137 McLaughlin Dr, Moncton, NB E1A 4P4, Canada
Cozy cafe & bakery presenting traditional French fare plus elevated cakes & pastries.
Tony’s has the only chocolate croissant I will actually go out of my way to get. I live in Saint John and they are SO good. Extremely delicious dough, crispy exterior, soft inside and the semi sweet chocolate snaps when you bite into it and I absolutely love that about it!
First the atmosphere and decors for the holidays was beautiful. Although the menu is short, there are lots of options. The burger was absolutely delicious, as well as the autumn salad. Service was also quick and efficient and waters were refilled without having to ask!
We ordered a cheesecake for our one-year wedding anniversary, and it was absolutely amazing! The flavor was perfect, the texture was spot on, and everyone loved it. It made our celebration extra special. Highly recommend!
Dropped in on my way to the airport for the first time. It was a ‘treat’, and recommended by a number of locals. Food service in atmosphere all were excellent
Good vibe and excellent service! But the food is not the best ( if you are expecting the same). The mushroom sandwich was mentioned with a wild mushrooms - so, there were a standard mushrooms from grosery store. Also, potato vages with regular ketchup (with mushrooms and white sauce?)... wasn't the best as well. Even fresh fruits were... Not fresh. They were made(cut) a day before, so they had a taste of a bit pickled fruits, with fruit juice (for some people with IBD it could cause some digestive issues. But, coffee was great! And service, again - excellent! Sorry, guys. Just to be fair, I'm not complaining about recipes, it's all about the client expectations. Thanks, anyway, for your great and welcoming service! And the desert display looked excellent! Hope, it's was just not the best day.
The breakfast at Tony's is fantastic! I had the best French toast I've ever had, and the pastries are to-die-for 😍
I have been hearing about this place for so long. Glad I was able to get out to it. It has a display of desserts, and they aren't all cheesecakes. As someone who loves dessert but isn't a fan of cheesecake, this place is perfect. We stopped in for a dessert and hot drink. Service was fantastic, she was fun and knowledgeable.
The cafe got a vibe and have a lots of option of bakery and patisseries. Almond croissant was good in taste and freshly baked. Tried bunch of pastries, it is good texture and perfect sugary balance not so sweet not so plain! Serves are humble and generous, also give suggestions that is famous of the cafe. Also there is patio outside, especially in summer it is nice to enjoy the environment. I went all the way from Halifax!
Amazing pastries
We make it a tradition to go to Tonys every time we are in Moncton. My brother lives there so we go often. Ive never been disappointed before, except for twice this weekend. I ordered then morning eggs - the eggs were poached so perfectly, the game was delicious - the potatoes were old, stale and cold. She offered to get me new ones but I couldnt be bothered to wait, I like eating my food together. I didnt ask for one or cause a scene but I like be lying if I said I didnt expect some sort of small discount on my meal - as I ultimately paid over $20 for two poached eggs, two peices of ham, toast and a small bowl of fruit. The next day we went back for pastries, I had the apple almond croissant. It was not fresh, it was hard and Im going to guess it was made the day before - I wasted $6 on something not edible. Which made me wish even more I had been given a discount the day before. The restaurant itself is lovely - great ambiance, comfortable seating and staff are friendly.
My first time there and was blown away. I have been in the hospitality industry for 40 yrs and truly enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Our server was very professional. Will definitely be back.
Tonys is my go-to spot for coffee and lunch meetings. The atmosphere, service and coffee are all great.
Delicious dessert
We had another great lunch meal on the weekend. It is one of our go to restaurants and bakeries in Moncton!
Always makes a difference!
Fabulous food
Amazing dessert and service. The atmosphere was very relaxing .
Food is delicious at Tony s, all ingredients are SO fresh and the meals are very flavourful!!
I invited my daughter for lunch for her birthday. We had to wait 20 min before there was a table available but waiting was worth it! This is the most delicious food I have tried so far! We had a good time!
Best baked goods Ive had in NB
Fantastic service and scrumptious dessert !
Lovely restaurant. Great food with decent sized portions. Friendly and efficient staff. Would highly recommend
Super good
Alright. My eggs Benedict were good, and the side fruits too. Quite pricy. Restaurant decor is pretty kitschy. Not much of an ambiance. Soft radio playing, people placed very much apart. Waitresses mostly chatting between themselves. Minimal employee-customer interaction.
Very nice place for a good lunch. Everything is to our taste including the pastries. Great discovery.
Excellent bistro. I recommend the vol-au-vent.
Eggs Benedict were excellent. The regular egg breakfast and coffee was very good. So nice to have delicious in-house made bread on the plate. The only thing that was a little off was the texture of the home fries.
Great service and , best cakes in town
Really good food.
My go to spot in Moncton for a quick coffee or leisurely lunch ..love it here.
Delicious pastries, coffee and breakfast.
We only bought baked good and they were so yummy.
Best staff ! Amazing service!
Great food but a bit pricey. Didn t mention that the side salad and soup that was offered were and extra $2
Expensive. Beautifully presented
Croissant was delicious but not the best that I have eaten. It came close. Was missing a bit of butter flavor.
Good place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. 2 stars for the kitchen, because very often the bacon is burnt and brittle in the dishes. Even when we ask to do it again they are the same. The same goes for potatoes which are sometimes very dry. Not worthy of the Tonys! So to improve :)
When you taste the pastry s you will know- they didn t come to play!!
Food and service is the best. Presentation matches the taste. Devine!
Beautiful Pastries! Got a mixer box of cookies, croissants and danishes for my friends and cannot say enough about how delicious every single thing was 10/10 Im from halifax, and if we had a Tonys, Id be there every week, of not more often
My only problem with Tonys is that I cant eat all the cakes, but I want to. The delicate and nuanced pastries and cakes the likes of which are seldom seen in New Brunswick make any day better.
Very disappointed with the server. There was a bug, A BUG, on my dessert, which she returned and brought me a new one. However, when she brought my bill there was no adjustment made for the bug. When I brought this to her attention she said she would check with the manager. He agreed to 25% off my bill which resulted in a $2 savings. I find the management style to be lacking in customer service standards and class. The food however was delicious as usual.
This is a world class bakery. We are incredibly lucky to have this level of talent in our tiny town. Do yourself a favour, drop the dollars, eat all the things. You wont be disappointed.
The most delicious chicken pot pie I ve ever had! Well done Took a white chocolate Roger home also perfection!! Food : 5/5
Small, quiet and cozy. Everything we ate and drank was excellent. Dessert was next level delicious.
Great for gluten free options, reasonable prices. A great selection of treats and goodies for everyone. Dietary restrictions: Had many gluten free options for desert
Excellent gourmet burger & gourmet street tacos. Good service
I thought the brunch was amazing... Then I walked over to the bakery for some takeout. This place is awesome
Great lunch
Amazing pastries!
Delicious beet rueben sandwich! Vegetarian!
Amazing food and fantastic service by staff and umami cakes just loved it .... definitely must visit And a secret their coffee is better than Tims and I mean it Please visit here to try your self
Edit: Dropping the rating because just went in for lunch on a weekday and apparently the only vegetarian option is a caprese sandwich. Literally nothing else, apparently. I loved the place, picked it for my birthday lunch, but I did not feel welcome Food hits every time. Service is a little iffy depending on who s there. Exceptional French style pastries, no doubt. Vegetarian options: No vegetarian options for lunch.
Great for sharing!
Food is good but the expansion of restaurants in the city means it compares to any decent restaurant in area. Service wasnt good - rude and inattentive, and they dont seem to manage relations with customers well. Ive been to the restaurant a few times and have consistently found their service wanting.
Amazing food! So fresh and flavourful. I had the Chicken Pot Pie with house salad, my husband had Quiche with Caprese salad. Finished off with Creme Brulee. Our server Renee was great! Highly recommend!
Best food in town Parking: Lots of parking in behind the restaurant if the front is full Food : 5/5 |
Went for the valentines dinner and it was absolutely delicious!! So well made.
Good food. Service is so so. My feet were a bit chilly. Good amount serving, fresh ingredients. Didn t get offered water as i sat down, only got 1 water refill for the whole 30 mins. Idk why, but my toes were feeling the chills throughout the dining experience. Pretty nice ambience tho
Loved the seafood chowder.
What a great restaurant. I had never heard of it and went for the first time for lunch and it did not disappoint. The food was beyond delicious. I had the pot pie and chowder and it was the best Ive ever had, hands down. Service was great and on top of things. A lovely atmosphere if you want a nice night out or simply go relax with friends. Highly recommend.
Of course! Great tasty dessert!
I went in to buy a very good but quite expensive bread and pastry.
Probably my favorite place to eat in Moncton. Very cozy atmosphere and the food is next level. Highly recommend! Do your tastebuds a favor and give it a try. Food
The service here was great. Took the family here when it wasn t busy at all. I m not one to take pictures of food very often but the presentation was too good not to. I had to take my time eating because the food was worth savouring.
After two years in Moncton I just found this place. Amazing staff, great food and a cozy atmosphere. Try it, you wont regret it!
It was awesome x
The burger and soup were so delicious. If Mickey helps, you will be lucky. She is amazing. Dont forget about dessert. Hint: on your website gallery, please add the dish names.
Great food and service, highly recommended.
What a wonderful visit. Spent 3 hrs visiting family. No one rushed us. Thank you.
Breakfast Excellent. Dinner Excellent. Desserts WOW. Very relaxing atmosphere. A 5 Star Eating Place.
Food is 8,9 of 10, its different than anything around, good brunch, feels like a retirement home most of the time. Popular place. Overpriced for what it is, maybe because there is not much connection around. But $4.65 for a glass of sparkling water is unacceptable no matter what
Came in for a treat from the counter area. They were a little more on the pricey side, but are delicious
Highly recommended this place! Decor and atmosphere is great! I ordered French Toast and the presentation was fantastic. On top of this, it was delicious! Wait wasnt long at all, either! Service was very good, friendly. I highly recommend getting the hot chocolate!
Quality food and nothing else, value for money, one of the best in town.
Ive always found the food at Tonys Restaurant in Moncton to be delicious and worth the price (despite being a bit on the pricier side). However, my recent experiences with service have led me to give a 4-star rating instead of 5. As a former waitress, I understand the pressures of the job, but the service from an older waitress during my last three visits was somewhat lacking. She seemed unenthusiastic and unsmiling, making asking questions about the menu uncomfortable. Despite this, the exceptional food quality keeps me coming back :)
Was seated then told they could not serve us.No explanation given.
Lovely place, delicious food with European atmosphere.
I do not give 5 stars but this is a close one. One of my new fav spots. Quality over quantity with was perfect that night.
Great ambiance and savoury food.
Fantastic food
Little pricey but excellence usually is.
I visited this establishment on October 15th 2022. I had an allergic reaction to peanut when I was at the restaurant. I told the waitress I was allergic to peanut and if I could eat the meal I wanted. She told me that I could; she had asked the cook if it was safe for me to eat. As soon as I took a bite I started to have difficulty breathing. I asked the manager if she could check the ingredients again and she told me that there was peanut in the meal. I immediately went to the hospital.
A nice local place to enjoy meal with family. Love the breakfast.
Was super happy to experience all the good reviews were true. One of the best breakfast place in town with great atmosphere and very friendly staff.
Wonderful little cafe and bakery. Cakes made with real butter and real eggs. Great quiches Real bread Cant say enough about this great cafe Nice ambiance and helpful staff
Yum!
Food just ok, nothing to impress. Good service.
Excellent food and excellent service!! Will definitely go again when in the area!!
Pleasant staff, great pastries. cozy ambience. This has it all !!
I picked up a cake for my fathers birthday. Theyre pricey but worth every penny! The pastry is outstanding.
A must-see in Moncton! Probably the best value for money restaurant in town. The menu includes few dishes, but there is something for everyone. They are made with finesse, are delicious and a pleasure for the eyes! The atmosphere is relaxed, not very noisy, but not silent, so perfect for conversation. Try the chicken pot pie , the vol-au-vent of the day or the scallop pasta! I recommend that you try the pastries, pastries, croissants and breads, because after all it is also a bakery and a pastry shop! A pure guilty pleasure!
Really nice place. Excellent food, good service. Nice place to celebrate our 27th wedding anniversary!
Its the best in Moncton, See it to believe it .... Try to go on a Sunday morning, you will understand, what I am saying...
Food was awesome They dressed up my dessert b/c it was my Birthday. Really nice interior. Dont be fooled by the exterior. Good selection, I had a great soup and chicken pot pie. Excellent.
Great little place to eat. Very quaint
A charming café that serves breakfast and desserts. We ordered lattes, macarons, and desserts. The desserts were beautifully presented with a great selection. The interior of the café is in an old-style with stone walls and wooden tables. There are plenty of tables, and cozy spots by the windows. The only thing is, when you enter, if you want to sit at a table, you have to wait for the hostess to seat you. We didnt notice her, so we went straight to the desserts and bought coffee at the counter. They gave us everything to-go without clarifying where we would be eating. Since it was our first time there, it wasnt obvious. However, the waitress was very pleasant and helped us find a seat and explained how everything worked here. But I was a bit disappointed that we had to drink from disposable cups So, it would have been great if the staff at the counter asked, just in case, if its for here or to-go. For people like me, who tend to lose sight of everything when they see desserts. Overall, the place is excellent and cozy. There are even tables outside, but when we were there, no one was sitting there, even on a pleasant morning. I feel like the tables lack charm. They are black and resemble plastic. Black metal tables would fit perfectly with the theme of the establishment. We will definitely come again
Super disappointed with the service we received on Fathers Day during brunch. Our food took over an hour and a half to get to the table, then arrived cold. We sent it back and it arrived cold again. Pretty sure they took our plates to the kitchen, reheated our eggs and brought them back. The server explained that hollandaise sauce is supposed to be served cold...? Poor thing didnt seem to know very much about the menu, food or any sort of customer service standards. Half our table is gluten intolerant, but she brought croissants for everyone as an apology and 25% off the bill for food most of us didnt even bother eating. The pastries at the front are still amazing, but it seems expanding the restaurant has compromised the service quality.
Great place, great quality and very tasty
Great atmosphere and food is delicious!
Best almond croissants in Canada and this is not any exaggeration. Seating and vibe is 5 stars too , service as well . A must when you visit moncton
This is easily one of the best restaurants in a 100km radius. Amazing baked goods, desserts, and hot food too. If they had good lattes (they do not have good coffee) this place would be jam packed all day and night.
Excellent
Wow! What a wonderful little gem of a pâtisserie. Everything my family and I have tried so far has been amazing. From the buttery chocolate croissants to the delicious French macarons, every bite has been more than delicious. I will even dare to say the croissants are better than some I ve had in France. My mouth waters just thinking about their pastry menu! I have even incorporated a weekly visit to the bakery in our routine. Service has been wonderful during every visit. I especially enjoy being served by the lady with long blond hair. She s always so friendly! We are lucky to have such a wonderful bakery in the Moncton area.
Great place and nice pâtisserie !!!
The food never disappoints, some of the tastiest meals in Moncton,
Romantic setting, I got some decadent cake to take away for a special birthday treat. It was expensive but worth it
Service and breakfast was good Price not so good. Expensive for breakfast. GWG
Amazing every time. You must get the almond croissant!
My favorite place to buy all the cakes. Buying all birthdays and anniversary cake from here. Super delicious and my most favorite one is White Chocolate Rocher. The rates are higher but worth it to buy.
I really liked the lobster roll in the croissant
Great food!! A little noisey but only because they were very busy
The best desserts in Moncton! I have had a few meals in the restaurant as well, everything is always fresh and delicious, with great service. Great to see local businesses do well.
Pricey but delicious.
Good food...good service
September 17, 2023: The eggs Benedict was delicious; the brioche was light and perfect. Service was excellent. The mushrooms on toast was enjoyed, very much; the mushrooms were perfectly prepared. May2022: Great food, really enjoyed the Burger. Looking forward to grabbing some pastries sometime.
Unbelievable pastries and lunch spot!!! Had a beef dip here once!! It was the best one I have ever had!! Caesar salad is light & fresh!!! Had a burger here too! Fabulous!!! Almond croissants are to die for!!!
Always the best!
Always great food! One of our fave places.
Great service.
Good good good atmosphere good service
Great food and atmosphere... fantastic pastry & dessert selection
Deliciousness all around! Stopped in for fresh croissant, left with even more fresh baked goodies. 10/10
Hashbrowns/Potatoes are amazing. Bacon not too salty. Nice thick cut. Highly recommend the salmon eggs benny
Amazing Bread! Excellent Cookies.
Its one of my favourite places to eat. This time we just had dessert and I had my favourite the creme brulee. It was delicious .
We went here for lunch at 11:15am. By 12:05 the restaurant was full. The food was delicious as usual and we took some dessert home with us. We had smoked chicken sandwiches with Greek salad for lunch and an almond croissant for dessert. This is my favourite dessert here.
I love the food, the atmosphere and the DESSERTS! The menu varies and is always interesting and very gourmet. The French patisserie desserts are to die for, and the staff is always very nice.
1st review You can usually judge how good a restaurant is going to be by how busy it is. Well, that would make Tonys exceptional. Nice decor, great service, and good food make this the go-to place in Northeast Moncton. 2nd review Second time into Tonys to pick up a dissert for a friends dinner party. $35.00 pear (flan, Cake?) was beautiful to look at but fell well short on flavor and texture. Very dry and bland.
Love the food and service.
Tonys has the best patisserie in Moncton! They have freshly made treats that look exquisite and taste wonderful, I would highly recommend!
This place is off the charts, but the three types of croissants we tested inn take-out (plain, Almond, Chocolate) we so tough they hurt my jaw - couldnt even finish the Chocolatine it was so tough. We took a peacan pie and baguette home, so well see how they compare. Well go back for a proper meal though. The Quiche looks insanely good!
We had lunch here and we really enjoyed the food, the place and their delicious pastries, it is an excellent option to visit with someone special, the place is very cozy...the only detail is that apparently there is little staff and the waitress is very on the run
Good food. Desserts were good too.
Had americano and pastry which as always was delicious (Strawberry cheesecake)!
Everything that comes from this kitchen is incredible and delicious!
Great atmosphere, service and food! Definitely stopping in again when we are back in Moncton
10$ for Crème brûlée? The price was simply doubled from last time. Crazy.
Breakfast is so good!
A very nice place for brunch, the food was good and the service was great. They don t take reservations so you may have a wait if it is busy and on the weekends it is busy.
Lovely little spot for brunch & they have any type of dessert you can think of freshly made there too.
