Very high end dining in Moncton. Full course menu put together by a professional chef. The service is white glove and makes you feel very fancy. Expect to drop a healthy bit of coin on the bill but its a nice experience to have. The restaurant has a ship theme but felt a little small and dark.
Apparently the chef changed and this USED to be a great restaurant sadly it is no longer. While the sparkling wine greeting and table side flambé are nice gimmicks they do not make up for the mediocre food especially considering the high cost. The amuse bouche was a cold cabbage roll stuff with chicken salad it didn't amuse our palettes. If you're going to give a free starter it should really excite you want the coming meal this had the opposite effect. The appetizers were also not great. I had to ask for salt and balsamic vinegar to give some flavour to the dry burata and tasteless tomatoes (they were not heirloom). The cauliflower soup was sickly sweet. As for the mains... The steak was fine no better than the keg. The duck was underwhelming and rubbery and tough and again way too sweet. The dessert was like a frozen store bought cheesecake with an inedible garnish. The service was forgetful, and rushed, trying to take away dishes before they were even finished. All in all we don't ever be returning and very disappointing considering this used to be one of the best restaurants in Moncton.
This was our first time visiting the Windjammer, even though my wife and I are both Moncton residents. I absolutely loved how tucked away and cozy it felt. The service was incredibly attentive, and the meal itself was wonderful fine dining experience.
Horrible service and little to no skill in the kitchen.The chef destroyed not 1 but 2 cuts of chateaubriand due to improper cooking. We ordered med-rare and the 2 attempts we were given were very far off. The servers were argumentative when questioned about the cook on them as well. They said that the internal temp was 130* so it has to be med-rare….so in other words as long as the center is 130* that’s a properly cooked med-rare. It made no difference that the majority of the meat was well done. The cow that provided this meat died in vain, twice. We complained both times and both times the servers made us feel like we were in the wrong with no admission of them screwing up. The chef made us 2 cuts of tenderloin to correct the errors, and they were cooked properly, but that’s not what we ordered. The bill came and we were charged in full for something we didn’t even eat and for something we didn’t order. Please see the photo posted on how uneven the cook of the steak was. Rare in some places, well done in others, just all over the place. Service was awful. I had an empty drink on the table for 1.5 hours and was never offered refill or something different. Well why didn’t I just ask if I wanted another drink? Because at a “high end” restaurant like this, I should not have to, it should be noticed. I wanted to see if anybody was paying attention The lady that presented the châteaubriand had no idea how to cut it, it was embarrassing watching her try. The rest of the team was unfriendly, inattentive and unwilling to make things right. Little Louis’ being this restaurant’s main competition, would have been beyond apologetic and rectified the situation. This highlights that the Windjammer is a sub par restaurant comparable to Applebys that wants to charge top dollar despite lack of skill in the kitchen and poor service. A truly awful experience…and on my birthday as well. We will never be back and we will make sure to advise anyone we talk to, to not go there.
WOW! Really there are no adequate words to truly convey the experience we had! You simply must try this restaurant for yourself to understand how stellar everything is. We didn’t have just one server, rather we had a team of servers and they were top notch! Their watchful eyes kept our table clean, our drinks and water topped, and our food orders impeccably accurate. They were an incredible blend of high class, flavored with wit and humor. Each server went above and beyond, and never once were they hovering or overbearing. The food was just unbelievable! From the sweetest, most decadent lobster to the rooftop (yes they have a rooftop garden and apiary) herbed butter, honey lavender pallet cleansers, and locally baked breads, to the locally grown; Amherst wild rice and divine house wine, this place was beyond our wildest expectations!!! The Cesar Salad was stunning. The crème brûlée and flambé strawberries were simply spectacular. We were so flabbergasted with the experience and food that we asked to meet the chef who made our food. All I can say is go. Experience. Prepare to have your culinary taste buds blown away. Prepare to experience service beyond excellence! Prepare to crave the experience over and over and over!
This used to be my favourite restaurant in NB when I really wanted to be spoiled. I used to make the drive to eat here at least once a year. Under the guidance of the the long time maître D’ Frederick, it was amazing. He was not there, and this restaurant should not open without him!! The food was disappointing, burnt, and overdone and the service was even worse. Half an hour to get the beer menu and then no offer of drinks again till the end of the meal. No refills of bread even after they were requested,a glass of red wine ordered was never delivered. Chateaubriand was over cooked - steak was so thin on my son- in- laws plate it would have been impossible to get a sear and have it medium rare– of course it came well done. No one checked in to see how our food was. I can’t even begin to say how terrible it was! At the end of the meal it became so bad that it was almost comical when they came at the end of our meal and offered us ground pepper. For what? We were done. They had a 4 Diamond rating - that’s not going to remain If they keep delivering the quality of food and service

One of my new personal favorite restaurants in Moncton. Firstly, the atmosphere is truly unique. The service is also quite remarkable and personnal, which is not something you see everyday. Secondly, many appetizers are included in the price, such as a variety of breads and butter. One appetizer that we ordered was the ceasar salad which was prepare right in front of us from scratch. The portions here are very generous, and everything on the menu is fresh so the quality really makes up for the few extra dollars you would have saved else where. Overall this restaurants makes for a very pleasant and memorable experience.

Quiet- no thumpa thumpa Euro-pop gangsta rap. Full service. Striploin ordered medium rare came out medium. Mushrooms tasted as if sauted in an unhappy oil. Caesar salad was fine - prepared table side so I eschewed egg. Nicely decorated though it lacks windows, which we didnt miss. Needs a couple more choices for all courses. Wines were well chosen though the mark-up in Canada is astounding. Comfortable seating.

From the moment we arrived, we were treated with the most friendliest, professional, kindest people who made our 27th anniversary experience memorable! Fantastic spot for fine dining in Moncton. We enjoyed a dinner here while traveling through New Brunswick on our way to PEI. Our meal was expertly prepared and service was top notch. Windjammer impressed! Highly recommend.
Steak tar tar to begin. Crab cake and smoked Salmon next. Rack of Lamb and Prime strip. Great meal concludes with Amaretto and Grand Marnier. Fantastic meal all around with top not service. Trying to look like a high end place but the feel is just wrong
Great service and food.
The first time I took my husband here, it was a great experience. However, we were in Moncton and wanted to take my sister and her husband and this time the experience was less than favourable. It took a very long time for anyone to take our order. I tried to order 2 different styles of sparkling but they were both out. I ordered my steak rare and it showed up well done. I sent it back, because that s quite the difference and by the time it came out again the rest of the table was done eating. When the waitress set it down she said here s your medium rare steak . I ate anyways since I did not want to have to wait for it to be remade a second time. I did not finish everything on my plate and they did not ask me if I wanted to take it. As a side note - nothing was compensated off the bill either (which normally I m fine with, but I feel like the whole dining experience was a disaster and the restaurant did nothing to try and remedy the situation). I m giving the restaurant 2 stars because the first experience was great, but I don t think I would go back or recommend based on my most recent experience.
My wife and I last night for the first time since COVID. We drove from Ottawa. We love this restaurant and have often diverted from our journey s straight path East to NL to enjoy a meal here. We were worried it had changed and the absence of Frederick at the front door momentarily created concern. However, we were greeted warmly by the wait staff team and given one of those wonderful booths that took us back to so many other fantastic evenings We ordered the tasting menu which included the famous Caesar Salad prepared at your table. How would it be without the suave Frederick? Then along came Caleb: young, soft-spoken, confident, professional, comfortable. He created that wonderful salad that is so worth the drive. The rest of the meal, the experience, the staff, the ambiance were all amazing. The person responsible for selecting and training staff at the Windjammer should be cloned. We look forward to many more visits.
Positioned as a fancy restaurant, but half of the menu was not available. Service is amazing though. Would make a decent date sortie, just enquire on the menu in advance JIC.
It is Dec. 9th 2022, and last weekend my company held its annual Christmas party at The Delta Beau. Food was good, and the bussing staff was quick, efficient, and very polite. The Hall and the area reserved for us was Immaculate. The biggest flaw, and I chose that word specifically, was the bar and service to such. An EXTREMELY limited selection was made available. Couldnt get a white Russian for my GF, which is an extremely common drink round here, nor could I get a scotch or rusty nail to drink for myself. Was told to go to the main bar (Windjammers) and they refused to allow me to order and bring my drinks of choice up the stairs to my party. Very displeased and disappointed. Windjammers and the Delta will not be considered for any of my own celebrations or banquet needs. But this is only my opinion so take it with a grain of salt.
There were four of us for dinner. Very high-end food and very delicious. Service was great.
Hoping to visit again soon, once it is possible I hope that Frédéric is still in charge! It has consistently been the best restaurant in Moncton and possibly one of the best in Canada. Would love to get an update from anyone who has been here recently

Went there for a event. Staff was very attentive and was well set up. Food was prompt even though the party got started later than it was supposed to.
A true hidden gem. Small intimate restaurant hidden in the bank of Delta Beausejour. Excellent service, food and beverages. Be sure to order the table side ceaser salad. FYI the Windjammer is 1 of 2 restaurants in Canada who have win the CAA /AAA 4 diamond award over 25 years in a row.
My class came here for a business luncheon. I love the old time feel and the presentation of the food is quite beautiful. This is a high end spot for sure. Our waiter and waitress were both very kind to. I am hoping to go here again in the future.

We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary at the restaurant. All of the staff was made aware of our anniversary. The food was superb and the staff added extras. The staff work was extraordinary! They made us feel important and kept continual contact with us by personalizing what they did. We appreciate them and will all again!

One word.... AMAZING!!!! We went for my friends 40th birthday party. The whole evening was a treat. The service was incredible and the food was culinary experience. It was my first time and it will not be my last.

We have been going to the windjammers for 30 years now and Im not sure that we will return. It was my birthday and my husband had made a reservation and when we got there , they didnt see our name so we had to wait, finally Frederic recognized us and to greet us and said, no worries, we will accommodate you but until he came that young girl was gonna send us back.They changed chefs about 4 months ago the waitress said but they also changed all the staff except the heart of the restaurant Frederique. The service and food used to be out of this world, it was an experience to go eat there. We go there usually for birthdays and special events, appx 4 to 5 times a year. The waitress did not know her menu and told us we dont have fois gras they do have it but they changed where they put it in the menu. She forgot to bring us utensils, we had to ask. I had to get up and ask for butter, they didnt check on us hardly. We ordered a tomahawk steak that was 135 00$(just for the steak not the sides). We had asked for medium well and it came still very bloody and probably the chewiest steak I ever had and so full of chunks of fat. When they asked, I was honest and said its actually quite chewy and most of it is fat. She said Ill talk to my supervisor, when she came back she didnt say a word and pretended like I had never complained and gave us our cheque. We payed for our meal and will not go back***do not order and waste your money, go to the Keg** To the management, Frederic cant serve everyone alone, he was running around that night from table to table to help the staff that should not be on the floor before learning the menu or have proper etiquette. We were there appx. 3 hours and didnt have dessert because it was beyond slow and frustrating. I used to brag this place to everyone that would listen but I wont be bragging it for the same reason anymore.

Overall - I would NOT recommend this establishment for coloured individuals or customer service. Ive had many fine dining experiences in Toronto and this was the only one that did not live up to its category. Im surprised to have had a negative experience in fine dining at any Canadian establishment, especially in metropolitan cities. WINDJAMMER IS APPALLINGLY DISORGANIZED. We had four servers during our dining experience and not one of them introduced themselves. An older woman with a pixie styled haircut sounded like she was patronizing my partner and I. There was another younger woman who appeared to have a lot of attitude and just plainly seemed rude. The youngest woman spilled food on me. I had to ask additional serviettes to clean myself up. No complimentary services not replacement for the meal was offered for this debacle. Also, she made contact with the cart onto another table and almost hitting someone. The last server was decent. He was polite, friendly and attentive. I feel 75% of the servers that night lacked training to work in a customer oriented environment AND sensitivity training as well. I felt discriminated against throughout the dining experience. I observed the servers treated the other patrons differently than I was. I never felt this way and especially at a supposedly fine dining establishment. Im paying for premium and I expect respect and excellent customer service along with the food. Regarding the food, they were decent but not as great compared to the ones in Toronto. I had difficulty enjoying my food when throughout the ordeal, I felt disrespected. I WOULD NEVER RETURN TO SUPPORT THIS RACIST RESTAURANT NOR RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE.

We went there last night for our 21st Anniversary, the food was really good & the service was great! :) The only thing I was disappointed with, was that I didnt notice there were no s after scallop & shrimp, in the $18 appetizer option, so I was pretty shocked when I received my plate, with only 1 of each! Pan seared Bay of Fundy Scallop and Jumbo Shrimp - 18
