We are committed to serving traditional local favorites, using only the finest and freshest ingredients. Our menu features customer favorites like freshly shucked Bay of Fundy lobster rolls, made without MSG in our batters, breading, or spices. At Skipper Jacks, delivering the best quality food is our constant goal.
Skipper Jack’s in Moncton is a go-to spot for seafood lovers, delivering consistently delicious food and an enjoyable dining experience. I always find myself coming back for their signature seafood chowder—creamy, rich, and packed with fresh seafood. It’s hands-down one of the best chowders I’ve ever had! Their seafood platter is another standout, offering a generous variety of perfectly cooked fish, scallops, and shrimp that never fail to impress. And let’s not forget the fried dill pickles—crispy, tangy, and utterly addictive. They’re a must-have appetizer every time I visit. What makes the experience even better is the service. The servers are incredibly entertaining and welcoming, adding a personal touch that makes every visit special. Their friendly demeanor and great sense of humor make you feel right at home, and they ensure you leave with a smile on your face. The atmosphere is casual and inviting, perfect for family dinners or casual outings with friends. For anyone craving a true taste of the Maritimes paired with excellent service, Skipper Jack’s is an absolute must-visit.
After looking online, I stumbled across this place and knew I had to check it out. The staff was friendly and took the time to answer all of my questions... and I had a lot of them. There are so many delicious looking items on the menu and they definitely pointed me in the right direction. This is clearly a restaurant enjoyed by locals, and that says a lot. I will definitely be eating here every time I'm in town.
Skipper Jack – A Seafood Lover's Dream in Moncton For weeks, my curiosity was piqued by Skipper Jack, a seafood gem we passed by regularly. Finally, a friend introduced me to this delightful spot, and it was worth every bit of anticipation. Skipper Jack's fried razor clams are an absolute standout—crispy on the outside and tender within, these clams are a culinary treasure. The seafood chowder also deserves a special mention. It's a bowl of warm, creamy, and thick saucy goodness that pairs perfectly with rolls slathered in butter or a side of fries. The chowder's richness and depth of flavor make it a comforting choice on any day. In short, Skipper Jack has earned a permanent place on my dining rotation. The fried razor clams alone are worth a visit, and the seafood chowder is the cherry on top. I’ll definitely be back soon to explore more of their menu.
Food was delicious We tried a few different things and shared. Loved the fried class. I could have eaten a pound of just that. Will definitely go back the next time we're down here.
While in Moncton this past Wednesday we enjoyed a delicious meal here at Skipper Jack's. It was our first time to this restaurant but it definitely won't be our last ... the food was amazing!!! The 2 piece fish and chips came with huge pieces of fish ... enough that my husband brought one home. We enjoyed it as a snack later and it was delicious. I had the lobster roll and omg, it was soooo good ... the lobster tasted so fresh and the bun was buttered and toasted perfectly. For sure one of the best lobster rolls I've ever had!!! 👍👍😋
The food is phenomenal. The seafood chowder is the best we've ever had! They make it to order, so it's super fresh anytime of day. Every bite of food was so delicious. The staff were all friendly and very professional. This is definitely on our radar every time we visit the maritimes. ❤️
The service is speedy and the staff is very friendly. The restaurant is casual and bright and the food is delicious. Definitely try the lobster roll, it’s one of the best in town! Their chowder is also a must-try, and you’ll keep coming back for more. This spot is family-friendly and the portions are generous so you’ll definitely leave satisfied. Check out their fish market after your meal, there are lots of tasty things to take away with you.
Good experience in general but not amazing. Food was not exceptional in itself and not interesting choices of drinks if you want to drink something else than alcohol. Got a good selection of desserts however. The wait was very much long before being seated but that's whatever, however once we actually were seated, we did wait a huge amount of time to place our order and to receive our meals... The table next to us came almost at the same time and got the bill way earlier than we did - we were still waiting for our meals.... I don't know what was going on with the service or in the kitchen that night, but that was disappointing - adding to the fact that the dishes themselves were mid. We won't come back, but it's worth a try, just don't set your standards too high. Pictures are looking better than what it actually tasted.
The food was great, seafood chowder was amazing, definitely worth the time .
The mates platter is my go to. Cant go wrong with scallops, clams, fish and fries.
Service was great! The fish and chips were drenched in grease. Made me squeamish.
The food served was good. Portions were just a little bit too small. Open restaurant, so a little bit noisy when full. Overall, it was a good experience.
Lovely place to enjoy your seafoods. I always have the seafood chowder whenever I visit and I never got tired of it. The service is great too.
Friendly staff, great food, huge pieces of fish. In a 2 piece fish and chips, I think I had a whole fish.
Tried the seafood chowder and fish tacos. Both were very good. Great little place, highly recommend.
Never disappointed at this restaurant. Dont miss out on Taco Tuesday; fish tacos for $3.33 each. And, not as well known, but delicious, same deal on shrimp tacos each Wednesday. Less well advertised, shrimp tacos every Wednesday for the same price. One of the best deals in town, and great for take-out.
Great
Great hot food. Never been disappointed. Will be back soon.
Best lobster roll we ve had on our east coast trip so far. Big pieces of lobster and not overly dressed. The seafood chowder was also incredible!! Friendly service as well.
Dined at Skipper Jack s at the first moment we arrived in Moncton, NB! The food and service are both astounding! Remember to order Seafood Chowder and you may never have it anywhere else!
I called a lady answered, I said hello how are you and she rudely said she was busy.
Great food and good service.
Zero keto-friendly options. But we had to improvise and scrape off sugary sauces to finish the food we ordered after we inquired ahead of time which foods contained sugars. The waitress had zero understanding of this dietary restriction. She didn t seem to care either. When the waitress came by later to ask how the meal was going, she received feedback and just said oh and walked away instead of trying to accommodate in any way. Blatant disregard and dismissal. I read it s a friendly atmosphere but we were treated with dine and get out . Like a high-turnover puppy mill. Poor treatment. For a maritimes restaurant with access to fresh seafood, we were served what tasted like microwaved lobster which was still cold/hot. Spotty. It was really strange. The rest of the dish was warm. Slapped together dish on top of sad looking salad. Portion was smaller than expected for a $40plus dish. Highly disappointed. We left hungry and ripped off. I cannot recommend this restaurant.
Awesome place! Food was fantastic. I had lobster for the 2nd time in my 50 years and it was great but i dont have much frame of reference. Draft beer was deliciously cold. Service was top notch!! Will come back our next visit east!!!
Very nice restaurant, lovely staff, lobster roll was delicious
Had the lobster roll Sunday October 27. Disappointed. Too much mayonnaise, watery and lobster at least two days old.
Very good seafood chowder
The fresh salmon is fantastic
It was alright.. I had the lobster roll, which was good but a bit too much mayo for my liking.
Excellent seafood chowder
cordial staff. Big portions. Fresh food
It is packed to capacity, most of the diners were local customers, which says a lot about the quality of the food, it is very well prepared. Among the starters we ordered squid rings and they were spectacular, the squid was soft, not chewy and the breading was light, just right. The seafood chowder was also very good. I definitely recommend the Butterball Lobster Roll, we also tried it and it is a great option as is the Cheeseburger Poutine. The lobster is always very good, we ate it hot and with butter but you can also request it cold. Parking: There is enough space to park right at the restaurant.
Generous servings, friendly staff. The food was really good and service was fast. Food
Food was okay but the service was the worst. The server was more conscious about price when we were ordering food and she kept saying once the order is placed we cannot change it! We are travelling and we went there with family to eat food - not to cancel order once it s placed. It felt really ridiculous. She didn t even serve us water or any tool/bib to eat lobster. I don t know what she was thinking. Have been to many places and restaurants, from service wise this was the worst.
Excellent lobster rolls. Fish and chips are great too! Food
The food was amazing, this is the best restaurant for fish and chips, ceasar salad was huge, great value for thw money
Food was good, service inattentive even though it didnt seem crowded.
I ordered the Lobster roll. It was the best lobster roll Ive ever had! Mustve been nearly a whole lobster in the huge bun they put it in. It also came with a side, I chose the ceasar salad, and a delicious coal slaw. Definitely will be going back! Food
My wife had fish, one of the best fish in town . I had a jack burger way too salty and got sick after
definitely local spot but personally I found the place very bland, didnt have advertised oysters or crab rolls, our scallops and clams were over fried, seafood chowder had solid ingredients but salty and very heavy on cream, our waitress didnt seem to want to be there but the front door girls were so friendly; not worth an out of the way drive but for something simple and quick
Great food
Always great seafood!
Shared the Mates Plate with a friend...lots of food done the right way...even enough for a meal or 2 tomorrow...my go-to for fish and chips in Moncton
We took a chance when we saw the restaurant online. We were not disappointed. The food was fresh. The prices were great and portions were generous. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Definitely coming back here.
The staff was excellent and food we ordered were Butter Lobster Roll, Chowder and fish and chips. Butter lobster roll and Chowder were so good. Only one negative point is that the drinking water glass were so bad fish odor
We made our journey from PA. To feast on fresh Canadian fish. The Scallops were about the worst I ever eaten. They were very small and doughy and with the upgraded onion rings which were very hard and with that very crunchy to the point almost inedibly. We waited for at least one hour before food was served. We were told the wait would be long but were hopefully worth it. We were not only disappointed but discusted.
Great place to eat! The calamari was amazing!
Oh, my, GOSH. This place is wild, the food is really good, I recommend the fish and chips. I enter heaven with every bite. The service is amazing, not like some other restaurants. This place has the service of a lifetime, they are so patient and polite towards everyone.
The food took 30-40 minutes to arrive and the waitress never told us that the food may take a while, or apologized for the wait. I would say she was relatively unwelcoming and rude. The food was not great, my $13 burger was awesome, and my boyfriend s salad was $42. For a $42 salad with lobster and shrimp, you d think there would be a decent portion. It came with four shrimp and a couple wet, unappetizing little cut off pieces of lobster. It was mostly claws which is super weird. Almost like they re just trying to use what they couldn t plate for an actual lobster dish. Super cheap. Even though my food was very good, I don t think I d recommend the place to anyone. Dietary restrictions: My boyfriend is keto so he requested no croutons in the salad. When our food was brought to the table, they put the bread on a separate plate for us, because they assumed he might be gluten intolerant. He isn t, but it was very thoughtful of them!
We ate well, the fish is very good, the staff is very nice
Skipper Jacks always has great seafood. Hard to beat the quality
Like many other travellers, we loved the food. The fresh lightly battered juicy fried clams satisfied my craving all trip long. It was called Award-winning. The seafood chowder was full of what else, seafood and some potatoes, instead of the other way around. You won t regret trying this. Also minutes from the highway for travellers.
Amazing, epic, delicious food! The highlight of our meal? The fish tacos and the crab roll! Flavors dancing in our mouths! :)
Excellent seafood chowder product and cordial customer service
Reasonably priced for the high quality of fresh fish. Excellent food, friendly and very fast service. Would highly recommend if you have a craving for fresh local fish.
Great food, quick and friendly service, would definitely recommend!
Good food
Great portions of fish!
Great food and staff! There should be a broader, $ per person on this application, as well as eat in or take out. Mind you, you can no longer order take out by phone.?.! I would say the cost per person greatly depends on the order and the person. I can easily feed two young adults on a 2 piece fish and chips. Also, the seafood platter can easily be split between my wife and I. Never leave without ordering a seafood chowder to go! It is fantastic! Update! My only huge gripe is, after eating here and ordering here for many years. You can no longer call ahead to order. When you show up to order in person, they are busy, and you will wait! For this reason alone, Im taking back a star for service. Kid-friendliness: Kids are very welcome.
My Aunt and Cousin from Moncton brought me here when I was in Moncton visiting from Ontario. (that should be enough said to assure you the place is amazing). I wish so much that I could eat here once a week but the drive is too far. It was amazing, I got the platter with fish, clams, shrimp, scallops and fries. All were perfect. I cant wait till I go back next year!
We were on a road trip and wanted to try a lobster roll. I had the butter bomb one and oh my goodness it was AMAZING. We traveled to pei and everywhere in between and having 6 lobster rolls from other places this is hands down the best. Service staff were great and engaging. We had our kids with us and they made them feel special. Food
Staff were welcoming and friendly and the food was delicious. The platter was huge and very satisfying
Did not try the resto however the fish store attached very expensive, not much selection.
Tried our first lobster roll ever. The bun was good. The lobster was fresh but not a lot of it for almost $30. The cole slaw was awful really sad and way too sweet.
The food is good. Prices are reasonable for seafood. Very standard seafood dishes - mostly deep fried fish, clams, scallops, french fries etc. The food and ambiance is very popular with a more senior clientele.
Great food and service was excellent.
Fast and friendly service.
Awesome best around
Ok this is an interesting review, when we were there last August 2023 we had a great meal the chowder was amazing, so good I went to the other side and purchased two 2kg bags of their frozen chowder to pack in a cooler and bring back to Alberta. Well! Tonight almost a year later I pulled out the last bag of chowder for dinner. It was SO DELICIOUS still!!! How, how is this still so good after being in the freezer for so long. It was in the vacuum sealed bag and a brown paper bag, no freezer burn or bad taste, it had fabulous flavor and was incredibly hardy. Cant wait for the next trip, getting 4 bags next trip home along with some of the other goodies. Thanks for making such flavorful chowder
Great place to eat ,good prices for the plate size
Food was pretty good & good size portions. I wish there was more coleslaw with all the fried items as it felt very heavy. Biggest issue was our server didn t check in on us once. We needed drinks and condiments and she didn t care to check.
Everything was excellent! Mean good ribs and my best chicken wings ever
Chose this restaurant because of its proximity to our hotel for the night. Amazing meal! The seafood chowder and fish and chips were fantastic. Restaurant was very busy, but it didnt take too long to get seated.
We really liked our meal, I recommend the lobster which is delicious. We also enjoyed a seafood soup and fish and chips. Everything was very good! Good local meals
Great food and awesome service.
Everything was so fresh and cooked perfectly. Delicious!
Gave 5* before, we come there once a month because my husband loves it. Food is great. But today we waited for about 20 mins to be seated, which we understand because it is Friday, then we have to wait for another 50 mins, almost an hour to get the whole order. My husband asked a waitress to check on our order because we saw other table that came after us already got their order, then she literally said It will come when it comes, cant make it faster. Like, we didnt even ask her to rush our food for us, just wanted to update on the order to make sure that they are working on it. We were waiting for almost an hour and that is the only one time we asked. Her attitude was horrible, seriously it is unacceptable to talk like that to customer (I work on customer service also, if customer complaint with me about the long wait, I will just apologize for that and assure them that their order is on the way) Other servers were nice, but their coworker ruined it all.
The seafood was very good. Shared a platter with my BF. Definitely good back to try the clam chowder
Great experience!! Great food great service!!
Stopped here while passing through town for lunch. Great location right off the highway. Parking was easy. Place was decently packed even for lunch but we got a table right away. Portions are huge and reasonably priced. Most importantly, food was fresh and tasty. Waitress was pleasant. All around great experience.
Food was excellent but priced a bit on the higher side. Service was very good. At time of writing 3 people for lunch was $110 for three average priced dishes.
Food is great but inside need a bit of a fresh paint
Enjoyed everything about it.
As a fellow Jack I love going to places named after me or just named Jack in general. It was a nice experience eating some of the best food I ve had in a while. They let us in with 50 minutes left to close which was nice of them. Then we ordered, it was a 50 minute wait. We waited so long due to the fact that the food was spectacular so lots of people wanted it. They let us stay to finish are meal for an extra 45 minutes which was so nice of them. I had a burger named after me so it had to be the best burger I ve ever had! My family had the lobster rolls they said it was the three Fs, Fresh, filling and fully loaded. My other family member had the muscles (she has none) she ate a whole pound of muscles which she shared a bit thankfully, they were great! Prepared perfectly and the right proportions. Cettait magnifique! Like the French say. They were bilingual which made the whole experience better! Overall it was a great time my family we had lots of food and fun. Thank you Skipper Jacks. Kid-friendliness: They re nice to everyone!
Awesome fish n chips! Had the walnut crunch batter and it was fantastic!
Disservice. My friend ordered a Chicken Club but did not receive the correct dish. The waitress persisted with him and left with the dish without another word or even an apology. She came back to say it was going to take time. Then she came back to explain without apologizing. We had to wait a good 20-30 minutes to get the correct dish we had ordered. Really disappointing.
Excellent repasm
We have family in from out of town this weekend and decided on Skipper Jacks for supper last night. The six of us arrived at 5 oclock to a VERY busy restaurant. We waited a while for seating, which was fine as we chatted and caught up. I got to see Lori, who is an absolute sweetheart. I was able to speak to her briefly as she was running around like, the rest of the staff, a chicken with her head cut off. We were seated and our lovely waitress Shelley came right over and took our drink order. A little while later we ordered our food. Because we were talking A LOT , the wait for food wasnt an issue. When my plate arrived, I was in awe. I had ordered the Mates Plate (pictured) and it was AMAZING! Everything was hot, fresh and absolutely perfect. Im not ashamed to admit that I finished everything but some of the fries, as I was sure I would explode if I emptied my plate. Thank you to ALL the staff for a magnificent visit!
What a wonderful place great food and service Parking: For the location limited spots for parking popular place Food : 5/5 |
Probably the best value seafood chowder weve ever had! I dont think weve had a seafood chowder that had so much seafood in it. Service was a bit slow, but it didnt take away from our dining experience.
Total disappointment this visit. I ordered a mates plate and extra clams. They told me 25 minutes for my take-out order. I waited almost 50 minutes. When I got home, the platter was OK and the extra clams tasted like they were ready 30 minutes earlier. Last visit there.
The butterball lobster roll was delicious!! BUT the salads were very wilted and the kitchen was exceptionally slow the servers were good.
Another fantastic place for fresh lobster with a bowl of clarified butter. I also sampled the Digby scallops wrapped in bacon.... Just delectable!! Still lacking my fingers. My friend had the lobster roll on a hoagie bun Tasty!
Best fish and chips weve ever had hands down, crispy batter and fresh fish.
Best fish & chips, best fries ever! Crispy and delicious!! The most affordable meal of my trip!
Awesome food every time
Excellent food at a great price. Big portions and an amazing value. A hidden gem and an absolute must try restaurant!
The seafood chowder is excellent.
The butterball lobster roll was great, but the seafood chowder was the best by far! Delicious and hearty with every bite full of seafood!
It was okay.
We went to eat there yesterday, with a group of 5. Even though they were super busy, the service and food was great. We took the seafood chowder, 2 fish and chips, crab roll and the chicken strips. Everyone enjoyed their lunch and we left all happy and full. Kudos to our waitress ( sorry, I dont know her name) who had to deal with very unpleasant customers behind us to say the least. Some people forget that if they cant be civil and polite towards staff they shouldnt eat out.... freaking out because you want some ice is not really it. But the waitress handled that situation very well and with a smile. Sorry no pictures as the food was so delicious I forgot to take some.
This place came highly recommended, however it very much disappointed. I gave two stars because my clams were ok and my friend said the coleslaw was ok, but the service was terrible. Customers who arrived after we did (and ordered the same/ similar fish and chip dishes) were served before we were. We waited 25 min for two of our dishes to come, while another five min went by before the dishes were brought to the rest of our party. In the meantime, several other tables who ordered after us had quickly received their plates. As far as the fish and chips, we saw plates come out for other tables where the fish portions were as big as the plate, while the ones brought to our table were barely larger than a fish stick. Speaking of the food being brought to our table, two other waitresses (who were not our waitress) brought our food as we could see our original waitress socializing with other patrons instead. When we were trying to get ready to go, we had to flag down yet another waitress to ask for to-go containers and our bills. It wasnt until it came time to pay (and tip) that our waitress came back and started socializing and being extra friendly with us. Sorry, but a bit too late.
The lobster roll is packed and the taste is perfection. Very worth a stop if youre traveling through as its only a few minutes from the TransCanada highway. The bacon wrapped scallops were also very good. Service was fast and friendly.
This was a delightful experience for my 82nd birthday. The food was delicious and staff were excellent. My bacon wrapped scallops, fries and wonderful cole slaw were veryspecial Parking: No problems parking the car with easy access to the door
Bacon wrapped maple scallops were delicious!
Nice staffs and good food. Lobster roll is tasty. I love its crispy and soft bread. And you cannot miss the smoked fish in its seafood market. The blueberry one is more smoky. The strawberry one is more creamy. It feels like a very authentic family restaurant, and everyone who comes to eat here feels like local grandparents. We ordered seafood chowder and lobster roll. The lobster roll is more recommended hhh! There is a small shop at the back, and the smoked fish inside is delicious!
Great tasting
Clams were not cooked pretty mushy
Train your waitresses to serve people who have been there sitting and waiting to be served for 30 minutes!! We were seated, waited forever to be served, a couple came in 15 minutes after us and were served right away!! Waitress was basically trying to push us away, saying its way too busy but yet one of her regulars gets served after people have been waiting for half an hour or more!! Worst waitress, extremely rude and only serves her regulars and basically whoever she feels like serving. Wont be back to this restaurant ever and I wont be recommending this place to anyone!!
The food was great and the service was superb as well! The Butterball lobster roll was delicious and I devoured it Very nice and friendly staff and we loved our waitress We ordered the bacon-wrapped scallop skewer from the appetizers, a Ships AHoy platter with an extra piece of fish, and a Butterball lobster roll with fries.
They lobster sandwich was so so.
Great food! The lobster club was delicious. I got it with sweet potato fries, which were also amazing :) will definitely be back!
The Lobster Club was very good!
Excellent food
This place looked packed. Tells you something. Lobster roll was better than I expected. Fries are the best. Coleslaw was so much better than most restaurants. Try this place.
Great service, friendly staff, and the food is delicious! My boyfriend had the lobster roll and I had the fish & chips; both were fantastic.
Seafood chowder is a must
Stopped for lunch on our way through, and will be back the next time we re in this neck of the woods. Friendly service, great options for everyone on the menu, and great quality food. Kid-friendliness: A well appointed kids menu with a mix of seafood and non seafood options
The staff are wonderful. We came in to a busy restaurant but they made us feel welcomed and served us very quickly. The staff where helpful when we were choosing our meals and gave great recommendations. The butterball lobster roll may be my new favourite meal! and they are not kidding when they say you will not have room for all the fries ( or even barely any) once you have enjoyed the roll. We will be recommending this place to our maritime family.
Excellent restaurant with supporting evidence! You are visiting the province of New Brunswick, and you want to enjoy an excellent meal in a warm atmosphere, friendly service and with very welcoming and pleasant people; I (MANIC the Coach) recommend Skipper Jacks Maritime Restaurant! See the proof in photo video! Parking: Nothing to complain about!
Such delicious, fresh food in more than ample amounts. So glad we each chose the one piece fish and chips....was VERY filling!
The texture of the fish and the unique walnut coating was the best part about my experience here. The calamari was fantastic. The whole meal was a little low on salt and seasonings (needed more herbs and spices).
Craving fried clams, got the double order, wife got the shrimp plate. Best fried clams in a long time, wife liked her food, left full. Will go back for sure.
What can you say... 5 out of 5 says enough. Locally caught fish, and great portions. Staff: 6 out of 5 for their friendliness!!
The food is about 3 or 3.5 stars but the service is about 1-2 stars. On this visit we waited almost an hour for our food and there were only 3 other couples in the dinning room. Two of those couples were already eating. They had about 6 takeout orders go out the door before our food came. We commented to the waitress that it had been a very long time and she explained that the kitchen had messed up all the takeout orders and had to redo them. As part of our meal, we ordered fries on the side, the plate was small and the fries were falling off, leaving no room for ketchup. So my wife put ketchup in the corner of her main plate and used it to dip her fries. She prefers to dip rather then put ketchup all over the fries. The waitress noticed we had finished everything but the fries and came to clear the table, but she took the ketchup plate away AS MY WIFE WAS DIPPING A FRY!!!! she claims she didnt notice. I figure its the waitresss job to notice these types of things. On our last visit (before this one) the same waitress brought our bill before we were even done eating. That mad me quite angry.
The only downside of the visit was the wait for a table; however, I think thats a testament to the quality, portions and service. Was such a good find! Would highly recommend Skipper Jacks we had the surf&turf Caesar salad, the fish & chips and the fish tacos and the kids had poutine and chicken nuggets - our adult meals were all super good in both taste and quantity!
Excellent seafood. You wont be disappointed. Parking: Parking is pretty tricky but its worth it Food : 5/5 |
Food is so good here. 2nd time. Id def. Go again!!
The service was excellent. The lobster roll was disappointing. I have had much better lobster rolls else where.
The food is really good and tasty!!
All fried fish and sea food
The service and food were Excellent!
Best seafood Ive even had. The lineup to get in says it all. Dont miss out on this one if you get the chance.
Stopped in for a lunch and was impressed, homemade fries, homemade coleslaw, and lightly battered fried clams were all well executed and seasoned well. Their fish and chips are huge look so appetizing, that will be explored during my next visit. The building has their restaurant and fish market, both places were clean and staff was prompt and friendly.
We always go to Skipper Jacks when in Moncton.
Great food and great service
Great food and friendly service. Best value in the area.
We were in NB from ON for a tournament and visited Skipper Jacks for lunch. Almost all of our food was absolutely amazing. I only gave a 4 star instead of 5 because 2 of our group said that the fish and chips was bland. Wait staff was very friendly and curteous. Will definitely go back if ever in NB again!
Been wanting to eat here for the last 4 years. We finally made the time. Great food! We might go back to try different things. We shared the Ship s Ahoy ultimate platter, the fish was delicious but its overpriced for $42. The quantity is not worth the price that was charged for mostly deep fried food. However, the bacon wrapped scallops were to die for! Parking: Parking fills up pretty fast when they are busy
nice fish amd chips
Great and delicious food! Extremely friendly staff
The food was AMAZING!!! But if you decide to listen to me, I would bring a device because the service is really slow and is especially slow on special events. For food, this place is recommended. I would recommend the butterball lobster roll. It is rolled in butter and is packed with amazing tender lobster meats.
Fresh and delicious food, great service. Exceptional, a jewel !!
Great value for seafood.
The food was excellent. Had 2 waitresses serving us, which was excellent and fast
The fish and chips were awesome and the portion was huge. Would highly recommend it!
Excellent
Always enjoy our meal. Had the Mates Plate awesome
Expensive and would like some fish with my batter ,fish inside the batter was tiny , tasted good tho
We went to eat supper tonight;...Hope youre not in a rush to eat,we waiting 15 min to get a table and 32 min after we ordered ,we got our food... My girlfriend ordered seafood chowder, not a bad price but looked like a potatoe puree, taste wasnt bad though. Ive ordered the biggest seafood plate: shrimps, bacon wrapped scallops, fishn chips and fries. Didnt want any fried clams, and had a lobster roll too... Then I started eating the fish and chip wasnt fully cooked and batter was too soft inside. Scallops were good but bacon was too hard. The only thing that was ok was the shrimps. The lobster roll had lots of lobster but not enough mayo and lettuce and the bun was too thick.... But shortly after we left restaurant we both had to go to washroom with upset stomach.... We wont go back there.
Absolutely delicious. Fresh, juicy, crispy AND generous portions. Dessert was also amazing had the cheesecake (to take away cause of a full tummy lol)) Great Service. Worth every cent. (Bill was 140$ / people but purchased 3 full meal a dessert and each two drinks) So price IS reasonable) Was our first time my spouse and I have eaten here and before finishing our meals WE VOWED to make it a tradition to eat here every time we are to visit Moncton. Parking: This was on spring break and as regular leisure visitors we noticed Moncton was buzzing a quite a bit more with the younger crowd even hotels were full of teens on spring break. Restaurant was packed and with a wait time to be seated but there was still A Parking spot in the restaurants lot ( but if full it much street parking available near )
Great staff. Expect a little bit of a wait if you arrive at peak times. The food is fantastic. Large portions and reasonable prices.
