this is normally one of my favorite spots however, my recent visit was quite disappointing. Many people were talking even in areas designated for complete silence. People were so loud in the whisper zone that I could hear them from inside the barrel sauna. This is very disruptive to a spa experience that is supposed to be tranquil. I did not hear staff In the past, staff has made a point to impart the expectations to guests upon arrival as well as having staff members keeping an eye on the premises to ensure that the rules are being respected, however, I did not see this during my recent visit at all. When I tried to speak to staff, they said there was not anything they could do. I am very hesitant to come back now after my recent experience.

Went with my partner on a rainy Wednesday (3pm-close) for the thermal experience and dinner and had a wonderful experience in every aspect. The grounds of the spa are beautiful and serene. Everything was clean. It was not crowded at all which was nice-- we often had rooms or pools to ourselves. The thermal experience itself is wonderful. We tried nearly every room and pool. The yurts are super cozy and the panoramic relaxation room is beautiful. We loved the salt exfoliation too. The robes we got were high-quality and comfortable. As long as you thoroughly towel yourself off before putting it on, they won't get soaked. Ours lasted comfortably the whole time we were there. We each got the table d'hôte (appetizer, entree & dessert of choice for $49) and shared, and everything was unique and delicious, and the portions were very reasonable given the quality and price. Our waiter was super friendly (young man with dark hair, I think his name started with an A?) and the food came out fast (the restaurant was pretty empty while we were there). All of the spa staff were friendly and we had no issues checking in with our pre-paid entry and reservation. We are university students/first-time spa-goers who went as a post-exams treat and we will definitely be returning.

Had an overall pleasant experience. The atmosphere was serene and relaxing, perfect for unwinding. The variety of saunas and cold pools was impressive, allowing for a refreshing thermal experience. However, it can get a bit crowded at times, which slightly detracts from the tranquility. The food at the bistro was delicious, though the menu options were somewhat limited The only downside was the massage. While the therapist was kind and attentive, she seemed hesitant to apply more pressure, even after I expressed that it was okay. This was a bit disappointing since I paid good money for it , but the rest of the experience made up for it. Great facility. Out in nature enough. Cute views when in the sauna and hot tubs. There are a few zones for silent, quiet and low voice talking, it's subtle it's written on some signs. Not everyone follows the but for the most part people had good spa étiquette when I went (Friday during the day). There wasn't staff coming to check on noise. Différent aroma therapy in the steam rooms. Also like that there were signs to indicate the temp of the cold baths. I like that there is real firewood (some outside, some inside) and salt exfoliation. Check in was quite fast as well with the front desk being very efficient.

I loved this spa. Prices were fair. It was very relaxing 😌 clean and classy. I had a wonderful experience. I rated it 3 stars only because the guest I brought with me accidentally left her bank card in her robe. She called to inform them and they said they would call her back to retrieve it. No one called her back but one of the staff must have found her card because they started making purchases on it, she started to get charged for bubble teas and tickets etc… We are investigating it and so should the owners/managers.

Truly great experience. I have been going to Strom for many years now, but this location for the first time. Absolutely amazing right in the middle of woods. You feel so close to the nature. It is relaxing and mind clearing. The service was very good. We went during the week day so obviously not a lot of people. Enjoyed every single minute there. One remark though, waitress was taking to us like we're dumb asking questions about the menu and what is in the dishes assuming we know what each thing means.

It was a great experience! Everything was clean and the changing rooms are so nice including straighteners, hair blow dryers, q-tips, lotion… the showers also includes shampoo, conditioner and body wash which smelled amazing! I got a charcuterie plate and it was around 30$. It was a big site for a spa. I definitely recommend a visit.

A Nightmare at Strom Spa Dishonest, Disrespectful, and Fraudulent I m writing this review after the most horrible and stressful experience at Strom Spa, where my boyfriend and I went for what was supposed to be a relaxing day. Instead, it turned into a disaster filled with dishonesty, unauthorized charges, and outright theft. We enjoyed our visit, or so we thought, until the next day when the spa called us claiming that we were THREE people instead of two. This was a complete lie it was just the two of us. They insisted that they needed to charge us more for an imaginary third person. Naturally, we argued with them, pointing out how ridiculous and false their accusation was. We explicitly refused to pay anything beyond the original transaction, thinking the issue was resolved. Unfortunately, Strom Spa had already taken our credit card information for the initial payment, and they abused it. A week later, we discovered they had charged us double the original amount without our consent. Let me repeat that: they made an unauthorized charge to our credit card after we clearly refused to pay any extra. This is not just unethical it s outright theft. What kind of business operates this way? Strom Spa is completely dishonest, and their behavior is beyond unprofessional. They don t care about their customers at all. They accuse you of false charges, disregard your objections, and then steal money from your credit card. It s outrageous and unacceptable. If you re considering going to Strom Spa, think twice. They might seem luxurious and professional on the surface, but behind the scenes, they are scammers who take advantage of their customers. My advice? Do NOT give them your credit card information under any circumstances. Save yourself the headache, the stress, and the financial loss. Strom Spa should be ashamed of their behavior. They ruined what was supposed to be a peaceful, relaxing day. Instead of feeling refreshed, we left feeling robbed and disrespected. Absolutely disgusting business practices. My girlfriend and I went to Strom Spa for a nice, peaceful day together. The visit itself seemed fine nothing extraordinary, but decent enough. Then, the next day, I get a call from them claiming that we were THREE people instead of two. This was completely false. It was just my girlfriend and me the entire time, and there was absolutely no confusion about that. They insisted on charging me for this imaginary third person. Naturally, I argued with them over the phone and told them this wasn t acceptable. I refused to pay more. I thought that was the end of it, but boy, was I wrong. A week later, they went ahead and charged my credit card DOUBLE the original amount. Let me be crystal clear: this was completely unauthorized. They used my credit card information from the first transaction to steal money from me. This isn t just bad business it s straight-up theft. They didn t even try to resolve the situation or offer any explanation. Instead, they doubled down on their false accusations and took the money anyway. I feel completely disrespected and robbed. What kind of business operates like this? Strom Spa is a sham. They don t care about their customers, only about squeezing as much money out of you as possible, even if it means resorting to fraudulent behavior. I cannot stress this enough: DO NOT give them your credit card information. They will abuse it, just like they did to me. This place should be shut down for its shady practices. Beautiful place where you can enjoy beautiful relaxation areas. I like the well-oriented swimming pool to enjoy the warm rays of the sun. Downside: these wealthy retired ladies for whom whispering seems unknown and in relaxation areas, and everywhere ! Two groups of two of these ladies spoke louder than the sounds of waterfalls... In the waiting room for treatment, we could only hear these ladies. Employees should, like a few years ago, make rounds to respect calm and whispering. We dont go to the spa to hear Madame Thing talk about her life and chat without embarrassment.

Yesterday morning, I called the Spa to see if I could buy a gift certificate and pay in cash so I wouldnt have to travel for nothing. I was told yes but have the exact amount. So no problem, I go to the spa and they refuse to let me pay in money because I am not currently a customer on the site. Quite disappointing. The baths werent hot enough... I reported this to the receptionist, but she advised me to go talk to the people outside. The large pool was dirty, and there was a group of teenagers talking very loudly, without anyone warning them. When we left, there was no more tea available. Additionally, the fireplace did not work. It took us over 15 minutes to enter the spa at 10 a.m., even though we had already booked our tickets online. Their ecommerce experience is incredibly clunky, with multiple systems that don t seem to communicate with each other. While the sauna by the river is a standout feature, the overall experience was disappointing. They try to mask the highway noise with music, but it doesn t help. The service at the coffee shop was subpar, and the pastries were lackluster.

We had a great day at the SPA, the massages were very good. But the billing makes the experience lose all its charm. I was charged 2x the entrance fees to the bath, an amount of $150. So I called customer service to resolve the problem, but they did not see the error in the system. So I wrote by email to [email protected] to resolve the problem with them. Its already been 17 days since I received any response. I therefore had to take steps to stop the payment with my bank. I still lost more than two hours with all that. This makes it seem a bit like the company is trying to defraud you.

I am grateful for the many spa experiences in my life but unfortunately this time at Strøm spa nordique / Mont-Saint-Hilaire was a bit uneventful and borderline disappointing. There are 3 major points of concern: not adhearing to the silence rule, wearing footware inside the saunas, and lack of heat in the warming pools and fireplaces. It would be nice if the attendants who are walking around could enforce the silence rule so that visitors can enjoy their time expecting serenity in a space that they pay for. I also wish that the front desk could remind visitors that footware should not be worn inside the saunas because it tracks dirt and small rocks which make the saunas filthy and uncomfortable to walk in. Lastly, again with the attendants, I wish they were more attentive to the fires and temperatures of the spa stations. I am not sure I would go back to this location and hope that the quality of the facilities improve.

Zero experience!!! To avoid in winter, we freeze them!! Few truly chill relaxation areas with a warm atmosphere, lots of people (on a Sunday, we expected it but places are expensive in the relaxation areas). There is no systematic system for warming towels outside so you walk around all day with a cold wet bathrobe. Honestly not great, it takes away all the relaxation from the place. I might go back in summer but not for sure, the site is actually quite small and you can hear the road quite close

I read the reviews before going there and I was scared. The bath experience was good. I was disappointed because there was no guided meditation as mentioned in the dry saunas but everything else was good, very nice staff. However! I had a facial and it deserves 1 star. I gave it 3 because the baths are good. The facial treatment, first of all it didnt remove my blackheads her hands were FREEZING, I understand that it may be out of our control but an apology would have been appreciated. She told me that the table was heated but it didnt heat up at all. I came out of there completely freezing. She offered me a hair treatment for $15 extra. I asked him if I was going to have disgusting hair and how it would go away. She told me to just rinse and shampoo tonight and it will be ok. I had to shampoo 6 times to get it to go away. It was EXTREMELY greasy. EXTREMELY disappointed with all of this. I would never take treatments at the strom spa again. The person who I wont name was very nice on the other hand but I felt that she was just starting out and didnt know her products, she was looking and it took a long time between each application.

Very disappointing experience for a place where the goal is to relax. We went on a Friday evening so maybe if I had gone on a weekday during the day it would have been different. People really dont respect silence: in areas of silence, people whisper or even speak out loud. When youre in the sauna relaxing and someone opens the door and starts talking about their life out loud, I dont know how you can relax. I was very surprised to see some people diving into the pool as if we were on a water slide. In itself, I do not blame people for behaving like this but rather Strøm Spa for not having staff who ensure peace and silence. The locker rooms arent very clean either.

What a magnificent site! However, our experience was less satisfactory than in the past. During the back visits silence was not respected. Although several signs were posted everywhere, in all the basins it was constantly being talked about. We heard conversations about the price of groceries to medical diagnostics going through work...although we reported to the staff there, nothing changed. However, on the site, there are a few designated places to chat. It would be important to notify visitors and reinforce this instruction which allows them to enjoy real relaxation.

I rarely give negative reviews, because I find it boring for the company. However, just today I had the worst experience at Stromspa. It s packed for a Tuesday and it speaks extremely loudly. No whispering, really big conversations and laughter. There is no one monitoring to notify people. There s even someone chewing peanuts next to me right now. There are no chairs available outside, because people leave their towels to reserve them as if they were in the south. We agree, I had a massage, I took the thermal experience and I had dinner there $$$. I only come out angry and not relaxed from my Tuesday day. In addition, I spent the day in a poorly fitting bathrobe with the right to only one non-exchangeable towel. RIDICULOUS! I scrapped my money that I had saved hard for my relaxation time.

Heres a spruced-up version of your spa day tale: Once upon a time, I frequented the serene Nordisk Spa in Gatineau, so you can imagine my letdown when I ventured to Mont Saint Hilaire. Picture this: only three dry saunas to choose from. One was hotter than a dragons armpit at 200F, and another, the barrel, looked like it hosted a mud wrestling event - and not the fun kind where everyones invited. That left me with, count it, one viable option. But wait, theres more! The cooling pools had missing tiles, and the walls sported stains. The paths were narrower than a supermodels diet plan, and if you needed the loo? Gents, you had one shot, because the other was as broken as my dreams of a relaxing day. But hey, it is what it is, right? A day at the spa or a cautionary tale? You decide.

Seriously we humans don t understand the beautiful meaning of doing a spa day. This spa is wonderful located in a great nature spot. The installations are modern and pretty. The only problem: US, humans. So here a little reminder of what to do inside a Nordic spa: 1) don t use your cell phone at all, leave it at the locker 2) keep silence shhhhh. Going with your partner? Whisper, touch, look each other practice sensuality. Go with friends, go to the restaurant and talk :) 3) pick up your tea and water recyclable cups and put them in the right place. 4) don t make noises, don t bring aluminum water bottles that when they fall on the floor make noises there is people really sleeping and relaxing. Respect please. Kudos to the men in black keeping this place as a nice and peaceful paradise. I love Strom and I thank you for these quiet spaces where we can connect with nature and ourselves

I went a few times to the Strøm spa in Mont-Saint-Hilaire. The wait at reception is really too long. The computer system seems outdated, making it difficult for employees to work. Loaned equipment such as bathrobes and towels are worn, faded and discolored (grayish). The place seems poorly maintained, unclean. In the mens locker room, no toilet was functional. The restaurants food seems to have lost slightly in quality. The service was slow and they got the order wrong. The positive points are the friendliness of the staff and the beauty of the exterior landscape.

Really nice location. On the other hand, watch your bills after your visit!!!!!! They added extra bath access to our credit card tomorrow for no reason! We had to contact them and the refund is still to come Still surprising that they charge more than $100 too much in the space of a few hours, but they can only refund within 10 to 15 working days. What a waste of time!!! No explanation. No mea culpa, No apology from them. Really, really disappointed with the customer service! We will choose other locations in the future.

Ive generally had good experiences, but this last time not at all. Firstly there was no music in the saunas and the lady next to the tea and massages told us in a passive aggressive tone that it was because it was too hot. But its not very relaxing to hear the door close and open with the sound of water. Finally, the restaurant was very disappointing. Nothing was seasoned, the root vegetables were more present than the proteins and the black garlic focaccia was more like brown bread and didnt taste like black garlic at all. The cut of the gravlax was a bit grotesque and the straciatella of the buratta was dominated by cottage cheese. Not to mention the corn on this dish which was not mentioned on the menu. That being said, the cocktails were very good, perfectly balanced and the service was also excellent.

Beautiful facilities. I really loved my massage and body treatment. The staff is very professional and the food delicious The only downside is that it was a little too cold in several rest areas (too little wood fire and yurts). I was too cold to take the rest time I should have after doing the hot and cold cycle. Even the hot baths werent hot enough compared to the other spas Ive been to, so a little disappointing at this level. On the other hand, the rest was impeccable and the site is absolutely beautiful!!

Super rude staff, and impatient at the reception gave us poor service. Not even able to realize that an obese person is not given a small dressing gown. It is visually disturbing to ask for an appropriate size. Later we realize that the dress is unstitched, we ask to change it and she gives us a speech to the effect that she should charge us $15 and that she is doing us a favor to change it. WELL NO youre not doing us a favor, you cheeky little thing, Ill pay like everyone else, give me a dressing gown in good condition. A little girl in her 20s with red hair. Plus, 2 soups and a microscopic brie for $70 is overpriced, plus well come and offer you bread for $1 for 5 pieces. Do not eat there!!! To top it off, when I asked at the entrance for a paper copy of the invoice, they printed it on a worn sheet with all the personal and billing information of another customer on the back!!! Worst experience Ive ever had at this spa, were not going back there again. This place is clearly due for a change of ownership. Ahhh yes, and its not very clean.

Very disappointed with my experience at Strøm Spa Mont-St-Hilaire. Despite a reservation by telephone, confirmed at the low season rate, I was billed an additional amount of $80.50 upon my arrival. The staff was cold and unsympathetic to this error. As a regular customer, I expected better service. Difficult to reach them by phone, and the showers were not clean. The only positive thing was the baths, which were nice. I sent an email to the spa hoping that someone would eventually respond

BE CAREFUL OF THEIR NON-FLEXIBLE AND.. ILLEGAL CANCELLATION POLICY!! They slyly write that no cancellation or modification is possible for any reservation at the baths. This is completely illegal!! I will file an official complaint with the Consumer Protection Office. --------- I wanted to test your reservation system before purchasing your Black Friday promotion to understand how to use the discount gift card. To my dismay, I realize that the cancellation policy is RIDICULOUS. Not even 5 minutes after my reservation, I cant modify or cancel it?? And this, even 2 weeks before the chosen date? It is illegal to charge a consumer for a good/service that was not received, so even if someone does not show up, it is illegal (see Lambert Avocats article regarding cancellation fees) ! Under article 13 of the Consumer Protection Act (L.p.c.): The stipulation which imposes on the consumer, in the event of non-performance of his obligation, the payment of costs, penalties or damages, the amount or percentage of which is fixed in advance in the contract, other than the accrued interest. Under article 11.4 of the L.p.c., no stipulation can exclude the application of articles 2125 and 2129 of the Civil Code of Quebec. These articles allow the customer to unilaterally terminate contracts. The entrepreneur is then required to return the sums he would have received from the latter. Consequently, the provisions of the Civil Code become public order for the merchant who provides a good or service to a consumer. In this sense, a consumer will be able to terminate any contract they have with this business, without the approval of the business being necessary. The way you indicate your cancellation policy is also very misleading, we read that we have 48 hours before the appointment to cancel. Only, if you dont read until the end of the big paragraph, you dont realize that there is a separate policy for baths, massages and treatments. However, when I make my reservation, I click on Thermal Experience, then a second time in the calendar, it is clearly written Thermal Experience. Why display the massage and treatment policy if you are in the Thermal Experience section?

Attention Harnache *** I hope you read until the end because it goes from twist to twist. Real nightmare! I dont know if all Stom Spas have the same policies so the one Im going to tell you about here is the STROM SPA MONT-ST-HILAIRE. I purchased a package for $249.00, a Christmas gift for my son and his partner, on December 6, 2024. It is possible to make the purchase online but I also took the trouble to write an email to asked for details and the answers were satisfactory: the package could be used for an unlimited period, on weekends and during the week without restriction. My son and his partner were, 10 months later, on Saturday October 5, 2024 (not a year not 18 months, not 2 years), so within the same year, they went to the Strom Spa Mont-St -Hilaire and the tall, young lady, around 25-30 years old, at the entrance scanned their ticket and upon seeing the package told them that the Strom Spa no longer offered this package. The EVENING GASTRONOMY package had become An entry to the thermal experience period!! the Evening Gastronomy package which included (read this carefully!!!): at any time after 5 p.m. **2 people including high season **An entry to the thermal experience from 5 p.m.** a starter or dessert at the choice** a Nordic plate of your choice **A glass of wine (or another drink of equal or lesser value) **rental of a bathrobe, a towel and a locker** tip not included. This is exactly what it says in the contract . Because it s a contract, make no mistake. I purchased and paid in advance $249.00 for what I have just listed and returned to the door the young lady simply replied that the package was no longer available, that it was NO LONGER AVAILABLE. The Srom Spa does not respect its commitments. !!! THEY LURE YOU TO THEIR SITE WITH NICE PACKAGES AND WHEN YOU GO THERE, THEY CAN TELL YOU, JUST LIKE THAT, THAT THE OFFER IS NO LONGER VALID and exchange it for anything. Indeed this does not stop there. The young woman said that what it was possible to have for this Evening Gastronomy package was an entry (for 2) to the thermal experience That s it WHAT!!! This is where it becomes even more wonderfully nightmarish and delirious!!! As they hadnt eaten since the couple was expecting the gift package that I described above, they said... Ok were going to come back because we have to go to dinner we havent eaten yet (my son and his partner decided to go eat elsewhere, imagining that the prices at the Strom Spa were going to be rather high and it was not planned for them so I understand them, it was their gift, it was not supposed to create a expense) After the evening was too late and they are returned home having decided to come back another time. The next morning they realized that there was only $22.99 left on their package because the lady had scanned the package and debited the amount for what she had offered them: entry to the thermal experience for two and the balance of $249 was $22.99 and they never went to their thermal experience since they went out to have dinner. No but what a nightmare!!! I cant even imagine a worse harness. I tried to get on the line, waited 1h30 and decided to hang up. The ticket having been scanned, how do you now want us to have justice, it s absurd. NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN WILL I GO to a Strom Spa and I will tell my story as many times as the opportunity presents itself. As a real estate broker, I have sometimes given packages as gifts. Never again the Strom Spa.

Im not in the habit of giving a negative review but my experience at the strom spa was ordinary enough for me to take some time to not recommend this place. First of all, just getting admission to the site takes forever while queuing outside, big lack of organization and management. Then, the bathrobes and towels provided are worn, thin, grayish and shabby which is unacceptable at the price it costs to go to the spas. Finally, if after reading this comment, you still want to go there, watch your credit cards afterwards because I was charged almost $100 for a restaurant even though I didnt set foot there. . Since then, I have had to take several steps to get a refund and I have had a very poor customer experience with the last employees I spoke with. The customer service leaves something to be desired, its very disappointing. I will not return to this place again. Here is a continuation of my first opinion but with the same rather negative content. Its been 3 and a half weeks since my visit to the strom spa where I was charged restaurant fees that didnt belong to me. I still havent received my refund even though I was told it would take 5 to 10 days. Moreover, to obtain this simple information, I had to call a few times and the wait is always very long with obviously little results. Just yesterday, I called leaving my number for a call back and no response. In short, the customer service at the strom spa is deficient, which is truly deplorable. Since the mistake their employees made, I have to follow up on my refund and it is an incredible waste of time and energy. I am therefore continuing in the same vein as in my first review by really not recommending this place, and after reading the comments posted by other customers, I am not the only one to have experienced mishaps at the strom spa. If you took the time to read me and made it to the end, do yourself a favor and save your money for somewhere worth it.

This Strom location was very nice. It is surrounded by a lot of nature and a beautiful mountain. Plenty of options for hot, cold, and rest spaces. It is a bit small and can get very crowded on a weekend, but overall we really enjoyed our time here!

I am disappointed with the welcome received at the Strom Spa in Mont-Saint-Hilaire, particularly from the reception manager. While I was waiting for my turn, I heard her speaking to a customer before me in a condescending way, as if she didnt understand anything. This already gave a very unpleasant impression. When it was my turn, I made an effort to be very polite and, hoping to avoid a tense interaction myself. Unfortunately, I received the same condescending treatment. She made me pay a bill for almost $400 and refused to give me a copy of this bill, despite my repeated requests. I kept my calm, but she didnt even listen to my questions, just claiming that she was the one in charge here. I find this very unfortunate for an institution like Strom Spa, where you are expected to come to relax, and not to have a frustrating and stressful experience. It is simply unacceptable that such behavior is tolerated. It would also be important to mention that the thermal experience is not included with the massages. On the phone I was told: no need to book the thermal experience when you have a massage it is included. So for the others, you will know for sure, it is reserved, but not included!

Unfortunately after reading a few comments that had the same experience, i realized we we re not alone. Although our massages and thermal experience was fine, we noticed the staff s odd attitude. The front desk wasn t particularly friendly as u would expect at a spa and the restaurant staff being even more rude. When we asked if we could sit on the terrace as there was no one inside, the girl responded no . To our obvious confusion we asked why and she said well we have a really big night and we don t sit groups on the terrace. Which wouldn t be a big deal if she had said it respectfully. And obviously during the hour we were there no one sat in the empty spots and no one sat inside either. Overall was disappointed and wouldn t come back, especially not for special occasions

Disappointing in terms of customer service. We are loyal customers of the StromSpa in Saint-Hilaire and have always enjoyed our visits. However, we have recently been very disappointed with the customer service. When wanting to cancel a thermal bath session, they refused to reimburse us, despite the fact that we had never used the access. It is frustrating that in 2024, such a policy will still be in place, especially without any gift card offer in compensation. This no cancellation rule appears to have been introduced during the COVID period when places were limited, but today it is clearly being used to generate additional revenue. This is a deplorable policy, and I expected better from such a reputable place.

**Poor service + scam** I received a Evening Gastronomy gift certificate including a dinner at the restaurant + thermal experience worth $239. Arriving there, I was told that the package was no longer offered and that they could offer us the thermal experience at $108 per person and credit us with the remaining amount if we wanted to dine at the restaurant. We decide to go elsewhere for dinner and come back another day. The next day, I realized that an amount of $216 had been deducted from my gift certificate without us having benefited from the thermal experience. Great scam, poor service. Steps will be taken with Consumer Protection.

Friday October 4, 2024: (2nd visit to the spa) I arrive at Strom Spa Mont-St-Hilaire around 9:50 a.m., less than an hour after opening. The parking lot is already full and that worries me for the hoped-for tranquility of the place. As soon as I open my car door, I hear a noise that no one wants to hear when visiting a spa: construction. And not the little one. I note that indeed, the two lots adjacent to the site seem to be under construction: things are not going well. I arrive at the reception door and a tiny sign indicates that construction noise will indeed be heard. I live 45 minutes away AND I booked a treatment about 1 week ago. In no case on the website or by email was I informed that the tranquility of the premises was compromised: on the other hand, I was informed in 3 different ways that canceling a treatment with less than 48 hours notice would result in costs. Everyone has their own priorities. I still decide to try to enjoy my day (not wanting to pay more for a massage not received and canceled outside the allocated window). As I enter, I see a line of people, several groups of several young adults and several couples. I am warmly welcomed and given my belongings. I am offered a reservation at the restaurant which I accept. So I head towards the site: it hasnt even been open an hour, its already quite full: I would have thought that a weekday would be quieter and I was wrong. In the first whirlpool, it speaks, loudly. I have direct access to the adventures of the young adults evening last night. Her friends find it very funny and share it. Im changing my bath. I head towards a zone of absolute silence. The bath is once again full and the couple is chatting. We hear the noise of the construction completes my zenitude. On the other hand, the site is clean and well maintained. 11:30 reservation at the Nord restaurant. Once again I was welcomed quickly and warmly and the menu was explained to me. We insist on the fact that it is a culinary experience: I understand why after receiving my $70 bill for an autumn vegetable soup (tasty but nothing extraordinary), a salad of beetroot and duck (4 thin slices) and a carrot cake which was actually 3 bites (3 half mini muffins). Furthermore, in the glass roof, the groups present were once again discussing out loud and the sound was amplified on the plastic walls: an atmosphere which unfortunately was not intended to be an extension of the peacefulness encouraged by the place. Then the massage: the massage therapist was professional and competent, she was able to put me at ease and identify the needs. Fortunately, the massage rooms being in the basement, the silence was perfect and no noise disturbed the moment. I warmly recommend Caroline. Return to the bath in the afternoon: discussions are still going well, people are not very concerned or not at all about the silence instructions and no one from the staff comes to enforce the regulations. In addition, sitting near the fireplace, we can hear the lively discussions of people in the restaurant because the glass roof is now open, a young couple near the window speaks so loudly that I wonder if I too am invited to the cinema that same evening. The house under construction on the left lot also seems to be progressing well: we can hear the construction site and the workers (I know its not the sites fault but notifying people before the front door should be a priority) . Finally, after 7 hours on the site, I leave: unfortunately barely more relaxed than when I arrived: too bad.

Great facilities but very poor customer service. I lost my insurance receipt for the massage on site and they refused to give it to me again. We took my contact details on a piece of paper, I got no feedback. I sent an email, no response. I call, their automated system is endless and there is no way to speak to a human. When we visit we wear swimsuits and dressing gowns. Shouldnt they email everyone a receipt by default? I am disappointed with their customer service. ***as the owner suggested in his response, I contacted customer service by phone and was told to write a 2nd email. Which I did. Apparently my email was forwarded to the branch....... I STILL DONT HAVE MY RECEIPT!!!!! We can clearly see that everyone is throwing the ball around on something simple, that a good company would have resolved when I was there. Its very disappointing.

When we come for a question or to enter the thermal experience we have the impression of disturbing and interrupting their conversations in the back room. And compare to other spas, good relaxation is optional, like a smile. No flexibility, nonchalance and not really listening... The showers are not really clean. The bathrobes are in poor condition: gray, torn pocket, bandage found in one of the pockets... I used to come to this spa very often but the last 3 times were disappointing and I will come back more. My partner had a similar experience with a different therapist, which was disappointing. The spas potential is evident, but the high prices and subpar massage services need improvement. This spa was one of my favorites 3 years ago. It was clean and quiet, and the service was friendly. But that is no longer the case. Thats 3 times Ive had an ordinary experience in the last year. Bad service on the phone, on hold for 1h30 even though its a Wednesday pm? Lazy employees who dont seem to enjoy their job and borderline unpleasant. The baths and saunas were dirty, traces of dirty sandals in the hammams, lots of dead skin in the baths, people spoke out loud as if we were in a restaurant. Quite disappointing, I dont know if Ill come back honestly. The Scandinave in Tremblant has never disappointed me in 10 years, always impeccable, calm, magnificent.

I didnt receive the treatment requested, I booked a deep tissue massage and got a Swedish massage!!! Customer service told me to err is human and they offered me a 25% discount on a future massage. A simple apology would have been appreciated rather than an empty and slightly condescending response. This is not the first time that an error of this kind has happened to me in this place, no refund or compensation possible. Very disappointing!!!

Very disappointing customer experience for the price $108 They should accept fewer customers if they cant serve them well Restaurant with plenty of free space but impossible to reserve due to lack of staff. So we buy really ordinary snacks, super limited choice. Impossible to change towels due to lack of dry towels. No place to rest in the sun But several places in the shade are available and they refuse to move the chairs themselves and warn us if we do so to put the equipment back in place. They should make a change of mentality we take a day at the spa to relax and feel good.

Good morning, I first tried to call your home (Mont St-Hilaire branch) and waited a long time before opting for the call back option. I was called back 45 minutes later, but the employee I spoke with couldnt answer my questions and kept repeating the same thing. She was very cold and gave me the impression that my call was bothering her, even though it was she who was calling me back. I would have liked to make a reservation with her, but she told me that it was only possible online. I loved the St-Hilaire Spa, but my last visit was more than disappointing. I dont consider myself a difficult customer. If there are rules or constraints, I respect them. But it has to make sense. I think you lack flexibility. For me, customer service means knowing how to use common sense. Unfortunately, its not your vision, except when its to your advantage. White bathrobes are rendered gray, uncomfortable and beyond shabby. And when my friend asked you to wear hers, you refused. For the towels, we were unable to change them for fear that you would run out of them. We pay a lot of money and I had to spend the day with the same wet towel. Its really ordinary. Your restaurant was half empty, but impossible to go there without a reservation. I respect that. You have your own way of ensuring quality of service, but let people know when you arrive. I didnt book because I didnt want to set a schedule. I often go there later for this reason. Having known that, I would have taken the reservation. There, we fell back on blah and not at all healthy snacks. You have a rule not to move chairs from their places. I understand and respect this. On the other hand, there were many free chairs, but in the shade. The only available chairs in the sun were reserved with bathrobes and towels while several patrons searched for seats. That lacks respect. That shouldnt be admissible. If you impose rules on one side, make sure they make sense on the other. The place is exceptional, but the experience, tinged with small clashes which end up making us bitter. Its really a shame.

Unfriendly restaurant staff and those at reception as cold as some of the pools... Stressed masseuses at the end of the massage and push you out without being able to enjoy more than 5 minutes of rest in the room, under the pretext that they have 15 minutes to eat, go to the bathroom and prepare the room for the next customer. Its the factory! On the other hand, the setting is really pleasant and the multiple areas and facilities are great. Sometimes it lacks cleanliness but we loved the spa experience through all its pools and relaxation rooms. Perhaps offer a relaxing day to your employees so that they are more cheerful and less nervous?

It is a magnificent spa in nature with Mont St-Hilaire overlooking the spa. We even saw a hummingbird! After reading several comments, I wanted to mention that the bathrobes have no holes and their texture is soft. They are not transparent. They are just thinner than other spas. They have clearly fixed the problem mentioned by many before. The North restaurant is excellent. We especially enjoyed the salmon starter, the lamb burger, the French toast and the maple shortbread cookie. We liked the pork terrine and the duck less. Thank you Strom Spa!

Highly recommend. Better than any Nordic spa we ve been to in Ontario. Beautiful area to visit for a day trip from Montreal. Very relaxing, not over crowded. Everything was very clean and there were many pools, dry/wet sauna s and relaxation areas to choose from. Salt scrub and clay mask treatments were included with the thermal experience. Would definitely visit again.

If jackhammers are relaxing for you, then this is your spa. Unfortunately, the neighbours are remodelling and no one informed us. The loud construction noise can be heard throughout the site and even inside some installations. When a few customers brought this to the establishments attention, they were quick to state that they were not responsible. I replied, it is their responsibility to inform the paying customer of the situation because we have choices. This is where the conversation ended. The reception person responsible refused to give us her name which also reflects the level of accountability. Very disappointing customer services for a temporary problem, but it has a significant impact on future choices.

Quality of service really dropped at this place. Brought my family there for a SPA experience, paid over 380 dollars for this shame. Lines at reception are crazy, we waited for over 40 min just to check in for the time we booked. Then we had to change our robes twice before we got ones with no HOLES. The robes there is a separate discussion-change them already! You cannot make all the money in the world. Everyone is making jokes about it in the changing room. It is a disgrace to charge people premium and give them these rotten, torn pieces of cloth, that smell bad already. Cleaning protocols and hygiene overall leave much to be desired at this location. People do whatever they want literally-talk loudly, play in pools, put their feet with shoes on at sauna benches, shoot videos, do not use towels in saunas and leave ponds of sweat all around. Have not seen a single employee making a remark or asking anyone to stop these practices. Curtains in female dressing rooms are moldy, hair everywhere and no one is attending the area there. We wanted to have dinner but decided to pass on it, since we were not sure cleaning protocols are in place there. Overall, a very disappointing experience. We used to be loyal customers, but I do not think we will be any longer. Sad to see things rolling downhill at a place you used to like.

Always a very pleasant spa. Very clean, spacious with several chairs and places to relax. The swimming pool is a nice asset for hot days. Another great asset: free exfoliant and facial treatment station. Very nice and excellent products! Courteous and professional staff. Very good restaurant, but a little expensive (is that so surprising?) A must-see in the region!

I am giving this place 2 stars because it is beautiful but if I had to rate the service for this location, I would give 0 stars. I visited that place twice and both time the service was lacking. Huge line to get to cash. Once called to book appointment, they girl was laughing with someone else and not taking the call seriously. Another time, they moved my appointment to the next day and never confirmed it with me. When I got there, I pointed at their online booking service, how I had booked it properly and i do not want the next day appointment. They said that we usually charge people when we have to cancel last minute but we are doing you a favor and we wont charge you... your system is horrible and your staff have an unbearable attitude and you want to charge me for what? I wont go back!

Total disappointment when we arrived at the spa yesterday. I gave my lover a Saveurs Boréales en week gift card for Christmas that I bought on their site 1 week before Christmas worth $113.83, so 2x, 1x for each of us. So yesterday we decided to go there feeling a little hungry so that we could have lunch beforehand and then enjoy the baths. When we arrived, presenting our 2 gift cards, the employee told us that the package was no longer valid and that I would have to pay $70 x2, therefore $140, so that we could benefit from the same package... I refused indignantly so she told us that she had to calculate it as an entrance to the bath in high season by taking the amount of the gift card of $113.73 so that left $5.75 each for the restaurant. So we are not far from the glass of wine and the Nordic plate which has not been respected. What should have been a wonderful evening with my lover turned into frustration and anger. I am very disappointed, shocked, indignant to see that companies sell gift cards and do not respect them!!!

Very very disappointed with the customer service following a refund issue. Several email exchanges, unable to get a person to call me back, when I speak to the receptionists, they cannot give me their name, I send back the requested information several times. No chance Ill be their customer again. More than a month and a half already and 3 people confirm to me that payment will be made within 10-15 working days and never anything. Lots of waste of time and energy.

Theres a reason over twenty reviews here are about fly infestation. Its a really big deal, Ive had the opportunity to travel a lot in my life and Ive been to farms and places in the jungle or even unsanitary places where there were fewer flies than in this spa. Dozens dead on the floors, dozens around and every time you sit somewhere you have 5 to 10 flies on you, even in the indoor rooms, the saunas, flies everywhere and on you, on your skin. I came home after my spa day quite stressed and discouraged instead of more relaxed. And in the evening I had the impression of having the little legs of flies still all over my body when I went to bed.. Really unpleasant. Its a real shame because the staff are wonderful, the facilities are incredible, the food is careful and delicious. I am a loyal customer of this spa, but I always came in winter and autumn, in the cold season. Its the first time I came in summer and having so many flies on my little new one gave me anxiety. We couldnt sit or lie down anywhere (neither outside nor in the rest rooms). It was nightmarish. The situation really needs to be addressed. I see there have been comments about this for years. Its extreme!

I was really looking forward to going there but unfortunately disappointed! I rarely complain but this was very unpleasant. My boyfriend wanted to treat me to a day at the spa and had bought a gift card, when we arrived 2 girls gave us no smile and not even a hello. We said we had a gift card and first thing she said I cant take it there is no balance all this said in a stupid and cold manner and without even making sure there was a balance she just looked at the gift card! My boyfriend didnt understand because there was indeed $100 on it! We practically had to make eyes at her so that she would go and consult her colleague to be sure that there was money in it. Finally after 20 minutes of searching between the two of them, accompanied by sighs and rolling of their eyes, they realized that there was indeed $100 on it! But thats not all ! Afterwards we took advantage of the baths and facilities which are incredible, believe me! Finally we went to take a shower and a girl from the staff came into the locker room and came to tell me hurry up, its closing, you have to get out now I wouldnt have taken it badly if they hadnt yelled at me and if it would have been said differently. And the best for the end ! When my boyfriend came out of the shower, 3 employees were in front of the changing rooms and they exclaimed one less at last in a rude and haughty manner. If the staff had been more cordial I would probably have loved my experience but to be honest it ruined our romantic outing really disappointed to have spent $200 for a very rude and hurtful service! THANKS !

Not a welcome atmosphere. Not a pleasant experience. The robes were so used & so old I don t understand why they don t invest in more presentable spa robes, we weren t comfortable wearing them. The bistro was closed! The only way you can have something to eat was at the pricy restaurant. We weren t allowed drinking or eating but at the restaurant which is ridiculous since they closed the Bistro without telling us while we were reserving. The pool was unclean full of bugs - Flies were everywhere we couldn t take a nap of 10 mins. In the afternoon, they started putting a note card saying: Please do not reserve seats That was so odd! We are not picky people but I had to write it for I wish I knew before going. Even the tiny salt section has an foul smell I couldn t put it on my face or body! Who ever is in charge of this place surely doesn t care about the place nor making sure the customer have a nice experience. Not recommended Never going back even if it s free.

I had spa passes with gift cards. I reserved my places in advance but the temperature has changed and is really not pleasant to fully enjoy the spa so I asked to CHANGE my reservation, no way possible. They wont even let me talk to the supervisor. So I have no choice but to give my gift cards anyway and lose them otherwise they will charge my card... Really disappointing service. Makes no attempt to satisfy the customer.

Hello, my name is Emilie Valiquette, I came to the St-hilaire spa on August 8 during my vacation, unfortunately I did not have a good experience, I called afterwards to report it but I did not I didnt get any follow-up, which still surprised me. I will give you a summary and I sincerely hope that it will be given to the right person and taken seriously this time. Being the director of a department, I believe that it is important to transmit information which, in my opinion, is still important. Firstly when I arrived, there was a good queue, it doesnt bother me I completely understand and Im on vacation :) Finally arrived at the reception, after 30 minutes of waiting, I tried to find my gift certificate on my phone but in vain since the WIFI was not functional, it lasted a good 15 minutes, seeing that the young lady in front of me got impatient I told him that I was going to go outside to see if my data would be able to recover the famous $150 certificate so I wanted to use it. Ultimately it didnt work anymore, when I tried to go inside to find a solution I realized that there was still the famous queue, but it had increased a lot, on several occasions. I see that the young lady sees me but she does not offer me to go ahead, 45 minutes later I arrive at the reception (already 1:15 lost) finally we find the famous certificate. I quickly realize that I no longer have my bottle of water which I had forgotten when I arrived at the very beginning at the reception, I ask her if anyone has seen it or taken it, she answers me curtly no and what was going to come back to the lost objects, I ask her where they are and she again tells me dryly that the bottle of water had still not returned to them. I seem to be making a big deal with the famous water bottle but yes indeed it is a gift from one of my colleagues, who has just arrived from Banff, in fact the bottle is made of wood with Banff written on it. Well, Im not making a big deal about it and Im buying myself a new bottle of Strom water. Finally I can enjoy this wonderful day ahead of me (its now 12:00 with all that and I have a reservation at the restaurant for 12:45) so I hardly have time to enjoy the baths. At the restaurant I would like to mention it was excellent as usual, and very good service :) After my dinner, I decide to lie down before my massage which is starting soon, and suddenly I see a man drinking from MY water bottle, I go to see him kindly and I say to him sir this is my bottle of water. water him to answer me no maam I bought it when I arrived, I didnt want to persist but the man confirms to me that he bought this bottle of water..... WOW they sold my water bottle to the customer, which is written and I quote BANFF We go to the reception so that Monsieur can collect his bottle of water and I can collect mine (again, the response from the young lady at the reception was not very friendly) Afterwards I go to my massage, I would like to say that I am not usually the complaining type, but again I was unfortunately not impressed by this one, at $159.00 the massage we were expected something extraordinary, unfortunately it was not the case and far from it... In summary, my experience did not live up to my expectations, I am a loyal customer, I really like your spa but this time it was disappointing. A day at the Spa, including baths, massage and dinner at the restaurant still costs $300. As I mentioned to you above, I already called earlier but no one followed up with me, I dont ask for anything in return but knowing the dissatisfaction I feel I would still like a compensation or otherwise. I leave this in your hands hoping that it will be taken into account. THANKS

Very disappointing to be refused a change of date when you have menstrual bleeding... this establishment prefers to take this kind of risk rather than prioritizing the hygiene and safety of other users of the thermal area. they apparently have no consideration for womens issues, discriminatory behavior. Too bad we still have to fight about this in the 21st century.

Another random pending charge on my account from Strom Spa. I was there over a month ago when they first over charged my card. I was refunded a month later only to be charged again this morning June 26 2024. I have no words. At this point I wish I never went there. I did not give authorization for these charges. and the time wasted to get my card refunded is truly disappointing.

TRANSACTION NOT AUTHORIZED ON MY CREDIT CARD 15 DAYS FOLLOWING MY VISIT *** On May 15, I enjoyed a day at the spa for which I had a gift certificate. The employee at the counter forgot to use it for payment and instead used my credit card. An error happens! The next day, the 16th, I had to call to have everything corrected. A few days later, everything is regularized. Two weeks later, I notice a new stromspa transaction on my credit card account dated May 30. I contact customer service, they are very sorry and are not able to explain to me what happened but tell me that I will be reimbursed soon for this error. Since then, I have made several calls and emails. The center says they cannot contact the St-Hilaire spa directly for reimbursement and informs me that they are sending the message. Despite the last email confirmation on June 14, I still have not received my refund. I asked the person at the end of the line to call me back to confirm when it would be done and she invited me to call back if it was not done as planned.. so I am responsible for my follow-up from the start rather than customer service taking care of it, it seems to me that it is not my task but entouka! So check your credit card account! Then be patient to obtain your refund. And good luck in your many follow-ups! We agree, on May 30 on the phone they were unable to explain to me why this transaction had been made on my credit card and after a month and a half, it is still not resolved. Very disappointed with the St Hilaire stromspa experience.

Move on, the service is deplorable (on the phone and on site), once your money is taken there is no chance of getting it back even if it was an error on their part. No response to contact request. A moment that should have been relaxing became a pain. Im in the process of calling my card company to get a refund. The spa only sends the invoice on request, not really transparent... As for the spa itself, it is noisy, the bath robes are of low quality (a drop of water and you will be soaked for the whole experience, no chance of having a replacement dress), the hair dryer is done with cold air, eating at their restaurant will take you 3 hours and so on. Its really not worth it even with such beautiful scenery, go elsewhere

Let s start with the positives. Spacious, clean and beautiful surroundings. The Finnish barrel spa with one side a full window is amazing. The window was super clean and let in natural light and a great view. I had lunch and the soup was delicious. Tasty bread and flavoured butter was a big plus for me. There are real wood burning fires, great ambience. But what follows is the reason for my low review. There was a sign with an invitation to try some beauty products in one of the relaxation areas. I decided to try it out. Started out well, a very pleasant smelling cleansing makeup remover cream. Second step was a clay mask, this is what I most wanted to try. Unfortunately there was none left in the container. I went to the front desk and asked if the container could be refilled. I was assured that this would be taken care of and someone was called. I continued my spa experience and decided to try the clay face mask at the end. So about two hours later I go to the station eager to try the clay mask. Well now the hand pump for the product was missing and again no product. Disappointed I went to prepare to go home. At the reception when I handed in my key I explained the situation and asked for a sample of the clay mask to try at home. I thought this would be a reasonable solution. But no, I was told samples were not given but I could try the product right there at the reception? Are the employees aware of the products they are selling? No, I would not put on the clay mask then drive home. No, I would not sit in the reception area with the face mask on for twenty minutes. Absurd! So the employee said she would go and ask if something else could be done. Ten minutes later I asked the other employee when the first employee would be back with a response. She went and brought the first employee back. I seriously wondered if she would have come back at all, thinking I would just leave. Again I was told to use the product, the clay mask in the reception area. That she could not give me a sample to try at home. I stated that if they did not have the product they should not be promoting it on site inviting people to try it. She adamantly told me they did have the product, that it just takes time to fill the containers. Seriously, two hours is not enough time? Two hours passed from when I asked for the refill to when I went to the station to try it. In any case, what a sour taste I am left with at this interaction at the reception. It is not just about the availability of the product the spa is promoting. It is about the rudeness and lack of respect the personal had towards me. No, I will not return.
