customers who will NEVER return. After finding my NY steak was cooked to medium (blackened and tough), not medium-rare as ordered, the owner directed his staff to get me a new one after the waiter had told me my steak was fine and walked away. So I got to eat potato while my husband ate his dinner (which was underdone to his order, but he opted to eat it) . We think they mixed up the cook orders. My second steak came out and the first bite seemed fine ... the edge was med. rare, but then the rest was rare, black and blue. Another waiter came by and saw it; I did not ask him to come or ask for anything. He saw and commented that my meat was undercooked, and suggested he take it back. I said the whole thing is a mess, but said OK. So again I was without my meal. There was no apology nor consideration offered for the ruined dinner experience whatsoever. When politely reviewing the matter with the owner/manager John, he arrogantly, almost rudely stated that I sent my food back twice and they fixed it. That was that. I wasnt going to restate all the above that it was he and his staff that sent my food back. His mind was set. At least the waiter could see what a disaster the food was and opted to have it cooked more. Did you know that after a customer eats part of their steak, that they put it back on the grill where they cook your food??? John apparently prefers the bottom line...we had to pay full price for the whole mess. Bye.
The only place I order prime rib. Zorros cut and your set. Or steak and lobster always good. Make the trip for a great night.
The service is professional and efficient. Orders taken quickly and no excessive time taken for the order to be served. Finished a basket of butter soaked goodness. garlic bread. Everyone enjoyed their steaks amd me my prime rib. Horseradish use it sparingly it will more thna clear your nostrils. The Caesar salad was tasty with a diffrent tasting dressing but the romain was wet. I ordered asparagus with hollindase ntphingn too exciting. Decor is traditional stekhouse with low lighting levels Desserts are large and tasty; Cheese cake and creme brulee Would go back in a flash.
For your top tier fine dining, excellent seafood & steak with superior service by family owned restaurant. A must try.
Great times at an authentic 70s steakhouse. Tableside ceasar salad was dynamite, and the luncheon Rib Steak was perfect.
I have dined here for 30 years plus. Always excellent food and service.
Old time steak house. I like that it never changes. Old reliable.
Always excellent!
Unbelievable experience from start to finish. Food was incredible and amazing hospitality! John is a Legend!
Love the old school feel, amazing servers, spectacular food, fantastic!!
Higher end steakhouse with professional waiters. A little pricey bought well worth the great food.
Excellent steak house
5 star classy restaurant! Food was out of this world, Staff was friendly and very receptive. now I know why this place has been operational for so long! They know how to run a first class restaurant with great food and service. Was well worth the time and money !!
Best
This place never fails to impress. Weve been going here for years and its always consistent. The prime rib here blows any prime rib away in the city. And to all the cry babies in these reviews leaving 1 star reviews because of the waiters. You come here for the food, this isnt some English school where youre communicating with the waiters all day. Enjoy the food and atmosphere.
Little bit too dark inside the restaurant, food was good.
Came here for the Zorros cut prime rib - always excellent. The onion rings were an unassumingly solid side as well.
Underrated. Fantastic and attentive service, great portions, Phenominal flavor
great place to go for a nice dinner food is always amazing never disapointed Parking: big parking lot next to a restrant lots of spaces Food : 5/5 |
The moment we were seated, we already were put off by our server. He seemed very pushy with the drinks, and I think his recommendations were disingenuous, like he only wanted us to spend more money instead of helping us pick something we were actually craving for. Likely influenced by this first impression, we thought the food was only decent. My steak came out cold, and the salad was lacking (just lettuce and dressing) and the lettuce wasn t fresh. We felt fortunate that we decided to skip the other courses because all key components of the experience were sadly missed. Overall, the service was not friendly. It s just a bougie place that did not deliver on anything. Not likely coming back and not likely recommending.
It was like a blast from the past. The lighting, stained glass doors, and old school waiters. Felt like I had gone back to the 80s. The food and service were good. You really could feel the history and tradition. Reminded me a lot of the Octagon Restaurant. The NY steak was good. The side dishes were okay, salad and a baked potato. Had some veggies as well.
My family and I went to this restaurant not realizing what we were getting ourselves into..I ended up eating the best prime rib I ve ever had, the service was attentive as well. Great atmosphere too! I highly recommend!
Incredible experience, walked into restaurant with my son my daughter in law and 3 yr old granddaughter.. Dressed in shorts sandals etc, welcomed just the same as if we were in formal wear . Son and I had Zorros prime rib approx 30 oz of pure delite, daughter in law had scallops and steak (many fresh scallops to share) and granddaughter enjoyed the jumbo shrimp. Best prime rib ever..thank you for the great dinner and hospitality..I live in Nova Scotia otherwise Id be back next month. Thanks again
Great service, great food, every time I ve been there
Everything about the service is professional. The waiters are attentive, the appetizer tray of pickles is so delicious, and most recently my main was perfectly cooked with wonderful flavour. Zorro s is consistently wonderful, each visit we enjoy the atmosphere, waiters and food.
Nice place. Good food quality. Waiters are rushing you. I dont know what is the reason. I thought they might close.but they still have one hour more to close.
Waiter older gentleman. No personality.. cold not even a smile or a hello.. same with water and bread man.. drink man tall bald got my drink wrong purely because they didnt listen.. then when i asked to have it fixed. I was dismissed.. Fisrt off Salad just plain lettuce with dressing.. why?? This is a high end restaurant... then forgot side dish for my husbands meal. Would have told them except they never came back to our table to ask how our meal was.. escargot. 2 tasted off.. lobster was fantastic... my filet was dry until absolute middle.. just over done. .. steak sauce may have helped however couldnt flag down a server to even ask.. ended up dipping steak in butter to get it down.. garlic bread kinda dry very unusual any frequent patrons would know what I mean.. as last time I was there it was amazing almost the highlight.. not sure I would go back. So disappointed..Dropped over $300. Could have gone to the keg. Twice.. sad. I was so looking forward to going back. Was a special night so didnt want to raise a stink.. but failed in service, and food.. They need to step up their game. Was busy initially but didnt see a second wave come in.. so.. not good. Maybe others have had the same experience recently.. next time maybe Le Castile Father in law regular.. shocked.. Noone responded. ...3 decades.. a year later no response.. Family birthdays... anniversaries.. and no response.... guess they dont care
Absolutely Perfect!
Zorros SteakHouse near the Pearson Airport is an absolute gem and never fails to impress. This restaurant has become my favorite place to dine whenever I visit Toronto, and I am always willing to go out of my way to make a stop here. The staff at Zorros is nothing short of fantastic - they are attentive, friendly, and go above and beyond to ensure that every patron has an exceptional dining experience. The ambiance at Zorros is classy and timeless, with a retro vibe that pays homage to the original decor of the institution that has been serving up delicious meals since 1975. Walking into Zorros feels like stepping back in time, in the best way possible. And lets talk about the food - the steak at Zorros is truly out of this world. Cooked to perfection every time, it is juicy, flavorful, and simply melts in your mouth. And dont even get me started on the pickles, olives, and garlic bread that are served as appetizers - they are absolutely divine. In conclusion, Zorros SteakHouse near the Pearson Airport is a must-visit for anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience. The combination of amazing food, exceptional service, and a nostalgic atmosphere make this restaurant a true standout in the Toronto dining scene. Parking: Parking is free, easy and convenient!
The food was delicious. The server was professional. The service was obsolute top-notch from the start.
Massive portions, best to share entries with others if possible.
Ribsteak was perfect. Shrimp cocktail is huge. Service was great. Nuff said.
From the moment we walked in the door, we felt like family. Servers super attentive & helpful, the food was amazing and portion size was large, guaranteed nobody will leave hungry. I wish we lived closer so we could return, it was definitely the best meal we have had at a restaurant in a long time. Recommend to anyone who wants a great steak or any of the other great plates they have.
This place is old school and not many of them are left unfortunately. The prime rib is one of the best I ve ever had and I ve been to many top end steakhouses all over the world. Service is excellent and the decor is old school. Not your modern steakhouse for IG posting, but the food is what matters.
Had Dinner with Customer And I can say this is one of the best stakehouse Ive visit in US and for sure the best in Toronto area ... Stake are well cooked and tasty Also the seafood are awesome . Portion are really big . We could not taste the dessert because too much food .. But they looks like fantastic
The best steak house hands down
Took my family here to celebrate Fathers Day. Right off the bat very rude waiters, not welcoming. My wifes glass of water had a bug in it. We tell the waiter and he doesnt apologize and just takes the cup off the table. Another waiter comes and is basically yelling at us if we are ready to order now what do we want. My sister comes, her glass is filthy, she orders a tea and the tea cup is covered in lipstick. We tell the waiters, they dont even act surprised, they dony apologize they dont care!!!!! After all that I just asked for the bill so I could pay for one San pelligrino and a coke which they dont even cover even though half the water was wasted used in a bug contaminated glass! 13 dollars for a watered down Pepsi and half a sparkling water. We just left and went to the Keg. The Keg at Bramalea i highly recommend. A truly disgusting experience at Zorros, rude miserable waiters and dirty dishes. I can only imagine the kitchen!!!! SHAME!!!!! Zorros fire your waiters, they are a miserable disgusting bunch. And clean your dishes!!!!!!
Step back in time and feel evocative - the way things used to be. The interior of this place has coloured (stained) glass, wall sconces, and a layout that takes you back to the days of knighthood. The food and service are great too, but go hungry. Otherwise, you wont be able to finish your meal.
I had eaten in house at this mississauga location before. I decided to swing by to get 2 steak sandwiches as take out. I inquired about dressing on the salad that comes with it and was told it was Caesar. Would have been nice to get the 2 salads with thevorder. Did not notice there was none until I got home. Also I was only asked about how steak was to be done....nothing about any toppings to add. Extremely disappointing. Will not return!
This is dining. What you have been doing up until you have enjoyed this place has just been an imitation.
Really good food
A Greek steakhouse, what more could you ask for?! The staff are absolutely amazing! Every time I eat here I try a new steak. And every time I love it more and more. This is definitely a five star experience and would recommend anyone to eat here.
The best surf and turf joint in Mississauga/Brampton. Their portions are huge and the service is wonderful.
Amazing atmosphere and wonderful food. Service is excellent. Highly recommend.
While the food was incredible and the restaurant was beautiful, the service was seriously lacking. Came to the table a d asked about sparkling or still water, then disnt bring it for 15 mins. Asked about a drink menu of sorts and had no recommendations or interest.... literally scoffed at us and our party almost every time they were at our table. Nit personable at all or engaging. Not interested and could care less to act so. We felt like intruders into a private club. I ordered a meal over 200$. Just myself alone. When I couldnt finish they picked up my plate and put other dishes on top of it...I had to say excuse me Id like to take that home please?!?! Again got scoffed at and attitude. I guess we are nit the sort you would like attending. We were celebrating 2 birthdays, myself and my husband. We decided instead of gifts to splurge on a nice meal. While the food, again, was fantastic, I would not return to be treated like that again by the wait staff. Ill also mention how wonderful the other customers were to all join together and sing happy birthday as we were paying. But every person I interacted with, even to ask about where the washroom was located couldnt be bothered to speak to me, just point and grunt.
The atmosphere was marvelous. The staff were top notch. The portions were large and food was high quality and delicious. I would come back again.
The peppercorn steak and smoked salmon appetizer was excellent. Bring your appetite the steaks are huge.
Old school .. exactly how you would expect!
Great lunch as always.
All round pleasant experience with their prime rib. Cant speak for the other menu items though, since I only come for the prime rib. (Which is pretty good)
One of the beat steak i ever eat! A must go! Food
Todqy was my son birthday and we decided to try Zorros since their reviews were so high. It was such a disappointment. For appetizers we order the Cesar salad which the menu listed as freshly made insinuating table side as the price is per person which is so deceiving as they do NOT do this they mix it at a side area and bring it to you. It tasted very bland and the cheese seemed like Kraft Parmesan cheese. The garlic shrimp and the garlic bread appetizer were so so. For our mains we ordered the fillet mignon, rib eye, beef Souvlaki, prime rib and although all the beef is cooked on a charcoal bbq there were not flavourful at all. Considering their name is Zorro Steakhouse, it was so disappointing that their meats had NO flavour. The most flavourful part of my meal was the carrots. If you are looking for a good tasty meat dish this isn t the place. :(. Save your money and go else where
The food is absolutely amazing! Melt in your mouth! Never disappointed and they make you feel at home! Service is absolutely top notch! Vegetarian options: They will accommodate anything for you!
Still a classic.
The Institution of the Airport area. The service is first class. The food here is amazing and cooked to perfection. Great lunch menu and first class dinner. Love coming here.
Went to Zorros with a buddy, chicken and steak are unreal. Classic service, very attentive and polite.
Steak was fantastic! Service was impeccable. And the pricing is very reasonable considering the portion sizes.
Elegant, discreet and welcoming place with excellent quality food. Competent and helpful staff. Impeccable service. Sauces freshly prepared at the table, delicious meats with exemplary preparations. The espresso coffee is to be applauded Parking: Uncovered parking adjacent to the venue in a dedicated area Wheelchair accessibility: It is wheelchair accessible
Came to Zorro for a birthday. It was a nice restaurant. Our water was a little rush rush which was a little off putting. Good portions were fantastic and quite good. I order the sea food linguine and it did not disappoint. Higher end on the pricing just a heads up.
Great food and atmosphere. John, keep up the good work. ork. Food
I had the absolute most horrible experience here. The servers don t even greet you not even a hello was said. I got the oysters and the oysters didn t look right so I kindly asked to get it taken away and the server (tall white older man) stared at me and walked away with it, didn t even say anything at all. The manager Took us for a joke too because we weren t id say dressed up to par . I have never had this type or experience at any restaurant and I go to higher end restaurants in sweats and get way better treatment. The atmosphere was so old and it smelt musty. The steak was good and the lobster was gummy. I will never come back to this restaurant! Horrible horrible service
Been going to Zorros for any occasions for over 30yrs always enjoy our visit GREAT PLACE TO GO
Lunch service was good not great but no disappointment except the food was average honestly this Iconic Steakhouse just seemed to be very tired in its service and food quality. So it makes a visit here for lunch below average. Food was average
First time goer. The ambiance is great. The service was awesome. The food was amazing. Definitely going here again.
We always go here for any special outings. We always feel welcomed. The food is amazing and huge portions. The service is outstanding. We simply love Zorro s
Never heard of this place until my buddy suggested coming here for dinner. Let me start by saying that the service here was very rushed. I dont appreciate the servers rushing us and quickly coming to remove our plates when we are still eating apps Shrimp cocktail and crab was very good Escargot was just whatever in the shell Ribeye and filet mignon were burnt and bland. Definitely not seasoned and zero beefy taste. The only thing that was good was the prime rib. Slow roast to perfection, super soft and tender Overall 3/10
(Jan 2024) The prices may be shocking at first, but the portions and the quality of the food quickly make it clear that you are getting your moneys worth ! Please dont get sticker shock - this restaurant was worth it !
Amazing steakhouse!! Highly recommended
The steaks at Zorros are good, but the rest was awful: watery salad, undercooked, cold vegetables, and a Bernaise sauce that was literally a bowl of cold cornstarch gloop. We asked for it to be heated, but it was no better luke warm. When we asked that waiter (George) about it, we just got a smart-alecky remark. We do not recommend this place. There are better steakhouse nearby that do good sides in addition to a decent steak and dont cost nearly as much.
Came for valentines day dinner. Had a great time here. Theres none of the over pretentious food, service or atmosphere. Just getting the basics done right. Generous portions, great food, decent service. Good value for money overall. We ordered their signature zorros prime rib. It was a gigantic piece of steak and very good. Highly recommend. We also ordered the scallops, escargot, shrimp cocktail (good, big meaty shrimps!), cherry cheese cake, and coconut pie. Everything was done well. If I have to critique, the sides (rice with vegetables) were way too buttery for my liking. Service could be a bit more refined. Tables were too close to each other, but could be because of valentines day and they were trying to maximize space. I would return for their prime rib on a regular day. Its a great dining option for folks looking for a straightforward traditional American meal.
Mixed Experience: Great Recommendations, Disappointing Salad, Average Steaks Review: I had heard numerous glowing recommendations about this place from people I know. However, my experience fell short of expectations. The salad I ordered was disappointingly watery, while the steaks were average at best. It didnt leave me yearning to return for another taste. The service, though commendable, has room for improvement. Overall, it was a mixed experience that left me hesitant about returning.
Simply the best
I had an amazing experience. The food was amazing. The service was amazing. Very friendly professional staff. Especially Kurt, he was our server and he was super friendly, helpful, and made the experience what it is. The portions are big; i had seafood linguine ($40) and I would pay the price because of how delicious the food is and the experience you get at Zorros. Amazing amazing restaurant
We celebrated a birthday and heard so much about Zorro s Steakhouse so this was my first choice. Not disappointed except some people had garbage in their mouth. I was with a lady who did not appreciate it hence the 4 star. Food was amazing, price was in comparison to any good steakhouse.
Amazng prime rib! Double rack of lamb is also fantastic. Just an overall excellent place.
Dingy joint and SCAM table side ceaser. See for yourself. Order a table side ceaser. The server will quietly start making it off in the distance while adding scoops of Sysco ceaser dressing from a pail. Very elegant. Obviously tastes like airplane quality. On the bill $44 plus tip and tax for rubbish. What a joke.
What a great place. A real steakhouse, a few of my colleagues, had The Zorro s Steakhouse Cut Prime Rib . They got a surprise, ended up taking three quarters home with them. I had Escargot (Half Dozen) and Black Tiger Shrimp Sauté to start, beautiful. Shared Chicken Neptune and Chateaubriand, bon magnifique!! Finished with cheesecake, which I thought should have been made in restaurant but was ok. A few bottles of great wines, fantastic meals with great friends and finished off with tea and coffee.
Prime rib is the move here (enormous portion and so tasty) steaks are fantastic too. Also amazing seafood, friend had the salmon. Veggies are always a little bland, could use some interesting seasoning, make sure to salt them with the table salt. Fries were good. Love coming here, it is definitely a vibe and the prime rib is out of this world.
Great food, great value, great service and awesome people that work and run the place
Beautiful old school cool. Food was excellent. Service was fantastic. Definitely will be back.
The food will never let you down. Great old school steak and seafood restaurant. Been going here for over 45 years and still keep coming back.
Best prim rib in town
Decor is old school steakhouse. Frightfully efficient in a good way. They have their service, bar, and kitchen working like clockwork. Seated, water, pickles, and garlic bread put on your table followed closely by your drinks. Garlic bread is addictive and we ate the entire basket. We ordered Tbone and rib steaks with baked potato. Steak came with a salad which was basically a dish of iceberg lettuce with a glop of dressing. Steaks have a lovely char and cooked as ordered. Made room for chocolate cake and cappuccinos. Place seemed to be full of American businessmen based on eavesdropping. An excellent birthday indulgence mid-week.
I ordered chicken in entrees, and it was too dry and burned. Salad was not up to my expectations Service is fine, though
Best steak house!!!
The best steak house in Mississauga.
Fantastic as always! Consistantly great for many many years!
Zorros is a legend in our family as my father was one of the original patrons and we went there VERY often as a family in the 1970s and 80s. Frank always formally greeted my dad by name (Good to see you, Mr. W) & even recognized him after a year absence! Frank would comp us dessert and drinks on basically every visit. We moved quite a distance away so I hadnt been in about 25 years but this past Saturday my husband built our weekend around a special dinner at Zorros. It was a real trip down memory lane with some pros & some disappointments. Upon arrival, we were made to wait 20 minutes in a bizarre little waiting room despite having a reservation. This would never have happened in the past & this waiting room is a narrow room crammed with furniture where everyone has to shift & get up if anyone has to move in & out. Definitely did not have this in the 80s & never had to wait. Honestly they would be better to convert the coat check room into a waiting area as hardly anyone seemed to check their coats anymore. After about 15 min the host (assume an owner) came & asked if we wanted a drink and I thought okay this is more like it, they are going to comp us a drink for having to wait. But no, they charged us $12 each & honestly it was probably the worst Caesar cocktail I have ever had. When we were finally seated I was thrilled to see that the restaurant looked basically identical to the old days! And even more thrilled that the garlic bread is to die for, as it always was! Pickles & olives were also excellent. I am such an old-timer that I remember when the pickle tray came with cottage cheese on it. That only lasted a few years. Also originally all meals came with soup AND salad, but that was later changed to either/or. Now it is salad only. Originally all meals were served on wooden cutting boards - so cool... We decided to order the Caesar salad as the menu said it was still prepared tableside, just like in the old days. Was SO DISAPPOINTED when it was simply delivered on a plate, just like anywhere else. The only reason we splurged on $18 each Caesar salad was for the nostalgia of it being prepared tableside. When we asked about this the waiter stumbled through some sort of excuse that it was too busy to prepare it tableside. Would have been nice to have been told this ahead of time as we would have just had the salad that comes with the meal and saved $40+. (Which, btw, we were never offered the salad that came with the meal. Even though we ordered the Caesar salad, it should have been offered as well). We ordered the Zorros Platter for Two as this was always my favourite in the past. It was as delicious and as plentiful as ever with more than enough coming home with us for another meal for two the next day. Market price was $250, so definitely very pricey but it does not disappoint. Dessert was reasonably priced, only $8 and easily big enough to split. It was so nice to be in a restaurant that, although fully packed, was not deafening. We could hear each other speak without raising our voices. Unfortunately, and this is not the restaurants fault, rude people on their phones can work to spoil any atmosphere. There were phones out everywhere, with the people at the table next to us loudly watching videos as well as video chatting. F-bombs were dropped regularly. Our waiter was just okay. Not friendly, just perfunctory, which was disappointing. He even hit me in the nose with a plate as he reached over my head to sneak in the plates for our meal without me even realizing he was there. We laughed it off, but it was pretty unprofessional. By dessert time, as the place cleared out, a more experienced, personable, friendly and knowledgeable waiter took over and it was much more enjoyable. All in all, we were glad we went for a special meal and a trip down memory lane as Zorros was an iconic part of my childhood. We spent $425 for 2 drinks, 2 salads, the platter, one dessert & 2 coffees so it is a bit over-the-top expensive especially considering the wait time & the not-as-advertised Caesar salad.
Great service and great food. A definite place to go and enjoy!
I feel its over-rated! My hubby brought me there for our anniversary dinner, and I sat next to a woman getting upset with the waiter about her steak being undercooked.... my roast beef was fine but served cold with a little bowl of rice that didnt even taste right. I politely told the waiter about my cold meat and he said he will get it hot... he brought it back saying be careful...its very hot.... yes..the plate was very hot... the meat was not.... I didnt complain but not the greatest experience. Also the cutlery wasnt the best. Honestly the waiters where a but witty.
Service was very prompt, food was excellent, recommended for all occasions.
I went here with my best friend for my birthday dinner, and what a nice and kind atmosphere it was. Service was great, and servers were very attentive and caring. Food was great. Would be going back as a regular!
Expensive but quality food. Mostly meat and seafood Vegetarian options: None. :) Food : 5/5 |
Fantastic steakhouse. From the amazing homemade Caesar salad to the best shrimp scampi I ve ever had. I love going to Zorro s
I had a chicken entree dish..it was super dry. Salad, too, was fully loaded with vinegar Not worth...
One of the best place for prime rib.
Only get the zorros cut if you have a massive appetite! Absolutely done to perfection but too much for me in one sitting! Highly recommended!
Great place!! very few of these traditional steakhouses left, great food quality, place for taking a special client for an amazing steak lunch/dinner,reasonable priced as per a steakhouse.
Excellence. Simply put.
Steak had no seasonings whatsoever, it was too bland. Ordered Medium, but got medium rare. The service felt so rushed, almost as if they just wanted us to come, eat fast and leave. They forgot to put garlic bread on our table, i had to remind the waiter. Everything is overpriced and doesnt live up its standards. Spent over 200$ for 2 people on Valentines day and came out dissatisfied. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
We felt unwelcome and the service was so poor with a rude attitude
Maybe don t go on valentine s day? I think regardless of how busy it was the food and service just sucked. Had an 8:30pm reservation and didn t get sat until 9pm. Had to ask a waiter for MENUS around 9pm and didn t have anyone to take our order until 9:30pm.. Didn t get our food until 10pm. We were most likely forgotten about as we watched not one but three other tables get sat and served after we were. There was a valentine s day menu so we didn t end up getting what we wanted from the original menu. If we knew this we would have just went on another day to get a better experience and more options. The steak was charred with no flavor and served with plain broccoli and carrots. Accompaniment options sucked so didn t get any but my boyfriend got the mushrooms which were okay. The salad is just a blob of a creamy dressing on top of greens. They get a one star for me because the amaretto sour I ordered was really good and I got pickles and kalamata olives for the first hour (my favorite snacks). But then you re not hungry by the time your food comes. Overall, soo many better steakhouses for the same if not better prices than here. Heard so many good reviews from family/friends and was left super underwhelmed and annoyed. Just tried to get our bill and get out of there at the end..
Reviews here are what made us want to dine here but unfortunately it was disappointing. I will say we came on Valentine s Day for a 9PM reservation so I assume it would be busy, but our waiter didn t introduce himself, asked us so what do you want? literally seconds after us sitting down, and tossed my boyfriend our receipt on the table without a word after he tipped him 20% for ignoring us our entire meal. The prices compared to what is served do not align whatsoever. I ordered the scallops and steak and while there were many large scallops on my plate (awesome!) they were overcooked unfortunately, and the steak was charred and chewy I had to spit out a few pieces. I wouldn t go back here unfortunately, although I m sure it may be better on less busy days, but we felt rushed and unwelcome.
Everything about this place is an experience. The food ambience and service. A great place to go Food
Always a great dinner! We ve been coming here for sooo many years.
Amazing prime rib! The combination platter was so generous and sumptuous. Come hungry! Oh, the garlic bread... Man!
I went to Zorros for our company Christmas party and they really did not disappoint. The decor was a throwback to the 80s but it definitely works. If I had any complaint, it would be I didnt receive the correct silverware when I had my escargots. Having said that, they were very tasty and full of flavour. The lobster and steak was to die for the steak was a perfect medium rare and the lobster tail was huge and it melted in your mouth. It was a great time!
The service and food were both excellent!
The place looks amazing inside, they even have a waiting area for your to get comfortable while your table is prepared. Oysters were really good but overpriced for a dozen; nice and large though not worth $49. Ordered two steaks, was underwhelmed by the side of broccoli, carrots, potato, fries, salad. My steak had zero seasoning on it but cooked evenly just as I asked medium rare. Just felt like I could get a more diverse salad from a grocery store. It was literally iceberg lettuce with a vinaigrette. The fries were soft not crispy not sure if they were cooked from frozen. When I pay for a +$60 steak I d appreciate it if I wasn t just given veggies. For a steakhouse I wasn t impressed however the place was packed so there are probably other things on the menu.
We got the 12 oz network striploin with a baked potato and the food was heavily under expectations. For a steak at this price it lacked flavour and quality nothing special about the baked potato it was completely plain and bland anyone could have cooked this meal. Food definitely wasnt worth the price for a fancy establishment. Better off going with a chain like Moxies or the Keg. Although we had a reservation we had to wait an extra half an hour which added to our disappointment with the food.
Drop Everything... stop what your doing... I have a very important announcement..... Zorros is the Best! staff 5 stars... food 5 stars... restaurant 5 stars... go... dont wait just go... best Steakhouse around... dont waste money anywhere else!... you will be in agreement... try it... then tell everyone you know... boom I just changed your life... your welcome.
We had lunch at Zorro s Restaurant today. The food was wonderful. The servers were extremely courteous and attentive. This is a great place if you want to fine dine with someone special or with a group of friends. This place is awesome!!
Absolutley fantastic
We were rushed from the moment we arrived. From the appetizers to the bill, we werent even finished our food before the next arrived and we were out in about an hour. (Table rotaton a priority?) The service was not personal and one of the main dinners was supposed to be with a Rose sauce. When brought to the waiters attention, he said it was a Rose and simply walked away... This is an old style dining experience, without that old time charm that you would expect from the staff. (Certainly NOT fine dining) I wont get into the food as that is often subjective... No, I wouldnt go back.
Very good reasturaunt overall, the steak was beautifully cooked and was sided with not only a baked potato and vegetables, but also an included salad. In addition to this, the service was amazing. Everyone was very friendly and I was consistantly checked up on.
Great service.Outdated place with dull and boring ambience. Overated and over priced.Poor presentation of the steak, meat on a plate with some steamed veggies thrown around. The cocktail was poorly made and badly presented. The only thing worth a mention was the bread that they served in the beginning
Service was pretty good. We had a table of 13 guys and the staff did great attending to everyone and making sure everyone was good. Steak for me was overdone and a little tough but everyone else enjoyed it. Bacon 9n the wrapped scallops were soft and floppy. Scallops were good but the lobster tail was also tough. Everyone with prime rib and rib steak enjoyed it
Always fantastic!!
Dinner at Zorro s was pricey and truly not worth it. The ambience is old world steakhouse which is rustic and nostalgic however needs a little TLC. For example, the large chandelier in the dining room needs repair. The service was quick and efficient. The food was mediocre. A basket of garlic bread, relish tray with pickles and black olives and butter shaped rounds are offered to start. Our meals included a salad which truly is a mound of only lettuce with what appears to be and taste like store bought dressing. Strip loin and rib steak ordered which were cooked perfectly and tender. The veg sides are a huge chunk of steamed/boiled broccoli and carrots. The starch on offer was either rice, baked potato or fries (that are the frozen variety). Nothing awesome or super delicious. It was rudimentary stuff accompanying a good steak. It was not a bad experience nor a stellar one.
The steaks were cooked to our liking, and the service was efficient and courteous but we found it was a bit pricey for an average kind of experience, nothing life changing here.
I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner date here. The food was so filling! They took every request seriously and ensured we got all we asked for. Asked for a well cooked steak and they delivered so well. The Zorros Platter for two was everything. It tasted so great.... I for some reason enjoyed the carrots in the Platter a little too much. . Its only at this restaurant that I have thoroughly enjoyed tipping because the service if asked to rate would have been over 100%. I am definitely recommending Zorros to everyone for some ultimate fine dining experience.
It is always very nice to be there.
best steakhouse I have been to.
Depending on what you order, you may want to come with an empty stomach - I ordered the prime rib, and it turned out to be a 24-ounce cut, with very little bone. A couple of people in our party ordered the Zorro cut, and it was even larger! Nevertheless, the food was delicious and the wait staff were very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was very nice and there seemed to be ample parking. We spent about $100/person, including taxes and a fair bit to drink.
Dinner was rushed. Still having salad when they brought out dinner. Found shell pieces in the oysters Rockefeller. Steak wasnt cooked properly. Ordered medium rare and it was rare and raw in the middle. Very disappointing as heard good things about this restaurant.
First, the service was great from start to finish. The second food was great, but there was no room to get from the table to exit as we were squeezed in like crazy.
Top restaurant in the West
Old style full service, staff shows a competence and attention to detail that is very uncommon in todays world. Food was above any standard you could possibly make! Portions are generous and our group of six received their orders at the same time bourne by several staff ! Steaks were superb! Large selection of wines to choose from and desserts were perfect! Make reservations well ahead as Zorros is very busy .! I highly recommend this restaurant..give yourself a well earned treat!
outstanding place. Delicious food and great service
Ive been here many times throughout the years, and its always consistent. Amazing food and drinks. Great service.
A great place for a fancy date or a business dinner.
Amazing service, average food. Overpriced.
