Isabelle was our waitress and she was exceptional at her job. She made recommendations on hot sauces, and explained how each tasted. She was lovely to chat with and didnt interrupt us when our mouths were full - haha. She was also able to give us a great recommendation for weekend activities. The Mango Chili Margaritas are amazing! I had the taco bowl, and unlike most places, it wasnt just filled with iceberg lettuce. There was an actual salad with lettuce, red cabbage, broccoli, peppers and tomatos, topped with Chicken verde. It was delicious! Everything tasted fresh and was presented well. I will definitely return.

I placed an online order through Skip The Dishes. They now short change their customer s because of the 17 percent that Skip charges. You will not get the quality that you expect because they no longer will include the chips and salsa. You pay a high price and do not get what you expect. Don t order takeout because you will get less than expected. I will never order take-out again from this restaurant! Unbelievable that they actually give a customer less because of the way that they ordered. As a customer you don t want to be told that it is because of the way that you ordered it. Buyer beware!

Excellent meal! The drinks are just wow and the service impeccable

The meal was very good but was spoiled by the presence of a group of young people (baseball team perhaps) with their parents. These were very noisy. Although the parents should have had more common sense with the behaviors, the restaurant management could have tried to improve the situation. We communicated this with the service without consequences. We came with another couple but unable to have conversations we left without dessert or coffee.

Loved the food, the ambience and the service.

We only went there to eat dessert! My favorite is the fried ice cream with caramel! Its simply delicious!!! I recommend it to you!

Food

I ordered the lunch version of the Mexican flag enchiladas (two enchiladas vs three in the dinner version). All the flavors were there, but the spices were dialed down for the typical Maritime palate. Other than not being nearly spicy enough for my preference, it was quite good. The only real problem I had was with the acoustics of the room; even with only ten people (we got there just as they opened), a normal conversation with indoor voices echoed so much that it was deafening. The people I was with didnt seem to notice so unless you already have difficulty following conversations in loud places, youll probably be fine.

Friendly staff, beautiful restaurant, and patio. Rail on patio is a little high ( eye level) looking toward the roadway. Margaritas were fantastic. Free Nacho chips and salsa served with our drinks. Was a very nice experience.

Ordinary food Ordinary service!! I order a side of loaded fries and the waitress got me a full portion I had to pay $20 for the fries instead of $5. There was a 30% discount on drinks which we were not made aware of before ordering and had to pay the full price. The Corns we ordered were bland without any seasoning. Overall a very average experience.

This place has gone so downhill over the years. Food is mediocre. Everything is an upcharge. Want salsa, it is extra. Want rice, its extra. Nachos are pretty much naked. Honestly the only thing that was good was the service. The serving staff should find a better place to work though as they are stuck selling and servicing a substandard product. I will not be back. There are too many good options on Main Street to settle for this.

Easily some of the worst food in town. This is a Mexican restaurant and their nachos are straight up gross! Wait staff is some of the best in the city, though! Go figure.

Great service. I had the nachos. Very good. Good portion.

We had a group of 7. We had to remind the server about several different items we had ordered and hadnt received, And a complete meal came out wrong but we just rolled with it at that point. He was definitely a nice person but chatted a lot and didnt obviously retain much of our orders.

Had honey avocado shrimp quesadilla, pessacdo taco, and carne taco. Recommend quesadilla

I had the queso and frozen margarita and both were really good. I ordered a taco salad as well but maybe this wasn t what I was expecting and didn t care for the meat portion, the veggies were fresh though. I would have the queso anytime though.

Love Mexis and go whenever we are in Moncton. Really miss the Fredericton location where we were weekly regulars.

Saddest takeout I ve ever seen. Blandest, soggiest nachos. No taste to the Quesadillas. Dry rice. And for whatever reason there was cabbage with the garlic bread . May as well be the McDonalds of Mexican restaurants.

Went there multiple times and always great service & delicious food . Lot of choices.

We go to mexis every single time we are in Moncton. The meals change a little bit the dessert is alway deep fried ice cream. No other Deep fried Ice cream compares

Nice quiet little spot in the heart of downtown Moncton. Prices are slightly a bit high depending on what you order. Food is good and the restaurant atmosphere is relaxing and pleasant. Would definitely return.

Visited March 4, 2023 Tried the Mexican Flag Enchiladas which were great very flavourful. Also tried the carne assada tacos which were not that good and underwhelming in taste. Their Ernies drip cocktail is fantastic and I would recommend it. Service is okay & overall a good restaurant.

What happened? Ive been going here since the place opened ages ago. I always loved it. My usual go-to place. The food and service had always been great but things have been going down hill since the place re-opened after covid hit. While they do keep their restaurant looking great with lots of renovations and awesome style, the prices has taken a huge hit. I used to get a nacho here pre-covid for maybe 16-17$ max (13$ when they had the once a week special) and it used to be a huge portion with lots of layers. The last two times I ordered out has been a joke. Theres maybe 15-20 chips, no usual layers or big portions (we use to share one me and my boyfriend) and the price is now 27.99$!!!! Same goes for their pitchers of sangria. They use to be huge but now have maybe 2 1/2 drinks in it. I understand that things have gone up in price because of how the world is currently but if you up your price, dont change the way the quality/quantity of food? Its a huge bummer and I wont be going here anymore.

Weak customer service. No water, no napkins, no plates with nachos or chips. Waiter kept looking away when we tried to make contact. 2 stars because at least the washroom was clean.

We had been seated once. Not busy. Waited 20mins. 4 servers walked by and avoided our table. There were 2 of us. We left and came back, asked if we could order. Said he would send a server out. Waited another 10mins with servers openly saying they didn t want to serve us!! So. We left again! Sad.

Excellent food, good service. Would be nice to have bigger table outside. (Family of 5) Kid-friendliness: Generous portion and server listen to specific needs from picky customer (still speaking about the kids)

We loved it, the vibe downtown, the food. It was our first family restaurant meal in Moncton on our 2nd day in the city.

The margarita seems to be made out of a can.

I work in the service industry so trust me I get it it can get busy and stressful. But the service was awful. A blonde girl in braids served us (didn t get the name so that s all you re getting), was very slow to serve us, wasn t friendly, seemed bothered by us being there. At the end of our meal it took much too long to get our bill. When we decided not to tip, we were MADE FUN OF on the way out (you weren t whispering very quietly hun). Very disappointing. Staff needs training. Great food HORRIBLE service.

I love going to Mexis. The food is healthy and delicious. The service is friendly and quick. The atmosphere is great with lots of interesting paintings and decor. My favorite meal is the chicken fajitas, which are very shareable!

I was visiting Moncton from Montreal and I ordered the texan chili. That came straight from the microwave and the beef tasted like it has been reheated many times. Service is great but the food is meh

Love the rice and beans here with any of their plate. Fish tacos, Chipotle Nacho, Number 18, Enchiladas, Burritos, over the years I tried almost everything on their menu and its all delicious - everytime. They offer GF options but make sure to ask and clarify what is, espicially for sauces. Having the menu labeled with what is GF would be a really nice addition for poeple with gluten intolerance/celiac.

Since they redid the menu the food and drinks are amazing. The staff is friendly and helpfull. I always have a great time at Mexis. They have the perfect ambiance for a nice night out! Honestly in the summer best patio in town

Solid tex mex establishment. Not what I would define as authentic Mexican, but very decent fair. Unlike some reviews found prices very reasonable for the quality and food you receive. Nice patio and staff super attentive and friendly!

Took over 30 mins to put together a take our order or salsa and chips.. nothing too difficult, but orders placed for takeout while there were prepared and ready before this order was completed. This review is being typed while in the restaurant still waiting for our order .

Not into spicy food but my wife, Pat, has wanted to go here for some time. Was going to go for chili but not into hot nor veggie chili (only options I saw). So happy when I saw chicken Ceasar salad on menu. Pat went with the shrimp Fajitas. Premeal we were given a hearty plate of nacho chips with sauce to share. Pat enjoyed their sauce mix while I steered clear. She even stated, my mouth is burning. Orange juice couldnt come to soon for her. I totally enjoyed my meal. Only suggestion, use hickory sticks instead of dried bread croutons (try it). Pat liked her meal but was disappointed that the cast frying pan didnt come out sizzling hot like shes used to seeing/hearing. Her food was luke warm. Too few cheese with an abundance of cabbage. I subtract no points for her meal results since Im reviewing what I received. Wr both enjoyed sitting outside on their front balcony under the protection of their umbrella from the burning sun. Expect typical street noises when sitting street side. Nice bricked artwork just across the street from this place. Using their bathroom I could not but help admiring the many paintings adorning their walls as i passed through their dining area. Even the bathroom had an artistic quality to it. Looking at a particular set of tiles i thought it funny what a couple well placed dots can do. I asked if I could take pictures of their walls and was told, no problem. I did not disturb any quests as my attached pictures testify. Being treated to tic-tacs after meal was nice touch.

Good address, pleasant waitress and generous portions. The well-decorated interior makes you want to come back in the evening to have a drink and enjoy the place. Downside for the salad which is from the iceberg. Not very tasty but depends on tastes and colors :)

Poor service. We went for dinner with a kid. The staff didn t even ask for a glass of water until we asked them after 15-20 mins and they also took 1 hour to serve us the food. Staff did t bother to offer a kid menu and stuff to engage the kid but It was served on other tables. We were there on Sunday, August 7. The location was 683 Main street, Moncton, NB. We went there for a trip and after tiring day we were so excited to have our food but all of us were disappointed!

Moncton Main St location: Mediocre atmosphere and food. The staff was attentive and the food came quick. Their nachos used to be so good. Now they are just a soggy mess after a few minutes. Their tacos are bland and the rice tastes like Uncle Bens microwavable rice. Probably wont spend another cent here.

Portion is sizable and of good quality. Theres a house made jalapeño relish that just hits the spot, it went very well with the complimentary tortilla chips. Great service and vibe, will be recommending to friends.

Great staff, super friendly right out the gate, we were seated and served promptly by our server. The food portions were great, my friend had one of the burrito bowls which was massive, I had the single order of chicken fajitas. It seemed like the veggies were a little undercooked, the onions felt almost a little raw, and while there was a great portion of that it seemed like the meat was lacking given it was 8oz. Instead of some nicely grilled chicken breast it seemed a little more on the microwaved side of things, and the chicken chunks were more like something youd get at Subway sandwiches. Not the best, but not inedible. The avocado bites were different, and yummy, good portion of those for the cost. Was it the best Mexican food Ive had? of course not. But the staff were friendly, prompt and efficient and I have to shout them out for that.

Great food and atmosphere, it feels very authentic while simultaneously having a modern. Nachos and quesadilla are delicious, great location in the center of Moncton.

We had a great night, meal was great (got a Nacho myself), portion size was good, price was not bad, good atmosphere, our serving person was friendly. No negatives that I can think of.

Ate here while passing through Moncton. The quesadilla was nothing new but tasted good. Service was really nice! I d recommend if you re looking for Mexican food in the area
