Since when do restaurant pre- decide the amount of tip??? and not 15%, no 18%, to young 16 gear olds... and the reason they told them is because they were more then 8, they HAD to pay 18% of tip..... NEVER GOING THERE!!!!! how to ripoff clients!!!! rediculous... and the service was horrible!

Awful. Walked out after 25 minutes of our group being ignored- no water, no drink service, nothing. The staff simply stared stared at us blankly as we walked out. Wow. Lol

Luckily the food made up for the terrible service. Food was above and beyond. If our waitress was more efficient and checked more often and wait time better it would be 6 stars out of 5.

Small menu but the food that comes out is good. The atmosphere was dead, no background music. I could hear other tables conversations clear. Restaurant has potential. Parking was confusing.

This place was AMAZING! Devon the manager is so very good at her job, so kind, knows her stuff inside and out and was a great vibe! The food was delicious (we had the spinach dip, wings, ravioli and the M10 board). I highly recommend Monk10!!! 12/10

This is the restaurant attached to the Hilton downtown Moncton. This is the Hiltons breakfast option. The restaurant charges 16 + tax for this buffet. If you want it as apart of your room they charge $24 in addition to your room rate unless you are a gold or platinum member. It s not worth $5. They use powder eggs, don t have any options if you are gluten free besides a yogurt and an apple. The food was COLD. And while yes it started at 6 am the food shouldn t sit for hours without heat. By 7:30 it was room temperature. They also don t serve you, which is fine. I m fine to grab my own food. But they expect a tip. So if you are thinking of adding this as a part of your stay. Don t.

We travel a lot and really enjoy sitting at the bar and engaging with the bar staff. Sadly the reception from the employees on this particular night was dismal so we caught a cab and ate elsewhere.

Hard to believe this place is rated 3.9/5. Great value, decent drinks, and the best burger in Moncton.

We ordered through Skip. Totally get that food delivered isnt as good as eating in but the wings were bland and dry. There was no option to select mild/med/spicy even tho it was in the description. Just need to fix their Skip menu. The M10 burger was a big patty and meat taste and texture were good but maybe the carmelized onion made the brioche bun very soggy so it fell apart. Also wilted lettuce on a burger...the fries were slightly undercooked but decent. Dessert as usual very nice.

My sister and I just thoroughly enjoyed the Chicken Supreme. It was fantastic. We loved the atmosphere and the service was excellent.

Visited for 2024 Burgerfest, and their entry was outstanding. If the rest of their menu is reflective, then Monk10 is a hidden gem.

Food is good, but waiting time is exaggerated.

Great burger, fries were perfect... Crispy on the outside fluffy on the inside and really hot too. Cheesecake was also really good.

If you are looking for a hidden gem, this is the spot! We have visited a few time and the food has always been fantastic! The service also matches the quality of the food! This is a needs to visit!

Went there for our anniversary, the atmosphere is trying to be upscale but seems more dated then trendy. Our appetizer (bacon, apple brie) is served chilled not warm and was underwhelming for the price. My wife ordered the four cheese ravioli. It was inedible. The ravioli was unevenly undercooked and had no filling. The sauce was a white soup with no sign of the four promised cheeses either. We sent it back to the kitchen and only excuses were returned via our server. No compensation was offered although we werent billed for her uneaten food. I had the kimchi burger which was unexceptional. The side soup was even less interesting. There is much better food at lower prices at many other locations and the next time we wish to have an evening out we will choose one of the other nice restaurants in the area that offer far superior experiences. Parking: Requires metered parking on the street.

Oh Where to begin... I so wanted to like this place and dislike giving such negative reviews. My partner and I went to Monk10s for their Valentine s Day fixed price offering. Upon entering we felt it had a very cafeteria vibe. Once we were seated the server came over an placed a dirty water carafe and two glasses down at the table and did not offer to fill the glasses. A few moments later she returned with two glasses of champaign and prepared to take our orders. You had a choice of appetizer and entrée. I went with the Beet Veloute and my partner chose the Caesar Salad for our appetizers. My partner wanted the vegetarian option for her entrée, a Squash Caramelle Pasta, but was informed it was not available and there was no vegetarian substitute She went with the 6oz beef tenderloin. I ordered the Seared Tuna. Taste: (1/2 star) Amuse: Scallop Ceviche This was a very bland offering. The lemon/lime zest was overpowering, making the scallops impossible to taste. Appetizer: Caesar Salad Again overpowered with Lemon juice and stale crostini. Appetizer: Beet Veloute Not eatable. It was as if a shaker of salt was accidently dumped in the plate. Entrée: Seared Tuna The tuna was overcooked. The outside was crisp, but the inside was overcooked and dry. A perfect seared tuna should be seared on the outside and rare on the inside. If the chef felt it shouldn t be rare then at most it should have an internal temperature of 145 F. This was at about 185 F. Entrée: 6oz Beef Tenderloin The cut was chewy and overcooked. Asked for a medium and received a very well-done. The demi glaze wasn t bad. Desert: Chocolate Raspberry Mousse Not bad, but not great. The raspberry glaze tasted like it was from a can. Service (1 star): It is said that great service can make up for an average meal. Unfortunately, the service was like the food subpar. After receiving the dirty carafe, the service did not improve. After each course they took our plate and utensils but did not replace our utensils. Every time, we had to ask for another fork. At the start of the entrée, our server came over and asked if I would like a drink I choose a scotch and before my partner could give her drink order, the server turned around and left. We tried to call her back, but she just kept walking. When she finally returned with my drink, I asked if my partner could also order a drink. Atmosphere (1/2 star with 4 stars for the jazz trio): Monk10 is inside the Hilton Garden Inn and is an open concept design. Unfortunately, because of the style of tables and chairs it has a very cafeteria feel. In addition, even if this is the look they had in mind for valentine s day they should have rented white linens for the tables. They did have a jazz trio playing that added some nice ambiance. Overall (1 star): Including tax and tip (yes, we still tipped) it was over $200. For that price it should have had the quality, service and atmosphere of a place like Little Louis (A place we truly enjoy and would have only cost an extra $100). However, Monk10 feels like a group of friends got together and said let s open a restaurant! However, none of the friends had any restaurant experience and the chef was great at cooking for that group of friends but not for a large group. I know this probably isn t the case, but at least that would provide some explanation as to why this restaurant exists.

I was not impressed by this restaurant.. they didn t have on hand a lot of the items that were in the menu. Ive ordered a salad for an appetizer, it was soaked in vinegar. The main course was okay but nothing special. The atmosphere in monk10 is closer to a cafeteria than a fine restaurant.. I would not recommend this place.

We were impressed with the quality of food! We had the Kimchi burger and I absolutely loved it. You can tell its house-made, and if you ask they will cook it to your desired doneness. Potato croquettes were super yummy. My husband had the braised short rib and it was TO DIE FOR. 10/10 would go back just for that.

Our food was perfect. They can accommodate gluten-free. The room is very open and it was fairly cold for a restaurant. We were a party of 6. The pricing seemed fair for the items. Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free options are available. The burger bun was GF, but you would not know it. Very good. Parking: After 6pm in Moncton, the parking on the street is free.

Friendly professional service. The waitress was wonderful. The food was very good and filling. Wheelchair accessibility: It is easily accessible for someone with mobility issues.

We ordered food at 6 pm and no food by 710. Other tables ordered their food and were eating. Then one order came out. Concert started at 7:30. We asked for the bill and paid it and left.

My husband and I have gone a few times to celebrate special occasions (birthday, anniversary, new years) and its always a treat! I love the live music and the food is amazing!! Each time weve had something different and every time my husband and I loved our dishes! While the prices are marginally higher than what youd find at your average big box restaurant, you get your moneys worth with the generous portion sizes and the quality of the food! Everything is made from scratch, sourced locally and always delicious! This is where Ill bring my foodie out of town friends when they visit! Thank you Monk10 staff for always making our special nights extra special!

*Edit to add some items to provide more context and change my review to 1* from 2*. My wife had made a reservation a few weeks prior to going and had requested to see if a Vegan option could be made other than the burger that was on their menu, and a dessert/cake for a special occasion. This was was confirmed by the restaurant (Chef) by both email and Facebook Messenger. Upon arrival our name was not on the reservation list and the hostess went into the kitchen to check, and came back stating she did not have our reservation and there was no alternate vegan option available (as confirmed previously) but they could seat us as there was plenty of space. I requested to speak to the manage, who I assume was the Chef and he came out and stated that there was the burger and fritters (appetizer) on the menu that were options (which we knew about and had had previously, which is why we requested an alternative) but nothing was communicated re: dessert. With our reservation and request forgotten we left to go elsewhere. Special occasion or not, in my opinion a restaurant can have great food, but with this level of service its just not good enough. Needless to say well take our business elsewhere

I ve had the pleasure of going to this amazing restaurant. It was a last minute decision while we were travelling. I ve been to many restaurants in my life in many countries and I ve never had such a glorious experience. I don t usually leave reviews but I just had to for this location. If you want a personalized amazing food experience please do yourself a favour and stop by and try their food. The staff is wonderful and attentive, and the food is beyond amazing.

Different atmosphere and restaurant layout. But worth the dining experience. Great food and great service. Wait staff was very friendly and knowledgeable on what the menu had to offer. As a bonus the bread on the charcuterie board was homemade at the restaurant, as was the desserts. Nice touch Monk 10. Just for that reason, we will be back.

You wouldnt know it from the rather bland decor, but this restaurant serves a select menu of extraordinary dishes served by amazing staff. The in-house pastry chef makes some amazing breads and desserts.

This place is terrific! We were in with a group and had a small issue. The manager went way above and beyond to take care of it. You couldnt ask for better customer service. Not to mention they server up the best burger ever!

This place had an amazing charcuterie board.. not your typical or traditional stuff. There were multiple combinations of flavors with items like fish, sausage, sauces, and cheeses prepared in different ways. The portion is large with plenty of bread and crackers to try each flavor. Definitely one of the best charcuterie boards Ive ever had!

Amazing drink

A beautiful terrace and smiling staff. The rest was a very unpleasant experience. Our order was taken after 20 minutes, the first (and only plate) arrived after 1 hour, the dessert never arrived, the empty plates were never removed, and the carafe of water was never fulfilled. We stayed a total of 2 hours waiting and trying to call a server or manager. For information, the restaurant was almost empty, other tables waited even longer than us, and what we ate was not extraordinary. If I had to go back, it would only be for a drink on the terrace, and only if I have a lot of time to waste.

We chose to come here before the Russell Peter s show at the Avenir on Wednesday, July 13th. They have a great patio space which is in sight of the Avenir Center. We arrived at 6:30ish took 20 minutes for someone to take our drink order. They brought our first drink at 7:06. I immediately ordered our food and asked for a second beer right at that time. The second beer only arrived 33 minutes later. The server was very friendly but appeared to be very ineffective. We even told him that we had a show to attend at 8pm. After asking him about how long to get food considering how busy the restaurant appeared to be, he had reassured us that it would only take 25 to 30 minutes to get our food ready. Food ordered at 7:06, it only arrived at ordered only arrived at 8:02. The moment the food arrived I asked our server to bring us the bill and debit machine so we could pay right away. Thankfully he brought the bill for payment before the food came in. They were good enough to provide a 10% discount on the food and drinks. This barely made up for their shortcomings considering we had to rush to eat in order to not miss too much of the show. The quality of the food was great but we could not enjoy it whatsoever due to how rushed we were to not miss out on the show any further. I would not recommend coming to Monk 10 before any show or event at the Avenir Center as I must say, going to Monk 10 on this particular evening definitely put a damper on what was supposed to be a great evening. Ref: CHK 5708 I messaged them thru Facebook messenger immediately following our visit to provide them feedback from our visit, I have yet to hear back from them.

This restaurant is inside the Hilton Garden Inn and we had breakfast included in our stay and this is the meal we ate here. We paid extra to have breakfast included, to which we had to pay $3 extra for a couple of meals because two of us chose meals that were $18 (breakfast was a voucher for $15). This is all fine it just feels a bit stingy. To add to this, we felt more stinginess during our meal: (1) the menu clearly stated that the entree breakfasts and sweets breakfasts included toast. My daughter wanted toast with her pancakes and we were told that its not actually the case, most people dont want toast with their pancakes because its too much bread, extra $1 if she wanted toast. (2) my son ordered the waffle breakfast which said two waffles, he only got one (3) the menu said you can substitute turkey sausages for regular - you only get one turkey sausage if you opt for that but three if you get regular Overall minor things but they added up and left a poor impression on the breakfast service. Would definitely stay at the hotel again but opt out of breakfast here.

I stayed in Moncton for three nights, and this was the best restaurant of the trip! Great food, some excellent wine and beer option, and the patio was superb. I d particular recommend the beet carpaccio. Service was also excellent.

I have had dinner here 3 times over the past 18 months. The service has always been good but the food has never been anything more than ok. Last nights food lacked flavor and looked like something I had tossed together at home. But the service, although friendly, was lazy. Servers pointing to the door to the patio, pointing to the beer list on the far side of the restaurant. My table was 1 of 3 tables so it was not busy. Definitely not Fine Eatery standards.

Extremely disappointed. We have been waiting 1 hour and 45 min. and we have yet to be served.

Well this used to be my favourite spot in town! Told everyone I knew coming into town about it. But it s just not the same anymore. The food lost its magic. It feels like it lost that fresh prepped feel. I hear the chef left to work elsewhere so maybe these things are related

Edit: 2022-09 Recently, the restaurant has changed chefs and turned over almost its entire staff. Ive heard that potentially theyre turning it into another sports bar. I would no longer recommend eating here, because even if they keep the same kind of food, chances are its changed dramatically, or about to. ------ I got the M10 burger, as part of the FlipBurgerFest. A burger that needs no hook, other than being amazingly delicious! House ground meat, onion confit, bibb lettuce, tomato, sambal aioli, butter toasted brioche. At the chefs recommended medium, this burger was cooked to perfection. No gobs of sauce, no ridiculously tall stacking, no non-burger ingredients. This burger is entirely comfortable being a burger that knows it can win the contest, as well as my business Definitely getting this again soon!

We were very disappointed with the service and the food that was brought to us... it had nothing to do with the images on the website. Very disappointing. Additionally, the service was slow, one of our friends only received his plate after we had all finished and we forgot our drink order. We never received them. I understand that there is a shortage of workers, but if that is the case, remove tables so that the servers can offer reasonable service!

An absolute gem of a patio, literally a stones throw from the Avenir Centre. Excellent food, drink, and service, all reasonably priced. We spent the afternoon before the Sting concert enjoying cocktails and tempura with a delicious ponzu sauce. The staff was so accommodating we stayed right where we were for super and enjoyed a perfect butter chicken and ahi tuna...and then dulce leche cheesecake to finish it off! Highly recommended, this is now our go-to spot when visiting Moncton.

The only reason I have 2 stars is because the food is excellent. That being said, it doesnt make up for the absolute lack of professionalism on the part of the bartender and hostess. They should not be carrying out a personal conversation, cursing and discussing their wages in front of customers. I almost left without my food because I couldnt believe what I was hearing. Luckily the waitress who rang me up was polite and courteous. The other two bozos shouldnt be employed by what looks to be a higher-end establishment.

Great location, easy walk from the Crown plaza hotel. Staff was friendly, food was delicious, and ambiance was welcoming.

Service was not good ,waited a while to be seated,waited 45 minutes for our food and it wasnt busy only us. Waitress wasnt friendly at all . Was disapointed with my food but finished my daughters burger and that was good .

Oozes potential but doesnt deliver... Water glasses were dirty, had lipstick marks on them. Not a single person at the bar yet our drinks took 20 minutes. Food (M10 burger) was only OK. Fries were great but portion was tiny. Waiter was friendly but never brought bill, had to get up and find him.

When a supposed Fine Eatery Restaurant is empty at Dinner time, on a Friday, in Moncton with everything going on right now, that should have been my sign. Pasta not fully cooked and no bread with it; not even offered. No fresh black pepper And.......a hair in my Shrimp Alfredo Grossed right out......never again! Look at the pic at your own risk!

Has potential but they miss the mark on cosiness, big square open room could use partition walls or banquets anything to break up the space. Food and service we good but nothing amazing!

My wife and I love flipburgerfest and were so excited to try the Monk 10 burger. When we got home with the burger and cut it in half it was pink and slimy. We contacted your establishment to let you know and received non helpful responses and were told this Our burgers are cooked to a medium. 140. This is how it is intended to be. The meat is all ground in house. Lab inspected. And perfectly safe. I have talked to a few other chefs and they said this is not a Canadian norm. The response between whomever answers your Instagram messages and my wife went back and forth with no resolutions. Your staff: We will cook the burgers further upon the customers request always. Did the server not mention that? The lady we placed the order with never asked us if we wanted our burger to be cooked further than medium rare, nor is it described as medium rare on your online menu or the flipburgerfest site. Very disappointed with the lack of concern over the happiness of your customers. We won t be returning.

We have been trying various burgers around town during burger month and when we got to the Monk 10 burger we hit the high note in our burger quest. Due to C19 we did take-out however our contact with the staff from order to curbside pick-up was flawless. Almost as good as the burgers! We recommend Monk 10!!

We love hamburgers. We tried the M10 burger last night and we will definitely order it again. The patty was a perfectly balanced blend of beef and beef marrow cooked to perfection, producing an out of this world juicy burger. The toasted brioche bun handled the patty and onctuous caramelized onions without falling apart. Even the fries had a nice crispness on the bite. If you love burgers, you owe it to yourself to try the M10 at Monk10. Youll thank me. Update March 12, 2021- Monk10 improved their M10 burgers fries. Not that there was anything wrong with the original crispy fries, but now their fries are a fatter home made length wise crinkle cut... a cut above the original. Awesome improvement.

Monk10 is a restaurant/tap room located just off the lobby of the new Holiday Inn found just up the street from the Avenir Center in Moncton NB. The restaurant has a more modern decor but I couldnt help the feeling of being in a cafeteria. They have a live Jazz night on Thursday evenings but had no music at all tonight. I suggest they have some type of background music playing in the future. Monk10 has a large patio that is due to open next week with a fire place and large lounge furniture on one side and propane heaters and regular tables on the other. The food quality was excellent and the drink selection is vast including many craft beer from all over the Maritimes. I ordered the Bao Buns appetizer (Amazing!) followed by the yellow curry with chicken also very good but found many bones in the dish which was dissapointing and a little concerning as a choke hazard. The presentation of both was very well done. For an idea of pricing, two of us each had an appetizer, main course and two drinks each for $120 plus tip. Very comparable to many of the mid to high-end restaurants in town. Overall I would rank Monk10 a 7 out of 10 and will definitely go back.

24 Dollar Classic Burger Review Sunday July 11th 2pm Let s start with the fountain Soda 0-Stars, the mix was not set correctly and didn t taste like cola, replacement canned Soda 5 -Stars, The wait time was acceptable, The presentation was very nice: 5-Stars, Fries: 5-Stars, Homemade Ketchup: 5-Stars. Classic Burger, House ground sounds impressive, but the spices used were overpowering and the burger was too lean and crumbly. If it is truly house ground homemade, I would suggest not to add any spices to your the burger, 1-Star. I took advantage of the Additions at 3 dollars a piece and added the overly salted House made bacon 0-Stars and the Smoked cheddar which I can t really comment on because it didn t have a positive nor negative impact on me at the time. The House made sliced pickles where too sour and salty for my taste 0-Stars. The brioche bun looked great but once I removed the overly salted House made bacon I noticed that the bun was soggy and wet so I asked for a replacement so I could assemble the burger again less the bacon and cheese that was attached (melted). At first, I received the bottom of the bun, then I had the ask for the top. Once the top arrived it was browned but notice it was frozen in the middle when I attempted to put it on the top of my burger, so I discarded what was left and at that time cold. My attempt the salvage the burger was futile. I believe that if everything would have worked well, I can t imagine that I would have enjoyed it with the critical elements not tasting that great and overpowering on their own?? Overall experience was poor 0-Stars. You would have thought that I didn t get charged for my meal, right? WRONG I got charged for both meals. I think that they left out the charge for the bacon and cheese but I m not counting that, I think it makes it even worse and shows the type of judgment they have. You think leaving out the charge for the bacon and cheese will make up for that experience and on top of that, give me an incentive to come and give it another try? To put some icing on the cake, I had forgotten my new hat. When I realized it and came back to get it 20-30 minutes later. They have taken from the chair that it was on threw it in what looked to be a garbage .. BIG FAT 0 STARS!! The place looks all fancy and all but save your money and go with what you know..

An excellent new venue in the city. A small but outstanding menu.

Really great food, nice ambiance and good location. Patio was really nice on a sunny days. Staff was nice and professional, and service was quick. Only comment is that its quite a small menu, especially for a hotel restaurant where people may eat there multiple times... but what we did have was fantastic, so Ill stick to the 5 star review.

Good food and excellent service.

We visited the restaurant as a group since we were having meetings in the hotel the next day. Staff was amazing, food was delicious. Even though the menu is limited when compared to other restaurants, everyone in our group of 12 was able to find something they wanted and everyone in our group was impressed by their choice. The food on the following day was also prepared by the restaurant and it was once again very good. Kudos to the chef and the staff for a great meal and great service.

It felt like a cafeteria. Not really cozy. I ordered the charcuterie board and would not recommend. Music that night and the singer was good but very loud. In all its ok but will not go again

Burger was very tasty. Side was subpar. Potato soup was the consistency of day old porridge. Sent it back and server said it so thick because it is made with potatoes and returned it. Soup had zero broth and simmered far too long.
