My workplace just celebrated our Christmas party here and we had an absolutely awesome time!! The food was amazing and the setup overall from dining to dancing was flawless! Extra thanks to all the wonderful staff in the kitchen, serving, and bartending! We were treated exceptionally well!! Cant wait to come back for date nights!! Thank you for such a great evening!

We went out for a team work dinner! We can t say enough about the food. The lamb was incredible, the baklava melted in your mouth and that latte was a perfect finish. Weve eaten at many Greek Restaurants. But Taverna is by far the best food weve eaten for Greek Food. Well plated, fresh, well seasoned and SUPER generous portions!! Great friendly staff, awesome owners and a MUST VISIT, I Guarantee you wont go just once!! ENJOY

Amazing atmosphere, food is delicious with a lot of great choices. Servers are amazing and able to read the table! Highly recommend Parking: Depending on what time you go depends on pricing. Wheelchair accessibility: Sidewalk accessible, does have an upstairs but also a main floor.

Service was excellent. Food was good as well. It threw me off that at a Greek restaurant I was invited to pay extra for a greek salad instead of the green one that was standard with the meal.

10 outta 10 INCREDIBLE RESTAURANT!! We love trying new, & local restaurants. Came from Saint John, and searched up greek restaurants. Came across this restaurant and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT! We were greeted with smiles & warmth. Waitress took our drink order, and kindly suggested the beer from Greece. HECK YES! It was delicious. Ordered an appetizer, and it came quickly. Tzatziki & pita - perfect! My husband & I both ordered Slovakia chicken with potatoes, rice & Greek salad. The Greek dressing was so tasty. They really should bottle that stuff & sell it. While waiting for our meal, the owner came over & said that they over cooked the chicken skewer, and it would be another 6-7 minutes as they were cooking new ones. He then came over with a different Greek beer, and poured us a glass and said it was on the house. Stating he apologized for the wait - and we didn t even feel as though we had waited long. Service was top notch. Food was incredible, and we will be back! This is now my fav restaurant in Moncton. Job well done!!! WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!

I have been fortunate enough to have visited Greece, Crete and Rhodes when I wore a younger mans clothes. The experience I have every time I eat at Taverna takes me straight back there. The food is absolutely authentic, beautifully presented and prepared. The decor and ambience is wonderful and even the bathrooms are so clean and beautifully designed. Matthew, our waiter, has been A1 with his recommendations, politeness, service, attentiveness and friendliness. It it a combination of all of these things that keeps us coming back time after time and loving our experience there.

Craving Greek food because we have none in PEI and randomly discovered this place! OPA! We hit the jackpot! Immediately impressed with the mythological modern decor. The menu was great except I noticed no moussaka. The owner said a vegetarian one is in the works. Good idea! Instantly felt appreciated as a customer so friendly and caring here. First came complimentary pita and that went excellent with our wine. Had the pastitsio and it didn t disappoint the béchamel was lusciously high and so meaty. My spouse had the souvlaki, rice and Greek potatoes and was impressed. Loved the music too. Please open up a resto in PEI guys!

What an awesome visit. The staff were very easy to get along with and the atmosphere was modern and cozy. The food was delicious and lots of Greek flavors that we looked forward to. The meals were cooked perfectly and decent portions too. This will be our new go to place while we are in Moncton. Cant wait to return.

I had an ouzo and feta with olives. There was a Greek music nonstop. Wooden tables with lanterns. Stylish mix of traditional tavern spirit and modern design. I like everything!

We ordered swordfish, shrimp kebabs and squid with a good sauvignon. the squid was burnt at some spots, but still delicious good. The swordfish was delicious and tender. Shrimp was also very good and perfectly cooked. Very garlicky, like we LOVE. Little salads were tasteful. Potatoes and rice were also very lemony which we enjoyed. The tzaziki was super spicy with the freshly chopped garlic. its a restaurant that serves garlic, olive oil and oregano in almost everything. We love these three things, so we enjoyed, but I dont think id want to pay that much again for this food. Our server Alfred was amazing, i wish he wouldve sat with us! Him and my date got along so well, they became instant best friends !! Amazing service from him. He traveled Europe and only told us after he opened our bottle that they had GREEK WINE! Make sure to ask :)

I ve eaten at lots of Greek restaurants all over North America. Probably the worst representation of Authentic Greek food I ve ever had. You want Greek salad? That s extra. You want tzatziki? That ll cost ya! Want some cold, bland rice? Sure thing! How about some dry pork skewers? They got it!!! So disappointing, and sorry we decided to spend our money here.

Starting off with, I typically dont like Greek food. But my friends were having a birthday party dinner there, so I went along with an open mind. Glad I did. This place is CLASS! Great service, Great atmosphere, and I actually enjoyed the food! Very impressed. Very happy with the experience, and would willing go again! Worth checking out for sure.

The menu had a limited selection of dishes and the ones that were prepared were not very enjoyable. There was no impressive wow factor. Perhaps its just not to my taste. The only thing that stood out was the shashlik on a stick, which is likely the best in the city.

This place has a great vibe and great place to meet up with friends or family, food was okay it was not the best Greek food I have had by far, and I found the lack of vegetarian options concerning. The server did not offer any type of substitution on the entrees to replace the meat, or try to accommodate in any way, so cheese and fries/salad or soup appetizers were the only options. My family had two vegetarians in our group. Service was good, just not great but it was a busy night. Hopefully as this wonderful restaurant grows and improves they can have a more varied menu as they do in similar Greek restaurants within the Maritimes. Also when serving Saganaki it is commonly served with bread or pita , we did have to ask for this accompaniment. Not sure we would return with the current menu.

Ive had the privilege to eat here twice now, and both times I was blown away at how delicious the food was. My fiancé and I each take an appetizer and a main, and share half of the whole meal. This gave us the chance to try 4 appetizers and 3 mains. The lamb chops were heavenly, we had to reorder them the 2nd visit. We are foodies, and appreciate good food. This is by far, hands down, the best restaurant weve been to in Moncton. I can tell that the owners take pride in the food they serve. The service has always been lovely. And the atmosphere and decor are really nice. The bathrooms are so nice, I hope they paid their designer well LOL

Tried this spot for the first time and WOW we were AMAZED !!! Food was fresh, tasted amazing and we could not have had for better service ! We tried the kopanisti and the spanakopita along with those wonderful plates for our main meals. We actually went back the next day just for the same appetizers LOL. I could eat the kopanisti everyday of my life.

My wife and I were looking forward to trying this spot, and we were very impressed with the atmosphere, service, and food. Our initial table was right next to the bar and was uncomfortable, but we were moved to another table that was fantastic. We shared 4 apps and each had drinks and dessert. All delicious. .

First time here, celebrated my fathers birthday and had an amazing time and experience! The lamb was cooked to perfection , taramasalata and kopanisti were both amazing. Also recommend the Loukaniko and portokalopita ! So glad to be able to get a great taste of Greece here in nb, felt like being in Montreal! Can t wait to come back

We came during a Friday late afternoon: Great Geeek food and very trendy atmosphere in Moncton! Definitely date night vibes. I cannot explain how happy I am with my dining experience last night. The food was excellent. Try the lamb or the steak! All of the traditional Greek fare was wonderful. I offered to kiss the chef but he was having nothing to do with that! Wow. To top it off ..The Service!!!! We felt like royalty. My Husband and I visited Moncton this weekend. We were given a recommendation to try this restaurant, we both love Greek so we made sure to stop in and try it out. I can t say enough good things about the food, it was delicious! We both loved what we ordered! Along with incredible food, the staff is what makes the experience so good. Incredibly attentive, kind and always greeted with a smile upon every interaction. They make you feel like family. Officially a go to anytime we re in Moncton again!

This new Greek Restaurant is a great addition to downtown Moncton. It s nicely decorated in a Greek theme with friendly staff. Our server Jill was excellent with an outgoing personality that made our meal all the more enjoyable. The food was hot, delicious, and good size portions. The presentation of the food was very good and cooked excellently. We will return.

Taverna is the best restaurant, not only in Moncton, but in all of New Brunswick. The atmosphere, staff, owners, drinks, decor, and food are all top notch. If I am eating out, there is no place I would rather go. The worst part about the place is trying to decide what delicious meal to have. I, personally, can t decide, so I usually order multiple items from each section of the menu. This place hasn t been open a month and I will be eating there for the 5th time this Thursday. Can t get enough. Do yourself a favour and indulge. Your palette will thank you. Also stay tuned, I heard they will be opening for lunch soon. Opa.

Fabulous atmosphere, wonderful staff and of course the most amazing Greek cuisine. As soon as you walk in youre transported to a modern Greek taverna. The music, the vibe, the owners greeting you and making sure youre happy, is sure to please you! They make you feel like family. We absolutely love this restaurant.

Best restaurant in Moncton? Definitely in the conversation, food is succulently decadent, the ambiance and decor are out of a movie and the staff is genuinely nice and helpful. Great future for this place, already been multiple times since opening, the appetizers are all good, but the Loukaniko sausage, crispy on the outside and moist and juicy on the inside is to die for, the lamb main is grilled to perfection and will make your mind and taste buds fly off to the Greek islands, the drinks are very original and on point, special mention to the Santorini Sunset, it all ends with a desert, the baklava is the best I have ever had!

It is rare for me to give 5 full stars but we had an AMAZING experience. We went in not knowing how busy this was and it was almost dinner time, and there were no booths available due to this. I need booths due to mobility issues that affect my ability to sit for long periods of time in regular chairs so we thought wed come back to try another time. The owner happened to be right behind us so as we walked out he approached and asked why we were leaving, we explained and he told us to follow him. He managed to get us a a booth seat, was very welcoming and extremely friendly. He recommended the trojan horse mocktail which was FABULOUS. Every SINGLE thing on the menu was amazing, even the sides ?potatoes, rice, pita bread) were out of this world. The waitress was always on it, refilling our water and asking if we needed anything/another drink, and she was very friendly. The steak was the absolute best I have had in some time as well. Atmosphere is beautiful and the owner kept checking on us during the meal, he even got down on hands and knees to fix the wobble on our table when he spotted it. The prices were also very reasonable considering the amazing taste and generous portions. They even gave us extra pita bread with our starter at no charge as soon as we ran out, and didnt charge me extra to sub out salad for potatoes with my steak. Absolutely fantastic. A MUST visit if youre in town and now one of my favourite restaurants ever.

Food was simply not good. Chewy meat, way over cooked lemon potatoes, etc. Unfortunate. Has potential but will not be going again unless there are major changes.

I don t know who my server was on Monday night (June 24 around 7pm) but she was fabulous! I ended up not feeling great and she brought me ginger ale and a box for my dinner so that I could take it home. Everything was amazing and I ll definitely be back :)

I have been to Taverna 3 times now and each time I think it can t get better it does. As I try different things on the menu. It is hands down 5 stars. The food is a party in your mouth with every bite. The atmosphere takes you out of Moncton and the service is best around. The waiter even came to check to make sure my salad came with no onions!! I can t say enough about the whole experience. Every staff in there cares about your experience. A must try!!!!

Visiting from Montreal, first week of July, we came across this new restaurant. Food was excellent - fried calamari was amazing - crispy, tender, not oily. Complimentary toasted pita bread hit the spot. Souvlaki plate and chicken brochette are a must. Waiter Marco (no, not Italian) very attentive and friendly. Owner Billy was a great host - even suggesting other places in vicinity to visit for good food. We definitely recommend Taverna. Can t go wrong.

This place was amazing! Service was impeccable, the staff was so very attentive and knowledgeable (we sat at the bar and Marco and Fernando were phenomenal), the food was delicious and fast. The owner made atleast two rounds at every table to make sure everyone was happy. The prices were fair and the drinks were delicious, so many different signature cocktails. The vibes were exactly what you want on a Friday night downtown! If you like greek food, this is the place for you.

Finally, Moncton has a perfect restaurant. The staff and the atmosphere were both spot on, and the food was authentic, perfectly prepared, and indescribably delicious. A big shout out to Holly, our waitress, I haven t experienced that level of service outside of 5 Star Restaurants in Toronto or Montreal. She made an incredible night even better Will definitely be back time and time again.

One of the worst greek restaurant i ever tasted...everything taste the same to much lemon on everything its ridiculous.. and so simple very very disapointed

From the second you walk into Taverna you know you are in for a treat! From the smiling hostess, to the beautifully appointed decor to the tantalizing menu, everything is well thought out! Then comes the food and your mind is blown! We had the pleasure of tasting several items on their menu and each one was as scrumptious as the next. I would highly recommend you reserve your next get together at this gem of a restaurant!
