Decided to stop in here for dinner as a family. We were not disappointed. The food was outstanding. The atmosphere was great, and the hostess was also friendly and courteous. We ordered the springrolls, gyoza, rice cake skewers, bulgogi bimibap, bulgogi kimbap, miso soup and seafood soup.

We consistently receive the most friendly service with a smile and the kitchen can be seen and heard, positive energy goes into the food each time, such a feel good place. This is my favourite Korean restaurant in Moncton. The food is delicious and the menu has a great selection. The servers are always kind and efficient. My favourite dish is the kimchi jiggae, but everything Ive tried is excellent!

The food was really good! Went with my boyfriend earlier and the atmosphere was lovely. The waiter is very kind and the cooks are clearly excellent at their jobs, because the food was delicious! I had some tea with my meal and I really enjoyed that too. Would highly recommend to people who enjoy corean food, and there are menu items to please everyone (if you like really spicy, the tteokbokki is for you!) Had dinner with a friend and was very impressed with the hospitality and quality of the food. Very authentic. Loved the home made kimchi! Don t be fooled by the strip mall exterior. It s another world when you walk in. Very zen and inviting. You will not be disappointed! Vegetarian options: Quite a few vegetarian options and more that are not on the menu of you ask to substitute the meats with vegetables or tofu.

Been here two times now. A bit of a rough restaurant location, but honestly the food is beyond delicious and worth the trouble. You can tell that the people who run it, love it. Even my picky husband loved the Budae jjigae. I had the Ttukbaegi Bulgogi, which had a very fresh, unique flavour with no shortage of meat. Even the fresh pickled veggies and kimchi they give each table was super yummy. You will not leave hungry, nor feeling like you didnt get your veggies in. Will be back for sure.

Try the so-dduk! Its skewers of fried rice cakes and hot dogs slathered in a korean sauce and its so tasty. Yum. We were brought some miso soup to start, which was good. We also tried the kimchi jeon. It was really tasty as well but I did find the dipping sauce to be a bit salty for my liking. For our mains we shared Yaki udon with seafood. Loved the sauce. I probably wouldnt pay extra for the seafood again. Lastly the spicy bulgogi. The meat was tender and everything was cooked very well. Our server was super attentive, checking in and always ensuring we had water, even though the restaurant was busy. I would recommend this place to anyone, and will be back soon.

What a beautiful, affordable restaurant!! The ambiance, service and food were all excellent. My friend and I loved our dishes: homemade Gyoza, Rice Cake skewers, Bulgogi Bibimbap and Ramen+Kimbap combo! A beautiful blend of savory, umami, spicy and sweet! Delicious!

Forgot to take pictures, but the service and the food was awesome. Had complimentary miso soup and pickles + a 3 pieces of rice cake. Took the jjigae, it was spicy, savory, hearty so as long as you can handle the spice, you will love it. Much recommended korean place!

Absolute delicious Korean food! Service is impeccable, I made an order by phone she said roughly 20 mins I get there in 5 mins and while waiting she brought me an app for free! It was not necessary at all but greatly appreciated. Its not the best location but dont let that scare you away its a must try!

To start, don t sleep on this gem of a restaurant in Moncton. I would be confident to say this is one of the best in the city - it s definitely the greatest Korean food I ve had in the maritimes and possibly, anywhere. Run by a husband and wife duo - this place has character and leaves an impression. The food is lovingly made from scratch and local ingredients and you can taste the difference. The service is fun - come with the expectation that the owner will interact with you and enjoy how much he loves his job and the experience he crafts with his partner through food. The beef bulgogi is always delicious and just warning you, you will have cravings for the bibimbap after trying it. It s just so good. Inside, this place is pretty simple. An open kitchen and classic decor. Don t be fooled by the outside, this is a special place and will easily become a favourite if you enjoy fresh, authentic Korean cuisine. Thank you, Isac - you ve given us many of our favourite meals out since moving from Toronto to NB.

Kind of a sketchy area of town im not gonna lie, but wow what a meal. I almost didnt go inside but my son beat me too it. The beef bulgogi was fantastic. The owner served us and was very assertive and helpful. The homemade sauce that came with the meal was amazing. I didnt want this meal to end. Dont let the interesting location fool you. It was an absolute crime that we were the only customers at 5pm on a Friday night. Come on Moncton support this guy. We all need to eat right? Sometimes we need to get off our wallets and support the little guy. Open since 2008. Isac..ill be back baby oh man ill be back soon!

First time here and the food was delicious. The owners have recently changed along with a menu update. We got the lunch bento and pork katsu. The pork katsu was one of the best we have had in moncton and they also gave us homemade pickles. Definitely recommend!

Im not gonna lie pretty sketch neighborhoods, so I didnt expect anything too much before I entered the restaurant, but as soon as I walked in, it totally changed my mind for sure. The space was remarkably clean and cute. As a Korean guy whos obsessed with Korean /Japanese food , it was amazing. We had spicy pork, spicy seafood yaki udon, and tonkotsu ramen. Pretty much all the dishes are under 20$. Great price, very generous portion, and all the staffs were super friendly. As it was mentioned in the other comment, the owner of the restaurant recently changed along the updated menus.I can confidently say that its the best Korean/Japanese cuisine you can find in Moncton for sure. I will definitely give it a 10/10, and we will definitely be coming back here really soon!!.

A very nice restaurant! The food is nice, services being amazing, the staffs are super polite, the area is clean and the atmosphere in the restaurant is comforting. Firstly you can have a free miso soup and their homemade pickles for appetisers even if you didn t order it, they just give it to you and the taste of those are absolutely delicious. Next, the price is overall reasonable for how good the food looks and taste- and the portions are reasonable for their price too. I highly recommend their rice cake if you re in the mood for something spicy and sweet. It is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside coated with Korean spicy sauce and it just tastes wonderful. The other food are nice too and they all taste really, really good. Not too salty or spiced, just the perfect amount of everything. Also, they have free vanilla ice cream which came to my surprise that it wasn t just plain vanilla ice cream but rather with a small Oreo cookie on top and chocolate drizzle. This is honestly one of the best restaurants I ve been to and I would recommend going to it! *ps, they also have wifi if you need it, the password is shown on the table somewhere! Besides, they also have something to teach you some Korean phases which is really interesting.

Loved the food & the warmth of the place. We even got free ice cream The owners were kind of enough to help us understand the lovely pieces of art that are placed in the restaurant. Do check out the art on the chalkboard in the corner. Even though the neighbourhood is sketchy we hope they remain safe & that their business flourishes & continues to grow.

I liked that the store was clean and spacious. There were cute props so I took a picture with my daughter. As I was doing this, a menu appeared and I ate it. Because it was a Korean restaurant, ordering was easy. The staff was friendly and I had a pleasant meal. Tteok Skewers Soonsak~~ Be sure to try it I highly recommend the chicken skewer gangjeong^^. Takoyaki octopus is plump and delicious. Ramen feels like traditional Japanese ramen The Nagasaki Jjambong was good because the soup was spicy. Parking: Space right next to the store

Highly recommend! The food and service was excellent. We were visiting Moncton and were looking for a place to have supper on Thursday evening. We were greeted by a very friendly and attentive waiter. We ordered the potato/cheese pancakes for an appetizer. For our main meals, my husband ordered the tonkatsu and I had the beef bulgogi. All were delicious! The meals were served with miso soup and complementary pickles, which were also excellent. We will be back for sure!

This place is a whole wonderful experience. I had the beef lunch box and it was exquisitely prepared. Super-pure miso soup, sweet-nuanced pickled side dish, freshly fried dumpling and roll, a crispy potato pancake. And the beef was perfect and tender. Bravo!

Dropped by Isac for lunch...again...but noticed the ownership had changed. The former owner performed everything for the customer and remembered most (...if not all) people that came through the door. From teaching customers how to use chop-sticks to his light banter and beaded curtain entering the restaurant, it was always an experience stopping by for lunch. His BimBap sauce was fantastic (which I frequently purchased some take-home bottles) and your Lindt chocolate on the way out the door was a great way to wrap up an amazing Korean meal. The new owners have changed things up some...yet the level of service continues to be high. What has changed from the 1-person show (with a cook) is now a team providing great service and serving up great Korean food. Id continue to recommend Isac as a destination for lunch and hope to return again.

Great spots for family dinner

Used to be great, but now its just good. I believe the restaurant was sold to a new owner some time ago, and some of the signature dishes that made this place the hidden gem that it was (eg.: the hwae-dub-bap) are no longer on the menu. In particular, the sauce recipe appears to have changed. The sauce used to be mouth-wateringly world class, but now its merely good. Comparable to any other decent Korean restaurant. While the food and the people have changed, the service remains excellent.

My lord people here dont know good food. Every place we have tried so far based on reviews or referrals has not been good. Tough meat,, awful kimchi, dry dumplings, high prices, and lettuce doesnt belong.

The bul-go-gi is a must. It so tasty that I take it every time. I have tried other bul-go-gis in other restaurants and they were not as good as this one. Try Isacs for a 4-star meal. You will not be disappointed.

I got recommended this restaurant by a friend so when I was at the bike shop in the area, I decided to give it a try. The food was really good and tasty. The owner is so friendly. He let me take my bike inside the restaurant and when he saw that I was cold, he took a heater out and put it near my seat. He gave me a newspaper but I don t want to read and he saw that I was on the phone so he gave me a WiFi password. That s first class customer service. Definitely come back.

Very good vegan dumplings..

We were very hungry and across the street from this restaurant, so we decided to try it. The outside of the restaurant is nothing compared to the little gem inside. The owner immediately came to our table to get our order. He was very bossy in a kinda funny and charismatic way, telling us what we should order in broken English, same with our beer. After 10-15 min the meal came and it was absolutely delicious, we loved the place. Will be coming back soon!!
