Gallagher's Irish Pub in Moncton

Beautiful architecture and styling in this old building makes for a great atmosphere. Great service and plenty of drink and food choices, though I played it safe and got the fish and chips which was good.

Stopped in for a pint on a Tuesday night, seemed like the only place in Moncton with something happening. Friendly pub, live music, nice atmosphere.

I visited on a Sunday and from 4pm until 7pm there was a group of approx 10-12 musicians playing east coast music. It was brilliant. Great food, great Guinness.

Went for drinks on a Friday night. Had some live music and the place was pretty full. Decent selection of beer on tap and a menu for drinks as well. Despite it being busy our server made us feel taken care of.

Excellent tip of the hat to the Blarney. Good food and excellent service. Prices are very reasonable too. Excellent staff always willing to point out options you may have missed too! As the sign in their patio says, Pubs, Irish sunscreen.

Good food and beer. Was right across the street from our hotel which was in the downtown area. Sidewalk seating was nice but traffic was a bit noisy at times. Otherwise everything was great and we will definitely return. Kid-friendliness: Kids menu.

Outstanding, always have good meals at Halifax Old Triangle wasnt sure what to expect in Moncton. Well we were pleasantly surprised to have a wonderful meal. I had the Dublin Pasty and homemade soup my wife had Pan Fried Haddock,food was outstand, the staff we had were great, friendly, funny and just made a great meal even better.

A terrific, family-friendly Irish pub with great music, outstanding fish & chips (props also to the beef stew with distinctly soda-forward soda bread), and a welcoming atmosphere. Love the stained glass elements.

Great music and ambiance. The service is also very warm. The food, however, is not as good as elsewhere. Its rather bland, the nachos are not very garnished, the coleslaw doesnt taste much except vinegar, but I would go back for the atmosphere!

Had a lovely time Saturday night in June 2024, service was spectacular, they had live music and drinks were cheap. What more could anybody ask for??

If you want to have a good time here, the first step is to make sure youre white, otherwise expect to have your bill brought to you the minute you finish your meal (without asking) and get overcharged when you go to pay - Very sneaky about it too, but Ive been alive long enough to recognize polite racism . Go over your bill carefully if youre a visible minority ! I could tell that the attitude in Moncton changed severely vs 5 years ago - blatant racism everywhere in the city, so Id suggest maybe businesses (like this one) just add a Whites only sign outside, avoid interactions with us coloured people completely and well all be better off.

Loud, the push drinks on you and the food was meadaocre.

Food was excellent, and the service was exceptional. Fun place and was a great addition to our Irish pub themed restaurants.

Great environment and you have to try the curry fries

Stopped in for a drink and sat on the patio, lovely vibe, nice seating area. The owner was really attentive when no server had come to take our order, he went inside to call someone out. Ordered the soup, it was ok but pricey at $9 for a sm cup. No napkins, no knife for the butter that came with the biscuit. Servers were pleasant but some basics like napkins and utensils shouldnt need to be requested.

Worth a visit, if you are a touriat in Muncton. Very authentic Irish vibes

Love live music on Wednesdays. The house dark red ale was exactly my first choice but was delicious. They took great care of us. House red hummus was exquisite. Vegetarian options: Loved the hummus. The only time I had better was when we made it from scratch at home.

I ordered the soup & salad lunch special. The soup was tomato basil and tasted like watered down canned spaghetti sauce. The roasted squash and beet salad was decent, but an extremely small portion. I could not stomach the soup and only took 2 spoonfuls. The waitress Melissa acknowledged that I did not like the soup, and simply apologized while charging full price. $18.02 for a side salad and a root beer. Vegetarians do not eat here.

incredebly friendly staff, great food, and overall amazing ambiance with live folkloric music. Visited it several times. The pan fried haddock was the best thing i tried there and also enjoyed the curry chicken on fries. I didnt like the burger as much.

Always a good time and good food. Definitely has the Irish vibe with a variety of young and old patrons, lots of Ireland picture and ads & Irish beers of course.

I recently went out for supper with a large group (8 people) and we did not have the foresight to make a reservation. We were seated very quickly considering how jam packed this restaurant was & how large out group was. After receiving our menus our orders were taken and we enjoyed the live music. They really need to hire a few more wait staff on, this place was PACKED and there were far too few people working so excellent work for the fee that were on. I ordered the Burger Fest burger which was quite good, albeit a bit dry. Fries were good and the two beer I had were cold and quick to arrive. I would recommend the Old Triangle to anyone, just dont be in a hurry.

Sunday 5 to 7 with music are really fun. Excellent musicians, very good service and their #burgerfest hamburger is delicious, as is the chocolate brownie!

Visited the Old Triangle for the first time during Burger Fest 2024. Arrived around 1:30 pm on a Sunday afternoon, fairly busy with a few families, a nice atmosphere. We were greeted right away, all staff were friendly, and very attentive. I tried the Burger Fest burger, it was good, meat was a little dry. I do recognize that the feature burger for the 2 week festival is not necessarily an indication of their typical food quality. My friend got the bacon and eggs brunch, he said it was excellent. I will be back again to order something from their regular menu. I would recommend trying the Old Triangle!

An wonderful place to have a meal! The food was amazing, and so was the service. A group of 12 of us went to celebrate my freinds birthday (reservation required) We ordered some delicious appetizers ( I ordered muscles and wings) we were given plenty of time before or mains were delivered and all of our food was delivered at the same time piping hot, and at the same time. The wifes meatloaf was heavenly and I really enjoyed my medium rare steak with Ceaser salad. We stayed for hours and had drinks while a live band played. The server was never far away and was always ready with another drink or anything else we needed. They also let us bring our own cake. So we gave the staff the leftovers. I would highly recomend a visit...you wont be disappointed..I promise!

Best pub in town. Irish meatballs were incredible and the wings with Jameson s BBQ sauce were the best wings I have had and trust me, I have had a lot of wings. Lots of Irish beers on tap as well Craft beers and all the local favourites. Staff is friendly and funny. My glass never went dry.

Food & beer are very good. Music on Friday nights though is DEAFENING. Even in the back room far from the stage you have to shout to be heard. We would come more often if they dialled it back a bit. As it is we usually only visit 1-2 times per year. We always leave once the band comes on as it simply ends all conversation.

Went to old triangle tonight. Sarah was our waitress and highly recommended the steak. And May I just say, she was spot on! The kitchen staff got our food out in a timely matter! Plus there was live music! Will definitely go back

Used to be our go to place in Moncton for food, drink and fun. We went there on Tues night and found a table for 4 of us but no wait staff came over. Two of us went to the bar and the bartender ignored us on purpose. It was so obvious. It was very bizarre. We left and went to the furnace room which as packed and a great atmosphere. We will not be back to a place that obviously doesn t need our business

I just paid $18.75 for 7 wings. They were decent wings. Server was great. Only issue was portion. I wish I had taken a picture when they arrived, however I thought that there must have been a miscommunication and I had ordered a half pound. The bill said different. I understand food costs, Im chief cook on a ship that spends 7wks in the arctic, I order a lot of food. However, this is ridiculous. Not pleased. Do not recommend.

Food was delicious. Guinness had a little bit too much head, too many bubbles in the head, temp was a bit too cold, head stick to the glass was lacking, small dome. Glass was nice and clean though. 7.1/10

Absolutely amazing. We ate there twice in 3 days as a group of 18 and everyone loved it. Not a single complaint about anything. Andrew, our waiter was lovely, kind, funny, attentive and just overall great. I highly suggest the pasty and the Guinness burger. Kid-friendliness: We were a group of 13 youth and 5 adults and everyone was super happy. Lots of options for picky kids on a budget.

Great place for a bite and drink. Lovely Irish pub decor and music. Their playlist even included Raglan Road, an awesome East Coast band. Friendly and efficient service from our server, Carly, who shouldve been wearing a superhero cape the way she was zooming back and forth. This will be a must-visit the next time Im in town!

Large, open concept, Irish themed pub. I went in for the daily lunch special. Though I am a Moncton native, Ive never visited this place despite the numerous positive word of mouth reviews Ive got from family and friends. I visited around 13:30. It wasnt notably busy with only a few patrons scattered amongst their large floor plan. The restaurant is thematically decorated and appeared very well kept and clean. There is ample amounts of lighting that provide good visibility and a warm, welcoming ambiance. I was greeted by a charming hostess named Carly, who allowed me to choose my desired seating area. I was promptly provided with water as requested and ordered a BLT with fries from their daily special menu. For something so simple, it was perfectly executed. The BLT had ample amounts of bacon, rich and flavourful garlic mayonnaise, freshly cut tomato slices, and it was served on a delicious locally made toasted sour dough bread. The sandwich was served with a beef based gravy, which had a slight taste of ale to it and was flavourful. The only letdown was the Cavendish frozen fries. Though they were perfectly cooked and pleasantly crispy, a homestyle restaurant cut fry would have been more appropriate given the setting. Fries aside, the service was beyond amazing, the food was delicious, and the ambiance was warm and welcoming. I absolutely intend to visit this location again and would recommend it to anyone.
