Café Archibald in Moncton

Was asked if I was taking a coffee to go immediately, I asked if I could have it inside, wasn t a comfortable spot, don t recommend

One of the most amazing places to enjoy your coffee in Moncton, with the best staff and soo soo good food. Five star all the way! Can t go wrong went you go to Cafe Archibald on Mountain Road

Everything was decent, but latte was cold and servers did not check in on us. Wouldn t say the food or coffee was worth the cost. Sandwich was half a flatbread and the whipped cream was oily. Overall, I would try another place

Ordered an Iced Mocha, it was so terrible, that it was just black coffee, absolutely watery and tasteless, there was no cream or dairy in it and just topped it with whipping cream to make it look fancy, I would never return here and would never recommend anyone to go here either, and when I explained to the server who was also making the coffee, she said sorry we cant do anything about it, just returned me my drink as it is. Sorry, thats it. Ridiculous Id say. I felt sorry for having chosen to go here for a coffee. Never to return. :-)

Pleasant and smiling service. Go there to eat, not to taste because the cuisine is really not great.

Fun evening out with the girls, we were the only people in the restaurant. Food was excellent as always, had ordered tea with dessert which I never got; not charged for it, so no big deal. Crepes are always delicious, especially the dessert one. Parking: Parking at side and rear of building

My second time there and loved it just as much as the first time. First time, I had the Crepe Française which was delicious and today, I had the Greek Salad with grilled chicken. The dressing was light and tangy, just enough to satisfy. Prices are very reasonable. Will be back. I highly recommend.

Went not too long ago, the member of staff that served me was unfriendly and rude, didn t attempt to smile spoke in not so great tone. He told me it was his first day which I know to be a lie he s worked there for years. Food was not great I don t like to complain but if a customer hasn t done anything wrong and still tipped even after mediocre service try to be a bit nicer

Really loved their Nutella coffee. We tried the Cafe Archibald for the 1st time but feel like gonna be our go-to place for coffee now on. I wish they would have more flavors for coffee.

For 19$ this was a disappointment

Sadly I dont have a photo of the banana split crepe I had, there was ice cream topped on it and I knew I should eat it quick, and I did! It tasted heavenly and delightfully sweet. The ice cream was a smooth vanilla. Its just odd that the crepes square instead of triangular. The iced tea was a southern sweet tea, I assume, and it wasnt overpowering with its sweetness at all. The server was very polite and patient with me :) which I appreciate a lot since I was with someone that I didnt exactly like interacting with, lol.

Great food but service was a little slow at the end. It took forever to get our bill and we only saw our waitress once after our meal was brought, hence the 4 stars for service but everything else was great, even the prices!

Superb charming and charming little place! The food is exceptional and the staff smiling. A must stop if you re in the area! This is one of our favorite cafes. We love it!

Come over here for the cozy cafe atmosphere. This place is as close as you can get to a european ambiance in my opinion. Food is great. I had pancakes with salmon in 2018 and I still remember the experience)) Its also good to stop by just for a cup of coffee. For me the place is welcoming if the personnel are happy to serve you even if you are sitting with your coffee. There are miner details that can be improved, but overall it is a wonderful restaurant.

Our quiche Lorraine looked and tasted like it came out of the microwave, the potato s were soggy, the salad was small and didn t have a lot of veg just lettuce. The buckwheat crepe was okay but was room temperature and tastes like it had at under a heat lamp for a while as the edges were hard. Saving grace was the coffee was good and service friendly.

Where to start.... I KNOW!! Coffee. My wife, being lactose intolerant tries to avoid creamer or whipped cream on coffees or such drinks. She saw them bring me this wonderful Large mug of cafe mocha (honestly cant remember the name) with a nice large swirl of tasty whipped cream on top... She now takes these lactose pills before we go because the coffee was amazing. And Im not just referring to the one, we have tried all of them and they are all solid and do not disappoint. The food. We have gone quite a few times now. The wife loves the crepes, this is our go to brunch/ afternoon date stop because of those crepes. Personally I use to only have my crepes with some bacon and rolled like a burrito, the crepes here arent just your home made ones that are flappy and boring; lord no, they are perfectly filled and layed on your plate without being overwhelming or undeserving. I usually order off the cute little stand on the table that generally has different items every so often. Pretty sure its the special of the week or month, the broccoli soup I had a couple months back was amazing along with this very simple salad with what seemed to be a similar to thousand Island dressing but a touch different. The sandwich it came with- turkey with cranberry type of jelly was amazing (wife stole half). The service if great, they seem happy to serve you, they dont forget about you and very relaxed. Great atmosphere for dates! We have gone at least a half dozen times and still going back.

The coffee was incredible and the food was even better! The service was timely & friendly and the cafe was kept very clean and had great vibes! We had a wonderful experience here and will definitely be back!

good coffee, hot chocolate and crepes are amazing. 10/10 recommend for a chill place to study or date or have a study date. they also serve through skip the dishes if your staying indoors. in the warmer months they also have the patio open. Its a great place and their prices are great considering what they offer. Its no more than I would spend at McD, but with a much better vibe

If you want worst experience. This is the best place. no air conditioning and very conjusted. Not very good for dine in. I never tried any item because it was so hot in there. You cant even stand in there for a second. No chance Im ordering from there. Thanks

This beautiful Cafe was a wonderful experience. The pizza is different than anywhere else..very very thin crust. It is now my go to pizza in Moncton. It was scrumptious.

Great experience at Cafe Archibald. Bright and sunny interior. Atmosphere was pleasant; not too loud even though it was busy. We went for lunch; it was quite busy but we got seated in no time and were quickly served water and offered more drinks. Coffee/tea came almost immediately. Food was amazing - their butternut squash soup of the day in particular was phenomenal. Our waitress was very kind and pleasant.

Today was my first time coming here and I really enjoyed it. I had the most delicious, decadent mocha Ive ever tasted! It was to die for! The food was also super tasty and the server was very lovely. Will definitely be back!

Good place with great service, friendly stuff , Either you came to eat or just for a coffee. There is plenty of choices . Students friendly, you can find sector plugs to plug your laptop. And you don t need to worry about parking your car , they have a free parking for their clients.

Its not the cozy place I once remember. I spent a good part of my 20s sipping coffee and reading books in there. The paintings, the atmosphere, the beautiful dark wood on the walls ... all gone. White and sterile ith an IKEA theme. Menu has change, cant make your own crepe anymore even if they all have the ingredients to get the Mediterranean Crepe, they wont do it. Orange juice from a bottle where it was once fresh pressed. the little things that gave this place warmth has been replaced by a You sit, you eat, you go! Even the waiter didnt seem to like his job

The recent renovation are cute, plain and not too cluttered! The food and drinks are also nice, though I agree with the other comments there is always a little bit of an uncomfortable atmosphere there. It won t stop me from returning (as there are few places like this in Moncton) but should be noted.

You can always count on Cafe Archibald for great quality and delicious food and coffee! We love their crepes for meal or dessert (the brownie crepe is To Die For)!! Also, the Cafe Caramel is so good, covered in whipped cream! Yum! Also, the Mountain Road location has been recently renovated and looks so bright and fresh now. Great job!! We have enjoyed Cafe Archibald for years and look forward to visiting for years to come!

A fresh coat of paint gives this longstanding establishment a different vibe. The menu is quite reduced after covid restructuring, but the crepes are still DELISH.

They consistently forget items when I order and then refuse to do anything about it to correct their mistake when brought to their attention. The manager is useless and doesnt even apologize for missing items we paid for. Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice... never again!

Wow, first off amazballs coffee and they have gluten-free crepes savory and sweet..its been 15yrs since I have had crepes and it was just perfect! Staff was friendly, it is a beautiful old home that was turned in to a restaurant and just all around wonderful can not wait to go back even just for coffee!

Delicious crepes and cozy atmosphere

This place is so precious! The staff know the menu and products so well! My partner was helping fix my hair in the corner table we were sitting at and one of the staff noticed us, started giggling and told us how cute we were. It 100% made our day, we will be back to be cute and enjoy late breakfast here!

Really good food. Awesome ambiance for dates especially. My mother would take me here as a kid sometimes and I always felt so special. Food is usually pretty quick. Great selection of sweet and savory crepes (cookie dough crepe has always been my favourite!) And the chocolate milk hot chocolate is ultimate!

Came back to see if service had changed. Will wait a year now. Servers made us feel as if we were too much bother; no CS nor people skills whatsoever. Our server not even asked if my friend wanted to replaced one item after he said he didnt want it. Then he brought our food, but totally forgot the cutlery and drinks. I felt like being rushed out of an empty restaurant. Again, awful. Not coming back for a year. Who knows servers change for ones who actually care for customers.

Went there for brunch. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Although, service was slow, our Archibald casserole was dry, we were dissapointed because we waited so long before recieving it. As soon as we got our food, we saw a couple leaving because they were tired of waiting. There needs to be more staff. Two people isnt enough.

Location: About a 10-minute drive from the downtown core. I feel like Ive been saying that a lot lately, but Monctons not that big! We walked so I didnt notice if they have parking or not. The place: A cute little place thats got a coffee shop meets diner feel to it. The decor is a bit dated but we went for the food so, really, who cares? We got there around 8-8:30 so didnt have to wait for a table. The goods: I ordered a veggie omelette that came with potatoes, coffee and a side of sausage. This was a solid breakfast and the portion was pretty big. Great place to start the day. Service. Good. Our waitress was friendly and we never had to ask for a refill. Price point: About $15.

Although it looks cozy, the service was poor. It took 20 minutes for the server to take our order, the server then brought the wrong hot beverage (mocha instead of caramel latte). The server did not offer to remake it, but just said sorry. Then did not bring a appetizer that was ordered...

We went in and ordered a hot chocolate, Carmel Latte, two iced Carmel macchiatos, escargot and bruschetta. The waitress brought a mocha instead of the Carmel latte and said I was making a hot chocolate anyway so i made you a mocha too. The escargot never came and nothing was said about it. She clarified our order before she sent it and it was correct. It was also not a very inviting environment, the walls were crumbling and broken in places and the bathroom was dirty

You can t beat the great original menu and the prices are fair. The cafe however could use an update. It is on the verge of disrepair from the tables to the floor. Still a great spot for anything breakfast - supper
