My new favourite Asian restaurant

We went to this restaurant for our 32nd Wedding anniversary yesterday and we had the most amazing time. It was our first time there. The staff was wonderful and friendly and the meal was delicious. Prices very reasonable as well. Good variety in menu with lots of GF options. A beautiful atmosphere and they made our evening very special in a variety of ways. Thank you so much to the staff. We will for sure be back and recommend you to others for any occasion. Check out this place.You wont be disappointed.!

We have been here many times before and recently had our wedding reception here (party of almost 20). Everything was straightforward and taken care of for us. We greatly appreciated everything and everyone had more food than they could eat.

I ordered the take out. I had the pad thai and spring rolls. Not the fried version. These were exceptionally good. Service was good. However the did manage to forget my pop, which at $3.50 a can I would have made sure was included.

Food was delicious, came out fast and was hot. Good variety of Asian meals, including a few Asian Canadian favorites. Vegetarian options: Lots of tofu options for protein.

Me and my kids came to this restaurant. I loved all the food, we ordered Thai fried rice extra spicy, after 10 years I m having the same amount of spicy food I had before moving to Canada.Just Wow.

Came way too hot grease splattering everywhere from black stone they brought the food .Missing beef and broccoli was just missing something sauce was boil away from hot plate and there more broccoli then 5 piece of very small meat but Korean spicy chicken was actually good it never came with boiling plate

We are having a great meal. Imperial rolls, potstickers, pho, and a noodle bowl. Everything is delicious. Nice and hot. The atmosphere is very nice; soft music and beautiful decor. We will be back!

Wonton soup was decent but salad rolls and spring rolls were just dry and awful.

Had a great meal here with friends. No complaints around the table at all highly recommend Vegetarian options: Have tofu in case vegetarian and vegan options with no egg or fish sauce.

This has become my regular restaurant when I visit Moncton. Waiter is always really friendly. I always have the teriyaki Udon noodles and spring rolls. Their bubble tea drinks are really good as well!

Its the most delicious food ever

This was our first visit and surprised to see on their menus that they have been in NB for 22yrs! Truly a great atmosphere, great food and the service was fantastic as well! Certainly will be visiting again soon! Parking: Lots of parking available as it is a shared lot with the strip mall.

Very nice clean atmosphere but the food was really not flavourful, I got the Singapore noodles spicy and my girlfriend got the pad tai spicy both where just not that satisfying. Sangria was yummy tho I d recommend that

Love this Asian restaurant. I consider it the best in Moncton for the following reasons: great service and reservation system, kind to help out on special request. The food is great and served piping hot even with a large group. Best location as it allows great sitting areas with privacy. Great for all, date, family, and groups. Vegetarian options: They have custom made stir fry and lots more options. Parking: Ample parking. Wheelchair accessibility: Clean washroom at level.

We had their Valentines dinner and it was absolutely scrumptious! The food was top notch as was the service. We will definitely be going back again and again.

Great food, 2nd time there. Spring rolls, pot stickers, Calamari and wife had some huge bowl with chicken and noodles, eggs. Cant remember the name but great spice to it. Plenty of food so we carried half home.

This is the best place! The food is amazing and it is so fast, much faster than so called fast food. Almost never busy and they get the spice perfect each time, you just have to be specific on what spice level you want. Singapore noodles are my recommendation. Would eat here every week if we lived in Moncton!

Atmosphere is nice, food is good BUT, be careful. They wanted to charge me $7.48 for an Arizona Ice Tea that literally says $1.29 on the can. That makes me question the value/quality of their food versus what they re actually charging now. As a rule I avoid places that try to profit over 300% markup on something. Aside from that. Pretty decent spot for a lovely dinner.

We love everything in here. The food, the service and the ambiance. Fantastic food.and it is NOT spicy hot Very tasty food. Great place for family, date nights or with friends. Awesome service! Food, Very AVERAGE.Chinese fried chicken was undercooked and hard. I eat very spicy and salty food, it was over salty for me so you can imagine. Green sauce was alright nothing over the top, the quantity of rice was meager, a very small bowl as compared to the gravy, you will imagine what to do with gravy now, wontons were size of timbits. Beer was ordered and the waiter totally forgot as he was constantly in the kitchen, looks like he is the chef himself, who warms pre cooked food, assembles the dishes and bring out to your table. We were only one at that time in entire restaurant, very poor service. Singapore noodles were disastrous, salted to hell, with no flavors. Please save your money, you can cook much better food yourself at home. Had to ask for sauces, its basic you have to put sauces on the table. Butter shrimps were mediocre too, overall food was not flavourful at all. Decor was good, but it lacks almost everything else to be called a fine dine. Food carts or food courts are better, total money and time wastage. Waiter vanished for entire time, never asked if we needed anything else. Spare yourself this beautiful horror, I say beautiful because decor was good, thats their CATCH but seating position was also on the tighter side. Parking: Parking is available everywhere in the city.

Staff was friendly. The food while it had flavour reminded us of the stuff you get at Sobeys premade. Pretty disappointed considering the hype. Save time and money, just buy the grocery store Asian food.

I think Pad Thai should be removed from the menu. I tried it twice through delivery, and it was very tasteless both times. First of all, the sauce is not Pad Thai sauce, and I dont know what kind of vegetables it contains, but its a very awkward ingredient. I like Pad Thai, so Ive tried it at every restaurant in Mongton. I think I couldnt eat it all last time, but this time I couldnt even eat half of it.

We chose Mais because we really wanted food that was flavorful and gluten free so its safe for people with Celiac. It was our second time there in a couple of weeks because we enjoyed it so much, and they take the time to ensure that the gluten free food is safe and free of any cross-contamination. Will definitely be going back Dietary restrictions: Safe for people with Celiac, especially if you communicate your concerns with them

My mother and I were only in Moncton for the day and we found this place had good reviews on Google so we thought we would give it a try and we are so happy we did!! The food was delicious and the restaurant/washroom was extremely clean. I will say the service is what guaranteed our return, Jaycee was so personable and welcoming, if only every restaurant had a Jaycee!! Thank you again for making our day.

thoroughly mediocre. we got delivery to our hotel and no cutlery or anything was included which I thought strange since hotel = on the road = generally no cutlery on hand. the pad thai was okay if a little bland, small portion for the general tao chicken, but $8.50 for 2 spring rolls is a bit steep. I wouldnt eat here again but it wasnt bad, just alright. delivery was quick though!

I ordered pad thai tonight. I ordered it spicy but there is no other flavour of pad thai sauce at all and i think they did put celery instead of green onions. Absolutely nothing like a pad thai. Paid 20 bucks for this small quantity and can t even finish it. Good luck guys!!!

Quiet place, lots of space, clean. Prompt and friendly service. We ordered: - Udon: quite mild... not very flavorful but good texture. - Shrimp fried rice for the kids: they let us opt out of scallions, no problem (the kids dont like them). Was good! The kids loved it. - Green curry with rice: excellent! Medium spicy, just delicious. Quantities were good - not huge portions but definitely enough to feel full. We also got bubble tea to go, in the end. It was good. All in all, a nice experience but not cheap. Parking: Plaza parking lot, right there. Kid-friendliness: It was very quiet so it felt like our kids were being super loud... but nobody said anything.

Asian menu. Menu choices are limited with other similar restaurants. But that doesnt detract from the taste of the dishes, its very good and the service is fast. There were very few customers during our visit. Vegetarian options: Several choices of vegetarian dishes

We had a business lunch at Mai restaurant with a co-worker and the food was delish! Service was prompt, professional and pleasant. The restaurant was exceptionally clean and the Pad Thai was probably the best we have ever had. We will definetly be returning soon.

Been there mutliple times over the years and its always been great food with excellent service every time. They are a great place for celiac with many delicious gluten free options.

Our food was absolutely delicious, but with one major caveat. We ordered our meals from Doordash and I ordered the wonton soup as my main. There was no ingredients list and it had shrimp in it at the bottom. Im very allergic to seafood. Thankfully, I didnt have too bad of a reaction, but I wasnt expecting it as Ive never had seafood in my wonton before. A little disappointing but the rest of our meal was good.

Decided to pop in here randomly one day. We always drove past it and figured we should try it out. We werent disappointed! We both ordered the Korean spicy chicken and it was really good. The default is mild, my partner got spicy, and I got extra spicy. The extra spicy was a decent spice level for New Brunswick. I asked for some extra hot sauce and the stuff they have in the back has some serious kick! It was really great being able to get real spicy food in this province. Really good sized portions too. When it first came out it didnt look like a lot but the bowls are deceptive! I left pleasantly full which was nice because while the restaurant isnt expensive, its not cheap either. So the amount you get for the price along with the quality (and our server, Jordan was great too!) This place is somewhere we will definitely be returning to.

More like 2.5 but I think the food could be easily improved. We ordered Green Curry with Tofu, General Tso s Chicken, Pad See Ew with Tofu and Vegetarian Imperial Rolls. First, the green curry was smooth and well balanced, tofu was plentiful and steamed rice was included with meal. It did need some Thai basil. The Imperial Rolls were crispy BUT the filling was chewy. The General Tso s chicken here is not General Tso s chicken, sorry, they re just confused. General Tso s is my absolute favorite American-Chinese food that I fell in love with over twenty years ago, and in all the years of eating since then, it has never tasted like this. Sadly, the chicken in this sweet and sour sauce tastes good, but 1) it is not General Tso s, so you ll be disappointed if that s what you re expecting and 2) it s over half filled with carrots and onions (see my picture). Lastly, let s review the Pad See Ew, my absolute Favorite Thai meal when it s made right (in restaurants or when I make it at home). This one was a shame, because the seasoning was pretty good but, 1) the noodles they used are not wide rice noodles, they are the dried thinner version commonly used in Pad Thai so 2) the noodles aren t chewy like they re supposed to be because they are, again, not WIDE rice noodles but 3) the noodles were scarce anyway. I included the picture after I had eaten every noodle and you can see, that s a lot of Bean Sprouts, which are not even supposed to be in Pad See Ew. Anyway, if anyone is interested in making and eating good Thai, I recommend Tian Phat Asian Grocery store on the Bedford Highway in NS and for lots of ingredients, Veseys seeds for planting your own Thai basil and the website Hot Thai Kitchen for lots of Thai recipes and videos, including how to make Wide Rice Noodles. We do it quite often and it is well worth the effort.

I recently spent my 40th birthday at Mai Asian Restaurant. It is a relaxing and inviting atmosphere with beautiful decor, spectacular service, and top notch food. I had one of the best experiences eating there, and would highly recommend everyone that wants a lovely dining experience to stop in and grab a bite! Parking: This restaurant shares a parking lot with a few other restaurants and there seemed enough room for plenty of vehicles.

Obviously understaffed, sadly paid over 50$ for some aweful takeout. Had an order of hardly cooked veggies with soggy breaded chicken bits and poorly seasoned pad sew with leather cutlets instead of beef strips. Won t be going back here for a while, hopefully they hire a new chef/get a few more staff, there were some other disappointed customers there, nights like this can ruin a restaurant

Previously had reviewed this place as 5 stars, but unfortunately downgrading my review. This place has gone downhill. Used to be one of our favorite places to order take out once a week or more. The last 3 times have been disappointing. Missing sauce or barely any sauce in the container the previous 2 times (for dishes that require sauce or else its bland). Tonight the beef and brocolli and chinese chicken fried rice had an overwhelming amount of black pepper. Its all you could taste. I called a couple times to (nicely) advise them about my concerns as a frequent customer. All they do is apologize and say they will take note for next time.

I was really excited to be trying this place out for the first time since Thai food is a favourite!!! We ate there yesterday. Loved the atmosphere and they have a great menu. I ordered the fresh spring rolls and Pad Sew and requested that both be vegan. The spring rolls were meh, noodles and lettuces with no other added veggies. Spring rolls are always about the dipping sauce anyway and their dipping sauce was overly sweet, like dessert sweet with little other flavour. The Pad Sew came with egg, even though I ordered vegan. I opted not to send it back or make a big deal out of it. It was flavourful with a good amount of veggies but quite oily. It was ok, but I can easily make better at home and Im no amazing home cook. This always a disappointment when dining out. Overall a fair dining experience.

Very expensive dishes for the amount of food we get. We ordered the pho and the tomyum noodles. Both were way too sweet and does not taste authentic at all. The service was slow and they even forgot about the dish of one person so we had to wait an extra 15min before everyone got their meal. Not recommended Edit (following reply from restaurant): we visited the restaurant on a regular day and not on a holiday (Aug 1st New Brunswick Day), and there were only 3 occupied tables at that time. We do appreciate your effort in improving your restaurant service.

As an asian myself I can tell that the food here was not authentic at all. Especially the tom tum soup was not spicy and tasteless, and there was only one staff that takes order only but the price was insanely expensive and have to tip more than 15% was not worth it.

I went this place for dinner so ordered teriyaki Udon noodles which are wok-tossed with Chef teriyaki sauce and Khao Soi which is a Northern Thai soup combines tender braised chicken with a coconut-y curry broth, served with egg noodles, tofu and boiled egg. Both the dishes order are good in taste but I recommend them to tossed chicken in khao soi in some sauce to enhance the taste of khao soi. Best customer service, great ambiance and good quality food. STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.

Had the Chinese dinner for 4 tonight and want to share my thoughts to fellow new residents. Mais has a great atmosphere and staff was very friendly. Food was very fast and presented well. The ribs were hands down some of the best Ive ever had, definitely the highlight of the meal. The chicken balls however were not to our taste, being very thickly battered with a sweet, almost cakey batter and very bland. Egg rolls were good but the chow mein was also almost flavorless. Last but not least is the rice. All members of the family were mixed on it. It was good rice but it didnt seem like fried rice at all, more like seasoned fresh rice, not bad at all but unexpected. Overall we liked Mais and will try some other dishes in future but dont think wed get this particular meal again

Recommend this restaurant the food is very good, cooked hot and fresh when you order. Tried several of their dishes and appetizers and have not been let down so far. Excellent service from the waitress everytime Ive been.

Been there twice in the past month both times for lunch and I have to say that I was very pleased. The atmosphere is nice, the place was quiet, service was great and the food was amazing. The medium spicy food was just great for me ( think Tabasco or jalapeno level spicy). Will have to go back for supper one of these days.

So frustrating trying to eat salty food like this. Green curry. A sweet Thai curry, infused in coconut milk, served with vegetables and a side of rice or naan bread. This is what I ordered for dinner. I was very disappointed. My son and I ordered the same thing. The food was extremely salty. The restaurant was closing, so we were stuck with the food that we ended up throwing away. My husband had one shrimp in his soup that he ordered. He was not impressed either. We had to leave the city the next day, so we never got a chance to go in and let them know. Check your food before you leave the premises.

The food was too salty. The pho wasnt hot. The waiter was in the kitchen, so we couldnt talk about the inconvenience right away. The waiter didnt come out of the kitchen and we waited in front of the checkout counter for a while. I will not visit again.

The atmosphere, presentation, service, price and food here are all excellent. The food and drinks are presented and plated in ways that make my mouth water. The waiter checked up at just the right time and frequency, and was very keen to listen to our questions and requests. Our time here was excellent, and we will be eating here again the next time we are in the area.

Again we had a wonderful meal. My wife and I shared the imperal rolls, Mais pot stickers and then I had the beef pho soup and my wife the chicken pho soup. This is a must stop for us when we come to Moncton. If you like the Pho, here is the place to have it.

It was a happy time here. Ive found the best Asian restaurant in town eventually. Especially, the Pho is breathtakingly mouth watering. Highly recommended. Ill definitely be back very soon.

Terrible take-out experience. The fresh veggie Spring Rolls we ordered as an appetizer and the Asian Explorer from the kids menu were good (so at least our 2 year old got to eat), but everything else had serious issues and went mostly uneaten... We did not receive the wontons we ordered (fortunately werent charged for them), the egg in the BBQ Pork Lomein was burnt (not just overcooked, black in some places), the tofu massaman curry was missing the naan ordered as a side, and despite being told it was for a vegetarian when the order was placed contained a lot of chicken. We were offered a $25 gift card (which we arent going to take) to compensate for all the issues, but on a $74 (after 18% tip) order with only the kids meal and an appetizer being OK thats a bit insulting. Its a shame, my wife loved their Bathurst location so was extremely surprised and disappointed by our experience. Maybe its a one off, I see a lot of the other reviews are positive, but we wont be going back to find out.

Limited menu and some items can be a little bland, I would recommend getting a little spicier than what you usually would. Overall really good food. Stir fried veggie dishes are what they do best

This resturant came up in my gluten free app, so we gave it a try. It has great atmosphere, it is small, and the food is fantastic.

Okay good things first..the place is beautiful the staff is nice and the appetizers are very good. Now on to the not so good, the pho size come in only two small and large and doubles is price when you go to the large which is really normally a small bowl in all other Viet pho places, we re talking $7 for a small which is the size of started soup and the $14 for a large. You get no bean sprouts no limes no basil no fish sauce no siracha no hoasin or even soy sauce...we asked for limes and they where shocked. The broth is okay very fatty and missing cinnamon and anisen in it flavor..so for two bowls of pho two appetizers and two pops $66.00 that is just unheard of in any other Viet places and I can base that even on the craziness of Toronto nprices...and my husband is Viet he was shocked. Honestly not worth the price,sorry to be so honest maybe the other dishes are a amazing but for us we will never go back.

I have been to Mai and enjoyed it very much, your mai bistro is horrible banh mi looks more like a hot-dog 1/2, the size about 4 and mostly tasteless, the fruit salad should simply be called salad with no dressing and the poutine was missing the kimchi. Very disappointed for the price total ripoff.

Good service and newly renovated. So I am a huge Pho fan and would not pay for it here again. Broth was good but it was the smallest and most expensive Pho I have had. Sorry to say it was disappointing!

By far thus is the cleanest restaurant I have been to in Moncton. The washrooms are also impeccable. The food portions were huge and just delicious. Enjoyed my time there with a friend.

A sort of Thai - Chinese restaurant for those who like such cuisine. We were in a group of eight and ordered a variety of dishes. I must admit that there are other Thai restaurants in Atlantic Canada which serve better fare in terms of authenticity, taste, quality and quantity. The kid meal had to be discarded as it was too spicy ; appeared to have been rather carelessly prepared as all other dishes we ordered for adults was rather bland and spice less. The cashew chicken supposed to have been cooked with five different sauces, and am still wondering as to what are those exotic sauces. I sincerely hope the management perceives that there is room for improvement and acts upon it, so that we are tempted to visit again.

Super friendly staff, food is very fresh too! We had a chef come to our table to ask us how the food was after we finished our meal, which is always nice to see.
