Notre-Bœuf-de-Grâce in Montreal

Went in with my wife for a deluxe burger after a long day of running around. We chose 2 different burgers and shared them. Food was served quickly and cooked to perfection and atmosphere was good. Will return in the future.

It was my neighborhood restaurant when I lived in Montreal, the custom burgers were so good. I came from Ottawa to satisfy my craving and I was hugely disappointed by the presentation, the bread is no longer like before and its really average, it looks like a McDonalds style fast food burger. The service was also average, in English only, we were given a single bill for three people. It was the last time unfortunately...

I have rarely had such a bad online ordering experience. Additionally, customer service is non-existent. The employees really dont care, they are stupid and disinterested. No verification and the refusal that I give him the order number we leave for home we realize that there is an error in the bag given, the payment split (credit on order and debit at the counter). We come back, we explain the situation but one of the waitresses persists in speaking to us only in English, looking at us like we were the thick ones in this story. And finally, after the money refund, she leaves, turning her back on us without apology or thanks. When we arrived to eat after the return trips, our meals were cold. And the $3 bacon was missing from a burger. The worst thing is that these employees ask for a tip for a take-out order. Being the owner, a small meeting would be on the schedule. At least for us it was the last time.

Went there on a Friday evening for a quick bite. The burger bun was stale and fell apart with every bite. The burger had no salt or flavor, and the chocolate milkshake tasted more like vanilla. When I informed my server of all this, all they offered was a sorry about that and kept it moving. I ve been a fan of this chain since its inception in NDG when they took over the Indian spot. They have not been consistent in a long time and are still pricey for what you re getting.

Probably shouldnt have eaten that. But man, oh man, was it tasty.

Well, first of all, very beautiful, charming place, just opposite Le Farfelu. The menu is varied and the cocktails very cold. On the other hand, the Philly Dog (the chefs specialty) is in fact just a simple soumarin (supporting photo). Me and my sweetheart recommend the Mac n Ribs, WOW a real treat! Pleasant atmosphere, sunshine on the menu, cool and even trendy people! On the other hand, vulgar smell of cannabis due to the very busy Mont Royal Avenue!

They are famous for their burgers. I recommend their classic with cheese, but their burger with blue cheese is amazing too (although at some of their restaurant we could not find it). You have to take the sweet potato fries instead of the normal fries, they are delicious!

You must request service in French and the food is quite overrated because the burgers are bland. The fries are usually overcooked for my liking. But the dining room offers a nice atmosphere, which is not always the case in the restaurants on this part of Sherbrooke Street.

This place used to be really good, but has severely decreased in quality. We paid ~$25 each for burgers with unmelted cheese, dry, hard buns, and cheap box lettuce advertised as arugula. The service was extremely slow and we waited well over 30 minutes for 2 burgers. There are a lot of better places nearby to get burgers

I try and avoid this place as much as possible. If they couñd get away with hiring 6 year olds for the lowest wage possible they would. Food is over priced, underpaid/understaffed first time workers cant keep up with customer service. Been here 15 minutes stil waiting to ordwr a drink. Look at my other reviews im more likely to give good reviews then bad this place is truley aweful.

This spot was amazing! We came to have lunch before heading out to NDGs Prochfest and it was an amazing start to a lovely afternoon! I ordered the Orozco burger along with a bourbon lemonade! Highly recommend! They were very busy but the staff was smiling the whole time and was super friendly. We good our food in good time and it was delicious! For anyone looking for a great burger and a great atmosphere should definitely try this spot!

We had a very good meal. We decided to get appetizers and shared with everyone at the table. Turned out to be a great way to sample many of their dishes. The restaurant is clean and the staff are friendly and only speaking English on our side was not a problem at all. Thanks for the wonderful dinner.

This is only a review of their ribs and fries, not burgers. We received the food, it, it looked delicious, but when we dug in, we were sorely dissapointed, For what we paid, we had an expectaion. After all, Bowfinger is litterally two blocks away. When we tried the ribs, the sauce was tastey. As we bit in, we realized it was just pasted on. The ribs were moist, but tasteless. I have eatern ribs bought form Metro that had more taste, yet at half the cost, which is dissapointing as I was paying for an experience. These were not not deep cooked. These were not sauce infused. This was a rip off. Take out serves were nice, and food ready within time suggested, and they were very friendly, So Kudos to them. Jerk fries were overly spicely and unappealling (spicy, with no sweetness), and were inedible. It was like they just (overly) covered them in a hot spice. Regular fries were good, but nothing worth mentioning. TLDR: Overpriced, tasteless ribs that were probably microwaved, with sauce added after. Jerk fries were spicey, with no appeal. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Buy from a reputable rib place if you want tastey, non microwaved ribs.

Great burgers and a helpful staff, Ive gotten their gluten free food twice without issue. They even have a gluten free fryer and I appreciate it because their tater tots are awesome! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options and happy to double check on whether certain sauces contain dairy

Food is great, but the service is so awful it ruined the whole experience. Unattentive staff, had to get up to order since waiters werent paying attention to me waiving for 10 minutes in a half empty restaurant.

I cheated on my diet, and I did it with Notre-B uf-de-Grâce. Do I regret it ? NOPE ! Will I do it again ? Yup !!! Already looking at the menu for tonight ! For all those who are on a diet .. Give yourself a treat and try Notre-B uf-de-Grâce you deserve it ! just have a salad for breakfast the following day that should balance things out !

I wanted to try this restaurant with friends but in the end, there was nothing exceptional!! Already to begin with the busboy brought the glasses of water and he was holding the rim... how are we supposed to drink from them knowing that we saw him holding the broom etc... and he didnt wash his hands in the meantime? Then the food is absolutely not worth the price!!! The quality/quantity ratio vs the price is a joke.... I realized that I had overestimated this restaurant a little... At least the only positive thing was that we had good service!!

My friend recently had lunch in Notre-Dame-de-Boeuf restaurant in Montreal and like previous visits, it did not disappoint. I ordered the Divine Inspiration burger with fries and it was excellent. This burger had two patties, cheese, lettuce, pickle, onion and the restaurant s secret sauce. The service was excellent as was the restaurant ambience. I gave this restaurant five stars

I went to eat a hamburger last Monday at the restaurant located on rue Sherbrooke. I was sick a few hours later and until the next day. I suspect meat. A consequence undoubtedly of the power cuts.

Beautiful place and good food

We went on a late Saturday afternoon. We had burgers, ribs, mac and cheese with fries. Service is below par sporadic at best and meals take a very long time to be served. They prioritize delivery take out production over in house customers which is unacceptable. We ordered two bottles of san pelligrino, the first one arrived cold and the second one was room temperature. We had a female waitress at first who then changed to a male waiter and we habe no idea why?? Mac and cheese was super bland and arrived cold it seemed cooked in advance and reheated poorly or not at all. We dont return food in restaurants fearing vindication from the entreprise. They placed 5 girls right beside our table that was a table for 4 and the person sitting beside me was less then 6 inches from my seat. This was super unacceptable and uncomfortable! She was almost sitting in my food, I could not get out to go to the bathroom or for any other reason I had to wait for all of us to leave to get out from the other side. They never asked us if it was OK to squeeze us in this manner woth someone practically sitting in my lap!! The burgers are delicious however I will never go back to this location after the terrible service long wait for food and the poor quality of heating the food. The st laurent location has a much better way of treating customers and service. We were cramped in because they didnt give 5 girls a booth to sit at and didnt even habe the decency to respect our eating spacr

First time we ate and drank there we suspect the ice got us sick. Burger was amazing. Drink was off. We ordered uber eats today and called in to confirm to tell the chef not to put mushrooms which there is a severe kiwi, legume and mushroom allergy in the home and both combos came with mushrooms. Could have been life or death situation. Must update or follow up with allergy requests.

The place looks a bit like Beauty and the Ox. The decoration of the room is rustic and chic. Overall, my experience was good. I was especially disappointed because my waitress did not serve me in French despite my attempts to make her understand that I would like to be served in French. However, another waitress, a little later, came to see us to ask if everything was okay and spoke, this time, in French. We ate on the terrace and I found the atmosphere pleasant. The room, at lunchtime, is not too noisy. However, since we are on Sherbrooke Street, which is a busy street and currently undergoing renovation, there was relatively a lot of noise outside. The food, for my part, was really excellent. Again, I found the style of food and menu to be very similar to Lady and the Ox. Vegetarian options: There is no special mention on the menu to indicate whether the dishes are vegetarian or vegan. There is also no section for vegetarian and vegan dishes. However, I noticed that some dishes can be vegetarian like mac and cheese and a salad. It should also be possible, in my opinion, to remove my meat from certain dishes. The vast majority of dishes, however, contain meat. Parking: On Sherbrooke Street, it is generally possible to park in front of restaurants. However, you have to pay. The perpendicular streets are mainly residential and it is also possible to park your car there without paying. Generally speaking, at lunchtime, it was very easy to park. Kid-friendliness: The place is suitable for children. There was actually a large family right next to us on the terrace. Wheelchair accessibility: Once inside the restaurant and on the terrace, it may be very difficult, in my opinion, to get around in a wheelchair and even on crutches. The restaurant is quite small and the aisles are narrow.

If you are ready to wait 30 minutes for your Uber eats order be prepared, you are in the right place. Terrible, the kitchen uses gas and it doesnt work at all.

Friendly staff with ample LGBTQ+ representation. Rustic furniture with avant-garde music and decor offered an interesting environment to dine in. The beef is fantastic, and if you like fruit, try the tropical chicken burger. Also offers a great family-friendly environment.

Excellent food and even better service. Staff were very attentive and made awesome recommendations for food. The menu items we ordered included the Biblical Brie, The Altar Boys and the Dios Mios poutine all of them super tasty and filling. We hope to be back soon!

Super good food to start again

Music was a little loud, service was friendly but was a little slow on taking the order. The food was excellent and they had fun activity placemats for the kids . The wax crayons were tiny but good enough to keep the kids busy. Melting in your mouth burgers. Wow really good. I love the fun/ local artwork.

Please know if you re going here they no longer sell house made veggie Patties (and havent for months but didn t update the menus). I also wasn t told they didn t have it. I specifically ordered the house made patty and was given beyond meat which I cannot eat. I had to re-order something I didn t want and only began eating when my partner had finished their food. Then they tried to charge me for both meals even though the first wasn t even touched. I was never apologized to or offered any discounts for eating a meal I didn t want separately from everyone else. Very disappointing

Staff here are very kind and fun (even to us Anglophones lol). My kids really enjoyed the food, and I enjoyed some great cocktails. We came back again for the Fanta creamsicle/drinks on our last night. Kid-friendliness: Proper kod friendly mac & cheese. It was devoured!

I d previously tried the location in the village/downtown and I can assure you this location is just as good. I highly recommend the Garden of Eden burger and the salmon tartar. The caesar salad is very good too. Delivery is quick with Uber Eats.

The food was decent but the tater tots and poutine were amazing. The service was absolutely horrible - we waited an hour for our food and it was impossible to get a server to come to our table even though we made eye contact and got their attention a few times. There were no apologies, no follow up, nothing. Would not go back again.

11 of us arrived in the restaurant twice and we were very well received, we were passing through Montreal and we do not regret our stop in this restaurant, the burgers are succulent and the fries are divine. Where do I even begin, when it comes to my love of this incredible burger establishment? This review was prompted by a really negative experience with another burger joint, last night. I figured, if I can take the time to dissect Obvious burger, and detail all of the reasons why their eatery should be absolutely ashamed of what they dare to pass off as meat, I can certainly spare 15-20 minutes, to gush a moment, about the masters of the food industry, who actually bother to do their jobs (and their customers) right. This place is definitely not cheap, and its no wonder why- there is absolutely no hint of any compromise on quality, at Notre Boeuf De Grace. Without a doubt, you will get exactly what you pay for, as-advertised (perfect and pink in the middle, everytime) and worth every penny you pay. Ive never experienced a burger in Montréal quite like NBDG, before or since. I easily consider these guys the undisputed champions among burger chains in Montréal (with an honorable mention to 5 Guys, who sadly are no longer in my delivery area!). Notre Boeufs sandwiches are cooked with attentive, loving, & discriminating perfection; they manage to deliver extremely impressive meals, with the consistency and reliability of familiar fast food eateries, and the decadent, outstanding quality that youd expect, from the bill that will accompany your 5 sandwich. If you have the money to spare, its a worthwhile and rewarding treat. Ive never, ever been disappointed by NBDG, not delivery, take-out or eat-in (and Ive done all three). This place will always be the first restaurant that comes to mind, when money is no object and Im craving some genuine, real comfort food. As long as the quality remains unchanged, I will be a loyal customer, for the foreseeable future. My hat goes off to these guys, they provide a special, memorable, and unarguably celebrated staple among dining experiences on this Island, and no Foodie Tour of MTL could ever be considered complete or well-rounded, without paying a visit to any Notre Boeuf de Grace location; a superior and unparalleled must-try!

The bloom is off the rose for this NDG eatery. Server was rushing us through the meal (we were not dawdling) and the food was ok, nothing spectacular.

Ordered four burgers, two beef and two vegetarian. We requested that the boxes be labeled, but they werent. The meat burgers looked decadent, but the two non-meat options were sad by comparison and their flavour was severely lacking. The non-meat burger meals came about half as many fries as the non-meat options. Its felt to me like this meat-centric restaurant doesnt like vegetarians. With all the delivery fees and such, a basic burger and fries came to 30$ !?!?!? I would have been far more satisfies with an A&W Beyond Meat burger. I do not reccomended this restaurant for vegetarians

Burgers and fries are good, plenty of tasty options and alternatives, and build-your-own option. However, it has become absurdly expensive. This weekend I bought two burgers and some yam fries- after tip the total came to 65$. Way too expensive for this kind of food. Also, I never eat there in-person anymore because I am never happy with the service: slow, blasé waiters who couldn t care less about offering a nice experience. Not feeling inclined to eat NBG anymore.

Food was a disappointment. The chicken wings were not fully cooked, calamari was essentially batter, the poutine was extremely salty... Music was quite loud. Not used to write critical comments but got disappointed and I really felt I overpaid...

Homemade coke (very sweet) without warning. $60 bill, I pay with a bill. 100$ the waitress (the replacement of the one who served us) asks if I want my change. She comes back with 2 $20 bills, I ask for change, she leaves and didn t understand . We get up and ask, she replies oh do you want $10? With a disgusted look . $40, even a $20 tip is excessive for a $60 bill. 20% is $15 if Im not mistaken? And is it the customer who has to give the tip or the waitress offers it herself? First and last visit!

Great Burgers and shakes!

It was so good I had to try it twice just to make sure. I had the steak and cheese wrap, like the box said today was the best cheat day. Lots of flavor. I didnt even want to talk just let me have this moment with my wrap. I definitely will be back.

And the tater tots are a real treat, spicy to perfection, in good quantities... We ate on the terrace one evening in October, we really felt like we were on vacation! Impeccable service.

Nous sommes entrés (2), avons attendu 10 min sans aucun regard ou attention portée à nous. Puis nous nous sommes assis, avons attendu 5 min, toujours rien sauf plusieurs livreurs doordash et autres circulant sans arrêt. Nous avons ensuite pris des menus et attendu un autre 5 min et quitté sans avoir eu déchange de regard avec les 4 personnes présentes sur le plancher.

It is a decent burger restaurant but the service seems, to the most part, disinterested in serving the restaurants customers. Not a place I have a fondness for, despite eating there several times.

I Love this restaurant I am vegetarian and gluten intolerant and they have a good menu for me :)

Does not get more American in Quebec! I have not seen burgers like they have them here in many US places.
