Kelseys Original Roadhouse in Moncton

It s the season to be jolly, we dine at Kelseys and the ambiance is holidays feels, their christmas decorations are so nice and while listening to christmas songs. The food is also delicious though we just waited for a little time for it. We order steaks, ribs and cajun. There were promotions on their menu, in specific days and also lots of discounted items. Definitely we will go back.

We had a large table of 17 but somehow our drinks and food were quick and tasty even though our server had her hands full. She was really good and had all of our orders correct. Atmosphere was comfortable and cozy on that rainy evening and there was even live music which was really nice. I had the Striploin which was cooked perfectly the way I asked and my wife had the bacon bourbon bbq burger which she loved as well. First time weve gone there and well be back!

I had the pleasure of having Nadia as a server the other night she was so amazing and went above and beyond she was so attentive and made sure we had everything we needed ... I had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and it was phenomenal I will definitely be back and props to Nadia !!

My Second Visit at Kelsey s Left Much to Be Desired Unfortunately, my recent experience at Kelsey s was disappointing from start to finish. I ordered the country-fried chicken, a dish featuring a breaded chicken fillet with gravy on mashed potatoes, plus a side. We waited about 15 minutes before our server arrived, and though she apologized, explaining she hadn t realized we were waiting, it felt like an unusually long delay. When our food arrived, the gravy on my chicken was overwhelmingly salty almost as if I had taken a spoonful of pure salt. I m not sensitive to salt, and I enjoy well-seasoned food, but this was excessive. Despite only managing a single bite, I had difficulty swallowing because of the saltiness. The build your own burger my friend had was good, she claims. When I asked to have it adjusted, a different server came over, explaining that our server was occupied, and later, yet another server came to clear our plates. This rotation was confusing, making it unclear who we should address for assistance. Another dish at our table, the poutine side, was equally over-salted and barely edible. What ultimately led me to rate this experience so poorly was the lack of accountability and empathy for the issues we encountered. Overall, we interacted with multiple servers, making it difficult to establish a point of contact. When I raised the salt issue, I was told I was simply sensitive to salt, although another server later admitted that it s often reported as overly salty. Not only was there no apology, but no gesture small or otherwise was offered to make up for the poor experience. In the end, I was left with a meal I couldn t enjoy and someone eating by themselves due to the delay in making another.. never again!

The service and food were Excellent!

I don t usually post reviews, but I ve visited this restaurant twice now, and both experiences have been disappointing. During my first visit, service was slow, and the food was not particularly impressive. However, I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt, as they were very busy at the time. Tonight, though, things were even worse. When we arrived, we were seated at a table covered in sauce and had to ask the waiter to clean it. Service was extremely slow again, with nearly an hour passing before our food finally arrived. Unfortunately, the quality did not make up for the wait. I ordered the ribs and wings combo, but both were lackluster. The wings, in particular, were some of the worst I ve ever had served cold, which didn t help. The ribs weren t much better; frankly, you d get a similar experience with a pre-seasoned rack from the grocery store. My girlfriend ordered the Swiss Steak and Bacon, and it was so cold we wondered if it had been pre-made and stored in the fridge. Overall, this was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I ve had.

Service was great food was excellent group of 6 all different meals. All agreed 5 star.

We came to dinner at Kelseys, there were quite a lot of people, we were seated at a table, I tried to call the waiter but each of them ignored us, the pictures on the menu were very different from what we were brought, my husband ordered Beef blue Pasta, the menu had 6 pieces of meat, they brought us 3 pieces and two of them were raw, it was impossible to eat, and only one piece of meat was fried, I ordered a Caesar salad and received only lettuce leaves and mayonnaise, I have never written bad reviews but my impressions were terrible, I asked for a glass of water twice and no one brought it to me, in the end we just left without waiting for our water, the service was not the best, several servers came and I did not understand who to contact, we will not return

Wings way over cooked that i order .Sent them back the second order was over cooked more than the first. My wife order the lunch trio Alfredo pasta Cesar salad and garlic toast.Alfredo looked like a lean cuisine that some one nuked and put on the plate .But way to dry no sauce on it.Just plain terrible food.Will not return

My recent dining experience at Kelseys was truly exceptional, thanks to our waitress, Anik. From the moment we were seated, she greeted us with a warm, genuine smile and made us feel right at home. Anik was incredibly attentive throughout the entire meal, ensuring that our drinks were always full and that we had everything we needed without ever being intrusive. She was also fantastic with the children in our group, engaging with them in such a friendly and patient manner that made them feel special. Her professionalism, combined with a friendly and upbeat attitude, made the evening special. She even offered thoughtful menu suggestions that were spot-on. If you have the pleasure of being served by Anik, youre in for an outstanding dining experience! If you re craving burgers, so Kelseys is the place to go for!!! Best in town !!

Had the lunch trio...soup, Caesar salad, and garlic bread. Soup was awesome however the salad dressing was a little underwhelming but good. Not a regular here so not sure if its a one-of or a regular thing

Maclean was an absolutely fantastic server! My husband and I went out for our anniversary tonight and we had Maclean as our server. He was friendly, so attentive, and only added to our positive experience! 10/10! Food : 5/5

Our kids organized a surprise 40th anniversary party for us on Sunday September 1st, 2024 at noon. Our server was Britney . She was absolutely amazing! We were a large group, and she bent over backwards to make sure that our party was perfect. She was a fantastic photographer and very proactive with a huge smile for the whole experience. The food was cold and sour and the sauce was like dried onto the food, and our server seemed stoned. She was very very dissociated and not really paying attention. Seem seemed very dazed, her name was Britney

Both steaks were over cooked and tasted burnt or like peper depending on the bite, the pop was flat and tasted off, the celery that came with the chicken wings was dryer then a desert the baked potato had no bacon in it. Definitely will not be back terrible experience.

Went out for supper at Kelsey s had the 10oz sirloin was so delicious and tender, definitely one of the bests I ve had in a while. But the highlight of our night was our amazing attentive server Tyson. Had our order memorized with no mistakes even though he was busy. Was funny and charming had us laughing the whole time!

We stopped in yesterday afternoon I had a burger, my daughter had chicken tenders and my son had a steak. The presentation was beautiful. Kelly B was an excellent server. She also mentioned chef Shawn how great he was!!! Everything was beautiful from The Hostess greeting us to Kelly serving us. The food was Awesome Thank you Shawn!!!! We will be back

Went a few weeks ago to grab a bite after a long day and had the absolute sweetest server!! Alix made sure I enjoyed every part of my experience and im pretty sure she made it her mission to ensure I left with a smile! My experiences at Kelseys are usually pretty good, service always excellent. We had Robin today and she was fantastic as always. My only issue this time was that their payment machines were down and we werent told by anyone. Seems like a pretty big oversight by management. You expect signage or at least to be told at some point. Luckily we carry cash, but I dont know what they expect from people that dont always carry cash.

We went at noon to go for lunch before a movie. Seating and service was prompt. We each got burgers, which came out piping hot and exactly as ordered. While we didn t get the spinach dip this time, we will be back again for it. Will absolutely be back! Parking: Lots of parking available, and you don t have to walk far to get to the door. Wonderful location.

I would have given a 0 if I could. Restaraunt is half full. Had to ask someone to seat us. They did finally and then 4 servers walked by no eye contact and after sitting there for a bit longer walked out. Need better service. We were visiting from Manitoba. Very disappointed.

Dined here with a friend. Had a couple of burgers, salad and some beers. Quick service; attentive but not overbearing. Food came out reasonably quickly. Both burgers (different) were really tasty. I personally have never had a burger in my life with that flavour. Id recommend and Id come back. * Update May 2024. Chicken parm: Highly disappointing. Incredibly dry and tough and appeared very overcooked. Not sure how you can deliver tough chicken but thats how it came to the table.

I really enjoy Kelseys. I enjoy Thursday night wing night. It is my go to place. Chandler is an awesome server. I really enjoy going there and seeing the staff which are all great. This place is a must visit.

Our server, Kelly, was absolutely wonderful! My partner got the Steak, Bacon & Swiss sandwich with a side of Beet & Goats Cheese Salad, while I got the 8oz sirloin ( blue, and it came out near perfect! ) and a side of Angry Kettle Chips for us to split. We also got the Cajun Fried Shrimp, which was delicious. I had a few bites of his sandwich, which we both enjoyed, but he absolutely loved the salad! The kettle chips were just okay; the seasoning wasn t evenly dispersed so some bites were super, super salty. The steak, which I ordered blue, was surprisingly good for a chain steak AND it was cooked just a liiitle above blue, which is perfectly fine as I prefer my steak blue / rare always order blue if you want a rare steak!!!!

We always have the best experience here. Have never had a bad one. Its our go to for every date night!

The food was pretty good, if I could give a 3.5 stars I think that wouldve reflected a better review. Our server was a sweetheart, great with our kids (thank you), but the overall table maintenance was lacking. Our server seemed overloaded in her section, but what got me was the abundance of staff close by that paid zero attention to garbage on the floors, extra dirty dishes at the table, etc. Once again..I appreciate how personable our server was, and the food was alright, but having four very kind servers come to our table to sing a birthday song (thank you!), and not one of them recognizing an issue with shoving empty, dirty plates to the side in order to set down a dessert probably boils down to an issue at the top of the chain in your establishment. I will return for sure, but Ill probably give it some time to see if standards improve.

We went in with our daughter lastnight for a meal as we were in Moncton for a volleyball tournament. There was names and writting ALL over the brick wall so our daughter tried to write her name and the manager came over and very rudely said do not do that! When I tried to apologize and explain that we thought it was something they do there as it was our first time there and seeing all the writting on the wall made it seem like it was a thing she just walked away. Then our waitress completely forgot that we ordered an appetizer, then when she brought our meals out after waiting for 50 minutes my spouses meal didnt have his baked potatoe nor the shrimps that were ordered as an add on to be on the steak. She said that she was having the cooks re-do the potatoe as it was put on his plate while still being hard in the middle. So when he was almost done his meal she brought his potatoe out. She did bring us a free dessert to make up for it but overall the experience was less than pleasant.Then when the bill came the shrimps that we ordered as an add onto his steak dinner were on it so that had to be removed as well.Im not one to write poor reviews but I was shocked at how many mess ups there were.

Food was delicious, a bit expensive for what you got I found though, our server was great but there was very loud background music that made it hard to have a conversation with people at your table.

Tried out Kelsey s for the first time and it was really good. We were reluctant to try it as we find the Montanas in Moncton is horrible. Even though they re owned by the same company the service and food is way better. We did the lunch Trio. Great food and great prices. Will definitely be back. One comment for the manager though - it s confusing when you walk in and there is no sign to seat yourself or wait to be seated and no staff there. We just stood there awkwardly for a minute or two before someone came over. A sign please wait to be seated is needed.

Great spot! Just had supper there with my family for my fathers and sisters birthday. We made a reservation as we knew its a popular spot. Food didnt take long. Portions were good. Tasted great. Awesome waitress! Music was a bit loud but thats anywhere really. Was so good I ordered takeout for work and that came prompt too. 5 star service & food!

Update: One day after my review I was contacted by Kelseys. She was very apologetic and friendly. We set up a phone call to discuss everything. When I post a review I dont do it expecting anything. Im just honest, which doesnt always align with others. Kelseys went above and beyond by offering me a gift certificate. I look forward to trying them out again, and Im sure itll be different this time. I had a gift card from Kelseys and I had never tried it before. I ordered online and went to pick it up. I arrived before my order was ready, so you would think it would have been hot. After waiting 5 to 10 minutes I was handed the bag and there was no heat. I got to my car, which I parked in front on the doors as it was almost 8pm and not busy. I opened the bag to confirm the order and the plastic containers were luke warm. There were only 2 couples in the restaurant eating and 2 at the bar having drinks so they werent busy. I had the spinach dip, BBQ Bacon Bourbon burger with a side of loaded kettle fries. I was so wanting something tasteful, but this wasnt it. The spinach dip was bland, the burger patties were flavourless enough that bacon couldnt help it, and the loaded kettle chips had the toppings on the bottle on the plastic tray and tiny bits on top. I was so disappointed. I had 2 tastes of the spinach dip, 5 bites of burger and about 5 plain kettle chips. Why cant take out ordered get the same treatment as in house orders? Money is money. The kettle chips looked like where put together like a sling shot. Im glad most of it was paid for with a gift card or I would have been super angry. I even left a tip with the order. Where is the good food in this city!!!???? Everything is so blah!

Absolutely everything is great - food, atmosphere, drinks - *but* the wait staff should consider dialing back on calling everyone dear, sweetheart, honey etc. It s awkward and weird and seriously over the top.

First time trying Kelseys and wow, delicious. Large portions and decent prices. Our server Ashley G. was fantastic. She had a good sense of humour, seemed well experienced when taking our order and really made our time here worthwhile. The restaurant isn t crowded, is spotless and is very roomy. We loved everything about this place. We will definitely be back! UPDATE: Feb 11 2022 had the wings, with hot sauce and sweet and spicy thai and a side of Caesar salad. The salad tasted nice and fresh, they use real bacon and the croutons are so crunchy I thought the whole restaurant could hear me crunch on them lol! Its probably my favorite place for ceaser salad. The wings were done perfectly, you can taste everything about them in every bite, even with sauces on them they stayed crispy.

Overall a great spot would highly recommend.

Our waiter Tyson S if I remember correctly was AMAZING. I have never had such amazing service. The food was amazing, the atmosphere. It was my first time and they have a new customer. Buffalo chicken sandwich is 5 star.

ZERO STARS. Went for supper around 6:30. restaurant was about 1/4 full when we got there. No greeter, bartender came to give us a table. No server in sight for the first 30 minutes. Finally someone came for our order. Food time was ok at best. Food came and we had no utensils despite asking. Had to get up and find a worker to get our utensils. Meal tasted like store bought, had been under a heat lamp and not fresh at all. We had to send one of our orders back as it was cold and missing half of what we requested. After our food was delivered no one came to check on us for over an hour despite several servers walking past seeing we were done our meal. We had to get up and start to get ready to leave and go find a server for our bill. Overall we were in there for 2 hours and had to basically serve ourselves despite seeing a good amount of staff around. This establishment is a joke, the staff don t care to serve customers and food is sub par. Save yourself the aggravation and go somewhere else

We went with a group of friends including 7 children ages 5 and under. Staff including our waiter were great! He was Super friendly, quick and patient with the kids.

I love the consistency of Kelseys food wherever I eat in Canada. Good quality, hearty portions and Ive always found the staff welcoming and friendly. I had the Chicken Fried Chicken with gravy, what a treat. Very modern decor with soft sympathetic lighting.

Oue server was fantastic although I cant remember his name. It was our first time there and we both enjoyed the food. We split the spinach dip and Cajun shrimp. We will definitely return next time were in Moncton and maybe have more than an appetizer.

We visited Kelseys during Burger Fest. Unfortunately our burgers arrived lukewarm at best. We did tell our server but were hesitant to send them back. She did offer to comp a dessert. Aside from the burger not being warm, the flavours were excellent and I would have given them a 5 star if the burger wasnt lukewarm. Made us feel as though they werent made fresh but likely cooked earlier and kept warm under a heat lamp. Forgot to take a picture before digging in but remembered halfway through lol. Shaeleah was our server and was phenomenal. Its hard to find good people to work the food industry but she is a definite gem.

We were in Moncton for a Cheer Competition and we took the family to Kelsey s it s a favourite to our daughters. The food and service is always good but on Jan 20th we had the absolute fortune of having Cameron as our waiter. He greeted us with a smile and witty humour! We thoroughly enjoyed him his stories and quirky humour! He was a star and we would go back just to have him as our waiter!

So the chicken wings.... Blood dripping from them. Showed the waiter and was told that we could get new wings, but it would happen again. Waiter told us that despite being bloody, the chicken is fully cooked but steroids are injected into the chickens and their blood vessels burst? What?!?

We stopped in for burger festival. The burger was awesome!!! Robyn who was our server was fantastic!!!! We enjoyed our experience and will be back again!!

Tried the steak and swiss sandwich. Very good if you like steak and looking for a handheld that feels healthier and lighter than a burger. Good flavour match with the sauce , onions, spinach. Onion rings on the side were delicious and hot but lack in quantity (jeans offers more). Wing night deal was good. Spinach dip delicious as always, has onions and peppers, and lots of pita bread chips (no nachos). Total of 61.36.

Food was not fresh to say the least..

I went here for my birthday dinner. It was my first time there as I always go to montanas and I wanted something different. However I was kind of disappointed in my meal. I ordered the chicken with potatoes and seasonal vegetables. I love vegetables specifically broccoli but it was so mushy and bland that I couldn t enjoy it without a ton of salt on it. The potatoes tasted like they were the boxed instant potatoes and my chicken was swimming in gravy. The chicken was the only good thing. After I took off the amount of gravy and used it for my potatoes. Then when we were finished our waiter walked by us 5 different times not paying attention to the fact that we were done and we had to get someone else to get him to be able to pay and leave. Won t be going back again unfortunately.

Went in for an early Valentine s Day dinner last night for the 2/$55 and had Maclean as our server- amazing customer service! He made sure to check in on us multiple times and have our food delivered super fast even though he had so many other tables to look after. Never seen a server so attentive anywhere in Moncton.

Probably the best alfredo pasta in Moncton. Amazing service and atmosphere to enjoy your evening. The 6$ drinks are a must. Onion rings on the sides were great with chilli cheese toast.

Last minute decision to go out for Valentine s Day. Spinach dip appy, steak and fries, wings, and one white chocolate cheesecake. It was Wednesday so wine was 1/2 price for a bottle. Service was excellent. Food was excellent. Will definitely be returning.

The service was good. The food was average at best. I ordered the 1/2 wings and ribs combo, my wife ordered the salmon. The ribs were tough and served warm, (not hot) the chicken had no flavor. The salmon was extremely overcooked (almost burned) and the baked potato was bland despite its presentation.

Me and my fiancé go out a lot of places to eat, and honestly. I was kind of excited for kelseys. We were seated quickly, but unfortunately that was the quickest part. We were waiting for over 25 minutes till a server came over and said oh you guys havent been served yet?? She took our order and went on her way. The food was roughly another 20 minute wait until we got it, I understand some times it gets busy, but this was around 2:30pm. My fiancé ordered the Thai green curry bowl. She loves Thai dishes and knows how they taste. Unfortunately this one was almost a soup, the sauce was so watered down it wasnt like a proper curry bowl at all. I got the BBQ bacon bourbon burger with fries, the fries were almost stone cold and completely unseasoned when I got them, and the cheese on my burger was actually not even melted, the burger was so-so. I overheard the people next to us, they were done eating, and was waiting for the bill for 15 minutes before the waiter came back with it. Personally our waiter only took about 5 minutes or so. But Ive heard similar issues with wait times there. Honestly overall, I would of much preferred going somewheres else, this was our first time ever going and I am doubtful that we will go again. EDIT: The manager of kelseys reached out to me, after a very pleasant conversation with her, me and my fiance decided to give it another try, she had the chicken Alfredo, and I personally had the steak. This time was much much much better. Food and service was quick, food was hot. I believe that the staff may of been having an off day the last time we came, but this time was much better!

Burger Week brought us in to try Kelseys and their Spicy burger. Real beef patties, beautiful toppings, sweet potatoes were excellent. Service was good. No wait at lunch. Restaurant is clean. Reasonable price. Will go back.

My kids and I visit Kelsey s often and always have a great experience. Spinach dip is a fan favourite, the kids meal portions are large & their Broccoli soup is the best around.

My family and I love Kelsey s we have been coming for awhile. The last few times we have been in we had Ashley as our server! She is awesome and helped my wife out with her wine selection the first time and remembered when we came back the following week what she wanted! She even remembered our food order! Exceptional service! We love the food and atmosphere and will continue to come back! Great job Kelsey s now pick my name for name of the day so we can get a free spinach dip!
