Dropped in at 4pm to get some prime rib. Only 3 small ones left. Last time we went, there was none left.

I've been going to the Chris Rock Tavern on and off for decades. I went for brunch on Sunday and had one of the most ridiculous, absurd food experiences I've ever had. I'll still go back, I'll just make sure I don't get the same server. So I went for brunch with my mother and ordered Jack's Big Boy Breakfast. 3 eggs and a choice of 3 of 4 meats. Bacon, sausage, ham, Bologna. I don't like ham or sausage, and 100% of the time just get extra bologna. Nope. Not with the server I had. In order to get no sausage or ham and just get extra bacon or Bologna, it was going to cost $4 extra. What? I was told in no uncertain terms that I had to choose 3 different meats, not two, not one. Three. If I did not, that was a substitution and that was going to cost $2. Then, because I wanted only bologna, it was going to cost me another $2, because it's a substitution. I repeated my understanding to the server who confirmed everything. So I just took the sausage because I wasn't going to ruin brunch with my mother, but I'm pretty sure this person isn't cut out for serving. If changing meat or not taking meat are substitutions, what about how I want my eggs or my choice of toast? Is cracking the egg not modifying the egg? Is there a default setting for eggs? What kind of toast? I don't know, what is the least modified form? Will there be more surprise fees? Cream and sugar in my coffee...that's another modification. So confusing. Why am I putting this in a review? Because it's ridiculous. Hopefully management/ownership will read it and have a talk with someone. It's the first time I've ever encountered that kind of rigidity at the ChrisRock or any place that serves food.
Oldest Tavern in New Brunswick. Very much live most of the days I visited. Love drinks and food. Really affordable price range. Good place to play. Very friendly service
Nice atmosphere and cheap beer. Pool and shuffle board games are free and everyone seems very happy. Guess that's why it's been running for so long.
Seems like if you are not a Regular . They tend to ignore you. Food

We popped in during our travel. Not much from outside, but inside in great, food was great with good serving sizes and good prices. And the staff are all really nice.

I have had their Flip Festival Competition Burger 4 years in a row. The Chris Rocks burgers have placed in my top 5 Festival Burgers every year! This spot is worth a try and Ill maybe see ya there, because, just like Arnold, Ill be back. Great Kitchen! Great Staff! Great Prices!
Went there for the first time for Burger Fest. The place was busy, I mean extremely busy but the service was excellent, the food was amazing. The best part was the prices. Very affordable prices for on tap or bottle drinks. They keep you filled, and check up as often as they can. Especially for a busy spot like that.

Food can sometimes be hit or miss but usually pretty good. Get the wings non breaded, crispy and saucy. Breakfast is usually good here.

Best prime rib in town! Cooked to perfection! Only rule is you got to get there early on Fridays they start at noon and if you come after 4pm good luck! A real staple if you come to Moncton on a Friday, or any day for that matter...

Went for wing night and I was blown away by the service and food quality. I ordered the hottest wings and boy oh boy they were hot melt your face off hot. I will be back.

very beautiful tavern which has kept its character. We were looking for a good fish & ship, we were not disappointed.
Went for our first time around lunch, wasnt impressed with the food; cheeseburger and fries and chicken burger with poutine. Cheeseburger wasnt juicy and tasted blah. Fries where very greasy. Chicken burger was juicy but the bread wasnt crunchy, more soggy and the poutine had way to much gravy that the fries were mushy. Service was good, but employee was very overwhelmed and mentioned they didnt have a chance to eat during their shift and felt dizzy- not okay! Atmosphere was ok except there was a group of guys that had to yell at eachother everytime they spoke, not to mention they stunk like weed from smoking in the parking lot, which we had to walk past them when we entered. The location in general sucks, with the homeless and addicts that walk around - not a safe feeling. Kid-friendliness: No

Ordered a couple burgers and fries... Absolutely delicious! Best fries in Moncton as well! Everything was cooked to perfection!! We will be back for sure!!! Staff were extremely friendly too! Shout out to the staff at Chris Rocks... You guys are killing it!

The atmosphere was good and the staff was friendly. The servers made sure to check to see if you were good and if our meal was ok. The food it self is ok. I had one their specails on Friday where it was buger and smoked meat and found ok. My family member had the prime rib there and just loved it as it melted in their mouth. I know for sure I am going back again to give that prime rib a try. XD Updated: when back and servers where still poliet and food was still as good. I deffently reccommend eating here.

I came after reading the reviews and thought this sounds too good to be true. But it wasnt! I had the fish and chips because the waiter mentioned is was on special. It was amazing, the best fish and chips Ive had in a long time and I was born and raised in Halifax, NS where we know real fish and chips and Ive had them back home and in London England, and Lisbon, Portugal. It was just as good here except everywhere else it would cost you twice the price. And the service was amazing

Great spot and big food portions
Restaurant in a very pleasant tavern, a large choice of dishes with meat or fish accompanied by fries or salad (additional charge). We got it for $17 per person for one dish per person, one beer and taxes. I especially recommend the fish and chips which were very good, the meat was a little less so and the hamburgers were in sandwich bread.

I was told a couple of times that I wasnt allowed in. I was never given a reason why I simply assumed it was likely because I came through the shelters parking lot but I cannot say for sure. Other times I very much enjoyed their food + the atmosphere is super chill!

Wow, the food was exceptionally delicious. The area is questionable, but the overall experience trumps every lesser detail. Parking: Theres about 30 good parking spots before it begins to feel crammed. Kid-friendliness: Its best if children did not partake in this environment.

Best Tavern and Pub Food in Moncton
Jack was working, so bonus points there. Hadnt been here in a while, almost a year ago maybe. The Moosehead Pale on tap was as good as my first one in 1997. Theres a reason why its the longest running tavern in New Brunswick.
Great spot, prime rib roast special is wonderful
While everyone may have their opinion, I found it great! There was a Pub Crawl group there, friendly staff, a couple beers that my buddy & I had, a pool table and a washer toss board, which I was victorious in. I will definitely go back again!

The Friday prime rib special ( after 5) is superb. So tender and juicy, with mashed potatoes and gravy. Free parking off the street. Highly recommend this special. The oldest tavern in New Brunswick.
